This study investigates the relationships between procedural justice, interactional justice, leader-member exchange, and job satisfaction in Lebanese small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Grounded in the Social Exchange Theory, the research explores how fairness perceptions and gender influence leader-member relationships and employee satisfaction during crises. Using data from 1,127 participants in Lebanese SMEs, structural equation modeling was employed for analysis. Results reveal that interactional justice positively impacts leader-member exchange, fostering strong ties through fair and respectful treatment. Surprisingly, procedural justice does not exhibit a direct positive effect on leader-member exchange, implying contextual factors may override procedural fairness. Moreover, leader-member exchange significantly enhances job satisfaction, highlighting the importance of positive leadership in promoting employee well-being. However, contrary to hypotheses, leader-member exchange does not mediate the relationship between procedural justice and job satisfaction. Gender is not a significant moderator of relationships between procedural justice, interactional justice, leader-member exchange, and job satisfaction, suggesting universal relevance within Lebanese SMEs. Theoretical implications from the Social Exchange Theory stress the need for fair communication and personalized leadership styles to build trust and positive relationships. Managerial implications underscore adopting gender-inclusive and responsive approaches, alongside crisis management strategies prioritizing procedural and interactional justice, for fostering resilience in organizations. Keywords: procedural justice, interactional justice, leader-member exchange, job satisfaction, gender-inclusive, Lebanese SMEs

This research is concerned with the factors that determine the internal communication in the Libyan public companies. Through this research, the researcher concentrates on the study of internal communication in administration affaires in these companies as sectors which use the internal communication more than other administration at the same companies. Ln addition to the role that play by the administration affaires in the management of the human resources in these public companies. This thesis tries to analyze the following issues: 1) Does the construction of organizational Libyan companies allow developing the internal communication and does it determine the professional relations between employees? 2) Does the informal relations such as the use of the kinship and friendship relations and spread rumours, etc. , inside these companies (in connection with the tribal constitution of Libyan society), lead to the deformation of communication between the employees. 3) Are the means adopted by the managers of these companies to create a favourable work environment involved in improving interaction and communication between them and employees? 4) Are the managers and the employees not qualified enough to carry out effective internal communication in the use of information and exchange relations between them? This study is based on the approach of the Palo Alto school, which analyzes the process of communication as messages and relationships between individuals. What is important in this approach according to the view of the researcher is the operation of interaction. This exchange in the communication process allows us to deal with the communication in Libyan public companies as content and a relationship

The usage of groupware (software used by groups) has spread in all economic activities causing profound changes on three levels: organization, professionalism and relations. Our study, took place in Lebanon, aiming to observe, describe and analyze the effects of groupware on different domains: exert of power, types of communication, collaboration, resistance to change, etc. We have attempted to explore and to illustrate this phenomenon in two parts. The first consists of an inventory of existent literature. It builds a theoretical frame by emphasizing on basic concepts of organizations sociology and by exposing some researches on groupware in Europe and the United States. The second presents the results of our empirical study performed on 158 users in eight Lebanese organizations. The main instruments used for data collection are document analysis, interviews and observation in situ
Harfouche, Rima. "La médiatisation des associations humanitaires au Liban : entre le politique et le religieux." Thesis, Paris 2, 2015. http://www.theses.fr/2015PA020052.
The purpose of this thesis is to examine media coverage of humanitarian organizations in Lebanon, based on the study of media productions of three organizations between 2009 and 2011. The first part highlights the evolution of humanitarian action, its objectives and its communication strategies. The art of rhetoric, image supremacy and human testimony contribute to the legitimization of the organization. The second part focuses on the means of rendering the association more visible. A thorough analysis of an association’s media productions reveals that the related framing put in place several processes to assert its identity, its mission and its religious and political engagement. The third part deals with different methods of the organizations’ attractions and their resonances within the written media. The study is conducted on the basis of visual, verbal and audio components of these media productions that trigger the mechanism of mirror neurons and identification with the victims. The analysis shows that the act of scenarizing humanitarian activities by the press causes a pathemisation of the public opinion resulting in the adherence to the association and to its political and religious beliefs
