Повний текст джерелаBinary systems in gamma astronomy are stellar objects involving a massive star with a compact object, the lightest in orbit around the other. They emit regularly at high energy and very high energy (E > 100 GeV) for detection by H.E.S.S. telescopes. Despite their low relative number, they are all characterized by a modulation of gamma photon flux which depends on the position of the lightest object. We will focus more on 2 binary systems : LS 5039 and PSR B1259–63, we have a susbstantial data, H.E.S.S. telescopes have regularly observed these objects for more than 10 years. In 2012, a fifth telescope much larger size, began observations and enables to get events at lower energy and then make the connection with other experiments such as Fermi-LAT. A modelling of these two binary systems in anisotropic inverse Compton in Klein–Nishina regime are also presented and the circumstellar disk is taken into account for PSR B1259–63. Data taken by theH.E.S.S. telescopes can be improved. During observations, atmosphere can be degraded and thus affecting the flux of gamma photons collected. It’s therefore important to know the transparency coefficient of the atmosphere during an analysis. Furthermore, the electromagnetic air showers are more distorted because of the Earth’s magnetic field, a study of these phenomenas is necessary to correct these effects

Повний текст джерелаIn the context of gravitational wave detection, Lisa is a challenging project of a low frequency space interferometer aiming at coalescing binaries. Its data analysis is a major purpose of the project, and, restricted to galactic binaries, it is the subject of this PhD. The advantage of this kind of wave is that they are the best compromise between a general enough template for its waveform to be representative and a relative simplicity allowing us to design an original data analysis method for its parameters estimation. This method is based in the comprehension of the wave model, Lisa geometry, and the shape of the parameters space. Our methods consists in six consecutive computing steps, starting from the most obvious parameters (ecliptic latitude and longitude, polarization) to the most inherent parameters (orbital, inclination, amplitude). These six steps are : low frequency heterodyne detection of the signal carrier wave, envelope extraction (amplitude modulation containing the source parameters), after low passing the signal, sweeping of the least mean squares space with dynamic triangular mesh, resolution of Lisa main ambiguity thanks to Lisa Doppler effect, convergence and optimization step with BFGS algorithm (quasi-Newton), and amplitude estimation. Statistical studies we have then led let us first to check the reliability of our method and its noise-prove, then to quantify the exactness reached on the angular location parameters. We also check some symmetries of the system, Lisa sensitivity isotropy, and the parameters non-correlation

Повний текст джерелаThis manuscript is dedicated to the study of the accretion and ejection processes in X-ray Binaries, using radio and X-ray observations as well as numerical simulations. The links and interplay between the accretion disc, the corona and the compact jet. In an introductory part, I first describe the main observational and theoretical properties of the X-ray binaries. I especially emphasize the aspects required to understand the work reported in this manuscript. I also describe the main X-ray and radio observatories used during this work. Then, the first part of this manuscript is dedicated to the accretion processes in X-ray Binaries. I use high energy observations to study one High Mass X-ray Binary (IGR J19140+0951) and two Low-Mass X-ray Binaries (XTE J1818-245 andH1743-322). In the case of IGR Jl9140+0951, observations show that the luminosity generated by the accretion processes can deeply alter the stellar wind. In the case of the two Low Mass X-ray Binaries, I estimate several important parameters of the Systems using the behavior of their accretion discs. The second part is dedicated to the interplay between the accretion disc and the other components of the Systems, namely the corona and the compact jet. Using simultaneous X-ray and radio observations, I show that the corona undergo a strong evolution prior to a discrete ejection of matter, in the case of several binary Systems. In the case of GRS 1915+105, evolution of the corona and detection of a discrete ejection appear within a few seconds, while for other sources it takes a few hours. I study also the link between the accretion disc and the compact jet using a correlation between radio and X-ray flux : depending on the System, the link between the accretion energy brought by the accretion disc and the luminosity of the jet is different, indicating that different physical processes are at work. Finally, the third part is dedicated to numerical simulations of the accretion disc, in the case where an accretion-ejection instability occurs. This two dimensional code predicts the apparition of a density wave within the inner parts of the disc, which can provide a mechanism to explain the quasi-periodic oscillations observed in microquasars. In this part, I describe how the amplitude of the oscillations generated by the instability can be computed, and then confronted to the observations

Повний текст джерелаThe disc instability model of dwarf nova and soft X-ray transient outbursts successfully explains the gross features of the observed lightcurves. In its standard form, it is assumed that the mass transfer rate from the secondary remains constant. It is however possible that mass transfer variations are an important missing ingredient of the model, enabling to fix some of its deficiencies. However, there is yet no physical model describing how such a mass transfer enhancement could take place. This thesis focuses on different mechanisms that could lead to an increase in the mass transfer rate. An efficient way to increase mass transfer is to heat up the L1 region. We first focus on the irradiation of the secondary, which has often been suggested to lead to a substantial mass tranfer enhancement. Despite the formation of a strong flow from hot regions toward the L1 region, which is shaded by the accretion disc, no heat is effectively transported during an outburst. The strong surface flow in the L1 point could however lead to amoderate increase in themass transfer. We then show how the rim of the accretion disc, which is itself heated by tidal dissipation, can heat the L1 point directly. The resulting heating is however not very significant. We show that in soft X-ray transients, the environing medium could back-scattered a significant fraction of the accretion luminosity toward L1, whereas in dwarf novae it is negligible. Finally, we determine how an heating flux affects the secondary atmosphere and what is the resulting mass transfer enhancement. We show that this strongly depends on the nature of the incident radiation. In a different context, we also present results concerning the disc instability model applied to AGNs discs. There exists an unstable region in these discs, but the instability is not efficient in moduling the mass accretion rate onto the supermassive blackhole. We show that including irradiation of the disc does not change this conclusion. In this case, irradiation is far from playing the same role as in soft X-ray transients

Повний текст джерелаThe forthcoming space-based gravitational wave observatory LISA will open a new window for the measurement of gravitational waves, making it possible to observe emitting systems hardly visible with the current Earth-based observatories. Among these sources, the detection of galactic binaries promises an unprecedented wealth of information about these systems, but also raises several challenges in signal processing. In particular the large number of expected sources and the presence of both complex instrumental noise and artifacts tainting the data call for the development of robust methods. Through simple modeling of the sought signals, we show that it is possible to detect them accurately in presence of instrumental noise and to recover the signals. We then explain how this model can be used to efficiently mitigate the impact of missing data on the analysis. Finally, we investigate what a new learning-based model can bring in terms of signal characterization

Повний текст джерелаTout d'abord, grâce aux données gamma récoltées avec SIGMA et INTEGRAL, j'ai pu réaliser un programme d'études sur les systèmes binaires serrées, où un trou noir de masse stellaire accréte de la matière de l'étoile compagnon donnant lieu à de l'émission X/gamma. Le
résultat majeur de ce travail a été la découverte d'une structure spectrale d'émission de haute énergie dans la nova X de la constellation de la Mouche. Je décris aussi plusieurs autres résultats obtenus grâce aux données gamma, couplés à des données X d'autres observatoires, sur 13 sources transitoires (novas X) et 3 sources persistantes à trou noir que j'ai pu étudier dans la gamme entre 1 et 1000 keV.
J'ai aussi développé un vaste programme scientifique concernant l'étude de l'émission de haute énergie du trou noir supermassif du centre de la Galaxie. Grâce au balayage profond effectué avec SIGMA j'ai d'abord établi des limites supérieures contraignantes à l'émission gamma de cet objet. Ce résultat a conduit au développement de nouveaux modèles décrivant les processus d'accrétion dans les trous noirs. Ensuite, j'ai découvert des sursauts X en provenance du trou noir
central avec des données de l'observatoire XMM-Newton et plus récemment une source INTEGRAL qui coïncide avec le centre de la Galaxie. Je discute ces résultats dans le cadre de la physique du centre galactique et des processus d'accrétion et éjection dans les trous noirs.
Je présente enfin mon programme de recherche pour les années à venir, qui voit en première ligne mon implication dans un projet d'astronomie spatiale des hautes énergies, SIMBOL-X. Ce projet prévoie, par le moyen de deux satellites en formation, d'étendre la technique de focalisation par incidence rasante aux rayons X durs afin d'étudier les phénomènes non thermiques de notre univers.
