The article proposes an innovative approach for the solving of the problems of building an effective communication support for the civil service and its development as an open self-developing system in the transition period, as well as related tasks related to the development of an advertising communication model for the implementation of innovations. The functional peculiarities of communicative interaction between the state and the public are considered in the context of modern research approaches, namely: limiting the influence of the public sector on the communication process; competitive provision of state-civil communication; the emphasis on the human-orientated style of state-civil communication; formal measurement of standards and indicators of productivity and the success of state-civil communication. At the same time, the main emphasis is on the formation of such a communication model, in which its use perspectives are focused on the final results, on the basis of quantitative measurement of its efficiency indicators, from the public viewpoint. It has been proved that the standards of state-civil communication in most European countries cover two aspects: quality standards for policy and management, in order to achieve optimal participation of citizens and interest groups in the decision-making process; the level of standards for citizens that can be used to assess the quality of administrative behavior of public authorities. The mechanisms of public administration, historical traditions, achievements and communicative miscalculations in the establishment of trust between public authorities and the public in independent Ukraine are determined, the main reason for which is the long-term stay in a colonial position. Detecting its own inability to form a sovereign state, the Ukrainian community naturally turned out to be dependent on more cohesive and more powerful neighbors.

The role of sociological research in the strategy of planning advertising campaigns has been has been considered. Sociological research is the main supplier of data on the behavior of the target audience, its quantity, and the structure of its media consumption. On the basis of sociological data, a decision-making process is taking place on the choice of the required type of media, or media mix, the start time of the campaign and the frequency of advertising. With the assistence of sociological measurements delivered on an ongoing basis, calculate the efficiency of media indicators of advertising goods and services. One of the research areas is the evaluation of the content of advertising communication by consumers, the quality of creativity and the way of presenting information, the recognition of the key idea of advertising communication. For the needs of the advertising market, both qualitative and quantitative sociological studies are used.

PurposeOver the last few decades, microfinance industry is argued to have played a constructive role in alleviating poverty level and providing the underprivileged with access to financial services. Statistics from the World Bank reveal that, currently, only 4% of the underprivileged have been served out of the 3 billion+ potential clients. Such results are due to several claims, particularly the operational and financial challenges faced by microfinance institutions (MFIs) in the constant flux inviting more attentions towards its performance. While explicit attention is given by many researchers towards mobile banking and information and communication technology (ICT) in improving the MFIs’ performance, the study on how social media, as a rapidly growing online phenomenon, can impact on the MFIs’ performance remains scarce. As such, this study aims to investigate this impact based on four dimensional performance indicators: efficiency, financial sustainability, portfolio quality and outreach.Design/methodology/approachA model is proposed and tested to ascertain the relationship between social media applications and organisational performance. In so doing, web-based questionnaires have been used to collect data from MFI employees in developing countries. Results reveal a significant influence of the social media over the MFIs’ performance, offering valuable insights into both researchers and practitioners in the domain of microfinance, as well as social media—conforming that the adoption of social media as marketing, advertising and communication tools may significantly improve the MFIs’ performance.FindingsThe results demonstrate that there is a positive and significant impact of social media use within microfinance on the key indicators of MFIs. They also show that the highest impact of social media usage within the microfinance is on the portfolio quality. In addition, it was found that marketing and advertising; communication and sales and distribution are the main areas where social media is able to support while social networking websites are the most popular platforms employed in MFIs.Originality/valueThis study adds to the existing literature few theoretical and practical aspects. First, this study developed a model for assessing the value of social media as a new phenomenon within this type of organisation. Second, it offers microfinance sponsors, managers and policy makers with a frame of reference to understand what social media platform can be deployed for each purpose. Third, with the identification of the main MFIs’ performance indicators, this research provided a reference of performance measurement guide for microfinance industry when assessing different technological employment.

This manuscript considers sales within an automotive strategic group. Sales within the “Family Car” segment are examined. The efficient uses of inputs relative to the sales generated as determined by Data Envelopment Analysis are compared. The relative efficiencies are used to identify strategic groups within the market segment and to suggest how resources may be utilized more efficiently. Data Envelopment Analysis, (DEA), is used to compare three inputs and one output for several automobile manufacturers competing for sales in the same market segment. The three inputs used are two aggregate measures of quality and one measure of the dollar volume spent on advertising by the firms. The output measure used is the volume of sales each year over a five-year period. A Kruskal and Wallis rank test is performed to confirm that the data is comparable over the five year time period. Specifically, comparisons are made to establish that no significant changes in quality or advertising expenditures have occurred during the study period. Once it has been established that no significant changes occurred during the study period for the input and output measures for the individual automotive models. Next, firms are compared using the DEA efficiencies and are grouped according to these efficiencies. The efficiency measurements indicate that there are two distinct clusters of companies formed within the market segment. The most efficient cluster is composed of five firms. The least efficient cluster is composed of five firms. An intermediate cluster of two firms exists that is neither extremely efficient nor extremely inefficient in it’s utilization of resources but may be more closely aligned with the efficient firms than with the inefficient group. This stratification into groups within the market segment by efficiency suggests that practitioners might be able to adjust their utilization of resources to compete in a different strategic group. It also suggests that success within a strategic group may be impacted by how firms utilize strategic levers within their control.

In an article entitled "Palming the Planet", Ron Jasper, a marketing executive, is quoted describing his car trip from Seattle to Vancouver: "'The whole way up,' he says with glee ... 'I had my laptop [wirelessly connected to the office]. I was reading my e-mail. At the same time I checked my stock on this' -- he waves a new smart phone, sleek and easily palmed. 'At one point, I was talking on the phone, checking my stock on the laptop and steering with my knee'", he confided, "slightly embarrassed" by his admission. He concludes with the observation: "'These devices are making it possible for everyone to work in ways they never imagined before'". Leaving aside the obvious concerns over highway safety, I want to register the observation that Jasper's enthusiasm for the possibilities offered by his new phone and his elation over his ability to get more work done faster, are not in fact 'never-imagined' ways of working. Visions of efficiency and connectivity have been integral to the representations of communication technologies, especially the telephone, since the beginning of the twentieth century. Looking back on the images and descriptions of the telephone in the early 1900s reveals a similar fascination with the ability to transcend the mundane realities of time and space. The idea that 'faster is better' is not one born of our times, it is one that emerged and evolved out of the preoccupations of an earlier era. The contemporary obsession with faster connections and multiple function technologies is an amplification of a century-old preoccupation with speed and efficiency; just as the passion for "multi-tasking" is today's version of what a 1909 AT&T advertisement referred to as "the multiplication of power". The recurrence of similar utopic and dystopic themes seems to suggest that our hopes and fears about the possibilities of telephonic communication are regenerated with each technological advance. In this paper I explore some of the concepts which inform these representations and suggest that they function simultaneously as a critique and a celebration of the renewal of capitalism that seems to accompany technological progress. Capitalist Reveries In a speech to the New York Electric Club in 1889, Erastus Wiman, president of the Canadian telegraph system remarked: "if to accomplish things quickly, close transactions promptly, and generally to get through with things is a step toward a business man's millennium, then we must be nearing that heavenly expectation". He praises electricity, the telegraph, and the "most marvelous" telephone for making the businessman "almost divine in what he can achieve". Throughout the twentieth century, technology and technological developments have been embraced because they provided the means to radically improve speed, efficiency, and connectivity. As Wiman makes clear though, these attributes were not, and are not now, neutral or arbitrary values. Their worth is located in their application to the flow of goods, information, and ultimately to the circulation of capital. They are valuable because they facilitate a renewal of capitalism itself: the tremendous expansion of both capital and markets occurring at the end of both the nineteenth and the twentieth centuries is not unrelated to the technological developments of these eras. In the Grundrisse, Marx writes that "Capital by its nature drives beyond every spatial barrier. Thus the creation of the physical conditions of exchange -- of the means of communication and transport -- the annihilation of space by time -- becomes an extraordinary necessity for it". Improvements in the speed and flexibility of communication 'renew' capitalism because they overcome the temporal disadvantages associated with distance and facilitate the expansion of markets in geographic space. Perhaps more than any other communication technology, the telephone has encouraged and anticipated capitalism's utopic fantasies. It is no coincidence that in early advertisements, its promoters referred to the telephone as the "annihilator of time and space". Whatever other benefits the telephone came to be seen as offering, its ability to instantaneously transfer information and credit was perceived and promoted as its most perfect attribute. Linking together buyers and sellers in cities all across the country, the telephone re-organised the 'playing field' of capitalism. By making distance an increasingly irrelevant factor in the transaction of business, the telephone rearranged space and distance "to fit the rather strict temporal requirements of the circulation of capital". Time and Money According to Marx, "economy of time, to this all economy ultimately reduces itself". Wiman's celebration of the telegraph and the telephone at the New York Electric Club in 1889 is not much different than Jasper's delight with his smart phone and laptop computer as he careens down the highway towards Vancouver. Simply understood, the ability to save time translates into a saving of money but the relationship between time and money is not a straightforward one. Time and money appear as commensurate albeit inverse values because of the effect of the velocity of circulation on the accumulation of capital. They had come to be linked with the rise of wage labour and the practice of paying workers by the hour and in this sense, "money appears as measure". When in the mid-1700s Benjamin Franklin proclaimed that "time is money", and went on to explain their enigmatic relationship, he was describing more than a simple ratio. He that can earn ten shillings in a day by his labour, and goes abroad, or sits idle, one half of that day, though he spends but sixpence during his diversions or idleness, ought not to reckon that the only expense; he has really spent, or rather thrown away, five shillings besides. Franklin not only equates time spent working with money, but also proposes a conception of unproductive time as a negative cost, a tangible loss against potential profit. Following the logic of his formula, if misspent time is perceived as a deficit, time saved can be counted as a profit. This way of thinking counts all time as potentially profitable in an economic sense and confers a speculative value on time. Telephone advertising in the first decades of the twentieth century made explicit use of this formula and, in so doing, not only asserted the value of the instrument but also provided a way of imagining time in terms of its market value. The text of a 1909 advertisement reads: The mere item of time actually saved by those who use the telephone means an immense increase in the production of the nation's wealth every working day in the year ... just counting the time alone, over $3,000,000 a day is saved by the users of the telephone! Which means adding $3,000,000 a day to the nation's wealth. (Italics in original) Contemporary representations of the telephone continue to employ the idea that savings of transaction time can be accumulated and converted into working capital. In a 1990 article on mobile offices in the financial magazine Money, a Los Angeles attorney is quoted as saying that his cell phone and mobile fax machine have "added two hours to my day and 25% to my annual gross". A 1993 survey of cell phone users by Motorola reported its findings in similar terms. Those canvassed claimed that a cellular phone "added 0.92 hours to their productive working day [and] increased their own or their company's revenues by 19 percent". This kind of temporal accounting involves two basic conceptual manoeuvres which can only occur if time is 'emptied' of its social value or meaning, leaving it available to take on a new and purely economic significance. First, in order to calculate time in terms of both its actual and speculative monetary value, it must be conceived in abstract terms, the value of each minute standardised and conceived as a unit of measurement. Second, and following from the first, because now each minute of the day has the same relative monetary value, the entire 24-hour day, not just the traditional 8-hour workday, comes to be imagined as zone for commercial activity. Prior to the telephone, the partition of the day into work and family time was safeguarded by the physical separation of the business and the domestic spheres. Even the telegraph, because its use was largely restricted to the workplace, did little to challenge the partition between public and private domains. The telephone, as it became increasingly ubiquitous in both offices and homes, disturbed these boundaries and expropriated time previously reserved for rest, relaxation and social activities for all manner of commercial uses. AT&T's declaration in an ad entitled "The Always-on-Duty Telephone" (1910) that "the whole Bell System is on duty 1440 minutes a day" also must have stirred anxiety with its conclusion that "if any of these minutes are not used, their earning power is irrevocably lost". As the "1440 minute" day expanded the potential for profit, it also increased competition and established new expectations. Social Anxieties The logic of capital's never-ending drive to renew itself dictates that time saved by technology is perceived not as "free time" but as potential profit, which must be reinvested or lost. Booster though he was of modern communication technologies, Wiman could not help but observe: One would think that the ability ... to talk freely over the telephone would so facilitate business pursuits and close up transactions so quickly that it would beget leisure, rest and quiet, but such is not the case. The thirst for achievement is so great ... that the more we do, the more we seek to do. We are no more encouraged to use the extra two or .92 hours gained by the cellphone for play or relaxation than we were when the telephone first began to speed up the tempo of our lives. Anxieties about the social effects of communications technologies are not new although they rarely manifest themselves in business discourse. Today, as business and technology publications celebrate each new communications innovation, general interest and women's magazines are more often questioning the impact of cell phones, pagers, palm pilots, and portable computers on family life and mental health. It is somehow both ironic and appropriate that during both periods, concerns about the social effects of telephone -- a medium of disembodied communication -- should manifest as anxieties about its negative corporeal effects. In 1889, an account in the British Medical Journal reported a new medical condition called "aural overpressure", an affliction suffered by those who used the telephone for extended periods of the work day. The "constant strain of the auditory apparatus" by prolonged telephone use was said to be responsible for "nervous excitability, buzzing in the ear, giddiness, and neuralgic pains". The Electrical Review recounted cautionary tales of individuals driven mad by the telephone's "constant ringing". In 2000, we find Scientific American and Time investigating the possible links between cellphone use and brain tumors. Despite the consistently inconclusive findings of multiple scientific studies, the British government ruled that cellphones sold in the United Kingdom must carry health notices that warn "people to be careful about where and how long they use them", and American cellphone retailers have voluntarily begun to include "a one page health-and-safety bulletin" with all cellphones they sell. Warren Susman suggests that examining the anxieties associated with any given technology can provide useful insight into the cultural values at stake for its users. According to the scientific experts of their day, both "aural overpressure" and brain tumors are avoided by reducing the amount of time spent on the telephone, perhaps less time working and possibly more time in the pursuit of other more socially oriented activity. It is possible to look at these panics around physical and mental well-being as a reassertion of the social, of the body, a sort of return of the repressed, at those historical moments the alienating effects of capitalism are being exacerbated by the uses to which we put technology. If, as Marx writes, the "circulation of capital constantly ignites itself anew" then it seems logical that the discourses which circulate around the telephone and communications technologies will continue to renew themselves at key historical moments. Advances in telecommunications at the end of both the nineteenth and twentieth centuries have inspired similar desires and elicited comparable anxieties because they have been driven by a common motive: the search for the competitive advantage that drives both capital and technological development alike. The book consists of 21 chapters, which deal with various topics chosen by the authors as the most relevant for creating the basis for entering into the world of tourism economy: tourism demand, forecasting, tourism supply and pricing strategies, measurements of tourists’ economic contribution, as well as economic impacts and benefits, tourism investments and taxation, tourism and aviation, tourism and environment, including climate change, destination competitiveness and future directions.The first chapter gives an overview of the book, along with the questions which were raised and short explanations of chosen materials and tools. Tourist demand is discussed in chapter 2. It provides an excellent introduction into the complexity of the tourist demand modelling. Tourist demand definition and exhibition of four main types of elasticity (price, income, cross-price and marketing/advertising elasticity) are explained in this chapter. Chapter 3 refers to forecasting in tourism which is complex since tourism is highly influenced by “outside” factors such as natural disasters. Further chapters are focused on tourism supply and pricing in tourism. Tourism is referred as an ‘industry’ despite the lack of its direct involvement in any productive activity. It combines tangible and intangible products, goods and services, creating a unique product positioned on the market with a certain price.Chapter 6 defines the terms concerning the “economic impacts” on tourism – positive and negative, “economic contribution” to the destination and the “benefits and costs” of the destination, since, for economists, they hold different meanings. In the next chapter, the authors introduce an internationally recognized TSA (Tourism satellite accounts) method, used in measuring of the economic contribution of tourism. This chapter provides a definition of the TSA and its role as a statistics tool but, also, presents a framework for the countries to create their own statistical system, describes different approaches in designing of the TSA and ways of evaluating it.In chapter 8, the application of I-O (Input-Output) model in tourism poli- cies is described from a critical point of view, as I-O has a “limited policy relevance for tourism”, which is clearly indicated. Subsequently, the next chapter discusses CGE (Computable general equilibrium) modelling. CGE model is used by the international organisations such as the IMF and the World Bank, and is increasingly being used in tourism policies instead of the I-O model. It is very useful and important to explore both models when estimating economic contri- bution of tourism in order to be able to understand why CGE model represents more sophisticated and accurate results, and the limitations of both models. In the next chapter, CBA (cost benefit analysis) method is introduced. This method is used for the evaluation of investments in tourist projects, programs, regula- tions, developments or policies. Chapter 11 explores the economic evaluation of special events as an important part of the destination offer, job creation, income increase, and social and economic developments of the destination in general.Investments of tourist firms, difference between capital and financial investments, private and public investments and domestic and foreign tourist investments are discussed in chapter 12. Like any other investments, tourism investments are faced with risk taking and uncertainty. This chapter provides various techniques used for calculating the rate of interest, types of capital investments to select, optimal level of investments, assessments of the refund period, and describes common pitfalls which should be avoided in capital budgeting, and all the challenges of tourism investments. The next chapter discusses investments in tourism infrastructure. Chapter 14 explains the motives of foreign investments and gives a realistic review of the benefits and costs for the host destination. This chapter is especially useful for students of tourism and tourism managers in the developing countries, in order to be conscious about its positive and negative sides, as well as to be prepared and mindful for the creation of sustainable tourism.Chapter 15 concerns taxation of travel and tourism by defining the types of tourist taxes and their effects, economic reasons and negative sides of tourism taxation. The criteria for well formulated taxation are “efficiency, equitability and administrative simplicity”, and to create such a taxation policy, one must understand the economics of supporting of the tourism taxation well.Chapter 16 is the only one dealing with transportation in tourism, aviation in particular.Preservation of environment is one of the main topics nowadays and its destruction was often connected and defined as a negative impact of tourism. In chapter 17, both negative and positive environmental impacts of tourism are explored. This chapter provides detailed descriptions of generally accepted and mostly used practical methods in measuring non-use value of an environmental amenity with all the limitations, advantages and practical/explanatory examples of using these particular methods. The next chapter describes the economic instruments used in decreasing the negative impact of tourism on the environment, many of which concern the reduction in pollution, and the ways in which they differ depending on the site and the necessity of preservation and protection.Another relevant topic discussed in chapter 19 interrelates tourism and climate change.In chapter 20, indexes of measuring destination competitiveness are reflected. They discuss a well-known measure called the Travel and TourismCompetitiveness Index, which was used by 133 countries in 2009, but also, they provide 3 measures developed by them: Destination Price Competitiveness Index, Tourism Trade Index and Aviation Trade Weighted Index. Chapter 21 discusses future directions of each topic discussed in the book. It could also be used as a students’ research assignment, for the comparison with the present “situation”.The book is mainly intended for students of tourism management, tourism economics and destination managers. As an introduction to every chapter, learning objectives are presented, followed by a short summary of topics are to be discussed. All the chapters end with a conclusion and policy, self-reviewed questions and essay questions.The book presents an excellent overview of tourism economics and policies, but it also indicates many other challenges with which tourism as such is confronted. Despite the fact that it emphasizes those issues mainly from the economic point of view, it is useful in creating a solid basic background, and provides an introduction to tourism in general.

Therefore, the problem of rational use of natural resources, in particular protection of early spring plant species is very important. However, literary sources analysis only reveals data on the biology of species of this genus. The present research,conducted in the spring of 2017-2019, focuses on anatomical and morphological features of two Altai species: Gagealutea and Gagea minima; these features were studied, clarified and confirmed by drawings and photographs. The anatomical structure of the stem and leaf blade was studied in detail. The obtained research results will prove useful for studies of medicinal raw materials and honey plants. Kolomytseva, DOI: https://doi.org/10.26782/jmcms.spl.10/2020.06.00042 Abstract: This study was aimed at examining the influence of succession cropping on the economic efficiency of no-till field crop rotations on the black earth in the zone of unstable moistening of the Stavropol krai. A long-term stationary experiment was conducted to examine for the purpose nine field crop rotation patterns different in the number of fields (four to six), set of crops, and their succession in crop rotation. The respective shares of legumes, oilseeds, and cereals in the cropping pattern were 17 to 33, 17 to 40, and 50 to 67 %. It has been established that in case of no-till field crop cultivation the economic efficiency of plant production depends on the set of crops and their succession in rotation. The most economically efficient type of crop rotation is the soya-winter wheat-peas-winter wheat-sunflower-corn six-field rotation with two fields of legumes: in this rotation 1 ha of crop rotation area yields 3 850 grain units per ha at a grain unit prime cost of 5.46 roubles; the plant production output return and profitability were 20,888 roubles per ha and 113 %, respectively. The high production profitabilities provided by the soya-winter wheat-sunflower four-field and the soya-winter-wheat-sunflower-corn-winter wheat five-field crop rotation are 108.7 and 106.2 %, respectively. The inclusion of winter wheat in crop rotation for two years in a row reduces the second winter wheat crop yield by 80 to 100 %, which means a certain reduction in the grain unit harvesting rate to 3.48-3.57 thousands per ha of rotation area and cuts the production profitability down to 84.4-92.3 %. The relevance of the topic has to do with an increased global interest in this region. The paper is aimed at considering the basic principles of developing and the procedure of testing seismic instruments for use at ultralow climatic temperatures. In this paper the indicated issue is considered through the example of a seismic module designed for petroleum and gas exploration by passive seismoacoustic methods. The seismic module is a direct-burial portable unit of around 5 kg in weight, designed to continuously measure and record microseismic triaxial orthogonal (ZNE) noise in a range from 0.1 to 45 Hz during several days in autonomous mode. The functional chart of designing the seismic module was considered, and concrete conclusions were made for choosing the necessary components to meet the ultralow-temperature operational requirements. The conclusions made served for developing appropriate seismic module. In this case, the components and tools used included a SAFT MP 176065 xc low-temperature lithium cell, industrial-spec electronic component parts, a Zhaofeng Geophysical ZF-4.5 Chinese primary electrodynamic seismic sensor, housing seal parts made of frost-resistant silicone materials, and finely dispersed silica gel used as water-retaining sorbent to avoid condensation in the housing. The paper also describes a procedure of low-temperature collation tests at the lab using a New Brunswick Scientific freezing plant. The test results proved the operability of the developed equipment at ultralow temperatures down to -55°C. In addition, tests were conducted at low microseismic noises in the actual Arctic environment. The possibility to detect signals in a range from 1 to 10 Hz at the level close to the NLNM limit (the Peterson model) has been confirmed, which allows monitoring and exploring petroleum and gas deposits by passive methods. As revealed by this study, the suggested approaches are efficient in developing high-precision mobile seismic instruments for use at ultralow climatic temperatures. The solution of the considered instrumentation and methodical issues is of great practical significance as a constituent of the generic problem of Arctic exploration. The article analyzes the results of treatment of patients with excess length of the second metatarsal bones that underwent osteotomy with and without osteosynthesis. The results of treatment of patients who underwent metatarsal shortening due to classical Weil-osteotomy with and without osteosynthesis were analyzed. The first group consisted of 34 patients. They underwent classical Weil osteotomy. The second group included 44 patients in whomosteotomy of the second metatarsal bone were not by the screw. When studying the results of the treatment in the immediate postoperative period, weeks 6, 12, slightly better results were observed in patients of the first group, while one year after surgical treatment the results in both groups were comparable. One year after surgical treatment, there were 2.9% (1 patient) of unsatisfactory results in the first group and 4.5% (2 patients) in the second group. Considering the comparability of the results of treatment in remote postoperative period, the choice of concrete method remains with the operating surgeon. Methods. A prospective 3-year study of 86 healthy dogs (aged 1-7 yrs) of different breeds and of both sexes. Echo homogeneity and echogenicity of the stomach and intestines wall were determined by the method of Silina, T.L., et al. (2010) in absolute values ​​of average brightness levels of ultrasound image pixels using the 8-bit scale with 256 shades of gray. Results. Quantitative echogenicity indicators of the stomach and the small intestine wall in dogs were determined. Based on the numerical values ​​characterizing echogenicity distribution in each layer of a separate structure of the digestive system, the coefficient of gastric echogenicity is determined as 1:2.4:1.1 (mucosa/submucosa/muscle layers, respectively), the coefficient of duodenum and jejunum echogenicity is determined as 1:3.5:2 and that of ileum is 1:1.8:1. Clinical significance. Datieva, DOI: https://doi.org/10.26782/jmcms.spl.10/2020.06.00046 Abstract: The aim of this work was to assess the functional reserves of the body to quantify individual health; adaptation, psychophysiological characteristics of the health quality of medical students in different seasons of the year. When studying the temporal organization of physiological functions, the rhythm parameters of physiological functions were determined, followed by processing the results using the Cosinor Analysis program, which reveals rhythms with an unknown period for unequal observations, evaluates 5 parameters of sinusoidal rhythms (mesor, amplitude, acrophase, period, reliability). The essence of desynchronization is the mismatch of circadian rhythms among themselves or destruction of the rhythms architectonics (instability of acrophases or their disappearance). Desynchronization with respect to the rhythmic structure of the body is of a disregulatory nature, most pronounced in pathological desynchronization. High neurotism, increased anxiety reinforces the tendency to internal desynchronization, which increases with stress. During examination stress, students experience a decrease in the stability of the temporary organization of the biosystem and the tension of adaptive mechanisms develops, which affects attention, mental performance and the quality of adaptation to the educational process. Time is shortened and the amplitude of the “initial minute” decreases, personal and situational anxiety develops, and the level of psychophysiological adaptation decreases. The results of the work are priority because they can be used in assessing quality and level of health. Tsvetkov, DOI: https://doi.org/10.26782/jmcms.spl.10/2020.06.00047 Abstract: The present study of comparison methods based on the triadic model introduces the following concepts: the relation of comparability and the relation of comparison, and object comparison and attributive comparison. The difference between active and passive qualitative comparison is shown, two triadic models of passive and active comparison and models for comparing two and three objects are described. Triadic comparison models are proposed as an alternative to dyadic comparison models. Comparison allows finding the common and the different; this approach is proposed for the analysis of the nomothetic and ideographic method of obtaining knowledge. The nomothetic method identifies and evaluates the general, while the ideographic method searches for unique in parameters and in combinations of parameters. Triadic comparison is used in systems and methods of argumentation, as well as in the analysis of consistency/inconsistency. This dissertation is focused on copywriting or writing advertising content for online stores. Its main objective is to create instructions for writing successful text for online stores based on synthesis. Simultaneously, another aim of my dissertation is to use these findings in copywriting for selected e-shops. Both theoretical and practical parts are based on professional resources and my own experiences with copywriting beginning in 2006. This document is structured in three main parts. In the first part, I focus on theoretical recommendations for writing advertising content. In addition to creating product descriptions, this chapter deals with the preparation of texts for categories, home pages, shipping and payment sections, about us pages, articles and microcopy. In the next chapter, I describe measuring and evaluating the performance of advertising texts for online stores. The third part is devoted to the application of theoretical knowledge and to writing texts for selected eshops, including an evaluation of their success. Thanks to the selected structure, this dissertation covers almost all issues of copywriting for eshops. Chapters are structured in the same way as my usual copywriting process. I believe that my dissertation will become a useful knowledge resource for beginners and advanced copywriters, Internet marketing experts and online store owners. Selected parts of my dissertation are enhanced by my own experience, knowledge and demonstration examples. Most of them can be found on real company websites and online stores. Also, I continually refer to related resources that may be useful for every reader with deeper interest in this issue.

This dissertation explores the intricacies associated with the use of distance functions in empirical studies. It focuses on the measurement of advertising efficiency and investigates the properties of the models that seek to approximate the abatement costs of socially undesirable outputs. The first manuscript is devoted to the development of the algorithm that can be used to measure the efficiency with which firms market their brands in the presence of advertising by rivals. An empirical illustration is carried out using the data from the U.S. brewing industry. The second study analyzes the difficulties associated with the accurate approximation of the abatement costs of socially undesirable outputs. It contrasts the results from a variety of different shadow-pricing models, each of which relies on a different type of distance functions that are used to approximate the polluting technology. The shadow prices of sulfur dioxide are computed using linear programming techniques and the data from the U.S. electric utility industry. The third manuscript shows how a generalized method of moments (GMM) algorithm can be used to estimate the parameters of certain types of distance functions; the empirical illustration is carried out using the data set from the second study. The first manuscript illustrates that advertising spillovers are important in brewing and shows that the estimates of marketing efficiency are inaccurate when spillover effects are present and ignored. The second study shows that the shadow price estimates of socially undesirable outputs are not invariant to the assumptions regarding the parametric form of production technology and can in fact be predetermined by selecting a specific model. Finally, the third study established the legitimacy of the GMM procedure as a choice of an algorithm for the shadow pricing of undesirable outputs.

This thesis report follows a Work Project (WP) developed at the leading Portuguese telco (MEO) on the topic of performance measurement of digital marketing (DM) display campaigns. The WP ought to solve issues such as lack of coordination, internal misinformation, data fragmentation and lack of return-centricity of MEO’s digital campaigns’ department. In the end, with a key focus on the use of Web Analytics, a concrete process for campaign ROI calculation was developed, as it was an identified gap, along with several complementary recommendations aiming at the optimization of the firm’s digital performance measurement capabilities.
