ResumenEn este artículo se presenta una experiencia educativa basada en la combinación de la clase inversa y el aprendizaje experiencial en los siguientes temas: hidrología e irrigación. Se han desarrollado herramientas multimedia alojadas en la plataforma edpuzzle para la preparación de clases magistrales y prácticas reales de manejo de riego llevadas a cabo en el laboratorio de hidráulica y riegos. La plataforma referida permite crear o reutilizar materiales interactivos que requieren la participación de los estudiantes ya que las preguntas se intercalan en los videos proporcionando una primera evaluación de desempeño por parte del alumno, válida para diseñar prácticas por el docente. También proporciona información y nivel de comparación para la evaluación del desempeño una vez realizada la práctica. Después de ver los videos y contestar a las preguntas, los estudiantes han hecho prácticas en el laboratorio y asistido a las clases magistrales con el material de apoyo proporcionado por los docentes. Una de las ventajas de la metodología empleada conocida como clase inversa es que reduce precisamente el tiempo dedicado a las clases magistrales ya que éstas se realizan a través de los videos. Este tiempo ganado se puede dedicar a poner en práctica los conocimientos teóricos, a resolver dudas y a realizar prácticas en el laboratorio. Todo ello encaminado a lograr un aprendizaje significativo. Por último, se han sometido los alumnos a un proceso de evaluación vinculado a la valoración inicial recogida de material audiovisual. La experiencia ha demostrado la validez de la metodología, su capacidad para proporcionar información útil para el diseño físico de la práctica por parte del profesor y las clases magistrales y una mejora en el uso potencial de las prácticas por los estudiantes involucrados.AbstractIn this paper an educational experience is presented based on the combination of flipped classroom methodology and experiential learning in the following subjects: hydrology and irrigation. The approach has been the development of hosted multimedia tools in the edpuzzle platform for the preparation of master classes and actual management practices of irrigation conducted in the hydraulic and irrigation laboratory. The platform referred allows creating or reusing interactive materials requiring student participation as questions are interspersed in the videos providing a first performance evaluation by the student, valid for designing practices by the teacher and gives information and comparison level for performance evaluation once the practice is made. After viewing videos and answering questions students have done practices in the laboratory with the support material provided by teachers. One advantage of the methodology known as flipped classroom is precisely reducing the time spent on lectures as they are carried through the videos. This gained time can be devoted to implement the theoretical knowledge, to answer questions and perform laboratory practices. All aimed at achieving meaningful learning. In the end, students have undergone an evaluation process linked to the initial assessment collected from audiovisual material. Experience has shown the validity of the methodology, its ability to provide useful information for the physical design of the practice and for the master classes by the teacher and an improvement in the potential use of practices by the students involved.

Imbalanced classes in multi-classed datasets is one of the most salient hindrances to the accuracy and dependable results of predictive modeling. In predictions, there are always majority and minority classes, and in most cases it is difficult to capture the members of item belonging to the minority classes. This anomaly is traceable to the designs of the predictive algorithms because most algorithms do not factor in the unequal numbers of classes into their designs and implementations. The accuracy of most modeling processes is subjective to the ever-present consequences of the imbalanced classes. This paper employs the variance ranking technique to deal with the real-world class imbalance problem. We augmented this technique using one-versus-all re-coding of the multi-classed datasets. The proof-of-concept experimentation shows that our technique performs better when compared with the previous work done on capturing small class members in multi-classed datasets.

LAND USE CAPACITY, SOIL CONSERVATION AND AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTION: case study on sub-basin Ribeirão Caçús, Alfenas – MGCAPACIDAD DE USO DE LA TIERRA, CONSERVACIÓN DEL SUELO Y PRODUCCIÓN AGRÍCOLA: estudio de caso de la cuenca Ribeirão Caçús, Alfenas - MGRESUMOA definição das classes de uso das terras é um instrumento de adequação do uso do solo em propriedades rurais e bacias hidrográficas. Para tanto, estabelece a partir da relação dos fatores intrínsecos do solo, do relevo e do clima oito classes de uso da terra. O objetivo deste trabalho foi a definição das classes de capacidade de uso das terras visando à promoção da segurança alimentar e nutricional. Portanto, foram definidas as classes de uso das terras para a sub-bacia hidrográfica do Ribeirão Caçús, Sul de Minas Gerais – Brasil. As classes de uso do solo foram definidas como: classes IV; VI e VIII, com valores em porcentagem de 34%, 58% e 8% respectivamente. As classes IV e VI demandam manejos específicos para aumento da produtividade no agronegócio. A classe VIII são terras impróprias para cultivos, pastagens ou reflorestamento, podem servir apenas como abrigo e proteção da fauna e flora. Posteriormente, por meio do mapa de uso do solo foram identificadas e quantificadas as áreas com uso do solo acima da respectiva capacidade de uso e foi constatado que 15% da área está ocupada com culturas agrícolas incompatíveis com a capacidade de uso. Os resultados obtidos reforçam a importância de conservação do solo para assegurar a capacidade produtiva do mesmo, promovendo a segurança alimentar e nutricional e elevados índices de produtividade agrícola.Palavras-chave: Segurança Alimentar e Nutricional; Uso da Terra; Erosão.ABSTRACTThe definition of the land use classes is an instrument for soil use adequacy in rural properties and watersheds. For such, it establishes eight classes of land use, from the relation of soil intrinsic factors, geographic relief and climate. This work’s goal was to define land use capacity classes aiming to promote nutritional and food security. Furthermore, land use classes were defined for the Ribeirão Caçús watershed, southern Minas Gerais - Brazil. Land use classes were defined as: classes IV; VI and VIII, with percentage values of 34%, 58% and 8% respectively. Classes IV and VI require specific management to increase productivity in agribusiness. Class VIII is an unsuitable area for cultivation, pasture or reforestation, it can only serve as shelter and protection of fauna and flora. Subsequently, the land use map identified and quantified the land use areas above their use capacity and found that 15% of the area is occupied with crops that are incompatible with the use capacity. The results strengthen the importance of soil conservation to ensure its productive capacity, promoting food and nutritional security and higher levels of agricultural productivity.Keywords: Food and Nutrition Security; Land Use; Erosion.RESUMENLa definición de clases de uso de la tierra es un instrumento para la adecuación del uso de la tierra en propiedades rurales y cuencas hidrográficas. Para este fin, establece a partir de la relación de factores intrínsecos del suelo, el alivio y el clima ocho clases de uso de la tierra. El objetivo de este trabajo fue la definición de clases de capacidad de uso de la tierra con el objetivo de promover la seguridad alimentaria y nutricional. Por lo tanto, se definieron clases de uso de la tierra para la cuenca del Ribeirão Caçús, sur de Minas Gerais - Brasil. Las clases de uso del suelo se definieron como: clases IV; VI y VIII, con valores porcentuales del 34%, 58% y 8% respectivamente. Las clases IV y VI requieren un manejo específico para aumentar la productividad en los agronegocios. La clase VIII es tierra no apta para cultivo, pasto o reforestación, solo puede servir como refugio y protección de fauna y flora. Posteriormente, el mapa de uso de la tierra identificó y cuantificó las áreas de uso de la tierra por encima de su capacidad de uso y descubrió que el 15% del área está ocupada con cultivos incompatibles con la capacidad de uso. Los resultados refuerzan la importancia de la conservación del suelo para garantizar su capacidad productiva, promoviendo la seguridad alimentaria y nutricional y altos niveles de productividad agrícola.Palabras clave: Seguridad Alimentaria y Nutricional; Uso del Suelo; Erosión.

Abstract. This research sought to analyze the dynamics of physical education classes in the 3rd year of high school and to recognize the profile of the classes and the involvement of students, understanding the reasons that lead them to drop out. This is a descriptive and cross-sectional study. A questionnaire was used to gather data on the participation of 517 high school students in physical education classes in the 3rd year of high school in state public schools in the interior of São Paulo. For the analysis of the information, a descriptive analysis and content analysis were used. The initial results showed that 44 % of the sample had some barrier that prevents them from taking classes. Of this percentage, 74.6 % were girls, who were the majority, and who answered open questions about non-participation. It is concluded that approximately half of the participating students, mainly girls, participate little, or do not participate in physical education classes, this result being related to the methodology and the selection of content developed by the teacher. The role of physical education classes is to serve all students, respecting their differences, stimulating their potential to contribute so that they are proactive, critical, and autonomous in relation to their health and quality of life.
Resumen. Esta investigación buscó analizar la dinámica de las clases de Educación Física en el tercer año de la escuela secundaria y reconocer el perfil de las clases y la participación de los estudiantes, entendiendo las razones que los llevaron a abandonar la escuela. Se trata de un estudio descriptivo y transversal. Se utilizó un cuestionario para recopilar datos sobre la participación de 517 estudiantes de secundaria en las clases de educación física en el tercer año de secundaria en las escuelas públicas estatales del interior de São Paulo. Para el análisis de la información se utilizó un análisis descriptivo y un análisis de contenido. Los resultados iniciales mostraron que el 44% de la muestra tiene alguna barrera que les impide tomar clases. De este porcentaje, el 74,6% son niñas, que fueron la mayoría que respondieron preguntas abiertas sobre la no participación. Se concluye que aproximadamente la mitad de los estudiantes participantes, principalmente niñas, participan poco o no participan en las clases de Educación Física, este resultado está relacionado con la metodología y la selección de contenido desarrollado por el maestro. Por lo tanto, el papel de las clases de educación física es servir a todos los estudiantes, respetando sus diferencias, estimulando su potencial de contribuir para que sean proactivos, críticos y autónomos en relación con su salud y calidad de vida.

Introducción: En Chile el primer caso de COVID-19 fue diagnosticado el tres de marzo del 2020 y el día dieciocho del mismo mes el presidente decreto estado de catástrofe, por lo que las clases a nivel escolar y universitario pasaron de la presencialidad a la virtualidad. El presente estudio tiene como objetivo conocer el nivel de satisfacción de las clases virtuales de los estudiantes de Educación Física. Metodología: Cuantitativa, no experimental, transversal. La muestra estuvo constituida por 542 alumnos de Educación Física de diferentes casas de estudio de Chile. Se adaptó y validó la escala Satisfacción clases online. Resultados: existen diferencias significativas comparando las asignaturas teóricas y prácticas, siendo mejor valoradas las cátedras teóricas. También se encontraron diferencias por sexo, donde los varones poseen una percepción más negativa sobre las clases virtuales y al comparar por curso, los alumnos de primer año poseen una percepción más positiva sobre las clases virtuales en relación con los cursos superiores. Conclusiones: existe una resistencia por parte de los alumnos a las clases virtuales en la Educación Física, pues, si bien se encontraron diferencias significativas entre las asignaturas teóricas y prácticas, los valores siempre estuvieron alrededor de 3 en una escala de 1 a 5. Se hacen necesarias futuras investigaciones con otras variables como actividad física, niveles de estrés y estrategias para la enseñanza de la Educación Física virtual.
Abstract. Introduction: In Chile the first case of COVID-19 was diagnosed on March 3, 2020 and on the eighteenth of the same month the president decreed state of catastrophe, so that classes at school and university level went from the presence to the virtuality. The present study aims to know the level of satisfaction of the virtual classes of the students of Physical Education. Methodology: Quantitative, non experimental, transversal. The sample consisted of 542 students of Physical Education from different study houses in Chile. The Satisfaction scale online classes was adapted and validated. Results: there are significant differences comparing theoretical and practical subjects, with theoretical chairs being better valued. Differences were also found by sex, where males have a more negative perception about virtual classes and when comparing by course, freshmen have a more positive perception about virtual classes in relation to higher courses. Conclusions: there is a resistance on the part of students to virtual classes in Physical Education, because, although significant differences were found between the theoretical and practical subjects, values were always around 3 on a scale of 1 to 5. Future research with other variables such as physical activity, stress levels and strategies for the teaching of Virtual Physical Education are necessary.

L’article aborde la question de la délinquance des élites en déplaçant l’attention des travaux criminologiques vers les travaux des économistes et sociologues critiques, principalement français, qui portent sur les comportements des classes dominantes. La problématique porte sur les analyses formulées pour rendre compte de la crise actuelle en incriminant le comportement des classes dominantes. L’article étudie la mobilisation du vocabulaire de la déviance pour qualifier des comportements économiques et politiques de vol, d’extorsion et de violence. Il montre que ces dénonciations s’appuient sur des analyses de ces comportements comme un trait majeur des pratiques des classes dominantes contemporaines. En particulier, le renouveau de la sociologie critique s’appuie sur l’analyse du rapport singulier aux lois et aux normes des classes dominantes, en montrant qu’un de leurs traits distinctifs est de considérer ces règles comme fondamentales pour les autres, mais contournables par elles-mêmes. De telles analyses conduisent à des propositions politiques qui font usage de l’idée de sanction pénale. Mais l’article montre que ces usages sont pris dans des enjeux politiques plus larges et, en particulier, replacés dans le jeu des rapports de force entre les États, et entre les États et les détenteurs de capitaux qui échappent à leur contrôle.

Las comunidades virtuales de internet son un fenómeno de la actualidad, constituyéndose en fuente de investigación y medio de acceso a los discursos sociales. Este trabajo tiene como objetivo analizar los discursos de dos comunidades virtuales «Yo amo Educación Física» y «Yo odio Educación Física», del website Orkut. El surgimiento de tales comunidades se constituye como elemento para reflexión acerca de los significados atribuidos a las clases de Educación Física escolar y a la tradición de esas clases en Brasil. Como procedimiento metodológico es realizada investigación bibliográfica e investigación de campo, con base en principios de la etnografía, caracterizando una discusión eminentemente cualitativa. En las entrevistas con los participantes de ambas comunidades fue posible observar que hay varios relatos de malas experiencias en las clases, tanto por parte de los que dicen «amar» Educación Física como de los que dicen «odiar» esa disciplina escolar. La justificativa para eso es la tradición de esas clases en Brasil, siendo predominante una visión de cuerpo y de las prácticas corporales exclusivamente biológica. Esa tradición implica un accionar pedagógico por parte de los profesores direccionado para la universalización de las expresiones de los alumnos, desconsiderando sus diferencias.Palabra clave: Cultura; Prácticas Corporales; Clases de Educación Física; Internet; Escuela; Comunidades virtuales.Abstract: Virtual communities on internet are a current phenomenon. They are sources of research and access to social discourses. The present paper has the objective to analyze discourses in two virtual communities: «I love Physical Education» and «I hate Physical Education» on Orkut website. The emergence of these communities constitutes an element for reflection about the signifiers assigned to Physical Education classes at school and the tradition of these classes in Brazil. Bibliography and field research were the methodological procedures based on ethnography principles characterizing a mainly qualitative discussion. During the interviews with participants from both communities, it was able to realized that there are many complaints of badly succeeded classes by people who say «to love» Physical Education as by the ones who say «to hate» this subject at school. The reason for that is the tradition of these classes in Brazil, which are mainly an exclusively biological view of the body and body practices. This tradition implies a pedagogical action by the teachers focused on standardizing the students and not considering their differences.Key words: Culture; Body Practices; Physical Education classes; Internet; School; Virtual communities.

Objetivo: Analizar la percepción e interacción de los profesores de Educación Física (EF) con estudiantes embarazadas en la clase de Educación Física y Salud (EFyS). Método: 60 profesores de EF que realizaron clases de EFyS a estudiantes embarazadas en etapa escolar respondieron voluntariamente un cuestionario. El cuestionario fue diseñado especialmente para esta investigación y validado a través de juicio de experto. El estudio tuvo un enfoque cuantitativo con un muestreo no probabilístico. El análisis incluyó un análisis descriptivo y la prueba Chi-cuadrado de Pearson (p < ,05). Resultados: El 90% de los profesores encuestados afirman que la clase de EFyS puede ayudar a un buen desarrollo embrionario y a la salud del recién nacido. Sin embargo, también declaran que solo el 58,3 % de las estudiantes con embarazo adolescente en etapa escolar realizan clases de EFyS. De forma paralela, el 31,6% de los profesores de EF que han impartido clases a adolescentes embarazadas declaran que no poseen las competencias necesarias para dirigir estas actividades. Conclusión: Al término del estudio, se evidencia una baja participación de las adolescentes embarazadas en clases de EFyS. Sin embargo, los profesores de EF piensan que las clases de EFyS durante la gestación ayudan a un buen desarrollo embrionario y a la salud del recién nacido como también no generan riesgos para la salud del feto y de la adolescente embarazada. Por último, los profesores de EF perciben que tienen las competencias para dirigir las clases de EFyS durante el embarazo.
Abstract. Objective: To analyze the perception and interaction of Physical Education (PE) teachers with pregnant students in the Physical Education and Health (PE&H) class. Methods: 60 PE teachers who taught PE&H classes to pregnant students voluntarily answered a questionnaire. The instrument was specially designed for this research and validated by expert judgment. The study had a quantitative approach with non-probability sampling. The analysis included descriptive analysis and Pearson's Chi-square test (p < .05). Results: 90% of the teachers surveyed affirm that PE&H class can help the newborn's good embryonic development and health. However, they also state that only 58.3% of students with adolescent pregnancy at the school stage receive PE&H classes. At the same time, 31.6% of PE teachers who have taught courses to pregnant adolescents claim not to have the necessary skills to carry out these activities. Conclusions: At the end of the study, low participation of pregnant adolescents in PE&H classes is evident. However, PE teachers consider that PE&H classes during pregnancy contribute to good embryonic development and the newborn's health and do not generate risks for the fetus and the pregnant adolescent. Finally, PE teachers perceive that they can lead PE&H classes during pregnancy.

Esta investigación tiene por objetivo estudiar la incidencia de la imagen corporal en la participación en clases de Educación Física de 45 damas y varones de entre 13 y 17 años de establecimientos educacionales de Temuco, Chile. Se consideró aquellos alumnos que, sin tener impedimento de salud, no participaban regularmente de la clase de Educación Física. La metodología contempló un enfoque mixto, con un diseño no experimental del tipo descriptivo transeccional. Se hizo una recolección sistemática de antecedentes cualitativos a través de grupos focales y se consideró el Body Shape Questionnaire, para estudiar la opinión de los estudiantes respecto de su imagen corporal. Los resultados muestran que un 10% de los varones manifiestan preocupación leve respecto de su imagen corporal y que un 24% de las damas manifiestan una preocupación moderada respecto de su figura. Estos datos se corresponden con las opiniones manifestadas en los grupos focales, donde se pudo apreciar que los estudiantes sienten incomodidad e insatisfacción corporal en relación con su cuerpo, especialmente el género femenino. Sin embargo, esto no se constituye como la razón principal para no participar de las clases de Educación Física, siendo aspectos metodológicos los que son mencionados como de mayor importancia.
Abstract. The aim of this research is to study the incidence of body image in the participation in Physical Education classes of 45 girls and boys between 13 and 17 years old from educational establishments in Temuco, Chile. We considered those students who, without having a health impediment, did not participate regularly in Physical Education classes. The methodology contemplated a mixed approach, with a non-experimental design of the transectional descriptive type. A systematic collection of qualitative data was made through focus groups and the Body Shape Questionnaire was used to study the students' opinion of their body image. The results show that 10% of the males expressed mild concern about their body image and 24% of the females expressed moderate concern about their body shape. These data correspond to the opinions expressed in the focus groups, where it could be seen that students feel discomfort and body dissatisfaction in relation to their body, especially the female gender. However, this does not constitute as the main reason for not participating in Physical Education classes, being methodological aspects those that are mentioned as of greater importance.

This paper is aimed to discuss the relation between the size of the education group and preferences of adult learners towards oral/written communication with teachers. According to a survey from 2008 an a sample of 237 subjects, there is a statisticly significant correlation between the size of a student group and preferences of certain means of communication. Studying at the universities is considered as the most systematic formal professional education and training for young adults, by which they gain qualification, proffesion and social permission to perform a specific job. Matter of concern is the fact that the increasing number of students in a class minimises their contact with the lecturer, they are usually placed in a position of a listener by the one-way communication and the percentage of activly participating students is reduced. The conclusion points out that it is possible to influence the basic competencies, such as communication, by systematic planning of the teaching process. Hereby the students would be trained not only for successfull application of acquired knowledge and skills but also for strengthening their capacity for further education and self-education.

En el presente artículo analizamos cuáles son las causas de la escasa presencia de estos deportes en secundaria, además de plantear una serie de actividades con las que cualquier docente independientemente de su formación y experiencia previa, podrá poner en práctica los deportes de lucha con agarre en las clases de educación física.Abstract: Sports are usually the mostly worked contents in physical education classes. However, combat sport with grip has little presence in teaching planning. In this article, we will analyse which are the causes of the scarce presence of these sports in Secondary Education. In addition, we will propose a sequence of activities which any teacher; regardless his / her training or previous experience, will be able to practise these sports in physical education classes.

El fútbol siete es practicado por personas con parálisis cerebral. Los participantes se dividen en cuatro clases funcionales (FT5, FT6, FT7, y FT8). El objetivo de este estudio fue determinar y valorar las características somatotípicas y de composición corporal de futbolistas participantes en el 15º Campeonato Brasileiro de Fútbol siete. Las variables antropométricas de masa corporal, estatura, espesor de pliegues cutáneos, circunferencias y diámetros óseos fueron recolectados en 61 futbolistas de sexo masculino. Las medidas recogidas proporcionaron información sobre el índice de masa corporal (IMC), porcentaje de grasa corporal (% GC) y somatotipo. La presentación de los datos fue realizada con base en estadística descriptiva, y la prueba de Kruskal-Wallis fue utilizada con el objetivo de determinar y valorar la diferencia entre las diversas clases funcionales. El análisis de las variables antropométricas y de la composición corporal permite afirmar que no existen diferencias entre las clases funcionales y el perfil de estos futbolistas expresados por los valores medios de IMC (22,78 kg / m2 + 2,24) y % GC de (10,48% + 4,41). Las características somatotipológicas indican que los participantes del estudio, divididos en cuatro clases funcionales, obtuvieron valores del componente de mesomorfia predominante en relación a los demás componentes. En ese sentido, es posible concluir determinaciones en relación a los patrones y perfiles de tamaño, forma y estructura corporal de deportistas masculinos de fútbol siete paralímpico.Abstract. Football seven is played by people who have cerebral palsy. Participants are divided into four functional classes. The objective of this study was to verify somatotype and body composition characteristics of athletes participating in the 15th Brazilian Football-seven Championship. Anthropometric variables of body mass, height, thickness of skinfolds, and bone circumferences and diameters were collected in 61 male footballers. Measures collected provided information on body mass index (BMI), percentage of body fat (% BF), and somatotype. Data presentation was based on descriptive statistics, and the Kruskal-Wallis test was used to verify the difference between the different functional classes. Data analysis on anthropometric variables and body composition showed no differences between the functional classes regarding athletes’profile expressed by mean BMI values (22.78 Kg / m2 + 2.24) and % BF (10.48% + 4.41). With respect to the somatotypological characteristics, results indicated that values of the mesomorphic component were predominant compared to the other components in all participants from our study, divided in four functional classes. In that sense, we may draw determinations regarding size, shape, and body structure patterns and profiles of male footballers of Paralympic football.

Cooking classes have emerged as popular activities for international tourists seeking to learn and participate in Thai culinary culture. Applying Larsen's psychological three-stage model for understanding the tourism experience, this study identifies motivational and experiential factors of tourists' participation in cooking classes, and their subsequent behavioral intentions. Drawing on functional motivational theory and Pine and gilmore's experience economy concept, a quantitative instrument is developed to survey 300 tourist participants in cooking classes in Chiang Mai, Thailand. results suggest that the top-most motivational factor for participation in cooking classes is socioutilitarian needs—a combination of social and utilitarian items, whereas the top-most experiential factor is "Ent-escapist"—a combination of Pine and gilmore's entertainment and escapist realms. The results indicate that both the motivational and the experiential facets of cooking clases are influenced by a combination of factors. These findings offer implications for the marketing of cooking class products by destination management organizations.

Scheduling courses in higher education often face problems, such as the clashes of teachers' schedules, rooms, and students' schedules. This study proposes course scheduling optimization using genetic algorithms and taboo search. The genetic algorithm produces the best generation of chromosomes composed of lecturer, day, and hour genes. The Tabu search method is used for the lecture rooms division. Scheduling is carried out for the Informatics faculty with four study programs, 65 lecturers, 93 courses, 265 lecturer assignments, and 65 classes. The process of generating 265 schedules took 561 seconds without any scheduling clashes. The genetic algorithms and taboo searches can process quite many course schedules faster than the manual method.

Comparison of Indonesian word classes with Southern Thai Malay language is a problem, namely how to compare Indonesian word classes with Southern Thai and Malay languages so that there will be no errors in the use of said classes. The purpose of this study is to describe the similarities, differences and comparisons of Indonesian word classes with Southern Thai Malay. The type of research used in this study is a qualitative descriptive study. The results of the study are a comparison of Indonesian word classes with Southern Thai Malay language can be expressed in the same class of words, namely three word classes: Indonesian verbs with verbs Southern Thai Malay, Indonesian adjectives with the adjectives of South Thai Malay language and Indonesian verbs with language Southern Thai Malay. The difference between Indonesian words and Southern Thai Malay can be distinguished as noun, Pronomina and Numeralia words, adverb words can be found in Indonesian only, while South Thai Malay words can be classed as names.

Objective: To compare the moderate-to-vigorous physical activity of physical education classes taught by teachers and their students during recess. Method: In order to determine the physical activity intensity the system for observing fitness instruction time (SOFIT) was used, a descriptive cross-sectional comparative methodological design was used, 63 physical education classes were evaluated selecting randomly four students from each class (2 men and 2 women), the same procedure was followed to evaluate the same 4 students during the 30 minutes of recess. Results: The equality of variance was calculated using the Student t test for independent samples resulting a P-value=.001 α≤ less than 0.05, with a percentage time of moderate-to-vigorous physical activity in physical education classes taught by teachers of 41%±17.7 and performed by students during recess of 50%±10.3, the percentage of difference (Δ%) was of 18% between the variables. Conclusion: The intensity of physical activity during recess was higher without teacher instruction in relation to physical education classes evaluated, due is important a feedback for the teachers in strategies for involving the students in moderate to vigorous physical activity as established by the World Health Organization. Resumen. Objetivo: Comparar la actividad física moderada a vigorosa de clases de educación física impartidas por profesores y la intensidad de la actividad física de sus estudiantes durante el recreo. Método: Se utilizó como instrumento de evaluación el sistema para observar el tiempo de instrucción de actividad física (SOFIT), el diseño metodológico fue transversal descriptivo comparativo, evaluando 63 clases de educación física seleccionado al azar cuatro estudiantes de cada clase (2 hombres y 2 mujeres), el mismo procedimiento se siguió, evaluando a los mismos 4 estudiantes durante los 30 minutos del recreo. Resultados: La igualdad de la varianza se calculó mediante la prueba t Student para muestras independientes resultando una P-Valor=.001 menor a α≤ 0.05, el porcentaje de tiempo de actividad física moderada a vigorosa en las clases de educación física impartidas por profesores fue de 41%±17.7 y la realizada por los estudiantes durante el recreo resulto en 50%±10.3 y un porcentaje de diferencia (Δ%) de 18%. Conclusión: La intensidad de actividad física durante el recreo fue mayor sin instrucción docente en relación a las clases de educación física evaluadas, por lo anterior es importante retroalimentar de manera constructiva la manera de impartir la clase de los profesores mediante capacitación con estrategias didácticas para involucrar al alumno en actividad física moderada a vigorosa como lo establece la Organización Mundial de la Salud.

Una de las preocupaciones de los docentes en la educación superior siempre ha sido el grado de formación académica que tienen los jóvenes que acaban la formación secundaria. Tras los acontecimientos sociales del octubre, noviembre de 2019 en Bolivia y la decisión mundial de suspender las clases presenciales y pasar a las clases virtuales, surge la preocupación por si los estudiantes están preparados para migrar de las clases presenciales a las clases virtuales. Por otro lado, los estudiantes también tienen la inquietud de si los docentes están preparados para poder administrar la educación virtual, así como de los padres de familia si existen las condiciones tecnológicas y económicas para poder migrar a la educación superior virtual. Con los resultados del proyecto se quiere develar y clasificar el perfil digital de los docentes y estudiantes en un periodo corto de tiempo. Los usuarios de las TIC’s tanto estudiantes como docentes han cambiado acentuando el uso de las herramientas, pero al mismo tiempo como se han adaptado y adecuado al ritmo y velocidad con que aparecieron nuevas herramientas para la formación sincrónica y asincrónica.
Las actuales circunstancias han permitido el incremento y variedad de estas herramientas que van mucho más aceleradas que la de docentes y estudiantes que pueden incorporar en la actividad académica, sin embargo el reto es justamente medir y cuantificar esta variación para establecer la brecha y clasificación entre los usuarios: docentes y estudiantes en las fases que implica nuestra investigación. One of the concerns of teachers in higher education has always been the degree of academic training of young people who finish secondary education. After the social events of October, November 2019 in Bolivia and the worldwide decision to suspend face-to-face classes and move on to virtual classes, there is concern about whether students are prepared to migrate from face-to-face classes to virtual classes. On the other hand, students are also concerned about whether teachers are prepared to manage virtual education, as well as parents whether the technological and economic conditions exist to be able to migrate to virtual higher education. The project wants to reveal and classify the digital profile of teachers and students, and how this change in a short period of time. It will be seen how the users of ICTs, both students and teachers, have changed, accentuating the use of the tools, but at the same time it will be seen that the speed with which new tools for synchronous and asynchronous training appeared have a much higher speed than the teachers and students can incorporate them into academic activity.

A los docentes de la Educación Física nos suele caracterizar nuestro interés por la formación permanente, así como por la creación de nuestros propios recursos didácticos. En esta línea de actuación, nuestro departamento se constituyó en el curso 2003-2004 como Grupo de Trabajo para propiciar un lugar de intercambio y encuentro de ideas y experiencias. De este foro surgió una Unidad Didáctica para la Secundaria con los juegos y concursos de precisión practicados entre finales del siglo XV y mediados del XVI (coincidiendo con el reinado de Isabel I) como principales protagonistas. Además, en esta ocasión en particular, el trabajo específico del área se unió a otro multidisciplinar en aras de procurar un estimulante y enriquecedor vehículo de conocimiento sobre ese momento histórico. Por último, comentar que el producto final alcanzado dio unos frutos extraordinarios con grupos de alumnos con muy baja motivación hacia cualquier tipo de actividad físico y/o deportiva, por lo que su valor se incrementa aún más.Abstract: Physical Education teachers are characterized by our interest in both permanent training and elaborating our own didactic resources. Based on this performance, our department took form of a work group during 2003-2004 as a place to share and exchange ideas and experiences. Out of this forum, we created a didactic unit for Secondary Education with games and accuracy contests practised during the late fifteenth and mid sixteenth centuries (while the reign of Elizabeth I) as main topics. Besides, on this particular occasion, our specific subject work involved a multi-disciplinary approach in order to obtain some stimulant and enriching knowledge of that historical moment. Finally, the result that we achieved was successful with a group of students who don’t feel at all motivated by any kind of physical activity. Therefore, we value this work highly as an educational tool.

Attention is considered an important mediator variable in the teaching / learning process, because of that, the scientific community made several investigations in order to understand what students are thinking, what strategies are best to captivate their attention and the type of instructions and/or feedback to develop students’ performance in achieving motor skills. In this research we tried to find differences in attentional profiles, of students during the practice of football and basketball at different moments of a Physical Education class. The sample consists of 156 students of both genders (84 females and 72 males), between 12 and 16 years old ( of 3rd Primary School (7th, 8th and 9th grade) to which a questionnaire was applied, ATEST- EF (Petrica 2010). Questionnaire which students had to point out what they were thinking at certain time of the Physical Education class. This was applied in team sports (football and basketball). In descriptive terms we found that students are in general aware of the task, information and behavior, and there are a few differences between the percentages between them, but from the test Chi_Square we found no statistical differences between the different moments of the Physical Education class. We concluded that, in this sample we didn’t verified the importance of attention and students focus in the different moments of team sport’s practiceResumen: La atención se considera un mediador importante en el proceso de enseñanza / aprendizaje, por lo que ya se han llevado a cabo varias investigaciones para percibir los pensamientos de los alumnos, las estrategias para atraer su atención y el tipo de instrucción y / o feedback que se debe dar a los alumnos para desarrollar el rendimiento en la realización de habilidades motoras. En esta investigación, tratamos de encontrar diferencias en los perfiles de atención de los estudiantes durante la enseñanza de deportes colectivos (fútbol y baloncesto), en varios momentos de la clase de Educación Física. La muestra estuvo compuesta por 156 estudiantes de ambos sexos (84 mujeres y 72 hombres), con edades comprendidas entre 12 y 16 años (x ̃ = 14,9 ± 1,3), de la 3ra escuela primaria (7º, 8º y 9º grado) a la que se aplicó un cuestionario, ATEST-EF (Petrica 2010), en el que los estudiantes tendrían que indicar que estaban pensando en ciertos momentos de la clase de Educación Física, este se aplicó en las modalidades deportivas como el fútbol y el baloncesto. En términos descriptivos, encontramos que los estudiantes generalmente están atentos a la tarea, la información y el comportamiento, y hay algunas diferencias porcentuales entre las dos modalidades, pero a partir de la prueba Qui_Square, no encontramos diferencias estadísticamente significativas entre los diferentes momentos de la clase en las modalidades deportivas colectivos. Por lo tanto, se apoya que, en esta muestra, no se verificó la importancia de los momentos diferenciados en relación con la atención y en qué se enfocan los estudiantes.

Entre los resultados se hallaron resultados medios-altos (5.09 y 5.22) para las dimensiones de Motivación Intrínseca y Regulación Identificada, respectivamente; mientras que las dimensiones Regulación Introyectada y Regulación Externa presentaron valores medios, 4.49 para la Regulación Introyectada y 4.72 para la Regulación Externa. Por su parte, la no motivación alcanzó un valor medio-bajo (3.70). Genéricamente, los varones aparentaron valores más alto que las damas, en todas las dimensiones, excepto en no motivación, sin embargo, estas diferencias no resultaron ser significativas estadísticamente. Se arribó a la conclusión de que la Motivación Intrínseca, la Regulación Identificada caracterizan a la población estudiada, la no motivación mostró resultados bajos, por lo que los alumnos de enseñanza media, sobre todo, los hombres de niveles superiores, se hallan motivados por la clase de Educación Física.
Abstract. The objective proposed in the present study was to determine the type of motivation, from the perspective of self-determination, in high school students, towards the Physical Education class of the Antonio Varas de la Barra High School in Arica, Chile, and its relationship between level of studies and sex. 717 students from 1st to 4th grade participated. The instrument used was the Scale of the Perceived Locus of Causality in Physical Education (Spanish adaptation). Among the results, medium-high results (5.09 and 5.22) were found for the dimensions of Intrinsic Motivation and Identified Regulation, respectively; while the Introjected Regulation and External Regulation dimensions presented average values, 4.49 for Introjected Regulation and 4.72 for External Regulation. For its part, non-motivation reached a medium-low value (3.70). Generically, men appeared higher values than women, in all dimensions, except non-motivation, however, these differences were not statistically significant. It was concluded that Intrinsic Motivation, Identified Regulation characterize the studied population, non-motivation showed low results, so that high school students, especially men of higher levels, are motivated by the P.E. Class.

Abstract To assess maturity distributions of shelled-stock peanut lots, a method was developed to characterize peanut kernels into one of three possible maturity classes based on testa texture and color and kernel shape. Kernels having testa with longitudinal wrinkles, a raisin-like texture, light color and slightly elongated shape were classed Immature and predominately were shelled from pods in the Hull-Scrape categories White, Yellow I, and early-Yellow II. Kernels with a smooth testa, pink to dark pink and with a more rounded appearance were classed Mid-mature and predominately were shelled from pods in the late-Yellow II, Orange, and early-Brown Hull-Scrape classes. Kernels with a waffle-like surface texture, dark pink to brown testa, and a more rounded appearance were classed as Mature, and predominately were shelled from pods in the mid-and late-Brown and the Black Hull-Scrape categories. Attempts to automate the system using color alone were unsuccessful; to be a reliable maturity sorting technique, both testa texture and color pattern had to be considered.

AbstractA set of infinite binary sequences ${\cal C} \subseteq 2$ℕ is negligible if there is no partial probabilistic algorithm that produces an element of this set with positive probability. The study of negligibility is of particular interest in the context of ${\rm{\Pi }}_1^0 $ classes. In this paper, we introduce the notion of depth for ${\rm{\Pi }}_1^0 $ classes, which is a stronger form of negligibility. Whereas a negligible ${\rm{\Pi }}_1^0 $ class ${\cal C}$ has the property that one cannot probabilistically compute a member of ${\cal C}$ with positive probability, a deep ${\rm{\Pi }}_1^0 $ class ${\cal C}$ has the property that one cannot probabilistically compute an initial segment of a member of ${\cal C}$ with high probability. That is, the probability of computing a length n initial segment of a deep ${\rm{\Pi }}_1^0 $ class converges to 0 effectively in n.We prove a number of basic results about depth, negligibility, and a variant of negligibility that we call tt-negligibility. We provide a number of examples of deep ${\rm{\Pi }}_1^0 $ classes that occur naturally in computability theory and algorithmic randomness. We also study deep classes in the context of mass problems, examine the relationship between deep classes and certain lowness notions in algorithmic randomness, and establish a relationship between members of deep classes and the amount of mutual information with Chaitin’s Ω.

Structuralists and generativists define word classes distributionally (Palmer 1971, Baker 2003, Aarts 2007), while cognitive linguists take a semantic (Langacker 1987a) or semantic-pragmatic approach (Croft 1991, 2001). Psycholinguistic research, by contrast, has shown that phonological properties also play a role (Kelly 1992, Monaghan et al. 2005). This study reports on a production experiment involving English nonce nouns and verbs. The data confirm the importance of phonology, whilst also suggesting that distributional facts are involved in lexical categorisation. Together with the existing psycholinguistic evidence, the results show that both the generative and cognitive models of word classes are too restricted. However, the usage-based model can accommodate the facts straightforwardly. This was already anticipated by Taylor (2002) but is worked out in more detail here by elaborating on his notion of phonological “sub-schemas” and by bringing together insights from Croft (1991, 2001) related to discourse propositional act constructions and recent suggestions by Langacker (2008b) concerning “summary scanning” and “sequential scanning”.
