Повний текст джерелаThe author presents the lack of deliverance ministry in the Evangelical church world as being incongruent with biblical, theological and historical underpinnings and, as such, forms a significant hindrance to its effective mission. To demonstrate the efficacy of deliverance, the author surveyed 46 Christian leaders on 98 possible effects of their personal deliverance experience. The author concluded that deliverance renders significant and broad positive effects in the individual leader and makes numerous recommendations pertaining to the inclusion of deliverance in ongoing church ministry, discipleship strategies and global mission.

Повний текст джерелаThis transcendental phenomenological study sought to understand how the followers of authentic leaders in a multi-national healthcare organization experienced well-being. Twenty followers of 5 authentic leaders participated in the research and shared their lived experiences. Followers reported they experienced workplace well-being by maintaining work-life balance, feeling fulfilled/doing meaningful work, and feeling appreciated/recognized for their contributions. Workplace well-being was experienced as a result of their perceptions of feeling trusted and cared about as a whole being and not just an employee by their leaders. Followers also reported that the organizational culture provided support for leaders to demonstrate behaviors of authentic leadership, caring, trust, appreciation, respect, valuing others, openness, honesty, and transparency, which led them to feel an attachment to their leaders and organizations. Followers were motivated to exhibit organizational citizenship behaviors by providing extra or discretionary effort beyond their expected role requirements. These findings indicate that authentic leaders can provide value by cultivating well-being in the workplace. Findings also suggest recommendations for establishing organizational best practices.

Повний текст джерелаThe purpose of this qualitative study was to explore the perceptions and opinions of school administrators surrounding workplace stress, its causes, and coping strategies selected to combat stress. This study was designed to elicit responses pertaining to why and how individual administrators experienced and coped with stress factors in the work setting. The study's major findings included: (a) Administrators reported that experiences and or issues pertaining to time management cause the most work related stress, (b) School administrators reported emotional strategies as the most utilized technique to combat stress, and (c) The demographic factor with the most influence on stress and the type of coping strategy utilized is years of experience. The major findings produced implications for current administrative practices as well as future research. Current trends related to stress implies a need for additional professional development, and education on how to cope with stress in a healthy manner for administrators to maintain longevity in the school administrator role.

Повний текст джерелаThis quantitative research study was developed in response to challenges small-business owners face with high stress, corporate devastation, and burnout. The research examines burnout and self-care practices among small-business owners to foster psychological well-being. Many studies exist on professional burnout; however, to date, the researcher has not been able to uncover published research related to small business owners’ exhaustion and burn out. Theories in academic literature on self-care, managing transitions, and psychological well-being can be applied to small-business owners experiencing burnout, while leading through corporate life cycles.
This research study utilizes a quantitative, correlational, design approach to examine the levels of burnout in the domains of exhaustion, cynicism, and professional efficacy. Purposive sampling was used for small-business owner selection. The Maslach Burnout Inventory-General Survey (MBI-GS-4 th Edition) was conducted to assess burnout and demographic data was collected from 66 participants. Pearson Correlations determined the relationship between levels of burnout among small-business owners and whether relationships exist between the burnout domains and participant’s demographic characteristics.
Results from this study indicated two significant findings. Correlations indicated higher levels of exhaustion for small-business owners who were younger. Secondly, correlation analysis indicated a significant negative correlation between respondent’s length of time in business and their level of exhaustion. The results of this research study may provide direction to where further research may be needed. Recommendations include the development of long-term workable stratagem for small-business owners to manage corporate life cycles, and enhance professional performance. Findings from this quantitative research can be used to enhance the quality of life, and improve corporate success of small-business owners, in the United States.

Повний текст джерелаO bem-estar social resulta das interações que temos ao longo da vida com outros membros da sociedade, permitindo-nos avaliar o nosso próprio bem-estar (Keyes, 1998). Considerando os contínuos desafios sociais enfrentados por líderes ambientais (Gallagher, 2012), o presente estudo pretendeu explorar o bem-estar social de doze líderes ambientais comunitários. Foram usadas metodologias de análise de conteúdo e frequência/ordenação, para compreender perspectivas em torno das cinco dimensões de bem-estar social. A dimensão mais relevante para os participantes foi a atualização social: associaram bem-estar social a “Capacidade de desenvolver”, “Relações com a comunidade” e “Causando um impacto” (relacionado às dimensões de atualização social, integração social e contribuição social de Keyes) e evocaram novas categorias de “Natural meio ambiente ”e“ direitos humanos ”. A contribuição social associou-se a atributos pessoais e integração social com confiança. O crescimento pessoal foi o aspecto mais relevante da atualização social. Os participantes demonstraram interesse em entender a organização das suas comunidades e citaram o trabalho árduo como o principal atributo para aceitar outros. Por fim, os participantes não associaram a integração social à afiliação coletiva, não se referiram a ações concretas ao falar sobre contribuição social e sua percepção como membros importantes das suas comunidades não foi afetada por terem mais de um ano de envolvimento comunitário. Estas três descobertas estão em contraste com a teoria de Keyes e estudos experimentais sobre bem-estar social. Estes resultados, embora preliminares, informam como estes líderes experimentam bem-estar social e superam os desafios sociais nas comunidades onde desenvolvem soluções ambientais.

In recent years, obtaining license through national tests became a path to profes-sional tour leader. Although in 2003, the Taiwanese government started conducting na-tional tests to issue certificates for professional tour leaders, professional tour leaders still lacks respects from the society. This research discusses how tour leaders recognize their cognition of professionalism. Successful execution of a project exerts confidence that leads to self-efficiency. When one lacks confidence on his/her work, pressure and fatigue develops easily and they lead to unsatisfaction. Thus, whether an employee gains well-being from work de-termines the employee’s efficiency, productivity and turnover rate. How satisfy an em-ployee is deeply affects a firm’s competitiveness and continuous operation. Thus, this research seeks the relation between cognition of professionalism, job self-efficiency and well-being in the professional field. Taipei city is the main investigation of this research, because the research subject is tour leaders who work in Taipei. This research adopts the convenient sampling. Finally, 450 questionnaires were issued in total, and 336 questionnaires were collected. However 308 questionnaires were valid due to 28 answering imcompleted questionnaires. The effective recovery is 68.44%. After the survey of all questionnaires, SPSS12.0 is used for the data analysis. The statistics used involved descriptive statistics, item analysis, reliability analysis, correla-tion analysis, ANOVA and regression analysis. As the result, the relation of the cognition of professionalism is better, the well-being will also get better; the relation of the job self-efficacy is better, the well-being will also get better for tour leaders; the relation of the cognition of profes-sionalism is better, the job self-efficacy will also get better.

Повний текст джерелаAtualmente é de extrema dificuldade separar a vida profissional da vida pessoal, fazendo assim muitas vezes com que os colaboradores de uma organização levem os seus problemas e preocupações do trabalho para casa ou de casa para o trabalho. Neste sentido, é importante que as empresas comecem a zelar pelo bem-estar dos seus colaboradores. É necessário criarem ambientes estáveis para que os seus colaboradores operem com maior eficiência, mostrar confiança nos colaboradores, trata-los com respeito, promover os seus atributos, o seu bem-estar, justiça e comunicação entre todos. No fundo, criar uma empresa positiva para os seus colaboradores. Mas será que existem empresas positivas? Será que existem empresas positivas em São Miguel? É nestas organizações que esta dissertação se concentra. Esta dissertação tem como objetivo aferir o nível de positividade nas empresas micaelenses. Para isto foi utilizado o método de investigação quantitativo, o inquérito por questionário, que foi distribuído por várias empresas do sector empresarial de São Miguel. As respostas foram agrupadas posteriormente em 6 dimensões caraterizadoras das organizações positivas. O resultado mostrou que as empresas inquiridas, numa escala de positividade de 1 a 6 pontos, possuem uma média de 3,96. Este valor indica-nos que apesar de estarem num bom caminho, nas empresas micaelenses ainda existe espaço para melhorias.
ABSTRACT: Nowadays is extremely difficult to separate work life from personal life, often leading employees taking their problems and worries from work to home and from home to work. In this sense, it’s important for organizations to ensure for the employee well being. It’s necessary for organizations to create stables environment’s for their employees to operate with efficiency, show trust in their employees, treat then with respect, promote their quality’s, well being, justice and communication, among others. Bottom deep, it’s to create a positive organization for their employees. But is there any positive organizations? Are there any positive organizations in São Miguel? It is on these organizations that this dissertation is focused. This dissertation has for objective assess the level of positivity on companies from São Miguel. For that it was used the quantitative method, the questionnaire, which was distributed on several organizations of the business sector of São Miguel. The answers were grouped in 6 dimensions witch characterize positive organizations. The result shows that the inquired organizations, in a scale of 1 to 6 points, have a average of 3.96. This value indicates that although organizations are in a good path, on São Miguel companies there’s still room for improvement.
