Анотація:
The article provides guidelines on calculation of the cast-inplace reinforced concrete thermal treatment modes: the problem of thermal treatment mode by setting the mathematical temperature field model in the hardening concrete has been solved; model equation which allows calculating the temperature field in the hardening concrete structure using computer software has been solved. These data allow to achieve the high quality of concrete at minimum heat treatment duration and the maximum reduction of energy costs, while minimizing experimental calculations.

The modern approach to the design of road culverts involves the use of computeraided design (CAD). In design organizations of Ukraine software products of the Minsk company CREDO are being used for calculations of capacity of culverts by GRIS_T. Since 2019, the UKRRVS program is being developed to calculate culverts of road structures according to Ukrainian standards. At the moment, the program has the calculation of stormwater runoff according to MADI/SoyuzDorProekt formula and meltwater runoff (according the Road Handbook). In 2020, a new stage of automated calculation of road culverts started - calculations of capacity. The article presents the automated calculation of road reinforced concrete round culverts for pressureless operation. Goal. It is proposed to automate the calculation of road reinforced concrete round culverts for pressureless oper-ation. Methodology. The current methods for calculating the throughput of reinforced concrete road culverts have been used. Programming was carried out in the C# language using object-oriented programming. Results. The state of affairs in the auto-mation of hydraulic calculations in the road industry in accordance with Ukrainian standards was analyzed. It was concluded that at the moment the production uses the GRIS program of the CREDO company. The UKRRVS program is being developed. In this program, the issue of automating the calculation of the throughput of round culverts for operation in freeflow mode is relevant. The question of the methodology and algorithmization of this calculation, coding and interface support has been resolved. Practical value. The algorithm for calculating road culverts has been developed. A part of calculating the throughput of road culverts has been created in the UKRRVS program. This part covers the most com-mon group - round reinforced concrete culverts for freeflow operation. Originality. The interface has been created for the automation program for calculating road culverts. When you click the button “Round reinforced concrete pipes” in the main menu of the program UKRVS 21, the window “Calculation of a round reinforced concrete pipe operating in pressureless mode” opens. The calculation consists of three parts: the area of formation of initial data, the button “Calculate”, and the area of output of results of calculations. The area of formation of ini-tial data consists of 7 points. The area of the results of calculation of round reinforced concrete road cul-verts working in a pressureless mode consists of 14 points.

Анотація:
Development of a method for calculating the optimal mode of conducting a train in terms of energy saving meet the safety requirements and schedules. The method of calculation must solve the assigned tasks without significant time spent on the calculation. To implement this method of calculation was used a simplified model of the train as a controlled system. The existing mathematical and algorithmic methods for solving isoperimetric problems of finding the optimal solution in the presence of restrictions on resources were the information base for methodology development. Scientific works of domestic and foreign scientists, professional periodicals, materials of scientific and practical conferences, methodical and normative materials, currently in force on Ukrainian Railways. The results of these studies were used to create simulators on the basis of computer technology for the training of locomotive drivers. The scientific novelty of the proposed calculation method consists in applying the simplified calculations of the status of the train as a controlled system, without the use of differential equations of motion that allows to significantly increase the speed of the calculations. This, in turn, will solve the problems of finding optimal control in real time, taking into account changing conditions during the movement of the train. The practical significance of the obtained results is the use of such a calculation method that does not require significant time for its implementation and can be used as a subsystem of the on-board train control system capable of per-forming calculations taking into account changes in the current train situation.

The purpose of the work is to consider methods for calculating the forecast of groundwater backwater in the zone of influence of hydraulic structures. The analysis of analytical dependences of calculation of the forecast of groundwater backwater for various calculation schemes is carried out. For a homogeneous scheme of the geofiltration structure, a numerical model is proposed and a computational program for calculating the groundwater backwater is developed. It allows calculating the groundwater backwater from the channel at any time in the discrete mode. To simplify the solution of the problem of calculating the groundwater backwater, a computer program was created in the programming language Phyton Version 8.3 which quickly solves this hydrogeological problem. A possible range of geofiltration parameters is proposed for calculating the groundwater backwater near main channels. The adaptation and implementation of the software model was carried out for a specific object – the Bolshoy Stavropol channel-5, for which forecast calculations were made. The results of predictive calculations of groundwater backwater are the basis for the assessment of areas of possible flooding – the territory within which the level of ground water increases as a result of their backup by a hydraulic structure.

The article describes the procedure for calculating the thermal regime of a unit. The unit under study is part of a phased array. The calculation of the thermal regime allows you to verify the operability of the device under a steady thermal regime and to verify that the choice of the method of cooling the structure is correct. The work of the unit is analyzed under conditions of convective heat exchange without forced cooling at the maximum operating (permissible) ambient temperature. The calculation of the thermal regime of the unit is carried out in two stages. At the first stage, the temperature of the unit case is determined when the unit case overheats in the first approximation. The overheating value is determined from the graph. The calculation is carried out under conditions of natural air cooling. At the second stage, the average surface temperature of the heated zone is determined. The greatest heating in the unit is observed in the area occupied by the board with ERE. According to the results of the calculation, a problem was revealed, which consists in the fact that under the given operating conditions of the investigated device, the unit area is heated above the maximum operating temperature of some ERE. The value of the average surface temperature of the heated zone of the unit exceeds the value of the maximum allowable temperature of the least heat-resistant element of the heated zone. This means that it is necessary to use forced air cooling by air convection. The article proposes a solution to the problem of unit overheating, and describes the method of forced air cooling and its design.

Simulation of the supercharged internal combustion engines operation cycle is impossible without correct estimation of the supercharger operating parameters. Standard approach is to use specially prepared performance maps of compressor and turbine of the turbocharger, which are based on the experimental (or manufacturer’s) raw data. Centrifugal compressor performance maps interpolation, extrapolation and treatment provides challenging requirements as it is important to get correct simulation under such special conditions as compressor choke, rotating stall and pumping surge. At the same time it’s important to obtain the fast and stable calculations of the engine’s operating cycle. Blitz-PRO – online internal combustion engines operating cycle simulation service – offers supercharger performance maps preprocessing and implementation. It provides three different modes of compressor surge consideration during calculations: 1) full-scale surge mode using Moore-Greitzer approach; 2) mild surge mode with flexible adjustment; 3) “stable” mode, when the surge is neglected and the compressor constant-speed lines are extended from the rotating stall point to the lower mass flow region with the hyperbolic equation. Using the MAN 8G70ME-E engine 12140 kW, 82 rpm operating point as an example, the calculation results are compared for three modes of compressor surge consideration. The “stable” mode provides the fastest and the most stable calculations, while the calculations under the full-scale surge mode could generate the numerical (nonphysical) instability of calculations, which are caused by the high sensitivity of the two-stroke engines to the gas exchange processes as it is shown. The mild surge mode provides fast and stable enough calculation with the surge consideration ability, which could be assumed as the best solution for the given example. The researcher should choose between provided three modes of the centrifugal compressor surge consideration according to the calculations tasks, preferring “stable” mode for initial model setup and mild surge mode for the surge probability check, while the accurate compressor surge simulation needs further development.

Анотація:
Purpose. Development of a new methodology for calculating gas reserves for gas wells of any productivity. Methodology. The calculation method was developed using the theoretical provisions of gas dynamics. It is based on the actual data from the study on gas wells in one developed mode. Findings. For the first time, a methodology for calculating gas reserves was proposed during the development of one study mode. In parallel with the calculation of gas reserves, the possibility of analytical calculation of a significant number of gas-hydrodynamic parameters opens up. Originality. The developed methods for calculating the value of the initial gas reserves and gas-hydrodynamic parameters of the studied gas objects have no analogs in domestic and world practice. The first of the methods is distinguished by the simplicity of calculation and the availability of the initial data for its use. The second is based on the differential, differential-integral, and integral methods to improve the accuracy of the calculated results. Practical value. The new methods for calculating gas reserves will make it possible to quickly assess hydrocarbon raw materials in the investigated object. The availability, minimization, and accuracy of the initial data for calculating gas reserves are undoubtedly signs of the optimality of the method. The simplicity of the calculation makes it possible to widely use the technique. The use of a new methodology for interpreting the results of gas well research in one mode will make it possible to depart from the traditional research method. Due to this, the number of research modes is reduced by several times. It also means a reduction in emissions to the atmosphere if the well is not operated with backpressure at the wellhead. A significant reduction in the cost of the research process due to the reduction in research time is also a factor in significant savings in research funds.

The paper considers methodological aspects during the development of thermo-hydro-dynamic of numerical calculation models for spent nuclear fuel pool (SNFP) on the example of Bilibino NPP by using international industry codes. The purpose of these models development is the fast simulation of thermal and humidity operational modes of spent fuel pool during periods of filling, "wet" and dry storage with an interval of up to 50 years, taking into account passive and forced convection heat removal systems. The following methodological aspects are considered in detail: 1. Use of isotope kinetics codes for calculating of the heat power dynamics for separate spent fuel assembly. 2. Calculation method of the heat removal power from the evaporation mirror of SNFP during “wet” storage, including evaporation power calculation and exhaust ventilation operation. Using the law of similarity of heat transfer and mass transfer processes (Lewis' law) for evaporation calculations. 3. Methods of accelerated computational forecasting of the dynamics of the thermal regimes of the SNFP during “wet” storage. 4. Condensation of atmospheric moisture at the bottom of the SNFP after “dry” storage and methods for its removal. It is shown that TRAC (TRACE) code with a 3D porous body model and complete evaporation-condensation models is the most suitable for solving the problems under consideration among the system thermo-hydraulic two-phase codes for nuclear energy.

This paper presents a technology of making coupled simulations of weakly deformable bodies moving in elastoplastic environment and defining its mode of deformation. Calculation of penetration of a projectile is made by EGAK methods on a fixed calculating mesh implying that the projectile is rigid and its inner structure is unimportant. Fluid flow is calculated in a noninertial base that is connected with the stationary projectile (using BODY-3D method). Mode of deformation of the projectile is calculated on a Lagrangian mesh using software package LOGOS. Finite-element model of the projectile with the required degree of detail is used with real elastoplastic material properties of its structural parts. Loading of the projectile is implemented with an assignment of force boundary condition on its outer surface. Methods of coupling calculations and test results are provided. In this paper, it is shown that test results obtained by this developed technology are in a good agreement with direct modeling on a fixed calculating mesh. As an example of using this technology, calculation results of a penetrator-probe MoonLITE intruding into a soft soil barrier are presented. This penetrator is developed within the scope of MoonLITE mission of studying the Moon and can deepen into moon soil. Results of numerical simulations are in a good agreement with the experimental data, maximum difference for average slow-down rate of the penetrator is 10–15%.

Binary collision approximation (BCA) calculation allows for two types of damage calculation: full cascade and quick calculations. Full cascade mode describes fully the cascades while in quick calculations, only the trajectory of the ion is followed and effective formulas give an estimation of the damage resulting from each collision of the ion. We implement quick calculation of damage in the Iradina code both for elemental and multi-component solids. Good agreement is obtained with SRIM. We show that quick calculations are unphysical in multi-component systems. The choice between full cascade and quick calculations is discussed. We advise to favour full cascade over quick calculation because it is more grounded physically and applicable to all materials. Quick calculations remain a good option for pure solids in the case of actual quantitative comparisons with neutron irradiations simulations in which damage levels are estimated with the NRT (Norgett-Robinson and Torrens) formulas.

Abstract. The possibility to calculate linear-source receptor relationships for the transport of atmospheric trace substances with a Lagrangian particle dispersion model (LPDM) running in backward mode is shown and presented with many tests and examples. The derivation includes the action of sources and of any first-order processes (transformation with prescribed rates, dry and wet deposition, radioactive decay, ...). The backward mode is computationally advantageous if the number of receptors is less than the number of sources considered. The combination of an LPDM with the backward (adjoint) methodology is especially attractive for the application to point measurements, which can be handled without artificial numerical diffusion. Practical hints are provided for source-receptor calculations with different settings, both in forward and backward mode. The equivalence of forward and backward calculations is shown in simple tests for release and sampling of particles, pure wet deposition, pure convective redistribution and realistic transport over a short distance. Furthermore, an application example explaining measurements of Cs-137 in Stockholm as transport from areas contaminated heavily in the Chernobyl disaster is included.

For machine components like gears and bearings, working life calculation is one of the complex issues to deal with. This is because the mechanics of their operation is dependent on many parameters, like loading, friction and lubrication etc. Also the influence of these parameters on the component failure modes cannot be perfectly idealized. But in this regard, standards like AGMA (American Gear Manufacturers Association); ISO (International Standard Organization) and BS (British Standards) are quite useful on the basis of which theoretical working life for machine components under a specific failure mode can be predicted. In this paper with linear pitting failure mode assumptions, theoretical working life calculation has been made for a helical gear. BS-ISO 6336-2 standard is used for the gear theoretical life calculations. Furthermore, a wear debris analysis based experiment has been performed for the validation of theoretical calculation. A back to back gear testing rig has been used for the experimental validation. The experimental results show that the theoretical life calculation made on the basis of BS-ISO 6336-2 standards is fairly accurate.

Computation of a path independent contour integration but it yields directly the independent values of the opening mode and shear mode stress intensity factors. The calculations are not sensitive to the choice of contour. To the J-integral calculation, the present scheme calculates separately the factors KI and KII. A simple method to determine the SIFs for the three-dimensional crack is proposed based on the conservation integral.

Purpose. Development of methods and algorithms for calculation of starting modes of the induction motors with the squirrel-cage rotor. Methodology. Mathematical modelling of starting modes of asynchronous electric drives in various coordinate systems with the use of numerical methods for solving boundary problems for systems of differential equations and nonlinear systems of final equations and calculation with their use of static characteristics. Results. Methods and algorithms for numerical analysis of the starting modes of asynchronous electric drive have been developed, which make it possible to calculate the static characteristics and transients in fixed three-phase and orthogonal two-phase coordinate systems. Academic novelty. Known in the literature methods of calculation of starting modes have in their basis classical equivalent circuits with different approximate methods of calculating the parameters taking into account the saturation of a magnetic core and current displacement in a rotor winding. This approach requires a special solution of the adequacy problem for each problem. The methods described in the article for the saturation accounting use real magnetization characteristics of the main magnetic flux and leakage fluxes separately, and the skin effect phenomenon is taken into account by representing the squirrel-cage rotor winding as multilayer. Such mathematical model of the motor is universal and makes it possible to take into account the saturation and current displacement in any dynamic mode, including the start-up process. Mathematical models developed on the basis of the proposed methods provide the adequacy of results with a minimum amount of calculations and make it possible to perform optimization calculations. Practical value. Created on the basis of developed algorithms calculation programs allow to carry out with high reliability calculation of starting modes both in three-phase and two-phase axes of coordinates that gives the chance to analyze not only symmetric, but also asymmetric modes and to predict special features of functioning of system of the electric drive in the set technological conditions of operation and to form requirements to development and adjustment of starting systems with the purpose of maintenance of power effective and reliable operation of system of asynchronous electric drives.

AbstractThe model of thermionic electron gun was developed. The Dirichlet problem for the cylinder (the Wehnelt electrode) restricted by two bottoms, one of them imitates a plane cathode and another imitates the equipotential surface, was solved analytically. It allows to study electron optical properties of the gun and its behaviour in dependence on Wehnelt potential for different cylinder depths. When the focal distance and the crossover size have the minimal value, this mode is called a work one. The crossover size and the beam half-angle values in this mode were approximated and the analytical method for electron gun calculation was developed.

The aim of the work is to analyze the existing method of calculating the spillway from the depth of the free flow under uneven mode in prismatic channels with a slowly changing movement and to develop a method of calculations that allows applying it to any flows in a prismatic channel without using any special tables. The existing methods for calculating flow parameters are based on the use of the Chesy formula to determine the flow consumption with a slowly changing water movement. At the same time, there is a V.I. Charnomsky’s method of direct calculation of the flow parameters from the energy equation without limiting the value of the channel slope. The disadvantage of this method is a possibility to solve the energy equation by the method of sequential approximation since the flow energy equation includes two variables, the flow depth and the distance between the sections. To eliminate this difficulty, it is proposed to determine the distance between the depths that make up the geometric progression on the considered part of the channel which allows calculating parameters of the free fl ow surface for any channel slopes and hydraulic flow modes without to special tables.

At the end of this paper the cost-benefit Analyses is applied on the optimal reconstructed power distribution network.

The temperature dependence of the damping constant is calculated for various Raman modes in ( NH 4)2 SO 4 by the expressions derived from the soft mode–hard mode coupling model and the energy fluctuation model. The expressions for the damping constant are fitted to the measured Raman bandwidths and then the activation energies are extracted, which are equal to ~0.2 eV for the Raman modes studied. The damping constant of a soft mode is also calculated and the activation energy (~0.1 eV) is deduced in this crystal. Values of the activation energies obtained here, can be compared with the value of k B T C = 0.02 eV for ( NH 4)2 SO 4. This indicates that this ferroelectric material undergoes an order–disorder transition. It is concluded that the observed behaviour of ( NH 4)2 SO 4 can be described reasonably by the soft mode–hard mode coupling model considered here.

Mass rapid transit (MRT) is an efficient transportation mode that is urgently needed by a growing city such as Jakarta, Indonesia. However, limited research has attempted to evaluate the system’s current performance through a comprehensive, unit-based calculation of the costs of MRT operation and maintenance. This research aimed to develop a system for calculating and comparing MRT operation and maintenance costs per kilometer per year. The cost model has three components, namely, capital, operation cost, and maintenance cost, which are, respectively, calculated based on their percentage toward total cost. The cost model calculation determined that Jakarta MRT operation and maintenance costs total USD 8.44 million per kilometer per year. This result was compared to other countries’ MRT operations.

The operating mode of the lighting line depends on the correct choice of conductor cross section. The magnitude of the cross section has an influence on the provision of the required voltage levels on the light sources. The choice of the conductor cross section has been fulfilled based on calculations of the operating mode of the standard line of outdoor lighting specified in the article. Luminaries with high pressure sodium lamps connected through electromagnetic ballasts were used as sources of light. When choosing the conductor cross section of light lines a number of simplifications are commonly used. Attention is paid to the choice of sections without such assumptions: the inductive resistance of conductors is taken into account; the power of the luminaire depends on the voltage level in it. Luminaries with high pressure sodium lamps are the sources of high harmonics. Three variants of calculation are demonstrated depending on the accounting (or non-accounting) of high odd harmonics. The methods of calculating the mode of the lighting line are also presented in the article. The calculation is performed with the aid of Mathcad software. Operating parameters for each phase of the line (i.e. voltage in the items of the scheme, power, currents, power, and voltage losses in all the sections) were determined. The diagrams of the voltage distribution at items of the lighting line for three variants of calculation are plotted for various sections of aluminum conductors. On this basis the choice of the optimum magnitude of the conductor cross section of the lighting line was made. The obtained results of different calculation variants are compared. The comparison of the results obtained with the use of various methods of calculation was made. The impact of high harmonics on the operating mode of the line under consideration has been analyzed. The presence of high harmonics causes an increase of voltage losses, the distortion of sinusoidal voltage. The current of neutral conductor is comparable with the current of phase conductors, besides, the harmonics multiple of 3 are of great importance as they influence on the magnitude of the current.

Modern electricity consumers place increasingly high demands on the level of reliability of power supply and, correspondingly, the reliability of electric power systems (EPS). These requirements should be directly addressed in the EPS development planning tasks. To this end, the evaluation of the level of EPS reliability is performed by employing software and computer systems that have various methods of reliability evaluation implemented therein. Among the variety of methods for identifying reliability indicators to evaluate resource adequacy the most appropriate one is the Monte Carlo method (the method of statistical tests): it enables to perform calculations within a reasonable time with the required accuracy, while the calculation of complex EPS-like systems by means of analytical methods proves impossible because of the large dimensionality of the problem. However, even when using the Monte Carlo method, the difficulties arise as well, namely the problem of the need to reproduce a large number of random states of the simulated EPS and the calculation of the operating mode of each of them. There are several ways to reduce the overall calculation time by either efficient random number generators and optimizers or alternative methods of the calculation of operating modes. The article deals with the issue of bringing up to date the method behind reliability calculation that makes use of the Monte Carlo method. We propose to use regression analysis methods when calculating operating modes of random states of the EPS. To this end, we adopt the support-vector machine and the random forest method. Experimental studies covered in the article attest to the efficiency of the new method, for the 24-node system IEEE RTS-96 the calculation speed has been increased by almost a factor of 4 while maintaining accuracy.

The temperature dependence of the spontaneous polarizationPis calculated in the ferroelectric phase of KH2PO4(KDP) at atmospheric pressure (TC= 122 K). Also, the dielectric constantεis calculated at various temperatures in the paraelectric phase of KDP at atmospheric pressure. For this calculation ofPandε, by fitting the observed Raman frequencies of the soft mode, the microscopic parameters of the pure tunnelling model are obtained. In this model, the proton-lattice interaction is not considered and the collective proton mode is identified with the soft-mode response of the system. Our calculations show that the spontaneous polarization decreases continuously in the ferroelectric phase as approaching the transition temperatureTC. Also, the dielectric constant decreases with increasing temperature and it diverges in the vicinity of the transition temperature (TC= 122 K) for KDP according to the Curie-Weiss law.

A technique developed to carry out experimental acoustic modal analysis using commercially available structural modal analysis software is described. This uses a finite difference calculation to determine the spatial variation in pressure. In order that the resulting function exhibits the same nodes and antinodes as the actual pressure distribution at resonance, a second-order finite difference calculation is performed to obtain the second spatial derivative. This is implemented in practice using a three side-by-side microphone probe with an analogue differential amplifier. The technique is verified by measuring the natural frequencies and mode shapes of a bare rectangular office. These results are compared with analytical calculations and output from a finite element model. The results show very good agreement for all modes in the frequency range of interest.

Under high temperature conditions in the cylinder, the gas radiation heat transfer is researched in the complex heat transfer theory. A statistical correlation K narrow band model, a mean absorption coefficient, a gas line databases, by-line calculation method are found, through research and analysis emissivity, transmittance, absorption coefficient, typical models, mathematical equations, database, calculation methods. Examine the distribution performance of each database for different media concentration and temperature, a statistical narrow-band band parametric model accuracy is tested, using statistical narrow band model, the results of the use of by-line method. Research shows: selected spectral database, calculation method has a greater impact on the results. The research also shows the result coincides calculations based by-line HITEWP2010 database method, whether radiant heat or wall flux, statistical narrow band model. These are supplied to the internal combustion engine cylinder design.

Ignoring the effect of prestress can increase the gap between the actual results and research results, which is not conducive to improve the vibration localization of bladed disk system and the finite element calculation. To improve the vibration localization and computational efficiency, the prestressed component mode synthesis method (PCMSM) was adopted to establish the finite element reduced-order model considering prepress. Since the main calculation precision of the prestressed component mode synthesis method was the mode truncation number, calculation was made to the eigenfrequency of different mode truncations; the contrast and analysis were made to the calculation result of blisk model, minimum mode truncation number under the above calculation precision was obtained, and freedom of the model was greatly reduced. The finite element reduced-order model was collocated to make an analysis of the vibration response characteristics of mistuned bladed disk. From the aforementioned analysis, the maximum amplitude of mistuned bladed disk was not only associated with the mistuning value of blade but also related to the frequency of adjacent blade; on the basis of such a rule, the finite element reduced-order model was adopted to raise an optimization algorithm for the blade vibration reduction and arrangement. Results have revealed that the optimization algorithm has made an adequate consideration of both model precision and calculation speed. The maximum dimensionless amplitude of blade vibration under three mistuning patterns and upon optimization is greatly reduced by 32.8%, 30.1%, and 28%. The localization factor of blade vibration under three mistuning patterns and upon optimization is greatly reduced by 64%, 68.5%, and 57.2%. The optimization algorithm based on the prestressed component mode synthesis method gets the optimization value by not more than 15 iterations. The optimization algorithm has greatly reduced the amplitude of the blade and obviously dampened vibration localization of the bladed disk system.

Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to analyze far and near field emitted field patterns through more exact calculation of the modes formed in finite periodic dielectric gratings. Design/methodology/approach – For the mode calculation, equations are newly defined by applying vertical boundary condition on the assumption that transverse electric modes are generated in the structure. After finding modes, near field patterns are calculated using the wave number and coefficient of the mode. Findings – Additionally, the results from these calculations are compared with that of the rigorous-coupled method. Finally, far field patterns are derived by applying fast Fourier transform to near field patterns and also compared with the results of rigorous-coupled method. Research limitations/implications – For convenience of coordinate, we use rectangular coordinate, though the shape of radome is a hemisphere. Practical implications – In this paper, the authors derive more exact near field patterns without the assumption of infiniteness so that these results can be used practically for a making real frequency-selective structure. Originality/value – Conventional periodic finite dielectric gratings analysis has been done using Floquet–Bloch wave theory, coupled-mode, rigorous-coupled method which is based on the assumption of infiniteness of the structure.

There are two options for the state estimation procedure by the integration filter for the integrated SINS/GPS, namely: direct navigation mode and indirect navigation mode. Determining which one of the two navigation modes will be more celebrated than the other under different conditions is an important but so far less seriously treated issue. The two navigation modes were systematically studied in terms of the system model, filtering algorithm and application issues. The car-mounted experiments were carried out to compare two navigation modes under different road conditions. The results show that direct navigation mode performs indirect navigation mode in terms of accuracy and stability. However, indirect navigation mode has low calculation burden and simple filter design.

A method for calculating the geomagnetic activity index Dst (Dst-index) based on a wavelet model of geomagnetic field variations is proposed. The method allows values of the Dst-ndex to be automatically obtained with a 1-minute resolution. The method is tested using data from equatorial stations [1]. The paper describes a calculation algorithm and presents estimation results. The calculation results are compared with the classical approach and the Kyoto method [2]. It is shown that the proposed method allows values of the Dst index to be obtained in the on-line mode with an admissible error.

This paper discusses an alternative method for calculating modal parameters in optical fibers such as propagation constants, transverse distributions, and anisotropy, due to linear and nonlinear phenomena acting as perturbations caused by doped silica regions. This method is based on a Hamiltonian formulation of the Helmholtz equation and the stationary perturbation theory, which allows a full-vectorial description of the electric field components when linear anisotropic inhomogeneities and Kerr nonlinearity are included. Linear and nonlinear parameters can be found for each propagating mode, and its accuracy has been successfully tested when compared to numerical calculations from the vector finite element method, and the results are published in the literature. This method facilitates the calculation of the spatial-distributed perturbation effects on individual electric field components for each propagating mode.

The aim of the research is to analyze the methods of calculating and evaluation of the bearing capacity of corrugated metal structures (the CMS) in cooperation with soil backfill as a result of stress from rolling stock or vehicles. To prove the applicability of these methods for the calculation of pipes of different diameters and different structural forms. Methodology. The methods of calculating the deflected mode of corrugated metal pipes of small diameter (up to 3 m.) at constant load, and calculation methods CMS of large diameter more than 6 m are analyzed. Findings. The calculated models that take into account the spatial work of structures is more correct than " flat " models and calculated scheme, and therefore the calculation of the CMS is to apply three-dimensional calculation model which model the most realistic work of corrugated metal structures. Originality. For the first time the methods of calculation and experience designing of flexible corrugated metal structures at interaction of soil backfill and under the influence of the stress from the rolling stock and road transport are analyzed. Practical value. Density functional theory has been used to calculate normal mode infrared stretching vibrational frequencies and intensities of neutral as well as cationic modeled bacteriochlorophyll molecules. For bacteriochlorophyll-a, the calculated IR absorption band position for neutral and cation states of Bchl-a1 and Bchl-a2 structures have well matched with the published experimental results. Bacteriochlorophyll models having 133-ester C=O and 131-keto C=O have both symmetric as well as antisymmetric vibration in neutral state. Symmetric mode of vibration has higher frequency and lower intensity whereas antisymmetric mode has slightly lower in frequency and higher in intensity. However, in cation formation, the 131-keto and 133-ester vibrations decoupled and 131-keto mode has higher frequency having intensity nearly double than that of 133-ester C=O mode. This observation of frequency upshift and IR intensity change of various carbonyl groups of Bacteriochlorophyll-a4 model molecule upon cation formation is a strong reasoning to explain the experimental difference spectra of bacteriochlorophyll-a dimer in purple bacteria reaction centre (Leonhard & Mantele, 1993, Breton et al. 1999).Journal of Institute of Science and Technology, 2015, 20(2): 94-100

Storing grain quality materials in post harvest handling and storage is largely dependent on correctly implemented the drying process. In agricultural production mainly use costly convection dryer. The main share of wasteful energy consumption accounts for heat drying agent, some heat is lost to the environment through the working surface of the dryers and spent coolant. Ways to reduce these energy costs is to reduce the amount of drying agent in the process to the level necessary to absorb and remove moisture from the dryer and the working volume of the principles of targeted "delivery" of energy to vysushuyemoho material. Last principles successfully implemented using contactless energy supply of electromagnetic fields in a material exposure by microwave or infrared radiation. The article deals with the theoretical background processes of drying material in cyclic mode with infrared heating and high frequency electromagnetic field. The equations change over time settings grain material by heating using high frequency electromagnetic field or infrared light and ventilation in the grain does not allow heated air drying cycle count process. The algorithm calculating the overall process of drying cycle to determine rational modes of the process, providing minimize energy costs. Within the framework of density functional theory, an ab initio calculation was carried out to study the crystal structure, phonon spectrum and elastic constants of a series of rare-earth germanates, including yttrium germanate R2Ge2O7 (R = Tb-Lu, Y) with tetragonal structure. The frequencies and types of fundamental vibrations as well as the intensities of the IR and Raman modes were determined. The degree of participation of ions in each mode was determined from the analysis of the displacement vectors obtained from the ab initio calculation. The calculations were performed for the first time. The corresponding experimental data for the entire series, with the exception of the IR and Raman spectra of yttrium germanate, are absent. The calculations made it possible to interpret and supplement available in the scientific articles results of measurements of the IR and Raman spectra of yttrium germanate Y2Ge2O7.

Internal tides generated by the interaction of the barotropic tide with bottom topography are studied by using an analytical solution. Tide-topography resonance takes place when the wavenumber of the truncated sinusoidal topography is equal to that of one baroclinic mode. The minimum amplitude of the resonant mode increases from the center of the domain to both sides of the topography; while the maximum keeps the same. Amplitudes of the internal tides and mode conversion rate are analyzed as a function of the length and wavenumber of the topography. For non-resonant modes, the amplitudes are weak and vary periodically with the extending of the topography, and are exactly zero when the length of topography is integral times of the mode-1 wavelength. For resonant modes, the amplitudes increase with the length of the topography. For each internal tide mode, there is a response zone, where the amplitude for one mode is obviously larger than other baroclinic modes. The response zones for high modes are wider than those for low modes. Mode conversion rate is obviously high when the wavenumber of the topography is equal to that of the baroclinic modes; otherwise it is almost zero. Furthermore, mode conversion rate for small topography wavenumber is more than that for large topography wavenumber with the same number of the sinusoidal topography, and is less with the same topography length.
