Chassagne, Jean. "Mieux comprendre, étudier et prendre en charge la consommation de cannabis : apports méthodologiques et facteurs de risques." Electronic Thesis or Diss., Toulouse 2, 2023. https://dante.univ-tlse2.fr/s/fr/item/35793.
Cannabis is the most commonly used psychoactive substance among students in Europe and the United States. While associated with various psychopathological disorders, the nature and intensity of these interactions remain debated. While many countries are leaning towards its legalization (for either medical or recreational purposes), it's crucial to have the proper tools and knowledge to understand its psychological effects. However, current literature often focuses narrowly on consumption frequency or cannabis use disorders (CUD), as defined by its diagnostic criteria, underscoring the need for broader exploration. Therefore, we studied a wider range of variables to better understand the relationship between cannabis use and psychopathologies. Emphasis was also placed on methodology, considering ways to obtain the most reliable data. Each of our three studies aimed to address a question or fill a gap identified in our preliminary research. To identify new relevant variables, the first study examined how consumption context, primarily smoking mostly alone, affects the prevalence of CUD and depressive symptoms. The second looked into the influence of consumption forms, methods and timings of use on the prevalence of CUD, depressive, and anxiety symptoms. Concerning the method, the third study investigated the link between self-deception biases (unconscious response distortion to protect self-esteem) and other-deception biases (deliberate response distortion to present oneself favorably) in relation to self-reported cannabis consumption. Through this work, we seek to shed light on the intricate relationship between cannabis use and various psychopathologies, highlighting often overlooked nuances and biases. Our goal is to provide more exhaustive and reliable methodological perspectives, in order to contribute to the improvement and specification of prevention and intervention programs

The work presented in this thesis is a part of the Technology Enhanced Learning domain. It focuses on the proposal of processes, methods and tools that assist teachers and trainers in the reuse and the capitalization of educational scenarios. The objective of the proposed approach named CAPtuRe is to model, evaluate and exploit the contextual information related to a scenario based on its effective observations with the aim to enhance reuse. The main concerns are: (1) the expression and the analysis of the usage context, (2) the evaluation of the relevance of the scenario in a specific context, (3) the indexing of the contexts based on criteria of success and effectiveness of the scenario to define its reuse scope and (4) the proactive suggestion of reuse. We started by specifying a global framework for the engineering and the reuse of educational scenarios. In this context, we have defined a process specifying the scenario lifecycle introducing the contextual dimension and its utilization in a "design by reuse" environment. In order to operationalize this process, we define a generic approach to model the contextual information of a scenario that is enriched by the indicators, an indexing method and an algorithm calculating contextual similarities for the selection and the recommendation of appropriated scenarios to a target learning situation. These contributions are implemented as a software platform and applied to hybrid scenarios usage cases

Abstract : In many medical fields, nanocarrier-based targeted drug-delivery (TDD) is likely to remove many technical obstacles regarding treatment. The lack of an approach based on variables such as potential impacts, acceptance, and acceptability could however lead to a mismatch between TDD applications being developed and users’ needs and values; this mismatch could ultimately hold back their deployment. Based on an interdisciplinary approach for the analysis of impact and acceptability of emerging technologies, three main concepts of a new theoretical framework—perceived impacts, acceptance, and acceptability—have been operationalized. This operationalisation has been studied in the light of several variables, namely the nature of the nanocarrier, the clinical context of use, and the disciplinary and social culture of the respondents. An exploration of the impacts perceived, mobilized and weighted, based on a set of ethical, economic, environmental, legal and social (E[superscript 3]LS) issues allowed to establish a first portrait of the acceptability of this application. A descriptive-exploratory approach based on a mixed-methods design with sequential data triangulation was used. The data were collected in two phases, first through an online questionnaire (n = 214), and then through semi-structured individual interviews (n = 22). The final sample was composed of French and French-Canadian researchers involved in themes related to emerging technologies, all from natural sciences and engineering or from humanities and social sciences. The operationalisation of the theoretical framework highlighted the importance of distinguishing the device and the uses when formulating the acceptability judgment, revealing also the influence of the context of use on the acceptability of TDD applications. Disciplinary and social variations related to acceptability judgments were also raised, highlighting possible cultural sensitivities regarding elements mobilized in those acceptability judgments. These distinctions on how are apprehended TDD applications invite to go beyond traditional approaches of technology acceptance and to converge toward approaches of acceptability; those approaches also need to integrate how impacts on E[superscript 3]LS issues are perceived and weighted. The results of both phases of the study also showed that the operationalization of the theoretical framework was adequate to achieve that end. Ultimately, in order to figure and to understand the broad spectrum of possible impacts that may be perceived and valued in the acceptability judgment of stakeholders affected by the development of new nanomedical applications as TDD, the development process of those applications could benefit from integrating this approach.

Within the current context, the transformation of industries through new paradigms of performance such as The Factory of the Future (FoF), Industry 4.0 (I 4.0) or even The Smart Factory (SF) is at the heart of the industrials’ current concerns. The present work address the problem of the transition from a specific situation (AS-IS) to a target situation alike FoF (TO-BE) considering the desired situation AS-WISHED and the resources constraints. In this line of action, the main contribution concerns an approach based on a co-evolution model enabling to guide manufacturing industries to perform such a transition. Based on the work of Tolio et al. (2010), we propose an enhanced co-evolution model that integrates the strategic level of decisions, the information system role (IS) and the role of the human workforce. From the theoretical perspective, this new model consists in 3 domains: Product design/ Manufacturing/ IS which are structured into two levels of analysis: external (strategic) and internal (operational). The resulting structure of 6 sub-domains is in turn composed of 3 components covering the decisions related to each sub-domain and level of analysis. From the management perspective, the management of co-evolution relies on the modelling of their components. Hence, we exploit the modelling language constructs of the ISO 19440 (2007) standard for the internal components. Then, we characterize the existing co-evolution links between the different sub-domains of the proposed co-evolution model. At last, a 3 phase approach enabling to exploit the enhanced co-evolution model is proposed. It considers the feasibility constraints and the co-evolution constraints linked to the management of the links or impacts that came into play in the co-evolution. As such, it enables to work out progressively a feasible TO-BE model

This research explores exhibitions of video games featured in museums, in which commercial gaming products can be found. The study focuses on the changes of signification and uses that affect videogames during their shift from family living room to exhibition spaces, and investigates the professional spaces where the exhibition is designed. It relies on a field work during one of these exhibitions, completed by a study of public policy and the uses of video games in French museums. The study employs an interdisciplinary approach to explore the social, symbolic and material aspects of the object. This research is rooted in Cultural Studies and the study of the cultural aspects of social change. It also evokes various domains such as Communication, Sociology and Gender Studies. This research explores the articulation between three moments constructing video game as a museum object. First, the recognition of video game as a cultural good by public policies. Second, the design of a video game exhibition in a science center, that implies the modification of video games to create interactive exhibits. Third, the exhibition visited by people and the significance they grasp. Far from being isolated, these three moments are parts of a context where these different practices enrich one another

Within the context of its fourth revolution, the industrial world is undergoing a strong digitalization in all sectors. This research work is integrated in a context of transition towards the industry of the future, specifically in the mechanical machining industries. These studies answer the problematic of industrial data and knowledge integration, to sustain the functioning of decision-support systems. The proposed approach is used to diagnose the failure of connected machining machines. This thesis proposes, in a first step, a conceptual framework for the structuring of heterogeneous knowledge and data bases, necessary to implement the DSS. Through a first traceability function, the system capitalizes the description of the characteristics of all particular events and malicious phenomena that may appear during machining. The diagnostic function allows to understand the causes of these failures and to propose improvement solutions, through the reuse of knowledge stored in the ontology and a rule-based reasoning. The proposed knowledge-based system is implemented in a global Decision Support Framework, developed as part of the ANR collaborative project called Smart Emma. A practical application has been made on two real databases from two different industrials
Buteau, Calherbe. "Les déterminants de l’usage du français en milieu de travail au Québec." Thèse, 2012. http://hdl.handle.net/1866/8620.
Most researches on the use of French in the workplace tend to adopt a methodological perspective that aims to identify the determinant factors of the use of French in the workplace. In this paper, we intend to change this perspective by attempting instead, to apprehend the main contexts in which people relate to declare French as their language of work. We make the assumption that declaring French as the main language of work result of both contextual and distinct linguistic practices. To meet this research objective, we draw data from a survey conducted in 2007 by the Office of the French Language in Quebec. Based on this survey, we have selected five contexts to which people relate to when using the French language in the workplace: workshop, reading of documents produced by the company, communication with the outside world, communication with immediate supervisors, and the use of technology of information. Thus, we have limited ourselves to the study of workers that have to communicate with supervisors, read documents produced by their company, participate regularly in meeting, use software, and finally communicate with other people from the outside. Our analysis reveals that, beyond individual characteristics and the general context of the workplace, these contextual uses of language in the workplace predict the best statement of the language of workers. When it comes to declare the main language of work, workers seem mainly to refer to the language they use in meetings, in the language of reading documents produced by the company in communications with immediate superiors and to use language versions of software and communications with customers and suppliers outside of Quebec.
