Recently, the method of spatiotemporal spectral unmixing (STSU ) was developed to fully explore multi-scale temporal information (e.g., MODIS –Landsat image pairs) for spectral unmixing of coarse time series (e.g., MODIS data). To further enhance the application for timely monitoring, the real-time STSU( RSTSU) method was developed for real-time data. In RSTSU, we usually choose a spatially complete MODIS–Landsat image pair as auxiliary data. Due to cloud contamination, the temporal distance between the required effective auxiliary data and the real-time data to be unmixed can be large, causing great land cover changes and uncertainty in the extracted unchanged pixels (i.e., training samples). In this article, to extract more reliable training samples, we propose choosing the auxiliary MODIS–Landsat data temporally closest to the prediction time. To deal with the cloud contamination in the auxiliary data, we propose an augmented sample-based RSTSU( ARSTSU) method. ARSTSU selects and augments the training samples extracted from the valid (i.e., non-cloud) area to synthesize more training samples, and then trains an effective learning model to predict the proportions. ARSTSU was validated using two MODIS data sets in the experiments. ARSTSU expands the applicability of RSTSU by solving the problem of cloud contamination in temporal neighbors in actual situations.

Time-dependent auxiliary density perturbation theory (TDADPT) is extended to the calculation of excited states. The resulting time-dependent auxiliary density functional theory (TDADFT) is structurally identical to the original formulation of Casida. However, significant simplifications occur for the Coulomb and exchange–correlation response due to the underlying auxiliary density functional theory. Here, we present the working equations for TDADFT and a new implementation. Because this new parallel TDADFT implementation is particularly well suited for the calculation of large numbers of excitations, we validate it by the calculation of photoabsorption spectra. Direct comparison with experiment underlines the accuracy and reliability of TDADFT. For selected peaks of the studied polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon spectra, the assignments of the underlying excitations are also presented.

This paper deals with the global uniform exponential stability independent of delay of time-delay linear and time-invariant systems subject to point and distributed delays for the initial conditions being continuous real functions except possibly on a set of zero measure of bounded discontinuities. It is assumed that the delay-free system as well as an auxiliary one are globally uniformly exponentially stable and globally uniform exponential stability independent of delay, respectively. The auxiliary system is, typically, part of the overall dynamics of the delayed system but not necessarily the isolated undelayed dynamics as usually assumed in the literature. Since there is a great freedom in setting such an auxiliary system, the obtained stability conditions are very useful in a wide class of practical applications.

Auxiliary and focal assessment models: a proof-of-concept involving time-varying catchability and fishery stock-status evaluation. – ICES Journal of Marine Science, 68: 2264–2276. Many assessment models evaluate stock status, and biases can arise when time-varying processes are modelled as being time-invariant. An “auxiliary/focal” assessment process is presented, where an “auxiliary” assessment model estimates functional parameters that are used in a “focal” assessment of stock status. This process is evaluated in two steps. First, estimates of density-dependent catchability from single- or multispecies auxiliary models are compared, confirming that multispecies auxiliary models are more accurate when catch-at-age data are abundant. Possible output from the multispecies auxiliary assessment is then used in a focal model, and the results are compared with four other methods: (i) assuming that catchability is constant, (ii) ignoring fishery-dependent indices, (iii) a random-walk catchability model, and (iv) estimating density-dependent catchability without prior information. Results show that the constant catchability model leads to non-conservative biases in stock-status estimates, and a random-walk model decreases bias and has high precision when age data are available. The auxiliary/focal procedure performs best when fishery indices are used without age data, and the density-dependent model without prior information performs well with fishery and survey indices, but without age data. Different methods are optimal, therefore, depending on data availability, and the auxiliary/focal assessment process performs best of the available methods when using just fishery-dependent indices.

Accurate time-to-event (TTE) prediction of clinical outcomes from personal biomedical data is essential for precision medicine. It has become increasingly common that clinical datasets contain information for multiple related patient outcomes from comorbid diseases or multifaceted endpoints of a single disease. Various TTE models have been developed to handle competing risks that are related to mutually exclusive events. However, clinical outcomes are often non-competing and can occur at the same time or sequentially. Here we develop TTE prediction models with the capacity of incorporating compatible related clinical outcomes. We test our method on real and synthetic data and find that the incorporation of related auxiliary clinical outcomes can: 1) significantly improve the TTE prediction performance of conventional Cox model while maintaining its interpretability; 2) further improve the performance of the state-of-the-art deep learning based models. While the auxiliary outcomes are utilized for model training, the model deployment is not limited by the availability of the auxiliary outcome data because the auxiliary outcome information is not required for the prediction of the primary outcome once the model is trained.

An active clamp boost converter with blanking time auto-tuned is presented herein, and this is implemented by an additional auxiliary switch, an additional resonant inductor, and an additional active clamp capacitor as compared with the conventional boost converter. In this structure, both the main and auxiliary switches have zero voltage switching (ZVS) turn-on as well as the output diode has zero current switching (ZCS) turn-off, causing the overall efficiency of the converter to be upgraded. Moreover, as the active clamp circuit is adopted, the voltage spike on the main switch can be suppressed to some extent whereas, because of this structure, although the input inductor is designed in the continuous conduction mode (CCM), the output diode can operate with ZCS turn-off, leading to the resonant inductor operating in the discontinuous conduction mode (DCM), hence there is no reverse recovery current during the turn-off period of the output diode. Furthermore, unlike the existing soft switching circuits, the auto-tuning technique based on a given look-up table is added to adjust the cut-off time point of the auxiliary switch to reduce the current flowing through the output diode, so that the overall efficiency is upgraded further. In this paper, basic operating principles, mathematic deductions, potential designs, and some experimental results are given. To sum up, the novelty of this paper is ZCS turn-off of the output diode, DCM operation of the resonant inductor, and auto-tuning of cut-off time point of the auxiliary switch. In addition, the efficiency of the proposed converter can be up to 96.9%.

This paper focuses on the finite-time boundedness of switched nonlinear systems based on the Finsler’s lemma, auxiliary matrices, and average dwell time method. The analysis is provided for a switched system with Lipschitz nonlinearities and in the presence of external disturbances. Moreover, a switching controller is designed based on linear matrix inequalities (LMIs), to make the closed-loop system finite-time bounded. Presented theorems in this paper are more general and have less conservatism than the existing methods due to using the auxiliary matrices that make the Lyapunov matrix separate from the system matrix in the resulting LMIs. Moreover, in all theorems, the average dwell time of the switching system has been evaluated. Three examples are given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method and to show that it is less conservative compared with existing methods.

Circadian clock is an autonomous oscillator which orchestrates the daily rhythms of physiology and behaviors. This study is devoted to explore how a positive feedback loop affects the dynamics of mammalian circadian clock. We simplify an experimentally validated mathematical model in our previous work, to a nonlinear differential equation with two time delays. This simplified mathematical model incorporates the pacemaker of mammalian circadian clock, a negative primary feedback loop, and a critical positive auxiliary feedback loop, [Formula: see text] loop. We perform analytical studies of the system. Delay-dependent conditions for the asymptotic stability of the nontrivial positive steady state of the model are investigated. We also prove the existence of Hopf bifurcation, which leads to self-sustained oscillation of mammalian circadian clock. Our theoretical analyses show that the oscillatory regime is reduced upon the participation of the delayed positive auxiliary loop. However, further simulations reveal that the auxiliary loop can enable the circadian clock gain widely adjustable amplitudes and robust period. Thus, the positive auxiliary feedback loop may provide a trade-off mechanism, to use the small loss in the robustness of oscillation in exchange for adaptable flexibility in mammalian circadian clock. The results obtained from the model may gain new insights into the dynamics of biological oscillators with interlocked feedback loops.

Some criteria for asymptotic stability of linear and time-invariant systems with constant point delays are derived. Such criteria are concerned with the properties of robust stability related to two relevant auxiliary delay-free systems which are built by deleting the delayed dynamics or considering that the delay is zero. Explicit asymptotic stability results, easy to test, are given for both the unforced and closed-loop systems when the stabilizing controller for one of the auxiliary delay-free systems is used for the current time-delay system. The proposed techniques include frequency domain analysis techniques including the use ofH∞norms.

AbstractThis paper deals with statistical inference procedure of multivariate failure time data when the primary covariate can be measured only on a subset of the full cohort but the auxiliary information is available. To improve efficiency of statistical inference, we use quadratic inference function approach to incorporate the intra-cluster correlation and use kernel smoothing technique to further utilize the auxiliary information. The proposed method is shown to be more efficient than those ignoring the intra-cluster correlation and auxiliary information and is easy to implement. In addition, we develop a chi-squared test for hypothesis testing of hazard ratio parameters. We evaluate the finite-sample performance of the proposed procedure via extensive simulation studies. The proposed approach is illustrated by analysis of a real data set from the study of left ventricular dysfunction.

This paper considers the finite-time dynamic tracking control for parallel robots with uncertainties and input saturation via a finite-time nonsingular terminal sliding mode control scheme. A disturbance observer is designed to estimate the lumped disturbance in the dynamic model of the parallel robot, including modeling errors, friction and external disturbance. By introducing the fractional exponential powers into the existing asymptotic convergent auxiliary system, a novel finite-time convergent auxiliary system is constructed to compensate for input saturation. The finite-time nonsingular terminal sliding mode control is proposed based on the disturbance estimation and the state of the novel auxiliary system, so that the convergence performance, control accuracy and robustness are improved. Due to the estimation and compensation for the lumped disturbance, the inherent chattering characteristic of sliding mode control can be alleviated by reducing the control gain. The finite-time stability of the closed-loop system is proved with Lyapunov theory. Finally, simulation and experimental research on the dynamic control of a conveying parallel robot are carried out to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Due to the time-varying nature of chemical processes, soft sensor models deteriorate, and data prediction accuracy decreases. To address this problem, an adaptive soft sensor modeling method is proposed that not only evaluates the model deterioration by an adaptive moving window-constrained statistical hypothesis test, but also adaptively updates the modeling samples using moving window-cosine similarity. First, this method evaluates the model deterioration via positioning by constrained statistical hypothesis testing based on the differences between the prediction performance evaluation index data obtained from moving window stepping and the original prediction performance evaluation indexes. Additionally, the dynamic temporal variation in chemical processes causes changes in the impacts of the auxiliary variables on the dominant variable, and this effect limits the improvement in the prediction accuracy of the soft sensor model by updating only the auxiliary variable data. The moving window-cosine similarity method is combined to propose a strategy that updates both the modeled auxiliary variables and the auxiliary variable data. Finally, the parameters of the soft sensor model are optimized via particle swarm optimization (PSO) to improve the fitting performance. Simulated data of a continuous stirred tank reactor (CSTR) and actual data from a debutanizer column process (DCP) are used for model verification to evaluate the performance of the proposed adaptive soft sensor modeling method, and the results show its effectiveness.

In order to eliminate the influence of laser frequency nonlinearity, the frequency-scanning interferometry (FSI) often uses the beat signal of an auxiliary interferometer as the external clock. The time points at every amplitude peaks and bottoms of the auxiliary beat signal are selected as the sampling time points for the main interferometer signal. To satisfy the Nyquist sampling requirement, the optical path difference (OPD) of the delay fiber in auxiliary interferometer should be at least twice longer than the measurement distance. In this paper, we proposed a method to shorten the length of delay fiber. The Hilbert transform was used to extract the phase of the auxiliary interference signal and calculate the time points corresponding to subdivided phase intervals. Then, the main interference signal was resampled at these moments, and the fast Fourier transform was performed on the resampled signal. The experimental results showed that the target at the distance of about 5 m was measured when the OPD of the auxiliary interferometer was about 4.5 m. The standard deviation of the distance measurement results could reach 4.64 μm.

The author also considers two likely candidates - Esperanto and English - for the eventual choice as international auxiliary language and the linguistic as well as non-linguistic problems associated with each particular choice. The Bahá’í principle of justice with regard to the choice of a world auxiliary language is also taken into consideration.

This paper proposes a new adaptive algorithm for the active vibration control of time-varying systems in the presence of broadband or narrowband disturbances. The new algorithm combines the conventional filtered-x least mean square algorithm with the recursive prediction error (RPE) algorithm after the gradient modification of the RPE algorithm. The modified RPE algorithm is used to estimate the model of the control path online. The well-known filtered-x least mean square (FxLMS) algorithm is effective for the uncertain or time-varying systems, and adopts an auxiliary white noise approach to estimate the model of the control path online. However, the auxiliary excitation will degrade the control performance to some extent. In the new algorithm, the auxiliary excitation is eliminated at the expense of a larger computational burden. The influence of the estimated finite impulse response series on the convergence is also discussed. A propulsion shafting model with the time-varying dynamics is established by frequency response function synthesis. Numerical simulation for the established model is presented to demonstrate the superior performance of the proposed algorithm as compared with the FxLMS algorithm.

Polish auxiliary clitics constitute an interesting set of data which draws attention to cross-linguistic differences among Slavic languages. A general principle for clitic placement in Indo-European languages is the one described by Jacob Wackernagel in his 1892 work. He concluded that clitics appeared in the second position in the clause, after the first word in a sentence. This pattern was true to some degree in Old Church Slavonic and still holds for a number of contemporary Slavic languages e.g. Serbo-Croatian, Slovene, Czech and Slovak which have second position clitics. Bulgarian and Macedonian have verb adjacent pronominal clitics and Polish has auxiliary clitics (Migdalski 2007, 2010, Pancheva 2005). Also in the older versions of Polish language the above mentioned tendency was strong. In Modern Polish auxiliary clitics attach to the l-participle most frequently. However, one of the unusual properties they possess is the ability to choose almost every clausal element for their host. Polish auxiliary clitics can trigger morphophonological alternations on their hosts, which is an affix-like property; however, at the same time they display clearly clitic-like behaviour when they attach freely to words of any lexical class. The aim of this paper is to present and analyze the morpho-syntactic properties of two kinds of auxiliary clitics: bound and free. The bound clitics carry person-number agreement markers for past tense (the so called ‘floating’ or ‘mobile’ inflections). The free clitic is the morpheme by used for conditional and subjunctive mood.

This paper focuses on the joint estimation of parameters and time-delays of the multiple-input single-output output-error systems. Since the time-delays are unknown, an effective identification model with a high dimensional and sparse parameter vector is established based on overparameterization. Then, the identification problem is converted to a sparse optimization problem. Based on the basis pursuit de-noising criterion and the auxiliary model identification idea, an auxiliary model based basis pursuit de-noising iterative algorithm is presented. The parameters are estimated by solving a quadratic program, and the unavailable terms in the information vector are updated by the auxiliary model outputs iteratively. The time-delays are estimated according to the sparse structure of the parameter vector. The proposed method can obtain effective estimates of the parameters and time-delays from few sampled data. The simulation results illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.

The prediction information has effects on the emergency prevention and advanced control in various complex systems. There are obvious nonlinear, nonstationary, and complicated characteristics in the time series. Moreover, multiple variables in the time-series impact on each other to make the prediction more difficult. Then, a solution of time-series prediction for the multivariate was explored in this paper. Firstly, a compound neural network framework was designed with the primary and auxiliary networks. The framework attempted to extract the change features of the time series as well as the interactive relation of multiple related variables. Secondly, the structures of the primary and auxiliary networks were studied based on the nonlinear autoregressive model. The learning method was also introduced to obtain the available models. Thirdly, the prediction algorithm was concluded for the time series with multiple variables. Finally, the experiments on environment-monitoring data were conducted to verify the methods. The results prove that the proposed method can obtain the accurate prediction value in the short term.

SUMMARYWe studied the energy cost of egg production in two flea species (Parapulex chephrenis and Xenopsylla ramesis) feeding on principal (Acomys cahirinus and Meriones crassus, respectively) and auxiliary (M. crassus and A. cahirinus, respectively) rodent hosts. We predicted that fleas feeding on principal as compared with auxiliary hosts will (a) expend less energy for egg production; (b) produce larger eggs and (c) live longer after oviposition. Both fleas produced more eggs and spent less energy per egg when exploiting principal hosts. Parapulex chephrenis produced larger eggs after exploiting auxiliary hosts, while the opposite was true for X. ramesis. After oviposition, P. chephrenis fed on the auxiliary hosts survived for a shorter time than those fed on the principal hosts, while in X. ramesis the survival time did not differ among hosts. Our results suggested that one of the proximate causes for lower reproductive performance and subsequent lower abundance of fleas on auxiliary hosts is the higher energy cost of egg production. However, in some species, lower offspring number may be compensated to some extent by their size, although this compensation may also compromise their future reproduction via decreased survival. In addition, the reproductive strategy of exploitation of low profitable (i.e. auxiliary) hosts may differ between flea species.

AbstractNonlinear dynamic structural optimization is a real challenge, in particular for problems that require the use of explicit solvers, e.g., crash. Here, the number of design variables is typically very limited. A way to overcome this drawback is to use linear auxiliary load cases which are derived from nonlinear dynamic analysis results in order to enable the application of linear static response optimization. The equivalent static load method (ESLM) provides a well-defined procedure to create such linear auxiliary load cases. The main idea here is that after the selection of a number of representative time steps, a set of equivalent static loads (ESLs) is computed for each time step such that the resulting displacement field in the linear static analysis is identical to the respective field in the nonlinear dynamic analysis. Each set of ESLs defines an auxiliary load case, which is used in the linear static response optimization. The crucial point is that the finite element (FE)-model for each auxiliary load case describes the undeformed initial geometry. This can lead to insufficient approximation quality in the linear static system for highly nonlinear problems. To overcome this drawback, a difference-based extension of the ESL method called DiESL has been developed for nonlinear dynamic response optimization problems. Here, the FE-model for each auxiliary load case describes the deformed nonlinear geometry at the respective time, and the corresponding ESLs create only the displacement field leading to the deformed state of the subsequent ESL time step. Consequently, responses in each linear auxiliary load case (corresponding to a time step) are computed as the accumulated sum of the previous linear auxiliary load cases. Furthermore, the linear static response optimization problem consists not only of one but of nT FE-models where nT is the number of selected time steps. Such a multi-model optimization (MMO) can be solved with commercial FE solvers. It turns out that the DiESL approach leads to a significant improvement of the nonlinear approximation quality and faster convergence to the optimum when compared to standard ESLM. This will be demonstrated and discussed based on selected test examples.

The auxiliary-field quantum Monte Carlo method is reviewed. The Hubbard-Stratonovich transformation converts an interacting Hamiltonian into a non-interacting Hamiltonian in a time-dependent stochastic field, allowing calculation of the resulting functional integral by Monte Carlo methods. The method is presented in a sufficiently general form to be applicable to any Hamiltonian with one- and two-body terms, with special reference to the Heisenberg model and one- and many-band Hubbard models. Many physical correlation functions can be related to correlation functions of the auxiliary field; general results are given here. Issues relating to the choice of auxiliary fields are addressed; operator product identities change the relative dimensionalities of the attractive and repulsive parts of the interaction. Frequently the integrand is not positive-definite, rendering numerical evaluation unstable. If the auxiliary field violates time-reversal invariance, the integrand is complex and this sign problem becomes a phase problem. The origin of this sign or phase is examined from a number of geometrical and other viewpoints and illustrated by simple examples: the phase problem by the spin (1/2) Heisenberg model, and the sign problem by the attractive SU(N) Hubbard model on a triangular molecule with negative hopping integrals. In the latter case, widely studied in the Jahn-Teller literature, the sign is due neither to fermions nor spin, but to frustration. This system is used to illustrate a number of suggested interpretations of the sign problem.

The k-nearest neighbours (k-NN) method constitutes a possible approach to improve the precision of the Horvitz–Thompson estimator of a single interest variable using auxiliary information at the estimation stage. Improvements are likely to occur when the neighbouring structure in the space of auxiliary variables is similar to the neighbouring structure in the space of the survey variables. Populations suitable for k-NN can be identified via the scores of the first principal component computed on the variance–covariance matrix of auxiliary variables. If the first principal component explains a large portion of the whole variability, distances among scores provide good approximations of distances in the space of auxiliary variables in such a way that the effectiveness of k-NN can be assessed by plotting the first principal component scores versus the sampled values of each of the interest variables. Monotone relationships with high values of Spearman’s correlation coefficients should denote effectiveness. Otherwise, when the first principal component explains small fractions of the total variation, an index that directly quantifies the similarity between the neighbouring structure in the space of interest and auxiliary variables is proposed. The validity of the proposed diagnostics is theoretically argued and empirically proven by a simulation study performed on a wide range of artificial and real populations.

Auxiliary channel investigates and identifies environmental signals full-time not intermittent, then uses microwave cancellation technique to eliminate local radar’s emission pulses. As a result, when auxiliary channel amplitude is greater than the main channel, it must be common-frequency interference. The above measures guarantee the accurate identification of common-frequency interference.

There are considerable difference between the actual distance and that measured by infrared or ultrasonic ranging. The car reversing isnt intelligent enough. In order to solve the issues, this paper design an automatic car reversing auxiliary systems based on monocular sight. The system hardware mainly consists of image collection module, embedded micro-controller, and electronic braking module. On the basis of the distance measurement algorithm based on monocular sight, the real-time distance to the front vehicle can be measured and can be auxiliary controlled via the data exchange among vehicle electrical control units. The vehicle dynamic driving experiment verifies the high reliability of the vehicle automatic reversing auxiliary system based on monocular sight. The distance measurement errors are less than 2% when the distance to the front barriers is in the range of 20m~70m. The system can satisfy the real-time requirements for the vehicle intelligent auxiliary braking.

In the last decades, Reconfigurable Manufacturing Systems (RMSs) rose as an emerging manufacturing strategy matching the modern industrial and market requirements asking for a wide variety of products in flexible batches. A traditional reconfigurable manufacturing environment consists of dynamic cells, called Reconfigurable Machine Cells (RMCs), including a set of machines called Reconfigurable Machine Tools (RMTs). Such machines are characterized by fixed elements, i.e., basic modules, and dynamic elements, i.e., auxiliary modules, allowing them to perform different operations. Despite their automation level, these systems require the intervention of the human operators in performing specific tasks, e.g., handling of the auxiliary modules from the warehouse to the RMTs and their assembly/disassembly to/from the RMTs. This issue rises relevant ergonomic and safety questions due to the human–machine collaboration. Following this stream, this paper proposes and applies a bi-objective optimization model for the design and management of RMSs. The technical objective function minimizes the reconfiguration time, i.e., the time needed to equip the RMTs with the required auxiliary modules, and the part and auxiliary module travel time among the RMCs. The ergonomic objective function minimizes the repetitive movements performed by the human operators during the working activities according to the ISO 11228-3 standard. Results show the existence of a good trade-off between the two objective functions, proving the possibility to improve the ergonomic conditions of the human operators without excessively increasing the total time needed for RMTs reconfiguration and for part and auxiliary module travelling.

In order to optimize the application quality of the English auxiliary teaching system, shorten the system response time and CPU utilization, design a Web-based college English auxiliary teaching system, and test its application effect. Using the B/S mode in the Web, install the developed auxiliary teaching system on the server of the control center. The B/S function modules in the system software include the presentation layer, application service layer, and resource layer. Based on this, design the user management module and college English auxiliary teaching functions and allocate bandwidth to the platform resource transmission rate to maximize network utility, reduce platform data transmission failures, and optimize the quality of English auxiliary teaching. The experimental results demonstrate that the system based on the B/S multilayer structure passed all of its tests, showing that it is relatively robust and capable of meeting the needs of college English teaching aids for students and teachers while also achieving the desired outcomes. The teaching information communication delay and response time of the designed system are shorter, and the central processing unit (CPU) utilization rate is also lower.

For thermal fire detectors with a thermoresistive sensitive element, the method of determining its time parameters is justified. The time parameters of operation and the time constant of the thermal fire detector are considered as time parameters. The method is based on the use of the Joule-Lenz effect, for the implementation of which single pulses of electric current are passed through the thermoresistive sensitive element of the fire detector. Pulses having the shape of a quarter sinusoid or a quarter cosinusoid are used as such test signals. Using the Laplace integral transformation, analytical expressions are obtained, which represent the formalization of the reaction of the thermoresistive sensitive element of the fire detector to the corresponding test signals. These analytical expressions are used to obtain the functional dependences of the fire detector time constants on the pulse duration of the electric current and the auxiliary parameter. The auxiliary parameter is the ratio of the values ​​of the output signal of the thermal fire detector at two fixed points in time. This choice of auxiliary parameter allows to ensure invariance with respect to the transfer coefficient of the thermal fire detector with a thermoresistive sensing element. The fixed moments of time are chosen to be equal to half and three quarters of the duration of the pulses of electric current flowing through the thermoresistive sensitive element of the fire detector. The time of operation of the thermal fire detector is determined in the form of two additive components, one of which is a time constant of the fire detector, and the other is determined by the values ​​of normalized parameters in accordance with existing regulations. A sequence of procedures is given, which together represent a method of determining the time parameters of thermal fire detectors of this type.
