The Long-Term Credit Bank (LTCB) of Japan underwent a very traumatic reorganization beginning in 1998 following Japans economic collapse in 1989. The bank was beset with difficulties rooted in bad debts. Possible mergers with domestic banks were proposed, but the bank eventually was sold to an international group, which set about putting the bank back together, launching it in June 2000 as Shinsei Bank, Limited (Shinsei).

This work is focused on the problem of designing efficient reconfigurable multiplexer banks for RAM-based implementations of reconfigurable state machines. We propose a new architecture (called combination-based reconfigurable multiplexer bank, CRMUX) that use multiplexers simpler than that of the state-of-the-art architecture (called variation-based reconfigurable multiplexer bank, VRMUX). The performance (in terms of speed, area and reconfiguration cost) of both architectures is compared. Experimental results from MCNC finite state machine (FSM) benchmarks show that CRMUX is faster and more area-efficient than VRMUX. The reconfiguration cost of both multiplexer banks is studied using a behavioral model of a reconfigurable state machine. The results show that the reconfiguration cost of CRMUX is lower than that of VRMUX in most cases.

AbstractDoes a financial system architecture anchored on banks perform better than one centered on markets in fostering technological innovations as engines of growth? In a panel of industrial sectors across a large cross section of countries, I find that while market-based systems have a general positive effect on innovations in all economic sectors, bank-based systems foster more rapid technological progress in more information-intensive industrial sectors, suggesting a heterogeneous impact of financial architecture. Thus, the relative performance of bank-based systems vis-à-vis market-based systems depends on the industrial structure of the economy.

The article is devoted to the architecture of European banking institutions in Guangzhou, built on the territory of Shamyan island in the late 19th – early 20th century. A brief historical excursion into the history of the formation of the British and French concessions is given. This publication examines the stylistic and compositional features of the architecture of such banking institutions as: Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation; The Chartered Bank of India, Australia and China; International banking corporation (City Bank); Bank of Taiwan; Commercial Corporation of Mitsubishi; Yokogama Specie Bank; The E.D.Sassoon & Co.Ltd. и D. Sassoon Sons Co. Ltd; Bank of Indochina; China & France Industry Bank. A composite and stylistic analysis was conducted, an iconographic description of the buildings of the main banks located within the boundaries of the former European concessions on Shamyan Island is given The study reveals the general principles of the development of the architecture of banking institutions in Guangzhou. The materials and results of the research carried out by the authors of this article allowed us to formulate the following conclusions: 1. The territorial isolation of the Shamyan island from the Chinese part of Guangzhou, as well as the operation within the concessions of British and French laws, contributed to the fact that the development of the architectural ensemble of the island as a whole was carried out in line with the advanced West European architectural and urban trends. 2. Most of the banking buildings here are built in the eclectic style with the predominance of neoclassicism features, of course, this fact is connected with the desire of the owners of bank corporations to demonstrate to the clients and competitors the financial strength of their organizations. 3. In the architecture of the considered banking institutions there is an active use of tectonics and elements of the order system, colonnades, arcades, the allocation of the first floor in the form of a rustic plinth. The motifs of Renaissance architecture, Baroque and Art Nouveau are also traced. 4. The formation of the appearance of banking buildings in Shamyan was strongly influenced by local conditions. The hot and humid subtropical climate of the south of China contributed to the spread in the architecture of the structures of this type of order colonnades, forming deep open verandas, as well as the use of X-shaped creaks-elements to ensure the natural ventilation of buildings, which, in addition, became an expressive element of the facade decoration

In 1980, Andrew Saint told members of the Victorian Society that the Arts and Crafts architect Horace Field (1861-1948) was ‘frequently referred to but rarely discussed’. Thirty years later the situation is largely unchanged. Yet Field played an influential role in the architectural development of the twentieth-century English and Welsh high street. He was a significant figure in the process by which the architectural styles of bank premises were, by the late 1920s, transformed from ones very similar to those of commercial or municipal offices into a distinct and domestic interpretation of the style of Queen Anne. His contribution was two-fold: as the designer of a series of branches of Lloyds Bank, and as co-author (with his former assistant, Michael Bunney) of the widely read English Domestic Architecture of the XVII and XVIII Centuries, published in 1905.

According to the classic view of architecture, its primary function is to create spatial law and order so as to improve the functioning of man in the architectural environment. Classical works on the theory of architecture focused on those qualities that portrayed architecture as having a clearly positive dimension, the pursuit of which should be the primary task of an architect. Is it true, however, that architecture has only one common meaning? This assertion is undermined by buildings constructed on borderlands, which are imposed on one community by another. An example is the wall being erected by Israel since 2002 to separate the state from the West Bank. While it has become a symbol of security and order for the Israelis, it is an emblem of enslavement and chaos for the Palestinians who have been trapped on the other side of the barrier.

Abstract: This study aimed to analyze the soundness of one of the Islamic banks in Indonesia, namely PT. Bank BTPN Syariah Tbk. This study is descriptive research with a quantitative approach. The data used is secondary data obtained from the annual financial statements of Bank BTPN Syariah for the period 2016-2020. The analytical technique used is the CAMELS, RGEC and Altman Z-Score methods. The overall study results show that the health of Bank BTPN Syariah in the period 2016-2020 is at the 'Very Healthy' level on the CAMELS assessment, while the RGEC assessment shows the 'Very Healthy' level and the 'Healthy' rating on the Altman Z-Score assessment. The excellent health condition of Bank BTPN Syariah during the Covid-19 pandemic was apparently inseparable from the management's efforts to carry out appropriate, focused and planned strategies and risk mitigation. The three analytical methods show similar results, so they can be used as a reference for calculating the health of other Islamic banks. Keywords: Bank Soundness Level; CAMELS; RGEC; Altman Z-Score. Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis tingkat Kesehatan salah satu Bank Syariah di Indonesia, yaitu PT. Bank BTPN Syariah tbk. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Data yang digunakan adalah data sekunder yang didapat dari laporan keuangan tahunan Bank BTPN Syariah periode 2016-2020. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah metode CAMELS, RGEC dan Altman Z-Score. Hasil penelitian secara keseluruhan memperlihatkan bahwa kesehatan Bank BTPN Syariah pada periode 2016-2020 berada pada tingkat ‘Sangat Sehat’ pada penilaian CAMELS, sedangkan penilaian RGEC menunjukkan tingkat ‘Sangat Sehat’ serta peringkat ‘Sehat’ pada penilaian Altman Z-Score. Kondisi kesehatan Bank BTPN Syariah yang baik pada masa pandemi Covid-19 ternyata tidak lepas dari usaha manajemen dalam melakukan strategi serta mitigasi risiko yang tepat, fokus dan terencana. Ketiga metode analisis menunjukkan hasil yang serupa sehingga dapat dijadikan acuan perhitungan untuk menilai kesehatan Bank Syariah yang lain. Kata Kunci: Tingkat Kesehatan Bank; CAMELS; RGEC; Altman Z-Score.

In Japan, the basics of living are described as three main elements; clothing, food, and shelter. These elements involve simple daily activities such as changing clothes in the morning, eating lunch, and sleeping at night. It may easily become a mundane topic since they are woven into our daily routines. Nevertheless, a moment in one's day may become joyful when we reconsider and play with the ordinary. The first trace of a dwelling in Japan is a pit shelter. People dug a circular pit in the ground, placed sticks vertically at the perimeter of the pit, and covered it with straws to make a roof. The dwelling protected people from the weather, animals and other tribes. The function of architecture may be as simple as that. Today, the purpose of making architecture is not dramatically different from the ancient times, yet the technology in our profession as well as in our daily routines have developed over thousands of years and changed the way of life. Today, one may easily get trapped in the graphical or stylish looks of architecture and ignore the fundamental reason to make architecture. Making architecture is quite an ordinary act. My intention for this thesis is to examine my daily activities and concerns and extract the essence of the Architecture that beautifully fulfills the function. I believe Architecture strongly influences people's experiences and feelings, and goal as a designer is to orchestrate spaces which will make one's ordinary day into an extraordinary one.

Border delineations and walls have been used to protect cities and towns throughout history. In the present age of modern surveillance and advanced military technology however, physical walls have much less significance for the protection of present-day states and nations and have become artifacts of mostly symbolic significance. In an increasingly connected world with the potential for becoming more compassionate, the symbolic significance of the border wall, barrier, and delineation demands to be reassessed and reapproached. This opens the possibility of designing a new binational border typology with functions of business, tourism, cultural education, hospitality, and public assembly that can mutually benefit bordering regions. The site of this thesis is the 1949 Armistice Agreement, or Green Line, on the perimeter of the West Bank of Palestine – a prolonged border conflict of our time and a powerful example of spatial injustice. Through a combination of ancient and modern materials, this thesis explores the potential of hospitality through the design of a roadside inn to recognize the history of its place and create a physical and symbolic bridge for future cooperation. In addition to lodging for travelers, the program incorporates a museum, artist workshops, dining areas, gift shops, and gathering spaces. Straddling the Green Line along the Dead Sea shoreline, it is designed to carry the memory of the land, but also to symbolize a future that joins divided communities.
Master of Architecture
This thesis looks at the problem of border delineations and walls within a modern context and proposes the use of borders for functions supplementary to border control and security – such as local commerce, cultural spaces, tourism, hospitality, and public gathering places. Border delineations and walls have been used to protect cities and towns throughout history. Many emerging applications call for wideband analog-to-digital converters and some require medium-to-high resolution. Incorporating such ADCs allows for shifting as much of the signal processing tasks as possible to the digital domain, where more flexible and programmable circuits are available. However, realizing such ADCs with the existing single stage architectures is very challenging. Therefore, parallel ADC architectures such as time-interleaved structures are used. Unfortunately, such architectures require high-speed high-precision sample-and-hold (S/H) stages that are challenging to implement. In this thesis, a parallel ADC architecture, namely, the frequency-translating hybrid ADC (FTH-ADC) is proposed to increase the conversion speed of the ADCs, which is also suitable for applications requiring medium-to-high resolution ADCs. This architecture addresses the sampling problem by sampling on narrowband baseband subchannels, i.e., sampling is accomplished after splitting the wideband input signals into narrower subbands and frequency-translating them into baseband where identical narrowband baseband S/Hs can be used. Therefore, lower-speed, lower-precision S/Hs are required and single-chip CMOS implementation of the entire ADC is possible. A proof of concept board-level implementation of the FTH-ADC is used to analyze the effects of major analog non-idealities and errors. Error measurement and compensation methods are presented. Using four 8-bit, 100 MHz subband ADCs, four 25 MHz Butterworth filters, two 64-tap FIR reconstruction filters, and four 10-tap FIR compensation filters, a total system with an effective sample rate of 200 MHz is implemented with an effective number of bits of at least 7 bits over the entire 100 MHz input bandwidth. In addition, one path of an 8-GHz, 4-bit, FTH-ADC system, including a highly-linear mixer and a 5th-order, 1 GHz, Butterworth Gm-C filter, is implemented in a 90 nm CMOS technology. Followed by a 4-bit, 4-GHz subband ADC, the blocks consume a total power of 52 mW from a 1.2 V supply, and occupy an area of 0.05 mm2. The mixer-filter has a THD ≤ 5% (26 dB) over its full 1 GHz bandwidth and provides a signal with a voltage swing of 350 mVpp for the subsequent ADC stage.

This publication reviews the history of digitalization of tax administration in Korea dating back to the 1990s and shares the countrys experience and know-how in building an efficient e-taxation architecture. Its main emphasis is on how the Korean government managed to make the best use of a wide range of taxpayer information efficiently and securely. It highlights information security and presents three case studies of an institutional framework for using third-party data: tax schemes for credit card usage, a cash receipt system, and e-invoicing. It then lays out a range of policy implications for consideration by tax authorities in the Latin American and Caribbean region.

Bendigo, where the traditional owners are the Dja Dja Wurrung people, has capitalised on its European historical roots. Its striking architecture owes much to its Gold Rush past which has also given it a diverse cultural heritage. The creative industries, while not well recognised as such, contribute well to the local economy. The many festivals, museums and library exhibitions attract visitors from the metropolitan centre of Victoria especially. The Bendigo Creative Industries Hub was a local council initiative while the Ulumbarra Theatre is located within the City’s 1860’s Sandhurst Gaol. Many festivals keep the city culturally active and are supported by organisations such as Bendigo Bank. The Bendigo Writers Festival, the Bendigo Queer Film Festival, The Bendigo Invention & Innovation Festival, Groovin the Moo and the Bendigo Blues and Roots Music Festival are well established within the community. A regional accelerator and Tech School at La Trobe University are touted as models for other regional Victorian cities. The city has a range of high quality design agencies, while the software and digital content sector is growing with embeddeds working in agriculture and information management systems. Employment in Film, TV and Radio and Visual Arts has remained steady in Bendigo for a decade while the Music and Performing Arts sector grew quite well over the same period.

Анотація:
In this article realization method of attacks and anomalies detection with the use of training of ordinary and attacking packages, respectively. The method that was used to teach an attack on is a combination of an uncontrollable and controlled neural network. In an uncontrolled network, attacks are classified in smaller categories, taking into account their features and using the self- organized map. To manage clusters, a neural network based on back-propagation method used. We use PyBrain as the main framework for designing, developing and learning perceptron data. This framework has a sufficient number of solutions and algorithms for training, designing and testing various types of neural networks. Software architecture is presented using a procedural-object approach. Because there is no need to save intermediate result of the program (after learning entire perceptron is stored in the file), all the progress of learning is stored in the normal files on hard disk.
