• Objectif L’objectif de cette étude est de présenter l’approche méthodologique computationnelle ancrée qui repose sur une démarche d’interprétation par les chercheurs des thèmes détectés par les algorithmes d’intelligence artificielle (IA) puis de l’appliquer au cas #Movember. • Méthodologie Une classification non supervisée par LDA et une analyse de sentiment ont été réalisées sur 144 906 tweets provenant de différents pays participants (France, Italie, Belgique, Australie, USA, UK, Arabie Saoudite, etc.). • Résultats Les résultats montrent que le processus de l’engagement individuel au mouvement social #Movember est composé de trois principaux éléments : (1) 4 segments d’engagement individuel (sympathisants, conscients, engagés et maintiens), (2) émotions collectives (positives et négatives) et (3) facteurs cognitifs et motivationnels (calcul bénéfices-coûts, efficacité collective et identité). • Implications managériales Les résultats proposent des actions marketing adaptées à chaque segment pour aider à la fois les organisateurs du mouvement #Movember et les professionnels de santé (PS) à atteindre deux principaux objectifs : (1) dépistage et (2) notoriété, recrutement et collecte de dons, grâce au big data, par le ciblage des personnes avec antécédents familiaux. • Originalité Les recherches sur #Movember utilisent habituellement les algorithmes supervisés qui présentent plusieurs limites tels que biais de confirmation, manque de répétabilité et une exigence en temps. Ce travail utilise le modèle non supervisé LDA pour identifier des concepts latents par la machine dans une perspective computationnelle ancrée (Computational Grounded Theory, CGT).

Insite est un site d’injection supervisée destiné à la population d’usagers de drogues injectables du Downtown Eastside à Vancouver. Dans une perspective foucaldienne, cet article analyse le processus de régulation des conduites de ses usagers par la mise en oeuvre de « pratiques divisantes » et par l’implantation d’un « espace disciplinaire ». Il propose de déterminer comment Insite relaie dans leurs conduites concrètes la normativité sociale associée à la philosophie de réduction des méfaits par l’intériorisation des normes d’autonomie et de responsabilité individuelle de même que par la surveillance de l’appropriation d’une technique d’injection médicalement conforme.

Анотація:
Au Niger, les écosystèmes ont connu au cours des dernières décennies, des modifications importantes dans l’occupation et l’usage des sols. Le paysage subit sans cesse des pressions occasionnées par une démographie galopante, en quête du mieux-être et un climat austère. L’analyse diachronique du paysage peut servir à montrer l’effet des actions anthropiques sur l’occupation des terres. La présente étude conduite dans la commune de Kirtachi avait pour objectif de cartographier l’occupation du sol et de quantifier son évolution de 2000 à 2020. La méthode de comparaison diachronique de classifications a été utilisée. L'approche de classification supervisée par maximum vraisemblance a été retenue, pour se faire les données multisources et multidates sont utilisées au moyen de la télédétection et des Systèmes d’Information Géographique (SIG). Les résultats de cette classification ont abouti à 10 classes d’occupation du sol qui sont la brousse tigrée dégradée et régulière, le cordon ripicole, la culture pluviale et irriguée, le bâtis, le plan d’eau, les sols nus, la savane, et les formations arbustives sur affleurement rocheux. Les résultats obtenus ont montré que l’occupation du sol est en mutation. Les formations forestières (la brousse tigrée régulière, la savane), les formations arbustives sur affleurement rocheux et le plan d’eau ont subi respectivement une régression de 15,20%, 3,46%, 4,30% et 0,38%. A la même période (2000 à 2020), la brousse tigrée dégradée, le cordons ripicole, les zones de cultures (pluviale et irriguée), les sols nus, les bâtis ont augmenté respectivement par rapport à la superficie totale (111283 ha) de 1,52%, 1,00%, 13,62%, 0,59% et 6,48%. Ces mutations sont principalement dues à l’action anthropique.

Résumé : Dans cet article, il est question d’évaluer la déforestation dans la périphérie Ouest de la réserve de Biosphère du Dja à travers les techniques de Télédétection et de Système d’Information Géographique. Pour cela, 08 images Landsat de date différentes (2011 à 2018) ont été utilisées pour produire les cartes d’occupation du sol, à travers la méthode de classification supervisée et l’algorithme « maximum likelihood ». Les classes d’occupation de sol retenues pour cette classification sont : forêt dense, forêt dégradée, zone de culture, zone marécageuse, zone d’habitation, sol nu et eau. L’analyse des changements a été faite avec la technique de « change detection ». Les résultats de cette étude ont montré que la déforestation a été importante pendant la période d’étude (2011 – 2018). Les surfaces forestières se sont principalement transformées en zone de culture, marécage, forêt dégradée, sol nu. Le taux de déforestation observé est de 6,8% et dénote une importante baisse du couvert forestier dense. L’étude a montré des tendances de déforestation dans cette périphérie. Elle a permis d’observer que les zones tendancieuses sont concentrées principalement autour de certaines activités anthropiques présentes dans cette zone (la plantation agricole SUDCAM, le barrage de Mekin, les lieux habités). Анотація:
Actuellement, les méthodes mixtes de recherche suscitent un intérêt croissant dans le domaine des sciences du sport. À ce jour, des réflexions épistémologiques et paradigmatiques ont été engagées lorsqu’il s’agit d’articuler des méthodes, outils et/ou données hétérogènes dans ce type de recherche. Cet article s’inscrit dans cette veine. Il propose une réflexion critique sur des études conduites dans le cadre du programme de recherche empirique et technologique du cours d’action (PRETCA) ayant eu recours à la fouille de données pour mettre en forme des données phénoménologiques à des fins de présentation des résultats de recherche. Cette réflexion est l’occasion de mettre en avant des apports et des points de questionnement sur le recours à la fouille de données, notamment lorsqu’il s’agit de conduire une analyse de classification hiérarchique non supervisée pour identifier des modes typiques d’expériences en situation de pratique sportive. Il ressort que cette importation d’outils et de méthodes de fouille de données nous semble traduire chez les chercheurs du PRETCA une volonté de sophistiquer le traitement des données et la présentation des résultats de recherche.

Background: There is limited research into the effect of supervision in cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) from the supervisees’ perspective. Aims: The aim of the study was to acquire knowledge from the supervisees’ perspective as to what in particular in the supervision process contributes to the therapy process. Method: Fourteen supervisees on a foundation course participated in the study. A qualitative approach was used with thematic analysis of the participants’ written diaries after supervision and therapy sessions. Results: Analyses of supervisees’ experiences suggested that a variety of therapeutic interventions were easier to implement if one had the supervisor's support and felt free to decide if and when the suggested interventions could best be implemented. Evaluation in the form of positive feedback from the supervisor indicating that the supervisee was ‘doing the right thing’ was perceived to be important. A unifying theme when supervisees felt they were not getting anything out of the supervision was that the supervisees did not have a supervision question. Conclusions: The results of this research suggest that the supervisor's support during training is perceived to be important for the supervisee. Receiving positive feedback from one's supervisor in an evaluation is perceived to have a great impact on whether the therapist implements the suggested therapeutic interventions discussed in the previous supervision.

Une approche méthodologique s'appuyant sur la combinaison de données satellitaires et données de terrain est proposée pour l’estimation du volume-tige de peuplements forestiers hétérogènes ou peu homogènes. L'objectif est d'évaluer la disponibilité forestière, en inventoriant moins de 1% de la surface étudiée et avec une erreur max. de 15%. L'approche consiste en la réalisation de trois étapes principales : i) Analyse de la variance sur le volume-tige, ii) classification des données satellitaires et iii) Désignation et inventaire des pixels-échantillons. L'analyse et le calcul de la variance permet d'orienter les calculs du volume en fonction de sa variabilité dans les différentes strates de la forêt alors que la classification des données satellitaires vise à obtenir une stratification de la forêt. La troisième étape consiste en la sélection de pixels-échantillons sur l'image classifiée puis la géolocalisation, l'installation et le cubage des placettes-terrain correspondantes (même dimension spatiale que le pixel de l'image utilisée). Appliquée sur une futaie peu homogène de pin d'Alep (forêt de Tlemcen, Nord-Ouest algérien), l'approche a permis d'estimer un volume global sur pied du peuplement égal à 30 595 m3 m3±15.6% et ce en inventoriant 0.4% seulement de la surface totale. L'analyse de variance sur 12 placettes-échantillons a mis en évidence le caractère peu homogène de la forêt et la faible variabilité du volume-tige. Cependant, Elle fait apparaître aussi que la stratification apporte une légère amélioration à la précision (15.6%) contre 17.6% sans stratification. La classification supervisée d'une image Landsat (Mai 2002) par la méthode du maximum de vraisemblance (précision moyenne de 96%) a permis de stratifier la zone étudiée en six classes (forêt très dense, forêt dense, forêt claire, matorral, herbacées, autres). Pour chaque strate de forêt, le cubage complet de 4 placettes-échantillons comparables en dimension au pixel (30m—30m), a fourni le volume-tige moyen par pixel alors que la généralisation de celui-ci à l'ensemble des pixels a permis de déterminer le volume total de chaque strate. Vu les confusions générées par la classification supervisée au profit des objets pistes, routes et matorral, le volume global a été revu à la baisse (taux de réduction de 10%) et la valeur du volume total corrigé était de 27 535 m3±15.6%, une erreur, bien que non conforme à celle exigée par l'aménagement forestier (max ±10%), s'approche de celle généralement admise (une moyenne de ±15%) pour certains inventaires simplifiés.

Résumé Fréquemment, les chercheurs ont conceptualisé le conflit travail-famille de façon bidirectionnelle : l’étude des effets de la vie professionnelle à l’endroit de la vie de famille (appelé conflit travail-famille) et celle des effets de la vie de famille à l’égard de la vie d’emploi (appelé conflit famille-travail). Toutefois, les résultats inhérents aux recherches basées sur cette conceptualisation se sont avérés controversés. Autrement dit, très peu d’effort a été déployé afin de différencier entre les effets des différentes formes de ce conflit. Pourtant, Greenhaus et Beutell (1985) en ont proposé une conceptualisation multidimensionnelle, en ajoutant aux deux dimensions directionnelles trois autres supplémentaires liées au conflit de temps, d’effort et de comportement. Ainsi, notre recherche répond à la question générale suivante: la conceptualisation multidimensionnelle du conflit travail-famille est-elle plus efficace pour cerner la réalité de ce phénomène que la conceptualisation bidirectionnelle ? À partir d’un échantillon de 375 sujets provenant du personnel infirmier d’un centre hospitalier, nous avons privilégié une conceptualisation multidimensionnelle dudit conflit (Greenhaus et Beutell, 1985), et ce, afin d’identifier les effets spécifiques aux diverses dimensions de ce conflit. Pour ce faire, nous avons utilisé l’analyse en termes des cartes autoorganisatrices de Kohonen (SOM), cartes qui sont basées sur un réseau de neurones résultant de la méthode d’apprentissage non supervisée (Kohonen, 2001). Les résultats de l’analyse neuronale indiquent qu’il y a six formes de conflit. Deux d’entre elles paraissent générer des effets similaires à ceux obtenus selon la conceptualisation bidirectionnelle (conflit à haute intensité versus conflit à basse intensité), tandis que les quatre autres formes apparaissent engendrer des effets spécifiques, justifiant la nécessité d’appliquer la conceptualisation multidimensionnelle préconisée. En outre, l’analyse de variance appliquée aux données a révélé plusieurs différences significatives entre les six formes de ce conflit et des variables externes liées à des facteurs explicatifs dudit conflit, ainsi qu’à ses conséquences. Cette nouvelle taxonomie, basée sur la conceptualisation multidimensionnelle des conflits travail-famille, contribue à une meilleure compréhension de l’interférence entre la sphère de la vie familiale et celle de la vie professionnelle, en identifiant les formes spécifiques du conflit travail-famille au niveau desquelles une ou plusieurs sources de conflictualité sont en action. Des avenues de recherche et des implications managériales sont déduites à la lumière des résultats enregistrés.

Les pressions anthropiques ont accéléré la dégradation des aires protégées surtout dans les pays en voie de développement où les populations dépendent fortement des ressources forestières. La présente étude vise à évaluer l’impact de la gouvernance induite par les différents projets / programmes connus par la Réserve Transfrontalière de Biosphère du W du Bénin (RTBW/B) entre 2000 et 2017 sur son intégrité écologique. De façon spécifique, elle vise à (i) analyser la variation spatio-temporelle des unités d’occupation des terres dans la RTBW/B entre 1990 et 2020 ; et (ii) évaluer la dynamique des indicateurs de pression (défrichement, braconnage, transhumance, pêche illégale, exploitation forestière illégale) sur la réserve de 1990 à 2020. Pour cela, une classification supervisée a été faite sur des images Landsat 4 pour l’année 1990, Landsat 7 pour 2000 et Landsat 8 pour 2020. De plus, une analyse de la tendance des indicateurs de pression a été faite. Les résultats ont montré que le paysage de la RTBW/B s’est fortement dégradé entre 1990 et 2000 avec des taux annuels de changement, certes, relativement bas (entre -0,002 et 0,336 %) mais traduisant une dynamique homogène du paysage. Par contre, entre 2000 et 2020, une nette amélioration du couvert végétal est observée et ceci se traduit notamment par le fait que les mosaïques de champs et jachères ont fortement régressé (ΔS<0 et Tc = -0,822%). De plus, une tendance régressive est globalement notée pour les indicateurs de pression sur la période. Tout ceci pourrait traduire un impact positif des actions des différents projets/programmes mis en œuvre entre 2000 et 2017. Toutefois, il est important de disposer de données sur de longues périodes sur les aires protégées bénéficiaires afin de mieux appréhender les impacts des multiples projets et programmes sur leur intégrité écologique des aires protégées.

En Haïti, les parcs nationaux ont été créés pour préserver les rares massifs forestiers qui sont constamment menacés par l'agriculture et l'élevage. Toutefois, des études scientifiques sur la dynamique paysagère des écosystèmes forestiers des parcs d’Haïti ont reçu peu d’attention. Cette étude a pour objectif de cartographier et quantifier la perte de couverture forestière dans les parcs nationaux naturels de la Forêt des Pins (PNN-FP2), de La-visite (PNN-LV) et de Macaya (PNN-M) de 1985 à 2018. Une analyse diachronique, grâce à la classification supervisée des images Landsat appuyée sur les outils d'analyse de l'écologie du paysage, a été réalisée. Les résultats montrent une dynamique paysagère matérialisée par des pertes du couvert forestier de 56%, 36% et 46% respectivement au sein du PNN-FP2, PNN-LV et PNN-M entre 1985 à 2018, à travers la dissection et la fragmentation des taches par opposition à la dynamique progressive des surfaces agricoles et du sol nu sous-tendue par la création et l'agrégation des taches. Les taux annuels de déforestation, importants entre 1998/1999-2017/2018, ont varié entre -0,09% et -2,72% selon les parcs. Etant donné que les paysages de ces trois parcs nationaux étudiés sont très dynamiques, il est urgent d'adopter une politique de leur conservation soutenue par des mesures de développement socio-économique local. Introduction Many healthcare workers have switched from face-to-face clinical supervision to telesupervision since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. Given the rise in prevalence of telesupervision and continuing remote working arrangements, telesupervision is no longer only limited to rural areas. As this remains an under-investigated area, this study aimed to explore supervisor and supervisee first hand experiences of effective telesupervision. Methods A case study approach combining in-depth interviews of supervisors and supervisees, and document analysis of supervision documentation was used. De-identified interview data were analysed through a reflective thematic analysis approach. Results Three supervisor-supervisee pairs from occupational therapy and physiotherapy provided data. Data analysis resulted in the development of four themes: Benefits vs limitations and risks, not often a solo endeavour, importance of face-to-face contact, and characteristics of effective telesupervision. Discussion Findings of this study have confirmed that telesupervision is suited to supervisees and supervisors with specific characteristics, who can navigate the risks and limitations of this mode of clinical supervision. Healthcare organisations can ensure availability of evidence-informed training on effective telesupervision practices, as well as investigate the role of blended supervision models to mitigate some risks of telesupervision. Further studies could investigate the effectiveness of utilising additional professional support strategies that complement telesupervision, including in nursing and medicine, and ineffective telesupervision practices.

Анотація:
En milieu montagneux et forestier, la localisation de la route et ses caractéristiques géométriques sont des informations cruciale pour de nombreuses applications écologiques et liées à la gestion forestière. Par ailleurs, le lidar aéroporté topographique est devenu une technique de télédétection reconnue pour la caractérisation fine de la surface terrestre : les Modèles Numériques de Terrain (MNT) en sont le produit standard.Cet article aborde le problème de la détection de routes sur de grandes surfaces (>1000 km2) dans de tels environnements. Pour cela, nous avons proposé une méthode fondée sur l’hypothèse que les routes peuvent être modélisées par des objets planaires suivant une direction privilégiée et avec de fortes variations du relief dans la direction orthogonale. La connaissance seule du MNT lidar à 1 m de résolution est suffisante dans notre processus, qui ne requiert donc pas le traitement supplémentaire des nuages de points 3D lidar ni de données à retour d’onde complète. L’intégralité de l’analyse se fait donc en deux dimensions. Tout d’abord, trois attributs morphologiques sont extraits du MNT et introduits dans une classification supervisée par Forêts Aléatoires des zones potentiellement "routes". Ensuite, un graphe est créé à partir de ce masque de focalisation afin de combler les éventuels manques et occlusions dus principalement à la végétation. En particulier, les noeuds sont sélectionnés avec un Processus Ponctuel, puis le graphe est élagué en suivant le modèle de route initial. Enfin, la largeur et la pente des routes sont estimées grâce au MNT avec une analyse orientée-objet. D’une part, on obtient une qualité de détection convaincante, tant au niveau de l’exhaustivité (>80%) que de la précision géométrique, supérieure à celle des bases de données topographiques 2D existantes. De plus, de nouvelles routes sont détectées grâce à la capacité du lidar à restituer le terrain sous le couvert végétal. Cependant, en présence d’un trop faible nombre de mesures lidar au niveau du sol, des routes peuvent ne pas être restituées. Enfin, nous montrons que notre méthode est adaptée à une analyse sur de grandes surfaces puisqu’elle permet des rendements de moins de 2 minutes par km2.

Supervision plays a vital role in the completion of the research project in the bachelor’s degree programmes (Askew et al., 2016). Changes in the delivery of research programmes at the university level have, in recent years, resulting in significant changes to research supervision (McCallin & Nayar, 2012). Especially, the global pandemic COVID-19 has forced academics to be engaged to find out alternative strategies to supervise their students (Wisker, et al. 2021). On other hand, the Covid-19 pandemic had negative effects on the process of research of the programmes (Boufenchoucha & Chandra, 2021). The aim of this study is to innovate the Alternative Supervision Practices for Completion of the Action Research Projects of the BEDSNE programme offered by OUSL during the COVID-19 Pandemic Situation. A fully qualitative approach was followed to conduct this study and a multiple case study design was utilized to conduct the study. The target population was 86 students, and 4 students were supervised by a particular supervisor selected by using the convenience sampling method. Data was collected using reflective journals and semi-structured in-depth interviews. The thematic analysis technique was utilized to analyse the data. The findings: all four students lack knowledge and never skills in action research. Online supervision support to get regular support from the supervisor, time management, managing unnecessary cost, peers, and family members. ZOOM is good for meeting with the supervisor, email is good for sharing the documents with the supervisor and getting immediate feedback from the supervisor, and social media support for the communicating with supervisor and getting support from peers. Online supervision has more advantages than onside supervision. Conclusion: online supervision is more appropriate to supervise the action research of bachelor students in the Open and Distance Education (ODL) mode. Recommendation: supervisors can use online supervision strategies to supervise students in prevailing situations such as the COVID-19 pandemic and the economic crisis of Sri Lanka.

Анотація:
The purpose of this study was to investigate the influence of the supervisory relationship and contextual supervision factors on the supervision outcomes among trainee counsellors. Respondents were 120 trainee counsellors and 18 supervisors from four public universities in Malaysia. Eight instruments were used in measuring the variables. The Supervisory Working Alliance Trainee Inventory (SWAI-T) was administered to measure the supervisory working alliance among trainee counsellors and the Role Conflict Role Ambiguity Inventory (RCRAI) was administered to measure the role conflict among trainee counsellors. Meanwhile, the Supervision Interaction Questionnaire – Supervisee and Supervisor Inventory (SIQ-S) was used to measure the interaction between trainee counsellors and supervisor and the Counsellor Rating Form – Short (CRF-S) was used to measure the characteristics of the supervisors in supervision. The Selective Theory Sorter (STS) inventory was used to measure the counselling orientations among the trainee counsellors and supervisors whereas the Multicultural Counselling Knowledge and Awareness Scale (MCKAS) measures the knowledge and awareness toward multicultural counselling among trainee counsellors. The Supervision Outcomes Survey (SOS) and the Counsellor Performance Inventory (CPI) were utilized to measure the satisfaction and performance among trainee counsellors. Results have revealed that there was a significant correlation between the supervisory relationship (supervisees’ working alliance, supervisees’ role conflict, supervision interaction, supervisors’ attributes) and supervision outcomes, r (118) = .53; p < .05. Other factors that have contributed to the significant correlations of supervision outcomes were supervisees’ working alliance, supervisees’ role conflict, and supervisors’ attributes, r(120) = .55; p < .05; r (120) = .21; p < .05; and r (116) = .50; p < .05 respectively. However, the result has shown that there was no significant correlation between the supervision contextual factors (supervisees’ and supervisors’ counselling orientation and supervisees’ cultural knowledge and awareness) and supervision outcomes. The Multiple Regression analyses reported that the supervisory relationship had an influence on the supervision outcomes, R2 = .28, F (1,105) = 40.2, p < .05. Meanwhile, the supervision contextual factors had no influence on the supervision outcomes. Based on the research findings, the model signified that the supervision process could bring out changes in the supervisees. Practically, the supervisees’ working alliance was a significant factor that has influenced the supervisees’ development. Therefore, the academic supervisor should consider the supervisees’ role conflict, supervision interaction, and supervisors’ attributes during supervision. It is recommended that the differences between supervision interaction of the supervisors and the supervisees are to be examined in the future research.

The study investigates influence of supervisors’ rank on students’ performance in post graduate theses and dissertations in postgraduate research in universities in Cross River State. The study adopted the ex-post factor research design. The population of the study consists of all the 3912 Post graduate degree students who completed their theses defence between 2019 to 2021 academic year among Universities in Cross River State, with specific reference to the University of Calabar, University of Cross River State and the Calabar center of the National Open University of Nigeria. Using the simple random sampling technique to select 406 respondents, data was analysed using the one-way ANOVA. The findings reveal that the supervisors’ rank has no significant influence on students’ performance in post graduate thesis and dissertation. Students’ performance in their final year research work is the same (equal) for those supervised by Lecturer 1, Senior Lecturer, Associate Professor and Professor. This may be true because of the open access possibility for supervisees to maximize online resources or consult academic mentors who might not be highly ranked academically. The study conclude that deans of Post Graduate School or postgraduate school administrators should ensure that different departments and faculties where postgraduate programmes are domiciled assigns supervisor with a higher level of expertise with regards to specialization and interest, rather than rank to supervise their post graduate student since the rank of supervisors’ does not influence students’ performance in post graduate research theses and dissertation.

This study aimed to analyze the planning, implementation, and feedback stages of clinical supervision of principals in learning at SD Negeri Coa Kaimana. This study used a descriptive method with a qualitative analysis approach. The subject of the research were the principal, teachers, and school staff, about 16 people. This study indicated that the principal of SD Negeri Coa Kaimana had implemented a clinical supervision program in learning with three stages. Before implementing the clinical supervision program, the principal by involving the vice principal, the curriculum section, senior teachers and classroom teachers to plan what they wanted to be supervised according to the needs and needs of the teacher, such as compiling a schedule of supervision, goals, objectives, steps, and time. The principal supervised the implementation of clinical supervision such as coming to the classroom to see classroom learning activities, preparing learning equipment such as lesson plans, syllabus, Prota, Prosem, assessment, teaching aids, handbooks, and learning media. Based on research, it was known that the principal's clinical supervision research in learning was clinical supervision feedback such as calling the supervised teacher to be fostered and followed up. However, some were a little difficult to foster. The teachers also increasingly understood their duties as educators.Keywords: Clinical Supervision; Learning; PrincipalPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan umpan balik supervisi klinis kepala sekolah dalam pembelajaran di SD Negeri Coa Kaimana. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan analisis kualitatif. Subjek penelitian supervisi ini adalah kepala sekolah, guru, dan tenaga kependidikan sebanyak 16 orang. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kepala SD Negeri Coa Kaimana telah melaksanakan program supervisi klinis dalam pembelajaran dengan tiga tahapan. Sebelum melaksanakan program supervisi klinis, kepala sekolah dengan melibatkan wakil kepala sekolah, bagian kurikulum, guru senior, dan guru kelas untuk merencanakan parameter yang hendak disupervisi berdasarkan kebutuhan guru seperti menyusun jadwal dan tujuan supervisi. Kepala sekolah melakukan supervisi pelaksanaan supervisi klinis, seperti visitasi ruang kelas untuk melihat kegiatan pembelajaran, aktualisasi RPP, silabus, Prota, Prosem, penilaian, alat alat peraga, buku pegangan, dan media pembelajaran. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa supervis klinis kepala sekolah dalam pembelajaran adalah umpan balik supervisi klinis seperti memanggil guru yang disupervisi untuk dibina dan ditindaklanjuti. Анотація:
This paper analyses the effect of supervisor-supervisee relations on students’ completion of doctoral studies. It argues that, whereas doctoral studies is student focused, the success of the student is hinged on their relations with research supervisors. Three type of relationships: cordial, conflictual and sandwich are highlighted as key determinants of student’s progress. The paper further argues that, whereas supervisors are usually blamed by students as major source of their non-completion, students’ factors also greatly contribute to their completion or non-completion. Hence, to limit attrition numbers of doctoral students, there is need to address negative supervisor-supervisee relational issues.

Le développement agricole et la forte croissance démographique ont contribué à la perte du couvert forestier ivoirien. L’objectif de cette étude est d’analyser l’évolution passée (1986 à 2019) et de prédire (2019 à 2050) l’occupation des sols dans le bassin versant de la Lobo. La classification supervisée par maximum de vraisemblance des images landsat de 1986, 2003 et 2019, couplée à la méthode intensity analysis a été appliquée dans cette étude. Les résultats montrent sur la période de 1986 à 2019 une baisse de la végétation de 4708,82 km2 à 4054,72 km2 au détriment de l’augmentation de la mosaïque des cultures et jachères de 6376,56 km2 à 6925,05 km2. Les plans d’eau et sols nus et bâtis ont également augmenté respectivement de 3,73 km2 et 101,88 km2. Par contre, les aires protégées sont restées inchangées avec une superficie de 1516,13 km2. Les changements des classes d’occupation du sol par intensity analysis ont été lent au premier intervalle de temps (1986-2019) mais s’accéléront au deuxième intervalle de temps (2019 à 2050). La mosaïque des cultures et jachères et la végétation ont connu respectivement des pertes de superficies moins intenses et plus intense, tandis que les autres classes ont gagné intensément de superficies durant le premier intervalle de temps. Pendant le deuxième intervalle de temps, seuls les plans d’eau et la mosaïque des cultures et jachères connaîtront des intensités de gains de superficies moins intenses. Il n’y a pas eu de transition des autres classes vers la végétation et la mosaïque des cultures sur toute la période d’étude (1986 à 2050). Agricultural development and high demographic growth have contributed to the loss of ivorian forest cover. The objective of this study is to analyse the past (1986 to 2019) and to predict (2019 to 2050) evolution of land use in the Lobo watershed. Supervised maximum likelihood classification of landsat images from 1986, 2003 and 2019, coupled with intensity analysis was applied in this study. The results show a decrease in vegetation from 4708.82 km2 to 4054.72 km2 over the period 1986 to 2019 at the expense of an increase in the mosaic of crops and fallow land from 6376.56 km2 to 6925.05 km2. Water bodies and bare and built-up land also increased by 3.73 km2and 101.88 km2 respectively. Protected areas, on the other hand, remained unchanged at 1516.13 km2. Changes in land use classes by using intensity of analysis were slow in the first time interval (1986-2019) but will accelerate in the second time interval (2019 to 2050). Crop and fallow mosaic and vegetation experienced less intense and more intense area losses respectively, while the other classes gained area intensively during the first time interval. During the second time interval, only water bodies and the crop-fallow mosaic will experience less intense area gains. There was no transition from the other classes to vegetation and crop mosaic over the entire study period (1986 to 2050).

This study focus on investigating supervisors’ teaching variables and students’ performance in post graduate thesis and dissertation in Cross River State, Nigeria. The study adopted the ex-post facto research design. The stratified random sampling technique was used to select 406 theses and dissertations from a population of 3,912 using proportionality of 10.37% with Faculty as basis of stratification. Theses and Dissertations supervisor variables scale (TADSVS) was used to amass information from the respondents, while the Simple Linear Regression Analysis was used to analyse the date collected from the field. The first finding showed that there is no statistical significant influence of supervisors’ years of tertiary institution teaching experience on students’ performance in post graduate theses and dissertations. This means that students’ performance in their final year research work is the same (equal) for those supervised by the low, moderate and high experienced lecturers. The finding of the second hypothesis showed that Supervisors’ area of specialization significantly influences students’ performance in theses and dissertations in Cross River State, Nigeria. That is, thesis performance is not equal across supervisors’ specialization. Based on the foregoing findings, the study recommends the need to assign an experience supervisor to supervise post graduate students’ research theses and dissertation for excellent performance since supervisors’ years of tertiary teaching experience significantly influence students’ performance in post graduate research theses and dissertation among universities students in Cross River State, Nigeria.

ObjectivesWe aimed to review the international literature to understand the enablers of and barriers to effective clinical supervision in the workplace and identify the benefits of effective clinical supervision.DesignA rapid evidence review.Data sourcesFive databases (CINAHL, OVID Embase, OVID Medline, OVID PsycInfo and ProQuest) were searched to ensure inclusion and breadth of healthcare professionals.Eligibility criteriaStudies identifying enablers and barriers to effective clinical supervision across healthcare professionals in a Western context between 1 January 2009 and 12 March 2019.Data extraction and synthesisAn extraction framework with a detailed inclusion/exclusion criteria to ensure rigour was used to extract data. Data were analysed using a thematic qualitative synthesis. These themes were used to answer the research objectives.ResultsThe search identified 15 922 papers, reduced to 809 papers following the removal of duplicates and papers outside the inclusion criteria, with 135 papers being included in the full review. Enablers identified included regular supervision, occurs within protected time, in a private space and delivered flexibly. Additional enablers included supervisees being offered a choice of supervisor; supervision based on mutual trust and a positive relationship; a cultural understanding between supervisor and supervisee; a shared understanding of the purpose of supervision, based on individual needs, focused on enhancing knowledge and skills; training and feedback being provided for supervisors; and use of a mixed supervisor model, delivered by several supervisors, or by those trained to manage the overlapping (and potentially conflicting) needs of the individual and the service. Barriers included a lack of time, space and trust. A lack of shared understanding to the purpose of the supervision, and a lack of ongoing support and engagement from leadership and organisations were also found to be barriers to effective clinical supervision.ConclusionsThis review identified several enablers of and barriers to effective clinical supervision and the subsequent benefits of effective clinical supervision in a healthcare setting.

The research was aimed to analyze and provide emprical evidences about the impact of task complexity, supervise action, group support, and time pressure on the quality of audit results. Dependent variable in the research is quality of audit results and independent variabel in the research is task complexity, supervise action, group support, and time pressure. The data used in this study contains the perception of the independent auditor who filled out questionnaires. The sample in this study involves an independent auditor at 10 Office of Public Accountants in West Jakarta and South Jakarta. Questionnaires were distributed by 73 questionnaires, of 73 questionnaires were distributed, which can be processed only 58 questionnaires. Processing data using test validity, reliability testing, testing assumptions of clasical, linear regression, and correlation test with SPSS for Windows version 19.0. The result proved that task complexity, supervise action, group support, and time pressure influanced quality of audit results simultaneously. Besides that, this study proved that supervise action and time pressure influenced quality of audit results partially, but task complexity and supervise action didn’t influanced quality of audit results.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan memberikan bukti empiris mengenai pengaruh kompleksitas tugas, tindakan supervisi, dukungan kelompok, dan tekanan waktu kerja terhadap kualitas hasil audit. Variabel dependen dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitas hasil audit dan variabel independen dalam penelitian ini adalah kompleksitas tugas, tindakan supervisi, dukungan kelompok, dan tekanan waktu kerja. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berisi persepsi dari auditor independen yang mengisi kuesioner. Sampel dalam penelitian ini melibatkan auditor independen pada 10 Kantor Akuntan Publik di Wilayah Jakarta Barat dan Jakarta Selatan. Kuesioner yang disebarkan sebanyak 73 kuesioner, dari 73 kuesioner yang disebarkan, yang dapat diolah hanya 58 kuesioner. Pengolahan data menggunakan pengujian validitas, pengujian reliabilitas, pengujian asumsi klasik, uji regresi linear, dan uji korelasi melalui program SPSS for Windows Versi 19.0. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kompleksitas tugas, tindakan supervisi, dukungan kelompok, dan tekanan waktu kerja mempengaruhikualitas hasil audit secara simultan. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga membuktikan bahwa tindakan supervisi dan tekanan waktu kerja secara parsial mempengaruhi kualitas hasil audit, sedangkan kompleksitas tugas dan dukungan kelompok tidak berpengaruh pada kualitas hasil audit

This study is an action research conducted at the Aboom circuit of the Cape Coast Metropolis. It was aimed at exploring the idea of critical friendship between supervisor and supervisee to find out whether it can be useful in the Ghanaian context. The sample consisted of 31 participants, comprising one circuit supervisor, 26 teachers, and 4 headteachers. One out of the six circuits in the Cape Coast Metropolis was selected, and four schools from the circuit were randomly sampled for the study. The circuit supervisor and headteachers were interviewed, while questionnaires were administered to the teachers. Relationships and instructional practices in the school were also observed. The data were analysed using percentages. The main findings of the study were that critical friendship in instructional supervision increased the trust between the circuit supervisor and teachers, increased the supervisor’s support for teachers, and increased teachers' commitment to their work. It was recommended that the Metropolitan Education Office educate circuit supervisors on the idea of critical friendship in supervision.

This paper shows how superego conflicts can affect and disturb supervision. On the one hand the supervisee's wish is to shift the responsibility for his or her group on to the supervisor; on the other, the supervisee would like to be independent and autonomous, to conduct his or her group the way he or she wants, without being forced to tell anyone about it. The supervisor has to refuse to take over the supervisee's superego functions completely, but he or she does have responsibility for ensuring that the trainee will be a capable group-analyst at the end of training. The supervisor has to watch out that the supervisee's group-analytic superego is neither too loose nor too strict. ABSTRACT Documentation is a means of affective communication between health professions. The low quality of integrated record documentation in Indonesia includes incomplete CPPT where patient identity, date and time of visit are not filled in, PPA's signature and full name, and lack of discipline in filling out medical records by PPA. Supervision is carried out in stages in the preparation, implementation and evaluation phases. The preparation phase contains the planning of the supervision program that will be carried out. The implementation phase is the nurse's assessment by the supervisor while the last phase is the evaluation of the supervision assessment (from the results of direct and indirect observations from the CPPT. The purpose of the thesis is to analyze the relationship between the implementation of supervision on CPPT at the Riau University General Hospital. This study was conducted with a cross sectional approach and is a quantitative study. The research sample is 33 people with total sampling sampling technique. The study uses questionnaires and observation sheets that have been tested for validity and reliability. Through statistics there is a relationship between the preparation phase (p value 0.000), the implementation phase (p value 0.001) and the evaluation (p value 0.000) clinical supervision model 4S with CPPT. Researchers recommend the role of supervision to improve service quality and completeness of integrated recording documentation, carried out by increasing the frequency of supervision and assessment of the implementation of the document integrated logging entity. Rendahnya kualitas pendokumentasian catatan terintegrasi di Indonesia meliputi tidak lengkapnya CPPT dimana tidak terisinya identitas pasien, tanggal dan jam visite, tanda tangan PPA serta nama dengan lengkap, serta kurangnya kedisiplinan pengisian rekam medis oleh PPA. Supervisi dilakukan bertahap dalam fase persiapan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi. Fase persiapan berisi perencanaan program supervisi yang dijalankan. Fase pelaksanaan merupakan penilaian perawat oleh supervisor sedangkan fase terakhir adalah evaluasi dari penilaian supervisi (dari hasil observasi langsung dan tidak langsung dari CPPT. Tujuan tesis adalah menganalisis hubungan pelaksanaan supervisi terhadap CPPT di Rumah Sakit Umum Universitas Riau. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan pendekatan cross sectional dan merupakan penelitian kuantitatif. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 33 orang dengan teknik pengambilan sampel total sampling. Penelitian menggunakan kuesioner dan lembar observasi yang sudah teruji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Melalui statistik terdapat hubungan fase persiapan (p value 0,000), fase pelaksanaan (p value 0,001) dan fase evaluasi (p value 0,000) supervisi klinik model 4S dengan CPPT. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah: (1 ) Untuk mengetahui peran kepala sekolah sebagai pengelola dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan di MI Cimenteng Cisaat; dan (2) mendeskripsikan peran kepala sekolah sebagai pengawas dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan di MI Cimenteng Cisaat. Penelitian ini pada dasarnya merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan desain penelitian etnografi. Untuk informan melibatkan kepala sekolah, guru, dan siswa. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Dan untuk validitas data menggunakan kredibilitas, konfirmabilitas, dan dependabilitas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) kepala sekolah MI Cimenteng Cisaat memiliki tiga strategi dalam menjalankan perannya sebagai manajer untuk meningkatkan mutu pendidikan di MI Cimenteng. Strategi tersebut meliputi penerapan kualitas total, pelibatan pihak eksternal, dan evaluasi berkelanjutan. Dengan strategi tersebut, MI Cimenteng Sukabumi menjadi pendidikan berbasis mutu dengan persentase kelulusan mencapai 100%. (2) Peran kepala sekolah di MI Cimenteng Sukabumi sebagai pengawas ditunjukkan dengan melakukan supervisi. Kepala sekolah menyiapkan waktu, guru, materi, kelas, dan instrumen supervisi. Proses supervisi dilakukan oleh kepala sekolah dengan observasi kelas dimana kepala sekolah menilai kinerja guru dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar. Hasil supervisi dibahas dalam rapat umpan balik antara kepala sekolah dan guru yang dibimbing. Dan diskusi umum diikuti oleh seluruh warga sekolah termasuk komite sekolah. The purposes of this research are: (1 ) to know about the role of the principal as the manager to improve the quality of education at MI Cimenteng Cisaat; and (2) to describe the role of the principal as the supervisor to improve the quality of education at MI Cimenteng Cisaat.This research is basically a qualitative research with ethnography research design. For the informant, it involves the principal, teacher, and students. Data collection method uses interview, observation, and documentation. The data analyses uses data collection, data reducation, data display, and drawing conclusion. And for the data validity, it uses credibility, confirmability, and dependability.The results of the research show that: (1 ) the principal of MI Cimenteng Cisaat had three strategies to perform his role as a manager to improve the quality of education at MI Cimenteng. Those strategies included the implementation of total quality, involving external parties, and doing continuous evaluation. With those strategies, MI Cimenteng Sukabumi became the qualitybased education with the percentage of graduation achieved 100%. (2) The role of the principal at MI Cimenteng Sukabumi as the supervisor was indicated by conducting supervision. The principal prepared the time, teacher, material, class, and instrument of supervision. The process of supervision was done by the principal with classroom observation in which the principal assessed teacher’s performance in teaching and learning activity. The result of supervision was discussed in feedback meeting between the principal and supervised teacher. And the general discussion was followed by all school community included school committee.

INTRODUCTION: Supervision is crucial to social workers’ practice. Within the current managerial social services environment, the supervisor juggles organisational and professional accountabilities—organisational agendas often dominate practitioners’ reflection. In response, alternative types of supervision have emerged, one of which is external supervision.METHODS: This paper analyses qualitative discussions with key informants and supervisory dyads in community-based child welfare services regarding reflective practices in supervision. Internal and external supervision arrangements were discussed in depth relative to their impact on social work practice.FINDINGS: Analysis of discussions identified four themes: the significance of external supervision for building capacity, resilience and confidential reflective space; the role of internal supervision for managerial and organisational agendas; tensions associated with external supervision regarding funding and accountability; and important attributes of the supervisor in successful working relationships.CONCLUSIONS: External supervision is essential for professional competence but considerable inter-organisational variation exists in how this is utilised. Three key considerations emerged: accountabilities of external supervisor, supervisee and internal supervisor towards collaborative practice, evaluation and feedback; purchasing of external supervision; and the professional development of external supervisors. Further education connecting the importance of the supervisory relationship to realise critical thinking and practice development is essential for the future of social work.

Abstract This present study aims to analyze the effect of abusive supervision variables on deviance behavior through job frustration and its direct effect on the deviance behavior of company employees. The population in this study are those who work as supervisors and have direct subordinates or employees. The research sample was taken as many as 31 respondents with a nonprobability sampling technique, namely incidental sampling. Hypothesis testing uses path analysis to test the effect of each variable. The results of this study suggest that: (i) abusive supervision has a significant positive direct effect on job frustration of company employees. (ii) job frustration mediates positively and significantly influences the abusive supervision on the deviance behavior of company employees. (iii) abusive supervision does not directly influence the deviance behavior of the company's employees. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah mereka yang berprofesi sebagai supervisor dan memiliki bawahan atau karyawan langsung. Pengujian hipotesis menggunakan analisis jalur untuk menguji pengaruh masing-masing variabel. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (i) supervisor kasar berpengaruh langsung positif dan signifikan terhadap job frustration (jf) karyawan perusahaan. (ii) frustasi kerja memediasi secara positif dan signifikan mempengaruhi supervisi kekerasan terhadap penyimpangan perilaku) karyawan perusahaan. Kepuasan kerja merupakan hal yang sangat penting dalam sebuah organisasi karena dengan tercapainya kepuasan kerja personel organisasi tersebut diharapkan akan dapat memberikan sumbangan yang optimal bagi tercapainya tujuan organisasi yang bersangkutan. Perawat merupakan SDM penting di RS, bahkan menjadi garda terdepan dalam memberikan layanan kepada pasien, terutama di unit rawat inap yang membutuhkan sentuhan emosional. Data di RS Tria Dipa 4 tahun terakhir (Tahun 2017-2021) menunjukkan perununan jumlah yang signifikan. Penurunan jumlah dimungkinkan adanya ketidakpuasan perawat tentang berbagai variable terkait dengan standar pengupahan/kompensasi, lingkungan kerja, supervise atasan, dan pengembangan karier yang diperoleh dari manajemen RS. Tujuan : Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kepuasan perawat di unit rawat inap RS Tria Dipa Jakarta Tahun 2021RS Tria Dipa Jakarta. Metode : Penelitian dilakukan dengan pendekatan kuantitatif, menggunakan rancangan cross sectional, alat pengumpulan data berupa kuesioner, metode analisa data yang digunakan adalah multiple linear regression dengan bantuan software SPSS. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh tenaga Keperawatan di ruang rawat inap Rumah sakit Tria Dipa Jakarta dengan total populasi 78 orang. Sampel diambil dengan metode purposive sampling atau memenuhi kriteria inklusi. Hasil : Hasil analisis multiple linear regression menujukan bahwa nilai koefisien RSquare sebesar 0,875, artinya bahwa variabel Kepuasan dapat dijelaskan oleh variabel Kompensasi, Lingkungan Kerja, Pengembangan Karir dan Supervisi Atasan sebesar 87,5%, sedangkan sisanya merupakan konstribusi variabel independen lain. Berdasarkan analisa parsial Kompensasi berhubungan secara signifikan dan positif terhadap Kepuasan (P-value 0,034). Lingkungan Kerja berhubungan secara signifikan dan positif terhadap Kepuasan (P-value 0,001). Pengembangan Karir berhubungan secara signifikan dan positif terhadap Kepuasan (P-value 0,048). Supervisi Atasan berhubungan secara signifikan dan positif terhadap Kepuasan (P-value 0,005). Hal ini menujukan bahwa semakin baik Kompensasi, semakin nyaman Lingkungan Kerja, semakin jelas arah Pengembangan Karir dan semakin baik Supervisi atasan berdampak signifikan terhadap meningkatnya kepuasan perawat. Kesimpulan : Semua hipotesa dalam penelitian ini di dukung. To design and implement a stand-alone photovoltaic power generator monitoring system with remote control functions. The hardware architecture consists of solar cells, solar charger, DC/AC inverter, energy storage device, energy consumption equipment, electrical load, PLC controller, I/O card, router, and supervisory control computer, while the software is composed of programmable software and graphic supervisory control software. With the self-developed solar charger, the conversion efficiency of this system achieves 93.26%. Besides, with maximum power point tracking function, the solar cells could continuously output maximum power. The user-friendly human-machine interface would transmit the information acquired by PLC controller, through MODBUS TCP communications protocol, to the remote computer; this would supervise and control the voltage, electric current, power, fault detection, network monitoring, and run chart function in the photovoltaic energy generating system; and the supervised and controlled data would be recorded in detail and stored into the database for further study and analyses. The experiment confirms the convenient operation of this system that it could effectively supervise and control the conditions of the system.

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh gambaran objektif dan komprehensif tentang proses perekrutan pengawas pendidikan dan peran pengawas pendidikan, serta mengetahui faktor-faktor penghambat dan pendukung peran pengawas untuk meningkatkan mutu pendidikan SMP di Kabupaten Bima Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Barat. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi dan studi dokumen. Tahapan analisis data menggunakan model interaktif dan analisis komponensial. Hasil penelitian menemukan: (1) proses perekrutan pengawas pendidikan belum sepenuhnya sesuai dengan peraturan pemerintah dan undang-undang. (2) pemantauan pelaksanaan program sekolah yang dilakukan pengawas pendidikan belum terlaksana dengan optimal. (3) supervisi yang dilakukan pengawas pendidikan belum terlaksana dengan optimal. (4) evaluasi program kerja sekolah yang dilakukan pengawas pendidikan sudah terlaksana dengan baik. (5) pembuatan laporan hasil pemantauan, supervisi, dan evaluasi yang dilakukan pengawas pendidikan terlaksana dengan baik. (6) Tindak lanjut yang dilakukan pengawas pendidikan belum optimal. There is a need for semi-autonomous systems capable of performing both automated tasks and supervised maneuvers. When dealing with multiple robots or robots with high complexity (such as humanoids), we face the issue of effectively coordinating operators across robots. We build on our previous work to present a methodology for designing trajectories and policies for robots such that a few operators can supervise multiple robots. Specifically, we: (1) Analyze the complexity of the problem, (2) Design a procedure for generating policies allowing operators to oversee many robots, (3) Present a method for designing policies and robot trajectories to allow operators to oversee multiple robots, and (4) Include both simulation and hardware experiments demonstrating our methodologies.

Abstract Our study investigated how Czech supervisors understand, engage with and supervise therapists in handling sexual attraction. Qualitative interviews were carried out with 13 volunteers in the Czech Republic. Transcripts were analysed using constructivist grounded theory (GT). Findings show that in reflecting on their experience as supervisors, participants stepped into their experience as therapists first. Data shows various factors mediating and influencing the supervision process: the historical and political impact of sexual tabooism and sexual attraction in training and practice; supervisors’ personal experience of sexual attraction provoked shame; gender and trust impact on which supervisor to choose; male and female differences in supervisory needs; and a clear contract facilitates disclosure of sexual attraction.

The article is devoted to supervision, which is becoming more and more necessary in all spheres of social life, including in the system of social work and special education. It is shown that one of the tasks of supervision is the development of certain skills and expansion of the supervised's understanding and capabilities. It is justified that for the effective performance of such tasks, the supervisor himself must have the appropriate skills and abilities. The purpose of the article is to study the specifics and consider modern requirements for the professional activity of a supervisor. The task of the article: to analyze the views of scientists on the goals and functions of supervision; consider the personal and professional characteristics of supervisors and the roles they perform; to investigate the content of supervision of social work and education. It was concluded that the purpose of supervision is to help the supervisee (them) more effectively perform the tasks defined in job duties through the development of emotional maturity, and the task of supervision is to satisfy organizational, professional and personal needs.

Group-orientated supervision is provided continually to student nurses during their education. In the supervision process it is necessary to create a relationship between the supervisor and the supervisee that is based on an ethical, trusting relationship. The aim of the study was to investigate supervisors’ ( n = 18) experiences of the ethical dimensions of ongoing group-orientated supervision. An additional aim was to describe the supervisors’ values by which they are guided in supervision. Data were collected by means of an open-ended questionnaire and analysed using the hermeneutic transformative process. The findings revealed the following themes: respect and responsibility; carefulness and sensitivity; reflection and confirmation; and genuineness and fairness. The values guiding the supervisors were dignity, normative ethics, privacy and confidentiality.

Background: Although supervision is believed to be an important strategy for training practitioners in evidence-based practice, little is known about how it should be organized and conducted to promote implementation fidelity. Aims: To explore supervisor behaviours that might facilitate supervisees’ proficiency in motivational interviewing. Method: In this exploratory study, ten supervisors from a primary prevention intervention of childhood obesity responded to semi-structured interviews about their supervision behaviours. A mixed method approach was used; both qualitative and quantitative data were collected and analysed. Results: The supervisors reported using several sources of information for evaluating and providing systematic feedback on supervisees’ performance. However, the majority did not use the available objective measures of proficiency as the primary source. Moreover, half of the supervisors argued that objective feedback might have a punishing effect on the supervisees. Conclusions: Variation in the use of supervision components that previous research has proposed to be potentially influential to the process and outcome may lead to less efficient supervision. Findings suggest that appropriate supervision activities conducted in each supervision session require clear supervision principles that specify the content and procedure of the supervision, as well as regular adherence monitoring of the supervision sessions.

Psychoanalytic training in countries with no accredited training program or official link to the international psychoanalytic community is possible only through technology. Serious controversies surround the legitimacy of distance training, based primarily on doubts about the efficacy of distance analysis. Curiously, in a discipline that prides itself on being a “talking cure,” an emphasis on the embodied presence of the analytic couple emerges in the literature over and over again. In fact, though, it’s through the use of language—and not through sight—that we achieve the aim of analysis. The information the analyst gathers from bodily presence is important, but even then the analyst’s job is to hear the patient’s unconscious communications. If an analyst, for whatever reason, is unable to hear the patient’s voice and unconscious communications, the analysis is bound to fail whether the patient is in the room or on the screen/phone. Being spatially distant poses no contradictions to psychoanalysis, as long as both parties—patient and analyst, supervisee and supervisor, candidate and instructor—are willing to listen, hear, and be heard emotionally.

In this paper, we are going to analyse the situation in math classes in Nablus Directorate depending on reports written by their supervisor. Also we are looking at AQB courses in MAT (Master of Arts in Teaching) program for math teachers and supervisors, discussing the syllabus of these courses, in particular relating to a math supervisor. We will show how the courses met the needs of this supervisor in her work with teachers. We will concentrate on the effectiveness of using Action Research as an important strategy for MAT program in developing this supervisor’s educational skills. In the third part we are going show how the assignments and the emphasis in the use of qualitative research, greatly affected the supervisor. We will also compare between teachers' work in their math classrooms before and after being in workshops organized by this supervisor who is now a graduate of the MAT program. Finally, the data was collected and analysed to describe how participation in the Al-Quds Bard MAT program changed this mathematics supervisor’s workshops and how it greatly affected teachers' work in their classrooms.

Afin de décrire le processus de développement professionnel vécu par les personnes supervisées au fil des rencontres de supervision clinique en counseling de carrière groupal, cette recherche qualitative a été réalisée auprès de huit personnes supervisées et de deux personnes superviseures, dans un programme de formation de deuxième cycle en orientation professionnelle d’une université canadienne. En mobilisant le Modèle de supervision développemental intégratif (Stoltenberg et al., 1988; Stoltenberg et McNeill, 2010; McNeill et Stoltenberg, 2016), l’analyse thématique des enregistrements des rencontres de supervision, ainsi que des incidents critiques identifiés par les personnes supervisées met en lumière trois thèmes à l’intérieur desquels s’est manifesté le processus de développement professionnel : (a) s’adapter à la nouveauté en intervention, (b) de la réflexion-sur-l’action à la réflexion-dans-l’action, et (c) composer avec la complexité en intervention. Les implications pour la supervision clinique et la formation initiale sont discutées, puis des recommandations pour des recherches futures sont proposées.

This study explores the transactional leadership styles and job satisfaction among the employees of the Multimedia University of Kenya (MMU) of Kenya. A descriptive survey research design was used. The study was guided by contingency leadership theory. Out of 386 employees of MMU, 197 supervised employees and 115 supervisor samples were drawn. This represented 83% of the total population was issued with a questionnaire. Purposive sampling was used to select the study location and the study population, while stratified random sampling was used to select the individual respondents. Two sets of structured questionnaires were used to collect data: the supervised employees’ questionnaire and the supervisors’ questionnaire. Data was analysed using Statistical Package for Social Scientists (SPSS) version 26.0. The study found that supervised staff felt that their supervisors sometimes practised transactional leadership through contingent reward and management by exception. This study recommends that leaders identify individual uniqueness, link the individuals’ current needs to the organisation’s needs, provide coaching, mentoring and growth opportunities, and implement a leadership that contains a mix of transactional and transformational leadership attributes. This will help design leadership development interventions for developing the capacity of managers to apply the leadership styles that are most likely to elicit employee job satisfaction and, therefore, contribute to its effectiveness.

In most teacher education programmes, school-faculty partnerships provide a vital opportunity for student teachers to learn about teaching. This partnership, however, is undermined by the lack of collaboration between cooperating teachers and university supervisors who are paired up in a student teaching triad to help student teachers improve their teaching skills. As it has been reported in the literature that both cooperating teachers and university supervisors act upon their personal beliefs of how to supervise student teachers, one way to resolve this lack of collaboration is to understand their supervision beliefs. Therefore, drawing on the Personal Construct Theory, this case study aims at exploring the personal theories of a supervisor and a cooperating teacher in relation to effective supervision. The data was collected through the repertory grid technique and analysed on a REP Plus computer software program. The analysis was also supported by follow-up interviews. The results revealed shared and idiosyncratic personal theories of the university supervisor and the cooperating teacher and suggest the need for reflective dialogue and joint communication between dyad members over these beliefs to sustain collaborative school-university partnership.

The history of maritime safety supervisors in Korea is relatively short, but it's marked by significant changes driven by tragic maritime accidents. A Maritime Safety Supervisor (MSS) in Korea, as defined by the Maritime Safety Act, is a designated individual with the authority and responsibility to ensure the safety of ship operations. There is evidence to suggest that the introduction of Maritime Safety Supervisors in Korea has contributed to a reduction in maritime accidents. Decreased Major Accidents: Since the implementation of the MSS system in 2015, Korea has seen a significant decline in major maritime accidents, particularly involving passenger vessels. According to related statistics, the number of casualites(death-missing) involving passenger ships dropped from 10 in the five years before the MSS system to 1 in 5 years. However, it's important to note that attributing the decrease in accidents solely to the MSS system is complex. Other factors, such as improved weather forecasting technology and stricter regulations, may also play a role. Additionally, the system is still relatively young, and more data is needed to fully assess its long-term impact.
