The diploma thesis is focused on vibration of the planar plates. It includes the computational and experimental approaches used to determine the mode shapes and frequencies (eigenvalues) of planar plates. This paper compares the analytical, numerical and experimental results of the modal analysis specifically the free-standing rectangular planar plate. The work also encompasses forced oscillation with harmonious excitement as a continuation of the obtained results from modal analysis.

Анотація:
Chování laminátových desek namáhaných na tlak či na smyk může být výrazně ovlivněno přítomností delaminací, tedy oblastí, kde je porušena vazba mezi sousedními vrstvami. Cílem této práce je rozšířit znalosti o chování delaminovaných desek, a to především o chování desek s větším počtem delaminací a desek s delaminacemi libovolného tvaru, neboť taková podoba porušení laminátu více odpovídá poškození vznikajícího v důsledku nízkorychlostního dopadu cizího tělesa na laminátovou desku. Disertační práce se skládá ze tří hlavních částí. V první části jsou stručně nastíněny postupy využívané při analýze boulení delaminovaných desek a jsou diskutována omezení těchto analýz. Dále jsou v této části shrnuty hlavní poznatky o boulení delaminovaných desek. V druhé části práce je popsán výpočtový model použitý v rámci disertační práce pro analýzu boulení delaminovaných desek. Schopnost modelu předpovědět chování delaminovaných desek je pak dokumentována na několika ověřovacích úlohách. Třetí část disertační práce se skládá ze tří samostatných studií chování desek s několika delaminacemi eliptického či kruhového tvaru a jedné studie zabývající se možností náhrady obecného tvaru delaminace kruhem či elipsou. Je probírán vliv řady parametrů na chování delaminovaných desek, konkrétně vliv orientace vrstev laminátu a dále vliv počtu, tvaru, orientace a umístění delaminací. Na základě těchto studií jsou pak zformulována doporučení ohledně postupu při posuzování únosnosti delaminovaných konstrukcí.

The subject of this thesis is analysis of the plastic bearability of plates. The first part is dedicated to a description of pertinent theories. It is primarily a theory of material nonlinearity and plasticity, including a description of plasticity models, which are commonly used in engineering analysis. Next is the hinted theory of geometric nonlinearity and discusses the key principles of limit plastic bearability of plates. This thesis includes ultimate strength calculations of plates of selected shapes, their solution by both, a manual calculation and using computational software. The obtained values are subsequently evaluated. The appendices contain the procedures for modelling in the computational programs RFEM and ANSYS.

Анотація:
The subject of the submitted work is the experimental and theoretical investigation of composite slabs. The work also deals with creation of numerical models of composite slabs. The design of a new type of steel sheeting for composite slab according to nowadays standards requires full scale laboratory bending tests. An alternative to the bending tests are the small scale shear tests. The small scale shear tests as well as corresponding design methods have already been investigated by many researchers. Therefore several test arrangements and corresponding design methods can be found in literature but none of them is included in standards yet. The submitted thesis describes three of the alternative design methods: Slip- Block Test, Simplified Method and Built-up Bars. The test arrangement is proposed to be usable in all these methods. The small scale shear test have been performed in laboratory in several modifications. The results were used to calculate the bending resistance of the slab by the alternative design methods. The calculated bending resistances were mutually compared, compared with the performed bending tests resistances and the resistances by the methods described in Eurocode: m-k method and partial connection method. A sensitivity studies of the input parameters in alternative design methods are presented as well. The optimal design method for use in practice was searched and recommended based on the performed studies, accuracy and laboriousness of the methods. The shear tests were used also to measure longitudinal shear resistance of the additional shear anchors. The alternative design methods were used to predict bending resistance of the slab using these anchors and the results were compared. The numerical simulation of the composite action of the slab by the finite element methods is modelled in Atena software. The models serves to perform parametrical studies and to better understand of the behaviour of the slab in partial composite action.

Resumo : Reafirmando as potências que existem na filosofia e na literatura, através de encontros entre textos de Gilles Deleuze-Félix Guattari e de contos de João Guimarães Rosa, este trabalho discute a educação como plano de imanência, como promotora de agenciamentos, como experimentação. Destacam-se também, neste texto, além de imanência e agenciamento, o conceitos de rizoma; territorialização/desterritorialização/reterritorialização; e rostidade. A discussão teórica é atravessada por textos literários que vibram os conceitos. A literatura pulsa criação, é ritmo que convida a. A arte, tão presente nos escritos de Deleuze-Guattari, atualiza também aqui os conceitos filosóficos, repetindo-os. Nessa repetição, em uma escrita-experimentação, repleta de movimentos, atravessada, que pulsa, que segue caminhos tresloucados, que faz fugir e agir, que evita um único rosto, reafirma-se a potência da educação. Cumprindo seu papel de dissertação de mestrado em Filosofia da Educação, o texto busca movimentar o nosso pensamento em uma área aberta, povoada por filósofos e artistas, que a atravessam com seus saberes. Por sugestão dos membros da banca examinadora, anexei à dissertação o filme-apresentação em DVD que fiz para a exposição deste trabalho no dia da defesa. Abstract : Reassuring the potentiality of philosophy and literature, through encounters of texts by Gilles Deleuze-Félix Guattari and short stories by João Guimarães Rosa, we have considered education as a plane of immanence, as a possibility of assemblage, as experimentation. Other philosophical concepts will be observed in education: rhizome, territorialization/deterritorialization/reterritorialization, and faciality. The theoretical argument will be related to literary texts which are connected to the concepts. Literature pulses creation, it is an inviting rhythm. Art, so present in Deleuze-Guattari¿s writings, actualizes the philosophical concepts, and it repeats them. In repetition, in na experimentation-writing, full of movements, crossings, pulsations, that follows surprising paths, that causes flight and acting, that avoids an only face, we can assure the potentiality of education. It is a master¿s dissertation in Philosophy of Education that aims to make our thoughts of education more open, by interconnecting philosophy and art, and the ways their specific knowledge is intertwined. A film-experimentation used to present this dissertation is attached to the written material, as suggested by the examining board

This master thesis introduces the problematics of multilayer printed circuit boards. Theoretical part is focused on materials used for production of multilayer PCB and their parameters. At the same time, it focuses on the pressing process of multi-layered PCB, the types of presses used and their advantages and disadvantages. Practical part describes the methodology and testing of the PCB to identify the reliability of chosen electrical parameters. Testing is aimed to simulate thermal stress during machine soldering and during thermal stress in the target environment.

British filmmaker, writer, artist, activist and gardener Derek Jarman (1942–94) blended visionary queer politics and a commitment to rehabilitating LGBTQ+ pasts with repeated acts of experimental self-representation. This is the first book-length study to focus on his books, all of which are autobiographical. I use an expanded concept of the term life-writing to encompass not only his published books, but also his strategic self- representations in film. The thesis focuses on work produced in the last decade of Jarman’s life, a period of intense and prolific activity, especially following his diagnosis as HIV-positive in 1986. During this period, he produced a series of books that contain strong autobiographical elements. Like a number of artists and writers including David Wojnarowicz and Edmund White, he consistently created art with material drawn from his life, using it as a generative activist force. I argue that Jarman extends what autobiography can do, in ways that are notably different from the scope of his contemporaries’ AIDS literature and ways of bearing witness. He repeatedly uses particular images and symbols, creating transhistorical, allegorical forms of self- representation that take inspiration from diverse periods including the classical period in Ancient Greece, the Medieval and Renaissance. He used interdisciplinary methods across media to create urgent work. I argue that Jarman’s collaborative collage technique in his life-writing is a queer practice of survival that also seeks to change the terms of his representation. Through it, he explores the performative power and potential of life-writing whilst nevertheless seeking to represent his lived experience. Jarman’s unusual approach helped create new ways to communicate about LGBTQ+ lives. The thesis finds that Jarman’s diverse and moving body of life-writing is intrinsic to his artistic and political project. This uniquely interdisciplinary work is a testament to optimism in community during a time of crisis.

Cette étude porte sur l’exploration du processus et du phénomène par lesquels l’identité nationale et culturelle des Caraïbes a été construite. Dans la poursuite de cet objectif, deux poèmes majeurs et une pièce de théâtre dramatique de Derek Walcott seront examinés. La première s’agit de son poème épique créole, Omeros, qui se concentre sur les enjeux de l’identité créole et le concept de l’héros national.Étant donnée que la poésie de Walcott est fortement influencée par sa vie personnelle et en conséquence,par la vie dans son pays natal, l'île de Sainte-Lucie, il paraît indispensable à examiner son poème autobiographique, Another Life, qui est un compte rétrospectif de Walcott et son parcours artistiquejusqu’à l’âge de 33 ans. En outre, puisque Omeros met en parallèle la poésie homérique, cette étude bénéficie également d’une exploration de son autre réécriture de la poésie homérique, The Odyssey : aPlay. Cette étude tente à monter que ces deux réécritures se sont complémentaires : le poème épique antillais est la quête d’identité du point de vue du sujet colonial, tandis que la pièce de théâtre dramatique antillaise est la quête d’identité de la perspective du colonisateur. L’étude de la poésie et des pièces de théâtre dramatiques de Walcott nous aident à percevoir les façons dont le poète antillais tente à déconstruire l’importance de la tradition littéraire occidentale à travers la réécriture de la poésie homérique. Cette tradition perpétue l’opposition binaire de supériorité/infériorité qui joue un rôle déterminant dans la construction de l’identité d’un individu. En déplaçant les personnages et la littérature de Saint Lucie de leur emplacement dans les marges vers le centre, Walcott décentre la poésie homérique, et la littérature occidentale. This thesis seeks to explore the process and phenomenon through which Caribbean national and cultural identity has been constructed. In order to achieve this goal, two of Derek Walcott’s major poems and one of his dramas have been chosen. The first is his Creole epic poem, Omeros, which concentrates on the issues of Creole identity and the concept of national hero. Since Walcott’s poetry is highly influenced by his personal life and consequently life in his homeland, the island of Saint Lucia, it seems indispensable to study his autobiographical poem, Another Life, which is Walcott’s retrospective review of his artistic journey until the age of 33. Moreover, since Omeros draws parallelswith Homeric epics, it seems highly beneficial to this study to include his other rewriting of Homericepics, The Odyssey : a Play. This study makes an effort to show that these two rewritings are complementary to each other: the West Indian epic poem is the quest for identity seen from the point of view of the colonized subject, whereas the West Indian stage drama is the quest for identity from the colonizer’s perspective. Studying Walcott’s poetry and dramas helps one perceive the ways in which the West Indian poet makes an effort to deconstruct the importance of the Western literary tradition through rewriting the Homeric epics. This tradition perpetuates the binary opposition of superiority/inferiority which plays a seminal role in the construction of individual identity. By displacing the Saint Lucian characters and literature from their place in the margins to the center, Walcott decenters the Homeric epics, and Western literature. This thesis describes the design of a new plant for the production of printed circuit boards with a capacity of 40,000 square meters per year. Describes the basic principles of a new production, production logistics principles and technological design, procedure for application of the method SLP, placement of production areas and capacity calculation of employees and machines. It also describes the technological process of production of printed circuit boards with subtractive method and discusses the different steps of production with regard to the proposed production. The practical part deals with the actual realization of the project, a selection of production technology, machinery, design the layout of the building, capacity calculations, deployment tools, practical application of the method SLP, visualization of production in the Plavis VisTable software, waste management and economic evaluation of project costs.

The thesis is a Critical Edition of Derek Walcott’s Omeros, consisting of a Critical Introduction and Annotations. The Critical Introduction analyses: - Narrative - Settings - Metaphor and Paronomasia - Symbolism - Historiography - Intertexts - Dualism - Autobiography - Dialects - Prosody. The Annotations comment on more than 1000 references that may be obscure and on specifics of narrative, language and prosody. This study presents new conclusions about some aspects of Omeros: - It challenges the prevailing view that the work is written substantially in a variation of terza rima and shows that regular quatrains predominate. - It demonstrates ways in which the metrics follow the sense of the narrative and takes a more balanced position on the use of Caribbean as opposed to classical metrics than that put forward previously. - It identifies a paragraphic structure to the verse. - It proposes a new prosodic structure for the significant Chapter XXX/iii. - It extends Walcott’s recognised use of numerology into word counting the names of characters. - It develops the idea of Walcott’s dualism and his use of pairing and contradiction as a dialectical method. - It defines his wide use of paronomasia and shows that many of the puns have a metaphorical aspect beyond mere word-play. - It analyses some of Walcott’s symbolism. - It identifies intertextual links to his earlier works and to some thirty other writers, and suggests homage to Hemingway and possibly Heaney. - It provides the first complete analysis of Walcott’s rhyme types in Omeros. In its analysis of Omeros and in the Annotations it has included commentary from across the critical literature, to provide some sense of other views on Walcott’s writing, and has included as many as possible of Walcott’s own comments on Omeros and on the writer’s task, as a background to understanding the poem.

Este trabalho objetivou conhecer e analisar as relações sociais constituídas com bebês e entre eles num espaço público de educação infantil, com atenção às diferentes dimensões sociais que as determinam (geração, classe social, gênero e etnia). Realizou-se um estudo de orientação etnográfica, num grupo de 15 bebês, com idade entre 4 meses e 1 ano e 3 meses, numa creche pública municipal de Florianópolis, durante oito meses, na perspectiva de conhecê-los a partir de suas ações em contexto. Os dados foram obtidos por meio de filmagens, fotografias e registros escritos diários, sistemáticos e contínuos, o que resultou num inventário de ações e relações estabelecidas pelas e com as crianças pequeninas no espaço da creche. Antes e durante a pesquisa empírica foram realizadas outras ações: levantamento da produção cientifica sobre e com os bebês, que auxiliou na identificação do lugar social que eles vêm ocupando historicamente; consulta aos documentos legais e estatísticos da população infantil e matrícula de bebês em creches no Município de Florianópolis e ainda entrevistas com os profissionais da sala, com a direção da creche e com as famílias, de forma a constituir uma aproximação mais contextualizada da vida das crianças pesquisadas. Na análise dos dados, recorreu-se a uma interlocução disciplinar, envolvendo as contribuições das Ciências Sociais, especialmente da Sociologia da Infância e da Antropologia da Criança, da Filosofia da Linguagem do russo Mikhail Bakhtin e seu círculo, da Psicologia e da Pedagogia da Infância, numa perspectiva teórico-crítica que toma como base a constituição sócio-histórica das crianças e da infância, considerando a agência dos sujeitos nas relações sociais. As análises indicaram o estabelecimento de múltiplas relações dos bebês na creche, envolvendo os adultos, outros bebês, crianças maiores, atravessados pelas condições materiais e significações desse espaço. Indicaram também que as ações pedagógicas de cuidado, além de representarem encontros próximos entre adultos e crianças, proporcionam concomitantemente um tempo e espaço em que os demais bebês se relacionam entre si e com o ambiente, implicando a necessidade de uma preocupação para além da ação direta dos educadores, mas também sobre a sua ausência/distanciamento frente ao grupo. Os bebês, dentro de suas possibilidades de desenvolvimento, se relacionam utilizando diversas expressões comunicativas (choro, sorriso, movimento/gesto, sons, palavras...), que vão sendo ampliadas e significadas na relação constituída no coletivo. Ainda que consideremos a alteridade das crianças pequenas, suas relações são atravessadas pelo compartilhamento de regras e significações da convivência coletiva e institucional, que ora amplia, ora restringe, ora potencializa, ora nega as suas capacidades de agência na relação com os outros, no movimento dialógico que define as relações humanas.

The cement boards are commonly used as a filler fir or spruce chips-profit wood. The increasing demands for construction materials forcing technology to develop new types of composite materials using an alternative source of fillers. In this work in the context of theoretical knowledge about the specified fibers in composite systems are discussed properties of cement binder and filler for cement – bonded particleboards and alternative materials. The practical part describes the test methods designed recipes and then made boards of which were carved specimens intended for testing the properties of boards with alternative fillers.

In manufacture of cement-bonded particle boards are in present-days used exclusively wooden particles as filler. This thesis deals with a research of possible substitution of this material, especially of waste emerging by production of CBPB itself. At first is completed a survey of possible substitute fillers and czech and foreign literature, dealing with issues of modification of composition of cement-bonded particle boards. In practical part are tested some treatments of waste and its adding to recipe. Further are analysed the influences of substitution of cement by slag and substitution of wooden particles by recycled fibreglass. By laboratory work with CBPB is monitored the influence of amounts of added wather to fresh mixture and also to properties of finished elements.

O poeta e cineasta britânico Derek Jarman, morto em 1994, aos 52 anos, vitimado pela AIDS, é uma figura controversa e polêmica no âmbito da História da Arte. Sua poética faz alusão à liberdade sexual, ao ateísmo, à anarquia e à deformação sócio-política vivida na Europa entre as décadas de 1960 e 1990. Filmes como Sebastiane (1976) e Jubilee (1978) são amostras violentas desse ataque às instituições. Por outro lado, uma observação mais atenta a trabalhos como Blue (1993), Glitterbug (1994) e, sobretudo, Caravaggio (1985), apontam para um projeto estético muito mais elaborado e ambicioso. Observamos nessas obras específicas uma tentativa de releitura da História da Arte num corte sincrônico em relação a seu próprio tempo, e além disso uma busca pela identificação do papel do artista no contexto da História em si, de maneira que vida e obra unam-se simbioticamente num projeto de totalização da poética, da estética e da fenomenologia que envolvem ambas. Este trabalho pretende resgatar a memória do artista Derek Jarman, posto que seu trabalho se perdeu no hermetismo a ele atribuído pela crítica ao longo dos anos que se seguiram à sua morte e, a partir desse resgate, examinar elementos históricos e estéticos presentes em Blue, Glitterbug e Caravaggio, que evidenciam uma releitura da História da Arte à luz da contemporaneidade com vistas a discutir o papel e o lugar do artista no contexto da vida enquanto obra aberta e como ator na transcorrência sincrônica da História. Com isto, a presente tese faz uma excursão pelos anos formativos de Jarman, quando cursou Artes Visuais e quando tomou contato com artistas da vanguarda do pós-Segunda-Guerra, em seguida examina a ocorrência dos efeitos de tal contato em suas obras derradeiras Blue e Glitterbug, para, finalmente, dissecar sua obra Caravaggio em busca de comprovações para nossa hipótese de que Jarman ocupou-se de criticar seu tempo e sua cultura fundindo-se ao personagem do pintor italiano, criando uma vida-obra indissociável em que se verifica o estudo histórico e fenomênico da Arte e, por fim, reavalia os papéis do artista Caravaggio e seu próprio papel em relação ao fazer artístico, dentro de uma compreensão metafísica.
British poet and filmmaker Derek Jarman, who died in 1994 at 52, a victim of AIDS, is a controversial figure in the History of Art. His poetics allude to sexual freedom, to atheism, to anarchy and to the socio-political deformation experienced in Europe between the 1960s and 1990s. Films such as Sebatiane (1976) and Jubilee (1978) are violent samples of this attack on institutions. On the other hand, a closer observation to works such as Blue (1993), Glitterbug (1994) and, especially, Caravaggio (1985) points to a much more elaborate and ambitious aesthetic project. We observe in these specific works an attempt to reread the History of Art in a synchronic cut in relation to its own time, and, in addition, a search for the identification of the artist\'s role in the context of History itself, so that life and work unite symbiotically in a project of totaling poetics, aesthetics and phenomenology that involve both. This work intends to rescue the memory of the artist Derek Jarman, since his work was lost in the hermeticism attributed to him by the critics throughout the years that followed his death and, from this rescue, to examine historical and aesthetic elements present in Blue, Glitterbug and Caravaggio, which show a re-reading of the History of Art in the light of contemporaneity with a view to discussing the role and place of the artist in the context of life as a work in progress and as an actor in the synchronous transcurrency of History. With this, the present thesis makes an excursion in the formative years of Jarman, when he studied Visual Arts and when he made contact with artists of the vanguard of the post-Second World War. Next, it examines the occurrence of the effects of such contact in its works Blue and Glitterbug, to finally dissect his work Caravaggio in search of evidence for our hypothesis that Jarman was concerned with criticizing his time and his culture by merging with the character of the Italian painter, creating an inseparable life-work in the historical and phenomenal study of Art and, finally, re-evaluates the roles of the artist Caravaggio and his own role in relation to artistic making, within a metaphysical understanding.

Cette étude comparative des œuvres d’Edouard Glissant et de Derek Walcott examine le devenir de la littérature antillaise ainsi que l’évolution des littératures dites postcoloniales.A partir des notions critiques d’esthétique, de politique, de culture et de stratégie discursive, nous avons examiné les œuvres de Glissant et celles de Walcott selon une perspective historique. En effet, la question de la place de l’Histoire étroitement liée à l’expérience personnelle des auteurs est au cœur des textes. Ils mettent en avant l’odyssée d’une Histoire antillaise marginale et fantasmée qui cherche à se frayer un chemin et concurrencer une Histoire traditionnelle.De cette tension, se dégage un jeu de dualité où continuités et ruptures, résistance et appropriation du discours de l’Occident constituent au fil de l’étude un trait distinctif de l’approche des textes. Mais ce qui en montre l’intérêt et l’originalité, c’est leur capacité à s’ériger comme un exposé représentatif du monde contemporain. La question de l’Histoire va au-delà du parcours colonial du monde occidental et le discours qui s’en rattache est loin d’une dénonciation ou l’expression d’une culpabilité et encore moins celle des bienfaits de la colonisation. Les auteurs appellent en revanche à l’expression d’une vision fragmentée de l’Histoire dont l’approche se situe dans la reconnaissance de la diversité des représentations historiques, littéraires et culturelles. Qu’il s’agisse d’épopées, de récits de vie, de chroniques historiques ou politiques, de simples anecdotes ou de réflexions philosophiques qui ponctuent le vaste champ de leur production, Walcott et Glissant apportent un souffle nouveau à la pensée postcoloniale et prolongent son avenir. This comparative study of the works of Edouard Glissant and Derek Walcott examines the development of postcolonial literatures especially west indies literature.Based on the critical notions of aesthetic, political, cultural and discursive strategy, we assessed the works of authors through a historical perspective. Indeed, the question of the place of history and personal experience is at the heart of the texts. The authors highlight the fantasised odyssey of a marginal Caribbean History which is trying to make its way and to be in competition with a traditional History.From this tension, emerges a set of duality where continuities and ruptures, resistance and appropriation of the discourse of the West are honoured hallmark of this works. However, what shows interest and originality, is their ability to establish themselves as a functional presentation of the contemporary world. The question of history goes beyond the colonial path of the Western world, hence the discourse that is coming from it isn’t relegated to complaint or quest of guilt and even less of the benefits of colonization. On the contrary, the authors call the expression of a fragmented view of History. Whether epics of life story, historical or political columns, simple stories or philosophical reflections that punctuate the vast field of production, Walcott and Glissant give new impetus to the postcolonial thinking and extend its future. Together, they communicate, interact and sometimes clash to reveal the conceptual and methodological processes that allow us to understand literature in antoher way, humanities and social sciences

This master´s thesis deals with an examination of different solution types a for the chemical passivation of a silicon surface. Various solutions are tested on silicon wafers for their consequent comparison. The main purpose of this work is to find optimal solution, which suits the requirements of a time stability and start-up velocity of passivation, reproducibility of the measurements and a possibility of a perfect cleaning of a passivating solution remainig from a silicon surface, so that the parameters of a measured silicon wafer will not worsen and there will not be any contamination of the other wafers series in the production after a repetitive return of the measured wafer into the production process. The cleaning process itself is also a subject of a development.

This thesis explores the function of the theatre in Derek Walcott's literary achievements. Focusing on the semiotic theories that characterize the study of drama as a literary text and as a staged text, the initial approach aims at creating a relationship between semiotics and postcolonial theories. In particular Pavis's concept of intercultural semiotics and Peter Brook's innovative visions about the regenerative function of the space of the theatre represent a useful theoretical basis to consider the specificity of postcolonial theatre as an innovative space, where new cultural meanings emerge. Derek Walcott's dramatic production is studied according to this approach, in order to be defined as a new hybrid, syncretic and multicultural space. After considering the development of drama from a postcolonial and Caribbean perspective, this study begins with an insight into Walcott's views on theatre, taking into consideration his linguistic depth, linked to the European tradition, but also his strong concern with the Caribbean public's cultural needs. The double tension characterizing Walcott's cultural identity as well as his art represents an essential element to analyse his dramatic texts. With an ambivalent approach, which takes into consideration language and performance, this thesis offers an insight into Walcott's plays to detect their postcolonial and multicultural elements. The analysis of the different texts are divided into two chapters (third and fourth). The third chapters - mainly focused on postcolonial themes - explores issues such as language, identity and space, whereas the fourth chapter centers on multiculturalism in text and performance. Dealing with interracial interactions, issues like re-writing classical texts and the manipulation of personal and collective memory as a way to re- establish new historical perspectives, the last part of the thesis aims at demonstrating the idea that Walcott has created a new space in the theatre made by the harmonic fusion of different and opposed cultural elements, which are visible in the literary as well as in the staged text. The textual perspective of Walcott's drama fits into Pavis's definition of intercultural semiotics, as the faithful representation of a multicultural creole society: that of the West Indies.

Com essa proposta, estamos cooperando com a lei no. 10.639/03 para a afirmaÃÃo do processo de consciÃncia negra por meio da busca de um processo identitÃrio que permeia os escritos do autor, analisando o entre-lugar do discurso do poeta e suas possÃveis influÃncias na produÃÃo de identidade e cultura no Brasil. Parte-se do pressuposto da pertinÃncia de se fazer uma reflexÃo sobre identidade e cultura como atos polÃticos, ao divulgar e expor a riqueza cultural afro ou afrodescendente sob uma nova Ãtica, recuperando o escravizado como sujeito de uma histÃria social, mostrando a infÃmia do escravismo e reforÃando as aÃÃes afirmativas no contexto brasileiro. The main purpose of this work is to analyze the thematic identity and culture of African basis through the work OMEROS written by the afro Caribbean writer and Literature Nobel Prize winner (1992), Derek Walcott. His work allows the focus to issues like the discussion of concepts such as identity and culture as political acts and artifacts of a good education, the affirmation of the process of black consciousness and the recovery of the enslaved one as the subject of a social history through post-colonial literature. The knowledge and study of this literature can contribute a great deal to the intellectual formation of educators as well as it may open paths to areas of philosophy of Brazilian education through the deepening in the culture of African basis during the Diaspora serving as a contribution to cultural diversity.

Derek Walcott est né en 1930 à Sainte Lucie, petite île perdue dans l’archipel des Caraïbes. Son œuvre poétique et théâtrale est à la conjonction de deux influences majeures : l’une est héritée du colonialisme britannique, la seconde lui vient de son ascendance africaine.J’ai essayé, dans mon travail, de toujours garder en mémoire cette ambivalence, voire cet écartèlement, que Walcott revendique puisqu’il se définit comme le divided child. L’œuvre de Walcott est multiple. Néanmoins, c’est son rapport au Temps, à l’Histoire et à la création picturale qui m’ont paru essentiels. Dans le premier chapitre de mon étude, j’ai réservé une large part au long poème de Walcott, Another Life, où Walcott se livre à une véritable reconstruction autobiographique. C’est le déchirement du poète qui constitue le nœud central de Another Life : balancement entre hier et aujourd’hui, le dedans et le dehors, l’art et la vie, sur cette terre meurtrie par l’esclavage. Dans la seconde partie, j’ai tenté d’analyser la perception walcottienne de l’Histoire, à travers deux poèmes essentiels, The Schooner Flight et Omeros. Sur le mode de l’épopée, Walcott y raconte la vie des habitants de Sainte Lucie, leurs odyssées intérieures, et leur quête d’Histoire. Il en résulte une vision protéiforme de l’Histoire, proche de celle de Walter Benjamin et en totale opposition avec celle des historiens classiques. La dernière partie est consacrée à l’analyse des liens entre la poésie de Walcott et l’art pictural. L’influence est évidente dans Another Life, Midsummer et Tiepolos’s Hound. J’ai choisi d’étudier Tiepolo’s Hound, non seulement parce que cet hommage à Pissaro, Veronèse et Tiepolo ressemble à une grande fresque, mais aussi pour mettre en exergue la filiation que s’invente Walcott avec le peintre impressionniste
Derek Walcott was born in 1930 in Saint Lucia, a small island lost in the Caribbean archipelago. His poetry has been deeply influenced by two main strains : one is marked by British colonialism, the other is rooted in his African ascendancy.I have tried to keep in mind this duality, which Walcott is still claiming for since he defines himself as a “divided child”. Walcott’s works are complex and multi-faced. However, I choose to study more particularly his relations to time, history and artistic creation. I have reserved a large part of the first chapter to the analyse of Another Life, which can be compared to the experiment of an autobiographical reconstruction, on Walcott’s behalf. The narrator’s splitting is at he core of the poem. Another Life’s hero is constantly balanced between present and past, home life and outdoor life, art and reality. In the second part of this thesis, I have tried to scrutinize Walcott’s perception of History, through two main poems, The Schooner Flight and Omeros. Walcott adopts the epic pattern to describe every day life in Saint Lucia, giving a new birth to homeric myths. Because of the closeness between past and present, we are given another vision of History, quite similar to Walter Benjamin’s theories, and far from classical issues.The last part is focused on the ties which link Walcott’s poetry to the art of painting. These connections are obvious in such poems as Another Life, Midsummer or Tiepolo’s Hound. I choose to examine Tiepolo’s Hound for two main reasons: on the one hand, the poem could be compared to a large frescoe; on the other hand, it enlightens Walcott’s personnality, because of the fictional parallel introduced beween the poet and the painter

This thesis analyses three of Derek Walcott's plays in the light of Wilson Harris's ideas of 'infinite rehearsal' and 'unfinished genesis.' The purpose of this thesis is to explore Walcott's definition of the artist and his relation to society in the context of decolonisation. Throughout the thesis the struggle against nihilism appears as a constant underlying goal that both writers relate to the essence of the Caribbean, as a symbol of survival and regenesis. The first part of the thesis offers a deep analysis of Harrisian concepts of literature and its connection to reality, and an exploration of the links between Harris's ideas and the theatrical genre in the context of Walcott's early theatrical endeavours. The second part of the thesis presents a reading of Ti-Jean and His Brothers, Dream on Monkey Mountain, and Pantomime, that highlights the development of Walcott's notions of the artist in relation to his society and to the world. The unresolved conflicts of the pre-1970 period give way to a coherent and grounded set of principles that offer an example of one Caribbean artist's attempt at restoring the pieces of his fragmented identity. Reading Derek Walcott's plays in a Harrisian context throws new light into his theatrical production, and brings to the surface elements that had remained hidden and overlooked. The use of Wilson Harris as a theoretical background responds to two main aspects of these writers' work. On the one hand, the scope of Wilson Harris's philosophical world draws links with manifold cultures and literary traditions. More importantly, Wilson Harris proposes a fluid environment in which Walcott's divided self can find a suitable malleable ground.

This work aims to analyze the body potential of the contemporary person in the daily struggle for the conquest of individuality and collective recognition. So, the research is based on the American reality show America's Next Top Model, aiming to understand better, from the experience between the candidates, how tactical and strategic relations are taken between them and the outside world, as well as the body reacts the expectations and consequences originated by these 'everyday encounters' with reality and the Other, turning it into a 'weapon' and in a sociocultural product. Based on this logic, the work aims to analyze how the representations of the female body are designed - imagery and discursively - in the reality show and how the representations when are suited to the exigencies global market of information and consumer goods, reflect social and cultural questions linked to the identity, gender and sexuality in the contemporaneity.

Para tanto, a pesquisa toma como objeto o reality show estadunidense America’s Next Top Model a fim de tentar compreender melhor, a partir das experiências das candidatas do programa, como se estabelecem as relações táticas e estratégicas entre o sujeito e o mundo e de que forma as expectativas e conseqüências geradas por esses “embates cotidianos” com a realidade e com o Outro chegam ao corpo, transformando-o numa “arma” e num produto sociocultural. Partindo dessa lógica, o trabalho pretende analisar como são construídas – imagética e discursivamente - as representações do corpo feminino no reality e como essas representações, ao se adequarem às exigências do mercado global da informação e dos bens de consumo, refletem questões sociais e culturais ligadas à identidade, ao gênero e à sexualidade na contemporaneidade.

The main purpose of this work is to analyze the thematic identity and culture of African basis through the work OMEROS written by the afro Caribbean writer and Literature Nobel Prize winner (1992), Derek Walcott. His work allows the focus to issues like the discussion of concepts such as identity and culture as political acts and artifacts of a good education, the affirmation of the process of black consciousness and the recovery of the enslaved one as the subject of a social history through post-colonial literature. The knowledge and study of this literature can contribute a great deal to the intellectual formation of educators as well as it may open paths to areas of philosophy of Brazilian education through the deepening in the culture of African basis during the Diaspora serving as a contribution to cultural diversity.
Este trabalho tem como objetivo investigar e analisar a questão da identidade e cultura de matriz africana por meio da obra do autor afro-caribenho e Prêmio Nobel de Literatura em 1992, Derek Walcott, cuja obra ainda não encontra no Brasil um estudo e divulgação adequados. Com essa proposta, estamos cooperando com a lei no. 10.639/03 para a afirmação do processo de consciência negra por meio da busca de um processo identitário que permeia os escritos do autor, analisando o entre-lugar do discurso do poeta e suas possíveis influências na produção de identidade e cultura no Brasil. Parte-se do pressuposto da pertinência de se fazer uma reflexão sobre identidade e cultura como atos políticos, ao divulgar e expor a riqueza cultural afro ou afrodescendente sob uma nova ótica, recuperando o escravizado como sujeito de uma história social, mostrando a infâmia do escravismo e reforçando as ações afirmativas no contexto brasileiro. O conhecimento e o estudo dessa literatura identitária pode contribuir tanto para a formação de educadores como abrir caminhos para as áreas de filosofia da educação brasileira pelo aprofundamento na cultura de base africana na diáspora, servindo de aporte às diversidades culturais.

The content of this diploma thesis is to explore the possibility of utilization of wastes generated in the production of cement-bonded particleboards in terms of their application as secondary raw materials back into the production. At first an attention was focused on a fine-grained waste containing wood particles with cement matrix produced during the final adjustment of boards. Further, fly ash generated from the combustion of wood chips in the biomass boiler is assessed. In the theoretical part the different types of waste generated in the production of cement-bonded particleboards are characterized, including their methods of creation, production, use or disposal of the current and other proposals for utilization in the future. The research papers dealing with applications of various wastes in the production of cement composites with organic fibers were also studied. In the experimental part of the thesis the characteristics of each type of waste generated in the production of cement-bonded particleboards are evaluated using laboratory analyses and their pretreatment methods for another use are designed. Subsequently performed the laboratory verification capabilities of secondary raw materials from wastes in cement-bonded particleboards identifying and evaluating basic physico–mechanical characteristics of boards with modified composition.

Denne masteroppgåva handlar om bruk av numerisk modellering («Computational Fluid Dynamics», CFD) i høve til sandfang 3 ved Tonstad kraftverk. Oppgåva tek utgangspunkt i geometri og feltmålingar frå sandfanget. For å undersøke kva som kan vere årsaken til at sedimenttransport har skada tilhøyrande turbin, har sandfanget blitt simulert med CFD-programmet STAR-CCM+.Det vert gitt ei innføring i teori om sedimenttransport og hydraulikk. Teori om CFD vert gitt saman med framgangsmåte for oppsett av modellane. Resultata vart vurdert opp mot feltmålingar frå stasjonær vassføring med «Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler» (ADCP), og for fylling av sandfanget i frå trykkmålingar.Dei simulerte resultata stemmer overeins med feltmålingar. Det vert vist at «Reynolds-Averaged Navier?Stokes» (RANS) gjev gode resultat for stasjonær vassføring, men ikkje for svært turbulente områder. Der turbulensen er stor, stemmer simuleringar med «Detached Eddy Simulation» (DES) betre.Ikkje-stasjonær simulering av fylling av sandfanget samstemmer med målingane. Det gjev best resultat om ein legg inn geometrien til heile trykksjakta. Under fylling ser det ut til at det oppstår eit vasstandssprang i sandfanget. Den maksimale farten på vatnet, og skjærspenninga langs botn av sandfanget, gjev eit potensiale for sedimenttransport av partiklar opp mot om lag 41mm. Dette er i rett storleik i høve til skadeomfanget på turbinen.Når luftesjakta er full av vatn, er det framleis att luftlommer oppunder taket i sandfanget. Luftlommene tilsvarar 442m3 luft. Under fylling aukar farten til vatnet lokalt i vassflata.Med dette som grunnlag vert det vist at CFD er eigna som verkty for å dimensjoneresandfang.

This thesis examines place in the poetry of Derek Walcott. Through the close reading of a number of key topoi in Walcott's poetry, this thesis investigates the meanings that Walcott associates with different places. Threaded through these investigations, and forming the main argument, this thesis asserts that Walcott privileges place over space. Walcott rejects 'space' as an invention and abstract 'design' associated with colonial dominion and with neocolonial practices. For Walcott, space, as an abstraction, disavows local experience. Because of this, privileging space knowingly or unknowingly attempts to rid marginalised or oppressed people of their agency. In his poetry, Walcott consistently emphasises embodied ways of knowing, and draws upon human experience as an appropriate, and often counterhegemonic, form of knowledge. Walcott has consistently shown that one person's space is in fact another person's place, and suggests that, because of this, space is imagined over place. Drawing on the works of Edward Casey and phenomenology, this thesis argues that the idea that place precedes space goes against many academic discourses that assume the contrary. Walcott consistently draws his reader's attention to plant and animal life in association with place, and in doing so counteracts anthropocentric definitions of place. Reading Derek Walcott's poetry with an emphasis on place and experiential or a posteriori knowledge creates room for new critical readings of Walcott's work. Specifically, emphasis on place helps to contextualise Walcott's emphasis on the Caribbean as 'nothing' and of the Caribbean people's Adamic relationship with the landscape. This thesis argues that Walcott's notion of place is inherently political: most obviously, the poet's ideas concerning place form part of his arsenal in the very real fight against the multinational hotel/tourist industry's incursion on, and appropriation of, Caribbean sites. This thesis shows that Walcott's project of investing uninhabited landscapes with a sense of place, and blurring the delineations between privileged sites such as churches and "open space/' Walcott challenges the forces that operate within the Caribbean as a consumable, commodified space.

The present work considers the relation between the poet José Paulo Paes and the poetic tradition. Its purpose is examining how the poet retakes and reinvents different poetic traditions. Among the adopted traditions by the poet, is the Greek one with its forms: epigram, epitaph and epitalamium. José Paulo Paes recovers these fixed forms but, by means of humor and irony, he adds new hues to them. Moreover, he remakes ancient proverbs in a parodic process of getting back of the original model and unconstruction of it. The theory that holds this work is that one of Eliot, in “Tradition and the individual talent”, that says the new poet finds his best and most original moments when he talks to the tradition. So we analyze too the relation among Paes and some of his forerunners, as Drummond, Bandeira, Augusto de Campos and the unknowed baiano modernist Sosígenes Costa. Although the poet initialy introduces himself as learner, by insisting in a refined irony, he is capable to reach his personal diction, expressing thus an own voice.
O presente trabalho considera a relação do poeta José Paulo Paes com a tradição poética. Seu propósito é examinar o modo como o poeta retoma e reinventa diferentes tradições poéticas. Entre as tradições adotadas pelo poeta, está a grega com suas fórmulas: o epigrama, o epitáfio e o epitalâmio. José Paulo Paes recupera essas formas fixas, mas, por meio do humor e da ironia, acrescenta novos matizes a elas. Além disso, reelabora antigos provérbios, num processo paródico de retomada e desconstrução do modelo original. A teoria que fundamenta este trabalho é a de Eliot em “A tradição e o talento individual”, que afirma que o poeta novo encontra seus momentos melhores e mais originais quando fala com a tradição. Assim, analisamos também a relação de Paes com alguns dos seus precursores, como Drummond, Bandeira, Augusto de Campos e o desconhecido modernista baiano Sosígenes Costa. Embora o poeta se apresente inicialmente como aprendiz, ao insistir numa ironia refinada, consegue alcançar sua dicção pessoal, exprimindo, assim, uma voz própria.

Those who attend and endure the teaching of reading will know that the beginning of reading is a very ancient problem. Nowadays several theories of teaching the reading and the practising, differning one by one. There are differences between the theoric proposal and the practice, of those who got the experience of a classroom because the theorist proposal and the teacher accomplish the practice. Therefore the reality of this essay introduces an other version-proposal. We pretend DELES drawing, reading and writing throughout methodological proposal of teaching of reading and advance a step in the solution of the methodological problems of the teaching reading and writing. We start with drawings, pictorials, rescences of syntactic and syntactic phrasing, contexts to introduce the pupil in the act of learning and the full possession of letterpress. This methodology is involved in drawing, writing and reading in a progressive form, passing from the drawing to the conventional writing. In order to methodological conclusion the drawing disappears in the writing as soon as the boy reads without the help of drawing that means that he replaces the drawing with the writing and reading and knows how to write components. The basic theories developed by Decroly, Vygotsky, Piaget, Freinet, Ricoeur amongst other linguists.The investigated problem was: - How teachers perceive the development and the results of application the drawing, the reading, and the writing of DELES: a methodological proposal of alphabetization? This request was characterized by the borage of “the study of the occurrence”, supported by the constructive paradigm and the date were colleted by the teachers, to co-ordination, the parents and the boys of two Marist schools and a lay school who adopted the methodology this period of investigation and the results were analyzed through their contents (ENGERS, 1987). From the analyzes emerged the categories methodology of alphabetization, interpersonal relations, the play and the learning, the results revealed a very great satisfaction of the adults about the methodology, were characterizing the easy learning of reading and writing by the boys, concerning them in a joyful manner and a relationship with the family, the teachers and the boys. The teachers emphasized the special manner of the good quality of reading produced by the method. Some mothers strengthened the idea that they revised their reading and writing and were beginning their own alphabetization, working near her children. Without doubt we tested an advance of children of five and six years learning how to read and how to write
Para quem acompanha e vivencia a história da alfabetização dá-se conta que esta se constitui numa problemática muito antiga. Na atualidade existem diversas teorias de alfabetizar, diferenciadas entre si. Há diferença entre a proposta teórica e a prática, daquele que vivencia o cotidiano da sala de aula, pois em geral, os teóricos propõem e o professor realiza a prática. Diante de tal realidade nesta dissertação se apresenta outra versão-resposta entre teorias e práticas. Pretende-se que Desenhando, lendo e escrevendo - DELES: uma proposta metodológica de alfabetizar venha ser um passo adiante na solução das problemáticas das metodologias do ensino da leitura e da escrita. Nesta, parte-se de desenhos, pictografias, o recurso a contextos sintáticos e frasais para introduzir o aluno na aprendizagem e à plena posse do letramento. Em si, a metodologia envolve o desenho, a escrita e a leitura numa cuidadosa e progressiva forma de passar do desenho para a escrita convencional. Para fins metodológicos o desenho deixa de aparecer no corpo da escrita à medida que o aluno sabe ler sem a necessidade do auxílio deste, ou seja, o saber desenhar do aluno, aos poucos, como prática, é substituído pelo seu saber ler e escrever efetivos. As teorias básicas desenvolvidas foram de Decroly, Vygotsky, Piaget, Freinet, Ricoeur, entre outros, incluídos lingüistas.O problema investigado foi: - Como os professores percebem o desenvolvimento e os resultados de aplicação do Desenhando, lendo e escrevendo – DELES: uma proposta metodológica de alfabetizar? A pesquisa caracterizou-se por uma abordagem de “estudo de caso”, amparado no paradigma construtivista e os dados foram coletados junto aos professores, coordenadores, pais e alunos de duas escolas maristas e uma leiga, que aplicaram o método neste período da investigação e os dados foram trabalhados por meio de análise de conteúdo (ENGERS,1987). Emergiram da análise dos achados as categorias metodologia de alfabetização, relações interpessoais e o lúdico e a aprendizagem. Os resultados revelaram uma enorme satisfação dos adultos com a metodologia, que caracterizaram como sendo facilitadora da apropriação da leitura e da escrita pelos alunos, envolvendo-os de uma forma prazerosa e relacionando a família, professores e alunos. As professoras destacam de modo especial a boa qualidade leitora que o método gera. Algumas mães reforçaram a idéia de que elas revisam sua leitura e escrita ou começaram a alfabetizar-se por trabalharem com seus filhos. Sem dúvida constatou-se um avanço das crianças de 5 a 6 anos na aprendizagem da leitura e da escrita.

Il presente lavoro si propone di analizzare le relazioni tra Memoria, Música e Teatro nella formazione dell'attore. L'ipotesi che viene presentata è che la tradizione orale - come un punto di riferimento culturale - permette un'esperienza corporeo-musicale che deve essere considerata quando si pensa all'attore in fieri. Così, la storia personale e le esperienze individuali diventano essenziali per un processo di formazione artistica che mette in relazione música e teatro a nord. E' partendo dal cosciente appropriarsi degli affetti e del loro collegamento con elementi teorici e tecnici che vogliamo pensare alla formazione di un attore per un "teatro musicale".
O presente trabalho propõe analisar relações entre Memória, Música e Teatro na formação do ator. O pressuposto que se apresenta é o de que a oralidade como marco cultural proporciona uma experiência corpóreo-musical que deve ser considerada ao se pensar o ator em formação. Desta forma, a história pessoal e as experiências individuais tornam-se material fundamental para um processo de formação artística que tem a interinfluência entre música e teatro como norte. É a partir da consciente apropriação de seus afetos musicais e da articulação entre eles e elementos técnicos e teóricos, que vamos pensar aqui a formação do ator para um teatro musical.

The diploma thesis deals with possibility of utilization raw materials from alternative sources for production of cement-bonded particleboards. In theoretical part the possibilities of modifying composition of cement-bonded slabs with emphasis on their matrix are discussed in detail. On basis of the findings and their evaluation, waste from the formatting of cement-bonded particleboards, micronized limestone, heat sink and high temperature fly ash were selected to the composition modification. The mentioned raw materials were analyzed and subsequently tested as substitutes for the matrix of cement-bonded particleboards in the experimental part. The properties of the proposed materials were tested even in the longer term, including the microstructure.

This thesis deals with the use of by–products from the production of cement–bonded particle boards as an alternative raw material for the stabilization of the subsoil or into a ground solid. The theoretical part briefly describes the current status of waste management. A set of alterantive raw materials used to hydraulically cemented mixtures is listed here as well as the recherche of the foreign research is elaborated from this area. The experimental part of the thesis firstly deals with the choice of raw materials and basic recipes. In the advanced stage the laboratory analyses are carried out on the modified formulas. Based on the results of these analyses the posibility of using by–products from the production of cement–bonded boards for the stabilization of the subsoil is evaluated here.
