Повний текст джерелаThis research confronts the concerns surrounding the professionalisation of psychiatric and mental health nurses. It takes place in a financed context through its implementation as a CIFRE programme (research and training agreement). As its sponsor, the mental health care facility of the Lille Metropolitan area has set up a plan called “professionalisation and tutoring” in order to complete nurses’ initial training, judged insufficient since the psychiatric nurses’ degree and its associated training were shut down in 1992. The plan’s significance is analysed through three levels and from a comprehensive approach. The first level regards its situation in the historical and cultural evolution of the professional group. The second, that which concerns the plan’s actors getting involved to make it work. The final level refers to the neo-nurses appropriation of the educative work instituted by the plan. It is shown that the plan expresses an intention of (re)professionalising the social group by establishing a relation between work and training. This third level is used as an analytical line allowing the study of how, in neo-nurses’ experience, the relationship with the craft is built. The theme of violence in psychiatry is also examined through the relation between work and training to study how it is taken into account in the nurses’ practices. Finally, the typicality of this research, financed by a sponsor’s funds, implies that it has to deal with a system of expectations composed of different levels. Here, the researcher is made to consider its involvement and give an interventionist dimension by training some actors of the field

Повний текст джерелаThis research concerns the techniques of tile and brick-making in Roman time in the provinces ofGaul and Germania. We have only access to these techniques through archaeology. First, there arethe movable vestiges: the objects (tiles and bricks), then there are the real estate vestiges: the tilemakingsites which are regularly uncovered. Only the structures of production are examined here, but it is often made reference to materials. The study is led according to two guidelines. One is horizontal: the “chaîne opératoire”, the other is vertical: Time, from present to past. The structures of production are treated according to the orderof the making process: quarrying, preparing clay, shaping, drying, and firing. Inside each of thesefive phases are successively studied structures of contemporary time (craft production), modern, medieval and finally Gallo-Roman. This regressive approach allows us to bring to light thecontinuities and the breaks in the techniques used and thus, to better characterize and understandthe most ancient of them, the Gallo-Roman tile-makers one. The functioning of the most recentstructures of production sheds light on that of the Roman ones. Punctual comparisons are only usedto try and explain some original characteristics of the Gallo-Roman structures. The most innovativeresults were obtained in the study of the structures used in the phases of shaping, drying and firing

Повний текст джерелаThis research investigates how on-site craft gangs adapt to the production environment on-site and how on-site learning is affected by prior learning in orders to optimise productivity. To achieve the aim of the study, previous experience of construction production process of craft gangs, site supervisors and the project managers working in Nigerian construction firms was evaluated. The researcher employed a mixed method research approach utilising qualitative and quantitative approaches. The research strategies used in this investigation included interviews and observation method. A face-to-face semi-structured interviews of (15) participants comprising of craft gangs, site supervisors and the project managers was used in the qualitative method of the data collection to explore the project specific constraints and the response mechanism used to resolve the various constraints. A standard observation data form was used in all the observed seven (7) gang’s blockwork craft gangs on the construction site. The interview transcript results collected were analysed using content analysis, an objective and systematic form of data analysis applicable to analysing interview data. In the application of the learning curve model to the blockwork craft gang’s, the straight-line model was used in the preliminary analysis of the application of learning curve theory to blockwork craft gang’s. In this study, the ordinary least squares technique, frequently referred to as linear regression was used for the data analysis. 0.05% significance level was used as a satisfactory degree of the inferences in the observation part of this study. Blockwork craft gang’s observed at the site shows approximately an overall average learning of 94.21%, resulting in 5.79% improvement in blockwork gang’s productivity. In addition, substantial impact on productivity of blockwork construction was achieved in wall construction. This research work is fundamental in construction management by way of developing an understanding into the changing aspects of on-site blockwork craft gangs learning and its impact on productivity. The repetitive nature of blockwork activities has an important influence on the optimisation of productivity. Construction craft gangs productivity constraints and response mechanism generated in this study provides a methodological instrument for addressing the major constraints influencing craft gangs productivity. This instrument will also permit future research on the project specific constraints and the response mechanisms used to resolve the constraints.

Повний текст джерелаImprovements on construction productivity benefits projects. These benefits are diverse and varied. Costs can be reduced, schedule performance can be improved, skilled labor shortage can be mitigated, and much more. These last few years, construction sites have undeniably made significant progress through advances in heavy equipment, tools, and materials. But there are still some areas that have strong potential to improve construction productivity such as craft information systems, materials management, and construction methods, which abound of opportunities that just need to be pursued. Innovations represent some of these opportunities, however if established process and practices for managing construction productivity are not effectively utilized and implemented, they are likely to have a little impact on construction productivity. This thesis summarizes a research study which aimed to identify productivity practices that have the most significant positive impact on craft productivity and to document and incorporate them into an implementation resource. Surveys involving over a hundred experts and extensive literature review were used to gather accurate data. Construction industry and civil engineering academic experts were also consulted to accomplish this goal.

Ceramic Craft essentially is beyond the level of aesthetic in practice, with profound cultural background in development history. Therefore Ceramic Craft should not just stay in the level of sensorial perception. It had better to be enriched the aesthetic connotation from its cultural heritage. The research is to study Dingtao Celadon and done by taking in-depth interview mainly and using secondary data collection and literature analysis for complement. With that, the study can attempt to figure out the value of ceramics from the cultural perspective of customer value proposition, and link the customer value proposition to brand value theory, in order to create the brand value of Ceramic Craft and offer the ceramic industry the most possibility of excellent development in depth and width. The study has found that Ceramic Craft can absorb the essence of the culture and form a systematic mechanism of aesthetic interpretation. To buying pretty pottery works is customers’ main purpose. But for customers, collecting ceramic works is not just simple collection and appreciation itself. It has more cultural values to enrich spiritual life behind it through the works. Therefore, to enhance the lifestyle is the customer succeeding work once occupied. It proclaims the customer value proposition from the point of view of culture value for Ceramic Craft. For this reason, brand value is not only consistent with the basic non-functional properties, but also is able to meet conditions of stylish uniqueness of ceramic works to create an effective brand value.

This study aims to create a model for reference for transformations of traditional crafts designs. It takes Liudui’s traditional bamboo curtain crafts as an example to explore the possibilities of transformation design for traditional crafts. The transformation design of traditional crafts is different from the design of new products, and the basis of the design cannot deviate from the original threads. Accordingly, the main goal of this research is to engage in transforming the design of products, which is based on tradition, and to break away from its framework at the same time. The design of creative thinking structure lies in Morphological Analysis, Attribute Listing, and SCAMPER. This research was also supplemented by the Delphi method for expert consultation. Through the checklist, the independent viewpoints of each expert were collected, and from their repeated feedback and aggregation, the recommendations were summarized and finally based on this, simulation designs of bamboo curtains and value assessment and analysis of the value levels were carried out to explore various possibilities of transformation design for bamboo crafts. This study, by taking scholarly discussions and expert opinions and consultations into account, constructs three levels of value in the design of cultural and creative products. The products with different design orientations have different core focuses. Craft design and industrial design products are more focused on the satisfaction of “Practical Level, while creative design products are more focused on “Sensory Level.” Cultural products are more focused on “Spiritual Level,” but creative and cultural products' design does not focus on a single value level, instead, they attempt to balance the multiple values to meet the diverse needs of consumers. Therefore, a well-designed cultural and creative product not only has the value on the practical level but also has the values on the sensory and spiritual levels. The proportion of the three value levels depends on the difference in product design attributes. They can have different focuses, but should not be neglected. The product that can be balanced among the three is the best creative and cultural product. Therefore, it is expected that this study, through the construction of a model of transformation design for bamboo curtain crafts, is able to establish a model of transformation design for products of crafts for reference, hoping that the traditional crafts can not only be based on tradition but also bring consumers a refreshing feeling and revive the past glory.

In the past, Jhushan witnessed the formation of an industrial settlement centered on the region’s production of bamboo. Such settlement can be compared to those in other regions of Taiwan. Although the core groups of skilled senior craftsmen and professional groups still exist Jhushan, the craft industry in Taiwan is facing continued decline in skilled manpower and industrial transformation. In this study, we find that the main factors in the reduced activity of the bamboo craft industry include human aging and the lack of training to develop skills that are difficult to acquire, and craftsmen who have different and more modern design ideas. In current design education, many design students also do not have first-hand knowledge of the materials required for this craft. This lack of finer understanding of the material and construction methods can lead to difficulties in product development. Another source of difficulty in product development is the required compliance with the status of the favorable conditions of supply and demand. With the use of the “Empowerment Model,” craftsmen and designer professionals can work together to provide excellent products. During the process of teaching and learning, students can increase the quality and diversity of their design works. This will also help develop their skills beyond those of the traditional inherited skills, opening a world of new possibilities. Hence, in accordance with the special nature of this craft industry’s needs and its future potential, it is necessary to employ education and the Empowerment Model in the development and construction of bamboo craft. In this study, which introduces the Collaborative Team Teaching (CTT) research approach, we designed a series of activities to reflect the local culture technology value of bamboo weaving. We used the view of young students who specialize in architecture design and skills, specifically the difficulties they face in cultivating their talents in relation to this traditional craft. The research process is divided into three phases as follows: (1) exploration and study of the field though further interviews of locals and field observation activities, and the reconstruction of the sustainability of bamboo craft skills heritage; (2) planning design and creation of CCT to encourage designers and craftsmen to train students together and to explore the feasibility of CTT as a mediator between the profession of design and technology of the craft; and finally, (3) the use of the “empowerment model construction” through a series of observations, study, reflection, and action to participate in exhibition. Inspiring students' interest in the craft can also make them understand the difficulties as well as the opportunity to attract newcomers to engage in this craft. To construct the course of the Empowerment Model, this research proposes the "Sustainability Strategy of Inheritance of Bamboo crafts," which is divided into three parts as follows:(1)Bamboo diversified application strategy, (2) Strategy for promoting craftsmen, (3) Strategy of Artistic commercialization development. By combining bamboo, engineering and skill, we can promote the sustainability of the bamboo craft cultural heritage. Furthermore, developing CCT can increase understanding of the empowerment action and the relationships among all participants, thus improving the overall value of the development approach via education and training. Finally, we can construct “The Bamboo Craft Empowerment Model” through a series of actions that ensure the development and training program execution.
"Constructing national identity : including local craft in the interiors of selected government buildings in postapartheid South Africa." Thesis, 2014. http://hdl.handle.net/10210/8801.
Повний текст джерелаCommissioned public buildings in post-apartheid South Africa exhibit a synergy between local craft and contemporary design in their interiors. Tasked with the design of buildings representative of a democratic South Africa, architects looked to the surrounding communities, recognizing and incorporating local craft skills and products into their designs. The buildings selected as examples for this study are the Mpumalanga Provincial Legislature (2001) in Nelspruit, the Northern Cape Provincial Legislature (2003) in Kimberley, and the Constitutional Court (2004) in Johannesburg. These have been selected as they are the three buildings commissioned after 1994 by the democratically elected South African government. This research aims to determine how national identity has been communicated and represented in the interior design of these public buildings, through the inclusion of local craft. As key public buildinqs of this time there has been considerable research done based on these examples in the field of architecture, notably by the authors Freschi (2006,2007) and Noble (2011), however, no research has been done in the field of interior design. By taking an interpretivist approach, this qualitative study seeks to find meaning and deeper understanding. Data was collected in transcribed interviews, observations in the field as well as a literature review. Qualitative content analysis was used to initiate a comparison between the interior design of the buildings. Through the use of crystallization as a methodology it attempts to offer a thickly described interpretation of three public interiors undertaken in the development of a national design identity. This study could be of interest to interior design students, interior design and architectural professionals undertaking similar projects and government departments interested in this field.

In recent years, tourism flourishing combined with hand-made culture of teaching. DIY (Do It Yourself) has been widely applied in the planning of the trip. Industrial Development Bureau, Ministry of Economic Affairs promulgated "factory job elements concurrently tour" in 2003 to encourage local industries and cultural traditions in manufacturing integrated tourism service, also revealed the importance of DIY self-evaluation of its specification. In view of this, how will the culture into DIY activities through creative design and high customer recognition of experience goods to achieve marketing purposes, became a common topic of industrial, product design, tourism and cultural and creative marketing four major areas of management. This study investigates DIY products by the content analysis method, and then extracts the experiential value of the visitors participating DIY through in-depth interview. Also, this study applies the heoretical basis of the experiential value to combine different points of view including customer behavior, local innovation and cultural value to explore the value elements to set evaluation index and value facets. Furthermore, the questionnaire in this study is detected by expert content validity, and final decisions take AHP output weights. Afterwards by major facets ” experiential quality” and ” emotion acquisition” and minor facets ” function and price” and ” social and service” that construct a set of experiential value assessment model of the DIY product, with “playfulness” the evaluation index exercised most powerful influence. The result indicated three key points. First, intangible harvest is higher than the tangible income. Secong, the value of experience is dominated by self-awareness of tourists. Third, range of goods should be expanded to comprehensive services. That provides industry stakeholders with reference for decision-making.
