Ecological footprint method was used to estimate the resident’s per capita resource consumption ecological footprint and per capita ecological carrying capacity of Changsha based the statistical data from 1996 to 2009. And the Changsha sustainable development issue was discussed. The results shown that during 1996 to 2009, Changsha per capita ecological footprint of biological resources consumption has a fluctuated upward trend. Ecological footprint per capita consumption of biological resources was dominated. There is a deficit of per capita ecological carrying capacity in Changsha; People activities impact on the regional ecosystem has exceeded the ecological carrying capacity, and it resulting in a greater pressure on the ecosystem. From the perspective of resources ecological carrying capacity, Changsha’s development model is not sustainable in 1996 to 2009. It should be transfer the mode of economic development, improve resource utilization efficiency, and promote the sustainable development of regional resources.

Since the exhibition is an exhibition industry, it has got so much importance by many countries. In China, the development of the said industry is wonderful. Therefore, we use the grey relational model to study the impact of convention. Moreover, the exhibition industry on regional economic development is proposed, and the concept and characteristics of exhibition industry, exhibition economy, and the research results of exhibition industry at home and abroad are expounded in detail. Then, according to the influence mechanism of exhibition industry on regional economy, the grey relational model is used to analyze the economic development of Changsha from 2012 to 2016. The analysis disclosed that the exhibition industry remained the main driving force of Changsha’s economic development in these five years, which effectively promoted the economic development and the benign growth of various industries in Changsha.

This paper constructs an evaluation index system for the suitability of community home and institutional elderly care land development, respectively, from different elderly care modes with the data of urban POI, OSM road network, and expert questionnaires in Changsha urban area in 2021, in order to alleviate the pressure of insufficient land for elderly care brought on by the increasingly serious aging problem. The suitability evaluation index system is based on the intersection of Thiessen polygons with the current elderly care facilities as the center point as the supplementary land for the elderly and explores the optimization path of the land for the elderly in combination with the existing residential land in Changsha. The results show the following: ① The spatial variation of land suitability for both community home and institutional elderly facilities is significant, exhibiting a pattern of “high in the middle and low in the surroundings, with high-value areas clustered in the center of the city, decreasing in suitability toward the periphery, and occasional scattered clusters in the suburbs.” Among them, Furong District has the highest proportion of suitable areas for the elderly; ② Utilizing Changsha’s Tianxin and Yuhua districts as case studies, the optimal path of land use for the elderly are investigated to provide a foundation for land use planning for the elderly in Changsha.

Water footprint theory and method was used to estimate the water footprint of Changsha City in 2009-2012. Based on the estimate of the regional water footprint structure, efficiency indicators of regional water footprint, indicators of water resources sustainable utilization, the water resources utilization status and sustainability was analyzed in Changsha. The results showed that the water footprint and water self-sufficiency rate of Changsha City remained relatively stable in 2009-2012. There not the presence of external dependence of water resources. However, due to the acute annual changes in water resources, Changsha City is still in the imbalance risk of water supply and demand.

In this study, we used a complex network analysis to examine the accessibility features of changing road networks in historic urban areas. We aimed to discover the pattern of evolution after studying the accessibility of the road network in the Changsha historic urban area over four periods of time. The results were as follows: the layout of the urban road network shows repetitive cluster–parent–subsidiary development, which provides evidence of adaptive adjustment in urban road development; vulnerability has been kept low in the changing urban road network, while the spatial framework of the Changsha historic center is fixed; the evolving urban road network generally shows a deteriorating level of stability, which is largely affected by the shape of the network; the degree centrality (1877, 1.87%; 1917, 1.32%; 1987, 1.85%; 2021, 1.51%) of the urban road network shows a decreasing trend, meaning that the network is generally becoming more balanced in its evolution; and the accessibility of land plots currently used to preserve cultural relics and historic sites remains at a medium to low level, and improvements are needed for some plots. In analyzing the changing accessibility of urban roads in the historic center of Changsha city, two major problems for road renewal were identified: (1) unbalanced development of the urban space due to capital-based projects and (2) providing an appropriate increase in plot accessibility while putting equal emphasis on the protection of the spatial framework in the historic urban area. We conclude that a dynamic review of urban road network accessibility and its targeted optimization are of great significance for the protection and development of Changsha’s historic urban area.

The mathematical analysis model of LCC of self-thermal insulation system of external wall that is applicable to Changsha region is established by using degree days and present worth factor. And the LCC of three commonly used self-thermal insulation systems in Changsha is analyzed by using this model. Analysis results have proven that self-thermal insulation system of external wall has very significant comprehensive economic benefits compared with the wall that energy-saving measures are not taken, and it has an important practical significance to promote the development of energy-saving building in Changsha, China.

In order to realize the status of cultivated land resources in Changsha and to protect cultivated land resources. According to output benefit coefficient, consumption and return coefficient, population and substitution coefficient and intensive cultivation coefficient, cultivated land utilization benefits were quantitatively analyzed in Changsha from 2002 to 2011. The results showed that: the trend of the quantity of cultivated land was upward in general in Changsha. But the quality of cultivated land decreased. At the same time, the output benefit of arable land was good in 2004, 2006 and 2008, but the rest of year was lower, and the tendency was dropping. On this basis, the effectiveness of the strategies was improved to use of arable land resources.

Purpose. To compare the initial clinical features, laboratory values, and bone mineral density among patients with primary hyperparathyroidism (PHPT) in Changsha (China) and New Brunswick (USA). Methods. In this retrospective study, we reviewed 169 PHPT patients who presented at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital and 133 PHPT patients who presented at the Second Xiangya Hospital of Central South University in the same time period. The following characteristics were compared between the groups: age, gender, BMI, serum calcium, alkaline phosphatase (AKP), albumin, intact PTH (iPTH), 25-hydroxyvitamin D (25 (OH) D), fasting blood glucose levels, and bone mineral density (BMD). All these parameters were also compared according to gender and menopausal status. iPTH associations were also assessed along with several other parameters. Results. PHPT patients from Changsha had higher serum calcium, iPTH, and AKP levels but lower 25 (OH) D levels than the patients from New Brunswick (p<0.05). Patients in Changsha had lower T-scores and Z-scores in both the lumbar spine and hip regions than those in New Brunswick (p<0.05). Patients in New Brunswick had lower percentages of parathyroid adenoma and kidney stones. Serum iPTH level was positively correlated with serum calcium and serum AKP levels in both Changsha and New Brunswick (p<0.05). Conclusions. There are distinct biochemical and clinical differences between patients with PHPT in China and the United States. Our study revealed that Asian PHPT patients from Changsha presented more severe PHPT profiles, lower bone mineral density, and higher incidence of renal stones.

Physical activity (PA) has declined in China due to urbanization in the past two decades. Evidence-based programs are good approaches to promote PA, but are limited in China. Adopting existing programs can be a viable option. Prior to that, readiness assessment is needed. This study aimed to assess community readiness levels for disseminating evidence-based PA programs to older adults in Changsha, China. In-person interviews were conducted with 33 participants of five districts in Changsha to assess the community readiness level in five dimensions: community knowledge of efforts, community climate, community knowledge about the issue, leadership and resources. Data was transcribed, reviewed and compared with an anchored rating scale to provide a stage of readiness score ranging from 1 (no awareness) to 9 (high level of community ownership). Participants included 14 community staff, 13 older adults, four community leaders and three health professionals. The top three barriers to disseminating PA programs were lack of appropriate locations, funding and instructors. The top three resources were availability of indoor space, chairs and loudspeakers. Community leadership was the highest-rated readiness dimension (3.3 out of 9) followed by community climate (3.2), community knowledge of efforts (3.1) and resources (2.8); knowledge about the issue scored the lowest (2.7). The overall community stage readiness score of Changsha was 3.0 out of 9. The stage of readiness for communities in Changsha, China is ‘vague awareness’. Developing strategies to improve community readiness levels may increase evidence-based PA program dissemination in Changsha, China.

Scientific territorial spatial planning is of great significance in the realization of the sustainable development goals in China, especially in the context of China’s ecological civilization construction and territorial spatial planning. However, limited research has been carried out to understand the spatio-temporal change in EEQ and territorial spatial planning. In this study, Changsha County and six districts of Changsha City were selected as the research objects. Based on the remote sensing ecological index (RSEI) model, the spatio-temporal changes in the EEQ and spatial planning response in the study area during 2003–2018 were analyzed. The results reveal that (1) the EEQ of Changsha declined and then rose between 2003 and 2018, showing an overall decreasing trend. The average RSEI declined from 0.532 in 2003 to 0.500 in 2014 and then increased to 0.523 in 2018, with an overall decrease of 1.7%. (2) In terms of spatial pattern changes, the Xingma Group, the Airport Group and the Huangli Group in the east of the Xiangjiang River had the most serious EEQ degradation. The EEQ degradation of Changsha showed an expanding and polycentric decentralized grouping pattern. (3) Massive construction land expansion during rapid urbanization caused significant EEQ degradation in Changsha. Particularly, the areas with low EEQ were concentrated in the areas with concentrated industrial land. Scientific territorial spatial planning and strict control were conducive to regional EEQ improvement. (4) The prediction using the urban ecological model demonstrates that every 0.549 unit increase in NDVI or 0.2 unit decrease in NDBSI can improve the RSEI of the study area by 0.1 unit, thus improving EEQ. In the future territorial spatial planning and construction of Changsha, it is necessary to promote the transformation and upgrading of low-end industries into high-end manufacturing industries and control the scale of inefficient industrial land. The EEQ degradation caused by industrial land expansion needs to be noted. All of these findings can provide valuable information for relevant decision-makers to formulate ecological environment protection strategies and conduct future territorial spatial planning.

The Changsha–Zhuzhou–Xiangtan region has experienced rapid social and economic development over the past 40 years, and cultivated land has changed dramatically. The contradiction between built and cultivated land has intensified, for which the local government has implemented a series of policies related to cultivated land protection. However, thus far, it is not clear what the substantial effects of the cultivated land protection policies are. To this end, this paper quantitatively characterizes the changes in the Changsha–Zhuzhou–Xiangtan region during the 20 years before and after the implementation of the cultivated land occupation balance policy, based on land use data from 1980, 2000, and 2020 using intensity analysis. In this paper, we examine the types of spatial land use patterns occurring in Changsha–Zhuzhou–Xiangtan since 1980 and explore the transition path of land use types in urban–rural integration. After the cultivated land protection policy, the transformation relationship between land use types and the changing trend of the cultivated land area was analyzed from the landscape scale. The influence of policy factors on the transformation of land use types was revealed. The results show that, from 1980 to 2020, the changing intensity of construction land and unused land was relatively large and was in an active state; the amount of built land in the Changsha–Zhuzhou–Xiangtan region has been growing, with a net increase of 1101 km2, while the amount of cultivated land has been showing a net decrease, with a net reduction of 677 km2. Moreover, the cultivated land has mainly been converted into built land, and the lost cultivated land area in Changsha–Zhuzhou–Xiangtan has not been fully compensated elsewhere in the region, indicating that the cultivated land protection policy has not been able to maintain the cultivated land area in Changsha–Zhuzhou–Xiangtan. From 2000 to 2020, cultivated land change was mainly due to exchange, which indicates that the policy has had a particular effect on the protection of cultivated land. Still, if the government wants to achieve the “balance of cultivated land occupation and compensation” goal, it must establish a complete system for the allocation of cultivated land resources. This study can provide a scientific reference for further implementing the cultivated land protection policy, which is thus of great significance for promoting the construction of the Changsha–Zhuzhou–Xiangtan region and its high-quality economic and social development.

In order to assess polluting condition of heavy metals in sediment of the Xiangjiang River Changsha section, the spatial distribution of four heavy metals were determined in river sediments at six sampling stations. Geo-accumulation Index of heavy metals in superficial sediment of the Xiangjiang River Changsha section was in the decreasing order of Cd>Zn>Pb>Cu. On the whole, the pollution level was moderate-high, and the order of four heavy metals pollution lever was noted in the sequence of Liuyang River entrance of Xiangjiang> Juzizhou Bridge >Houzishi Bridge> the Second Xiangjiang River Bridge > Xiangjiang Super Bridge > Xiangjiang Sanchaji Bridge. The Potential Ecological Risk Evaluation showed that heavy metals ecological risk in sediment of the Xiangjiang River Changsha section was very high, Cd was the primary contribution element, followed by Pb.

During the early stages of the War of Resistance Against Japan (1937-1945), organizations such as theymca(Young Men’s Christian Association) were vital to the local and regional humanitarian relief effort in Changsha, the capital of Hunan province. While the city endured intense bombing from Japanese planes,ymcavolunteers cared for the wounded and dug victims out of rubble. The work of Sophia Zhu Tierong 朱铁荣 (1915-2009) and her husband, Zhang Yifan 张以藩 (1906-1957), were integral to theymca’s leadership and organization. Prior to Changsha’s Fire of 1938, theymcaalso organized an evacuation of refugees from the outskirts of the city to West Hunan. This paper argues that, in the wake of the Nationalist government’s preoccupation with the larger war effort, non-state agencies such as theymcawere critical to the humanitarian relief effort in both the city and region.

In view of the seriously drought and the condition that the water level in Changsha reach continuously break the historical lowest records in recent years, the variation law of low water level in Changsha reach and the impact of the Three Gorges Projects operation on low water level were studied. The results show that the water level in the same discharge and the monthly averaged water level and the lowest water level all decrease year by year, and the appearance time of the lowest water level in recent years is earlier. The lowest water level in Changsha reach isnt much connected with the variation of water level in Dongting lake, but connected with the riverbed undercutting caused by the operation of hydro-junction and the excavation of sand. The appearance time advance of the lowest water level is connected with the Three Gorges Projects operation.

Based on meteorological observation data and environmental monitoring data of Changsha in the period from 1970 to 2012, this paper analyzes the distribution characteristics and import factors of the haze weather in Changsha. The results show that in the recent forty-three years, haze in Changsha is on the rise as a whole, and the haze weather mainly concentrates in autumn and winter. During the occurrence of the haze weather, the annual sunshine durations and the annual mean temperature are positively correlated with the haze weather, the annual precipitation is negatively correlated with the haze weather, and the concentration of PM2.5is significantly positively correlated with the occurrence of the haze weather, with the correlation coefficient of 0.893, indicating that PM2.5is the primary factor for the haze weather. Therefore, the control of PM2.5will be the key in reducing the haze pollution and improving the ambient air quality.

The author deeply studied agricultural mechanization level from the year of 1994 to 2012 in Changsha with Path analysis method. The research found that the peasant cultural levels, rural labor transfer rate and the peasants' income level were the leading factors deciding on agricultural mechanization level in Changsha. The direct influence of arable land per capita was not great while its indirect contribution by other influence such as the peasant cultural levels and rural labor transfer rate. Finally constructive suggestions were put forward to give impetus to develop agricultural mechanization.

Based upon the "pressure-state-response" concept frame model, an index system including three project layer indicators had been established for the evaluation of local land eco-security. The project layers were selected as land ecological pressure, land ecological status and land ecological response. 17 indicators had been adopted to describe the status of the criteria layers. The index weight was determined by analytic hierarchy process and entropy weight method. Then the value of local land eco-security can be obtained by composite index method. During the analyses, Changsha area including 5 districts and 4 counties was taken as an example. The results show that the land eco-security value in the area in 2010 is among 0.5419~0.6876. It has been found that there exists a certain gap between the main urban area and counties, and the status of land eco-security in each county is generally better than that in the main urban area.

Three cases of the avian influenza A (H9N2) virus have been documented in Changsha, which is a large city that has nine districts and a population of 7.04 million in central South China. Among these patients, one was a girl and two were boys. The ages of the patients were 9 months, 2 years, and 15 years. Two cases of H9N2 were detected in September, 2015 and one was detected in 2017. Two patients were children who had not reached the age for kindergarten and one was a student. These three cases were all mild and were detected in a sentinel hospital of the Chinese Influenza Surveillance System. We describe the clinical and epidemiological features of the youngest patient with H9N2 in 2017 and the surveillance results of the H9N2 virus in live poultry markets in Changsha. From January 2014 to December 2017, 4212 samples were collected in live poultry markets in Changsha, among which 25.81% (1087/4212) were H9N2-positive. Public health concerns should be addressed for emerging H9N2 virus infection, and more strategies should be performed before this virus mutates to be more transmissible and highly pathogenic.

Using an appropriate evaluation index for energy consumption is advantageous for evaluating energy saving effect of buildings correctly and carrying out energy-saving action reasonably. As a result, it is important to establish a practical quota of energy consumption for promoting energy-saving emission reduction. Energy consumption for residential buildings has been influenced by the behavior of residents in the building largely, and has a higher uncertainty, so it brings great difficulty to researches. Considering the characteristics of residential buildings, this paper uses comprehensive energy consumption per unit as evaluation index. Based on the investigation results and related studies, the residential buildings in Changsha are analyzed with statistical methods, in order to know more about the energy consumption level and structure for the residential buildings in Changsha. This paper shows the characteristics of the energy consumption of the residential buildings in Changsha, and work out the range of the comprehensive energy consumption per unit. The result provides a reference to make out energy policy and enhance the management of energysaving. It can be also used to guide the residents have a reasonable electric power utilization.

Exploring the heterogeneous characteristics of the urban expansion process is essential for understanding the dynamics of the urban spatial structure. Many studies focused on depicting the spatio-temporal characteristics based on urban expansion patches. However, measuring heterogeneous characteristics of urban expansion from agglomeration areas comprising the expanded urban construction land patches have not been adequately explored. This study presents a novel approach and two improved indices for characterizing the heterogeneity of urban spatial agglomeration areas during urban expansion. Firstly, we proposed a Gaussian mixture model considering multiple constrains and density-based spatial clustering of applications with noise (DBSCAN) integration method to identify and extract the urban agglomeration areas automatically. Secondly, the gradient analysis and the compact index using the inverse “S” function are introduced to explore the spatio-temporal characteristics from a macrocosmic perspective. Finally, the compactness index (NCI) and normalized dispersion index (NDIS) are improved based on agglomeration area data. The microcosmic heterogeneous characteristics are measured by these two improved indices and the positional offset characteristics indices (POCIS). The method was implemented in the urban area of Changsha, Hunan Province, China in 2005, 2010, and 2015. The results show that (1) compared to that in the Changsha City Master Plan (2003–2020), the recognition rate was higher in the agglomeration areas than others. (2) The overall expansion trend in Changsha transitioned toward decentralization, making Changsha a polycentric city. (3) The agglomeration of urban expansion in the east-west direction became compact; that in the north-south direction became looser; most clusters expanded to the west and a new sub-center would appear. The proposed method can effectively characterize their heterogeneity, which can provide valuable references for urban planning and policymaking.

For the Wuyi Square Station of Changsha Subway is close to Wan Dai Hotel, the construction process is simulated by FEM software Abaqus to research the settlement and distortion of the hotel building in this paper. To simulate the soil layers and diaphragm walls, compared seepage and stress are considered in the three dimensional elastic-plasticity model, in which the building is replaced by uniform load on the ground and horizontal supports are simulated by uniform load or moving distances. The vertical displacement of building foundation has been calculated, and recharging water has been simulated outside the pit. Finally, the control standards of building settlement are proposed to control the construction security of Changsha Metro Line 2.

Frequent high-rise building fires have posed serious threats to urban public safety. In this study, real-time travel times extracted from online maps were applied to estimate fire service coverage rates for high-rise buildings. Firstly, the minimum fire apparatus requirement for high-rise building “at least 1 water fire truck and 1 aerial fire truck should arrive at the fire scene of high-rise building within 240 s” was proposed. Then, a dynamic estimation model of fire service coverage rate for high-rise buildings was established. To validate the model, 5146 high-rise buildings, 61 water fire trucks, and 56 aerial fire trucks in Changsha were selected as case studies. The results show that the total effective coverage rate and total average travel time in Changsha are 20.43% and 421.95 s, respectively. There are 10,840 water fire trucks and 6192 aerial fire trucks in China. Based on the average number of water fire trucks and aerial fire trucks per high-rise building, it can be estimated that the total effective coverage rate in China may not exceed 60.00%. Due to limited fire resources and frequent traffic congestion, only partial high-rise buildings can be effectively covered by fire services, whether in Changsha or China.

Using the methods of literature review, regression analysis and moving average, this paper selects the daily precipitation of Changsha and Chengde from 1951 to 1986 as samples, and analyzes the average precipitation, precipitation frequency, precipitation intensity, extreme precipitation time and other indicators of Changsha and Chengde from the perspective of interannual and seasonal changes Trends. The researches show that: the average precipitation of Changsha in the 36 years is 1151.2mm, spring is the wet season, autumn and winter are the dry seasons, and the maximum average precipitation is in spring; the average annual precipitation, precipitation frequency in spring, summer and winter, annual precipitation frequency, annual precipitation intensity and extreme precipitation events show a decreasing trend. The average annual precipitation of Chengde city is 454.1 mm, wet season in summer and dry season in spring, autumn and winter; the average annual precipitation, precipitation in four seasons, annual precipitation frequency, precipitation frequency in spring, autumn and winter, annual precipitation intensity and extreme precipitation events show a decreasing trend, while the precipitation frequency in summer shows an increasing trend. The study of regional climate change based on the time series data of this stage is of great significance to comprehensively understand the law of regional climate change and predict the future trend of climate change.

In recent years, children’s and adolescents’ growth and development issues have received increasing attention with the socioeconomic development. The etiology of child short stature involves heredity, race, sex, nutrition, and a variety of endocrine hormones, which is very complex. The age of 6∼14 is the key period of children’s development. Understanding the height characteristics, the prevalence of short stature, and its influencing factors at this stage and formulating preventive measures as soon as possible are conducive to improving the average height of children and reducing the incidence of short stature. In this study, cluster sampling was used to select 56,865 children and adolescents aged 6∼14 years old from 40 primary and secondary schools in Furong District of Changsha City, and the height of each child and adolescent was measured. The results showed that the overall crude prevalence of short stature in children aged 6∼14 in Furong District of Changsha is 2.82%. Growth hormone level <10 μg/L, pubertal retardation, familial short stature, low egg intake, and intrauterine growth retardation are independent risk factors affecting the occurrence of short stature. In order to improve the status quo of short stature of children aged 6∼14 in Furong District, Changsha City, targeted intervention should be strengthened for people with combined high risk factors.

This article explores the role of Chinese Christian women in the internationalization of Chinese education in the early twentieth Century. In particular, it examines the changing relationship between Church Missionary Society (CMS) missionary Louise Barnes, and Zeng Baosun, the great granddaughter of Zeng Guofan. Zeng Baosun was born in 1893 in Changsha, educated at the CMS's Mary Vaughan School in Hangzhou, and became the first Chinese woman to graduate from the University of London, before returning to China to establish a Christian school for girls in Changsha (Yifang) in 1918. Although an extraordinary example because of her elite family background, Zeng's story highlights how Chinese women used the networks to which their Christian education exposed them on a local, national and international scale to play an important role in the exchange of educational ideas between China and the West during the early twentieth century. The story of the relationship between Zeng and Barnes also reveals the changing power dynamics between foreign missionaries and Chinese Christians in the process of indigenizing the church in China: the roles of teacher and pupil were reversed upon their return to Changsha, with Zeng serving as headmistress of her own school and Barnes as a teacher.

This article aims to promote the high-quality development of the Great Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan City Group and improve the green innovation efficiency of urban agglomeration. This article takes green innovation in networked urban agglomerations as its research subject. Furthermore, it analyzes the impact of network structure characteristics such as network scale and network structure hole on green innovation in urban agglomerations. Moreover, this study uses the unexpected output SBM model to measure green innovation efficiency of the eight prefecture-level cities in the Great Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan City Group from 2012 to 2018 and analyzes its influencing factors using the panel Tobit model. The results show that the overall green innovation efficiency of the Great Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan City Group is stable. The distribution of urban green innovation efficiency in the region is characterized by urban gradient and mid-stream drive. In the process of networked innovation, economic development, which has a positive impact on green innovation, promotes the overall effectiveness of the network structure. The low efficiency of urban educational resources, which has a negative impact on green innovation, leads to the redundancy of a network scale. The unapparent advantage of industrial structures, which have a negative impact on the development of green innovation, leads to the insufficient depth and breadth of network openness. Lastly, government support and the level of infrastructure have no impact on green innovation.

With the advent of the 21st century, China has entered the era of the Internet, and the tourism industry has continued to develop. The demand for domestic tourism and national leisure consciousness has been continuously improved. As the transformation of tourism forms has gradually shifted to leisure, experience and diversification, micro-tourism springs up. In 2011, micro-tourism was officially put on the agenda as an emerging form of tourism. After that, it became popular and developed rapidly. Large numbers of micro-tourism products dominated by 1-2 days of hot spring tour, ancient town tour, island tour, country tour, and suburb tour were launched online instantly. This paper first expounds the background, formation, development and characteristics of micro-tourism and then interprets the current development of micro-tourism from online survey data, finding that the development of micro-tourism market is good, but the related facilities and systems are comparatively lagging behind. Finally, the paper analyzes the micro-tourism resources and development conditions of Changsha city, finding that the foundation and market platform for developing micro-tourism in Changsha is sound. Given the actual development, the paper then puts forward development strategy for micro-tourism of Changsha City under the background of the Internet era, which may provide reference for other cities with similar conditions to develop micro-tourism.

SummaryThis paper reports the results of a June 1980 survey of 1069 children in Changsha, Hunan Province. The data have been unavailable previously either in Chinese or in English. In general, they suggest that comparisons of single children with children from multiple-child families in China regarding quality of life, intellectual development, and behavioural traits are similar to comparisons conducted in the United States and other western countries. As in many western studies, single children in China appear to have a better quality of life than children with siblings. Regarding intellectual development, single children in China perform better than those with siblings, a finding which is consonant with the family intactness model of Falbo. Single children in Changsha are little different from ones from multiple-child families on various aspects of behaviour, and are more co-operative and less hostile. These findings are the opposite of those of the Shanghai study, the other major analysis of single children in China; the Shanghai survey indicated that single children were not as well-behaved as those with siblings, a finding that caused some concern among Chinese social scientists. To the extent that the findings of the Changsha study, and not those of the Shanghai study, reflect the situation of single children in China, this could mean that the one-child family planning campaign may not be having a negative impact on children's behaviour.

The objective of this study was to examine longitudinal trends in the prevalence of dogs that are successfully immunized against rabies virus (as measured by sufficient serum antibodies) in Changsha, an urban center of China. The secondary objective was to investigate the factors affecting the seroprevalence of rabies virus antibodies in dogs. In this study, 4515 canine serum samples were collected from 57 pet hospitals (immunization points) during the period of 2015–2021 in five major urban areas of Kaifu, Furong, Tianxin, Yuhua, and Yuelu in Changsha, China. The enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) method was used to analyze the level and trend of rabies virus antibodies in serum and further evaluate the potential factors affecting the immunization effect from five factors: sex, age, time interval after most recent vaccination and sample collection, number of vaccinations, and vaccine manufacturer. The results showed that the seroconversion from the urban dog in Changsha steadily increased from 46.13% to 73.38% during 2015–2017. The seropositivity prevalence remained above the international standard (70%) from 2018 to 2020 and up to 90.99% in 2021. Further analysis showed that the seroconversion of rabies virus among dogs was significantly affected by the age, the number of vaccinations, time interval after the most recent vaccination and sample collection, and vaccine manufacturer, while sex had less influence. The overall rabies vaccination situation in urban areas of Changsha generally meets international standards, with only a few areas showing low levels of antibodies in dogs after vaccination and risk of infectiousness. Therefore, it is recommended that the first vaccination should be given when the dog is about three months old and regularly repeated every year after that. At the same time, antibody concentrations in dogs, especially in newborn puppies and older dogs, need to be tested promptly after vaccination at the required time to ensure that they are at a high level of immune protection, which can strengthen the supervision of rabies.

Based on the statistical data of Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan (CZT) urban agglomeration from the year 2005 to 2010, the environmental learning curves of sulfur dioxide emission per 10 thousand Yuan (RMB) production value and per capita gross domestic product (GDP) were established, and sulfur dioxide emission reduction potential of these cities was analyzed. The results show that the sulfur dioxide emission per 10 thousand Yuan production value declined exponentially with the increase of per capital GDP. From the perspective of time, the sulfur dioxide emission per 10 thousand Yuan production value is declining year by year along with economical development and level of technology improvement; from the perspective of space, the city with the largest potential of sulfur dioxide emission reduction is Zhuzhou, followed by Xiangtan, and then Changsha.

Анотація:
This paper aims to evaluate the optimum tilt angle of PV modules on louvered PV façade in Changsha - a city located at middle and low latitude, and representative cloudy climate conditions in Central China. Within these climate conditions, this research discusses the influences of external and internal factors on photoelectric conversion efficiency and shading effect of louvered PV façade. The research result shows that the external and internal design factors of louvered PV façade take opposite effects on the louver tilt angle. Under the influence of external factors, the preferred value interval will be βopt≈Φ and βopt<Φ, whereas under the influence of the internal design factors, the preferred value interval is Φ and above. Taking all factors into consideration, the optimal tilt angle of the PV louver in Changsha is selected as 30°.

Transportation facilitates the flow of tourists generating tourist flows, which produce flow effects on the spatial scale. By analyzing the evolution of tourist flows in Zhangjiajie by various modes of transportation over a long time series, the results show that the degree of development of the destination transportation network affects the dominance of the tourism node. Specifically, in the “train period”, Zhangjiajie, Changsha, Fenghuang, and Jishou core destinations become dominant with the “Matthew Effect”. In the “road period”, Jishou and Mengdonghe destinations decline, with the “Filtering Effect”. In the “high-speed railway period”, Zhangjiajie and Changsha are connected with more distant origins, and the “Diffusion Effect” occurs. It is worth noting that the development of high-speed rail has created a substitution effect for trains over long distances, and self-driving has created a substitution effect for trains over short and medium distances.
