Solid-state diffusional phase transformations are vital approaches for controlling of the material microstructure and thus tailoring the properties of metals and alloys. To exploit this mean to a full extent, much effort is paid on the reliable and efficient modeling and simulation of the phase transformations. This work gives an overview of the developments in theoretical research of solid-state diffusional phase transformations and the current status of various numerical simulation techniques such as empirical and analytical models, phase field, cellular automaton methods, Monte Carlo models and molecular dynamics methods. In terms of underlying assumptions, physical relevance, implementation and computational efficiency for the simulation of phase transformations, the advantages and disadvantages of each numerical technique are discussed. Finally, trends or future directions of the quantitative simulation of solid-state diffusional phase transformation are provided.

How can one ‘see’ the operationalization of contemporary visual culture, given the imperceptibility and apparent automation of so many processes and dimensions of visuality? Seeing – as a position from a singular mode of observation – has become problematic since many visual elements, techniques, and forms of observing are highly distributed through data practices of collection, analysis and prediction. Such practices are subtended by visual cultural techniques that are grounded in the development of image collections, image formatting and hardware design. In this article, we analyze recent transformations in forms of prediction and data analytics associated with spectacular performances of computation. We analyze how transformations in the collection and accumulation of images as ensembles by platforms have a qualitative and material effect on the emergent sociotechnicality of platform ‘life’ and ‘perception’. Reconstructing the visual transformations that allow artificial intelligence assemblages to operate allows some sense of their heteronomous materiality and contingency.

The problem of functional diagnosis of digital devices forming a network of state automata is considered. This task for the network components is supposed to be solved, and the corresponding diagnostic devices for them are provided. The possibility of their population transformation into the tools for the entire network diagnostics is shown. The result of the transformation with the restrictions on the number of components with errors is simplified in compare with the original population. A procedure is proposed allowing to find analytical expressions defining an auxiliary control and an error discriminator for the most probable case of error localization (all errors are concentrated in a certain component of the network). The first part of the article provides a solution of the functional diagnosis problem for the case when the parity functions of all components are scalar, and the class of detectable errors is given by unit multiplicity. Next, the result generalizes for the case of vector functions, where multiple errors can occur. The procedure minimizes the sought for functional diagnosis devices with respect to the order when preserving the initial detecting ability within any network component. The obtained results are illustrated by an example of construction of functional diagnosis equipment for ranging signal processing device in broadband short-range radio engineering navigation system.

Process analytical technology aims at process knowledge and process improvement, efficiency, and sustainability. A prerequisite is process monitoring. The combination of microreaction systems and spectroscopy proved suitable due to dimension and compound reduction and real-time monitoring capabilities. Compact 1H NMR, NIR, and Raman spectroscopy were used to monitor the biocatalyzed hydrolysis and esterification of acetic anhydride to isoamyl acetate using immobilized Candida antarctica lipase B (CALB) in a microreaction system in real-time. To facilitate the identification of signals suitable for the extraction of concentration-time (c-t) graphs, 2D heterocorrelation spectra were generated through covariance transformations applied to 1D Raman, NIR, and NMR data. By means of this purely mathematical statistical procedure, the relevant signals of the process media were assigned to educts and products and thus made applicable for univariate data evaluation. The data obtained were interpreted in terms of a first-order kinetic model, and corresponding reaction rate constants were extracted. An alternative, elegant, and fit-for-automation approach for the kinetic analysis of the spectra was demonstrated in using multivariate curve resolution (MCR). The results of the univariate and multivariate approaches were comparable with regard to reaction rates and concentrations. While the manual integration of the 1H NMR spectra followed by univariate analysis allowed to establish a concentration profile of the final product isoamyl acetate hence revealing more details, multivariate analysis was found more suitable for process automation.

A fear from Technological Advances mainly automation and artificial intelligence (AI) has been raised since the beginning of the 21st century, that machines will eliminate human beings performing certain tasks. Several models were developed to measure the effect of the Automation & AI on the employment and was applied on several countries. The first model was developed by Carl Benedikt Frey and Michael A. Osborne was called An Occupation-Based Approach, 2013. In which they define several tasks and call it “Engineering-Bottlenecks”. Katharina Dengler, Britta Matthes and Wiebke Paulus, 2014 made The Occupational Tasks model in which they use the assignment of activities explained by Alexandra Spitz-Oener and categorize the non-automatable tasks as: analytical non-routine tasks, interactive non-routine tasks. The last model was A-Task Based Approach by Melanie Arntz, Terry Gregory, 2016 in which they argue that FO Model Ignore that, the occupations consist of many tasks, part of them can be automated and another part cannot be. These models were applied on the level of the countries but not on corporate levels.The purpose of this paper is to combine the above three models and applying them on the Mobile operators in Egypt to determine the effect of Automation and AI on the Employment there, taking into consideration the incremental risk from COVID-19 which influenced the humanity.The conclusion of this research is that 41% of the staff working in the Technology field on the mobile operators, their jobs are subject to automation and COVID-19 will make an incremental Risk of 8%, due to creation of efficiency on performing the un-automatable tasks from home through digital platforms.

The key technological know-how modernization in the breathing space encompass paying attention about the areas such as indoor vertical farming, automation and robotics, livestock technology, modern greenhouse practices, precision agriculture and artificial intelligence, and block chain. Contemporary agricultural practices use mechanized tools for irrigation, tilling and harvesting beside with hybrid seeds. In India, the cultivation know-how are labour intensive, whereas the contemporary agriculture equipment are mostly capital intensive. The main purpose of an application performance monitoring/management (APM) software is to ensure the highest availability, efficiency and security of applications. An APM software accomplishes the main goals through automation, measurements, analysis and diagnostics. Gartner specifies the three crucial capabilities of APM softwares. The first is an end-user experience monitoring for revealing the interactions of users with application and infrastructure components. The second is application discovery, diagnostics and tracing. The third key component is machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) powered data analytics for predictions, anomaly detection, event correlations and root cause analysis. Time series metrics, logs and traces are the three pillars of observability and the valuable source of information for IT operations. Accurate, scalable and robust time series forecasting and anomaly detection are the requested capabilities of the analytics. Approaches based on neural networks (NN) and deep learning gain an increasing popularity due to their flexibility and ability to tackle complex nonlinear problems. However, some of the disadvantages of NN-based models for distributed cloud applications mitigate expectations and require specific approaches. We demonstrate how NN-models, pretrained on a global time series database, can be applied to customer specific data using transfer learning. In general, NN-models adequately operate only on stationary time series. Application to nonstationary time series requires multilayer data processing including hypothesis testing for data categorization, category specific transformations into stationary data, forecasting and backward transformations. We present the mathematical background of this approach and discuss experimental results based on implementation for Wavefront by VMware (an APM software) while monitoring real customer cloud environments.

ntroduction. R&D intensification and semiconductor technologies actualization in the 70’s of XX century led to the development of specialized electronic computers («Electronic accounting machines»); intended for the automation of accounting and analytical work. The most popular among specialized computing equipment was the electronic accounting machine “Iskra 554ˮ (later – “Iskra 555ˮ); the use of which has made significant changes in accounting practices of the USSR enterprises. Purpose. The main aim is to scientifically substantiate the transformation processes in the organization and methodology of accounting with the implementation of small specialized electronic accounting machines (on the example of “Iskra 554 (555)ˮ) and to study the experience of their use for accounting processes automation of different objects and types of economic activity. Methods. General scientific empirical and logical methodical methods of knowledge of reality were used in the process of substantiating the relationship between the implementation of electronic accounting machines in the USSR enterprises and the transformation of accounting. The historical method of investigation of facts and phenomena is the basis of the retrospective positioning of the specialized computers evolution with their introduction into the accounting practice of various activity enterprises. The information base of the research was the historical documents about the electronic accounting machines; scientific works of domestic and foreign scientists in the field of accounting automation in the USSR; etc. Results. The history of accounting automation using the electronic accounting machine “Iskra 554 (555)ˮ is analyzed. Technical and functional characteristics of USSR and foreign small specialized computers are compared. The influence of the electronic accounting machine “Iskra 554 (555)ˮ using in the organization and methodology of accounting in the USSR has been determined. It is proved that the implementation of specialized technical equipment in the accounting practice of the USSR enterprises led to the table-automated form of accounting actualization. The experience of using the electronic accounting machine “Iskra 554 (555)ˮ for automation of accounting information processing in industry; trade; agriculture; motor transport; banking and postal sphere; education is investigated. Discussion.The impact of the electronic accounting machine “Iskra 554 (555)ˮ using on the transformation of the functional responsibilities of accounting and management professionals remains unclear. Personalization of accounting calculations using small specialized computers has led to the evolutionary improvement of the organizational structure of management of the USSR enterprises; which needs further scientific research.

Accountancy is an integral part of any enterprise functioning. But it is impossible to keep an accounting without using a computer and software in modern economic conditions. Nowadays, the introduction of sanctions against the manufacturer and a number of dealers of one of the most popular software products, «1S: Accounting» introduced the problem of choosing accounting software before a considerable number of business entities that would be allowed for the use on the territory of Ukraine. There is a transformation of the accounting system and accounting procedures in the conditions of the use of the computer technologies and software products for accounting automation, which is accompanied by the increase in the quality and efficiency level of the management process. The application of automation software significantly increases the quality of accounting information process in organizations. We consider the main advantages of the use of modern information technology for automation of accounting procedures on the basis of the conducted critical analysis of special literature. They are: 1) processing and preserving a large number of identical units in the structural plan of accounting information; 2) the possibility of choosing the necessary information from a great number of data; 3) reliable and faultless realization of mathematical calculations; 4) operational obtaining of the necessary data for the adoption of reasonable management decisions; 5) repeated recreation of actions. It should be noted that in the conditions of the use of automated forms of accounting, the technological process of processing of records envisages the implementation of the following successive steps:1) collection and registration of primary data for further realization of automated processing; 2) the formation of arrays of records on electronic media, including: a journal of economic operations, the structure of synthetic and analytical accounts, manuals of analytical objects, permanent information etc.; 3) receiving, at the request of the user, the necessary accounting data for the reporting period in the form of registers of synthetic accounting, analytical tables and certificates of accounts. The overview of the major software products («Parus accounting», «SAP», «Master: accounting», «IS-pro»), which are widely used in Ukraine, showed that despite the restrictions, most enterprises, including those providing outsourcing services, continue to use the «1S: Accounting» program for keeping records. From our point of view, the most optimal accounting program of ukrainian production is «Master: accounting», which could completely replace the software product «1S: Accounting» in the field of agriculture. The software product «Master: agro» for keeping records of agrobusinesses meets the requirements of the current legislation of Ukraine and is fully adapted to the ukrainian market. It consists of functional modules embracing all areas of accounting and tax accounting. The important advantage of the program «Master: accounting» is also a training program for partners, which is made for 12 classes. The main purpose of this is to provide partners with practical skills in installing the program and the features of the configuration of its modules, the study of basic programming tools and settings for solving account tasks. The studying process is divided into 3 levels. The first level is «user» ‒ designed for anyone who can potentially work with the program. The second level «consultant» is for the automatic setting and training of users. The third «developer» is for those companies and partners who need aintenser adaptation of the product to the working process. Single Sensor Differential Thermal Analysis (SS-DTA) is a novel non-destructive testing technique for studying and detecting the phase transformations and structural changes in materials. It uses only one temperature sensor to measure the temperature in a particular point of interest in the material during actual and simulated thermal processing of the material. SS-DTA compares the temperature recorded in a tested specimen against a reference thermal profile which can be generated either by analytical formulae or piecewise linear approximation. The main advantage of piecewise linear approximation over the analytical formulae is that it does not need the knowledge of tested material and processing conditions to optimally estimate the parameters of reference thermal history. On the other hand, in order to apply the piecewise linear approximation technique we must specify the segment width which is normally fixed at a nominal value of 1.5 seconds. We have recently found that this nominal value might not be an optimal choice for the segment width as it does not guarantee to give the best detectability of phase transformation. Therefore, in this research work we proposed a technique to automatically select an appropriate value of the segment width. The performance of proposed method has been evaluated by investigating the phase transformations of welded stainless steel SUS 321and SUS 304. It was found that the appropriate segment width could be ranging from 1.25-1.75 seconds and by using this selection technique, we could detect the differential temperature more accurately than when using the nominal value.

In modern conditions, an enterprise is a complex socio-economic system that should have the ability to resist and quickly adapt to changes occurring in the external and internal environment. Sustainable and dynamic development of the enterprise in the conditions of digitalization is inextricably linked with ensuring its economic security. At the same time, in the context of digital business transformation, there is an objective need to develop and implement information and analytical systems that allow automating data processing, conducting their accounting and analysis, as well as performing forecasting tasks using mathematical assessment tools. Information and analytical systems will automate the management functions of the enterprise and ensure high-quality decision-making at all levels of management. In other words, in the digital economy, the activities of enterprises largely depend on their information support. The author suggests to improve the methodology of complex analysis and assessment of the level of economic security of the enterprise on the basis of an information and analytical system of indicators. The use of the proposed software tools is designed to automate the calculation of the mathematical expectation of a discrete random variable, as which the probability of the influence of the i-th factor on the level of economic security of the enterprise is selected within the framework of the model of its integral assessment according to the blocks of integral indicators "Resource availability" and "Perfomance indicators". Automation of these calculations will allow the enterprise to reach a qualitatively new level of management decision- making, accompanying the text conclusion with appropriate calculations and additional information and graphic information required in the process of making management decisions.

Energy generation, along with other sectors of Russia’s economy, is on the cusp of the era of digital transformation. Modern IT solutions ensure the transition of industrial enterprises from automation and computerization, which used to be the targets of the second half of the last century, to digital enterprise concept 4.0. The international record of technological and structural solutions in digitization may be used in Russia’s energy sector to the full extent. Specifics of implementation of such systems in different countries are only determined by the level of economic development of each particular state and the attitude of public authorities as related to the necessity of creating conditions for implementation of the same. It is shown that a strong legislative framework is created in Russia for transition to the digital economy, with research and applied developments available that are up to the international level. The following digital economy elements may be used today at enterprises for production of electrical and thermal energy: — dealing with large amounts of data (including operations exercised via cloud services and distributed data bases); — development of small scale distributed generation and its dispatching; — implementation of smart elements in both electric power and heat supply networks; — development of production process automation systems, remote monitoring and predictive analytics; 3D-modeling of parts and elements; real time mathematic simulation with feedback in the form of control actions; — creating centres for analytical processing of statistic data and accounting in financial and economic activities with business analytics functions, with expansion of communication networks and computing capacities. Examples are presented for implementation of smart systems in energy production and distribution. It is stated in the paper that state-of art information technologies are currently being implemented in Russia, new unique digital transformation projects are being launched in major energy companies. Yet, what is required is large-scale and thorough digitization and controllable energy production system as a multi-factor business process will provide the optimum combination of efficient economic activities, reliability and safety of power supply.

Other tasks also defined by Katharina Dengler, Britta Matthes and Wiebke Paulus, 2014 in which they use the assignment of activities explained by Alexandra Spitz-Oener for non-automatable tasks and categorize them as: analytical non-routine tasks, interactive non-routine tasks. To mitigate the Risk of Automation and AI, there is a need for Upskilling and Reskilling the current workforce to perform the un-automatable tasks, created from the development of new products and services as well as performing new complementary tasks created to support the new automated systems. The purpose of this paper is to examine whether the current Reskilling and Upskilling activities are organized in the right track to fill in the new created jobs, and whether they are making use of COVID-19, which gave a surplus of time by WFH and cutting the transportation time. The conclusion of this research is 38% of the existing tasks, is under the risk of automation and 51% of the employees more than 40% of their current tasks are subject to automation. COVID-19 through WFH can provide more time for learning and development.  Reskilling and Upskilling of the current workforce will not be effective unless it is correlated with the new created jobs from introducing new products and services or complementary jobs for newly introduced automated systems as the new created jobs are mainly SW developers. The quantitative method used in this research is based on survey through questionnaires to a probability sample for 100 Engineers working in a technical department in Mobile Operator, and the Qualitative method is based on Structured interviews with a non-probability sample of Technology Managers, as Judgmental Sampling.

The purpose is to develop a mechanism for digital transformation of a machine-building holding in relation to the formation of a single information space based on modern approaches to business process reengineering. Methods. I apply methods of systems and economic analysis, modeling of business processes of enterprises. Results. The key factor in the formation of positive effects of digital transformation of industrial enterprises is the integration of business processes within a single information environment. The result of automation of key processes of products’ life cycle within the framework of a single digital platform will be the replacement of "patchwork" automation in disparate information systems of enterprises with integrated monitoring and life cycle management systems, operating on the basis of a single information space. Conclusions. The introduction of "seamless" information exchange based on a single information space is urgent for holding structures characterized by heterogeneous and poorly compatible information systems. The integration of systems of development, modeling, management, and analytical processing based on digital twins, the introduction of augmented and virtual reality tools, and the use of artificial intelligence elements for production management are a necessary stage for the formation of new methods of technological preparation and organization of production, and for the creation of a full-fledged digital twin of production and product life cycle processes.

In this paper, an attempt is made to equivalent transformation of structured data by tabular forms by means of their adequate transformation into vector similarity forms, which significantly improve the conditions for formalization of computing processes and processing of information structures and data arrays. In this work, a multi-phase cellular automaton (CA) model is extended for the quantitative simulation of peritectic phase transition. First, the effects of cooling rate/supersaturation and temperature on the peritectic transformation kinetics in Fe-C alloys are investigated by utilizing the present CA model. The CA simulations show that supersaturations in the parent phases (liquid and δ-ferrite) increase the L/γ interface growth velocity remarkably, but tinily for the δ/γ interface migration velocity. There exists a transition supersaturation for isothermal transformations, at which the growth rates of the two interfaces are equal. The transition supersaturation is found to increase with decreasing temperature. Microstructural evolution at different cooling rates during peritectic transformation is simulated using the experimental conditions. At low cooling rates, the δ/γ interface propagates at a higher velocity than the L/γ interface. At high cooling rates, however, the γ-phase grows more into the L-phase with a cellular morphology. Then, the proposed CA model is applied to simulate the microstructural evolution during peritectic reaction. It is observed that the γ-phase propagates along the L/δ interface and finally encircles the δ-phase. Meanwhile, the intervenient γ-phase grows in thickness through peritectic transformation. The CA simulations are compared reasonably well with the experimental data and analytical calculations.

Traditional approaches to higher education institutions informatization through their automation no longer meet the requirements of the time. Therefore, new approaches are needed, based on the digitalization of educational processes aimed at creating digital universities. For this purpose, the current state of information systems in higher education institutions use and the issue of higher education institutions digital transformation were studied. The problem of automation tools separation was revealed, which does not allow to effectively implement digitalization projects, does not allow to create a single system of building digital universities. It is proposed to solve the digital transformation of higher education institutions problem based on the use of concentric information technology developed in this study, which integrates all information bases, methods and means of solving functional problems into a single digital space to maximize information needs of higher education institutions. This technology is based on the following developed in the study: 1) concentric model of information technology of digital transformation of higher education institutions, which allows to integrate methods and tools of information management to create a single higher education institutions digital space; 2 functionally independent method of information management of higher education institutions, which allows to create universal tools of informatization, which are independent of the composition and specifics of the construction of the created tools of solving functional problems; 3) interlayer information interaction methods, providing reflection in the processes of each of the layers of changes in the information environment of neighboring layers. The results of the study were used in the construction of information and analytical system of the university educational activities support, which was developed and implemented at Cherkasy State Technological University.

The article deals with the development of a mechanism for the e-commerce enterprises' extension in the context of digitalization. It is established that e-commerce enterprises should actively implement the possibility of combining offline and online channels and consider ways to improve the operational efficiency of conducting activities through the automation of commodity accounting and analytical accounting systems, the development of loyalty programs, and acquiring including through the use of contactless payment technology. It is proved that digital trade enterprises need to actively implement self-service cash registers and develop their own mobile applications. It is revealed that e-commerce enterprises should accumulate available information, analyze the frequency, place, time, and preferred channel of purchases, and form a point-based personalized offer. It is determined that digital transformation entails not only investment in new technologies and their subsequent implementation, but also the transformation of the product offered by the company in the market.

It is noted that in the context of the development of digitalization and changing the conditions of market competition, the key task is the presence of competitive advantages in the insurer – its unique characteristics, skills, resources, results and opportunities that allow withstanding the competition that exists in the insurance market. Based on indicators of insurance companies assessment by potential consumers of insurance services, internal and external competitive advantages are systematized as the main competences of ensuring the competitiveness of the insurer. It has been established that the current stage of the development of the insurance business is accompanied by a large-scale digital transformation in all spheres of economic activity, and the progressive digitalization of insurance relations is a key competitive advantage of insurance companies. The necessity of changing traditional business models and introduction of technological innovations to ensure a new level of quality of insurance services and preservation of competitive positions in the insurance business environment is substantiated. The directions of providing competitive advantages of the insurer on the basis of digitalization are proposed, among them the development of online communications through the Internet and social networks, a flexible approach to the offer of insurance services, automation of the insurer's key business processes, underwriting on the basis of big data and advanced analytics, interaction with InsurTech companies. Digital transformation of healthcare is a factor accelerating the change in the healthcare system in response to the challenges introduced by global demographic, technological and socio-economic trends. There are no technological barriers for digital transformation; however, there are organizational, legal and social limitations that need to be dealt with. In this article, digital technologies are presented as the main driver for the change development, ensuring the availability, speed and continuity of medical care provision, automation of routine processes and the processing of objective data for making management decisions. From the viewpoint of the established change management practice the article presents the current state of healthcare informatization and digital transformation experience of Moscow inpatient care by implementing the Unified Medical Information and Analytical System (EMIAS). Authors also present the general approach to change management developed by the Moscow Healthcare Department for all types of medical organizations, which is stipulated in regulatory documents. The article determines the main mechanisms of change management, certain limitations and ways to overcome them. Authors also describe the levels of digital transformation of Moscow’s medical organizations and propose the guiding principles for developing introduction measures for digital technology.

This paper suggests that the innovation process has intensified as a result of the application of new digital technologies. These technologies that simulate, model and integrate, intensify the innovation process through facilitating economy of effort and definiteness of aim. Of all the many analytical lenses used to examine innovation, the most valuable in accounting for this "automation of innovation" is Rothwell's concept of the 5th Generation Innovation Process. Our paper revisits this element of Rothwell's (1992) prize-winning article in R&D Management. It reviews the use of a range of enabling technologies and strategic management practices for the automation of innovation that were either in gestation or unknown at the time of Rothwell's paper. Rothwell's speculation about the increased "electronification" of the innovation process, and of related technological and strategic integration, has proven to be correct. The use of the new "lectronic toolkit" can transform the innovation process by facilitating the transfer, transformation and control of information. Using insights from contemporary innovation and management research, this paper examines the benefits and limitations of these digital technologies in dealing with the challenges of innovation of reducing costs and increasing speed, predictability and strategic organisational integration. It presents a conceptual framework for assessing the intensification of innovation and outlines some strategic managerial precepts that will facilitate effective use of these technologies. The paper concludes with speculations about future developments in the intensification of innovation and its impact for strategic management, together with questions for further research.

The problem of automation of the processes of information transmission and processing in adaptive information systems is considered. An analysis of existing approaches to solving this problem showed the prospects of using neural network technologies. A neural network method for processing and transmitting information in adaptive information systems is formulated. The method includes a formalized description of a neural network data channel - a software tool for analysis, data processing and selection of data transfer protocol. The main stages of the proposed method are outlined: classification of the structures of the source data, their transformation, data processing, selection of the necessary protocol for transmitting information. Each of the stages is implemented through neural networks of various architectures. The theoretical rationale of the possibility of using the neural network method is given, obtained on the basis of the proof of a number of theorems. The novelty of the proposed method consists in the transition from an analytical solution of the problems of classification, processing and data transfer to an automated approach using machine learning technologies. The practical significance of the neural network method is to reduce the complexity of the implementation of information processing and transmission processes, to increase the level of automation in the organization of intermodular interaction. The implementation of the neural network method has been assessed using a number of software complexity assessment metrics. The application, virtues and failings of the developed method are analyzed.

Digital transformation of business processes in HR management through social, mobile, analytical and cloud technologies allows to optimize work with paper documents, improve procedures and operations of personnel management, reduce their complexity, make all HR activities more mobile. This makes it possible not only to improve the involvement and retention of employees, but also significantly increase the success of the company through continuous transformation, which is important for business as a whole. Capabilities of modern domestic and foreign HRM-systems are analyzed and their advantages and disadvantages are identified in this paper. Comparative analysis of modern HRM-systems allows to generalize the possibilities for automating personnel management’s main business processes. Recommendations for evaluating the effectiveness of HRM-systems into practice of modern company’s personnel management are proposed. Key areas and indicators that characterize the features of software for personnel management automation are identified. Implementation of the initiative on digital transformation of HR-processes is an important task for enterprises. In practice, it is crucial issue to have an assessment of the real picture for digitization process and its effectiveness. The purpose of the paper is to study the current state of capital investments in Ukraine, to identify areas to improve investment attractiveness. Methodology The theoretical and methodological basis of the study are modern theories of market economy. The following methods were used in the research: inductive, deductive, analysis and synthesis, historical and logical, graphic. Results. It is established that the economic activity of individual economic entities, regions and the country as a whole is largely characterized by the volume and forms of investment. Development of the state is impossible without a sufficient level of investment, their focus on priority sectors of the national economy and effective use. Investments are an important factor of progressive development of any economic system. The obstacles to the effective implementation of the investment mechanism are indicated. It was found that the volume of investment in the domestic economy remains low due to an unfavorable investment climate caused by an imperfect legislative framework, underdeveloped stock market and financial and credit system, strong tax pressure, inefficient use of depreciation deductions, and low level of transformation of savings of the population into investment. The analytical assessment of capital investments in Ukraine, the dynamics of their change, by types of economic activity in 2016-2020 was carried out. The volumes of capital investments in Ukraine by types of assets in 2016-2020 were studied. The sources of financing of capital investments and their structure are characterized. The directions of increasing investment attractiveness are defined. The most priority directions are replacement of worn-out machines and equipment, automation and mechanization of the production process, reduction of production costs and environmental protection. Practical implications. As a result of the study, priority areas to improve the investment attractiveness of business entities, which will contribute to investment security, through a balanced and sound public policy to support investment activities and implementation of the proposed recommendations for businesses and public authorities.

Ensuring security for modern IoT systems requires the use of complex methods to analyze their software. One of the most in-demand methods that has repeatedly been proven to be effective is static analysis. However, the progressive complication of the connections in IoT systems, the increase in their scale, and the heterogeneity of elements requires the automation and intellectualization of manual experts’ work. A hypothesis to this end is posed that assumes the applicability of machine-learning solutions for IoT system static analysis. A scheme of this research, which is aimed at confirming the hypothesis and reflecting the ontology of the study, is given. The main contributions to the work are as follows: systematization of static analysis stages for IoT systems and decisions of machine-learning problems in the form of formalized models; review of the entire subject area publications with analysis of the results; confirmation of the machine-learning instrumentaries applicability for each static analysis stage; and the proposal of an intelligent framework concept for the static analysis of IoT systems. The novelty of the results obtained is a consideration of the entire process of static analysis (from the beginning of IoT system research to the final delivery of the results), consideration of each stage from the entirely given set of machine-learning solutions perspective, as well as formalization of the stages and solutions in the form of “Form and Content” data transformations.

The work considers the peculiarities of formulating the business model of the commercial enterprise on the basis of improvements in the accounting and analytical support. A particular role of the rational organization of accounting in the implementation of principles of re-engineering in the enterprise business processes has been proven within the scope of the presented paper. For these purposes, the accounting ratios and indicators represented in the reporting information must remain precise, reliable and relevant, adapted to transfer and identification by all hardware resources and technological means without data corruption. The paper incorporates the elaborated scheme for re-engineering of accounting and analytical support for inventory management according to the intended purposes. It is determined that forecasting of the prospects of the enterprise development based upon conducting re-engineering of the accounting and analytical system serves to establish the best possible directions for its activity, to evaluate new possibilities and alternatives that are employed in drafting the balance statements in the process of predictive assessment and promotes the rational use of resources. The re-engineering is based upon the use of the latest information technologies. Therefore, quite frequently re-engineering becomes compared to the notions of computerization of business processes, automation and reorganization of the enterprise. The processes must be conceived with the use of modern communication technologies, use of the Internet, objective multi-level models for development of computing systems, achievements in the domain of databases. Information technologies are intended to facilitate the management of large amounts of data. Implementation of the principles of re-engineering within the practical activity of enterprises requires continuous stimulation of the personnel towards their professional growth. Introduction of the computer-mediated system of accounting at the enterprise must be preceded by the re-engineering of business processes, i.e. re-thinking and re-designing the enterprise activities for the purpose of achieving sizeable improvements in such key indicators of modern business management as the profit, the quality, the level of service and the prompt responsiveness. The success of re-engineering is bound with fast transformations in the enterprise while namely the radical nature of measures applied serves as the key indicator. It is imperative that enterprise employees would be committed to radical and swift changes in their work, with the corresponding absence of conflicts. Another point of success would be managing every employee of the company to form a common and specific understanding of the future of enterprise.

To study resonance and near-resonance phenomena, a symbolic (complex) method was used, which makes it possible to significantly increase productivity, simplify and formalize mathematical transformations. Parallel and sequential connections of elements of a mechanical system with a source of harmonic force or a source of harmonic speed as a source of external mechanical harmonic action are considered. The analytical descriptions of resonance in theoretical mechanics courses correspond to parallel connection. There are devices, in a satisfactory approximation, capable of performing the functions of sources of force and sources of speed. The source of harmonic speed can be a crank-yoke drive and a flywheel with a large moment of inertia. The source of the harmonic force can be the rod of the pneumatic cylinder, the cavity of which communicates with the cavity of another pneumatic cylinder, the diameter of which is immeasurably higher than that of the first, and the piston performs harmonic oscillations. The mechanical harmonic influences described in the courses of theoretical mechanics correspond to the source of the force. Four modes are described — resonances and antiresonances of forces and velocities. The use of the symbolic (complex) method has significantly simplified the study of resonance and near-resonance phenomena, in particular, it has made it possible to deeply unify and formalize the consideration of various mechanical systems. The cumbersome and time-consuming operations associated with the preparation and solution of differential equations have been replaced by simple algebraic transformations. Resonance and antiresonance of forces, resonance and antiresonance of velocities are determined.

Purpose. To understand how the technology of electronic prescription (e Rx) can transform the community pharmacist’s role through its effects on professionalization. We define professionalization as a pharmaceutical practice centred on clinical activities and made possible by the establishment of professional pharmaceutical services. Methods. We asked 12 community pharmacists who had participated in an e Rx pilot project in the Canadian province of Quebec to fill out a qualitative survey on their experience. We then analyzed the pharmacists’ perceptions of this new technology using a conceptual framework based on the Davenport typology that presents an exhaustive list of mechanisms, specific to Information Technologies, and thus e-Rx, that can potentially modify information management process and then the role of pharmacists. Results. The pharmacists identified five main mechanisms by which e Rx could affect the professionalization of community pharmacists: analytical capabilities of the pharmacist and physician, dissemination of knowledge, integration of process tasks, process automation and elimination of intermediaries. These mechanisms can assist pharmacists in exercising their professional judgement by improving the quality of available information and facilitate the execution of prescriptions by improving the quality of orders. E Rx technology can also strengthen pharmacists’ credibility as medication specialists in the eyes of both patients and physicians. Thus, e Rx can become a collaborative technology to the extent that it improves collaboration between community pharmacists and prescribing physicians. However, the potential benefits of this technology would appear to depend on its characteristics and how prescribing physicians use it. Conclusions. E-Rx proposes ways of working and communicating that were previously unimaginable. These new possibilities pave the way for transformations that can significantly increase the professionalization of community pharmacists. The results of this study indicate that community pharmacists have a favourable opinion of e Rx, believing it can be an ally in their professionalization.

Industry is going through a transformation phase, enabling automation and data exchange in manufacturing technologies and processes, and this transformation is called Industry 4.0. Industrial Internet-of-Things (IIoT) applications require real-time processing, near-by storage, ultra-low latency, reliability and high data rate, all of which can be satisfied by fog computing architecture. With smart devices expected to grow exponentially, the need for an optimized fog computing architecture and protocols is crucial. Therein, efficient, intelligent and decentralized solutions are required to ensure real-time connectivity, reliability and green communication. In this paper, we provide a comprehensive review of methods and techniques in fog computing. Our focus is on fog infrastructure and protocols in the context of IIoT applications. This article has two main research areas: In the first half, we discuss the history of industrial revolution, application areas of IIoT followed by key enabling technologies that act as building blocks for industrial transformation. In the second half, we focus on fog computing, providing solutions to critical challenges and as an enabler for IIoT application domains. Finally, open research challenges are discussed to enlighten fog computing aspects in different fields and technologies.

The need to promptly identify problems with the simultaneous production of the necessary corrective actions, which are aimed at optimizing the productivity of the entire production system, justifies the relevance of the study of the effectiveness of the introduction of industry 4.0 technologies in industry. The article provides a review of analytical studies of the concept of "industry 4.0" in foreign scientific literature to identify characteristics and distinguish from related concepts, such as "4th Industrial Revolution", "cyberphysical systems", "Internet of Things". The main key factors for the success of digitalization are people, strategy, technologies that will allow the development of intelligent algorithms to improve operational efficiency; contribute to the efficient use of resources, reduce product quality costs, introduce automation; contribute to increasing the efficiency and productivity of operations. The main directions of the impact of Industry 4.0 technologies proposed by the Boston Consulting Company on the efficiency of production systems are presented. It is concluded that the use of digital technologies in industry 4.0 makes it possible for large-scale technological transformation of production and is aimed at increasing the innovative potential of industrial enterprises.

The article describes a number of highly promising areas for today in the development of agriculture in the world and the Belarusian agro-industrial complex. The main attention is paid to the development of precision animal husbandry technologies in the republic, as the most important component in the digital transformation of domestic agricultural production with its most developed livestock segment, and especially the dairy sector. An overview of some important software products, information systems, and other digital solutions that are essential for the effective functioning of the livestock industry of the republic is given. Some landmark developments, examples of the introduction of elements of precision animal husbandry, automation systems, information and analytical systems in agriculture of the republic, which are actively involved in a number of organizations of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and especially scientific and practical centers, research institutes of the Department of Agrarian Sciences of the National Academy of Sciences, as well as other domestic organizations of various forms of ownership. The benefits obtained by farmers from the use of various digital solutions in the fi eld of animal husbandry are discussed.

The geological industry of Kazakhstan is transiting to CRIRSCO, the international system of reporting standards for mineral reserves. In view of the set tasks, the problem of adjusting the geological and economic assessment of deposits is being updated in order to adapt it to the international requirements and to increase accessibility and transparency for a potential external investor. This research has been carried out on the basis of the Kazakhmys Corporation LLС, the largest international company engaged in exploring, mining and processing of various minerals. The authors of this paper have made an attempt to expand the geological and economic assessment of the enterprise by digitizing the key business processes. On the basis of the formed factual database of the geological and economic indicators and characteristics of the stratiform pyrite-copper-lead-zinc deposit Kusmuryn, which is part of the Kazakhmys Corporation LLС, the economic indicators of extracting associated components have been calculated. Digital transformation is a key area of technological development of the mining industry in Kazakhstan for the coming years. In this regard, automation of calculating the geological and economic assessment of the investigated field will allow the company not only to reduce investment and operating costs, but also to deepen the internal analytical work to monitor the effectiveness of the applied digital solutions. Transformation of the economy of Kazakhstan presupposes state support for promising regions. The article shows that transition of the Kusmuryn deposit to underground mining in the medium term will accelerate the solution of pressing regional problems and remove social tension in the monotowns adjacent to the deposit. In order to strengthen its position in the global economy, Kazakhstan strives to achieve socio-economic goals in the field of sustainable development. It has been established that changing the method of production and automation of business processes of the Kazakhmys Corporation LLС will have a positive effect on the energy efficiency due to more rational use of available technologies. The research will improve the validity of predictive management decisions to strengthen the financial and economic situation and the international positions of the mining and smelting enterprise.

Formerly based on empirical knowledge, casting is now inseparable from a scientific approach. Numerical simulation is commonly used to predict and understand the behaviour of alloys and moulds. Even if models used in software are accurate, one of the main difficulties in obtaining good results is the lack of databases. Among the needed data, the knowledge of interfacial thermal properties is one of the most significant in permanent moulding. Indeed, the cooling and solidification of the alloy are controlled by the interfacial behaviour with the mould and impact directly on the microstructure and on the formation of defects (shrinkage…). In die casting thermal conductivity at the interface is controlled by the use of different kinds and thicknesses of coatings. The fact that coatings are used in thin layers and the existence of bonding resistance increase the lack of accuracy of the data. So it appears necessary to be able to determine quickly and easily the HTC for different materials, thicknesses and process parameters. In industrial conditions it is difficult to control and reproduce the coatings. It is also important to be able to measure the HTC directly in the workshop. Many results concerning these problems are available in the literature, but very few able to quickly lead to reliable results. The experimental device which is proposed in the present study allows the determination of the HTC. The design of the software was done to allow the full automation of measurements and calculations in the experiment. Analytical calculation of the HTC is not sufficient to give relevant results due to the phase transformations, so an indirect numerical solution based on Beck’s method has been introduced with the development of a finite difference thermal solver. The three dimensional solver was designed to take into account the heat loss (radiation and convection) and the nonlinearity of thermal equations. Calculations performed from the results of experimental casting temperatures show good match and stability.

Human resource management (HRM), as well as the management of any other business area becomes dependent on global digitalization and undergoes attendant changes. The need to search for new digital solutions in HR sphere, analysis of the principles of adaptation of existing methods of automation of human resource management processes demonstrate the relevance of the research. The purpose of the article is to assess modern state and further prospects of usage different digital-tools in HRM in national companies. The objectives of the present research: to determine whether companies really need to digitalize HR processes, to evaluate the rate of usage of automated services in HR, to analyze the most popular HR tools and to assess the applicability for different companies, to identify the correlation between the level of digitalization of companies and human capital. Materials and methods. General theoretical, empirical and statistical methods of assessing information are used in the article. The data available in the current scientific and periodical literature, as well as in fundamental works in the field of personnel management, are systematized. The research work relies on information provided in open sources that contains a set of information and analytical reports of companies, including their analysis and interpretation. Results. As the result of the research the number of key features of the current state of HR digitalization was identified. A comparative analysis of modern automation systems for personnel selection is presented and an assessment of their technological functionality is carried out. The rate of applicability of the most popular tools in HRM for different companies and the factors affecting the company’s choice of a particular HR software tool was determined. Conclusion. The work revealed that the digital transformation of HR processes is at the stage of formation; however, the modern conditions of informatization of society are quite favorable for the transition of companies to digital HR. The exceptions are companies with a small headcount (up to 100 people), the digitalization of which, will not be economically feasible. An analytical review of a number of relevant studies has shown that most domestic companies have high hopes for digital HR. Nevertheless, there are practically no firms on the market that have managed to completely digitize the entire set of HR processes. In addition, the study made it possible to formulate conclusions about the presence of a high correlation between the dependence of firms on human capital and the scale of their use of digital HR tools.

This paper proposes a novel method to achieve the automatic registration of optical images and Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) points in urban areas. The whole procedure, which adopts a coarse-to-precise registration strategy, can be summarized as follows: Coarse registration is performed through a conventional point-feature-based method. The points needed can be extracted from both datasets through a matured point extractor, such as the Forster operator, followed by the extraction of straight lines. Considering that lines are mainly from building roof edges in urban scenes, and being aware of their inaccuracy when extracted from an irregularly spaced point cloud, an "infinitesimal feature analysis method" fully utilizing LiDAR scanning characteristics is proposed to refine edge lines. Points which are matched between the image and LiDAR data are then applied as guidance to search for matched lines via the line-point similarity invariant. Finally, a transformation function based on extended collinearity equations is applied to achieve precise registration. The experimental results show that the proposed method outperforms the conventional ones in terms of the registration accuracy and automation level.

This paper introduces a robust method for panoramic unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) image mosaic. In the traditional automatic panoramic image stitching method (Autostitch), it assumes that the camera rotates about its optical centre and the group of transformations the source images may undergo is a special group of homographies. It is rare to get such ideal data in reality. In particular, remote sensing images obtained by UAV do not satisfy such an ideal situation, where the images may not be on a plane yet and even may suffer from nonrigid changes, leading to poor mosaic results. To overcome the above mentioned challenges, in this paper a nonrigid matching algorithm is introduced to the mosaic system to generate accurate feature matching on remote sensing images. We also propose a new strategy for bundle adjustment to make the mosaic system suitable for the UAV image panoramic mosaic effect. Experimental results show that our method outperforms the traditional method and some of the latest methods in terms of visual effect.

In the process of collaborative operation, the unloading automation of the forage harvester is of great significance to improve harvesting efficiency and reduce labor intensity. However, non-standard transport trucks and unstructured field environments make it extremely difficult to identify and properly position loading containers. In this paper, a global model with three coordinate systems is established to describe a collaborative harvesting system. Then, a method based on depth perception is proposed to dynamically identify and position the truck container, including data preprocessing, point cloud pose transformation based on the singular value decomposition (SVD) algorithm, segmentation and projection of the upper edge, edge lines extraction and corner points positioning based on the Random Sample Consensus (RANSAC) algorithm, and fusion and visualization of results on the depth image. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed method has been verified by field experiments with different trucks. The results demonstrated that the identification accuracy of the container region is about 90%, and the absolute error of center point positioning is less than 100 mm. The proposed method is robust to containers with different appearances and provided a methodological reference for dynamic identification and positioning of containers in forage harvesting.

Research background: In the era of the digital revolution, the Internet, automation and robotisation, new industrial relations and dynamic interactions among different stakeholders are giving rise to new opportunities and challenges. The changes associated with the enforcement of the ?Industry 4.0? concept require adaptation to these developments at different levels of the economy and society in order to support digital transformation. Purpose of the article: The aim of this paper is to measure and assess the impact of digital transformation on European countries (EU). The comparative analysis of technological development in EU countries includes three dimensions: the digitalisation of society (Society 4.0), the ability of the economy to face the challenges of technological development (Economy 4.0), as well as the exploitation of ICT in companies (Companies 4.0). Methods: The empirical section of the article was built on a two-stage analytical approach: (a) cluster analysis methods to assess differences and similarities between EU countries (Hierarchical Cluster and K-Means Cluster) and (b) the multi-criteria decision-making method (TOPSIS) to rank countries according to the adopted evaluation criteria. For the purposes of this analysis, data from the Eurostat database have been applied. Findings & value added: The results of this analysis demonstrate the impact of technological transformation on the economy and society in EU countries grouped according to a similar level of development, such as countries with high, medium and low performance. This has contributed to indicating the cohesion in technological development achieved by each country group and to recognising the digitalisation gap between EU Member States. The novelty of this study consists in applying the multi-stage, multi-criteria analysis based on cluster analysis and the TOPSIS method, as well as the comparative analysis of the impact of technological developments on the societies and economies of EU countries. This paper extends similar studies by focusing on the application of a broad range of indicators regarding a holistic perspective including three dimensions: societies, economies and companies. The results provide valuable insights into evaluating the technological progress in European countries.

The groundbreaking transformations triggered by the Industry 4.0 paradigm have dramatically reshaped the requirements for control and communication systems within the factory systems of the future. The aforementioned technological revolution strongly affects industrial smart and distributed measurement systems as well, pointing to ever more integrated and intelligent equipment devoted to derive accurate measurements. Moreover, as factory automation uses ever wider and complex smart distributed measurement systems, the well-known Internet of Things (IoT) paradigm finds its viability also in the industrial context, namely Industrial IoT (IIoT). In this context, communication networks and protocols play a key role, directly impacting on the measurement accuracy, causality, reliability and safety. The requirements coming both from Industry 4.0 and the IIoT, such as the coexistence of time-sensitive and best effort traffic, the need for enhanced horizontal and vertical integration, and interoperability between Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT), fostered the development of enhanced communication subsystems. Indeed, established technologies, such as Ethernet and Wi-Fi, widespread in the consumer and office fields, are intrinsically non-deterministic and unable to support critical traffic. In the last years, the IEEE 802.1 Working Group defined an extensive set of standards, comprehensively known as Time Sensitive Networking (TSN), aiming at reshaping the Ethernet standard to support for time-, mission- and safety-critical traffic. In this paper, a comprehensive overview of the TSN Working Group standardization activity is provided, while contextualizing TSN within the complex existing industrial technological panorama, particularly focusing on industrial distributed measurement systems. In particular, this paper has to be considered a technical review of the most important features of TSN, while underlining its applicability to the measurement field. Furthermore, the adoption of TSN within the Wi-Fi technology is addressed in the last part of the survey, since wireless communication represents an appealing opportunity in the industrial measurement context. In this respect, a test case is presented, to point out the need for wirelessly connected sensors networks. In particular, by reviewing some literature contributions it has been possible to show how wireless technologies offer the flexibility necessary to support advanced mobile IIoT applications.

AbstractAn artificial intelligence (AI) algorithm to automate symbolic design reformulation is an enduring challenge in design automation. Existing research shows that design tools either require high levels of knowledge engineering or large databases of training cases. To address these limitations, we present a singular value decomposition (SVD) and unsupervised clustering-based method that performs design reformulation by acquiring semantic knowledge from the syntax of design representations. The development of the method was analogically inspired by applications of SVD in statistical natural language processing and digital image processing. We demonstrate our method on an analytically formulated hydraulic cylinder design problem and an aeroengine design problem formulated using a nonanalytic design structure matrix form. Our results show that the method automates various design reformulation tasks on problems of varying sizes from different design domains, stated in analytic and nonanalytic representational forms. The behavior of the method presents observations that cannot be explained by pure symbolic AI approaches, including uncovering patterns of implicit knowledge that are not readily encoded as logical rules, and automating tasks that require the associative transformation of sets of inputs to experiences. As an explanation, we relate the structure and performance of our algorithm with findings in cognitive neuroscience, and present a set of theoretical postulates addressing an alternate perspective on how symbols may interact with each other in experiences to reify semantic knowledge in design representations.

Annotation Purpose.Establishing the main directions of development of technical means for the preparation of feed for the current state of development of technology in Ukraine and the world. Methods.Monographic, analytical, systematic analysis of the transformation of technical objects and technological processes of harvesting and storage of stem feeds and prospects for their development. Results. Prospects for the development of dairy farming in Ukraine are identified, the main machines for stem fodder harvesting are identified, the characteristics of domestic and foreign production machines are analyzed, their differences are determined, examples of innovative developments in some types of technical means for fodder harvesting are given. Conclusions. Feed harvesting machines produced by Ukrainian producers do not meet the needs of milk producers with more than 120–150 cows, are produced irregularly, in separate batches. Domestic manufacturers of machines for forage harvesting do not produce the entire list of necessary machines. Only the simplest machines of low productivity are issued, use of means of automation of the executed processes is absent. Based on the research of NSC “IAEE”, some samples of innovative forage harvesters and their promising working bodies have been developed and tested. In most types of machines there are noticeable signs of modularity, unification. To provide livestock producers with feed preparation machines, it is necessary to organize (program) the production of standard-sized rows of modular machines agreed with each other on productivity (working speed, width of capture) in accordance with the available energy resources. The subject/topic. The article outlines a number of scientific approaches of leading modern scientists, specialists and managers of operating enterprises of the Russian agro-industrial complex to the strategic planning of innovations in the agro-industrial complex as a whole, and the emphasis is on the digitalization of the agricultural sphere. It reflects the current trends in the state of the regional agro-industrial complex of the North Caucasus Federal District, which, due to the slowdown in the growth of economic indicators, currently does not allow more actively solving the existing systemic problems. Goals. The aim of the work was to substantiate the need for strategic planning of the development of the regional agro-industrial complex based on the analysis of theoretical approaches, to identify practical factors that hinder or slow the development of digitalization in the agricultural sphere of the region, to develop proposals on the priority of state regulation that will contribute to the speedy transition of the agro-industrial complex to modern intensive digital technologies of production, organization and management. Methodology. The methodological basis of the study was the data of the Federal State Statistics Service of Russia, analytical data of scientific publications, as well as scientific research of scientists and leading specialists working in the digital sphere and in agricultural production. The methods of logical and statistical analysis, dynamic series, empirical approaches were used, on the basis of which conclusions were drawn and the directions of their exit from the current situation in the agro-industrial complex of the region were determined. Results. The study showed that in order to activate the industry and introduce digital technologies, it is necessary to have prerequisites, expressed in state coordination of actions of ministries and departments on the formation and improvement of rural infrastructure, training of senior and middle-level personnel, creating jobs in rural areas, as well as a favorable economic environment for efficient production activities of farms, the development of standards for consistent automation and achievement by agricultural enterprises of the level of accurate digital production and organization of activities. The scope of the results. The results obtained can be used by regional state authorities to improve the ongoing transformations in the field of digitalization of the agro-industrial complex. Conclusions/significance. Informatization and digitalization of agriculture and other areas of the agro-industrial complex should be considered not as an independent direction of its development, but as a large set of measures based on state financial, regulatory and coordination support. In order to ensure the breakthrough development of the regional agro-industrial complex, it is necessary that the priority of the agricultural sphere for state policy should be the strategic direction, and, based on the principles of consistency and regularity, mechanisms for the introduction of domestic scientific developments in the field of IT and technological processes and equipment with the solution of the identified problems should be implemented. Application. The results obtained can be used by regional state authorities to improve the ongoing transformations in the field of digitalization of the agro-industrial complex.

Cooperative perception, or collective perception (CP), is an emerging and promising technology for intelligent transportation systems (ITS). It enables an ITS station (ITS-S) to share its local perception information with others by means of vehicle-to-X (V2X) communication, thereby achieving improved efficiency and safety in road transportation. In this paper, we present our recent progress on the development of a connected and automated vehicle (CAV) and intelligent roadside unit (IRSU). The main contribution of the work lies in investigating and demonstrating the use of CP service within intelligent infrastructure to improve awareness of vulnerable road users (VRU) and thus safety for CAVs in various traffic scenarios. We demonstrate in experiments that a connected vehicle (CV) can “see” a pedestrian around the corners. More importantly, we demonstrate how CAVs can autonomously and safely interact with walking and running pedestrians, relying only on the CP information from the IRSU through vehicle-to-infrastructure (V2I) communication. This is one of the first demonstrations of urban vehicle automation using only CP information. We also address in the paper the handling of collective perception messages (CPMs) received from the IRSU, and passing them through a pipeline of CP information coordinate transformation with uncertainty, multiple road user tracking, and eventually path planning/decision-making within the CAV. The experimental results were obtained with manually driven CV, fully autonomous CAV, and an IRSU retrofitted with vision and laser sensors and a road user tracking system.
