Повний текст джерелаThe scope of this research concerns pedestrian active safety. Several primary safety systems have been developed for vehicles in order to detect a pedestrian and to avoid an impact. These systems analyse the forward path of the vehicle through the processing of images from sensors. If a pedestrian is identified on the vehicle trajectory, these systems employ emergency braking and some systems may potentially employ emergency steering. Methods for assessing the effectiveness of these systems have been developed. But, it appears difficult to determine the relevance of these systems in terms of pedestrian protection. The general objective of this research was to test the response of these systems in many accident configurations.The methodology consisted of coupling the vehicle dynamic behaviour with a primary safety system in order to confront these systems to real accident configurations. The relevance of these systems is studied by verifying the feasibility of deploying an autonomous emergency manoeuvre during the timeline of the accident and according to the vehicle dynamic capabilities: i.e. verifying the possibilities in terms of crash avoidance. From these accident reconstructions and simulation, factors relevant to the primary safety of pedestrians were deduced

C'est pourquoi,il est indispensable, pour la compréhension du système juridique congolais, de recourir à l'examen des mécanismes de droit coutumier traditionnel qui continuent, très souvent, si pas dans la perception mais en tout cas dans l'application/ de régir les institutions et les rapports de droit privé. Il importe ainsi d'examiner d'abord,la structure de la responsabilité civile en droit positif écrit (Titre 1er),ensuite en droit coutumier traditionnel (Titre II) afin d'en ressortir les apports mutuels qui puissent nous permettre de fonder, dans le système juridique congolais, un meilleur droit de la réparation.

Повний текст джерелаIn-depth road accident analyses show that time limitation takes an important part in accident processes, and particularly in emergency situations where the driver tries to come back to a normal driving situation, by the means of an appropriate manoeuvre. Times available to decide and react vary from 2 to 5 seconds. Drivers use heuristics, taking into account only a few elements or cues among all those available in the situation. Emergency mechanisms, in front of an intruding obstacle, seem to rely on some very simple rules, resulting in an over-use of braking, although in many cases sideways avoidance would have been the best manoeuvre to perform. Drivers are nevertheless aware that for a determined and stable position of an obstacle, sideways avoidance remains possible nearer of this obstacle than braking, especially for high speeds, as it was shown by a field experiment. But it seems that no time is left for accurate speed or distance judgements, and that experienced-based knowledge and representations play the greatest part in the construction of rules. These rules are conservative (not intending a sideways movement without being sure that it will be successful, delaying as long as possible the final decision in case of uncertanty), but in case of great proximity of the obstacle can give way to more physical reactions which are ultimate attempts to get out of the way of the threatening object

Повний текст джерелаIn this study, two types of physical parametric models built using a combination of springs, masses and links are introduced for a vehicle frontal crash study. In addition, two 5DOF linear parametric models (LMS) are proposed and checked, based on the previous investigation made by Mr Javad Marzbanrad and Mostafa Pahlavani. The values of spring and dampers have been determined using an optimisation of deceleration, considering the numerical results from finite element and experimental results. These determined values have been calculated on the basis of minimisation of the root mean square of the difference between simulated and experimental results as occurred for occupants in the frontal crash.

Повний текст джерелаIn France, the majority of factors involved in road accidents are human. The private car represents 80% of road traffic, and is involved in 60% of accidents. The accidents caused by car-drivers are thus a social fact, which must be considered in relation to the attitude the driver has towards his vehicle. The car gives the driver more power, more protection, the possibility of escapism and an enlarged inter-individual space. So, the car isolates the driver, and provokes him to withdraw into himself. The acts of communication so essential for road safety tend to become aggressive. These acts are normalized by a fatalistic sociological attitude to accidents. We have studied the communication between future car-drivers (96 children, from 7 to 10 years old) in four different situations of isolation. Two main behavioral patterns appeared: avoidance of contact (flight) and approach (aggression). Avoidance behavior is typically a female trait, and aggressiveness, typically masculine. For children of 9-10 years of age, these patterns appear most markedly in two situations: o (minimum isolation) and (. 0. ) (maximum isolation). These different approaches to the vehicle are in relation with the driver's self-esteem. A progressive education is therefore necessary if responsible driving behavior is to be achieved, in association with safe communication. This requires an awareness of one's role in the road using community, a new image of the car and of the inevitability of accidents

Повний текст джерелаThe aim of this PhD was to test for the first time in France through eight empirical studies, the relationships between trait driving anger, how people express their anger while driving, traffic violations and accidents among young drivers. We translate and validate in French the Driving Anger Scale (Deffenbacher et al. , 1994) and the Driving Anger Expression Inventory (Deffenbacher et al. , 2002). High positive correlations were observed between D. A. S. And aggressive forms of anger expression from D. A. X and also with violations. Anger evoked by progress impeded situations and use of the vehicle to express anger were good predictors of self-reported violations. Driving logs show that encounter anger-provoking situations while driving is rather frequent during short and usual trips. The implications of the findings for intervention strategies were considered

Повний текст джерелаThis thesis deals with safety, speed and road maintenance. We especially focus on the impact of road characteristics on two principal items related to the road user: road safety and travel time. The actual systems consider the costs of the maitre d'ouvrage as one of the principal determinants in the decision of repairing or not a given road. In this study, we go a step ahead and we propose a better optimization of the road surface characteristics by considering the cost incurred by the users. Here, we especially focus on road safety and on travel time thanks to a behavioral model with multi-levels: accident frequency, accident severity and speed. First, we quantify the relationship between road characteristics and accident frequency and severity by using discrete regression models of multinomial logit type. This multi-level analysis has been chosen because it permits to take into account behavioral parameters, especially speed (which is a measure of the user's accepted risk) in the explanation of the accident frequency and severity. The vehicles' speed is then linked to the road and traffic characteristics and to the associated frequency and severity probabilities, the latter giving a measure of the user's perceived risk. The vehicles'speed is estimated with a regression model that simultaneously determinate a convenient functional form of our relationships. Not constrained functionnal forms are obtained thanks to box-cox transformations of the parameters. The optimal functional forms we obtain are often different from the predetermined forms and lead to better forecasts. This remark also for the modeling of the frequency and the severity of accidents. The next step of this work will be to consider other individual factors like driver's age and sex, vehicle's technology or economic indicators to specify a more complete behavioural model. Moreover, our formalization is made on a choice based sample which permit to complete at low cost the data base

Повний текст джерелаComputer sciences take a rising place in various industrial systems, complex spatial equipment are for instance controlled by computer systems. The equipment operates correctly when the behavior of the computer part is correct. Thus, verification methods are of great importance, as they prove the correct behavior according to rigorous and exhaustive analyses based on strong theories, the methods also bring appropriated tools. Within the verification scheme, a model of the system is described using languages which semantics associate to the model a state graph that represents all possible executions. This space makes it possible the identification of such states or sequences which are not allowed. The construction of this graph may lead to the combinatorial explosion problem. This key step takes thus preponderant place in this thesis, here are considered various construction strategies with reduction, based on partial orders and equivalency relations : verification tools implementing these strategies are compared according to various classical case studies. A more complex case study, that concerns an agent based system dedicated to road collision risks management, has also been dealt with. Consequently, specification, graph construction and verification aspects were considered. This part of the study associates researchers from different areas, highlighting key points of complex systems design. This collaboration allowed the definition of abstractions, focusing on interactions, reducing thus the size of state graphs, making possible the verification step. Modeling, within tools languages, of parallel processing, led us to propose several control schemes which verifications all succeeded
