Maladaptive behavior among teenagers, such as increased sexual behavior, smoking, alcoholism, and drugs abuse in big cities also in other regencies in Indonesia and if there is no real intervention it can conduct a decrease on the quality of the younger generation successor of the nation. This research aim on knowing overview of students risk behaviors uses quantitative descriptive method with proportionate random sampling involving 290 respondents. The measuring instrument used was Adolescent Exploratory Behaviour and Risk Rating Scale (AEERS). This study was used by univariate analysis. Result showed that students risk behavior have a low-risk behaviors (62.1%), it is also split in high health risk behavior (59.7%) and low prosocial risk behavior (80.7%). It conclude, students have a low risk behavior, but also have high health-risk behavior and low risk towards prosocial behaviour.

Do the task for educational institutions or teachers in the classroom environment in which the behavior seen in the form of problematic behavior, this is his behavior, causal attributions, behavior intervention to determine the method chosen in order to this end, teachers in classroom management can be critical to success, and this behavior to deal with, providing the continuity of being and prevent this behaviour to occur again in terms of providing ethical behavior is important. The symptoms of occupational burnout in teachers are seen as psychophysiological, psychological and behavioral. The methods and techniques applied by teachers in coping with problem behavior are usually influenced by opinions about why problem behavior arises. It is a very important stage for teachers to see the cause of problem behavior primarily in themselves and to take responsibility for the source of problem behaviors in terms of coping with problem behaviors. School management should encourage parents to participate in the academic activities of the children because it will lead to achieving academic success and improving social and emotional skills. Schools that encourage parents to participate in academic activities have high performance rates in terms of achieving academic goals. Parental participation in the learning process of their children results in improved attitude, behaviour, and social adjustment. However, children whose parents are overprotective feel difficulty in developing problem-solving and decision-making skills so are unable to face their future challenges independently. But children perceive it positively and become more responsible in achieving their academic goals when parents frequently visit schools and want to get informed about the routine of their children. In brief, parental involvement by school management is very vital to raising propitious individuals of society having great emotional and social skills.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of positive behavioral support on the behaviour of children with at risk for disability. One at risk child with disability belonging to the public kindergarten was selected for the study & a functional assessment was conducted using the method of interview, direct observation, hypothesis setting, & verification to understand the function of the child's distracting behaviors and interference behavior. Based on the results, multiple elements including background & prior event mediation, replacement technical professor intervention, & subsequent outcome arbitration were conducted. In this study, multiple baseline across conditions design was used between situations, & measurements were taken using partial interval recording for 10 minutes each session. Basic lines & intervention were conducted in three situations, including story-sharing activity, free play activity, & lunch-time, focusing on kindergarten classrooms where activities of the children were conducted. In order to investigate the maintenance effect of the behavioral change after one week after the intervention, maintenance observation was performed in the same experimental environment as the baseline, and treatment fidelity and social validity were measured. The results of this study were derived as follows. First, the distracting behaviors of target child were effectively reduced through positive behavior support based on functional evaluation. Second, positive behavioral support based on functional assessment effectively reduced the interfering behavior of the target child. Third, even after ending positive behavioral support interventions, the effects of changes in the attention-based behaviour & interference behavior of the target child were maintained. As above, positive behavioral support has had a positive effect on the reduction of distracting behavior & disruptive behavior for at risk child. This result suggests that positive behavior support is effective in reducing the problem behaviors of young children with disabilities. The study was meaningful in that positive behavior support reduced the incidence of problem behavior in target child proved positive behavior support to be a useful strategy for managing behaviour for young children with disabilities in early childhood special education setting.

Human behavior is striking for it is the same and yet different. Many common behaviors are displayed by humans around the world whatever their race or ethnic heritage. And yet there are also unique parochial behaviors among various peoples. That is behaviors that are bound to a particular culture or ethnic group in their locale or milieu. Of course the interaction of different cultures may lead to common cultural phenomena and behaviour across various human groups - hence for example, TV, blue jeans and hello are just about ubiquitous.Human behavior is largely rooted in one or both of the following: Biological heritage Cultural heritage Universal behavior, that is shared by humans around the world therefore, is based in human biological inheritance passed on through the generations of all mankind. Alternatively, behavior that is different among the various groups of mankind, is developed in our learned behavior from our social and physical surroundings. It should be no surprise therefore, to see that the interaction of diverse parochial behaviors across cultural borders often lead to unintended misunderstanding - even conflict. This misunderstanding may appear as the received meaning of the various exotic behaviors' messages are found offensive, even if they were not meant to be so.In this paper, first of all human behavior that is universal will be looked at. Then a comparative-culture view of learned parochial behavior will be taken of various unique and culturally bound behaviors. However, the overall thrust of the paper is practical. From the insights gained of human behavior, some empathy-based practical communication techniques for effective intercultural communication are listed. With their application, intercultural offence may be minimised, and co-operation and understanding maximised.

Abstract. Evidence from twin, adoption, and family studies suggests that there is strong aggregation of suicidal behaviors in some families. By comparison, the role of social modeling through peers has yet to be convincingly established. This paper uses data from four large studies (the WHO/EURO Multicentre Study on Suicidal Behaviour, the WHO/SUPRE-MISS, the CASE study, and the Queensland Suicide Register) to compare the effects of exposure to fatal and nonfatal suicidal behavior in family members and nonfamilial associates on the subsequent suicidal behavior of male and female respondents of different ages. Across all studies, we found that prior suicidal behaviors among respondents' social groups were more important predictors of suicidal behavior in the respondents themselves than previous research had indicated. Community-based suicide attempters in the WHO SUPRE-MISS had higher rates of exposure to prior suicide in nonfamilial associates than in family members. In an adolescent population, exposure to prior fatal suicidal behavior did not predict deliberate self-harm when exposure to nonfatal suicidal behavior (both familial and social) were controlled for, but exposure to nonfatal suicidal behaviors in family and friends was predictive of deliberate self-harm and suicide ideation, even after controlling for exposure to fatal suicidal behavior. The potential impact of “containment” of information regarding suicidal behaviors as a prevention initiative is discussed, in light of information behavior principles of social marketing.

BACKGROUND: Adolescence is a period that is prone to risky behaviors. The Indonesian National Commission for Child Protection has reported an increasing trend in engagement in risk behaviors among children and adolescents. A total number of 328 drug abuse cases and 153 drug dealing cases were reported from 2011 to 2016, and 93.7%t of adolescents had already been engaged in sexual behaviors. These risk-taking behaviors have led to 967 children who conflict with the law. AIM: This study aimed to identify risky behaviors in adolescents in Tarogong Kidul Subdistrict, Garut District, West Java, Indonesia. METHODS: This study was a cross-sectional study using cluster random sampling on 1175 in-school adolescents. Six schools were involved. The Adolescent Exploratory and Risk Behavior Rating Scale questionnaire collected data. Data were analysed descriptively and inferentially (Chi-square). RESULTS: Most students had a low risk of engaging in risk behaviors, with a small proportion of students (27.3%) having positive perceptions. There was a relationship between perception of risk behavior and risk behavior with (p = 0.026, OR = 95%, CI = 3.050). A relationship was identified between the level of education and risk behaviour (p = 0.000) and between educational level, grade, academic achievement, and perception of risk behavior (p = 0.000). There is no relationship between gender, student residence, student preservation value, and risk behavior (p = 0.804). CONCLUSIONS: Adolescents’ perception of risk behavior and educational level influences their risk behavior, while educational level, grade, and academic achievement are linked to the perception of risk behavior. Gender, student residence, and preservation value do not influence risk behavior. Therefore, it is suggested that this information develops an adolescent prevention model and prevention interventions for adolescents in Garut District.

Multi-behavior recommendation aims to model the interaction information of multiple behaviors to enhance the target behavior’s recommendation performance. Despite progress in recent research, it is challenging to represent users’ preferences using the multi-feature behavior information of user interactions. In this paper, we propose a Multi-Feature Behavior Relationship for Multi-Behavior Recommendation (MFBR) framework, which models the multi-behavior recommendation problem from both sequence structure and graph structure perspectives for user preference prediction of target behaviors. Specifically, the MFBR model is designed with a sequence encoder and a graph encoder to construct behavioral representations of different aspects of the user; the correlations between behaviors are modeled by a behavioral relationship encoding layer, and the importance of different behaviors is finally learned in order to construct the final representation of user preferences. Experimental validation conducted on two real-world recommendation datasets shows that our MFBR consistently outperforms state-of-the-art methods.

There is an increased risk of workplace accidents for younger employees. Academic laboratories have demonstrated a higher prevalence of accidents. Occupational health and safety (OHS) education plays a central role in reducing the risk of accidents and aims to habituate safety behavior in educational settings. The current research aims to investigate the factors affecting students’ safety behaviors using a knowledge-attitude-behavior model within stimulus-organism-response frameworks. A quantitative and non-experimental study involved sending an electronic questionnaire to 959 Indonesian vocational high school students who had undergone half of their learning process in a workshop that put them at risk of accidents. A structural equation model was conducted on the data which showed that all variables in the model were valid and reliable. Teachers’ OHS leadership encourages students’ safety knowledge, attitudes and behaviors. Positive and noteworthy benefits to students' safety knowledge, attitude and behaviour are demonstrated by peer safety behaviours as indicated by similar results. Among the predictors, OHS knowledge had the greatest influence on students’ safety behavior. The current research findings provide evidence that supports the fact that student safety behavior follows the knowledge attitude behaviour model within the stimulus organism response framework.

Green purchase behavior is the purchase of environmentally friendly products. These purchase decisions are a result of many factors which researchers have tried to study in the past. The objective of this study is to understand the green buying behaviour in Pakistan and examine the factors that affect this green buying behaviour. Some cognitive measures such as perceived consumer effectiveness, perceived environmental knowledge and green perceived value that play an important part in shaping attitudes are being studied. These attitudes then lead to behaviors according to the belief-attitude-behavior model on which this study is based. To discover how these beliefs and attitude affect green purchase behavior, a questionnaire is designed. Theory of Planned Behavior has been used in this study to understand and investigate the relation of different variables with green purchasing behaviour. The research findings indicated that an increase in knowledge of consumers regarding environmental issues resulted in them engaging in pro- environmental behavior. The findings were similar for effectiveness and perceived value measures although it was established that people gave more importance to quality and did not strongly feel that their individual actions played a major role in changing environmental conditions.

Previous studies have identified that environmental awareness correlates with the choice of bicycle travel. However, few studies have considered the relationships with different types of healthy behaviors and environmental behaviors. This study examined the relationships between several healthy and environmental behaviors and the choice of bicycle commute using survey data. A total of 803 residents participated in this questionnaire survey. Using factor analysis, we constructed latent factors of healthy behaviors and environmental behaviors. Using a binary logistic regression model, we examined the relationship between latent factors and cycling usage, controlling for demographic characteristics. Factor analysis revealed three latent factors of healthy behaviors: “healthy diet”, “avoiding tobacco or overdrinking”, and “physical activity”. The latent factors of environmental behaviors were as follows: “household behavior” and “purchasing behavior”. The results showed that “avoiding tobacco or overdrinking”, “physical activity” and “purchasing behavior” correlated positively with bicycle commuting. Differences were also observed in relation to demographic characteristics.

Leadership behavior has an impact on the behavior of employees. Previous studies have mainly studied the impact of positive leadership behaviors on employees’ behaviors, but there is an absence of research on the impact of negative leadership behaviours (abusive supervision) on safety behaviours (including safety participation and safety compliance). In this study, 599 front-line employees in the petrochemical industry were selected as subjects. Abusive supervision, safety behaviour, safety motivation and a conscientiousness questionnaire were used as measurements to explore the relationship between abusive supervision and employee safety behaviors, and to further explore the roles of safety motivation, conscientiousness and the relationship between them. This study found that abusive supervision is negatively related to employee safety behaviours (safety compliance and safety participation); that safety motivation plays a mediating role in the relationship between abusive supervision and employees’ safety behavior; and that conscientiousness moderates the role of safety motivation between the relationship of abusive supervision and employees’ safety behaviour. With a higher level of conscientiousness, the indirect relationship between abusive supervision and employee safety behaviours is weaker. Finally, we discuss the theoretical and practical significance of these findings for abusive supervision and the management of safety behaviours.

This study proposes the concepts of “behavior simple” and “behavior composed.” Behavior simple means primitive behavior, and behavior composed is a combination of behaviors simple. An artificial creature first learns some behaviors simple. Then, it learns behavior composed as a combination of behaviors simple, responding to the change of environment. This concept is applied to an Artificial Flying Creature (AFC). The AFC learns two types of flight independently: flapping and gliding. After that, it learns a sophisticated behavior by alternatively selecting these behaviors. Simulation results prove that adequate flight occurs by alternatively using flapping and gliding.

The research was conducted based on the theoretical orientation of social behavior mapping a new approach to adaptive behavior education for children with intellectual disabilities. It clearly identifies the expected and unexpected behaviors, which are listed social behavior mapping detail in combination with the various social behavior mapping in an implementation process that can help children identify and adjust their own behaviors, increase expected behaviors, and gradually reduce unexpected behaviors. Practical studies on accessing social behavior mapping have proven the effectiveness of this method in the education of children with disabilities in general and children with disabilities in particular. Social behavior mapping is a new and feasible approach if applied in adaptive behavior to educate children with intellectual disabilities in Vietnam.

Screen-based sedentary behaviors (SSB) has become a particularly concerning subset of sedentary behavior. With the rapid advancement of technology, screens have become an integral part of our daily lives. However, the potential health impacts that accompany this trend demand our attention. Increasing evidence suggests that screen-based sedentary behavior, as opposed to traditional sedentary activities like reading, has more severe implications for health. Prolonged SSB in children and adolescents is associated with poorer physical fitness and cardiovascular health, and it poses a higher risk of obesity compared to traditional sedentary behavior. The World Health Organizations sedentary behavior guidelines emphasize the importance of limiting SSB in children and adolescents (aged 5-17) and encouraging adults (aged 18-64) to reduce their screen-based sedentary time. Therefore, this review provides an overview of the health hazards (obesity, type 2 diabetes, mental health and sleep) associated with screen-based sedentary behaviour and its potential mechanisms of action. In addition, interventions to reduce SSB and their benefits are discussed and future research directions are suggested.

Academic disciplines are often organized according to the behaviors they examine. While most research on a behavior tends to exist within one discipline, some behaviors are examined by multiple disciplines. Better understanding of behaviors and their relationships should enable knowledge transfer across disciplines and theories, thereby dramatically improving the behavioral knowledge base. We propose a taxonomy built on the World Health Organization’s International Classification of Functioning, Disability, and Health (ICF), but design the taxonomy as a stand-alone extension rather than an improvement to ICF. Behaviors considered important enough to serve as the dependent variable in articles accepted for publication in top journals were extracted from nine different behavioral and social disciplines. A six-step development and validation process was employed, leading to the final taxonomy. A hierarchy of behaviors under the top banner of Engaging in activities/participating, reflective of ICF’s D. hierarchy was constructed with eight immediate domains addressing behaviors ranging from learning, exercising, self-care, and substance use. The resulting International Classification of Behaviors (IC-Behavior), provides a behavior taxonomy targeted towards the interdisciplinary integration of nomological networks relevant to behavioral theories. While IC-Behavior has been labeled v.1.0 to communicate that it is by no means an endpoint, it has empirically shown to provide flexibility for the addition of new behaviors and is tested in the health domain.

This study was aimed at modelling of climate change adaptive behaviour from basic model theory Responsible Environmental Behaviour (REB) by Hines, and to know the effect of knowledge about climate change (CC), personality, behavior intention toward CC adaptive behavior. A survey method was used by involving 481 Cadets at The School of Meteorology Climatology and Geophysics (STMKG) as sample in this study. There were 4 instruments in this research for measuring knowledge about CC (24 items, reliability .923), personality (25 items, reliability .933), behavior intention (34 items, reliability .976) and CC adaptive behavior of cadets (24 items, reliability .964). Data was analyzed by descriptive statistical, path modelling analysis and inferential statistics. The results revealed that path model at CC adaptive behavior have the significant suitability model. CC adaptive behavior significantly direct and indirect affected knowledge about CC, personality, and behaviour intention, but unaffected indirectly by knowledge about CC. Based on those findings, it can be concluded that variations in CC adaptive behavior of STMKG cadets are affected by variations in knowledge about CC, personality, and behaviour intention. It means that Path model can used to predict CC adaptive behavior based on knowledge about CC, personality, and behavior intention.

One of the illogical behaviors that affects purchase decisions is consumptive behavior, whitch puts wabts ahead of needs. The use of electronic money, one’s degree of financial ‘s financial literacy, and one’s financial attitudes are some of the variables that influence this behavior. Consumptive behaviour can be decreased by a person’s capacity to manage their usage of electronic money, financial literacy, financial attitude on consumer behavior is the aim of this research. This study analyzes data without making any assumptions using a quantitative descriptive methodology. With 92 individuals in the sample, consistted of students from Pelita Bangsa University college of business and economics. The data sources used are primary and secondary data, whereby the primary data was collected using questionnaires. The results show that e-money and financial literacy have no significant impact on consumptive behaviour, while financial attitudes show a negative influence. The findings contribute to understanding the determinants of consumptive behaviour, especially among students

Observations used focal animal sampling and ad libitum methods. Observation of the daily behavior was carried out in Group A, which consisted of 9 individuals. The frequency of M. fascicularis daily behaviors were moving, resting, eating, playing, grooming, aggresive, and sexual behaviour, respectively. Immature M. fascicularis are more likely to perform the moving, resting, and playing behavior. Whereas mature M. fascicularis are more likely to perform the moving, resting, and eating behavior. Gender does not affect the daily behavior of immature M. fascicularis, it affects the individual mature M. fascicularis, especially feeding, moving and grooming behavior. Intraspesific hetrosexual behaviour occured only between alfa, mature female(Ma) and alpha, mature male (Mon). Interspesific heterosexual grooming and mounting behaviors occured between M. fascicularis alpha, male individual and mature female M. nemestrina. Intraspecific mounting isosexual behavior occured on mature and immature of M. fascicularis from different group. The daily behavior that is influence by human activities is eating behaviour.

Background: Adolescents are vulnerable to risky behaviors such as smoking, alcohol consumption, and risky sexual behavior. The involvement of one risky behavior can lead to other risky behaviors. Therefore, it is necessary to prevent risky behavior to ensure adolescents' health. This study aimed to prevent risky behaviors according to adolescents' needs.Method: This was an observational research with the cross-sectional method. Data were obtained using a questionnaire through interviews with respondents. The research subjects were adolescents aged 15-24 years. Samples were randomly selected, as much as 100 adolescents. Results: There were 2 categories of adolescents, they were "delinquent adolescents" and "ordinary adolescents". The needs of SRH education of two groups were more in contents of SRH, methods, media, time, providers, and venue of SRH information delivery. The majority of respondents mostly preferred to select the subject related to he impact of risky behaviour. Discussion method and mixed media, they like to choose for delivering information at night time. Most of them prefer health workers to be as health educator beside their peers. There was no significant difference in the SRH need between two groups. However, the implementation of risky behavior prevention should be differentiated.

<p>Dugongs is a protected herbivorous marine mammals (Suwelo et al., 1992) and included in vulnerable category of IUCN(International Union for the Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources) and Appendix I CITES (Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species) (IUCN 2012). Dugong population continues to decline due to the human threat (Suwelo et al., 1992). Another factor is because Dugong has a low reproductive rate (Hindell &amp; Kirkword 2003). Ex-situ conservation of dugong is become important and has conducted by Sea World Indonesia, Taman Impian Jaya Ancol, Jakarta. Research on dugong feeding behaviour can help the ex-situ conservation of dugong. This because feeding behaviour is a main daily behaviour of dugong in the sea (Chilvers et al., 2003). The aim of this research was to describe feeding behaviour of two dugong in Sea World Indonesia. Observations were made in SWI Dugong aquarium with a diameter of 10 meters and two different depth (2 meters and 5 meters). Observations were made during two weeks on December 2012. Behavioral observation time was divided into morning (9:15 to 09:35), (11:30 to 11:50) and <br />(14:30 to 14:50) observations. The feeding behavior observed was hand-fed, surface-fed and bottom-fed. Daily observations of dugong feeding behavior were done using focal animal sampling and ad libitum sampling. The data obtained was displayed in the form of tables and graphs. The data was analyzed using descriptive analysis reinforced with statistical tests. The statistical tests used were the t-test and ANOVA test. Hand-fed behavior of male dugong (31,30%) was higher than female (29,67%). Results from t-test showed that the hand-fed behaviors of both dugongs were not significantly different. Meanwhile, the other t-test result for surface-fed behavior and bottom-fed behavior of both dugongs was significantly different. Surface-fed behavior of male dugong (65.83%) was higher than female (32.08%). Bottom-fed behavior of male dugong (6.23%) was lower than females (36.63%). Hand-fed behaviour and feed on surface are the adaptation of feeding behavior in captivity. Feed on bottom behaviour is the behavior that similar to dugong feeding in the wild, which is grazing. Based on the observation, it is known that both dugong, male dugong especially, have a good adaptation on hand-fed seagrass behaviour and feed on surface, while the female dugong maintain its natural feeding behavior.</p><p><br /><strong>Keywords</strong>: Dugong dugon, Sea World Indonesia, feeding behaviour, captive</p>

The article appeals to the problem of designing motivation model for the labor behavior of company stuff. Human behavior is one of the key areas of research in many fields of knowledge. The main forms of human behavior in economics are consumer and labor behavior. For each of them, extensive theoretical and practical material has been developed, a significant variety of behaviors has been proposed. Moreover, in the absence of general models of human behavior that would be applicable in any field of his activity, each science develops its own methodological apparatus and builds models based on its own approaches. Models of consumer behavior describe a clearly defined object (purchasing act), are specific and practically oriented. Patterns of labour behaviour are more general and relate to conduct in general, but not to a specific act of activity. The article attempts to apply the principles of building models of consumer behavior to modeling labor behavior. The model of type “Definition of target actions — Stimulus selection — Information and desire — Choice and location — Check and preference — Confirmation and relation” is proposed. The content of these stages for the task of changing labor behavior is shown. A methodological feature of the model is the isolation of rational and emotional aspects in some elements of labor behavior.

The generation gap has been present since the beginning of humanity and has symbolized one of the challenges of decision-making in families. It affects family members’ consumption behavior, namely buying decisions, and creates an interrelated impact on consumption behavior among family members. The aim of this study is to examine factors related to the parents’ perceptions of how the new online purchase behavior of their Generation Z children affected their consumption behavior. To meet the research objective, the paper has shed light on Generation Z’s new online purchase behavior. A survey was sent to 384 Indonesian parents of Generation Z children to collect their perceptions of consumption behavior. The data were then computed and processed using factor analysis, reliability analysis, regression analysis, as well as correlation and a t-test. The research results indicate that the new online purchase behavior of Generation Z children significantly affected their parents’ consumption behavior through different factors, such as online purchase illiteracy and self-control of consumption behavior. The findings also asserted that family consumption behavior is easily influenced by factors associated with parents’ perceptions. Moreover, this study also discussed the implications of the findings and identified the areas for future research.

We describe an AI behavior architecture that supports responsive collaborative interruptible and resumable behaviors using behavior queues. This architecture wraps sets of behaviors into roles, which provide a simple efficient mechanism for encapsulating behaviors into components that can change dynamically, based on environmental criteria. To illustrate the viability of this architecture in a commercial setting, we implemented this architecture in BioWare Corp.’s Neverwinter Nights game. To demonstrate the usability of this architecture by game designers, we implemented a simple interface in ScriptEase, so that the architecture can be utilized with no coding skills.

In this study, we (a) describe patterns of challenging student behaviors (classwide and for a target student with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder [ADHD]) and teacher behaviors (i.e., praise, commands, and responses to challenging behavior) in kindergarten through Grade 5 classrooms, (b) examine the relations between these behaviors, and (c) describe a threshold of teacher behaviors most associated with low levels of challenging student behavior. Participants were 55 teachers observed using a modified version of the Student Behavior Teacher Response (SBTR) system. Across grades, there was variability in rates of classwide challenging behavior per hour ( M = 35.81 to 102.62) and rates of praise per hour ( M = 10.90 to 37.70). The percentage of challenging behaviors to which teachers responded appropriately was generally low ( M = 27% to 47%) and stable across grades. For classwide challenging behavior, higher percentages of appropriate teacher response were significantly associated with lower rates of challenging behavior ( b = −.43; p < .01), but effective commands and labeled praise were not. Classwide challenging behaviors dropped to 30 per hour once teachers reach a threshold of 51% appropriate response, with little incremental benefit at higher levels. Implications for professional development and future study of behavior management practices are discussed.

Objectives: To describe the salt reduction behavior of hypertensive older patients in dietary and examine it related factors. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted among 164 elderly patients with hypertensive. Salt reduction behaviour were measured by using a Dietary Sodium Reduction Self‐care Behaviour Scale (DSR-SCB Scale). Salt reduction knowledge was measured by using the Knowledge of Dietary Sodium Reduction Scale (KDSR Scale). Student T-Test, ANOVA, and Pearson’s product-moment correlations were used to analyze the data. Results: In total, 164 elderly patients with hypertensive were included. The mean age was 74.68 ± 8.22 years and female was accounted for 55%. The overall score of salt reduction knowledge and salt reduction behavior in the diet were 37.40 ± 4.20 and 27.32 ± 4.92, respectively. In which, the opinion “I prefer to eat home cooked food over food sold from street vendors” had the highest mean score (3.52 ± 0.58). The opinion “Every time I find my food salty, I am willing not to eat it” had the lowest mean score (2.65 ± 0.86). There was a statistically significant difference in salt reduction behavior between gender (p<0.01) and cooking skills (p<0.01). Salt reduction knowledge had significant correlation with salt reduction behavior (r=0.508, p<0.01). Conclusions: Salt reduction behavior basically related to gender and cooking skills. Due to lack of knowledge, patients had a low score in salt reduction behavior. Therefore, health‐care providers can focus their educational activities on these individuals to enhance their behaviors. Key words: Salt reduction, Behavior, Hypertension, Older patients .

Research investigating the neural substrates underpinning parental behaviour has recently gained momentum. Particularly, the hypothalamic medial preoptic area (MPOA) has been identified as a crucial region for parenting. The current study conducted a scientometric analysis of publications from 1 January 1972 to 19 January 2021 using CiteSpace software to determine trends in the scientific literature exploring the relationship between MPOA and parental behaviour. In total, 677 scientific papers were analysed, producing a network of 1509 nodes and 5498 links. Four major clusters were identified: “C-Fos Expression”, “Lactating Rat”, “Medial Preoptic Area Interaction” and “Parental Behavior”. Their content suggests an initial trend in which the properties of the MPOA in response to parental behavior were studied, followed by a growing attention towards the presence of a brain network, including the reward circuits, regulating such behavior. Furthermore, while attention was initially directed uniquely to maternal behavior, it has recently been extended to the understanding of paternal behaviors as well. Finally, although the majority of the studies were conducted on rodents, recent publications broaden the implications of previous documents to human parental behavior, giving insight into the mechanisms underlying postpartum depression. Potential directions in future works were also discussed.

This paper aims to explore three predictors of Theory Planned Behaviour (attitude, subjective norm and Perceived Behaviors Control) towards the knowledge sharing behavior. Knowledge sharing behavior has become a major issue and is commonly highlighted in the study of knowledge management. Researchers have given serious attention to identify the determinants of knowledge sharing behavior. Employees have to be motivated to share their knowledge and experience in the workplace. In order to influence knowledge sharing behavior among employees, organizations need to understand the tools that drive employees to share their knowledge willingly with others. This paper discusses three predictors of Theory Planned Behavior which have significantly influenced knowledge sharing behavior. A questionnaire survey was administered to the selected group of employees from tourism and hospitality industries in Cyberjaya Malaysia. The 207 employees were participating in this research study. The instrument was adapted from previous study. The result reveals that an absence of attitude is not significantly related to knowledge sharing behavior. However, subjective norms and perceived behavior control relate significantly. This study implies that changes of attitude in individual promote and encourage knowledge sharing behavior positively. The findings of this study proposed to the organization to influence employee to embed the knowledge sharing culture to the employee. The organization needs to change the attitude of employee in term of willingness of them to share knowledge with co-workers. The possibilities of this circumstance happen because of lack awareness of knowledge sharing benefits, lack of rewards and recognition to their contribution and competition among themselves which need to do further study.

Several precedents support an association between single nucleotide genetic polymorphisms (SNPs), the obese phenotype, and eating behavior in the infant-juvenile population. This study aims to study this aspect in depth, analyzing the eating behavior of a sample of schoolchildren from Madrid in regard to their genetic predisposition to obesity. A total of 258 schoolchildren, aged 6 to 16 years, were evaluated through the Children’s Eating Behaviour Questionnaire (CEBQ) and the genotyping of 32 SNPs. Associations were observed between the total genetic risk score and eating behaviors related to emotional eating and food responsiveness. Individually, different SNPs were associated with eating behaviors, primarily those related to pro-eating behaviors or increased risk of developing obesity. However, diverse results are obtained, depending on the SNP. These results highlighted the strongest associations between the rs1801725 SNP risk allele (CASR) and increased enjoyment of food by 1846-fold. Likewise, the satiety response was associated with SNP rs11676272 (ADCY3) 2.39 and SNP rs7566605 (INSIG2), increasing this response by 2.39 and 1.63 times, respectively. Emotional anti-ingesting behaviors were inversely associated with SNP rs1421085 (FTO) and SNP rs987237 (TFAP2B). In contrast, SNP rs55915917 (CRHR1) increased the risk of these behaviors. SNPs rs4788099 (SH2B1), rs6857 (NECTIN2), and rs180172 (ADCY3) were associated with slow feeding. In conclusion, associations were found between most of the analyzed SNPs and the CEBQ items. This suggests that feeding behavior exists as a mediator between genotype and obesity phenotype, beginning in childhood.

The SPEC CPU Benchmarks are used extensively for evaluating and comparing improvements to computer systems. This ubiquity makes characterization critical for researchers to understand the bottlenecks the benchmarks do and do not expose and where new designs should and should not be expected to show impact. However, in characterization there is a tradeoff between accuracy and reusability: The more precisely we characterize a benchmark’s performance on a given system, the less usable it is across different micro-architectures and varying memory configurations. For SPEC, most existing characterizations include system-specific effects (e.g., via performance counters) and/or only look at aggregate behavior (e.g., averages over the full application execution). While such approaches simplify characterization, they make it difficult to separate the applications’ intrinsic behavior from the system-specific effects and/or lose the diverse phase-based behaviors. In this work we focus on characterizing the applications’ intrinsic memory behaviour by isolating them from micro-architectural configuration specifics. We do this by providing a simplified generic system model that evaluates the applications’ memory behavior across multiple cache sizes, with and without prefetching, and over time. The resulting characterization can be reused across a range of systems to understand application behavior and allow us to see how frequently different behaviors occur. We use this approach to compare the SPEC 2006 and 2017 suites, providing insight into their memory system behaviour beyond previous system-specific and/or aggregate results. We demonstrate the ability to use this characterization in different contexts by showing a portion of the SPEC 2017 benchmark suite that could benefit from giga-scale caches, despite aggregate results indicating otherwise.

Online consumer purchasing behaviour is refers to the decision-making process and behaviors of people interested in the buy and use of products. Online purchasing behaviour online is an analysis of how consumers purchase, what they purchase, and why they purchase things online. Online consumer purchasing behavior can be influenced by many factors. Characteristics of endorser is one of those factors. Characteristics of endorser are attributes that usually called as TEARS model which represent the five attributes associated with the general attributes of endorser towards the target market. Every consumen can have different perspective towards online purchasing behavior. Hence, this study is conducted to examine the influence of characteristics of endorser towards online consumer purchasing behavior. Dimensions of characteristics of endorser that are used in this study are trustworthiness, expertise, attractiveness, respect, and similarity. A total of 201 respondents that fulfil the criteria as an Instagram user and an active student in Faculty of Communication, Sumbawa University of Technology have participated in this study. Multiple Regression Analysis was performed to test the research hypothesis. Results of this finding revealed that trustworthiness and similarity have a significant positive influence on online consumer purchasing behavior. While for expertise, attractiveness, and respect doesn’t have a significant positive influence on online consumer purchasing behavior. Aims:Since adulthood antisocial, aggressive and delinquent behaviors often have their onset early in life, investigating the association between biological factors and disruptive behaviors in children and adolescents are important and are emphasized on in the recent years. Baseline cortisol level seems to be a valuable biological marker of individuals with Disruptive Behavior Disorder (DBD). This study examined the effect of parent training on salivary cortisol levels of children with DBD.Methods:Saliva samples were assayed to determine cortisol levels in nineteen clinic-referred children with DBD (aged 8 through 13 years) before and after an eight-session parent training program. Children's disruptive behaviors were assessed by Child Behavior Check List before and after the intervention. Results:Children's salivary cortisol increased significantly after parent training sessions. Children with DBD who had lower basal cortisol levels had more severe disruptive behaviors and a better response to intervention by parent training as assessed by changes in cortisol levels and disruptive behaviour scores. However, post-interventional reduction of disruptive behaviors and increase in cortisol level was significant for all levels of baseline cortisol. Conclusions:Parent training is an effective method for behavioral modification in DBD. Salivary cortisol may be considered a predictive factor for severity of the child or adolescent's disruptive behaviors and also for response of those behaviors to parent training.

Abstract: Truancy behavior that are common are maladaptive behaviors that are often experienced by students at school. Behavior occurs due to the inability of students to adapt to environmental demands. The behavior contract technique which aims to change individual behavior can be a solution to this maladaptive action. This technique is done with good awareness and commitment between the counselor and the client. The basic principles in the behavior contract technique include: (1) contracts are carried out with reinforcement, (2) strengthening must be carried out immediately, (3) contracts are negotiated freely and openly and are mutually agreed upon, (4) contracts are fair and clear, (5) contracts have clear target behavior behavior, frequency and duration of contracts, (6) contracts integrated with school programs. The use of individual counseling services with the behavior contract technique can be applied by counselors so that clients have awareness and eliminate truancy in high school.

BACKGROUND Parental behaviors are key in shaping children’s psychological and behavioral development, crucial for early identification and prevention of mental health issues, reducing psychological trauma in childhood. AIM To investigate the relationship between parenting behaviors and behavioral and emotional issues in preschool children. METHODS From October 2017 to May 2018, 7 kindergartens in Ma’anshan City were selected to conduct a parent self-filled questionnaire - Health Development Survey of Preschool Children. Children’s Strength and Difficulties Questionnaire (Parent Version) was applied to measures the children’s behavioral and emotional performance. Parenting behavior was evaluated using the Parental Behavior Inventory. Binomial logistic regression model was used to analyze the association between the detection rate of preschool children’s behavior and emotional problems and their parenting behaviors. RESULTS High level of parental support/participation was negatively correlated with conduct problems, abnormal hyperactivity, abnormal total difficulty scores and abnormal prosocial behavior problems. High level of maternal support/participation was negatively correlated with abnormal emotional symptoms and abnormal peer interaction in children. High level of parental hostility/coercion was positively correlated with abnormal emotional symptoms, abnormal conduct problems, abnormal hyperactivity, abnormal peer interaction, and abnormal total difficulty scores in children (all P < 0.05). Moreover, paternal parenting behaviors had similarly effects on behavior and emotional problems of preschool children compared with maternal parenting behaviors (all P > 0.05), after calculating ratio of odds ratio values. CONCLUSION Our study found that parenting behaviors are associated with behavioral and emotional issues in preschool children. Overall, the more supportive or involved the parents are, the fewer behavioral and emotional problems the children experience; conversely, the more hostile or controlling the parents are, the more behavioral and emotional problems the children face. Moreover, the impact of fathers’ parenting behaviors on preschool children’s behavior and emotions is no less significant than that of mothers’ parenting behaviors.

This paper reports on results from research conducted on health behaviors undertaken of men. Health behavior is one of the determinants of our health. The way in which people care for their health affects not only their health, but also their well-being, quality of life, and work ability. The lifestyle and health behavior have a significant impact on health, whereas a lack of pro-health behavior may cause the risk of many diseases and mortality, especially among men. The aim of the study was to define the determinants of positive health behaviors among men aged 20–65, active on the labor market. To check the attitudes of men toward health and health behavior, a questionnaire-based research has been carried out among 600 men active on the labor market. Several tools were used: Positive Health Behaviour Scale (Woynarowska-Sołdan & Węziak-Białowolska, 2012), Work Ability Index (Tuomi et al., 1998), work–life balance—with the Copenhagen Psychosocial Questionnaire (subscale “Work-home conflict”) (Kristensen & Borg, 2005), Multidimensional Health Locus of Control (Wallston & Wallston, 1978, in polish adaptation Juczyński, 2001), Inventory for Psychological Sex Assessment (Kuczyńska, 2012) and Personal Values (Juczyński, 2001), and questionnaire “Work conditions” (developed in CIOPPIB). These studies have shown which factors determine their health behavior. The positive health behaviors of men were associated with good economic status, high self-assessment of care for health, positive opinions about life and work, and masculinity. They were also white-collar workers with good work ability.

Background: Oral health knowledge, attitudes and behaviors possessed by dental students become provisions in the education and promotion of oral health in the community. Purpose: This study aims to analyze the oral health knowledge, attitudes and behavior of Indonesian dental students in East Java province based on gender and educational stage. Methods: This research is a cross-sectional study using an online questionnaire distributed to dental students at five dental faculties in East Java. 169 respondents in this study completed an online HU-DBI questionnaire with a choice of answers to agree or disagree about the description of oral health knowledge, attitudes, and behavior. Results: Female students have a higher level of knowledge and oral health behavior than the opposite sex with a significance value of <0.001 and 0.05, respectively. There was a significant correlation between knowledge and attitude with a significance level of 0.030 and a correlation between knowledge and behavior with a significant number of 0.037. Conclusion: Female dental students had better oral health knowledge and behavior than male dental students. There is no relationship between the education stage and oral health knowledge, attitudes and behaviour. Further, we found positif association between oral health knowledge and attitudes towards behaviour.

Online shopping is a form of electronic commerce which allows consumers to directly purchase products or services from seller over the internet using web browser. The main objective of this study is to investigate the factors affecting online shopping behaviors of students in Kathmandu. The research adopted the descriptive research design. The method of convenience sampling method was used while selecting the samples. There was total 50 students were selected for this study from different college of Kathmandu. Statistical software was used to analyze the data. The study found that ‘security’ was perceived to be highest and most influential factor of online shopping behavior whereas ‘price’ was perceived as second most important influential factor, and ‘convenience’ was perceived to be least important factor influencing the online shopping behavior of the students in Kathmandu. The future researcher can study the shopping behaviour of general public having with a larger sample size.

A robot functioning in an environment may exhibit various forms of behavior emerge from the interaction with its environment through sense, control and plan activities. Hence, this paper introduces a behaviour selection based navigation and obstacle avoidance algorithm with effective method for adapting robotic behavior according to the environment conditions and the navigated terrain. The developed algorithm enable the robot to select the suitable behavior in real-time to avoid obstacles based on sensory information through visual and ultrasonic sensors utilizing the robot's ability to step over obstacles, and move between surfaces of different heights. In addition, it allows the robot to react in appropriate manner to the changing conditions either by fine-tuning of behaviors or by selecting different set of behaviors to increase the efficiency of the robot over time. The presented approach has been demonstrated on quadruped robot in several different experimental environments and the paper provides an analysis of its performance.

This article proposes the concept of basis behaviors as ubiquitous general building blocks for synthesizing artificial group behavior in multiagent systems and for analyzing group behavior in nature. We demonstrate the concept through examples implemented both in simulation and on a group of physical mobile robots. The basis behavior set we propose, consisting of avoidance, safe-wandering, following, aggregation, dispersion, and homing, is constructed from behaviors commonly observed in a variety of species in nature. The proposed behaviors are manifested spatially but have an effect on more abstract modes of interaction, including the exchange of information and cooperation. We demonstrate how basis behaviors can be combined into higher-level group behaviors commonly observed across species. The combination mechanisms we propose are useful for synthesizing a variety of new group behaviors, as well as for analyzing naturally occurring ones.
