Повний текст джерелаNew therapy modalities for the treatment of advanced prostate cancer based on peptide analogues are reviewed. It has been shown that gastrin releasing peptide receptors (GRPr) are overexpressed in various types of cancer cells including prostate and breast cancer. Bombesin is an analogue of the mammalian GRP that binds with high specificity and affinity to GRPr. Significant research efforts have been devoted to the design bombesin analogues labeled with 177Lu considering the excellent radiophysical properties and commercial availability of the radionuclide. The aim of this work was to study the labeling and the quality control of a bombesin analogues with Lu-177 using DOTA and DTPA as chelate group and an aminoacidic spacers Gly5 and study the stability and biodistribution properties in order to evaluate the potencial for clinical application. The studies showed that the bombesin analogs were labeled with 177Lu with high radiochemical yield and high specific activity. In vitro stability studies showed that DOTA-conjugated peptides were more stable than DTPA-conjugated, when stored under refrigeration or in human serum. The partition coefficient values showed that 177LuDOTA-PG5N was more lipophilic when compared with 177LuDOTA-PG5M but without influence on blood clearance and liver uptake. The DOTA-conjugated peptides presented low binding to plasma proteins, that contributes for fast blood clearance in vivo. Biodistribution studies of 177LuDOTA-PG5M and 177LuDOTA-PG5N, showed significant renal uptake, as a result of the urinary excretion and low bone uptake, that indicated the in vivo stability of the 177Lu-DOTA-complexes. The compound 177LuDOTA-PG5M showed higher uptake on pancreas and intestinses and these organs presents high density of BBN receptors. But the in vitro binding assays (PC-3 tumors cells) showed similar results for both compounds.

Повний текст джерелаO convento de Chelas, situa-se no Vale de Chelas na zona oriental de Lisboa. É uma das mais antigas casas monásticas da cidade, tendo sido testemunho de variadas ocupações e usos diferenciados que imprimiram um caráter mutante ao longo dos anos. Encontra-se atualmente ocupado pelo Arquivo Geral do Exército, que mantém preservadas as suas dependências conventuais e industriais. O grande estado de degradação do Convento e o panorama de abandono do meio urbano, cria uma janela de oportunidade para reflexão acerca da sua reabilitação e perspetiva futura. Insere-se na discussão da importância da preservação do património religioso e industrial que se encontra ao longo do Vale de Chelas. É nesse sentido que se procura entender o papel que o Convento de Chelas e a sua cerca terão no futuro do Vale e a dinâmica que podem imprimir na sua envolvente. Assim, o objetivo do trabalho passa por analisar o objeto de estudo num enquadramento mais alargado e profundo, recorrendo a uma metodologia baseada na experiência humana no lugar, incidindo na individualidade e especificidade do Convento. Este conjunto conventual apresenta uma forte pretensão de se manter como parte integrante da paisagem do Vale que merece ser preservada. É nesse sentido, que se apresenta aqui, a proposta para uma intervenção fundamentada por uma leitura fenomenológica, que visa restituir um futuro a este conjunto conventual.
ABSTRACT: The Convent of Chelas is situated in the Chelas Valley in eastern Lisbon. It is one of the oldest monastics housed of the city, it has witnessed numerous occupations and different uses that gave a changing character throughout the years. It is currently occupied by the General Archives of the Army, maintaining its convent and industrial premises. The great state of degradation of the convent and the panorama of neglection of the urban environment characterized by void and ruins, gives a window opportunity to reflect on its rehabilitation and future perspective. It is part of the discussion on the importance of the preservation of the religious and industrial heritage that exists along the Chelas Valley. This is how one tries to understand the role that the Convent of Chelas and its fence will have in the valley and the consequent dynamics that will print in its surrounding. Thus, the objective of the project is to analyse the object of study in a broader and deeper context, using a methodology base on human experience in site, with focus on the individuality and specificity of the Convent. The Convent complex present a strong will to remain an integral part of the valley landscape that deserves to be preserved. Therefore, it is presented here, the proposal for an intervention based on a phenomenological reading, which aims to restore the future of this Convent.

Synthetic chelates used in phytoextraction, barely degradate in soil and pose a risk owing metal leaching. Natural organic acids can be an alternative to synthetic chelates thanks to their rapid biodegrability. The study was carried out aiming at evaluating the performance of three synthetic chelators and two natural aliphatic acids in desorbing Pb from a soil contaminated through recycling of battery wastes. Additionally, effects of the amendments on the Pb leaching from soil were also studied. The work comprised two experiments: (1) Pb desorption from soil using the rates of 0, 2, 5, 10, 20 and 30 mmol kg-1 of citric acid and oxalic, EDTA, DTPA and NTA; (2) Pb leaching from soil columns by applying citric acid, oxalic, EDTA, and NTA onto soil at the 0, 10, and 20 mmol kg-1 concentrations. EDTA promoted the highest desorption and leaching, hence is not recommended for phytoextraction programs in the area. High desorption of Pb along with low leaching, qualifies NTA as a potential Pb phytoextraction enhancer for the metal in the field condition. Neither citric acid nor oxalic acid posed risk regarding Pb leaching. On the other hand, they seem little promising for enhancing Pb phytoextraction due to the lowmetal concentration in soil solution.
A baixa degrabilidade no solo de quelantes sintéticos usados para induzir a fitoextração pode significar elevado risco ambiental pela lixiviação de metais pesados. Agentes quelantes naturais, mais rapidamente degradados no solo, podem ser uma alternativa para os quelantes sintéticos. Os objetivos do trabalho foram avaliar a capacidade de cinco agentes quelantes sintéticos e dois naturais de cadeia alifática na dessorção de Pb, além do risco de lixiviação desse metal promovida pelos quelantes em solo contaminado pela deposição de escórias resultantes da reciclagem de baterias automotivas. O trabalho compreendeu dois experimentos: (1) dessorção utilizando as concentrações de 0, 2, 5, 10, 20 e 30 mmol kg-1 de ácido cítrico e oxálico, EDTA, DTPA e NTA; (2) lixiviação de Pb realizada em colunas de PVC com concentrações de 0, 10 e 20 mmol kg-1 de ácido cítrico e oxálico, EDTA e NTA. O uso do EDTA promoveu elevada dessorção e lixiviação de Pb, não sendo recomendado o uso para programa de fitoextração na área em estudo. A elevada dessorção de Pb, aliada a baixa lixiviação promovida pelo NTA, qualifica o quelante para programa de fitoextração de Pb na área a qual as amostras de solo foram coletadas. Os quelantes orgânicos não apresentaram riscos para a lixiviação de Pb nas concentrações estudadas, mas parecem pouco promissores para a fitoextração de chumbo devido a baixa dessorção do metal.

Повний текст джерелаDesde o final do século XX, a zona ribeirinha na parte oriental de Lisboa ficou marcada por uma série fábricas desocupadas. Com a desindustrialização, essas fábricas foram desativadas, transformando-se num conjunto de construções abandonadas, mas com grande viabilidade para ser reabilitado. Este território encontra-se separado da cidade devido à agregação de construções de várias épocas, sem uma ligação entre as mesmas. A proposta deste Projeto Final de Mestrado pretende criar uma nova centralidade nesta parte de Lisboa, um pólo gerador que sirva a população e potencie o encontro social e cultural e que se interligue com a restante cidade. Essa intenção é realizada através da reutilização desses espaços industriais, alguns em ruínas, adaptando-os à realidade contemporânea. A área de intervenção nessa faixa ribeirinha incide no Vale de Chelas, que é relativamente central, dado ser localizado entre dois grandes centros urbanos, a Baixa Pombalina e o Parque das Nações. O edifício selecionado para o trabalho foi a Fábrica da Samaritana, no qual se propõe uma construção multifuncional, com usos que procuram reaproximar a população residente, tornando-o num lugar de encontro. Junto com a reabilitação do edifício, foi delineada uma estrutura de consolidação dos arranjos exteriores, correspondente ao Vale de Chelas, considerado um corredor verde que deve ser trabalhado e preservado. Observando as constantes transformações urbanas, a proposta tenciona manter a memória da antiga realidade industrial, adaptando as novas funções de uma forma pouco intrusiva, para que possam sempre ser revertidas.
ABSTRACT: Since the end of the 20th century, the riverside area in the eastern part of Lisbon was marked by a series of unoccupied factories. With the de-industrialization, these factories were deactivated, becoming a set of abandoned buildings, but with great viability to be rehabilitated. This territory is separated from the city due to the aggregation of constructions of several times, without a connection between them. The purpose of this Final Master Project is to create a new centrality in this part of Lisbon, a generator that serves the population and fosters a social and cultural encounter and interconnects with the rest of the city. This intention is realized through the reuse of these industrial spaces, some in ruins, adapting them to the contemporary reality. The area of intervention in this river front is the Chelas Valley, which is relatively central, since it is located between two large urban centers, Baixa Pombalina and Parque das Nações. The building selected for the work was the Fábrica da Samaritana, which proposes a multifunctional construction, with uses that seek to re-approximate the resident population, making it a meeting place. Along with the rehabilitation of the building, a structure of consolidation of the exterior arrangements, corresponding to the Valley of Chelas was considered, a green corridor that must be worked and preserved. Observing the constant urban transformations, the proposal intends to maintain the memory of the old industrial reality, adapting the new functions in a non-intrusive way, so that they can always be reversed.

Повний текст джерелаThe first and main part of this thesis is focused on the design and synthesis of photo-activableand metal chelating alkanethiols. Chelate associated photochemistry (CAP) is a novel conceptof combining two well-known protein (ligand) immobilization strategies to obtain a sensorsurface of covalently bound ligand with defined orientation. This includes nitrilotriacetic acid(NTA) which is used to capture and pre-orientate histidine-tagged proteins to the sensorsurface, followed by UV activation of a neighboring photo-crosslinking agent, benzophenone(BP), to covalently bind the ligand in this favorable orientation. Our results (paper 1) indicatethat up to 55% more activity of the ligand is achieved with the CAP concept compared to theactivity of the randomly oriented ligand (immobilized only by BP). This also yields a surfacethat is more robust compared to if only NTA is used. The photo cross-linking withbenzophenone (BP) adduct is limited to a distance range of 3Å, it is therefore favorable tocapture the ligand before reacting with surface bound BP-adduct. The surface consists of anexcess of ethylene glycols (known for its protein-repellent properties) to prevent non-specificprotein binding, thereby increase the specificity of the sensor surface. With this obtainedsurface chemistry we hope to contribute to the development of large-scale screening systemsand microarrays based on His-tagged labeled biomolecules. This will be used in a number ofapplications such as proteomics-related applications, including drug discovery, the discoveryof lead compounds and characterization of protein-protein interactions.
The second part of this thesis describes the effect of the synthetic N-(3-oxododecanoyl)-Lhomoserinelactone (30-C12-HSL) on eukaryotic cells. 30-C12-HSL is a natural occurringsignal substance in the bacterium Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and this signal molecule isinvolved in the regulation of bacterial growth. Pseudomonas aeruginosa has been consideredas a common cause of infections in hospitals, especially in patients with compromisedimmune systems. Since the 30-C12-HSL can diffuse freely cross the cell membranes, it isexpected to have influence on the host cell behaviour. Herein, we study how the eukaryoticcells respond to the bacterial signal molecule, 30-C12-HSL. Our results (paper 2) indicatethat 30-C12-HSL disrupt the adherens junctions in human epithelial cells. The disruption iscaused by a hyperphosphorylation of the adherens junction proteins (protein complexbetween epithelial tissues). This suggests the bacterial signals are sensed by that the host cells.

Повний текст джерелаDurante vários séculos Lisboa enfrentou um problema de abastecimento de água. A construção de diversos aquedutos foi parte da resposta na resolução desta necessidade fulcral para a sobrevivência e expansão deste sítio. Actualmente, a cidade enfrenta principalmente um problema de drenagem deste recurso. O sistema de vales foi construído sem ter em conta a continuidade das suas linhas de água (durante e após o processo de industrialização). No entanto, construir também pode significar organizar e unificar este tipo de territórios de forma a recuperar uma continuidade e retomar a vontade ancestral de aproximação à margem do Rio Tejo. O projecto procura a coexistência entre uma permanência industrial (particularmente infraestruturas ferroviárias/portuárias) e um sistema de armazenamento, abastecimento e drenagem de água inspirado na memória hídrica de Lisboa e do Vale de Chelas. Existe o propósito de aliar este sentido infraestrutural a um sentido de fruição, tendo como uma das principais referências a monumentalidade do Aqueduto das Águas Livres. A intervenção proposta assume um carácter geológico ao ambicionar uma apropriação vigorosa do subsolo enquanto espaço passível para a criação de lugares transcendentes. A compreensão de um muro como uma valência e não como um obstáculo complementa o acto projectual na inter--relação entre a tradição da pré-existência e a revelação de um novo tempo no Vale.
ABSTRACT: For several centuries Lisbon faced a problem of water supply. The construction of several aqueducts was part of the response in solving this essential necessity for the survival and expansion of this site. Presently, the city faces mainly a problem of drainage of this resource. The valley system was constructed without taking into account the continuity of its water lines (during and after the industrialization process). However, building can also mean organizing and unifying these types of territories in order to regain continuity and recapture the ancestral desire to approach the Tagus River. The project seeks the coexistence between an industrial permanence (particularly railway/port infrastructures) and a system for storing, supplying and draining water inspired by Lisbon´s and Chelas Valley´s hydro memory. There is a purpose of allying this infrastructural meaning to a sense of fruition, having as one of the main references the monumentality of the Águas Livres Aqueduct. The proposed intervention assumes a geological character by ambitioning a vigorous appropriation of the subsoil as a space suitable to create transcendent places. The understanding of a wall as an advantage and not as an obstacle complements the project in the interrelationship between the tradition of pre-existence and the revelation of a new time in the Valley.

Повний текст джерелаA reabilitação de preexistências é uma temática central na consolidação da cidade atual, marcada pela existência de vazios urbanos e edifícios devolutos. As zonas mais afetadas por esta realidade são áreas anteriormente periféricas à cidade e agora centrais, ocupadas por complexos industriais que atualmente se encontram deslocados para a periferia. Verifica-se assim a necessidade de repensar estes lugares, testemunhos de uma era industrial. Perante o olhar critico sobre estes lugares marcados pelo abandono das fábricas, o presente trabalho estuda a necessidade de reutilização de espaços devolutos em Lisboa, com foco nos complexos industriais do vale de Chelas. É percetível neste território a presença de um vasto património de cariz industrial, que apesar da sua importância histórica e valor arquitetónico se encontra em degradação, contribuindo para a sua desintegração. Identificada esta problemática, pretende-se com este trabalho a consolidação, à escala urbana, do vale de Chelas, procurando um novo sentido para a ligação entre a parte a norte do vale e o rio Tejo. Formalizando uma proposta de reutilização e reconversão das antigasinstalações do complexo Tinturaria Portugália, o projeto trata as preexistências do antigo complexo industrial, valorizando a sua memória industrial têxtil, bem como atribuindo a este edifício uma nova estrutura. Possibilita-se, assim a reinterpretação do que são espaços criativos ligados à cidade contemporanêa.
ABSTRACT: The rehabilitation of pre-existences, is a central theme in the consolidation of the present city, often marked by the existence of empty urban spaces and empty buildings. The areas most affected by this abandonment are areas, formerly peripheral and now central, occupied by industrial complexes that are now displaced to the periphery of cities. This is thus an urban question to be solved. Given the critical view on these spaces affected by the abandonment of the factories, the present work studies the need for reuse of empty spaces in Lisbon, more concretely of industrial spaces in the valley of Chelas. In this territory, the presence of a vast patrimony of an industrial nature, which, despite its historical importance and architectural value, is degraded, contributes to the disintegration of the urban fabric. Inserted in this reality, this work intends the consolidation, in urban scale, of the valley of Chelas, looking for a new sense for the connection between the north part of the valley and the Tagus river. Formalizing a proposal for the reuse and conversion of the old facilities of the Portugália Tinturaria complex, the project takes place on the pre-existing industrial complex, enhancing its industrial textile memory, as well as complementing this building with a new structure. This will enable the reinterpretation of what are creative spaces linked to the current city.

Повний текст джерелаO presente projeto propõe uma reflexão, à escala urbana e arquitectónica, sobre edifícios industriais que se encontram em ruína no Vale de Chelas, a oriente da cidade de Lisboa. Torna-se fundamental investigar as razões pelas quais esta zona da cidade ainda permanece expectante em comparação com a restante e encontrar soluções que invertam essa situação. Este exercício parte da premissa de estudar o passado, entender o contexto atual e propor soluções, através da arquitectura, de forma a revitalizar esta zona oriental da cidade de Lisboa. Para isso foram abordados diversos temas, tais como: a cidade vista como palimpsesto, o património industrial e os conceitos fundamentais para uma revitalização urbana eficiente. O projeto incide sobre as pré-existências da Fábrica Tinturaria Portugália, para a qual se propõe um programa com um cariz socioeconómico bastante forte e com o propósito da reutilização da fábrica como motor de uma nova microcentralidade. Ao longo deste exercício procurou-se o diálogo entre os conceitos de memória do lugar, respeito pelo património e contemporaneidade.
ABSTRACT: This project purpose a reflection, in an urban and architectonic scale, about the industrial buildings that are in ruin in Vale de Chelas, in the orient side of Lisbon. It is essential/critical to search for the reasons this area is remaining in suspense, stopped growing in comparison with the rest of the city, and found solutions to surpass this situation. This effort starts with the idea of studying the past, understanding the current context and offers solutions to revitalize the oriental side of Lisbon, through the architecture. For that were analyzed several topics, such as the city like a palimpsest industrial heritage and the vital concepts for efficient urban revitalization. This project focuses on the preexistence of the Tinturaria Portugalia industry, to which purpose a program with a strong socioeconomic component and with the aim of reutilizing the factory as an engine of a micro-centrality. Throughout this exercise, the dialogue sought between the concepts of the place memory, respect for heritage and contemporaneity.

Повний текст джерелаEsta proposta surge com a necessidade de uma reestruturação urbana do Vale de Chelas, propondo estratégias de consolidação do terreno existente mantendo as características identitárias do local. Com o objetivo de revitalizar a zona Oriental da cidade, é estabelecido um Corredor Verde, salvaguardando o Património Industrial e Conventual existente, aliando-o a um correto sistema hidráulico sob bacias de retenção que ao longo do percurso do Vale, são complementadas sob uma estrutura verde e uma arquitetura planeada. O Convento de Chelas estabelece a entrada e saída do Vale e é neste sentido que foi trabalhado, provendo-o de um planeamento urbano que o enaltece. A presença de um aqueduto em ruína junto a uma das paredes do Convento, onde são também encontrados antigos tanques, é o pretexto para um conjunto de percursos onde a água se faz presenciar, desfrutando da experiência dos sentidos de um elemento natural que influência a vivência do espaço urbano e arquitetónico. O Arquivo Geral do Exército, atual proprietário do conjunto monástico, bem como das Naves Industriais que restam da Antiga Fábrica da Pólvora Seca, requerem uma drástica intervenção e reorganização dos espaços internos, sendo por isso avançada esta proposta de revitalização do conjunto. A propósito de um Claustro, um Portal Manuelino e de um Gerador único no mundo que reside no mesmo lugar até aos dias de hoje, realça-se o objetivo principal deste trabalho que preside na separação entre o espaço privado, pertencente aos militares, e o espaço público cedido à população. Com base nestas premissas, desenvolveu-se uma proposta que pretende resolver estas problemáticas e devolve à comunidade local este pedaço de história.
ABSTRACT: This proposal rise up with the need for an urban restructuring of the Chelas Valley, proposing strategies to consolidate the existing land while maintaining the identity characteristics of the site. With the main objective of revitalizing the eastern zone of the city, a Green Corridor is established, safeguarding the existing Industrial and Conventual Heritage, allying it to a correct hydraulic system under basins of retention that along the course of the Valley, are complemented under a structure green and a planned architecture. The Convent of Chelas establishes the entrance and exit of the Valley and it is in this sense that it was worked, providing it with an urban planning that exalts it. The presence of a ruined aqueduct next to one of the walls of the Convent, where ancient tanks are also found, is the pretext for a set of paths where water is present, enjoying the experience of the senses of a natural element that influences the experience of urban and architectural space. The General Archives of the Army, the present owner of the monastic group, as well as the industrial buildings that remain of the former Pólvora Seca Factory, require a drastic intervention and reorganization of the internal spaces, and this proposal for the revitalization of the whole is therefore advanced. With regard to a Cloister, a Manueline Portal and a unique generator in the world that resides in the same place to this day, the main objective of this work is highlighted, which presides over the separation between the private space belonging to the military, and the public space given to the population. Based on these premises, a proposal has been developed that intends to solve these problems and gives back to the local community this piece of history.

Повний текст джерелаThermophilic members of the Campylobacter genus are recognized as important enteropathogenics for humans and also for other animals. The great diversity of ecological habitats in different organisms such as water, food, and animals may promote new virulence factors. This study aimed at detecting the distending cytolethal toxin (CDT) encoding genes by PCR, studying the activity of hemolysin and also the influence of chelation solutions and ions. A total of 45 samples of C. jejuni from poultry origin, grown in Tryptone Soy Broth (TSB) were used for investigating hemolytic activity. After bacterial growth, samples were plated on Tryptic Soy Agar (TSA) containing 5% sheep, equine or bovine blood, being each blood tested individually. In order to check the influence of chelation agents and ions solution on the hemolytic activity, samples of C. jejuni strains were grown in TSB containing chelation agents individually: EDTA, acetic acid, CaCl2 ion, MgCl2 and FeCl3 solutions, all in microaerophilic atmosphere. Regarding the detection of Campylobacter jejuni hemolysin activity on TSA plates, blood hemolysis were observed in 48.89 % of samples when equine blood was used; in 40% of samples when bovine blood was used and in 31.11 % when the blood used was of sheep origin. The influence of ions and chelation agents in hemolysin activity in TSB when Campylobacter jejuni was plated on TSA with sheep blood can be described as: hemolytic activity was observed at 26.67% of samples when CaCl2 was used, at 15.55 % for FeCl3, 22 22 % for EDTA, 11.11 % for MgCl2 and only 2.22% when acetic acid was used. The hemolytic activity detected when bovine blood - TSA was used indicated 15.55% for CaCl2, 24.44% for FeCl3, 26.26 % for EDTA, 20 % for MgCl2 and 11.11% for acetic acid. In terms of the hemolytic activity when equine blood was used, the results indicated 24.44% for CaCl2, 22.22 % for FeCl3, 28.89 % for EDTA, 28.89 % for MgCl2 and 8.89% for acetic acid. Finally, regarding the detection of cdtA, cdtB and cdtC through PCR, 119 samples of C. jejuni from poultry origin were used. The results indicated that all three genes were present in 38 % of the samples, whereas only two genes were identified in 19 % of samples, while the cdtB gene was singly found in 14%, the cdtC gene was independently observed in 12%, cdtA and cdtB genes together were found in 1% of the samples; the cdtB and cdtC genes associated were detected in 1%, while cdtA alone answered for 1% of detections. The results also showed the presence of C. jejuni strains with virulence potential. The hemolytic activity increased significantly when blood of equine origin was used, and that this activity was reduced when ions or chelating agents were used in combination with the three types of blood cells.

Com a intensificação da produção pecuária são necessários avanços no manejo e adubação das plantas forrageiras, para aumentar a produtividade e manter-se competitivo no setor. A utilização de tecnologias, como a adubação foliar com micronutrientes, torna-se uma importante ferramenta para atingir a plenitude na produção agropecuária. O experimento foi conduzido em casa de vegetação da UNESP, Campus de Dracena, em vasos com capacidade para 4 dm3 de terra, com o objetivo de avaliar a produção de massa seca, teor e quantidade de nutrientes e qualidade bromatológica da forrageira Megathyrsus maximum (syn. Panicum maximum) cv. Mombaça adubado com zinco quelatizado, via foliar, em dois solos com distinta disponibilidade de Zn. O delineamento experimental foi inteiramente casualizado com quatro repetições. Os tratamentos foram arranjados em esquema fatorial 6X2, sendo seis doses foliares de zinco quelatizado, e duas condições de solo (com baixo e médio teor de Zn), acrescidos de um tratamento com sulfato de zinco e dois tratamentos com coquetel de nutrientes. Foram utilizados o Neossolo Quartzarênico, distrófico, fase cerrado, com baixo teor de zinco e o Argissolo Vermelho Amarelo, distrófico, com teores médios de zinco. Nas condições em que foi realizada a pesquisa, os resultados permitem concluir que: a aplicação foliar de Zn quelatizado, coquetel de nutrientes e sulfato de zinco não influenciaram a produção de massa seca do capim-mombaça; o teor de Zn na massa seca do capim-mombaça foi diretamente proporcional à dose de Zn quelatizado via foliar, contribuindo com o fornecimento do micronutriente para alimentação animal; o Zn na adubação foliar reduz os teores de K na massa seca do capim-mombaça cultivado em Argissolo; o teor de Zn no Argissolo aumentou com a aplicação de Zn quelatizado via foliar; o teor de FDN, FDA e PB no capim-mombaça não foi afetado em função da aplicação de Zn quelatizado via foliar; a massa do sistema radicular do capim-mombaça reduziu com a aplicação de Zn quelatizado via foliar no Neossolo Quartzarênico e não apresentou efeito no Argissolo; novos trabalhos de pesquisa devem ser realizados envolvendo o estudo de Zn e adubação foliar para avaliar seus efeitos em plantas forrageiras e suas interações com demais nutrientes.
With the intensification of livestock production are needed advances in the management and fertilization of forage crops, to enhance productivity, reducing costs and remaining competitive in the industry. The use of technologies such as foliar fertilizer with micronutrients, it becomes an important tool to achieve fulfillment in agricultural production. The experiment was conducted at UNESP greenhouse, Campus de Dracena, situated 421 meters above sea level, 21 ° 27 'south latitude and 51 ° 36' west longitude, in pots with a capacity of 4 dm3 of land, in order to evaluate the dry matter production, content and amount of nutrients and chemical quality of the forage Megathyrsus maximum (syn. Panicum maximum) cv. Mombasa fertilized with chelated zinc, foliar, in two soils with different availability of Zn. The experimental design was completely randomized with four replications. The treatments were arranged in a factorial scheme 6X2, six leaf doses of zinc chelate, and two soil conditions (low and medium Zn content), plus a treatment with zinc sulfate and two treatments with cocktail nutrients. The Entisol were used, dystrophic, cerrado phase, with low zinc content and Ultisol, dystrophic, with average zinc content. The conditions under which the survey was conducted, the results showed that: foliar application of chelated Zn cocktail of nutrients and zinc sulfate did not affect the dry matter production of mombaça grass; Zn content in the dry mass of mombaça grass was directly proportional to the dose of chelated Zn foliar contributing to the provision of micronutrient for animal feed; Zn in foliar fertilization reduces the K in the dry mass of mombaça grass grown Ultisol; Zn content in Ultisol increased with the application of chelated Zn foliar; NDF, ADF and CP in mombaça was not affected due to the application of Zn chelated foliar; the mass of the root system of mombaça grass reduced with the application of chelated Zn foliar in Entisol and had no effect on Ultisol; new research work should be carried out involving the study of Zn and foliar application to evaluate its effects on forage plants and their interactions with other nutrients.
