Este trabalho discute a violência contra as mulheres nos games. Evidencia ser este um campo de tensão, pois ao mesmo tempo em que cresce a participação feminina em competições e em iniciativas do setor, crescem também as manifestações contrárias à maior presença feminina num ambiente até pouco tempo atrás predominantemente masculino. Através do levantamento de dados quantitativos, análise de conteúdo e discussão de casos como o da ativista Anita Sarkeesian e da hashtag gamergate, observamos que a violência que se manifesta nos games é reflexo de uma cultura machista presente na indústria e em parte da comunidade gamer. Por outro lado, a antipatia de uma parcela do público masculino tem contribuído para a melhor organização das mulheres de iniciativas para buscar espaço no setor e fortalecer sua presença. Stage IIIA non–small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) remains a treatment challenge and requires a multidisciplinary care team to optimize survival outcomes. Thoracic surgeons play an important role in selecting operative candidates and assisting with pathologic mediastinal staging via cervical mediastinoscopy, endobronchial ultrasound, or esophageal ultrasound with fine needle aspiration. The majority of patients with stage IIIA disease will receive induction therapy followed by repeat staging before undergoing lobectomy or pneumonectomy; occasionally, a patient with an incidentally found, single-station microscopic IIIA tumor will undergo resection as the primary initial therapy. Multiple large clinical trials, including SWOG-8805, EORTC-8941, INT-0139, and ANITA, have shown 5-year overall survival rates of up to 30% to 40% using triple-modality treatments, and the best outcomes repeatedly are seen among patients who respond to induction treatment or who have tumors amenable to lobectomy instead of pneumonectomy. The need for a pneumonectomy is not a reason to deny patients an operation, because current operative mortality and morbidity rates are acceptably low at 5% and 30%, respectively. In select patients with stage IIIA disease, video-assisted thoracic surgery and open resections have been shown to have comparable rates of local recurrence and long-term survival. New developments in genetic profiling and personalized medicine are exciting areas of research, and early data suggest that molecular profiling of stage IIIA NSCLC tumors can accurately stratify patients by risk within this stage and predict survival outcomes. Future advances in treating stage IIIA disease will involve developing better systemic therapies and customizing treatment plans on the basis of an individual tumor's genetic profile.

A large proportion of cancer patients receiving outpatient chemotherapy and radiotherapy services are more than 70 years old. For this subgroup of patients, a general clinical evaluation may not be sufficient to determine an individual’s treatment strategy as there are other non-stand¬ard medical issues that concern the elderlies such as polypharmacy, the need for extra social care, and accessibility to information[1]. In addition, these patients also have increased risks of reduced mobility, as well as emotional and financial difficulties. Therefore, it is necessary to incorporate geriatric as-sessment (GA) into routine medical practice in order to improve individualized care[2,3]. Geriatric assessment is a comprehensive process that evaluates a senior patient’s medical, emotional, social and functional capacity[4]. In the current issue of AMOR, Louise Hogan and Anita O’Donovan from Trinity College Dublin evaluated the experience of elderly patients who used radiotherapy services in Ireland[5]. This was conducted through a number of questions directed at a focus group of elderly cancer patients, assessing different spheres of social dif-ficulties associated with undergoing radiotherapy in this age group. They found that it is important to focus on providing essential information to patients in a calm setting at an appropriate time. They also recommended establishing proper support groups for elderly patients receiving radi-otherapy, as well as encouraging one-to-one discus-sions between patients and members of the healthcare team regarding possible side effects of treatment. In conclusion, it is evident that specialist geriatric ser-vices within radiotherapy departments are a necessity, given the large number of elderly patients receiving radi-otherapy and the specificity of their medical and social needs. It is also believed that a treatment strategy based on a personalized GA for elderly patients will improve the overall treatment efficacy and minimize unwanted complications[6]. Abstract Background Exebacase (EXB), a recombinantly-produced lysin (cell wall hydrolase), is the first direct lytic agent to advance into Phase 3 of clinical development for the treatment of bacteremia including infective endocarditis due to Staphylococcus aureus. The microbiologic attributes of EXB, including pathogen-targeted rapid bacteriolysis, and biofilm eradication are distinct from and synergistic with those of traditional antibiotics and underpin the therapeutic potential for EXB. Methods The Phase 2 trial was a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled multinational study. Patients were randomized (2:1) to receive a single 2-hour infusion of EXB or placebo (PBO) in addition to standard of care antibiotics. Time to resolution of symptoms (shortness of breath, sweating, fatigue and confusion) attributable to the bacteremia was analyzed using Kaplan-Meier methods. Time to resolution was defined as the number of days until all attributable symptoms were absent. If a new (not present at baseline) attributable symptom was present before the baseline symptoms resolved, this new symptom also had to be absent for symptoms to be considered resolved. Results A total of 86 patients (53 EXB and 33 PBO) had at least one attributable symptom present at baseline. Of these, symptoms resolved in 94.3% and 87.9% of EXB and PBO patients, respectively. The median time to resolution was 3 days for EXB and 6 days for PBO patients. Median days to symptom resolution in the MRSA group was 3 and 7 days for EXB and PBO patients, respectively, and 3 and 5 days for EXB and PBO patients in the MSSA group, respectively. However, EXE patients achieved symptom resolution in 3 days compared with 6 days for PBO patients overall, and 7 days for PBO patients with MRSA. These data suggest that rapid bacteriolysis may translate to a clinical benefit for patients receiving EXB and aligns with a median length of hospital stay of 6 and 10 days among US MRSA patients that received EXE and PBO patients, respectively. Abstract Background Exebacase, a lysin (cell wall hydrolase), is the first direct lytic agent to report Phase 2 study results in Staphylococcus aureus bacteremia including endocarditis. Among MRSA patients enrolled in this randomized, double-blind, placebo, controlled study, EXE used in addition to standard of care antibiotics (SoC), had 42.8% higher clinical responder rates (CRRs) compared SoC alone. We sought to determine whether these differences in CRRs translated into reductions in health resource utilization (HRU) in this population of critically ill, hospitalized patients. Methods The microbiological intent-to-treat population included 116 patients (71 EXE, 45 SoC) with documented S. aureus who received a single 2-hour infusion of blinded study drug dosed based on target attainment. The primary efficacy endpoint was CRR at Day 14. Diagnoses and clinical outcomes were determined by a blinded Adjudication Committee. HRU including length of stay (LOS), and 30-day hospital readmission rates (HRR) for all causes (AC) and for S. aureus (SA) were evaluated in MRSA patients who were alive at the time of discharge. Results The average patient was white, male and ~56 years old (67.8%). Twenty-seven EXe patients (38.0%) and 16 SoC patients (35.6%) had MRSA. All but 2 MRSA patients (1 EXE, 1 SoC) were enrolled in the United States. The Day 14 CRR were 70.4% for EXE and 60.0% for SoC groups (p=0.314) overall. In a prespecified analysis of MRSA patients, the CRR with EXE was 74.1% vs. 31.3% with SoC (P = 0.010). Among MRSA patients who received study drug, incidence of treatment emergent adverse events (TEAEs) was balanced between groups (24 (88.9%) in EXE and 15 (98.3%) in SoC) as were serious TEAEs (17(63.0%) in EXE, 12 (75%) in SoC). 1 EXE and 2 SoC US MRSA patients died in hospital. Among US MRSA patients discharged alive from the hospital, the median LOS after study drug was 6 vs. 10 days for EXE and SoC, respectively. Thirty-day AC HRR were 16% vs. 30.8%, for EXE vs. SoC, respectively, and 30-day SA HRR were 8% vs. 15.4%, respectively. Conclusions Exebacase used in addition to SoC was associated with a reduction in length of hospital stay and 30-day readmission rates for all causes and for S. aureus compared with SoC alone in patients being treated for MRSA bacteremia/endocarditis. Anita Mazumdar Desai occupies a much privileged place in the Indian Writing in English. She is known as an acclaimed Indian woman novelist who deals with the psychological problems of her women characters. She was born in 24 June 1937 in Mussoorie. Her father D.N. Majumdar was a Bengali businessman and her mother Toni Nime was a German immigrant. Anita Desai is working as Emeritus John E. Buchard Professor of Humanities at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Anita Desai got a congenial environment to learn different languages in her own home and neighbourhood. She learnt Hindi from her neighbourhood. They used to speak German, Bengali, Urdu and English at their home. She learnt English at her school. She attended Queens Mary Higher Senior Secondary School in Delhi and she did her B.A. in 1957 from the Miranda House of the University of Delhi. So far is Anita Desai literary career is concerned, she wrote her first novel Cry, the Peacock in 1963. With the help of P. Lal, they founded the publishing firm Writers Workshop. Clear Light of Day (1980) is her most autobiographical work. Her novel In Custody was enlisted for the Booker Prize. She became a creative writing teacher at Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1993. When she published her novel Fasting Feasting and it won the Booker Prize in 1999, she came to the limelight. She was shortlisted for the Booker Prize three times in 1980, 1984 and 1999 for her novels Clear Light of Day (1980), In Custody (1984) and Fasting Feasting (1999) respectively. She received Padma Bhushan in 2014 also. She has received Sahitya Akademi Award in 1937 for her well-known novel Fire on the Mountain. The present paper analyses the central female protagonist Maya’s materialistic pursuits which turn in a great catastrophe for her in the novel Cry, the Peacock.

Purpose The following paper is a “Q&A interview” conducted by Joanne Pransky of Industrial Robot Journal as a method to impart the combined technological, business and personal experience of a prominent, robotic industry PhD and innovator regarding her pioneering efforts and the challenges of bringing a technological invention to market. This paper aims to discuss these issues. Design/methodology/approach The interviewee is Dr Maja Matarić, Chan Soon-Shiong Distinguished Professor in the Computer Science Department, Neuroscience Program, and the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Southern California, founding director of the USC Robotics and Autonomous Systems Center (RASC), co-director of the USC Robotics Research Lab and Vice Dean for Research in the USC Viterbi School of Engineering. In this interview, Matarić shares her personal and business perspectives on socially assistive robotics. Findings Matarić received her PhD in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence from MIT in 1994, MS in Computer Science from MIT in 1990 and BS in Computer Science from the University of Kansas in 1987. Inspired by the vast potential for affordable human-centered technologies, she went on to found and direct the Interaction Lab, initially at Brandeis University and then at the University of Southern California. Her lab works on developing human–robot non-physical interaction algorithms for supporting desirable behavior change; she has worked with a variety of beneficiary user populations, including children with autism, elderly with Alzheimer’s, stroke survivors and teens at risk for Type 2 diabetes, among others. Originality/value Matarić is a pioneer of the field of socially assistive robotics (SAR) with the goal of improving user health and wellness, communication, learning and autonomy. SAR uses interdisciplinary methods from computer science and engineering as well as cognitive science, social science and human studies evaluation, to endow robots with the ability to assist in mitigating critical societal problems that require sustained personalized support to supplement the efforts of parents, caregivers, clinicians and educators. Matarić is a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), Fellow of the IEEE and AAAI, recipient of the Presidential Awards for Excellence in Science, Mathematics & Engineering Mentoring (PAESMEM), the Anita Borg Institute Women of Vision Award for Innovation, Okawa Foundation Award, NSF Career Award, the MIT TR35 Innovation Award, the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society Early Career Award and has received many other awards and honors. She was featured in the science documentary movie “Me & Isaac Newton”, in The New Yorker (“Robots that Care” by Jerome Groopman, 2009), Popular Science (“The New Face of Autism Therapy”, 2010), the IEEE Spectrum (“Caregiver Robots”, 2010), and is one of the LA Times Magazine 2010 Visionaries. Matarić is the author of a popular introductory robotics textbook, “The Robotics Primer” (MIT Press 2007), an associate editor of three major journals and has published extensively.

Анотація:

This study aims to improve the ability to read the beginning of students by using the SUBACA Flash Card method for children in group B PAUD AL-ANISA Bentiring, Bengkulu City. This type of research is Classroom Action Research using two cycles, where each cycle is carried out in three meetings. Methods of collecting data in the form of observation and documentation. The results showed that there was an increase in reading the beginning of the child in each cycle with the average percentage of success in Cycle I was 47% and in the second cycle was 82.8%. It can be concluded that the method of playing SUBACA Flash Card is quite effective to be used to improve the ability to read the beginning in the children of group B PAUD AL-ANISA Bentiring, Bengkulu City.

Since the task of eliminating the consequences of a stroke remains unsolved, research on the use of robotic simulators equipped with feedback to restore upper limb motor functions is of particular relevance. Aim of the study was to conduct an experimental evaluation of the effectiveness of the use of the Anika sensory glove with biological feedback for the restoration of upper extremity motor function in the early period of ischemic stroke. Materials and methods. We analyzed 108 medical histories and selected 28 patients with a single history of stroke and moderate cognitive disorders, which were divided into 2 groups - control and experimental with 14 individuals each. Patients of the control group engaged in therapeutic physical culture according to the traditional methodology adopted in neurological practice and aimed at restoring muscle strength, passive and active movements of the upper extremity. Trainings using the sensory glove Anika with biological feedback were included in the therapeutic physical culture training program for the experimental group. Results. The inclusion of special exercises on the Anika simulator with biological feedback in a comprehensive physical rehabilitation program increases the effectiveness of the recovery process, contributing to improving articular mobility, reducing spasticity, increasing muscle strength of the hand, reducing the level of personal and situational anxiety, normalizing psychoemotional state and increasing the functional mobility of stroke patients. Conclusion. The use of the sensory glove Anika with biological feedback in the early recovery period contributed to the expansion of the motor activity of patients, the development of self-care skills, psychological and social adaptation.

At the end of a tumultuous two-year period framed by Anita Bryant's anti-gay campaign in South Florida and John Briggs' proposition to bar gay and lesbian educators from working in California public schools, reporters concluded, “Most homosexual teachers are deeply plagued by job anxiety.” That observation likely came as no surprise.

Abstrak Penggunaan media dalam pembelajaran, khususnya dalam pembelajaran bahasa asing dinilai sangat penting. Dalam bahasa Jepang terutama, dalam menangkap cara berbicara penutur asli dan untuk membiasakan diri. Dalam penelitian ini penulis mencoba untuk menggunakan media ‘Choukai ga Yowai, Anata e’ sebagai pembantu pembelajar untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menyimak atau choukai masing – masing pembelajar. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pembelajaran menyimak dengan menggunakan bantuan media buku ‘Choukai ga Yowai, Anata e’, perbedaan antara hasil pre test dan post test setelah pembelajaran, untuk mengetahui tanggapan dari masing – masing objek setelah diadakannya penelitan, mengolah data untuk mengetahui hasil dari penelitian dalam pembelajaran dengan menggunakan media pembelajaran ‘Choukai ga Yowai, Anata e’. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode penelitian kuasi, dengan objek yaitu mahasiswa tingkat III departemen pendidikan bahasa Jepang angkatan 2015 / 2016 sebanyak 20 orang. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes dan angket. Dari hasil penelitian yang didapatkan bahwa t hitung adalah 4,41> t tabel 2,10 untuk 5 % dan t hitung adalah 4,41 > t tabel 2,88 untuk 1%. t hitung > t tabel yang berarti Ha diterima. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan perolehan kemampuan choukai setelah menggunakan media buku ‘Choukai ga Yowai, Anata e’. Kemudian berdasarkan hasil angket yang didapatkan pula dapat diketahui bahwa objek merekomendasikan penggunaan media buku ini. Kata kunci : Choukai, Media, ‘Choukai ga Yowai, Anata e’ ABSTRACT The importance of media uses in educational fields are very significance. Especially, in Japanese language learning, the main objective of media uses is for understand the way of native speaker how to conversation with their languange and to improve our skills. In this time, writer has conducted an experiment with a media, its called ‘Choukai ga Yowai, Anata e’ to support and improve the listening skill of learners. The objective of experiments are to detect the differences between before (pretest) and after (postest) of the uses, to explain the feedbacks from the experiment objects, processing the data to understand the result after used the media at experimental class. Method that used on this experiment are quasi method experiment. With the objects are 20 students of third grade of Japanese Language Department, year study : 2015 – 2016. The used instruments are test form and questionnaire. From the result of experiments, are known that calculated t is 4,41> t table 2,10for 5 % and 4,41> t table 2,88 for 1 %. Calculated t > t table, the result, Ha areaccepted. Based on this result, its proved that significance difference of results after the objects used media of ‘Choukai ga Yowai, Anata e’. Alexandre de Afrodísia tratou claramente do Intellectu in habitu no De Anima e no De Intellectu. No De Anima, o intelecto em habitus é somente um depósito de conceitos latentes reunidos pelo intelecto potencial e, por isso, não cabe a ele a função de pensar ou abstrair. Já no De Intellectu, o Intellectu in habitu é considerado como uma faculdade plenamente desenvolvida, capaz de abstrair. Essa capacidade é dada pelo terceiro intelecto, chamado de Intelecto que “vem de fora” ou intelecto divino. Este artigo é favorável à interpretação do De Intellectu. Ele se apóia no fato de que o Intellectu in habitu é capaz de pensar porque recebe, por um lado, o conteúdo material dado pelo intelecto material ou potencial e, por outro lado, as formas inteligíveis dadas pelo intelecto divino.

Four uncommon bathyal thecate hydroids, Plicatotheca anitae Calder & Vervoort, 1986, Zygophylax africana Stechow,1923, Nemertesia falcicula (Ramil & Vervoort, 1992a) and Pseudoplumaria marocana (Billard, 1930), were collectedduring benthic surveys of the Cantabrian Sea and the Galicia Bank (Spain, northeastern Atlantic). Northern ranges of allfour are extended in the Atlantic Ocean. Elsewhere in the northeastern Atlantic, Plicatotheca anitae is known only fromthe Azores, while the nearest records of Nemertesia falcicula and Pseudoplumaria marocana are the Strait of Gibraltarand from a station northwest off Cape San Vicente in the south of Portugal, respectively. Zygophylax africana, known onlyfrom South Africa and Japan, is new to the European fauna and was obtained at an unusual depth. Each of the four species is described and illustrated, and their distributions and bathymetric ranges are revised.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap struktur ketaksadaran kolektif tokoh utama (Rei) dalam novel The Sweet Sins karya Rangga Wirianto Putra. Dalam analisis ini digunakan teori kepribadian Jung, yaitu konsep struktur ketaksadaran kolektif dalam jiwa manusia yang meliputi persona, anima-animus, shadow, dan self. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Dari analisis yang telah dilakukan, diperoleh hasil sebagai berikut. Pertama, tokoh Rei menggunakan persona sebagai cara untuk menyesuaikan diri di lingkungannya. Kedua, shadow dalam diri Rei merupakan pengalaman yang ditolak karena tidak sesuai dengan moral atau norma yang berlaku. Ketiga, tokoh Rei memproyeksikan anima dalam dirinya bukan kepada perempuan tetapi pada sesama laki-laki. Keempat, self dalam diri Rei ditunjukkan dalam bentuk perjuangan untuk mencapai keseimbangan taraf kesadaran dan ketaksadaran saat berpisah dengan pasangannya. Struktur ketaksadaran tokoh Rei memengaruhi kon ik yang terjadi dalam dirinya maupun dengan tokoh yang lain.

This paper examines the significance of Aristotelian desire (orexis) for the onto-genesis of Dasein as care (Sorge). In an early Marburg lecture course devoted to Aristotle, Grundbegriffe der aristotelischen Philosophie, Heidegger claims that Dasein is determined by two fundamental possibilities of movement; flight (phug!) and pursuit (airesis). Both possibilities reflect Aristotle’s exposition of orexis in De Anima and become appropriated by Heidegger to orient the primordial relation of Dasein to its thrown facticity. As the origin of movement in living beings, orexis sufficiently problematizes the ontological caesura separating Dasein from animality.

This article provides a spatial analysis of the types of microspaces, or Cultural Time Zones (CTZs), that constitute the narrative universes of chick lit from South Africa, China and India. I argue that although these books take place in ‘developing’ countries, their ‘First World’ spatial politics, and thus their political impact and cultural commentary, are both enabled and constrained by the settings of their narrative thrust. In the CTZ of the five-star hotel, or the elite spa, the books’ protagonists exemplify a popular notion of choice/neoliberal feminism. What, then, do they say about the possibility of feminism for confronting patriarchal traditions in CTZs like the ‘local’ neighbourhood? The three books analysed – Angela Makholwa’s Black Widow Society, Wei Hui’s Shanghai Baby and Anita Jain’s Marrying Anita: A Quest for Love in the New India – are set in the globalising cities of Johannesburg, Shanghai and Delhi in putatively ‘developing’ countries; however, the books’ female protagonists tend to inhabit a series of ‘global’, ‘First World’ CTZs, like the high-end shopping mall, the Western music-playing nightclub or the cappuccino-serving cafe. These CTZs are geographically distant from those of their Western chick lit counterparts, yet nonetheless not very far away if measured in cultural kilometres. The neoliberal, so-called feminist ‘choices’ available to these protagonists would not be possible in geographically proximate but culturally distant, ‘traditional’ CTZs. The key question this article asks is whether these narratives’ spatial settings, confined as they are to upper middle-class, ‘global’, ‘modern’ CTZs, produce a form of spatial politics that fem-washes global capitalism while failing to confront patriarchal and traditional structures which dominate in more ‘local’, ‘traditional’ CTZs.

Laserasi Jalan lahir adalah laserasi yang terjadi biasanya ringan tetapi seringkali juga terjadi laserasi yang luas dan berbahaya, untuk itu setelah persalinan harus di lakukan pemeriksaan vulva dan perineum. Perdarahan dalam keadaan dimana plasenta telah lahir lengkap dan kontraksi rahim baik, dapat di pastikan bahwa perdarahan tersebut berasal dari laserasi jalan lahir maka di lakukan dengan metode jelujur. Di Klinik/BP Anisa Mainan, pada tahun 2017 laserasi tingkat I sebanyak 84 persalinan atau 42,63 % dari 197 persalinan normal. Sedangkan tahun 2018 laserasi tingkat I sebanyak 96 persalinan atau 49,48 % dari 194 persalinan normal dan tahun 2019 masih meningkat yaitu laserasi tingkat I sebanyak 97 persalinan atau 53,00 % dari 183 persalinan normal. Tujuan untuk mengetahui pelaksanaan penjahitan dengan metode jelujur pada laserasi jalan lahir tingkat I sebagai upaya untuk pencegahan perdarahan pada ibu bersalin di Klinik/BP Anisa Mainan tahun 2020. Penelitian menggunakan metode action research dengan tujuan utama pelaksanaan kegiatan atau tindakan perbaikan sesuatu yang perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasinya. Populasi penelitian adalah semua ibu bersalin yang berkunjung di Klinik/BP Anisa Mainan berjumlah 35 responden. Sampel menggunakan accidendal sampling, pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara menggunakan cek list dan wawancara yaitu 10 responden. Hasil analisa dalam bentuk narasi di dapatkan 10 responden yang standar pelaksanaan penjahitan metode jelujur pada laserasi jalan lahir tingkat I, dan 8 responden setelah di lakukan penjahitan tidak terjadi perdarahan hanya 2 responden yang mengalami perdarahan akibat kontraksi uterus tidak baik. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian di harapkan bagi pasien setelah di lakukan penjahitan agar bermobilisasi dini dan agar dapat melakukan perawatan luka penjahitan dan bagi petugas kesehatan dapat tetap meningkatkan mutu kerja yang baik

Penelitian ini mengkaji tentang penerapan salah satu konsep dalam kalkulus, yaitu turunan, yang merupakan hasil bagi diferensial. Turunan erat hubungannya dengan diferensial. Jika akan menentukan turunan dari suatu fungsi, maka yang perlu dilakukan adalah melakukan pendiferensialan fungsi tersebut. Fokus permasalahan dalam penelitian ini tentang aplikasi turunan dalam permasalahan analisis keuntungan maksimum dan cara membuat interpretasi dari solusi hasil turunan tersebut. Penelitian ini berlokasi di Perusahaan Istana Roti ANITA Kalianget-Sumenep. Pendekatan penelitiannya menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Jenis datanya adalah data kuantitatif dan sumber datanya adalah buku laporan tahunan neraca keuangan. Metode pengumpulan datanya dengan observasi dan dokumentasi. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah persiapan, tabulasi, dan aplikasi turunan dalam memaksimumkan keuntungan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa: 1) langlah-langkah untuk mengaplikasikan turunan dalam permasalahan analisis keuntungan maksimum adalah: a) merumuskan beberapa variabel. b) menyusun model matematika. c) menyelesaikan model matematikanya. 2) Perusahaan tersebut mengalami keuntungan maksimum, karena hasil penurunan kedua adalah negatif untuk semua jenis roti.

Hacia la segunda mitad de los años ochenta empezaron a surgir, en Guatemala, iniciativas de mujeres interesadas en hablar en nombre propio, creando espacios autónomos para hacer un cuestionamiento a la desigualdad entre géneros que tiene efectos negativos en las vidas de las mujeres. En estos tres lustros, el perfil del movimiento de mujeres ha ido transformándose hasta convertirse en un movimiento amplio, polifónico y diverso. Las mujeres guatemaltecas han hecho aportes importantes a la construcción de la democracia destacando su creciente participación en el ámbito político, sea como candidatas, votantes y, como se anota en el presente artículo, proponiendo y discutiendo sus reivindicaciones cara a cara con las y los postulantes a puestos de elección.

Like many humanists of the late fifteenth century, Cristoforo Landino (1425-1498) came to consider himself not only a rhetorician but a speculative philosopher as well. Like many of these same humanists, Landino would not allow himself to peddle the merely fashionable: he pretended that he had been drinking from philosophical founts since his youth. In his dialogue De anima, completed about 1471, Landino suggested that from the early 1450s he not only was receiving systematic training in natural philosophy from Carlo Marsuppini but also was learning some Plato from the teenager Marsilio Ficino.

DOI: https://doi.org/10.14746/ikps.2019.24.04 The article presents a discussion on the importance of early therapeutic interactions for the development of a child at risk of disability or with a disability and his/her family. It indicates the importance of the time of taking action in relation to a child with developmental disorder for the period from birth to the age of three years. The article pays special attention to the place of early intervention and early support in the development process, its preventive, compensatory and corrective role. It describes barriers to the development of this system in Poland and points to potential solutions to these difficulties.

La siguiente investigación centra su atención en la realidad del Uruguay post-crisis financiera de principios de siglo XXI -año 2002-. Frente a la depresión que se vivió en ese momento en la región nos interesa el impulso que el país toma para su recuperación, lanzándose a nuevos mercados extraregionales, con el fin de reactivar la industria de la construcción y promover el desarrollo inmobiliario de nuevos productos. De cara a esta situación tres ciudades cobran relevancia en el territorio uruguayo: Montevideo, Colonia y Punta del Este. En tal contexto, Punta del Este representa uno de los vitales polos de inversión y desarrollo. La región sur del país, integrada por dichas ciudades, conforma un sector del eje metropolitano del Cono Sur ubicado sobre la costa atlántica desde Buenos Aires hasta San Pablo. Esta área es la más internacionalizada y globalizada del territorio uruguayo y ofrece un gran potencial de desarrollo futuro, exponiéndose notoriamente a grandes transformaciones, especialmente Maldonado-Punta del Este como centro dinámico y privilegiado del turismo internacional, y Colonia debido a su paulatina integración a la dinámica metropolitana de Buenos Aires así como por su alto nivel de calidad de vida. Desde los años 70, momento en que el balneario turístico consolidó gran parte de su infraestructura edilicia -fundamentalmente residencial-, no se habíavuelto a vivir tanto optimismo en cuanto al desarrollo inmobiliario y turístico en Punta del Este. Es a partir del año 2005, pasado ciertamente el letargo de lacrisis, que la ciudad toma fuerza e instaura su récord histórico en cuanto a las autorizaciones otorgadas por parte de las administraciones locales para laconstrucción de 800.000 metros cuadrados, inversión que se valora en 500.000.000 de dólares, procedente en su mayoría de capitales internacionales extraregionales.

Neste artigo, analisamos movimentos de entrada executados por determinados artistas de gêneros e cenas musicais distintos na chamada linha evolutiva da MPB . Tais ocorrências revelam tensões mercadológicas e de representatividade na fonografia brasileira e também o esvaziamento destas. Travamos metodologicamente nossa investigação partindo da concepção de pretensão à legitimidade cultural, acionada aqui como referência à conquista de espaço desses gêneros e cenas. ABSTRACT Previously, it was reported that the oxidative capacity and ability to grow on carbon sources such as pyruvate and glucose were severely diminished in the Rhizobium etli phaC::ΩSmr/Spr mutant CAR1, which is unable to synthesize poly-β-hydroxybutyric acid (PHB) (M. A. Cevallos, S. Encarnación, A. Leija, Y. Mora, and J. Mora, J. Bacteriol. 178:1646-1654, 1996). By random Tn5 mutagenesis of the phaC strain, we isolated the mutants VEM57 and VEM58, both of which contained single Tn5 insertions and had recovered the ability to grow on pyruvate or glucose. Nucleotide sequencing of the region surrounding the Tn5 insertions showed that they had interrupted an open reading frame designated aniA based on its high deduced amino acid sequence identity to the aniA gene product of Sinorhizobium meliloti. R. etli aniA was located adjacent to and divergently transcribed from genes encoding the PHB biosynthetic enzymes β-ketothiolase (PhaA) and acetoacetyl coenzyme A reductase (PhaB). An aniA::Tn5 mutant (VEM5854) was constructed and found to synthesize only 40% of the wild type level of PHB. Both VEM58 and VEM5854 produced significantly more extracellular polysaccharide than the wild type. Organic acid excretion and levels of intracellular reduced nucleotides were lowered to wild-type levels in VEM58 and VEM5854, in contrast to those of strain CAR1, which were significantly elevated. Proteome analysis of VEM58 showed a drastic alteration of protein expression, including the absence of a protein identified as PhaB. We propose that the aniA gene product plays an important role in directing carbon flow in R. etli.

Perencanaan Strategis Sistem Informasi merupakan unsur penting dalam pelaksanaan manajemen strategis sistem informasi di sebuah perusahaan. Salah satu tantangan yang dialami oleh Badan Usaha Milik Negara (BUMN) di bidang pengelolaan pelabuhan adalah belum dapat memaksimalkan penggunaan sistem informasi dalam memberikan layanannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kinerja layanan perusahaan dengan cara mengoptimalkan Perencanaan Strategis Sistem Informasi perusahaan. Perencanaan strategis ini berdasarkan pada model Anita Cassidy yang terdiri dari empat fase utama, yaitu visioning phase, analysis phase, direction phase, dan recommendation phase. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus pada Pelabuhan Tanjung Perak yang dikelola oleh PT. Pelindo III. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan literature review yang kemudian dianalisis untuk pembuatan rekomendasi dan penarikan kesimpulan. Responden penelitian ini adalah konsumen dan beberapa staff lapangan di Pelabuhan Tanjung Perak. Teknik yang digunakan dalam melakukan analisis adalah Value Chain, Analisis SWOT, dan benchmark. Hasil akhir dari penelitian ini adalah rekomendasi strategi sistem informasi yang terdiri dari rekomendasi arsitektur aplikasi bisnis, infrastruktur teknologi informasi, penyesuaian struktur organisasi dan roadmap yang sesuai dengan strategi yang akan dijalankan. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat membantu BUMN pengelola pelabuhan dan perusahaan sejenis lainnya dalam meningkatkan kinerja perusahaan melalui optimalisasi perencanaan strategis sistem informasi.

The article discusses the reception of bieżeństwo – the exodus of about three million inhabitants of the western borderlands of the Russian empire deep into Russia in 1915. It was part of the “scorched earth” tactics conducted by the tsarist authorities, which were supposed to hinder the German army’s march eastward. Using the category of “cultural trauma” formulated by J.C. Alexander, the author seeks to dicover why biezenstwo did not become a part of the collective memory of Poles and how it now functions in the collective memory of Podlasie residents. The research was based primarily on Aneta Prymaka-Oniszk’s reportage Bieżeństwo 1915. Zapomniani uchodźcy [Biezhenstvo 1915. Forgotten refugees] and the anthology Jestem, bo wrócili [I am because they came back].

With the onset of the atomic age in 1945, geneticists increasingly spoke out about how nuclear fallout and radiation impacted heredity and reproduction. The scholarship discussing post–World War II activism focuses almost exclusively on males, with little attention given to women who served as public scientists or the role gender played in gaining public trust and influencing policy makers. This paper examines two women, both trained in genetics, who became activists in the 1950s and 1960s to educate the public about the dangers radiation and wartime chemicals posed to the human germ plasm. In Genetics in the Atomic Age (1956), Charlotte Auerbach (1899–1994) described basic genetic principles to explain why radiation-induced mutations could be harmful. In Silent Spring (1962), Rachel Carson (1907–1964) drew on genetics to warn about the possible mutagenic properties of DDT along with other concerns. Both women fostered scientific literacy to empower an informed citizenry that could influence public policy. They appealed both to men and to the growing cadre of middle-class educated women, encouraging an expanded role for maternal responsibility: not only protecting families but also the well-being of all humankind. Résumé Cet article propose une réinterprétation, dans le cadre de la sémiotique « tensive », de la notion d’« iconicité » à partir d’une analyse approfondie des réseaux iconiques, tels qu’ils sont décrits par Aristote dans De Anima et « De Sensu ». Loin d’être le résultat d’une homologation arbitraire à travers une grille de lecture conceptuelle (Greimas) ou d’un codage sous forme de stimuli substituts (Eco), nous allons montrer que l’effet de l’iconicité est le résultat d’une finalisation esthétique d’un processus sensoriel s’instaurant depuis le maintien en présence d’une perception constitutive. Cette première stabilisation du flux sensoriel ouvre une perspective égocentrique susceptible de procurer une cohérence à la sensorialité par l’intermédiaire de ce qu’Aristote appelle la koinè aisthêsis. À partir des textes d’Aristote, nous allons faire l’hypothèse que cette cohérence s’obtient de quatre façons différentes.

O cerne desta investigação baseia-se nos escritos do próprio Thomas Müntzer. Talvez esteja aí sua maior virtude. Não foi considerada, entretanto, a sua abundante correspondência, cuja leitura é também fundamental para uma compreensão adequada do programa teológico müntzeriano em sua totalidade. Procuramos referir-nos minimamente a Lutero, pois nossa intenção primordial é levar a sério a teologia müntzeriana em suas próprias bases. Com isso, talvez a própria exposição não seja retrato fiel das intenções teológicas daquele reformador. Por último, cabe acentuar a intenção historiográfica que anima a presente investigação. Ainda que aqui e ali nos desviemos desta intenção, o alvo é, antes de mais nada, auxiliar a compreensão de uma teologia do passado. Daí o caráter expositivo deste trabalho. Ficam implícitas ou por formular as mediações para com o presente. Estas obviamente existem, e são, em Müntzer, especialmente profusas...

Perhaps no subject is more actual than the relationship of Zionism and the State of Israel to the exercise of military power. Ehud Luz's passionate cri de coeur appears, at first glance, to cover much the same ground as Anita Shapira's earlier Land and Power: The Zionist Resort to Force, 1881–1948: both books analyze comprehensively the way Zionist thinkers, writers, and activists struggled with the moral limitations on the use of force and violence in the acquisition of Jewish sovereignty. But Shapira's focus is more on political history, while Luz treats primarily writers and rabbis, ranging from the ultra-Orthodox pacifist Aharon Shmuel Tamares, the Labor Zionist poet Natan Alterman, the messianic Zionist Zvi Yehuda Kook, and the secular apocalyptic Uri Zvi Greenberg. Where Shapira ends her story with what she describes as the emergence of a new Israeli mentality in the wake of the 1948 war, Luz brings the debates up to virtually the present day. Shapira leaves readers—perhaps unwittingly—with the impression that the values of havlagah (self-restraint) which characterized Labor Zionism in the 1930s were largely replaced by a more ruthless ethos of retaliation: after 1948, Labor Zionism came to adopt the position of its Revisionist archrival. Yet, as Luz demonstrates, the debates of the prewar period continued, if in a new key, in the half-century after Israeli sovereignty.

Our paper draws together conceptual innovations emerging from the work of a group of researchers focussed on the relational approach to information literacy, more recently labelled ‘informed learning’. Team members have been working together in various configurations for periods ranging from seven to seventeen years. Our collaborative approach continues to yield new concepts and constructs which we believe to be of value to ongoing research and practice. Some of the ideas discussed have been previouly published, while others are being put forward for the first time. All are significant in that they together form new constructs that have emerged from a focus on the relational approach to information literacy. In this paper, Christine Bruce introduces the background to this work and the contributing researchers. Then the individual authors present the key directions which they have developed and are leading, typically working with one or more of the wider network. The key ideas presented are: The expressive window for information literacy (Mandy Lupton); information experience design (Elham Sayyad Abdi); cross-contextuality and experienced identity (Andrew Demasson); informed learning design (Clarence Maybee); spaces for inclusive informed learning (Hilary Hughes); and informed systems (Mary Somerville and Anita Mirjamdotter). In each piece, authors reflect on what the idea is about, where it came from and what it might mean for research and practice.
