Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kondisi objektif anak yang mengalami keterlambatan bicara. Terapi wicara adalah salah satu cara untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut. Terapi wicara dalam penelitian ini di fokuskan dalam pembentukan konsonan b/p/m/w. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk meningkatkan kemampuan bicara anak usia empat tahun. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif menggunakan observasi dan wawancara untuk menggali data anak dengan keterlambatan bicara. Subjek penelitian merupakan anak lambat bicara usia empat tahun yang berjumlah satu orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Perkembangan bahasaan bicara pada tahap ekolalia, 2) Terapi wicara melalui tahapan visual, auditoris, dan haptik, 3) Melalui tahapan visual dan haptik RM mampu mengucapkan dua sampai tiga suku kata, 4) Tahapan haptik RM tidak mengalami masalah. Webb, Thorax 59:948–951, 2004,http://dx.doi.org/10.1136/thx.2003.017210).B. cenocepaciaoften possesses innate resistance to multiple antimicrobial classes, making eradication uncommon in established infection (P. B. Davis, Am J Respir Crit Care Med 173:475–482, 2006,http://dx.doi.org/10.1164/rccm.200505-840OE). We report the use of clinafloxacin in a CF patient with advancedB. cenocepaciainfection, present pharmacokinetic (PK) data, and discuss the potential therapeutic role of clinafloxacin in patients with this condition.

Major contributions to machining and grinding research in the US came in the twentieth century. The seminal work by Frederick Winslow Taylor on the Art of Cutting Metals published in 1907 was the beginning of a series of serious and systematic studies on the various aspects of metal cutting and grinding in this century. This monumental work, which became an American classic, continues to inspire many a researcher in this field even today. It was followed by the works of other pioneers, including Orlan W Boston, Hans Ernst, M E Martellotti, Max Kronenberg, M Eugene Merchant, Milton C Shaw, Michael Field, John Kahles, K J Roubik, K Armitage, Ken Trigger, B T Chao, Alfred Schmidt, William W Gilbert, Fran Boulger, Lester Colwell, Carl Oxford, Erich Thomsen, Robert Hahn, and many others. Many of the associates of the pioneers including Nathan Cook, Iain Finnie, B F von Turkovich, Shiro Kobayaski, Inyong Ham, E Loewen, and others including W B Rice, S M Wu, and J Tlusty have made significant contributions to these fields in their own right. There is no doubt that this century will be heralded by the historians as the golden age of metal cutting and grinding research, particularly the period between 1940 and 1960. It was, however, M Eugene Merchant’s paper on the Basic Mechanics of the Metal Cutting Process in 1945 that took a giant step from the art of metal cutting to the science of metal cutting. This work laid the foundation for much of the work that is practiced today. It can be stated unequivocally that because of the significant contributions by the pioneers and their associates, metal cutting and grinding research today is rich in its heritage and contents, and has contributed towards the improvement of manufacturing productivity. It has thereby facilitated the improvement of living standards around the world. In this review, the following ten topics are addressed briefly: Physics of Machining; Mechanics of Machining; Shear and Friction in Machining; Thermal Aspects of Machining and Grinding; Tool Materials, Tool Wear, and Machinability; Multiple Cutting Points; Grinding; Vibrations in Machining; Surface Integrity; and Economics of Machining.

Sloshing dapat diartikan sebagai gerakan bebas dari fluida cair di dalam sebuah wadah. Masalah sloshing menjadi fenomena penting dalam sebuah analisis gerakan fluida, karena dapat menyebabkan kerusakan pada struktur dalam tangki. Penelitian ini menjelaskan pengaruh adanya penambahan anti-sloshing terhadap besarnya pressure pada tangki kotak bermuatan LNG akibat pengaruh gerakan rolling yang terjadi pada kapal. Pemodelan tangki dilakukan dengan menyederhanakan tangki LNG berjenis membrane GT NO.96 menjadi tangki kotak (rectangular tank) dengan ukuran panjang (B) 39.36 m dan tinggi (H) 27.89 m menggunakan software permodelan mesh. Terdapat beberapa variasi yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini yaitu, variasi pengisian muatan tangki dengan ketinggian 20%, 40%, 50%, dan 80% dari tinggi tangki, variasi penambahan anti-sloshing vertikal, variasi dimensi anti-sloshing horizontal dengan variasi perbandingan panjang anti-sloshing (W) dan panjang tangki (B), rasio W/B adalah 0.2 dan 0.3, variasi dimensi anti-sloshing horizontal dengan variasi jarak plat anti-sloshing terhadap bagian atas tangki (h) dan tinggi tangki (H), rasio h/H adalah 0.4 dan 0.5, variasi dimensi anti-sloshing dengan variasi sudut plat anti-sloshing (θ) terhadap arah horizontal adalah 0o, 5o, dan 10o, serta variasi gerakan tangki dengan periode (T) 17 s, 18 s, 20 s, 21 s, dan 25 s. Proses simulasi dilakukan dengan metode Computational Fluid Dynamic (CFD) menggunakan bantuan software. Dari hasil simulasi dapat disimpulkan bahwa penambahan plat anti-sloshing horizontal tidak lebih efektif untuk mengurangi besarnya pressure yang terjadi di dalam tangki apabila dibandingkan dengan penambahan plat anti-sloshing vertikal.

Celem pracy była ocena zawartości wybranych pierwiastków (Ca, Mg, Cu, Fe, Mn i Zn) w różnych rodzajach czekolad. Analizie poddano 20 czekolad, w tym: białe (B), mleczne (M) i gorzkie (G) o różnej zawartości masy kakaowej. Pogrupowano je według zawartości suchej masy kakaowej następująco [%]: G6 – 60, G7 – 70, G8 – do 85, G9 – 90. Suchą masę w próbkach oznaczono metodą suszarkowo-wagową. Oznaczenie zawartości Ca, Mg, Cu, Fe, Mn i Zn wykonano metodą płomieniowej atomowej spektrometrii absorpcyjnej (F-AAS) przy użyciu spektrometru AAS-3 Carl-Zeiss po uprzedniej mineralizacji próbek techniką spopielenia w piecu muflowym. Zaobserwowano istotnie większą zawartość Mg, Fe, Zn, Mn oraz Cu w czekoladach gorzkich w porównaniu z czekoladami mleczną i białą. Zawartość tych pierwiastków była tym większa, im większy był udział kakao w czekoladzie. W czekoladach gorzkich zawartość magnezu wynosiła 1545,40 ÷ 2862,55 µg/g s.m. Wykazano także znaczne ilości cynku (356,70 ÷ 511,35 µg/g s.m.) i żelaza (127,47 ÷ 155,74 µg/g s.m.), a mniejsze – miedzi (16,49 ÷ 25,37 µg/g s.m.) i manganu (15,85 ÷ 21,46 µg/g s.m.). Z kolei w czekoladach mlecznych i białych przeważał wapń, którego zawartość wahała się w granicach 3396,21 ÷ 4313,44 µg/g s.m. Czekolady gorzkie o większej zawartości suchej masy kakaowej mogą być dobrym źródłem Mg, Fe, Zn oraz Mn i Cu w diecie. Natomiast znaczącymi nośnikami wapnia mogą być czekolady białe i mleczne.

Heart disease is the leading cause of death and is often accompanied by cardiac fibrillation. Defibrillation using the virtual electrode effects is a promising alternative compared to using the high-voltage electric shock in the clinic. Our earlier works [S. L. Murphy, K. D. Kochanek, J. Ditto, and A. T. Winfree, Nature 392, 78–82 (1998); M. Santini, C. Pandozi, G. Altamura, G. Gentilucci, M. Villani, M. C. Scianaro, A. Castro, F. Ammirati, and B. Magris, J. Interv. Card. Electrophysiol. 3, 45–51 (1999).] prove that, compared with other external electric fields, a low voltage circularly polarized electric field is more efficient in turning non-excitable defects in cardiac tissue into virtual electrodes. It, therefore, needs lower voltage to stimulate the excitation waves and causes less harm to reset the spiral turbulence of cardiac excitation for defibrillation. In this paper, we investigate the virtual electrode effect of multiple defects by the circularly polarized electric field for the removal of spiral turbulence. Considering different shapes, sizes, and distributions of multiple defects, we reveal the phase locking of stimulated excitations around multiple virtual electrodes. Furthermore, the circularly polarized electric field parameters are optimized to remove the spiral turbulence.

The mistletoe Psittacanthus macrantherus Eichl. (Loranthaceae) is an important parasite of pines (Pinus spp., Pinaceae) in Mexico (1). It has been reported to parasitize Pinus engelmannii Carr., P. herrerai Mart., P. lawsonii Roezl ex Gord. & Glend., P. lumholtzii Robins & Fern., P. oocarpa Schiede, and P. pseudostrobus Lindl. (1). During July 2005, we found this mistletoe parasitizing P. devoniana Lindl. and Quercus castanea Nee near Route 40 in Sinaloa, Mexico approximately 12 km west of El Palmito (23°30′N, 105°07′W, elevation 1,900 m). The mistletoe was common in P. devoniana, and some trees were severely infected (>10 plants per tree). However, no mortality associated with mistletoe infection in P. devoniana was observed. Only one infected tree of Q. castanea was observed in this area and it was not severely infected. We also observed this mistletoe on P. douglasiana Mart. along Route 40 west and east of El Palmito, but no specimens were collected because plants were very high in the crowns of the infected trees. To our knowledge, this is the first report of this mistletoe parasitizing P. devoniana, P. douglasiana, and Q. castanea (1). 373 Background: Over the past decade survival of patients (pts) with CRC has improved. Although, the mortality rate for CRC is lower in Hispanics (H) than Whites (W), the decrease in mortality has been smaller among H during this period. H are the largest and minority in U.S. and therefore it is important to explain the discordant improvement in their outcome from CRC. We conducted a retrospective review of our CRC pts to determine whether treatment (TX) related factors would explain the observed difference in the outcome. Methods: Data for pts treated with at least one cycle of chemotherapy (CT) in the first line setting for met CRC at Los Angeles County Hospital and Norris Cancer Center between 2004 and 2011 were collected. Pts, disease, and TX related factors were reviewed and included for analysis. H were compared to non-Hispanics (NH) including Asians (A), Blacks (B), and W as a group and to W. Descriptive statistics were used to describe the population and where appropriate chi-square, Wilcoxon, and log-rank tests were used for comparison between the groups. Results: A total of 190 pts, 53% H, 24% A, 10% B, and 13% W were included for analysis. The median age of the population was 55 (21-82) years. 72 % of pts had de-novo met disease. 47% of patients had left, 24% right sided, and 29% rectal cancer. One-third of the patients received bevacizumab in the first line setting. Median time (MT) from first symptom to presentation was 85 days (d); 87 d in H and 74 d in NH (P=0.57). MT from diagnosis to TX was 70 d; 72 d H and 69 d NH (P=0.79). The median time from first TX to progression (TTP) was 8.9 (95% CI: 9.9-12.9) months (m) in H, 11.5 m in NH (P=0.058), and 12.6 m in W (P=0.079). Median BMI was 25.6; 26.5 in H, 24.1 in NH (P=0.001). There was no significance statistical difference between site of the disease, type and number of cycles of CT among the groups. Conclusions: Despite similar access to care in H and NH in our cohort, TTP is shorter for H than NH and W. Although the P is nonsignificant in this small sample, the trend is intriguing. The results need to be confirmed in larger cohorts and prospective studies. Given that the TX for met CRC is mostly unchanged since 2004, the results suggest an inherent biological difference between H and NH with obesity playing a significant role in the outcome.

Emulsion is dispersion system, which consist of two or more immiscible liquids. If this system is not stable, particle dispersed will form separate layer. The degree of instability will be greater if size of dispersed particles is not uniform. Generally, emulsion is produced by using high speed homogenizer, which will destruct the product. Some technology has been developed to overcome this problem. One of such technology is membrane emulsification, where the emulsion is flowed through the membrane so the size of particles will be smaller and more uniform. Symmetric membrane, which is used effectively to produce emulsion, has been used in this research. From the experiments, it has been proved that 28 microns membrane could produce emulsion, which has small and uniform size of particles. Emulsion with feed concentration of 10 % w/w and concentration of surfactant 3 % w/w has the highest degree of stability with particle sizes in the range of 3.5–13.5 microns. Jika sistem ini tidak stabil, maka partikel terdispersi akan bergabung membentuk lapisan terpisah. Ketidakstabilan emulsi semakin tinggi jika ukuran partikel terdispersi besar dan distribusi ukurannya tidak seragam. Umumnya pembuatan emulsi dilakukan dengan pengadukan kecepatan tinggi yang merugikan jika bahan sensitif terhadap tekanan. Banyak cara dikembangkan untuk mengatasi hal ini, salah satunya adalah teknologi membran emulsifikasi, dimana emulsi dilewatkan melalui membran agar ukuran partikel terdispersi menjadi lebih kecil dan seragam sehingga emulsi stabil. Membran simetris yang efektif untuk memproduksi emulsi adalah membran mikrofiltrasi berslot seperti dalam penelitian ini. Hasil percobaan menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan membran berslot 28 m memberikan ukuran dan distribusi partikel yang kecil dan seragam. Emulsi minyak dalam air yang paling stabil adalah pada konsentrasi umpan 10% (b/b) dan konsentrasi surfaktan 3% (b/b) dengan ukuran partikel berkisar antara 3,5–13,5 µm. Teh merupakan minuman yang dihasilkan dari pucuk daun tanaman Camellia sinensis yang tumbuh di pegunungan pada ketinggian 600–2500 m dpl. Teh hitam merupakan jenis teh yang banyak dikonsumsi masyarakat Indonesia. Teh ini diproduksi dengan cara fermentasi melalui proses oksidasi enzimatis katekin oleh polifenol oksidase. Teh hitam yang dikemas dalam bentuk the celup banyak digemari konsumen. Tujuan dari penelitian ini mengetahui konsentrasi polyfenol dalam teh hitam celup komersial. Sampel teh hitam celup komersial dengan merk dagang TP, TDT, TB, TL, TD, dan TM diproduksi oleh enam perkebunan teh di Jawa Tengah yang diperoleh secara acak dari swalayan di Kota Semarang. Kandungan polyfenol pada sampel teh hitam celup dianalisa dengan menggunakan spetrofotometer UV-Vis pada panjang gelombang 725nm. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa teh hitam celup komersial yang beredar di Kota Semarang telah memenuhi standard SNI 3753–2014, dengan rata-rata konsentrasi polyfenol 8,83-43,63 %b/b. Analisa Zscore menunjukkan tidak ada perbedaan yang sangat nyata antar konsentrasi polyfenol di enam sampel teh hitam celup komersial, hal ini dimungkinkan dengan adanya standarisasi proses produksi teh hitam di berbagai industri teh di Indonesia. Dan teh hitam celup komersial TDT mempunyai konsentrasi polyfenol diatas rata-rata yaitu 43,63 % b/b. Tea is a drink produced from the leaves of the Camellia sinensis plant that thrives in the mountains at an altitude of 600–2500 m above sea level. Black tea is a type of tea that is widely consumed by Indonesian people. Black tea is produced by fermentation, namely the process of enzymatic oxidation of catechins by polyphenol oxidase. Black tea is produced in several packages, including as black tea bags. The purpose of this study was to determine the concentration of polyphenols in commercial black tea bags. Samples of commercial black tea bags with the trademarks TP, TDT, TB, TL, TD, and TM were produced by six tea plantations in Central Java which were obtained randomly from supermarkets/stores in Semarang City. The polyphenol content in black teabag samples was analyzed using a UV-Vis spectrophotometer at a wavelength of 725nm. The results showed that the commercial black tea bags marketed in the Semarang City had met the standards of SNI 3753–2014, with an average polyphenol concentration of 8.83-43.63% w/w. The Zscore analysis showed that there was no significant difference between the concentrations of polyphenols in the six samples of commercial black tea bags, this may cause by the standardization of black tea production processes in various tea industries in Indonesia, but commercial black tea bags with the trademark TDT had polyphenol concentrations above the average is 43.63% w/w.

AbstractOver the past two decades, Los Angeles County has implemented a Hospital Emergency Response Team (HERT) to provide on-scene, advanced surgical care of injured patients as an element of the local Emergency Medical Services (EMS) system. Since 2008, the primary responsibility of the team has been to perform surgical procedures in the austere field setting when prolonged extrication is anticipated. Following the maxim of “life over limb,” the team is equipped to provide rapid amputation of an entrapped extremity as well as other procedures and medical care, such as anxiolytics and advanced pain control. Given that treatments (TX) for early stage CRC is unchanged we speculate that the gap is due to poorer outcome in the MET setting. Delivery of HC is identified as one of the factor for poor outcomes. We examined the relationship between HC delivery (public or private hospital) and TX as the drivers of poorer outcome in H. Methods: We identified CRC patients (pts) with at least one cycle of chemotherapy (CT) in the first line MET setting at Los Angeles County Hospital (LAC-public hospital) and Norris Cancer Center (NCC-Private hospital) between 2004-2011. Demographics; tumor and TX related factors were collected. Primary endpoint was TTP (time from first day to progression on first line CT). Descriptive statistics were used to describe the population and where appropriate chi-square, Wilcoxon, and log-rank tests were used for comparison between the groups. Results: 251 pts, 45%H, 26%W, 20% Asian (A) and 9%Black (B) were included. The median age of the population was 55 (21-82) years. 55% of pts were male.74 % of pts had de-novo MET disease. 48% of pts had left sided, 27% right sided and 25% rectal cancer. 71% of pts treated at LAC and 29% at NCC. 46% of pts at LAC and 56% at NCC received bevacizumab (BEV) as part of their TX (p= 0.26). Median TTP in H was 10.2 months (m) (95% CI: 8.1-11.8), and in W was 16.8 m (95% CI: 11.2-27.2; P<0.05). Hispanics who were TX at LAC had longer TTP in comparison to H at NCC (p= 0.01). In multivariate analysis, race remained a significant predictor of TTP (p=0.001). Conclusions: H are the largest and fastest growing minority in the US, identification of factors of disparate outcome is crucial. This study revealed a significant association between race and TTP. Use of BEV for MET CRC became a standard TX in 2004 and since then TX is mostly unchanged. Our cohort received homogenous TX with regards to use of BEV. The results show that H regardless of HC setting have shorter TTP than W suggesting an inherent biological difference in the tumor or response to TX. Future biomarker studies will shed light on the cause.

Synthesis of b-keto-sulfones using alkyl/aryl sulphinates in ionic liquids as en efficient and reusable medium is described. Reaction of α-haloketones with sodium alkyl/aryl sulphinates in ionic liquid afforded the corresponding sulfones in excellent yields. Obtained products were characterized using IR, 1HNMR, 13CNMR and Mass Spectroscopy. Introduction b-keto-sulfones are of great importance in organic synthesis. The presence of sulfone group, in an organic compound adds variety to its chemical architecture1 and also enhances the biological activity of the compound. The methylene and methyl sulfones are very good a-carbanion-stabilizing substituents because strong –IE by the sulfone, but they do not involves conjugation with α-protons. However, the presence of keto group at 3rd position to the sulfone group, adds variety to its functionalities, known as b-keto-sulfones, which are very important group of intermediates as they are used in Michael and Knoevenagel reactions,­2,3 in the preparation of acetylenes, allenes, chalcones,4-9 vinylsulfones10 and polyfunctionalized 4H-pyrans.11 In addition, they are useful for the synthesis of optically active b-hydroxysulfones13 and α-halo methylsulfones.14 This has led to development of novel synthetic methodologies for these compounds. Although several methods of synthesis of ketosulfones have been reported in literature, which includes alkylation of metallic arene sulphinates with either α-haloketone15 or α-tosyloxy ketones,16 acylation of alkyl sulfones,17 reactions of diazo sulfones with aldehydes catalyzed by SnCl2,18 reaction of an acid ester with α-sulfonyl carbanions,19 reaction of an acid anhydride with α-sulfonyl carbanions, addition of aldehydes to α-sulfonyl carbanions followed by oxidation of the resulting b-hydroxysulfones,20 oxidation of b-ketosulphides,21 oxidation of b-ketosulfoxides.22 The direct and straightforward method is the treatment of metallic arene sulphinates with α-haloketone.15 However, the low solubility of metal sulphinate salts in organic solvents is the inadequacy. In recent years, the use of ionic liquids (ILs) as green solvents in organic synthetic processes has gained considerable importance due to their solvating ability, negligible vapor pressure, easy recyclability and reusability.23 Recently, we have reported the direct synthesis of α-iodo b-ketosulfones and their base-induced cleavage to afford α-iodo methyl sulfones.24 In continuation of our work, although not novel, we envisaged the synthesis of ketosulfones using sodium alkyl/aryl sulphinates in bmim-BF4 as a ionic liquid, as efficient and reusable reaction medium Scheme 1. In this report (Scheme 1) we describe an efficient method for the synthesis of sulfones using sodium alkyl/aryl sulphinate in bmim-BF4. This method does not need expensive reagents or special care to exclude the moisture from the reaction medium. We chose bmim-BF4, which are inexpensive and readily available for the preparation of ionic liquid. The resulting salt bmim-BF4 being a liquid at room temperature bmim-BF4. We first examined the reaction of phenacyl bromide 1 with sodium p-toluenesulphinate 2 in bmim-BF4 at room temperature to yield the corresponding sulfone 3 in 98 % yield (Table 2, Entry 1). This result were encouraged us to carry out the reaction in ionic liquids. In order to optimize the reaction conditions, we carried out the reaction in different solvents (Table 1). The poor yields in hydroxylic solvents and less polar solvents are probably due to the lower solubility of the sulphinate salt in these solvents, coupled with the fact that the nucleophile (p-MeC6H4SO2-) is solvated in hydroxylic solvents thereby reducing its effective nucleophilicity. It was observed that bmim-BF4 ability to act as a phase transfer catalyst for this transformation and the reaction was complete very fast (Scheme 2). Reaction of different α-haloketones with alkyl/aryl sulphinates proceeded efficiently and smoothly and the products were obtained in good to excellent yields. Various sulfones have been synthesized in facile manner using ionic liquids as an efficient reaction medium (Scheme 1, Table 2). From the forgoing results, it is evident that the bmim-BF4 is an efficient reaction medium for the synthesis of sulfones. Further, it is noticed that the ionic liquid can be recovered and reused for next run without loss of its activity. The formation of the product ketosulfones rather than ketosulphinate ester can be explained by soft hard acid base (SHAB) terminology and it follows a reductive dehalogenation followed by neucliophilic attack of sulphinate sulphur in a concerted manner (Scheme 2). In conclusion we have described synthesis of ketosulfones using sodium sulphinates in bmim-BF4 as an ionic liquid, as efficient and reusable reaction medium. The present procedure for the synthesis of b-ketosulfones has the advantage of high efficient reaction medium with high yields of products and simple work-up procedure, which makes it, is a useful and important addition to the present existing methods. The reaction was stirred at RT for an appropriate time (Table 1). After completion of the reaction, as monitored by TLC, the product was extracted into diethyl ether (3 x 20 mL). The combined organic extract was evaporated under reduced pressure to give crude product, which was purified by silica column chromatography. The ionic liquid was recovered and for next run without loss of its activity. Character education in early childhood is not new, and character education is also not just a transfer of knowledge, but something that needs to be built early on through various stimula- tions. This study aims to develop the character of early childhood through audio-visual media with traditional Javanese songs. Using educational design-based research to develop audio-visual media from traditional songs, this media was tested in the field with an experimental design with a control group. Respondents involved 71 kindergarten students from one experimental class in one control class. The data revealed that character education in children shows the average value of the experi- mental class is higher than the control group, this means character education in children can be built through traditional songs. Further research can be done to improve the character of early childhood through a variety of media that interests children. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kemampuan anak dengan Sindrom Autistik (SA) dalam mengartikulasikan bunyi konsonan berdasarkan posisi pada tuturan. Penelitian dilakukan terhadap tiga anak SA. Metode penelitian yang digunakan ialah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Observasi, wawancara, dan tes artikulasi dengan flash card sebagai media digunakan sebagai cara dalam mengumpulkan data berupa kata yang dihasilkan oleh anak SA. Data yang diperoleh kemudian ditranskripsikan ke dalam transkripsi fonetis agar dapat mengetahui tingkat kemampuan artikulasi bunyi konsonan berdasarkan posisi pada tuturan. Penilaian kemampuan artikulasi dilakukan oleh tiga orang penilai yang memiliki kualifikasi di bidang lingusitik dan skala penilaian diadopsi dari Djiwandono (2008). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa meskipun ketiga anak SA memiliki usia yang hampir sama (17 dan 18 tahun), namun kemampuan artikulasi bunyi konsonan mereka berbeda-beda: informan 1 tidak mampu mengartikulasikan empat fonem seperti 2 fonem frikatif /f/ dan /v/, serta fonem getar /r/ dan fonem lateral /l/. Lalu, informan 2 tidak mampu mengujarkan lima bunyi konsonan, fonem bilabial /b/, fonem frikatif /f/, dan /s/, fonem fonem lateral /l/, dan fonem getar /r/ dengan benar. Informan 3 hanya mampu mengartikulasikan dua jenis bunyi konsonan, yaitu fonem semivokal /w/ dan /y/. Selain itu, ketiga anak SA menujukan pola kesalahan artikulasi yang sesuai dengan teori Bauman-Waengler (2004), informan 1 melakukan pola subtitusi, omisi, dan adisi. Lalu informan 2 melakukan kesalahan pola subtitusi dan omisi, sedangkan informan 3 mengalami distorsi 15 jenis fonem /p/, /b/, /t/, /k/, /g/, /s/, /h/, /c/, /j/, /r/, /l/, /m/, /ŋ/ dan /n/.

The age period of 0-8 years is the most important moment for every human being to develop all the developmental features supported by parents at home and teachers / tutors at the Early Childhood Education Institute (ECE). In parenting, six main aspects must be known and applied by each parent. Lack of education, nutritional knowledge, care and care, and aspects of clean-living habits in the family can have an impact on children's growth and development processes. This study aims to develop a module 6 aspects of child development for parental guidance. This study uses a research and development approach to test the effectiveness of the posttest design. Respondents in this study are parents who have children up to 5 years and early childhood educators. The findings show that from these six main aspects, it seems that parents and ECE tutors do not yet understand the ECE concept. In another perspective, there is still a lack of knowledge about these 6 main aspects which require training and parenting modules to develop the 6 aspects of child development. TPS9627 Background: Mutational activation of the KEAP1/NRF2 pathway occurs in >20% of NSCLC patients (pts). KEAP1/NRF2 activation protects tumor cells from diverse forms of oxidative stress and promotes tumor growth and survival. In pts w/ advanced NSCLC, mutation of the KEAP1/NRF2 pathway is associated w/ dramatically reduced survival and poor outcomes following standard-of-care therapy. These tumors have increased dependence on GLS-mediated conversion of glutamine to glutamate due to upregulation of NRF2 target genes involved in glutamine metabolism. Telaglenastat (CB-839), an investigational, first-in-class, potent, oral GLS inhibitor, has demonstrated preclinical activity in KEAP1/NRF2-mutated NSCLC cell lines and xenograft models. This study will evaluate the safety and efficacy of telaglenastat + standard-of-care pembro and chemotherapy as 1L therapy for KEAP1/NRF2-mutated non-squamous mNSCLC (NCT04265534). Methods: This phase II, randomized, multicenter, double-blind study will enroll ~120 pts with histologically or cytologically documented stage IV non-squamous NSCLC w/ KEAP1 or NRF2 mutation, no prior systemic therapy for mNSCLC, measurable disease (RECIST v1.1), ECOG PS 0-1, and no EGFR, ALK, ROS, or other actionable mutation w/ available approved therapy in 1L setting. KEAP1 or NRF2 mutations will be determined by next generation sequencing (NGS), and study-provided liquid biopsy NGS will be available. Pts will be randomized 1:1 to receive telaglenastat (800 mg BID PO) or placebo, in combination with pembro, carboplatin, and pemetrexed at standard doses on day 1 of each 21-day cycle. Pts will be stratified by STK11/LKB1 mutational status and M stage of cancer (M1a-b vs M1c). The study will include an initial safety run-in period (n=12; 1 cycle). Co-primary endpoints are safety and investigator-assessed progression-free survival (RECIST v1.1). Secondary endpoints include overall response rate, duration of response, overall survival, and efficacy analysis in the subgroup of pts w/ biochemical confirmation of KEAP1/NRF2 pathway activation. Findings of this novel NGS biomarker-selected study will inform the efficacy and safety profile of telaglenastat + standard-of-care chemoimmunotherapy for 1L treatment of KEAP1/NRF2-mutated, non-squamous mNSCLC. Research suggests that child independence is more popular in countries with greater wealth and a higher percentage of the educated population. Various research implications expect children's independence and compliance to increase over time in developing countries. This study aims to describe the independence of early childhood who comes from low-income families or at low socioeconomic environment. Using quantitative descriptive, data collection techniques are carried out through a questionnaire. The study population was 30 respondents from the ECE institution who were included in the list of low-income families in 2018, using an area sampling technique. Overall, the teacher stated that all indicators of dependence on children from low-income families had reached the high category, which was 75%. The implication of further research is that aspects of independence in physical abilities, self-confidence, responsibility, discipline, sociability, sharing, and independence in terms of emotional control in early childhood can develop better in a low socio-economic environment. Este trabalho apresenta valores da variação de concentração, caracterização elementar e avaliação da toxidade in vitro no material particulado 10 μm (MP10) coletado em dois sítios na área urbana de Catalão-GO. O período amostrado foi entre 05/08/17 a 28/03/18. Os valores de concentração de MP10 estavam em conformidade com a legislação do CONAMA. A espectrometria de fluorescência de raios X identificou a presença majoritária de ferro e menores quantidades de fósforo e enxofre, caracterizando o MP10como resultado da ressuspenção de solo, emissão veicular e emissões do setor industrial. Simpang Polsek Sukarame merupakan persimpangan yang berada dekat dengan kampus Institut Teknologi Sumatera (ITERA) dan pintu keluar gerbang tol Trans Sumatera. Meningkatnya volume kendaraan lalu lintas di Bandar Lampung serta pengembangan wilayah komersial di sekitar simpang dapat menyebabkan kepadatan lalu lintas sehingga dapat menimbulkan permasalahan di kemudian hari. Oleh karena itu dibutuhkan evaluasi untuk menentukan kelayakan kinerja Simpang Polsek Sukarame. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi kinerja simpang pada tahun 2020 dengan perencanaan alternatif perbaikan kinerja. Perbaikan kinerja simpang yang direncanakan bersifat sebidang. Acuan utama yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah PKJI 2014. Penelitian menggunakan data primer (data kondisi lingkungan dan data geometri simpang) dan data sekunder (data arus lalu lintas simpang). Data primer diperoleh dengan cara pengamatan langsung, sedangkan data sekunder berasal dari data seorang peneliti terdahulu. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi, Simpang Polsek Sukarame pada tahun 2020 masih layak beroperasi menurut PKJI 2014 karena diperoleh nilai DJ < 0,85. Derajat kejenuhan diprediksi akan melebihi 0,85 pada tahun 2033 sehingga diperlukan perbaikan kinerja yang bersifat sebidang. Secara umum, perbaikan kinerja sebidang yang direncanakan antara lain perencanaan pelebaran pendekat, bundaran, dan simpang APILL. Skema pelebaran pendekat paling optimum adalah skema kombinasi dengan lebar pada pendekat Ryacudu 10,00 m; Airan sebesar 8,00 m; Senopati sebesar 6,00 m; dan Suhaimi sebesar 10,00 m. Perencanaan bundaran membutuhkan diameter bundaran minimum sebesar 30 m. Disarankan menggunakan simpang APILL pengaturan 3 fase dengan pelebaran pendekat. W aktu siklus antara 51-100 detik. Derajat kejenuhan maksimum 0,40 dan tundaan rata-rata simpang maksimum 6,25 det/skr sehingga menghasilkan indakator tingkat layanan antara indikator A dan B. Ketiga perencanaan tersebut membutuhkan pembebasan lahan yang cukup untuk memfasilitasi pelaksanaan perencanaan-perencanaan tersebut.

OCT-A is becoming more popular in recent years and there is a high demand to improve the quality of angiograms as well as to extract quantitative information. We applied various processing methods for microvasculature enhancement like Hessian-Frangi to a data set obtained with Bessel and Gaussian OCT systems. We used angiogenesis, fractal and multifractal analysis to extract more quantitative information. We applied the processing methods for healthy, stroke, tumor progression and the results of enhanced processing and quantitative analysis for those are presented in this letter. BackgroundIguratimod (IGU), as one of the conventional synthetic disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs (csDMARDs), has been approved by National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) to treat Rheumatoid arthritis (RA).ObjectivesThis study aimed to compare the cost-effectiveness of well-established RA therapies using a claims-based algorithm in RA patients.MethodsAn electronic medical record (EMR) database from Zhujiang Hospital was utilized to estimate the cost-effectiveness of medication for RA patients, including IGU with MTX, biological DMARDs (bDMARDs) with MTX, and MTX alone for more than 6 months from 2014 to 2020. Patients who were deemed effective must meet all the following criteria according to the algorithm, high adherence; no bDMARDs or IGU switch or addition; no prescription of new csDMARDs; no increase in dose or frequency of index drug; no new use of chronic glucocorticoids or increase in glucocorticoid dose; and no more than one glucocorticoid injection. Average cost was calculated by summing total cost of effective treatment and dividing by number of patients achieving efficacy in each group.ResultsA total of 263 patients were included in the analysis. Based on a claims-based algorithm, the effective rate was 27.1 % (26/96) for IGU with MTX group, 11.2% (7/62) for bDMARDs with MTX group, and 13.3% (14/105) for MTX alone group, respectively. Flux Boric acid (H3BO3) doped on Y2SiO5:Dy3+ phosphors were synthesized by auto ignition based low temperature Solution Combustion Synthesis (SCS) using Oxalic acid dihydrate (ODH) as fuel. Powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD) patterns confirm the nano sized particles corresponding to JCPDS card 36-1476. The crystallite size of the samples estimated from Scherer's formula and Williamson-Hall (W-H) plots was found to be in the range ˜21 nm and 26 nm respectively. Scanning electron Microscope (SEM) micrographs infer addition of flux gives the enhanced grain growth and it attains smooth surface improves the crystallinity and particle morphology of the sample. Fourier transform Infrared (FTIR) data reveals the presence of M–O bonds and Y–O bonds and also the bands at 642 cm–1, 655 cm–1, 668 cm–1, 697 cm–1, 719 cm–1 are ascribed due to the B–O–B linkage in the borate network. Addition of flux on Thermoluminescence (TL) glow curves from 0.5 KGy–4 KGy acts as a sensitizer and the peak appearing at 185 °C is quite stable and can be named as "dosimetric peak" to use in TL phosphor. The kinetic parameters estimated by Chen's peak shape method was found to be second order with activation energy 0.82.

The knowledge of the science of human body parts for early childhood is very important so that children have the ability to recognize and support the cleanliness and health of members of the body, as well as so that they recognize their identity. In addition, introducing environmentally friendly material for early childhood teachers to enrich learning media. This study aims to improve student learning outcomes in science using environmentally friendly media. The topic raised in this search was about recognizing body parts and their benefits and treatments. This type of research is action research. Respondents involved 19 early childhood students. The results showed that there was an increase in subjects' understanding of swallowing extremities and treatment 60% in the pre-cycle phase, 80% in the first cycle and 93% in the second cycle. The findings show that the use of happy body media has a positive effect on limb recognition. Further research is recommended on environmentally friendly media and ways of introducing limbs to early childhood through media or strategies suitable for the millennial era. To improve online learning pedagogy within the field of paralegal education, this study investigated how paralegal students and paralegal instructors perceived the effectiveness of synchronous and asynchronous online paralegal courses. This study intended to inform paralegal instructors and course developers how to better design, deliver, and evaluate effective online course instruction in the field of paralegal studies.Survey results were analyzed using independent samples t-test and correlational analysis, and indicated that overall, paralegal students and paralegal instructors positively perceived synchronous and asynchronous online paralegal courses. Paralegal instructors reported statistically significant higher perceptions than paralegal students: (1) of instructional design and course content in synchronous online paralegal courses; and (2) of technical assistance, communication, and course content in asynchronous online paralegal courses. Instructors also reported higher perceptions of the effectiveness of universal design, online instructional design, and course content in synchronous online paralegal courses than in asynchronous online paralegal courses. Paralegal students reported higher perceptions of asynchronous online paralegal course effectiveness regarding universal design than paralegal instructors. No statistically significant differences existed between paralegal students’ perceptions of the effectiveness of synchronous and asynchronous online paralegal courses. A strong, negative relationship existed between paralegal students’ age and their perceptions of effective synchronous paralegal courses, which were statistically and practically significant. The challenge for rural communities to provide quality education for early childhood in Indonesia is difficult. National politics, policies, and economic and cultural conditions affect the Early Childhood Education system, and Indonesia is a large multicultural country, so, even the quality of education is difficult. This study aims to look at the quality of children's education in Pandalungan. Using qualitative methods with ethnographic design, data collection techniques using interviews, observation, and documentation. The results showed that educational institutions for children in urban areas can be categorized quite high. However, for early childhood education services in Desa Sukorambi Pandalungan, the quality is quite poor. Research suggestions are the need for follow-up related to social, economic, cultural and environmental factors at the level of Pandalungan community awareness of early childhood education. Concurrently with the rapid development in digital society, the demand for communication skills was clear in childhood. Early childhood education needs to pay attention to children's speech skills development. This study aims to determine the effect of cognitive style and attachment on the ability to speak in early childhood speech development. The method used is a 2 x 2 factorial comparison design which is divided into two groups namely independent and dependent fields involving 138 samples. Re- search findings about differences in the ability to speak early childhood who have independent field cognitive style and children who have field dependent cognitive style in groups of children with high attachment obtained (A2B1), obtained Q count = 9.39 and Q table (0.05; 4: 10) = 4 , 33. 4). Differences in the ability to speak early childhood who have an independent field cognitive style and children who have a field dependent cognitive style in groups of children with low attachment obtained (A2B2), ob- tained Q count = 4.39 and Q table (0.05; 4: 10) = 4 , 33. It show that early children who have independent field cognitive style have higher speech skills scores than early children who have field dependent cog- nitive style while early children who are independent field cognitive style with low attachment have lower speech skills scores than early childhood the field dependent cognitive style with low attachment. The influence of family, school and peers on students' emotional social development is very important as a starting point for the design of school activities that will also improve student development in an integral way. The Star of the Week program was developed with the aim of helping students apply the knowledge, attitudes, and skills needed to socialize and understand and manage emotions. This study uses the Thiagarajan model stages, namely define, design, develop, and disseminate (4D). The results of the validity test from the experts show that this program has workable value with 91.1% material aspects, 90% emotional development aspects and 92% presentation aspects. For the practicality test results through teacher questionnaires obtained scores of 90%, and 88.67% through teacher observations of children who are in the high practical category. The results of the program effectiveness test showed a value of 89.08% on children's social-emotional development, because it showed an increase in values ​​before and after the intervention. The implication of further research is that it is hoped that various kinds of learning methods will develop aspects of child development based on cooperation and peer relationships. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan pemerolehan bahasa pertama dengan fokus pada tataran fonologi pada anak perempuan berusia dua tahun lima bulan. Penelitian berjudul “Pemerolehan Fonologi Bahasa Jawa pada Anak Usia 2 Tahun” ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Waktu penelitian selama 4 bulan yakni sejak bulan Februari 2021 hingga bulan Juni 2021. Peneliti menggunakan teknik simak libat cakap dalam mengumpulkan data yang diperoleh. Teknik simak libat cakap dilakukan dengan cara peneliti menyimak sekaligus ikut berpartisipasi dalam pembicaraan dengan subjek penelitian. Teknik analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik analisis model interaktif. Selain itu, peneliti juga melakukan wawancara dengan orang tua responden yang mengajarkan bahasa pertama. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Avalyn menguasai 7 fonem vokal bahasa Jawa yang terdiri dari fonem /i/, /e/, /a/, /ǝ/, /u/, /o/, dan /Ɔ/. Avalyn juga telah menguasai 13 fonem konsonan bahasa Jawa yakni fonem /p/, /b/, /m/, /w/, /t/, /d/, /n/, /l/, /s/, /y/, /k/, /g/, serta /ʔ/. Sementara untuk ketujuh fonem bahasa Jawa yang lain masih belum dapat dia kuasai, meliputi fonem /ñ/, /ḍ/, /g/, /j/, /c/, /ṭ/, serta fonem /r/.

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan variasi fonologi dan leksikal antara dialek Lakiung dan dialek Konjo Bahasa Makassar. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan instrument penelitian yang menyediakan 200 kosakata dasar Morish Swadesh yang dikelompokkan sesuai dengan medan maknanya, dengan cara teknik cakap dan Teknik simak. Pengambilan data dengan pemilihan empat orang informan dengan memperhatikan kriteria tertentu yang ditetapkan oleh Mahsun. Kemudian mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis berdasarkan variasi fonologi dan leksikon. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa perbedaan fonologi ditemukan adanya fonem vokal dan fonem konsonan. Vocal pada dialek Konjo dan dialek Lakiung adalah sama yaitu terdapat lima fonem vocal, yaitu : /a, /i/, /u/, /e/, dan /o/. Konsonan pada kedua dialek juga sama, keduanya memiliki delapan belas konsonan, yaitu: /k/, /ɡ/, /ŋ/, /p/, /b/, /m/, /ʦ/, /ʤ/, /ɲ/, /t/, /d/, /n/, /j/, /r/,/l/, /w/, /s/, dan /h/. Adapun variasi leksikal ditemukan beberapa perbedaan pada tiap medan makna. Adapun kedelapan medan makna tersebut, variasi fonologi dan variasi leksikal memiliki perbedaan yang signifikan, yaitu lebih banyak perbedaan kosakata secara variasi leksikal dibandingkan dengan variasi fonologi.

ABSTRAK Pemberian ASI pada bayi sangat penting terutama dalam periode awal kehidupan. Akan tetapi, praktek dalam pemberian Air Susu Ibu (ASI) eksklusif belum mencapai target yang diharapkan. Keberhasilan ASI eksklusif dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor salah satunya adalah faktor dukungan dari tenaga kesehatan termasuk Bidan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan sikap dan dukungan tenaga kesehatan dengan keberhasilan pemberian ASI eksklusif. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian untuk studi korelasi dengan desain cross sectional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh ibu yang memiliki bayi umur 6-12 bulan di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Berangas. Sampel penelitian 78 orang. Teknik pengambilan sampel, yaitu accidental sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan 53 orang (67,95%) diantaranya memiliki sikap positif terhadap pemberian ASI eksklusif, 61 orang (78,2 %) diantaranya mendapat dukungan yang baik dari tenaga kesehatan dan 40 orang (62,82%) berhasil memberikan ASI eksklusif. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang bermakna antara sikap Ibu dengan keberhasilan pemberian ASI eksklusif dengan nilai p sebesar 0,004. Hal ini berarti bahwa semakin positif sikap, maka tingkat keberhasilan dalam pemberian ASI eksklusif juga akan meningkat. Terdapat hubungan yang bermakna antara dukungan tenaga kesehatan dengan keberhasilan pemberian ASI eksklusif dengan nilai p sebesar 0,007. Hal ini berarti, semakin baik dukungan yang diberikan oleh tenaga kesehatan, maka keberhasilan pemberian ASI eksklusif juga kan meningkat. BackgroundOutcomes for high grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) patients have remained dismal due to the inevitable development of chemotherapy resistance with recurrent disease.1 In order to better tailor treatment approaches and uncover opportunities for novel treatments, we need to better understand factors contributing to chemotherapy resistance. Recent studies have shown that immune-related gene expression profiles may serve as prognostic indicators of response to chemotherapy and clinical outcomes in solid tumors, including ovarian cancer.2–7 Moreover, immunologic factors have been shown to mediate chemotherapy resistance8 Reports in the literature show that common ovarian cancer therapeutics, including chemotherapy, PARP inhibitors, and bevacizumab, modulate tumor cell expressed PD-L1 levels through immunologic signaling pathways.9–12 However, very little research has addressed the effect of these treatments on other immune ligands or the differences in immunologic responses between platinum-sensitive and platinum-resistant HGSOC cell lines.MethodsThe HGSOC cell lines OVCAR4 (naturally platinum-resistant), PEO1 and PEO4 (matched platinum-sensitive and -resistant lines from the same patient), were treated with common ovarian cancer therapeutics (carboplatin/paclitaxel, olaparib, and bevacizumab), in the presence or absence of peripheral blood mononuclear cells. Western blot was employed to identify levels of immune ligands of interest and a proteome profiler was used to detect broad immunologic changes in response to standard of care therapeutics.ResultsOlaparib and bevacizumab treatment strikingly upregulated levels of tumor cell expressed immune ligands ICOSL and PVRL2. Platinum status or presence of an immune component had no bearing on the effect. Moreover, blockade of PVRL2 using siRNA or monoclonal antibodies suppressed STAT3 signaling. When examining the effect of these therapeutics on cytokine levels in HGSOC cell lines treated in immune cell co-culture, OVCAR4 cells displayed marked changes in cytokine levels, particularly CXCL10, CXCL12, SERPINE1, IL1A, and IL1RA. While PEO1 and PEO4 cells displayed more subtle cytokine changes compared to OVCAR4 cells, differences in basal levels and treatment responses were observed between the platinum-sensitive and -resistant lines, most strikingly higher basal levels of SERPINE1 and CCL5/RANTES in PEO4 cells, and a robust increase in IL8 levels in response to chemotherapy in only PEO1 cells and not PEO4.ConclusionsIn conclusion, common ovarian cancer chemotherapeutics and targeted agents induce tumor cell intrinsic immunologic effects that could potentially be exploited as combinatorial therapeutic targets. Differences in immunologic responses may help define platinum-sensitive and -resistant disease. Digital storytelling is often used in various contexts today, especially in the world of education. Many educators have followed this trend in early childhood education (ECE). This study examines the application of digital storytelling in ECE in Indonesia. Using a systematic literature review (SLR) a method, this research is a qualitative approach which is also known as a meta-synthesis. The literature reviewed was 15 articles from 56 articles that researchers found in the Google Scholar database. The results show that digital storytelling serves as an important method and medium to ensure children's learning experiences are enjoyable. In general, it is used in ECE in Indonesia through simple technology. This technology can enhance a story or fairy tale by making it more fun, interesting, communicative, and dramatic. However, the findings of this review of studies and methodological gaps have implications for ECE policy, practice, and research in Indonesia. The achievement of children's quality of life is undoubtedly linked to the development of positive habits that will continue to be practiced in future lives. This can be done by developing awareness and behavior of a balanced clean and healthy lifestyle. The purpose of this study was to determine the increase in the PHBS ability of children. Various efforts have been made so that children with intellectual disabilities can maintain their cleanliness. The efforts made by the teacher are still not maximal so that the delivery of information about PHBS must be completed by another method, namely demonstration. This research was conducted at SDLB 127710 Pematangsiantar5 with an action research method that refers to the Kurt Lewin model. Data collection techniques used purposive sampling and data analysis with the Wilcoxon test. The results showed an increase in understanding of the PHBS of children with intellectual disabilities able to learn SDLB 127710 Pematangsiantar through the demonstration method. This is evidenced by the increase in the score, where the initial assessment was obtained (59%), while in the first cycle, the average score was good (69.9%). In short, the understanding of children with intellectual disabilities being able to learn about PHBS is increased by using the demonstration method. This study aims to find out how to stimulate Early Childhood Mindset in Theodeosius kindergarten through affective education. This research is qualitative research. Data analysis is done by reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. The research findings showed that students were very enthusiastic about following the activities of the teacher with pleasure, happiness and did not feel burdened from the initial activities to the final activities of the students who followed them well. The efforts made by TK Theodosius educators are good, so that it can be said that the teacher's efforts to train children's independence are maximized. The students have begun to instill Pancasila values in their daily lives, namely Godhead, Humanity, the Value of Unity, People's Value, and Social Justice. Play-based learning activities are important programs throughout the world of children's education. Through play, children learn creatively and constructively. This study aims to solve the problem of creativity in early-childhood dance movements with the hope that there will be an increase in aspects of fluency, flexibility and elaboration through play activities related to educational dance. This action research uses an action research method which is carried out in three cycles. The subjects in this study were 19 children aged 5-6 years in Kindergarten in Central Jakarta. Data collection was carried out through observation, interviews, field notes, video documentation and photos. The findings show every child's creativity in dance movements can be improved through playing activities. Increased creativity in dance movements occurs in the aspects of fluency, flexibility, and elaboration. Another important finding, there is an increase in the optimal ability of dance creativity in the third cycle of this action research. The implication from this research is that play activities suitable for learning creative dance in early childhood must be designed as a program that emphasizes aspects of fluency, flexibility, and elaboration. AbstractThe generalizations of the Onsager model for the radial boundary layer and the Carrier–Maslen model for the end-cap axial boundary layer in a high-speed rotating cylinder are formulated for studying the secondary gas flow due to wall heating and due to insertion of mass, momentum and energy into the cylinder. The generalizations have wider applicability than the original Onsager and Carrier–Maslen models, because they are not restricted to the limit $\mathscr{A}\gg 1$, though they are restricted to the limit $\mathit{Re}\gg 1$ and a high-aspect-ratio cylinder whose length/diameter ratio is large. Here, the stratification parameter $\mathscr{A}= \sqrt{m{\Omega }^{2} {R}^{2} / (2{k}_{B} T)} $. This parameter $\mathscr{A}$ is the ratio of the peripheral speed, $\Omega R$, to the most probable molecular speed, $ \sqrt{2{k}_{B} T/ m} $, the Reynolds number $\mathit{Re}= {\rho }_{w} \Omega {R}^{2} / \ensuremath{\mu} $, where $m$ is the molecular mass, $\Omega $ and $R$ are the rotational speed and radius of the cylinder, ${k}_{B} $ is the Boltzmann constant, $T$ is the gas temperature, ${\rho }_{w} $ is the gas density at wall, and $\ensuremath{\mu} $ is the gas viscosity. In the case of wall forcing, analytical solutions are obtained for the sixth-order generalized Onsager equations for the master potential, and for the fourth-order generalized Carrier–Maslen equation for the velocity potential. For the case of mass/momentum/energy insertion into the flow, the separation-of-variables procedure is used, and the appropriate homogeneous boundary conditions are specified so that the linear operators in the axial and radial directions are self-adjoint. The discrete eigenvalues and eigenfunctions of the linear operators (sixth-order and second-order in the radial and axial directions for the Onsager equation, and fourth-order and second-order in the axial and radial directions for the Carrier–Maslen equation) are determined. These solutions are compared with direct simulation Monte Carlo (DSMC) simulations. The comparison reveals that the boundary conditions in the simulations and analysis have to be matched with care. The commonly used ‘diffuse reflection’ boundary conditions at solid walls in DSMC simulations result in a non-zero slip velocity as well as a ‘temperature slip’ (gas temperature at the wall is different from wall temperature). These have to be incorporated in the analysis in order to make quantitative predictions. In the case of mass/momentum/energy sources within the flow, it is necessary to ensure that the homogeneous boundary conditions are accurately satisfied in the simulations. When these precautions are taken, there is excellent agreement between analysis and simulations, to within 10 %, even when the stratification parameter is as low as 0.707, the Reynolds number is as low as 100 and the aspect ratio (length/diameter) of the cylinder is as low as 2, and the secondary flow velocity is as high as 0.2 times the maximum base flow velocity. The predictions of the generalized models are also significantly better than those of the original Onsager and Carrier–Maslen models, which are restricted to thin boundary layers in the limit of high stratification parameter.

The idea of edutainment began to become the interest of early childhood educators to make the learning process more holistic, including knowledge about how the brain works, memory, motivation, self-image, emotions, learning styles, and other learning strategies. This study aims to analyse and compare the effect of edutainment and group learning on the socio-emotional development of early childhood. This research method uses a quasi-experimental design with data collection techniques derived from the results of the pre-test and post-test on 20 children. The results of this study indicate that there are differences in the influence of edutainment learning with the control group on the social-emotional development of early childhood. Although both groups affect the socio-emotional development, edutainment learning has a better effect than the control group. For further research, it is recommended to create various types of edutainments learning to improve various aspects of children development. Estabelecendo um vínculo assumido com a célebre expressão de W. B. Yeats “mirror turn lamp” (1936), que esteve na origem do título do não menos célebre ensaio de M. H. Abrams, The Mirror and the Lamp (1960), dedicado à teoria poética do Romantismo, este ensaio parte da leitura de dois versos de Fiama Hasse Pais Brandão para uma tentativa de siste­ma­ti­za­ção do discurso metapoético daquela que é uma das escritoras mais auto-conscientes da literatura portuguesa do século XX. Neste sentido, procura-se re­constituir e problematizar esse discurso dando especial destaque à obra em que es­ses versos se inscrevem, Área branca (1978), uma vez que este livro representa, na tota­lidade da produção da autora mas também no campo mais alargado da poesia portuguesa da se­gun­da metade do século XX, um lugar de transmutação qualitativa das grandes ques­tões poetológicas que têm atra­ves­sado a criação poética moderna e contemporânea, pelo menos desde o Romantismo tão caro a Fiama – linguagem e representação, palavra e imagem, memória e imaginação, identidade e alteridade, metatexto e hipertexto, a tradição e o talento individual –, e que na sua obra foram objecto de uma síntese dialéctica de invulgar trepidação reflexiva.
