Анотація:
Beamtrees are a new method for the visualization of large hierarchical data sets, such as directory structures and organization structures. Nodes are shown as stacked circular beams such that both the hierarchical structure as well as the size of nodes are depicted. The dimensions of beams are calculated using a variation of the treemap algorithm. Both a two-dimensional and a three-dimensional variant are presented. A small user study indicated that beamtrees are significantly more effective than nested treemaps and cushion treemaps for the extraction of global hierarchical information.

Abstract We present the ggtreeExtra package for visualizing heterogeneous data with a phylogenetic tree in a circular or rectangular layout (https://www.bioconductor.org/packages/ggtreeExtra). The package supports more data types and visualization methods than other tools. It supports using the grammar of graphics syntax to present data on a tree with richly annotated layers and allows evolutionary statistics inferred by commonly used software to be integrated and visualized with external data. GgtreeExtra is a universal tool for tree data visualization. It extends the applications of the phylogenetic tree in different disciplines by making more domain-specific data to be available to visualize and interpret in the evolutionary context.

Анотація:
GRP94, an ER paralog of the heat-shock protein 90 family, binds and hydrolyses ATP to chaperone the folding and maturation of its selected clients. Compared with other hsp90 proteins, the in-solution conformational dynamics of GRP94 along the ATP hydrolysis cycle are less understood, hindering our understanding of its chaperoning mechanism. Leveraging small-angle X-ray scattering, negative-staining EM, and hydrogen–deuterium exchange coupled mass-spec, here we show that in its apo form, ∼60% of mouse GRP94 (mGRP94) populates an “extended” conformation, whereas the rest exist in either “close V” or “twist V” like “compact” conformations. Different from other hsp90 proteins, the presence of AMPPNP only impacts the relative abundance of the two compact conformations, rather than shifting the equilibrium between the “extended” and “compact” conformations of mGRP94. HDX-MS study of apo, AMPPNP-bound, and ADP-bound mGRP94 suggests a conformational transition from “twist V” to “close V” upon ATP binding and a back transition from “close V” to “twist V” upon ATP hydrolysis. These results illustrate the dissimilarities of GRP94 in conformation transition during ATP hydrolysis from other hsp90 paralogs.

AbstractWe present three Virtual Observatory tools developed at the Australia Telescope National Facility (ATNF) for the storage, processing and visualization of Australia Telescope Compact Array (ATCA) data. These are the Australia Telescope Online Archive, a prototype data-reduction pipeline, and the Remote Visualization System. These tools were developed in the context of the Virtual Observatory and were intended to be both useful for astronomers and technology demonstrators. We discuss the design and implementation of these tools, as well as issues that should be considered when developing similar systems for future telescopes.

Spreadsheets are a ubiquitous data analysis tool, empowering non-programmers and programmers alike to easily express their computations by writing formulae alongside data. The dependencies created by formulae are tracked as formula graphs, which play a central role in many spreadsheet applications and are critical to the interactivity and usability of spreadsheet systems. Unfortunately, as formula graphs become large and complex, it becomes harder for end-users to make sense of formula graphs and trace the dependents or precedents of cells to check the accuracy of individual formulae and identify sources of errors. In this paper, we demonstrate a spreadsheet formula graph visualization tool, TACO-Lens, developed as a plugin for Microsoft Excel. Our plugin leverages TACO, our framework for compactly and efficiently representing formula graphs. TACO compresses formula graphs using a key spreadsheet property: tabular locality, which means that cells close to each other are likely to have similar formula structures. This compact representation enables end-users to more easily consume complex dependencies and reduces the response time for tracing dependents and precedents. TACO-Lens, our visualization plugin, depicts the compact representation of TACO and supports users in visually tracing dependents and precedents. In this demonstration, attendees can compare the visualizations of different formula graphs using TACO, Excel's built-in dependency tracing tool, and an approach that does not compress formula graphs, and quantitatively compare the different response time of different approaches.

Abstract We present an overview of the diagnostics screens stations - named SSTs - of the ThomX compact Compton source. ThomX is a compact light source based on Compton backscattering. It features a linac and a storage ring in which the electrons have an energy of 50 MeV. Each SST is composed of three screens, a YAG:Ce screen and an Optical Transition Radiation (OTR) screen for transverse measurements and a calibration target for magnification and resolution characterisation. The optical system is based on commercial lenses that have been reverse-engineered. An Arduino is used to control both the aperture and the focus remotely, while the magnification must be modified using an external motor. We report on the overall performance of the station as measured during the first steps of beam commissioning and on the optical system remote operations.

To analyze and visualize biological networks are hot in bioinformatics. Fast grid layout is a new highly efficient visualization algorithm that has advantages in generating compact layouts with biologically comprehensible modules of biochemical networks. The time complexity analyses are very important to visualization algorithm research. In this paper, we estimated analytically the time complexity of fast grid layout in detail. Experiment results for biological networks of different sizes testified the estimate. Compared with original grid layout, we also discussed the main reasons of ensuring good performance of fast grid layout.

In this paper, a mathematical model is developed to make possible the simulation of microalgae growth and its dependency on medium temperature and light intensity. The model is utilized to simulate a compact photobioreactor response in time with physicochemical parameters of the microalgae Phaeodactylum tricornutum. The model allows for the prediction of the transient and local evolution of the biomass concentration in the photobioreactor with low computational time. As a result, the model is expected to be a useful tool for simulation, design, and optimization of compact photobioreactors. Numerical solutions of the mathematical model are presented for the visualization of biomass concentration and total production. Several simulations were performed with temperatures ranging from 274 K to 300 K , and the maximum biomass production was achieved with an operating temperature of 294 K.

The purpose of the paper is the theoretical justification for the use of information visualization with the use services of cloud technology in educational process secondary school. Object of research supports the educational process in secondary school. The object is to use visualization training information with the use services of cloud technology. The feasibility of the use of these technologies in education due to their compliance psychological peculiarities inherent in the present generation of students and the need for a compact representation of the training material in the manner most convenient to its perception, understanding, learning and remembering. It is shown that the use of visualization develops cognitive interest of students, makes it possible to create a positive emotional atmosphere in the classroom and facilitates implementation of intersubject connections in learning. However, visualization is a powerful didactic tool, the use of which has to be motivated, pedagogically appropriate methodically backed up. In our opinion, the problem of training of future teachers to effective use of technology of visualization in teaching activities is a perspective direction for further research.

Previously, only cumbersome integral expressions were known, rendering them practically useless. Анотація:
Automating parts of game creation benefits both professional and amateur game designers and much previous work has already made progress on this front. In this paper we tackle automating level design. We describe a general graph-based representation for game levels and present a preliminary system that leverages this representation. Our system automatically explores existing levels of a 2D platform game using the rapidly-exploring random tree (RRT) algorithm and constructs a compact graph representation from this exploration. Our system can also modify a graph representation on-the-fly to reflect user-directed changes to the existing level structure. This work constitutes an initial step toward the larger goal of automating level design in a general way.

AbstractAs an extreme kind of environment, Hickson Compact groups (HCGs) have shown to be very complex systems. HI-VLA observations revealed an intrincated network of HI tails and bridges, tracing pre-processing through extreme tidal interactions. We found HCGs to show a large HI deficiency supporting an evolutionary sequence where gas-rich groups transform via tidal interactions and ISM (interstellar medium) stripping into gas-poor systems. We detected as well a diffuse HI component in the groups, increasing with evolutionary phase, although with uncertain distribution. The complex net of detected HI as observed with the VLA seems hence so puzzling as the missing one. In this talk we revisit the existing VLA information on the HI distribution and kinematics of HCGs by means of X3D visualization. X3D constitutes a powerful tool to extract the most from HI data cubes and a mean of simplifying and easing the access to data visualization and publication via three-dimensional (3-D) diagrams.

This study was aimed to develop an environmental-friendly fingerprint visualization using turmeric herb. The turmeric powder size was in the range of 60-200 mesh. The dusting method was done by applying turmeric powder to glass surface, aluminum foil, transparent plastic, plastic cups and compact disk (CD) surfaces that have sebum content from fingerprint samples. This study was also compared with the small particle reagent (SPR) of ninhydrin. The SPR method was done by spraying ninhydrin solution on A4 white paper and doorslag paper. The results of this study indicated that form of fingerprint obtained has the following pattern: radial loop (16.6 %), ulnar loop (63.3 %), tented arch (1.6 %), twinted loop (1.6 %) and plain whorl (16.6 %). The results showed that the turmeric powder dusting method gave a low contrast with yellow colour while ninhydrin SPR provides high contrast with Ruhemann’s purple.

Abstract Slow flow of a single fluid through a porous medium is well understood on a macroscopic level through Darcy’s law, a linear relation between flow rate and a combination of pressure differences, viscosity, and gravitational forces. Two-phase flow is complicated by the interface separating the fluids, but understanding of two-dimensional, two-phase flow has been obtained from experiments using transparent cells. In most three-dimensional media, however, visual observation is difficult. Here, we present preliminary results of experiments on a model medium consisting of randomly packed glass spheres, in which one fluorescent liquid invades another. By refractive index matching and scanning with a sheet-shaped laser beam, we obtain slices of the flow patterns, which we combine into three-dimensional pictures. We observe a compact region of invading fluid, surrounded by finger-like protrusions. The compact region becomes more dominant with increasing invader flow rate. The patterns are theoretically analyzed in terms of the interplay between gravitational, viscous, and capillary forces.

Employing a minimalist design approach, the scooter achieves an aesthetically appealing, simple, and futuristic appearance. The primary objective of this project is to propose a practical and compact electric scooter design by utilizing CATIA V5 software for modelling and ANSYS for required calculations and SolidWorks for visualization,A design that not only enhances efficiency for short-distance travels but also effectively mitigates issues related to traffic congestion and limited parking space.

Clustering is an important technique for understanding of large multidimensional datasets. Most of clustering research to date has been focused on developing automatic clustering algorithms and cluster validation methods. The automatic algorithms are known to work well in dealing with clusters of regular shapes, for example, compact spherical shapes, but may incur higher error rates when dealing with arbitrarily shaped clusters. Although some efforts have been devoted to addressing the problem of skewed datasets, the problem of handling clusters with irregular shapes is still in its infancy, especially in terms of dimensionality of the datasets and the precision of the clustering results considered. Not surprisingly, the statistical indices works ineffective in validating clusters of irregular shapes, too. In this paper, we address the problem of clustering and validating arbitrarily shaped clusters with a visual framework (VISTA). The main idea of the VISTA approach is to capitalize on the power of visualization and interactive feedbacks to encourage domain experts to participate in the clustering revision and clustering validation process. The VISTA system has two unique features. First, it implements a linear and reliable visualization model to interactively visualize multi-dimensional datasets in a 2D star-coordinate space. Second, it provides a rich set of user-friendly interactive rendering operations, allowing users to validate and refine the cluster structure based on their visual experience as well as their domain knowledge.

Abstract We introduce a compact scanning laser microscope that is applicable for direct visualization of dissipative electric structures in solid state systems. In order to overcome the disturbing influence of any background radiation, the shielded sample cryostage incorporates the complete microscope consisting of a laser diode, the deflection unit, and the focussing optics. Our imaging method provides access to a class of nonlinear transport phenomena that so far have eluded unperturbed observation.

If the software system exists without its domain model and documentation it is time-consuming to understand its behavior and structure only from the code. Reverse Engineering (RE) tools can be used for obtaining behavior and structure of the software system from source code. After that the domain model can be created. A short overview and an example of obtaining the domain model, Topological Functioning Model (TFM), from source code are provided in the paper. Positive and negative effects of the process of TFM backward derivation are also discussed.

When viewed from distance, large parts of the topography of landmasses and the bathymetry of the sea and ocean floor can be regarded as a smooth background with local features. Consequently a digital elevation model combining a compact smooth representation of the background with locally added features has the potential of providing a compact and accurate representation for topography and bathymetry. The recent introduction of Locally Refined B-Splines (LR B-splines) allows the granularity of spline representations to be locally adapted to the complexity of the smooth shape approximated. This allows few degrees of freedom to be used in areas with little variation, while adding extra degrees of freedom in areas in need of more modelling flexibility. In the EU fp7 Integrating Project IQmulus we exploit LR B-splines for approximating large point clouds representing bathymetry of the smooth sea and ocean floor. A drastic reduction is demonstrated in the bulk of the data representation compared to the size of input point clouds. The representation is very well suited for exploiting the power of GPUs for visualization as the spline format is transferred to the GPU and the triangulation needed for the visualization is generated on the GPU according to the viewing parameters. The LR B-splines are interoperable with other elevation model representations such as LIDAR data, raster representations and triangulated irregular networks as these can be used as input to the LR B-spline approximation algorithms. Output to these formats can be generated from the LR B-spline applications according to the resolution criteria required. The spline models are well suited for change detection as new sensor data can efficiently be compared to the compact LR B-spline representation.

We study for the first time how a new class of stars could impact an ensemble of pulsars with known masses and spin-periods. These new compact objects are strange stars admixed with condensed dark matter (DM). In this exploratory theoretical work, our goal is to determine how the basic parameters of pulsars are modified for such a new class of compact objects. In particular, we consider three different scenarios that correspond to a DM mass fraction of [Formula: see text], [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text]. Within each scenario with fixed parameters, we predict theoretically other properties of the pulsars, such as the radius, the compactness, the moment of inertia, as well as the angular momentum. Our numerical results are summarized in tables and also shown graphically for better visualization, where a comparison between the different scenarios can be made.

The relevance of the study was determined by a tendency to diversify the graphic forms of data presentation, with new complex data visualizations being used more and more often alongside the usual sector or column charts in journalistic articles. In this regard, issues related to the study of the functional and perceptual characteristics of various types of diagrams are becoming actualized in the theoretical plane of social communications. The article outlines the specifics of displaying hierarchical structures using treemaps (tree maps, hierarchical maps) taking into account the features of media content. The purpose of the research is to identify and characterize the peculiarities of treemaps as a type of visual representation of hierarchical data in online media publications. The primary research method was quantitative content analysis. Selective statistical observation was used to collect empirical data. The study sample is 85 treemaps published in The New York Times, The Washington Post, Visual Capitalist, VC Elements, BBC, Financial Times, and The Wall Street Journal during 2018–2022. Historical and comparative-descriptive methods were additional research methods. The article examines four types of treemaps: Rectangular Treemap, Circular Treemap, Voronoi Treemap, and Sunburst. We found out that rectangular treemaps are most often used in the media because they are compact and effectively demonstrate the parts of a whole. Voronoi treemaps are also often used. The article also outlines the thematic spectrum of treemaps in the media. Quantitative analysis showed that treemaps are used in media to highlight financial, economic, industrial, and energy-related topics, much fewer visualizations of this type are related to politics, society, and ecology. In addition, the functional advantages and disadvantages of treemaps are summarized, and a list of basic visualization principles is formed, the observance of which will contribute to increasing the effectiveness of communication and simplifying the process of interpreting a visual message by the recipient.

Left ventricular non-compaction (LVNC) is characterized by hypertrabecularity (thickened non-compact layer) with deep intertrabecular recesses that are continuous with the ventricle cavity, and a thin compact layer. The phenotypes of LVNС are extremely variable: the left or right ventricular variant, biventricular form, LVNC with symptoms of heart failure or arrhythmia, asymptomatic forms or variants with thromboembolic events. In 30–50 % of patients with LVNC genetic mutations of genes encoding sarcomeric or cytoskeletal proteins are revealed by a genetic study. The article presents a literature review on the problems of diagnosis, visualization, pathogenesis, variability of clinical manifestations of LVNC and its genetic heterogeneity. Clinical cases demonstrating LVNC as a concomitant anatomical syndrome due to monogenic Danone disease, as well as the family cardiomyopathy with the digenic inheritance of two phenotypes (LVNC with DCM) and the unique case of peripartum evolution of the acquired LVNC syndrome, all these cases are reflect the current uncertainty regarding to the pathogenesis and significance of LVNC. The main question is whether LVNC is a distinct cardiomyopathy or a morphologic trait and a composite anatomical syndrome of congenital heart disease or other cardiomyopathies (DCM, HCM, ARVC) remains controversial. Achievement of professional consensus guidelines about unification of diagnostic criteria and risk-stratification of LVNC, improvement of visualization tools and expansion of genetic testing will help to significantly expand our knowledge and understanding of the pathogenesis, clinical significance and prognosis of LVNC for optimization of the treatment strategy

Protection of spacecraft from high-speed impact when encountering meteorite particles and man-made debris is currently a pressing issue. This article presents methods for determining the reaction of complex structures to the impact of particles with cosmic velocities. To determine the anti-meteorite resistance of materials and structures and to study the reaction of materials under high-intensity shock loading, schemes are developed for the production and registration of high-speed metal compact elements moving at hypersonic speeds using cumulative explosive throwing devices based on high-power condensed explosives. The use of the ‘hemisphere-cylinder’ shaped lining made it possible to test a shaped charge, consistently forming a steel compact element with a velocity of 6 km/s. The paper presents the results of numerical calculations and experimental testing of such a booster. Using this device, a method for determining the speed of the hypersonic striker pin is developed based on visualization of the head shock wave at the entrance of the striker into water.

Comparing mobile eye tracking data from multiple participants without information about areas of interest (AOIs) is challenging because of individual timing and coordinate systems. We present a technique, the gaze spiral, that visualizes individual recordings based on image content of the stimulus. The spiral layout of the slitscan visualization is used to create a compact representation of scanpaths. The visualization provides an overview of multiple recordings even for long time spans and helps identify and annotate recurring patterns within recordings. The gaze spirals can also serve as glyphs that can be projected to 2D space based on established scanpath metrics in order to interpret the metrics and identify groups of similar viewing behavior. We present examples based on two egocentric datasets to demonstrate the effectiveness of our approach for annotation and comparison tasks. Our examples show that the technique has the potential to let users compare even long-term recordings of pervasive scenarios without manual annotation.

Understanding human movement patterns is of fundamental importance in transportation planning and management. We propose to examine complex public transit travel patterns over a large-scale transit network, which is challenging since it involves thousands of transit passengers and massive data from heterogeneous sources. Additionally, efficient representation and visualization of discovered travel patterns is difficult given a large number of transit trips. To address these challenges, this study leverages advanced machine learning methods to identify time-varying mobility patterns based on smart card data and other urban data. The proposed approach delivers a comprehensive solution to pre-process, analyze, and visualize complex public transit travel patterns. This approach first fuses smart card data with other urban data to reconstruct original transit trips. We use two machine learning methods, including a clustering algorithm to extract transit corridors to represent primary mobility connections between different regions and a graph-embedding algorithm to discover hierarchical mobility community structures. We also devise compact and effective multi-scale visualization forms to represent the discovered travel behavior dynamics. An interactive web-based mapping prototype is developed to integrate advanced machine learning methods with specific visualizations to characterize transit travel behavior patterns and to enable visual exploration of transit mobility patterns at different scales and resolutions over space and time. The proposed approach is evaluated using multi-source big transit data (e.g., smart card data, transit network data, and bus trajectory data) collected in Shenzhen City, China. Evaluation of our prototype demonstrates that the proposed visual analytics approach offers a scalable and effective solution for discovering meaningful travel patterns across large metropolitan areas.

Terahertz radiation is very promising for visualization, detection and data transfer. Searching for sensitive, fast and compact THz detector that operates at room temperature is a common subject for these applications. Hence, there is still an issue of searching for new materials for THz radiation detection. Solid solutions based on thermoelectric bismuth and antimony appear to have significant potential for these applications. In this paper photoresponse of thermoelectric material Bi88Sb12 has been studied for the first time. Films with thicknesses of 70 and 150 nm were studied under influence of radiation at frequency of 0.14 THz.

AbstractIndustrial design processes can be described as human design problem solving, incorporating the acquisition, evaluation, production and transfer of specific knowledge. In this paper, we will describe the connection and interaction between visualization and reasoning during different stages of the design process. Thereby we focus on three early stages of this process: clarifying the task, concepting and designing an overall solution.This paper provides a rather general description of design processes and more detailed remarks on design knowledge and design actions. It specifically focuses on design concepts as visual key elements in industrial design processes. We will address the importance of externalization and visualization as means for thinking and knowledge generation and transfer in industrial design in general.The design process is described as an interplay of the parallel and iterative developments of three domains: knowledge, concept and design. In contrast to linear schemes, this paper proposes a design process scheme focusing on iterative circles and parallel processing possibilities. Industrial design knowledge will be described and compared to relevant knowledge in other disciplines, in particular, engineering design knowledge. We will describe the strong link between the designer's individual biographies, design knowledge and the outcome of design processes.Design concepts will be discussed as extremely compact representations of core characteristics of the artifacts to be designed, serving as a guide to the design process.Design actions as described in this paper are characterized by the simultaneous occurrence of thought and externalization processes. Different kinds of visualization are discussed in regard of their role in reasoning during industrial design processes.This paper concludes by sketching two perspectives. One addresses the need for interdisciplinary research on new visualization tools with regard to human reasoning in design processes. The second one gives an impression of how visualization tools and methods of industrial design can supplement other disciplines.

Vacuum metal deposition was introduced in the process of visualization of latent fingermarks already in the 20th century. However, due to the requirement of using specialist equipment to ensure appropriate conditions for the development process, which would have generated significant costs, the method was not available in Poland. Technological developments, however, made it possible to create compact devices with smaller dimensions and lower parameters, which, nowadays, can be used in virtually every forensic fingerprint identification laboratory. The article describes the theoretical basis of the process of developing fingerprints by means of the vacuum metal deposition method with the use of sequential deposition of gold, zinc and silver on the tested surfaces. The device used for the VMD method is also presented along with sample effects of treating fingerprints on various surfaces, including registration in the range of reflected infrared light and with recovering marks on lifting foils. The final part deals with the issue of accrediting forensic service providers performing fingerprint examinations, including problems related to the implementation of vacuum metal deposition in the range of accredited fingerprint visualization techniques.

Saskatchewan Torus-Modified (STOR-M) is a small tokamak, well known for various fusion-related basic experimental studies such as edge turbulent heating, different instabilities, Alternating Current (AC) tokamak operation, Ohmic H-mode triggering by the electrode biasing, fueling and momentum injection by Compact Torus (CT) injection, and the effects of Resonance Magnetic Perturbations (RMPs), among others. Some of those experiments require real-time visualization of magnetic surface reconstructions either through EFIT or quick analyses and visualization of experimental data during experiments. Recently, experimental studies of Geodesic Acoustic Mode (GAM) and zonal flows were performed in the STOR-M tokamak. The GAM experiments strongly require the collection of fluctuation data from different Langmuir probes installed at different poloidal locations, but on the same magnetic surfaces. This is requires the adjustment of radial locations between discharges. It is therefore important to analyze and visualize the features of all probe data quickly during discharges. For this purpose, a Python code was developed and used for quick analysis of the data. This article describes the development of the code using Python and its use in detail.

Molecular visualization is fundamental in the current scientific literature, textbooks and dissemination materials. It provides an essential support for presenting results, reasoning on and formulating hypotheses related to molecular structure. Tools for visual exploration of structural data have become easily accessible on a broad variety of platforms thanks to advanced software tools that render a great service to the scientific community. These tools are often developed across disciplines bridging computer science, biology and chemistry. This mini-review was written as a short and compact overview for scientists who need to visualize protein structures and want to make an informed decision which tool they should use. Here, we first describe a few ‘Swiss Army knives’ geared towards protein visualization for everyday use with an existing large user base, then focus on more specialized tools for peculiar needs that are not yet as broadly known. Our selection is by no means exhaustive, but reflects a diverse snapshot of scenarios that we consider informative for the reader. We end with an account of future trends and perspectives.

Summary Objectives: Computerized anatomical 3D atlases allow interactive exploration of the human anatomy and make it easy for the user to comprehend complex 3D structures and spatial interrelationships among organs. Besides the anatomy of one reference body inter-individual shape variations of organs in a population are of interest as well. In this paper, a new framework for representation and visualization of 3D shape variability of anatomical objects within an interactive 3D atlas is presented. Methods: In the VOXEL-MAN atlases realistic 3D visualizations of organs in high quality are generated for educational purposes using volume-based object representations. We extended the volume-based representation of organs to enable the 3D visualization of organs’ shape variability in the atlas. Therefore, the volume-based representation of the inner organs in the atlas is combined with a medial representation of organs of a population creating a compact description of shape variability. Results: With the framework developed different shape variations of an organ can be visualized within the context of a volume-based anatomical model. Using shape models of the kidney and the breathing lung as examples we demonstrate new possibilities such an approach offers for medical education. Furthermore, attributes like gender, age or pathology as well as shape attributes are assigned to each shape variant which can be used for selecting specific organs of the population. Conclusions: The inclusion of anatomical variability in a 3D interactive atlas presents considerable challenges, since such a system offers the chance to explore how anatomical structures vary in large populations, across age, gender and races, and in different disease states. The framework presented is a basis for the development of specialized variability atlases that focus e.g. on specific regions of the human body, groups of organs or specific topics of interest.
