Анотація:

Domenico Fontana nel 1592, dopo la morte di papa Sisto V, accetta l 'incarico del viceré di Napoli conte di Miranda per occuparsi della bonifica della campagna a nord di Napoli en el 1593 gli viene conferito l'ufficio di regio ingegnere. Il Fontana viene interpellato anche per la realizzazione del canale per convogliare le acque del fiume Sarno fino alla città di Torre Annunziata. Il successivo viceré conte d'Olivares gli affida la realizzazione di nuovi assi viari e larghi quali la via Olivares - dal molo grande al piccolo - la via Gusmana - dal baluardo dell'Alcala all'Arsenale - il largo di Castello e il largo delle Pigne nonché la realizzazione del nuovo porto (progetto mai portato a termine). Il Fontana realizzò anche due apparati effimeri: i catafalchi per le esequie di Filippo II ( 1599) e del viceré Lemos (1601). Proprio per il viceré Lemos realizza l' opera piu significativa della sua carriera di architetto maggiore del Regno: il nuovo Palazzo Reale. Il Fontana muore a Napoli il 28 giugno 1607, nella sua casa di via Nardones nei pressi del largo di Palazzo Reale, lasciando ai suoi eredi (alla moglie lsabella e ai figli Sebastiano, Giulio Cesare, Costanzo, Filippo, Olimpia, Felice e Flavia) un cospicuo patrimonio di beni mobili e immobili come si è desunto dal testamento olografo rinvenuto nell' Archivio di Stato di Napoli di cuisi riporta la trascrizione nell' appendice documentaria.

À l’aube des années 2000, la chaîne payante Canal+ diversifie sa gamme de programmes en lançant plusieurs séries dramatiques ambitieuses, exigeantes et réalistes. Celles-ci portent le label de “Création Originale.” Cette stratégie de labellisation participe à une différenciation de l’offre des chaînes gratuites françaises. Elle consiste aussi à transposer la stratégie déployée à la fin de la décennie précédente par le diffuseur premium nord-américain, HBO. Partant d’entretiens sociologiques réalisés avec des producteurs, scénaristes, et chargés de programmes de séries de Canal+, cet article met en évidence deux corollaires de cette politique éditoriale: une modification des méthodes de travail en matière de fictions télévisées, ainsi qu’une recomposition des sphères professionnelles de la télévision française.

Анотація:

In the present study water quality assessment and land based sources of pollutants discharged into the Halda River through four major canals were investigated. The ranges of pH, DO, BOD, NO3-N, PO4-P, chloride and total alkalinity of the collected samples varied from 7.1-8.8, 3.35-4.70 mg/L, 0.055-5.0 mg/L, 0.12-3.1 mg/L, 0.06-0.16 mg/L, 8.4-69.30 mg/L and 73-220 mg/L, respectively. pH, DO, BOD showed significant changes at Mondakini Canal and Chengkhali Canal for monsoon, post-monsoon and winter (p <0.05) while chloride at Chengkali Canal for all seasons (p≤0.05). Moreover, TA, NO3-N and PO4-P exhibited significant variation in the concentration at Mondakini Canal, Madari Canal and Chengkali Canal for three seasons (p ≤0.05). River Pollution Index indicated that the water of river at Mondakini Canal, Madari Canal, Chengkhali Canal and Khondakia Canal varied from low to moderate pollution. According to the interviewers, the Halda River is being polluted due to industrial waste (53%), sewage contamination (20%), tobacco farming (13%), rubber dam (8%) and sand extraction (6%). Therefore, necessary preventive measures should be taken in order to control the unwise and unauthorized discharge of harmful pollutants into the Halda River for the better management and conservation of natural resources. La lenteja de agua se utiliza en el tratamiento de aguas residuales para eliminar sustancias nocivas, minerales y contaminación orgánica. El propósito del presente estudio fue investigar la eficiencia de bioconcentración de metales pesados en Lemna minor y Lemna gibba provenientes de tres embalses del sureste de Bulgaria: el canal de la ciudad de Elhovo, el canal del lago Vaja y el canal del lago Mandra. Se analizaron los contenidos de proteína cruda, lípidos y ceniza en las especies estudiadas de Lemna. Los metales pesados en agua y plantas acuáticas se determinaron con un espectrómetro de absorción atómica (AAS) "A Analyst 800" - Perkin Elmer. Las concentraciones de metales en L. minor y L. gibba mostraron una tendencia descendente: Mn>Fe>Zn>Cu>Ni> Cr>Pb>Cd en las tres masas de agua. Duckweed is used in wastewater treatment to remove inorganic substances, mineral and organic contamination. The purpose of present study was to investigate a Lemna minor and Lemna gibba bioconcentration efficiency of trace metals in three southeast Bulgarian water reservoirs. Three waterbodies located on the territory of South East Bulgaria: water canal town Elhovo, water canal Vaja Lake and water canal Mandra Lake was studied. Crude protein, lipid, ash content in studied species of Lemna were analyzed. The trace metal content in water and aquatic plants was determined on an atomic absorption spectrometer (AAS) "A Analyst 800" - Perkin Elmer. The concentrations of metals in both L. minor and L. gibba and for all sites showed a downward trend: Mn>Fe> Zn>Cu>Ni>Cr>Pb>Cd.

La grande production hydroélectrique du Québec fait la fierté de la population et de ses élites. Trèslargement produite loin des territoires métropolitains de Montréal et de Québec, l’hydroélectricité des régions du Nord-du-Québec, de la Côte-Nord et du Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean laisse-t-elle, sur ces territoires, un bénéfice à la hauteur de sa contribution importante à la richesse du Québec? En d’autres termes, la répartition de la rente hydroélectrique, ou sa dissipation, bénéficie-t-elle aux grandes régions productrices, qui comprennent une large part de la ruralité du Québec? While the how and why of the Chesapeake and Ohio (C&O) Canal’s birth are important, and it is with much thanks that students of inland waterways (few are we in number) are able to access this accumulated knowledge, it is somewhat shocking that the major role this canal played in developing the Potomac River valley and, most importantly, the country’s capital region, is overlooked. This article will address the pivotal role the C&O Canal played in forming and developing the two main ports that serviced the greater District of Columbia area (encompassing northern Virginia), and, to a lesser extent, the middle Atlantic region. Bien que le comment et le pourquoi des débuts du canal Chesapeake et Ohio (C&O) soient importants et que les amateurs des voies navigables intérieures (peu nombreux sommes-nous) soient très reconnaissants de pouvoir accéder aux connaissances acquises, il est étonnant que le rôle majeur qu’ait joué ce canal dans le développement de la vallée de la rivière Potomac et, plus important encore, de la région de la capitale nationale des États-Unis ait été laissé de côté. Cet article traite du rôle central du canal C&O dans la formation et le développement des deux principaux ports qui desservaient la grande région du district de Columbia (comprenant le nord de la Virginie) et, dans une moindre mesure, la région de l’Atlantique-Centre.

Анотація:

The paper was aimed at the determination of variability of horizontal resin canal dimension in spruce wood in relation to the position in a spruce stem. Significant changes of dimensions in horizontal resin canal along the stem length and radius were found. On the basis obtained of results 3D models (for CW, OW, SWL and SWP zones) describing changes in resin canal dimensions in spruce in relation to the position in a stem were created. In the models, the resin canal dimension decreases with the height of a stem and on the other hand, with an increasing distance from the stem pith the dimension of resin canal increases. The importance of the paper consists in the enlargement of findings about the structure of spruce with compression wood.

Анотація:

Groundwater recharge, through surplus supplies of canal water, may prove to be an important strategy for replenishing the rapidly depleting groundwater in Punjab and managing sustainably the groundwater resources. However, presence of suspended silt load in the canal water results in clogging of recharge wells and subsequent reduction in recharge rates and capacity of filters. In present study, an inclined tubes clarifier having filtration capacity of 1.8 L s-1 was designed and fabricated to filter the silt-loaded canal water. In the clarifier, tubes of poly vinyl chloride (PVC) media of 1-m length were attached one over the other to form an inclined honeycomb like structure through which canal water enters as inflow from the bottom and the clarified water exits as outflow from the top of the clarifier. Efficacy of the designed clarifier was tested at different total suspended solids ranging from 500 to 3000 mg L-1 in the canal water and at pumping rates varying from 0.3 to 2.1 L s-1. The results revealed more than 85% sediment-removal efficiency of the clarifier at flow rates above 0.8 L s-1. The results further indicated that efficiency of removing total suspended solids (TSS) reduced drastically at inflow rates more than 1.2 L s-1. Also, at all the flow rates, the efficiency was 6% higher for water samples having TSS more than 2000 mg L-1 in comparison to samples having TSS less than 1000 mg L-1. The clarifier makes no significant difference to the values of total dissolved solids, electrical conductivity, total solids and pH of the canal water.

Depuis le milieu des années 80, les détaillants alimentaires de l’Europe du Nord ont pris progressivement le contrôle du canal de distribution, notamment en assurant le pilotage des flux logistiques à la place de leurs fournisseurs industriels. Pour éviter que ce contrôle ne conduise à une prolifération de comportements abusifs, les Pouvoirs Publics ont cherché à établir les bases d’une compétition verticale saine et loyale entre industrie et commerce. A presença de elementos não essenciais nas águas superficiais do rio Amazonas é uma preocupação global, o objetivo da pesquisa foi estudar a distribuição dos elementos As, Al, Mn, e Pb na água do estuário do rio Amazonas. As amostras foram coletadas em três regiões distintas: Canal Norte (AP), Canal Sul (PA) e rio Pará (PA) em três profundidades, com um total de 84 amostras. A espectrometria de emissão atômica com plasma indutivamente acoplado (ICPAES) foi utilizada para avaliar os teores de Al, Mn e Pb e a espectrofotometria de absorção atômica com geração de hidretos (HGAAS) foi usada para a análise do As. O As variou de <0,35 a 50,60 μg/L, o Al de <1,88 a 3347,70 μg/L, o Mn de 0,13 a 403,39 μg/L e Pb de <0,18 a 57,78 μg/L. Em média As (canal Sul), Al (todas as regiões), Mn (canal Norte e Sul) e Pb (canal Norte e Sul) se encontraram em valores acima do permitido pela legislação brasileira. Os elementos podem ter origem antrópica originária de atividade de mineração e industrial e origem natural proveniente de decomposição de rochas ígneas da bacia de drenagem do rio Amazonas que disponibilizam o elemento na forma ligada ao material particulado em suspensão.

Анотація:

The physiochemical properties of Oke Afa water body were investigated. The parameters were compared with established international standard (APCELS). The canal water contained very high concentration of BOD (64.8±11.3 mg/L) and COD (107.8±22.3 mg/L) which would suggest the presence of a high level of organic load that result in the pollution of the canals. Significant concentration of TSS ranging from (92±100 mg/L), SO42-(9.84±5.59 mg/L), PO43-(0.66±0.33 mg/L), Cl (37±2.84 mg/L), NO3-(2.63±0.6 mg/L) and DO (0.96±0.15 mg/L) were observed. Low concentration of zinc and copper were observed except lead that has a higher concentration above the allowed permissible level at a point B of the sampling sites. Some heavy metals were not detected at all in all the sampled points of the canal. The pH and temperature were fairly constant and the values of conductivity reveal a slight decline in the ability of the water to conduct electricity down the canal. All the detected parameters fell within limits except Lead.

Анотація:

This article explores the relationship between the economic exploitation and ecological disadvantaging of the South by the North. Parallel to traditional debates on disparate shares in the world market, terms oftrade ect., a new line ofconfrontation emerges. Tue question goes: How are costs and destruction brought about by modern industrial civilisation to be shared out? Marmora persues the argument (l) that the pattem of traditional distributional conflicts is not applicable to the new constellation of conflicts and (2) that global polarisation between North and South is unlikely to set in. However, a prerequisite for »sustainable development« is that ecological restructuring in industrialised countries be taclded and that developing countries actively take part in world market operations committing themselves to globally protecting the environment.

Анотація:

Freshwater inflow is important in transporting nutrients to a bay. We hypothesized that freshwater inflow was transporting dissolved nitrogen and phosphorus to the Inland Bays. We analyzed long term (1998–2019) water quality data collected from Indian River, Indian River Bay, Lewes-Rehoboth Canal, Little Assawoman Bay, and Rehoboth Bay watersheds. Freshwater inflow altered nitrite+nitrate (N-NO2_3) concentrations in all but Lewes-Rehoboth Canal watershed, whereas phosphate (P-PO4) concentrations in all watersheds were altered by freshwater inflow and metabolic processes in the water. The average N-NO2_3 and P-PO4 were higher than the standard (0.14 and 0.01 mg/L for N-NO2_3+N-NH3 and P-PO4, respectively) for growing seasons (March–October) i.e., 0.83 + 0.14 and 0.09 mg/L in Indian River; 0.79 + 0.10 and 0.06 mg/L in Indian River Bay; 0.21 + 0.15 and 0.09 mg/L in Lewes-Rehoboth Canal; 0.49 + 0.10 and 0.11 mg/L in Little Assawoman Bay; 1.0 + 0.08 and 0.06 mg/L in Rehoboth Bay. Average total suspended solids in the Indian River (33), Indian River Bay (22), and Lewes-Rehoboth Canal (31) were higher than the standard concentrations, i.e., 20 mg/L for the Inland Bays. With the evidence of higher dissolved nutrients and low dissolved oxygen concentrations, need for nutrient load reduction and water quality monitoring are paramount for the sustainable management of Inland Bays.
