The method of estimation of interference noise that arises in transmission systems with orthogonal harmonic signals due to linear distortions of signals in the telecommunication channel is proposed. The method can be used both for simulation of telecommunication systems, and for the construction of measuring devices with the function of estimation of interference noise based on the results of measuring the characteristics of the telecommunication channel.The results of estimation of interference noise for ADSL2 + subscriber access transmission system are presented.

Modern high-speed telecommunication networks with time division multiplexing (TDM) based on nx64kBit/s channel switching cannot function without a high-quality network synchronization system, which is designed to ensure the reliability and stability of the formation, switching and processing of information in digital channels. The clock synchronization system is based on the transmission of the reference frequency from the primary clock to all digital equipment of the telecommunication network through the high-speed streams of transmission systems. However, in the case of distributed communication networks, the integrity of the clock synchronization system is violated, and there is a need to develop special technical solutions to ensure the provision of frequencies for all remote network elements. This article is devoted to an overview of such solutions.

There are considered issues of building a Low-Earth-Orbit Satellite System designed to provide the Internet of Things services and adapted to the features of the services and systems of the Internet of Things. The considered system provides the creation of the necessary telecommunication infrastructure based on the Low-Earth-Orbit Broadband Access Satellite System and places Computational Facilities into the Low-Earth-Orbit for to ensure the processing of Internet of Things devices and systems information, and perform computations. The architecture of a “Distributed Satellite” was chosen to construct the telecommunications part of the Internets of Things Satellite System. The chosen architecture allows, on the one hand, to ensure the full functionality of complex telecommunication systems, and on the other hand, to use spacecraft of the form factor nano-satellite / cub-sat. The using of the cube-sat spacecraft for development of the satellite-based system allows to significantly reduce the cost of development of the system and the time of the system deploying. A promising direction in the development of the Internet of Things systems is the implementation of the concept of “Fog Computing” for processing Internet of Things information. To implement “Fog Computing”, it was proposed to include into the composition of each “Distributed Satellite” a separate Satellite-Computer and to build an Orbital Distributed Network based on Satellite-Computers. The issues of the inter-satellite connectivity are considered taking into account ensuring the connection between Satellites-Computers in the framework of the Orbital Distributed Computer Network using inter-satellite links between Distributed Satellites, the characteristics of the orbital construction of the Satellite System Constellation. It was proposed to create and deploy the Distributed Localized Database based on the Orbital Distributed Computer Network, for to ensure the continuous provision of Internet of Things services, taking into account the movement of spacecraft in the orbital plane and the rotation of the Earth. It was shown the direction of transmission of the operational part of a Localized Distributed Database. Proposals are made on the distribution of the excess computational load arising in certain regions of the satellite telecommunications system's service area, involving the resource of neighboring satellite computers in its orbital plane and neighboring orbital planes. An algorithm is proposed for moving the excess computational load to the polar and oceanic regions.

The technical literature actively discusses ideas for creating digital twins to solve a wide range of problems that arise for enterprises of various kinds. Advances in the areas of information technology and the development of the necessary software really make it possible to obtain important new results through the creation of digital twins. This paper proposes the concept of building a network of digital twins, used to solve a number of actual problems in complex telecommunication systems. Two applications are considered examples of such tasks. The first application is the organization of information feedback for enterprises involved in the life cycle of a telecommunication network: “elaboration of modernization principles, development of equipment, design, construction, and operation.” The second application is monitoring traffic, including its atypical behavior, in order to avoid the recurrence of erroneous actions in case of emergency situations. Another important feature of the digital twin network is that it will become an effective tool for conducting interdisciplinary research.

Optical signal amplification in the waveguiding structure of optical fibers can be used for optical telecommunication systems and new light sources constructions. Organic dyes doped materials are interesting for new applications in polymeric optical fibers technology due to their benefits (efficient fluorescence, high absorption cross section, and easy processing). This article presents a numerical simulation of gain in poly(methyl methacrylate) optical fiber doped by Oxazine 170 Perchlorate. The calculated gain characteristic for the used dye molar concentration (0.2·10-6–1.4·10-6) and pump power (1–10 kW) is presented. The fabricated fluorescent polymeric optical fiber is also shown. The presented analysis can be used for optical amplifier construction based on dye-doped polymeric optical fiber (POF).

Future studies of episodic processes in the ocean and earth will require new tools to complement traditional, ship-based, expeditionary science. This will be enabled through the construction of innovative facilities called ocean observatories which provide unprecedented amounts of power and two-way bandwidth to access and control instrument networks in the oceans. The most capable ocean observatories are designed around a submarine fiber optic/power cable connecting one or more seafloor science nodes to the terrestrial power grid and communications backhaul. This paper defines the top level requirements that drive cabled observatory design and the system engineering environment within which a scientifically-capable infrastructure can be implemented. Commercial high reliability submarine telecommunication technologies which will be crucial in the design of long term cabled observatories are then reviewed. The top level architecture of a generic cabled observatory, describing the main subsystems comprising the whole and defining technological approaches to their engineering, is then described, along with some example design choices and tradeoff studies

The object of research is the information and telecommunication system (ITS) and ensuring the protection of information stored, processed and circulating in it. One of the most problematic areas in the creation of secure ITS is the logical inconsistency and incompleteness of the information security policy. That is, a set of laws, rules, restrictions, recommendations, etc., which regulate the procedure for processing information and are aimed at protecting information from a certain set of threats. The reason for such problems is usually the absence of pre-design modeling of the information security system as a component of the information and telecommunications system, which in the end causes the latter to be vulnerable. An important prerequisite for the creation of a secure ITS is the construction of a subject-object model of the system, which makes it possible to determine the connections between objects, their features, to model information flows and types of access to information and infrastructure resources. According to the existing clear, complete and consistent subject-object model of the ITS, it becomes possible to apply mathematical methods to modeling the processes of its functioning, including for solving the problem of formal proof of security. The paper considers the main idea of the method of formal proof of security, which can be used when building information security systems or assessing the security of the created information and telecommunications system. It is shown that for its implementation it is possible to use the methodology of automatic theorem proving. One of the ways to solve this problem, which is proposed in the work, is the use of the PVS (Prototype Verification System) formal logic system, which is widely used for writing specifications and constructing proofs. The main components of this system are considered, as well as the possibilities of its use for automatic proof of statements about the impossibility of unauthorized access under the conditions of a certain security policy. An example of the use of the PVS system for the formal proof of the security of the system in the framework of the Bella-LaPadula security policy is given.

The successful solution of the problem of further improving the efficiency of communication systems largely depends on the quality of operation of systems and devices that are part of them. Phase synchronization systems are widely implemented in various radio engineering devices of communication, radar and control technology, as well as in the device of precise magnetic recording. In particular, in phase-coherent telecommunications and control systems, they are used to restore the carrier and clock frequencies and for coherent demodulation of analog and digital signals with angular modulation. The issues of increasing the efficiency of the phase synchronization system of phase-coherent telecommunication and control systems in radio engineering devices are considered in the work. Namely, the results of synthesis and analysis of the scheme of construction of the combined system of phase synchronization under the condition of reduction of constant dynamic errors during monitoring of the carrier frequency, the phase of which is modulated by a deterministic Doppler signal are presented. As a result of research it is established that the synthesis of the open channel in the combined synchronization systems allows to realize them on invariant schemes which provide reduction of constant dynamic errors by increase of the order of astatism. The use as an open communication frequency discriminator, allows to increase the order of astatism of the combined system synchronization system to the second order. The open channel is made in the form of parallel (serial) connection of two links of the frequency discriminator with the proposed transfer function allows to increase the order of astatism to the third and higher order and does not affect the stability of the system. The analysis of the proposed schemes showed that the effect on the phase error dispersion of the synchronization system can be achieved by changing the parameters of the broken link of the scheme of construction of the specified system.

Therefore, the writer will conduct an analysis on the existing system and to design a proposed new system. The new Accounting Information Systems on Sales, Receivables, and Cash receipts will cover the process of recording documents on the project contracts, project sales orders, demand for material requirements, the status updates of project development, billing progress for the completed project phases right up to the receipt payments. By the data processing, information will be presented in the form of reports to managers in need of management purposes and board of directors to support decision making.

The quality of functioning multiservice telecommunication networks based on the architectural concept Next Generation Network (NGN) and Future Networks (FN) using modern innovative technologies has been analyzed. Based on the study, a new approach to the construction model for assessing performance indicators multiservice telecommunication networks based on SDN (Software Defined Networking) technologies, taking into account the property self-similarity traffic is proposed. On the basis of the proposed approach, complex indicators MTS were investigated, taking into account the requirement QoS (Quality of Service) and QoE (Quality of Experience). The mathematical apparatus and the results of the study throughput software and hardware complexes, the probabilistic-time characteristics of the network and the management physical resources in the provision multimedia services are presented. Models have been investigated and analytical expressions have been obtained for the assessment complex indicators of the quality offunctioning MTS in the provision multimedia services with the necessary parameters. А numerical analysis is carried out and a graphical dependence of the maximum network throughput on the total number software and hardware systems for a given system load factor is built.

The article presents a methodology for the development of information exchange tools based on the apparatus of hierarchical Petri nets, characterized by the possibility of simultaneous events and allows solving the problem of correctness analysis and verification of protocols. Protocol objects and access points are represented on the basis of the Petri nets apparatus: the simplest object of the reception/transmission protocol, the queue object, a single object and a trivial object. It describes the construction of complex structures of objects and operations on them, the management of timeouts based on the timer object, the specification of protocol objects, the specification of protocols and levels of logical structure. The proposed method is relevant for the analysis of complex communication systems of large size, which are mobile ad-hoc networks with a large number of nodes, characterized by topology instability due to unstable communication channel characteristics and high nodes mobility, and especially flying ad-hoc networks of aircraft (FANET) and flying sensor networks (FSN).

At the current time, it is impossible to manage the economy of the Russian Arctic zone regions without creating an infrastructure that will allow organizing effective management of the entire complex of industries located in these territories. In order to organize the development of the territory and living conditions on it, it is necessary to create the infrastructure and environment for comfortable living of the employed and residing population. First of all, it concerns the necessity to strengthen integration processes as the population living there experiences discomfort from the impossibility to use modern telecommunication and information services. In this article the author analyzes and proposes the concept of development and use of fiber-optic communication lines, which could provide (after their installation) the most inhabited communities with digital economy services at affordable prices. The population living in the northern regions and working in hydrocarbon production companies is partially provided with modern services through the construction of departmental communication lines for the management of production and transportation complexes. Get the integration of regional management systems based on the development of digital economy from the laying of Russian communication lines, replacing the use of satellite Internet owned by foreign companies. This will help to use information resources more efficiently in the process of management and interaction to solve common tasks of the Russian Arctic zone where the population lives on a permanent basis. In addition, the most important part of the construction of modern communication lines in the Arctic is to ensure the country’s defense capability of its northern borders, protection of the Northern Sea Route - the main route for the delivery of liquefied gas to Europe and Asia.

The article proposes a combinatorial construction of a network attack detection system based on selected methods of data mining and conducts experimental research that confirms the effectiveness of the created detection model to protect the distributed information network. Experiments with a software prototype showed the high quality of detection of network attacks and proved the correctness of the choice of methods of data mining and the applicability of the developed techniques. The state of security of information and telecommunication systems against cyberattacks is analyzed, which allowed to draw conclusions that to ensure the security of cyberspace it is necessary to implement a set of systems and protection mechanisms, namely systems: delimitation of user access; firewall; cryptographic protection of information; virtual private networks; anti-virus protection of ITS elements; detection and prevention of intrusions; authentication, authorization and audit; data loss prevention; security and event management; security management. An analysis of publications of domestic and foreign experts, which summarizes: experience in building attack detection systems, their disadvantages and advantages; of attack and intrusion detection systems based on the use of intelligent systems. Based on the results of the review, proposals were formed on: construction of network attack detection systems on the basis of selected methods of data mining and experimental research, which confirms the effectiveness of the created detection model for the protection of the distributed information network.

Modeling as a universal approach to the study of the structure and behavior of complex objects is used in many academic disciplines, as it is a general didactic means of acquiring knowledge. A promising direction in the development of mathematical modeling is modeling the behavior of intelligent systems, which is being improved due to the introduction of new information technologies, telecommunication systems and the massive use of computer technology. Modeling takes on the functionality of a powerful and effective tool for researching a variety of intelligent systems from various fields of human activity. One of the most popular methods for studying the functioning of intelligent systems are machine learning methods for processing large amounts of data, in particular, the apparatus of neural networks. The article discusses the features of constructing the simplest neural networks by using the Teachable Machine online system and online compilers of programming languages in the classroom on computer modeling at school. Detailed examples of building neural network models in Python and C ++ programming languages are given.

The contributions of this work are the in-depth analysis and the recommendations developed on the basis of this analysis. The developed system is part of a project concerning the construction and development of free internet access and monitoring systems in remote farms and in the mountainous regions of the country.

The purpose of this study is to find the requirement of Information Systems and Information Technology (IS/IT) in the development of the construction of Base Transceiver Station tower (BTS). The problem of constructing a «correct» mathematical model of the bell-shaped reaction of a scanning infrared sensor to a point object is considered. The suggested model takes into account changes in amplitude, duration and a shape of channel pulses in different situations when a light spot hits photosensitive areas. The results of computer modeling have shown low efficiency of traditional matched filtering in estimating amplitude of pulses from point objects when the sin2 function is used as a pulse model.

In construction of IoT network, the RFID technologies play the role of the front-end data collection via tag identification, as the basis of IoT. Hence, the adoption of RFID technologies is spurring innovation and the development of the IoT. However, in RFID system, one of the most important challenges is the collision resolution between the tags when these tags transmit their data to the reader simultaneously. Hence, in this paper I develop an efficient scheme to estimate the number of unidentified tags for Dynamic Framed Slotted Aloha (DFSA) based RFID system, with the view of increasing system performance. In addition to theoretical analysis, simulations are conducted to evaluate the performance of proposed scheme. The simulation results reveal the proposed scheme works very well in providing a substantial performance improvement in RFID system. The proposed algorithm promotes business effectiveness and efficiency while applying the RFID technologies to IoT.

The article presented results of researches conducted by the team of authors devoted to the possibilities of creation for the first time in Ukraine the real prerequisites for solving the fundamental problem of constructing digital telecommunication systems with the use of terahertz technologies. The necessity of transition to the use of the terahertz frequency range substantiated during the deployment of future telecommunication systems of ultra-high bandwidth. The analysis of characteristics of the path of signal propagation and determination of signal losses in conditions of operation of the radio relay system in the terahertz frequency range is carried out. The conducted analysis has shown that in the frequency range of 30-300 GHz, the most important types of fading that should consider during the design are fading due to the easing of the signal by hydrometeors and fading due to the absorption of the radio signal in gases, fading due to the influence of the antenna pattern. It determined that the work of the radio relay lines in the terahertz range allows practically not to take into consideration the refraction and interference of electromagnetic waves reflected from interference in the zone of radio signal propagation, which arises especially in conditions of dense urban development. This is due primarily to the fact that the terahertz waves have a low ability to "bend" the noise, and secondly, at the current frequency of 30 to 300 Hz apply at relatively small distances (up to 5 km), which allows for avoiding spatial planning interference to the zone of direct visibility of antennas and the first Fresnel zone. It considered the main factors that lead to the emergence of fading in radio relay communication lines. It is shown that in the terahertz range the greatest influence on the energy potential of the radio-relay lines is attenuating in hydro meteors and gases. The terahertz frequency range areas allocated that is most suitable for application in radio relay communication lines. The principles of formation of signal-code construction considered methods and new technical solutions for choosing the type of signal construction proposed in order to achieve the best bandwidth and performance in the channel of communication of a wireless gigabit system of transmission in the terahertz range. The physical simulation of the ultra high-speed shaper based on multifrequency multiplexing of the modulated OFDM digital streams has been carried out, bench tests and optimization have been carried out to achieve the maximum bandwidth of the digital data transmission channel in the Ethernet format using the developed software. The developed software and hardware allowed for the first time to reach the overall channel speed with a full duplex up to 1.2 Gb / s. On the basis of the generalization of the results of theoretical research and experimental work, the analysis of the existing radio relay element base, the design of the main nodes of the receiving and transmitting parts of a telecommunication system with a gigabit throughput in the frequency range 130-134 GHz, the structural scheme of the transmitting and receiving system of the system is developed: frequency mixer with subharmonic pumping, the heterodyne, which uses a highly stable reference quartz oscillator with a subsequent chain of multiplication and under power stage, bandpass filter using a thin metal plate in the E-plane of the waveguide channel 1.6x0.8 mm, horn antenna. It is presented the results of experimental studies of the main nodes of the receiving and transmitting parts of a telecommunication system with a gigabit throughput in the frequency range 130-134 GHz. Scientific novelty of the work consists in generalization and development of the theory of distribution, generation and measurement of terahertz signals, in the development of the method of multiple frequency multiplexing and generation of modulated OFDM digital streams in the terahertz frequency range and the development of the principles of functional design of the receiving and transmitting parts of a telecommunication system with a gigabit throughput in terahertz frequency range

In modern conditions, it becomes necessary to create security systems, surveillance systems, anti-terrorist systems that carry out covert detection and surveillance of small-sized ground objects, including biological ones. Traditionally used single-position radars are ineffective in conditions of a large number of reflections that interfere with and low speed of movement of detected objects (people). The use of several such radars is impractical due to their rather high complexity and cost. In addition, it is impossible to ensure the secrecy of such systems. The construction of radar surveillance systems in the form of semi-active bistatic, including educational, radar systems is promising for the described conditions. One of the important issues in the construction of semi-active bistatic systems is the substantiation of the parameters of external illumination signals and the assessment of the attainable characteristics of such systems when using them. The analysis and definition of the requirements for the characteristics of the illumination signals is carried out. In addition, consider the features of using signals from modern emitting systems in semi-active radars. The basic parameters of the signals are given – the bandwidth, the pulse duration (spectrum width), the power at the transmitter output, the frequency range in which the system operates. The advantages and disadvantages of semi-active radar stations (SA RS), which use such signals, are described. Variants of semi-active bistatic systems with external illumination are determined. The widespread use of modern digital language and telecommunication systems provides the SA RS with effective illumination signals with good correlation properties, which makes it possible to obtain the necessary technical characteristics in a variety of application conditions

Introduction and goal. The article deals with the actual problem of the lack of assessment of the current state and effectiveness of the functioning of the information educational environment of individual educational organizations, at the regional and national level. The purpose of the described research was to determine the approaches to assessing the state of such an environment in the systems of general, vocational and additional education. Materials and methods. The definition of approaches to the assessment of the modern stage of the formation and development of information educational media has been carried out on the basis of the method of modeling, analytical activity, the use of elements of graph theory, and the analysis of scientific literature. Provides for the use of telecommunication technologies to collect the necessary information. Results. The stages and technologies for carrying out a comprehensive study of the state of the information educational environment in systems of general, vocational and additional education have been developed and described. Such stages include the preliminary construction of a scientifically based model, the development of computer tools, including questionnaire templates for surveys of workers and students of educational institutions, the collection and statistical processing of data, a comparative analysis of the existing stage of development of the information educational environment and the results of previous studies, the publication of analysis results and developed recommendations in telecommunication networks. The proposed technology provides for the possibility of a unified collection and publication of information on examples of the most effective practical experience in the formation and use of information educational environments. Conclusions. The developed approaches application will make it possible to identify measures aimed at improving the efficiency of projects for the formation and development of information educational environments and will contribute to a more accurate forecasting of the prospects for informatization of education.

The alternatives are key negotiation methods by transmitting information over open communication channels. The information efficiency accurate estimates are represented for some methods of open key agreement between two legitimate correspondents. They are not known for the network key formation conditions. The study purpose: an evidence-based search for potential evaluations of the open network key generation information effectiveness. The results: based on a set of represented results (including problem statement, intruder models development, channel connectivity, coder, decoder, system of quality indicators and key forming method requirements, key generation method, the network key generation asymptotic information efficiency index, proof key capacity theorem), an asymptotic information efficiency index estimate of a network key forming was made, which the key network bandwidth measurement based on the information exchange on a binary broadcast channel of communication with the component channels described by discrete symmetric channels models is proposed. Besides, Broadcast channel entropy function influence on the estimate is investigated. The pattern determining the network key forming possibility that meets the requirements is identified. The connection of the results with known scientific research is identified. The areas for further research are identified. The practical significance: the obtained results develop the wellknown scientific results in the field of the open key agreement theory and can be useful to specialists in the design and construction field of promising key management subsystems of modern cryptographic information protection systems that provide a closed telecommunication systems information exchange.

Currently, modern telecommunication and radio-electronic systems widely use wireless information transmission technologies over the radio channel. Therefore, an urgent task is to ensure electromagnetic compatibility of a large number of simultaneously operating radio facilities using high-selective bandpass filters. This paper presents circuit solutions for microstrip filters using incomplete inclusion of loads and communication elements. This construction makes it possible to obtain additional attenuation poles in the near zone of the stop band, which frequencies are determined by the load inclusion factor. It is proposed to include a capacitor in the middle of the microstrip communication line to improve the selective properties. This made it possible to increase the order of the filter at constant dimensions. The frequency characteristics of a high-selective quasi-elliptic filter are given.

Maintenance and expansion of transport and communications infrastructure requires ongoing construction work on a large scale. To plan and execute these in the best possible way, up-to-date and highly detailed digital maps are needed. For example, until recently, telecommunication companies have performed documentation and mapping of as-built urban structures for construction work manually and with great time expense. Mobile mapping systems offer a solution for documenting urban environments fast and mostly automated. In consequence, large amounts of recorded data emerge in short time, creating the need for automated processing and modeling of these data to provide reliable foundations for digital planning in reasonable time. We present (a) a procedure for fully automated processing of mobile mapping data for digital construction planning in the context of nationwide broadband network expansion and (b) an in-depth study of the performance of this procedure on real-world data. Our multi-stage pipeline segments georeferenced images and fuses segmentations with 3D data, which allows exact localization of surfaces and objects, which can then be passed via interface, e.g., to a geographic information system (GIS). The final system is able to distinguish between similar looking surfaces, such as concrete and asphalt, with a precision between 80% and 95%, regardless of setting or season.

With the rapid development of the power system and the increasing complexity of the power grid structure, users’ demand for information-based management of the power distribution network is growing, and the need to improve various power production service standards is becoming increasingly urgent. Geographic information systems (GIS) are a natural combination of geographic and data attributes that are particularly well suited to the management of urban pipeline systems such as distribution and telecommunication networks. This paper discusses the current application characteristics and challenges of 3D GIS in the power system. A 3D graphic analysis model of the power grid and its realization method are proposed using 2D GIS and scene simulation technology combined with object-oriented design method. The problems that exist in current urban distribution facility management are solved in this paper through the effective integration of information construction and distribution facility management, and the goal of refined management is achieved on this basis. More and more complex 3D spatial data can be processed more realistically and intuitively with 3D GIS.

<p>The methodology description of the adaptive multi-threshold decoding of self-orthogonal codes in the telecommunication channels of information transfer is shown in this paper. The method of multi-threshold decoder modification is described on the basis of adaptive filtration algorithms. Principles of adaptive algorithms application provide for necessary data transmission validity in the case of the multi-threshold decoding are explored. The graphic charts of multi-threshold decoders noise immunity of self-orthogonal block and convolutional codes are presented. It is determined the coding gain (CG) for multi-threshold decoding schemes. The result of research conducted in the course of the paper is to develop a set of scientifically grounded theoretical positions and practical recommendations and proposals for the development of mechanisms of formalization of description of method of increasing of noise immunity of telecommunication systems transmitting information to the synthesis and improving receiver circuit modulated signals on the theory and practice the use of signal-code constructions (SCC) when deciding maximize system capacity information transmission in the presence of noise.</p>

In order to organize the development of the territory and living conditions on it, it is necessary to create the infrastructure and environment for comfortable living of the employed and residing population. First of all, it concerns the necessity to strengthen integration processes as the population living there experiences discomfort from the impossibility to use modern telecommunication and information services. In this article the author analyzes and proposes the concept of development and use of fiber-optic communication lines, which could provide (after their installation) the most inhabited communities with digital economy services at affordable prices. The population living in the northern regions and working in hydrocarbon production companies is partially provided with modern services through the construction of departmental communication lines for the management of production and transportation complexes. Get the integration of regional management systems based on the development of digital economy from the laying of Russian communication lines, replacing the use of satellite Internet owned by foreign companies. This will help to use information resources more efficiently in the process of management and interactions to solve common tasks of the Russian Arctic zone where the population lives on a permanent basis. In addition, the most important part of the construction of modern communication lines in the Arctic is to ensure the country’s defense capability of its northern borders, protection of the Northern Sea Route — the main route for the delivery of liquefied gas to Europe and Asia.

Abstract The article analyses possible applications for Brillouin scattering in optic-fiber sensors. They make it possible to do temperature and physical strain measurements with high accuracy for long line sections. The functional dependences of the output signals characteristics on parameters measured by the sensors are studied. Of particular interest are the results of the analysis of the spectral component shifts in the Brillouin light scattering depending on the fiber elongation and temperature. After a brief review of the basic theoretical principles the results of some researches aimed to expand the dynamic range and to increase spatial resolution. The results of simulation in professional design software environment OptiSystem 17.1. are described. The results are obtained by experimental research based on Brillouin reflectometer AQ8603 manufactured by “ANDO” (Japan). They show that it is possible to implement optic-fiber sensors based on Brillouin scattering in telecommunication systems, oil and gas industry, in electric-power industry, construction, aviation and space industry. The objectives for further research are to perform metrological analysis at all stages of the method implementation, to complete the base of Brillouin spectrograms for optical fiber of various types and to improve algorithms for automated processing spectra in order to expand functionality of the systems.

Social housing dating from the postwar years through the end of the twentieth century is one of the major stores of European cities’ residential stock. As it is generally characterised by a poor thermal performance and an inefficient control of energy consumption, it constitutes one of the main targets for residential heritage renewal. This study aimed to locate and quantify air leaks across building envelopes in Mediterranean multifamily housing with a view to curbing the uncontrolled inflow of outdoor air that has a direct impact on occupant comfort and housing energy demand. Airtightness tests conducted in a series of protocols to quantify draught across envelope elements were supplemented with qualitative infrared thermographic and smoke tests to locate leakage pathways. Air was found to flow mainly across façade enclosures, primarily around openings, as well as through service penetrations in walls between flats and communal areas accommodating electrical and telecommunication wires and water supply, domestic hot water (DHW), and drainage pipes. The general absence of evidence of draught across structural floors or inter-flat partitions was consistent with the construction systems in place.

Abstract Nowadays, the development of optical telecommunication systems requires more efficient all-optical elements appreciation to their high data transmission speeds and reduced electromagnetic interferences. In this work, our objective is to attest by simulation a design of an optical switch using 2D photonic crystals from polystyrene, an organic polymeric material with high Kerr non-linearity. This excellent ultra-fast switching leads us to the exploited in the construction of two new structures of all-optical AND/NAND and OR/NOR logic gates. These structures based on non-linear ring resonator NRR of different radius in order to operate a telecom wavelength of 1550.3 µm using RSoft (Full-Wave) software. The average contrast intensity is between 15.52 and 23.42 dB and low delay time varied from 20 fs to 5.0 ps. Hence, resulting a very high output signal for ON-switching (82–130% of P in) and a weak signal for OFF-switching (0.2–7% of P in) through a minimum threshold power around of 1.2 mW/μm2.

In recent decades, perfect algebraic constructions are successfully being use to signal systems synthesis, to construct block and stream cryptographic algorithms, to create pseudo-random sequence generators as well as in many other fields of science and technology. Among perfect algebraic constructions a significant place is occupied by bent-sequences and the class of perfect binary arrays associated with them. Bent-sequences are used for development of modern cryptographic primitives, as well as for constructing constant amplitude codes (C-codes) used in code division multiple access technology. In turn, perfect binary arrays are used for constructing correction codes, systems of biphase phase- shifted signals and multi-level cryptographic systems. The development of methods of many-valued logic in modern information and communication systems has attracted the attention of researchers to the improvement of methods for synthesizing many-valued bent-sequences for cryptography and information transmission tasks. The new results obtained in the field of the synthesis of ternary bent-sequences, make actual the problem of researching the class of perfect ternary arrays. In this paper we consider the problem of extending the definition of perfect binary arrays to three-valued logic case, as a result of which the definition of a perfect ternary array was introduced on the basis of the determination of the unbalance of the ternary function. A complete class of perfect ternary arrays of the third order is obtained by a regular method, bypassing the search. Thus, it is established that the class of perfect ternary arrays is a union of four subclasses, in each of which the corresponding methods of reproduction are determined. The paper establishes the relationship between the class of ternary bent-sequences and the class of perfect ternary arrays. The obtained results are the basis for the introduction of perfect ternary arrays into modern cryptographic and telecommunication algorithms.

The author concludes that the understanding of the state’s sovereignty in relation to cyberspace lies not in detailing a set of measures in the form of sovereign powers undertaken in this area, but in constructing the boundaries of cyberspace both in relation to the technical component of the network infrastructure that supports the smooth functioning of the Network, and in in relation to the virtual component of cyberspace. To achieve the goal of the study, the author proposed to combine social, technological and subjective approaches, understanding by cyberspace an artificial telecommunication environment for the implementation of public relations controlled by a wide range of subjects (states, intergovernmental organizations, non-governmental organizations, individuals, etc.), the functioning and maintenance of which is carried out by means of software-technical infrastructure in the form of its physical part (telecommunication networks, computers, servers, routers, processors, satellites, etc.) and a virtual part (operating systems, data transmission standards, hardware applications, software, etc.).

Critical infrastructures such as transportation, power, telecommunication, water supply, and hospitals play a vital role in effectively managing post-disaster responses. The resilience of critical infrastructures should be incorporated in the planning and designing phase based on the risk assessment in a particular geographic area. However, the framework to assess critical infrastructure resilience (CIR) is variably conceptualised. Therefore, the objective of this study was to critically appraise the existing CIR assessment frameworks developed since the adoption of the Sendai Framework in 2015 with the hazard focus on earthquakes. The preferred reporting items for systematic reviews and meta-analyses (PRISMA) method was used for the selection of the 24 most relevant studies, and these were analysed to delineate existing frameworks, models, and concepts. The study found that there are wide-ranging disparities among the existing frameworks to assess the infrastructure resilience, and it has become a key challenge to prioritise resilience-based investment in the infrastructure sector. Furthermore, key attributes such as performance indicators, emergency aspects, and damage assessment need to be considered for different disaster phases—ex-ante, during, and ex-post—to improve the long-term resilience of critical infrastructure. Subsequently, an integrated and adaptable infrastructure resilience assessment framework is proposed for proper critical infrastructure planning and resilience-based investment decision making.

Abstract In 2006 the European Union (EU) adopted a directive which imposed on telecommunication operators an obligation to store all the telecommunication data (data retention) and provide access to retained data to state authorities in order to combat serious crime. The new legislation had to been implemented by all EU Member States. Immediately after the directive was issued, it triggered controversy. Substantial reservations against this measure had been confirmed by five European constitutional courts already within the first eight years since its introduction. In 2014 the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) also acknowledged those reservations. Since then, further European constitutional courts invalidated domestic legislation on data retention. This jurisprudence posed a unique research opportunity to verify whether a genuine judicial dialogue within the varied legal systems occurred in the EU. In this article we analyze jurisprudence of constitutional courts, CJEU, and the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) on data retention. We identify interactions between domestic and international standards of privacy protection. The main method employed is a comparative study of all the judgments (following their translation) along with a simultaneous analysis of the common EU regulatory framework that all of those judgments challenged. A pivotal finding was an identification of three basic models clearly describing approaches taken by the constitutional courts involved. As the basis for our models, we used the approach of constitutional courts to two pan-European courts: ECtHR and CJEU. We claim that the analyzed jurisprudence constituted an important building block in the construction of a constitutional tradition relating to the protection of privacy based on the European Convention of Human Rights. Existence of this tradition led to the 2014 CJEU judgment (and to subsequent judgments of national constitutional courts).

Construction project management covering various aspects such as planning, coordinating, directing, scheduling, monitoring and control. Pre-construction services are used in planning a construction project before the actual construction begins. However, various problems happened at the pre-construction planning stage. This paper present an overview of the major problems in pre-construction stage and look at the potential of using augmented reality technology to overcome those problems. It was found that, at the pre-construction stage, good planning can not be done by the project teams especially to engineers and contractors due to the lack of supporting data, particularly when it involves information relating to underground utilities such as telecommunications, gas, electricity, water and sewerage. There are several approaches that can been undertaken in pre-construction services, especially in making an informed decision. The potential technology is using Augmented Reality (AR)-based approach in pre-construction service. Augmented reality is the integration of digital information with the users environment in real-time. It was one of the tool that support the concept of cyber-physical systems (CPS). CPS is the integration systems between computational network and physical processes. Currently, there are many fields utilised the application of AR such as medical, militiry, vehicles, gaming and navigation. This paper presents the applications of an AR-based approach to medical and gaming industry and explore the potential of using AR in pre-construction. The finding shows that the AR is a potential decision support tool that will speed up the planning process of the project team in the pre-construction phase in real-time.

Presented are the results of an analysis of the growing interest in the use of low Earth orbits (up to 1500 km high) for the introduction and development of the Internet of things (Internet of Things - IoT). Industrial Internet of things (Industrial Internet of Things-IIoT). Internet of things for remote areas (Remote Internet of Things - RioT, for the purposes of scientific research and economic use of natural resources, control of the development and operation of infrastructure projects, the operation of territorially distributed industrial production, transport infrastructure. Factors significantly limiting the further introduction of micro and nano satellites are given. The authors proposed to resolve this contradiction on the basis of the developed concept of creating the architecture of a "distributed satellite". As an example, the article considers possible applications of the distributed satellite architecture in two segments of the space information systems market: remote sensing of the Earth and telecommunication systems. The application of the "distributed satellite" in radar systems with synthesized aperture (SAR-system) was considered taking into account the requirements of the operators of satellite SAR-systems and consumers of their information. It is shown. that the use of the "distributed satellite" architecture in SAR-systems also makes it possible to realize the technology of multi-static radar with a "soft" interference base (from 200 m to 1 km). The scheme of organization and interaction of the "distributed satellite" in the satellite-transmitter on the platform of the micro satellite, which is the core of the satellite cluster, and several satellites-receivers on the cube-sat platform is presented. The functions performed by the satellite-transmitter, the inter-satellite radio link and the satellite-receiver are considered in detail. The work of the "distributed satellite" is illustrated by the presented structural diagram of the SAR-system for remote sensing of the Earth, a version of the architecture of the low-orbit satellite communication system and the scheme for constructing a satellite system for the provision of IoT services. In conclusion, it is noted that the architecture of the "distributed satellite" makes it possible to effectively use satellites of the class of micro/nano satellite (cube-sat) to create complex space-based information and telecommunication systems

Relevance. One of the main directions of development of mobile communication systems, radio engineering and telecommunication systems is the improvement of the structural form of the bearing supports, which will solve a number of practical tasks: to increase the coverage area, to ensure higher rates of data transmission speed and to ensure stable operation in an increasing number of users. These circumstances justify the relevance of research in this direction. Aims of research. Optimization of design solutions using parallel puffs, ensuring the possibility of erection and safe operation during the entire service life, which ensures that the requirements for strength, stability and deformations for such structures are met with minimal material consumption. Methods. For calculations, finite element methods are used for mathematical modeling using software and computing systems. To create linear models for numerical experiments, the method of mathematical planning of experiments was used. Results. The work of the towers of the proposed constructive solution is considered as supports for the placement of equipment of cellular operators using the example of a 42-meter tower. The method of mathematical planning of experiments was used to create a model line for numerical experiments. To establish the basic characteristics of the stress-strain state of the structures of the supports, a number of models were created and calculated in software packages, the basis of which is the finite element method. A comparative analysis of the effort in the delays determined by analytical calculation and the finite element method is performed. The analysis of changes in the stress-strain state of the towers from the influence of influencing factors, such as wind and icy-wind loads, the angle of deflection on the lower tier of the tower. By the criterion of minimum metal consumption and manufacturability of the construction of towers, rational overall dimensions of the tower were determined. The options for constructing the main junctions of the elements of the tower are proposed.

Nowadays, Information and communications technology (ICT) becomes a very important thing in human life in different fields. They are used in many fields as information systems (software, middleware) using various telecommunication media to give users the ability to manipulate digital data. In addition, with new technology development, a new concept appeared in the late 90s and early millennium, which is distance learning through e-Learning platform. Recommendation systems become increasingly used in information systems and especially in e-learning platform. These systems are used to propose and recommend content of these platforms to users according to needs of the latter in order to allow them to have the maximum information for learning. In this paper, we present an intelligent hybrid recommendation system based on data mining. This system has four parts, the first for data collection and for center of interest construction by two modes: explicit data collection, which based on users and what they filled in their profiles, and implicit and automatic data collection by proposing a survey to users in order to gather information about their interest. A second part for processing information already collected in the previous part and for creating the learning model, classifying users who posted the content and classifying content also in order to send the results to the recommendation module. The third part is for making the similarity between learners and content and doing the recommendation for learners and the final part is for creating a log file of recommendation by learner, which will be used in the upcoming recommendation. According to results already done, we noticed that our proposition is satisfactory and the system is well optimized in terms of accuracy, response and processing time compared to the standard recommendation.

The paper is devoted to the consideration of the current state and trends in the use of simulation modeling for mathematical modeling of terrain data obtained from the processing of digital images, both from photos and radar systems of Aerospace-based aircraft. The relevance of considering the state and trends in the development of technological approaches in modeling systems is due to the practical need to obtain data from photo and radar images of objects in the system's viewing area, taking into account the growing requirements for the efficiency and accuracy of determining (detecting) images of observation objects in real time in difficult conditions. The general structure of the construction of technologies used for simulation modeling of terrain objects is given the main prospects for practical application of these technologies in solving problems of classification and monitoring of terrain objects are determined. Estimates of the main technological approaches to images of objects in the application of the considered systems and assessment of the accuracy of determining terrain coordinates are given. Channels of information transmission in the process of receiving and processing data from photo and radar systems of remote sensing of the earth are considered. Also, as an example, a chain-node model of spatial data about objects that are obtained during remote sensing of the Earth and are represented as linear and point-based. To create a geographical basis for further modeling of various telecommunications and communication systems. This will allow for more accurate development of telecommunications and communication systems based on geographical data. Take into account the closing angles when forming a cellular connection.

The 21st century abounds in modern electronic-information technologies, which are applied in many areas of life. Amongst many modern technologies there is also the Internet of Things (IoT) that is the concept of incorporating objects and devices equipped with a communication interface into the telecommunication and IT networks. This particular feature makes IoT a paradigm that can be successfully applied to measurement systems used in research in civil engineering, especially using a wireless sensor network deployed in scattered research locations. In turn, technological progress in the miniaturization of sensors and controllers allows the construction of very efficient and low-cost systems for monitoring the physical parameters of buildings, which are safety indicators. The main purpose of this paper is to present the concept of wireless network of MEMS-based sensors with particular emphasis on its application in monitoring of structural safety including the author’s own system based on Long Range (LoRa) technology. The exact novelty of the proposed concept is the synergistic synthesis of solutions in the field of electronics, micromechanics and computer science, applied for civil engineering purposes. The system consists of MEMS accelerometers based on MPU6050 chips and A1302 Hall-effect sensors supported by AVR microcontrollers and LoRa transceivers based on RF98 chips operating at 433 MHz. The prototype of the measuring network was installed in a selected university building in which structural discontinuities (wall cracks) were noted. Sample results of measurements of the impact of service loads on the building structure behavior were presented in the form of accelerograms.

Speech is one of the major communication tools to share information among people. This exchange method has a complicated construction consisting of not the best imparting of voice but additionally consisting of the transmission of many-speaker unique information. The most important aim of this research is to extract individual features through the speech-dependent health monitoring and management system; through this system, the speech data can be collected from a remote location and can be accessed. The experimental analysis shows that the proposed model has a good efficiency. Consequently, in the last 5 years, many researchers from this domain come in front to explore various aspects of speech which includes speech analysis using mechanical signs, human system interaction, speaker, and speech identification. Speech is a biometric that combines physiological and behavioural characteristics. Especially beneficial for remote attack transactions over telecommunication networks, the medical information of each person is quite a challenge, e.g., like COVID-19 where the medical team has to identify each person in a particular region that how many people got affected by some disease and took a quick measure to get protected from such diseases and what are the safety measure required. Presently, this task is the most challenging one for researchers. Therefore, speech-based mechanisms might be useful for tracking his/her voice quality or throat getting affected. By collecting the database of people matched and comparing with his/her original database, it can be identified in such scenarios. This provides the better management system without touching and maintains a safe distance data that can be gathered and processed for further medical treatment. Many research studies have been done but speech-dependent approach is quite less and it requires more work to provide such a smart system in society, and it may be possible to reduce the chances to come into contact with viral effected people in the future and protect society for the same.

Public-key cryptographic algorithms and protocols based on computational difficulty of the factorization problem and on the discrete logarithm problem are widely used in information-telecommunication systems. Currently the problem of construction of the post-quantum algorithms and protocols, i.e. cryptoschemes that are secure to potential attacks using quantum computers, represents a challenge in the area of applied and theoretic cryptography. In the literature the postquantum signature schemes based on the hidden discrete logarithm problem that is formulated in the finite non-commutativeassociative algebras were proposed. A disadvantage of such signature schemes is comparatively large size of the private key. The goal of the study is to develop an alternative signature generation procedures that will allow to reduce significantly the size of the private key. To achieve the goal, it is using the elements of the public key to compute the fixation vector at the first step of the signature formation procedure. As a result, there are designed alternative signature generation procedures in two known signature schemes based on the computational difficulty of the hidden discrete logarithm problem. Application of the proposed procedures gives possibility to reduce the size of the private key. The practical significance of the study is reduction the size of the protected memory in the electronic devices used for computation of the digital signatures.

Detailed geophysical surveys are required in both deep and shallow water to avoid potential hazards and to provide for the installation and safety of fiber optic telecommunication cables. Unfortunately, data obtained in potential burial zones with existing technology are slow and often data accuracy may be questionable. Towing cabled or tethered survey systems, from a project perspective, is time consuming and provides marginally adequate data. Additionally, a launch is usually required to survey between the surf and the safe working limits of the survey ship. This requires additional equipment that is weather sensitive and subject to failure.To address this problem, C & C Technologies, Inc. of Lafayette, Louisiana, USA has contracted with Kongsberg Simrad for the construction of a Hugin 3000 autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV). C & C Technologies’ Hugin 3000 AUV, which is to be delivered in July of 2000, will be integrated with a variety of sensors including high frequency multibeam swath bathymetry and imagery. Other survey sensors include chirp side scan sonar, chirp sub-bottom profiler, and magnetometer. Vehicle positioning will be provided by a USBL acoustic positioning system, integrated with Doppler speed log, an inertial navigation system, and for surface operations, DGPS. AUV power will be delivered by aluminum oxygen fuel cells.This paper will address AUV operations, platform performance, sensor specifications and integration, project milestones, and system economics with regards to cable route surveys.

Purpose: A historical review of the experimental baselopment of low-frequency radio astronomy in Ukraine, its foundation half a century ago by an outstanding scientist S.Ya. Braude to the current state. Design/methodology/approach: The constant progress of electronic, computer and digital technologies, information and telecommunication technologies, theory and practice of antenna and receiving systems design, which introduction enriched the hardware and methodological ideology of construction and usage of the UTR-2, URAN, and GURT radio telescopes, have been used. Findings: The worldwide most effective national experimental radio astronomy means, the UTR-2, URAN, and GURT decameter-meter wave radiotelescopes, have been created and improved. The best combination of the systems main parameters: sensitivity; frequency band; spatial, frequency and temporal resolutions; noise immunity; uniformity of amplitude-frequency and space-frequency characteristics and multifunctionality has been provided. Conclusions: For the half a century of radio astronomical scientific and technical at the Institute of Radio Astronomy of NAS of Ukraine, the high astrophysical informativeness of the low-frequency radio astronomy and the possibility of creating a highly efficient experimental base – giant radio telescopes of decameter-meter wavebands have been proved. Today, the Ukrainian radio telescopes are well known and recognized world-wide being indispensable and most in demand by the scientific community. The founder of the decameter radio astronomy in Ukraine, the eminent scientist Semen Yakovych Braude was not mistaken when he decided to start radio astronomical explorations. The memory of him will always remain in the minds and hearts of many generations. Space exploration arises the demand for launching large size structures to satisfy the need of high bandwidth telecommunication, earth observation and deep space interplanetary missions. Launching of these monolithic structures of sizes 3 m or more are not feasible due to limited launch fairing space of state-of-the-art launch vehicles. Therefore, the development of innovative deployment mechanisms is need of the hour. Deployment process of space borne deployable systems is the process of transition from mechanism to structure which is one of the unreliable stage due to existence of many conventional rotary joints which causes loss of energy due to backlash, friction and misalignment. An investigation study is presented in this paper for churning out a solution of flexible hinges using tape springs in state-of-the-art space deployable configurations which eliminates the factors causing loss of energy. Analytical and experimental methods are evaluated for investigating the bending behaviour of tape flexures. Tape flexures demonstrate to be a suitable candidate for compliant deployable configuration. The proposed configuration with combination of two tape flexures mounted in such a way that concave curve of each tape faces each other are structurally analysed for desired rotation angle. A comparison study is carried out for various material options of single and double layered tape flexures proposed for a flexure hinge. Practical feasibility of the proposed configuration is also demonstrated successfully on space borne deployable structures.

Objective: To study the main approaches to organization of radio communication on high-speed railroad transport, to determine the requirements for functional capabilities and the structure of radio communication systems. Methods: The analysis of modern international and home practice in the sphere of radio telecommunication systems was applied for railway transport, on the basis of application strategy of interconnected indices’ complex, including reliability, availability, maintainability and safety (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability and Safety – RAMS) and cost (Life Cycle Cost – LCC) at all stages of transportation systems’ life cycle. Results: GSM-R standard was chosen as the basic one for organization of digital systems of engineering radio communication for high-speed mainlines. The choice was conditioned by the fact that the standard in question was developed for the purposes of railroad transport and is the basis for constructing European integrated railway radio enhanced network EIRENE (European Integrated Railway Radio Enhanced Network). Moreover, it was established that the most promising standard of radio communication for railway transport might be LTE (LTE-R) standard. Communication system capacity of the given standard, its applicability for the solution of the extensive range of railway radio communication tasks (including the task of providing customer radio communication) will make it possible to replace several different radio communication systems, solving specific functional tasks, by one which is more convenient and reliable. However, global and domestic experience of the standard in question application on railroad transport (including high-speed mainlines) has yet been insufficient, while the cost of LTE equipment is significantly higher compared to GSM-R standard. Practical importance: The requirements for functionality and structure of radio communication systems for high-speed networks were stated, including the requirements for digital systems of engineering radio communication (basic and reserved), the system of engineering on-line repair radio communication and digital wireless data communication system. Certain standards of radio communication allow for the realization of the given requirements.
