Повний текст джерелаThis study is in the field of designing helicopter control laws. Designers must tune the gains of these laws in order to meet as much as possible Handling Qualities requirements from ADS-33. This standard translates these requirements in terms of Flying Qualities requirements. Then, we can evaluate the quality of the stability, of the quickness, and of the ability of the machine to follow the inputs from the pilot. Apart from an interactive optimization technique developed at NASA and US Army over the last 40 years, no appropriate method exists to solve this problem. Then, empirical iterative tunings are led. ONERA addresses this issue through a structured methodological approach. The aim of the thesis is to develop this methodology, taking into account two additional constraints compared with the capabilities of usual synthesis methods used in automatics: the capability to deal with the constraints from the control law structures and with the Handling Qualities requirements from the ADS-33 standards. A technique is developed to improve the Flying Qualities using sensitivity studies between gains and criteria. Then, a methodology to initialize the gains is developed, through the creation and the efficient usage of new Flying Qualities-based charts for equivalent simplified models. In order to improve the efficiency of the initial tuning, two additional constraints are taken into account (uncoupling and energy). Thus, a complete full procedure of tuning is proposed: initialization, linear adjustment and non linear adjustment

Повний текст джерелаThis thesis concerning integration and control of renewable energy sources in systems of power generation and energy storage. The hybrid system studied consists of a wind generator, a diesel generator, photovoltaic panels and lead acid batteries for supplying continuous loads. All these sources are interfaced with the power electronics in aims to maintain the DC bus voltage to a reference value for supplying correctly the load demand. In this study we have done the model of the multisource system by using a hybrid nonlinear state space representation that uses discrete and continuous variables. Discrete variables are the contacts used to connect power converters on the DC bus. Continuous variables represent voltage and current to satisfy the load. We then developed a hierarchical control strategy which is used to regulate the voltage of the DC bus, to adjust the power rate extracted from the sources and to connect or disconnect the converter associated with sources according to criteria of energy availability. The control laws of power converters and the energy transfer management methods are developed from a study of the technological characteristics of different components of the system on one hand and information of the duty cycle value on the other. The duty cycle is a correlation measure between the source and the load. Its variations depend on the power extracted of the source. We showed that it was a priority decision variable in optimization energy of multi-source systems and operations can reduce the necessary instrumentation to control the installation. Following the methodological work, we are realized the power electronic converters and the acquiring system (and measuring). We are also validated our approach with experimental results that show the effectiveness of the strategy proposed for the energy management and the control of power converters

Повний текст джерелаThis work concerns the definition of fuzzy systems and the synthesis of fuzzy controllers. The introduced matrix notation unifies in the same formalism, in order to facilitate its computer's implementation, all the stages to design fuzzy system. A systematic and rigorous study of standard fuzzy PID led us to propose two new architectures of fuzzy regulators : Fuzzy-PI, and Fuzzy-PID which present an excellent dynamic behaviour. Tuning parameters is the principal difficulty encountered during fuzzy PID implementation. Basic knowledge of controlled system, and the use of methodology we have defined to synthesis fuzzy regulators allows to autotune the proposed fuzzy regulators. All the developed tools, associated to a fuzzy estimator, are applied in the Fuzzy Vectorial Control by Indirect Rotor Flux Orientation of asynchronous machine. The results obtained show the interest of our approach

Повний текст джерелаThe marine environment is a very hostile setting for robotics. It is strongly unstructured, very uncertain and includes a lot of external disturbances which cannot be easily predicted or modelled. In this work, we will try to control an autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) in order to perform a waypoint tracking task, using a machine learning-based controller. Machine learning allowed to make impressive progress in a lot of different domain in the recent years, and the subfield of deep reinforcement learning managed to design several algorithms very suitable for the continuous control of dynamical systems. We chose to implement the Soft Actor-Critic (SAC) algorithm, an entropy-regularized deep reinforcement learning algorithm allowing to fulfill a learning task and to encourage the exploration of the environment simultaneously. We compared a SAC-based controller with a Proportional-Integral-Derivative (PID) controller on a waypoint tracking task and using specific performance metrics. All the tests were performed in simulation thanks to the use of the UUV Simulator. We decided to apply these two controllers to the RexROV 2, a six degrees of freedom cube-shaped remotely operated underwater vehicle (ROV) converted in an AUV. Thanks to these tests, we managed to propose several interesting contributions such as making the SAC achieve an end-to-end control of the AUV, outperforming the PID controller in terms of energy saving, and reducing the amount of information needed by the SAC algorithm. Moreover we propose a methodology for the training of deep reinforcement learning algorithms on control tasks, as well as a discussion about the absence of guidance algorithms for our end-to-end AUV controller
