Zheng, Yongsong. "Blanc de Chine (1490-1949) : l'odyssée de la porcelaine de Dehua." Electronic Thesis or Diss., Sorbonne université, 2025. http://www.theses.fr/2025SORUL008.
Повний текст джерелаTranslated as Zhongguo bai 中國白 in modern Chinese, the term “blanc de Chine” today refers to the white porcelain produced in Dehua kilns, situated in Fujian's coastal province, where production has continued since the Ming dynasty (1368-1644). Despite its prominent presence in French collections, research specifically dedicated to this porcelain remains limited, leaving key questions about its identification, origin, and dating unresolved. This dissertation, therefore, seeks to offer a new synthesis on blanc de Chine, beginning with its reception in Europe, then examining its dissemination, and finally tracing it back to its origins in production. Though unconventional or seemingly reversed in approach, this trajectory gradually brings us to essential questions, ultimately guiding us back to the origins of this porcelain. The aim of this dissertation is not, however, to write a complete history of blanc de Chine. Instead, it endeavors to integrate global and local perspectives to place this porcelain within its unique historical context. One fundamental question—simple in appearance yet widely debated—shapes this study: What are the specific characteristics of blanc de Chine? In other words, what precisely defines blanc de Chine? Among the tangible goals of this work are to enhance the appreciation of French collections and to promote the cultural value of dragon kilns, whose artisanal construction and firing techniques face extinction today

Повний текст джерелаAround 2008, a literary genre called "zhichang xiaoshuo" arouses enthusiasm in China: bestsellers with their adaptations generate several hundred works in the same vein. This phenomenon that we call "white-collar literature" is literary, socio-economic and cultural at once. New in the history of literature, this literature is atypical due to the professional identity of its authors, its hybrid forms, and also its production methods. Four works, including most publicized and most original, constitute our core corpus, and offer a sample of the richness of the phenomenon. Our work takes a two-pronged approach, both socio-historical and literary. For works of the corpus, we first study the plot, the characters, the textual structure and narrative techniques. We examine in parallel two fictions by renowned writers who portrayed the working world of the early and late 1980s, respectively, and two fictions in the “guanchang” and the “shangchang” genres at the turn of the century or contemporary with “zhichang xiaoshuo”. The economic, political and cultural context in which the phenomenon appeared is widely studied. We also analyze the adaptations as variants of the literary work, and try to explain their differences. Finally, we explore the functions of this popular literature in twenty-first century Chinese society which is, on the one hand, proud of its prosperity and enjoying the benefits of new technologies; and on the other hand, marked by the trauma of its past and by a general loss of bearings

Повний текст джерелаCantonese opera is one of the most important of chinese main opera types. It uses the cantonese language and is spread throughout Guandong, Guangxi and a among overseas cantonese - speaking chinese in South - Asia and north and North America. Opera performances in the canton area can be traced to as early as the fourteenth century. Since the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, although opera flourished, the language used was still manderin, it is impossible to speak of it as "cantonese opera". At the beginning of this century "idealistic opera troupes" (called zhish) launched a reform mouvement in canton, Hong-Kong and Macao, singing and speaking in the cantonese language on original revolutionary themes. Their reform gained local troupes who helped spread the use of cantonese in opera. In the 20's the troupes form canton and HongKong were influenced by western drama, stage production and cinema, giving birth to modern cantonese opera which reached its peak in the 20' and 30's and began its decline as early as the 40's. This thesis also discusses cantonese opera in rural communities and its present conditions

Повний текст джерелаInner Mongolia (now a province of the PRC) had more than a thousand lamaist temples and monasteries at the beginning of the 20th century. This very valuable and little studied collection of buildings is a major heritage of the Mongol culture and the Buddhist art and deserves study on both accounts. Although derived from the Chinese and Tibetan architectural traditions, Mongolian religious architecture exhibits a great many original characteristics. The first part of the dissertation studies the historical process of the building of the monasteries, from the “mongol renaissance” of the mid-16th century, around Altan Qan and his capital Köke Qota, to this century. The second part describes the physical aspect of the monasteries, as they could be studied during fieldwork completed between 1993 and 1998, supplemented with various published material (Chinese local history and gazetteers, Japanese observations of the Manchukuo period and travelogues). The third part builds on the description and the history to give an analysis of the major characteristics of Mongolian religious architecture, and finally determines its major types as well as their historical significance. Field material (maps, photographs. . . ) are provided in the appendix

Повний текст джерелаThe present monography on to shanghai - in three volumes, including one of illustrations - deals with the highlights in a century and a half of urban development : it analyzes the boost of the metropolis from the second part of the xixth century to its new dimensions symbolized by the development of the pudong area over the last decade, which occured after a thirty years sleep. The search of the city's structuring patterns aims at bringing out the roots from which shanghai' identity sprung. Urban modernisation forms are analyzed on two interlinked scales : a global urban dimension, that of an bird's views or urban planning designs, and a daily based understanding perceved by the pedestrian, that of the shanghai housing. A paradox is that the regularity of the urban network was established during the concessions era, when the city was managed by three different authorities. This urban parcel system will last until the 1990's great public works which will then radically change the system, underwent deep changes. During the maoist regime, an anti-urban policy together with an extremely restricted municipal budget brought the developement to a halt : efforts were aimed at building standardized housing in peripherical blocks or in satellite-cities. At the beginning of the 1980's, the need fot global urban measures became acute facing the public transportation saturation and the recurrent housing shortage crisis. The pudong area project, planned as early as the mid-1980's, became a reality a decade later thanks to dynamic city politicians able to impose their project to the central government and convince international investors. Whether by the housing reform or the selling of land in the city centre, the daily lifestyles of the shanghainese is forever changing in an urban surrounding itself in mutation for the past twenty years

Повний текст джерелаChina remained the sole purveyor of tea in the world until the 1850's. Based on the living art in china. Tea created a culture in europe. Especially in great britain. The frenzy for tea led the british to push their demands for the opening of the chinese frontiers. They finally created a market for their products in exchange for tea or silk. This resulted in the opening of the country brought about by the opium war, which profoundly influenced the entire traditional economy and society of tea. The chinese had large exports. And its peasants and merchants benefited from these efforts. They finally reached their limits. However, when new producers began to appear on the scene. This resulted in the decline of trade and constituted an important element in the crisis that emerged in the 20th century. This thesis is a study of all these events throughout this period

Повний текст джерелаThe jiangnan arsenal and shipyard was established by the regional public authorities in 1865, and has played a leading role in the economic and naval modernization of china. Its history helps us to follow the specific relations between the chinese state and its public enterprises. After a first part which relates the historical background and the traditional role of the imperial state, we try to definie the state of the jiangnan shipyard from 1905 to 1927. At this particular period, the arsenal and the dock were spareted and the dock becam a "free public enterprise". During these two decades, jiangnan's management and commercial policy were comparable to a private enterprise. Its modern organization stemmed from a "sino-foreign mixed management". In the third part, we analyze the shift in the management of jiangnan during the nanking decade (1927-1937). Then, the nationalist government marked a major step in the direction of central control over industrial development in china. Despite a central control, jiangnan has always tried to keep an autonomous management

Повний текст джерелаThe temple of Heaven in Pekin constitutes not only an excellent area for architectural studies, it also provides a perfect example illustrating the layout method and module system. By researching the initial modules used for the layout, it was important to trace stages of architectural history and make comparisons with the different historical periods mentioned in ancient texts. This study has produced interesting results which provides explanations showing how architectural coherence was maintained in spite of destruction of some buildings and modification of others during the five centuries since its creation. Using the European method for an architectural monograph, this thesis shows an original way of studying a specific Chinese traditional architectural complex as a whole. Checks have been made on chronological coherence between the layout and historical facts mentioned in the ancient texts

Повний текст джерелаSince Shanghai’s Opening to foreign trade, a rather complete Urban Construction Administration System has been developed in the foreign settlement. It was based on the political system and economic system, including the Urban Planning Administration System and the Land Use System. Urban Planning was a technical support to the Urban Construction Administration System. However, its realization was based on the system whose key is the institution about Eminent Domain. In such a mechanism lied the reason for the evolution of public space. Thus, an “organic” and gradual changing way became the identity of the public space of the International Settlement. This dissertation is a research on the institutional factors in the urban constructions and the influence they had on the evolution of public space. The research focused on the period from the Opening to the 1930’, and on the area of International Settlement. Some comparisons are made among the municipal councils of International Settlement, the French Concession, and the city government of KMT’s. The epilogue is a summarization of the relationships among the institution, the planning and the public space, and some inspires will be found

Повний текст джерелаOn plenty of Dunhuang paintings, painted between 7th and 10th centuries, Manjusri appears riding on a lion, and in relation with Mount Wutai. This is one of the most famous theme of Chinese Middle Age buddhist iconography. Most of wall-paintings dealing with that topic are located in Mogao caves. That pictural thematic originating in Indiana was perfectly adapted to the chinese cultural context. The purpose of the present work is the study of chinese buddhist and lay sources in China under Tang dynasty, particularly we provide an analysis of prototypes and models of representation within the frame of buddhist art development during that period. Thus, it was highlighted various phenomenons related to the evolution and transmission of buddhist iconographic items in a context of close exchanges between indian, bactrian, sogdian, chinese and tibetan cultures from 7th to 10th centuries. The analysis of iconographic and textual chinese materials also led us to define the development of a thematic related with religious or lay practices in Mount Wutai and Dunhuang regions, and its way getting into images. Each of these representations is given an interpretation in the chinese cultural context, and when possible, a link to textual sources or a model is suggested. Then, it turns out that these representations from Dunhuang constitute an exceptional documentation that gives us the possibility to restore an episode of the history of Buddhist iconography in China during the middle-age period

Повний текст джерелаThe purpose of this work is to study the formation of the cult of Ksitigarbha and its development up to the 13th century. In the first chapter, the first sutra where this bodhisattva is mentionned, are presented and analysed, on this basis, we express the opinion that the origin of this cult must be found in central Asia. The importance of the notion of decline of the law is emphasized. We also show the role played by the school of the three degree a in the sinisation of this cult. The second chapter is based essentially on the manuscripts from Dunhuang. Some collections of popular stories have also been used. The study of thee materials shows that the devotion to Ksitigarbha was integrated in the practices of the school of pure land. Several ceremonies such as fast days, funerals especially those, which are associated with the ten kings are presented. The third chapter, devoted to iconography, has for main purpose to search confirmation for the conclusions made at the end of the analysis of scriptural authorities. Some new materials are given through the study of the rupestral center of Sichuan. More than 40 places are given as illustrations

It grew to become a metropolitan city in the period of concessions, when a new economic order was established. After the introduction of communism the city planned its economy largely according to the state urban policy, in an ideological perspective of national development. The study of these urban transformations in shanghai, analyzed period by period, throws light on the different stages in the evolution of the social and spatial order. Attention is drawn to the various forces a play-social, political and economic and how the "strategy" of these forces influences and transforms the physical city. This enables the different phases and levels of transformation to be identified

Повний текст джерелаIf the classical image of the french imperialism defined by lenin requires a reexamination and if it reflects the characteristics of the french policy towards china and the big enterprise of the banque industrielle de chine realized by the berthelot brothers are in this respect typical detectors. The tentatives of the chinese modernization started since 1895, gave the great powers a golden opportunity for their economic, financial and politic penetration. In front of the rivals, france which, since the 1850's had pursued in asia the expansion policy, wasn't possessed of many favorable factors : want of competitive price, timidity and narrow-mindedness of the french capitalists, etc. , with the exception of her accumulation of capital (financial arm). Philippe berthelot, vice-director of asia, hit on the plan of foundation ofan ideal bank (french chinese bank) and asked the banque de l'indochine, quasi-national bank, to realize his plan. But this bank, which had been under the control of five big banks at paris, objected to it strongly. It was andre berthelot, ex-deputy, that carried out in 1913 the plan of his brother in spite of their objection : hence the rivalry and the antagonism between the two banks. Thanks to the supports of the chinese and french governments, the new bank developed very rapidly and constituted a trump card of the french expansion in china

Повний текст джерелаIntroduced in China by the end of the ninetieth century, but banished for almost three decades by the communist power, sociology rises from its ashes at the end of the 1970s in the new context of economic reforms. The rebirth of this social science in China provides a critical case for the study of the political, social and intellectual conditions essential for the discipline. To understand this reconstitution process, my object is first to redraw the introduction of sociology in China before its suppression in the 1950s. Taking into account this historical background, I present, in a second part, both the theoretical and methodological challenges that are at stake in this research. The third part provides enlightenments on the complex and contradictory process towards scientific normativity, through debates such as the sinisation of sociology, the role of experts and intellectuals, as well as the commitment patterns of different generations of sociologists and their interactions with various social actors, especially with political elites. I finally examine, in a fourth part, how Chinese sociologists have formulated and answered some central interrogations which define the "sociologies of modernity" and deal with the construction of modern societies - the issue of "social differenciation" as well as the relations between State and society in China reform-era – while providing, through the issue of the "transition" of Chinese society, a new understanding of communism and of its transformations

Повний текст джерелаFor this study, we propose to study the concept of “Chinese methodology” demanded by Chinese actors working in the teaching of foreign languages in general and the French in particular. For years, the term is made and repeated, without any serious research is conducted on its legitimacy and its definition. For the elucidation of this blurred vision, we strive to adopt an approach that is both historical and didactic by digging methodologies that have been adopted in the teaching of French in China since its origin, that is to say, the year 1850 to today. By this time rebuilding effort, we seek to reveal whether a “Chinese methodology” was well formed on the ground at some point in history, and if necessary, to clarify its meaning. During the research, we were able to identify valuable ideas and teaching practices that are born of the land by translating them into countless precious historical documents. And by this “pass meta”, we try, even if it is for a small part, to fill the empty damaging to the conceptualization of local experiences suffered by the discipline of the ELF in China, and than to empty, to make some personal reflections on the question of the identity of any particular method of teaching foreign languages in a globalized world

Повний текст джерелаOn August 1967, when the People's Republic of China was immersed in the worst excesses of the cultural Revolution, five non-communist countries, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesian, having filed several times to form a regional grouping, finally founded the ASEAN. These countries were united in their oposition to China's territorial claims in the South China Sea, her attitude toward the overseas Chinese in their countries and China's support for the various communist parties in South-East Asia. Since that trime, there have been four major stages in the relations between China and the ASEAN States. There was initially a period of hostility (1967-1970), in wich China viewed ASEAN as an organization extablished to oppose her. The Sea-change in Aerica's Asian policy followed by China's admission to the United-Nnations resulted in a period of mutual uncertainty (1970-1973), with both China and Asean pursuing a wait-and-see policy. From 1973 on, the PRC pursued a policy of openness and good will, resulting in the establishment of diplomatic relations with several ASEAN States. This culminated in 1978 with the present working alliance between China and the ASEAN Nations which has the shared objective of opposing the Vietnamese occupation of Cambodia. In order to maintain this alliance, China has forgone discussion of contentious issues with these countries

Повний текст джерелаTianjin has been such a place where Chinese and the foreigners met each other and exchanged frequently for over 150 years. Facing the risk of a dissembling country, the Chinese pioneers led the modernization at the dawn of the 20th century in order to achieve industrial et technical autonomy and to recover China’s image on the international arena. Today, confronted to the crisis of identity lost, the municipality of Tianjin strives to protect its own heritage, inherited from the past and is significant for the future. Based on a study of the history of electrification and of the conservation of the vestiges, this dissertation shows the common point between these two actions in two periods: to learn modern knowledge from the western world and apply it to China. This application gives China the full energy to rejuvenate. We are going to demonstrate that electrification was an important witness of the Chinese regain of autonomy in the technical perspective. They turned from staying under foreigners’ control to succeeding in its effective management. The globalization in the 19th and 20th centuries appears a path to decipher the actions taken by the foreign electric firms to penetrate the Chinese market. We will study the conflicts between the technical requirement of electricity, which is the network extension, and the separation of the electric service in the city under the domination of European administrators and entrepreneurs. We will further the integration of these separate networks and their systematic management under the state monopoly after imperialism ended in China. The urgent task of industrial brownfields conservation and their transformation into hubs for creative activities raise an issue for us to look into the effectiveness of the legal framework of heritage protection, which was introduced one century ago and has been improved all the time. Based on the politics of Tianjin for heritage, we will explore the possibilities and sound ways of enhancing the value of its old electric network

This research is based on a fieldwork achieved in Tongli, gathering interviews of inhabitants and local leaders

Повний текст джерелаAs sinicized Asia secures a more and more important part in the political, military, economic and cultural affairs of the world, it becomes quite necessary to know which philosophy and notions will guide and inspire future endeavours of the P. R. C. , Taiwan and other countries that have been deeply influenced by Chinese culture. China's martial tradition - of which the "Seven Military Classics" may be considered the essence - far from having been brushed aside by westernization, is indeed still referred to by the Chinese of our times. Having expounded the strategic thought of Ancient China, this study will deal with writings of political leaders and generals, including both Nationalists and Communists. Finally, the huge amount of reprints, commentary and research on the "Military classics", of the people involved, of its purpose and aims will be analysed. The most important leaders and strategists of our century may have been influenced by the "Military Classics" or a derivate tradition, they may have been taught in military schools and thoroughly studied by scholars, some limits do however stand out : they have not been "all" generals' nor "all" military academies' reference works ; they have been neglected during the Republic era and between 1957 and 1976 ; Party line and politics tends to interfere with scientific research on this matter. Nevertheless, a keen interest on the part of the Chinese vis-à-vis the military treatises of old cannot be denied. They make up the reference for practical ways and means to serve military, political or business endeavours and a Chinese model of warfare to be taken as broad principles rather than any kind of rigid doctrine

The landscape is an ancient and universal notion which expresses the relationship between men and the world. Simple in appearance, in reality landscape photography demands numerous and diverse studies. For artists, photography, more than a mere tool, is a means of expression. The landscape, being an object in itself, is perceived as an emotional evocation in the research of Chinese photographers. In China, a great landscape photographer aspires less to record nature faithfully than to take part in the process of creation. He turns towards the expression of his internal universe and the way in which to represent his apprehension of nature. Photography in itself displays thereby the referent and its subjective viewpoint, and offers a different perspective on nature. Mediating between man and nature, photography reveals the beauty of the latter. Just as the painter works with his ink brush, the photographer works with light. Due to the spontaneous variations of light and shadow, the images photographed follow the changes and timing of the universe. Through the play on light and shadow, landscape photography reveals a world in black and white; expression of an abstract beauty. In the choice of viewpoint and the arrangement of the different elements, Chinese photographers endeavour to convey the impression they experience and to compose the photograph in such a way that the use of light and space express the charm of the landscape. Thereby, landscape photography in China follows a unique course, which is influenced by ink painting. It’s rapport with landscape photography in the West adds to it much richness and vitality

Повний текст джерелаThis thesis proposes a comparative evaluation of Qing dynasty’s attitudes toward England and Russia during the 17th – 18th centuries. Historians have offered number of answers trying to explain why the Manchus have accepted to sign frontier agreements with Russia in 1689 and 1727 (Treaty of Nerchinsk and of Kiaktha) while refusing systematically to negotiate anything whatsoever with England during the Macartney Embassy of 1793. Instead of adding another voice to a type of research based on trying to find causes for the explanation of different attitudes, which are too often leading to essentializing Chinese culture and traditions, we’re trying to show how attitudes toward strangers are always rooted in contingencies and how they reproduce important similarities according to specific modalities. Those modalities are at the heart of a dynamic process of political self-identification that we call frontier actualization. This frontier actualization plays the crucial role of a filter separating and distinguishing the realm of the Inner and the Outer, and is to be found at the junction of territoriality and political legitimization. Through the lens of this dynamic filter, one can recognize that attitudes and strategies of the Qing dynasty toward strangers are reproducing the same pattern, according to the intensity of the distance toward central power and geopolitical complexities, rather than according to a prescribe set of rules and institutions, traditions, territory, events, and also the populations involved. Because diplomatic strategies are first rooted in the process of integrating peripheral populations, it is possible to recognize a similar pattern in the fluctuating attitudes toward England and Russia, but also toward Dzungars, Khalkhas, Holland, Solons, and even toward the Chinese population living on the different frontiers of the Empire.

Повний текст джерелаThe Quanzhen movement is the great movement of the religious revival in modern China. According to tradition, its founder, Wang Chongyang (1113-1170), had a vision of two immortals and later he converted seven disciples, Ma Danyang, Tan Changzhen, Liu Changsheng, Qiu Changchun, Wang Yuyang, Hao Taigu and Ma Danyang's wife, Su Buer who spread the movement throughout North China. Fifty years later, Quanzhen became the main religious movement in the country. Nowadays, the Quanzhen school still plays an important part and cannot be ignored. The first part of the dissertation, the historical part, begins with the study of the primary sources in order to examine the process which transformed Wang's biography into a hagiography. For instance, apparitions, through no more than vague remarks in the founder's works, were transmitted as facts by his favorite disciple Ma Danyang. Next, we investigate the differences between the personalities of the disciples, reappraise their respective roles and point out the internal diversity of the movement before standardization which followed institutionalization. We also examine how the concept of seven disciples as founders was created in more than a century by the tradition. The second part insists on the daoist nature of the movement. We describe the religious life of the movement and examine how the Quanzhen used Buddhist and Confucianist concepts in its daoist teaching. Next, we attempt to set out the theory of inner alchemy which is one of the most important teachings of the Quanzhen monks. We also insist on the spiritual of inner alchemy in the founder's thoughts. Replying to a Japanese theory, the conclusion maintains that the Quanzhen is not a reforming movement similar to Protestantism but rather, if a comparison is necessary, a movement similar to the European mendicant orders

Повний текст джерелаQigong or "breath training" was the most widespread expression of popular religiosity in post-Mao urban China. Based on traditional forms of mind and body discipline, qigong triggered a massive following in the 1980's and 1990's, until the repression in 1999 of Falungong, a sect derived from the qigong movement. This dissertation is a study of the history of qigong in mainland China from 1949 to 1999. It attempts to answer the question : how did a practise which was originally conceived and recognized as a healing method become the locus of a religious explosion, and then trigger a political conflict ? The first part describes the founding of modern qigong by the Chinese state as a component of its medical institutions, from 1949 to the Cultural Revolution. The second part describes the religious "boom" of qigong, from the end of the Cultural Revolution until 1989, a period when qigong became a mass movement whose legitimating ideology drew on both ancient tradition and modern scientism. Qigong became a contemporary expression of the sectarian subculture which, since the Ming dynasty, has occupied a large place in the Chinese religious landscape. But the open and active participation of state institutions distinguishes qigong from traditional Chinese sectarianism. Qigong could prosper by combining state institutional support and the dynamism of popular groups. The third part analyses the political crisis of qigong in the 1990s, during which several strategies competed for the control of the thousands of masters and millions of adepts, and for the management of the symbolic, economic and political potential of the movement. In the end, an ideological, religious and political radicalisation imposed itself, expressed through Falungong's militancy and the state's repression campaign

Повний текст джерелаDespite a long tradition in education, the People's Republic of China has only recently shown interest in developing its citizens' abilities. In this perspective, it has long been accepted that school had to play the major role. To that effect, a New Curriculum was published in 2001. In a country like China, where book learning and competitive exams have been the tradition for centuries, the new curricular demands aiming at improving the learner's communicative abilities can be a real problem. In secondary schools, it means a new kind of teacher who becomes both a guide and a conductor, working at developing the learn's oral abilities. In this study, we shall deal first with the social and historical context leading to the New Curriculum, and then present a detailed analysis of its implementation through the views of 24 Chinese English teachers in secondary schools in Chengdu, trying to understand how they feel about it and how they deal with it on a daily basis. What they actually say and do will lead us to the conclusion that the typical Chinese English teacher is in favorable to the reform and tries his best to make it work in the classroom. The study of the interactions between teacher is in favorable to the reform and tries in best to make it work in the classroom. The study of the interactions between teacher and learner in the English class shows that some outstanding changes are taking place, despite the perpetuation of some traditional methods. As a conclusion, we will question the relevance of the New Curriculum and wonder if eclectic teaching methods would not be more adapted to the Chinese environment

Повний текст джерелаIn this study, I argue that the contemporany history of China is approach differently in the history textbooks of Mainland China and Taiwan. In particular, the results of a comparison between the two indicate that the subject is poorly treated in Mailand China. Relying heavily on rote memorization of dry facts, names and dates, textbooks in Mainland China lack in depth and subtely. This is especially apparent in the tendency to oversimplify the reality experienced by victims of the Cultural Revolution as well as the tendency of having few activities aimed at develoing the students' analytic skills for interpreting historical facts. In Taiwan, things are no better. In bothy cases, history textbooks suffer from the control of politics. History textbooks should include a higher degree of engaging narratives and a multitude of perspectives ; they should be cross-referenced with relevant sources and illustrations and incorporate activities that can achieve the ideal of enabling students to "think historically". The teaching the history has been regarded for a long time, like that of geography, as a primary means to inculcate in the younger generation a sense of belonging to the nation. Moreover, given the close link between politics and history education, major political changes, whether peaceful or abrupt, often cause changes to the content and objectives of history textbooks. My thesis, entitled "Teaching of History as a Political Instrument", has highlighted the close relationship between political ideologies and the content of history texbooks. My research is based on not only the advice of professionnals, but also my own experience in comparing the textbooks used in Mainland China with those in Taiwan. The last part of my study is devoted to the task of proposing a plan to minimize the influence that political ideologies exert on the teaching of history

Повний текст джерелаThe years 1945 to 1949 represent a time of double transition in china : first the transition from japanese occupation to guomindang's rule, second the civil war and guomindang's defeat which leads to the victory of the communist party. During that period and for the first time, foreign interests are no more in competition with chinese investments, as far as the cotton industry is concerned. An important state-owned group is created, which will compete with the private cotton mills. Funds gathered during the time of "isolated island" (1937-1941) and favorable economic conditions enable the shanghai private cotton mills to enjoy a new "golden age", which will however last no more than two years, as the government takes constraining measures in order to meet the civil war needs and a galloping inflation. Private funds then escape to foreign countries or go illicit. Relations between private companies and state-owned ones become complex, extending from collaboration to confrontation, through all sorts of arrangements. The public sector is altogether a means of state control and a warehouse for cotton products ; submitted to a strong state intervention, it cannot work properly. During these four years, the guomindang economic policy is both rigid and inadequate. As a result, the bourgeoisie will look towards the opposition parties and a certain number of technocrats will leave the public sector. But it is also a time when the first public companies were born in the field of light industry

Повний текст джерелаPierre Ryckmans, born in 1935 in Belgium, is famous throughout the world under the pen name of Simon Leys, which he adopted to write a series of essays on Chinese contemporary politics. However, this perspicacious sinologist is first and foremost a great Chinese art historian. His works have opened new methodological and theoretical perspectives: clear definition of this « one more art » that is calligraphy, periodization of painting, the setting of a terminology for aesthetics, all these based not only on the translation of art treaties, but also of several types of texts that are characteristic of Chinese scholars culture: casual literary notes, comments, memories, Chinese canons… The main contribution of Pierre Ryckmans is to have addressed both Classic and Contemporary China through its visual culture, to have succeeded in adapting art history to the specificities of the field and context of production – specificities related to linguistics, philosophy, literature and politics. In the historiography of Chinese art history, Pierre Ryckmans occupies a prominent place, largely influential to the developments of current international research. These construction mechanisms had to be explained. This dissertation thus focuses on the contribution of Pierre Ryckmans to Chinese art history, in order to emphasise the coherence of his methods and the lasting relevance of its results
