This thesis is part of the field of the characterization of wireless communication systems using antennas diversity. Indeed, such systems allow fighting against the signals fading, when the terminal is inside a strong multipath environment. The issue of such research is: to study the association of multiple antennas at transmitting and/or receiving sides to improve the link budget, and the capacity of wireless systems, (decrease of BER (Bit Error Rate), increase of throughput …). This thesis takes an interest to the electromagnetic aspect, and signal processing. In order to understand the involved phenomena, and to characterize the terminal performance, it should be placed in a controlled multipath propagation environment in time, and in space. This brings us to find measurement methodologies able to reproduce models of realistic propagation channels. As part of this thesis the method used is the reverberation chamber. In this thesis we are interested in the time aspect. Reverberation chamber (RC) is considered as a useful tool to emulate rich multipath environments. In this contribution, this device is employed to emulate multi clusters channel models (cluster is defined as a group of multipath), and evaluate performance of wireless communication systems. This evaluation is performed with real time and not-real time measurements. It remains to note that among the objectives set out in this PhD thesis is to obtain electromagnetic simulation model of the reverberation chamber based on circuit approach, in order to determine the channel transfer function versus losses quantities

One has to have the knowledge of the transepithelial absorption method for active molecules, as it is a necessity for rational formulation. Among various in vitro methods, the Ussing chamber technique stands out not only by its relative ease to implement, but mostly through the practical arrangements of the molecules through the digestive epithelium (active/passive transport, paracellular/transcellular, transport efflux, metabolic effects) and electrophysiological characteristics and viability of the tissue.Firstly, we will present the general principles of the technique, the electrical parameters used for the interpretation of physiological data. Eventually, we will suggest a methodology for evaluating the transmembrane passage of active molecules. The experimental part of the work is aimed to evaluate the contribution of this model approach when it comes to measuring the impact of the formulations of molecules (solutions or colloidal dispersions) on the flow of absorption. So initially we worked around with two molecule models, paracetamol and vitamin C, as the nature of physiological solutions implemented could have a significant effect on the electrophysiological function of the membrane, it could change its conductance, and therefore change its transepithelial permeability.Secondly, concerning the collaborative work, we used the Ussing model to characterize the absorption of molecules when they were previously associated with various colloidal systems. On the one hand, we have shown that the combination of resveratrol, a very hydrophobic molecule, has microemulsions which allow an increase by a factor from x6 to x11, the passage of transresveratrol compared to native resveratrol. Additionally, we also showed that the combination of heparin, a lower molecular weight, extremely hydrophilic and poorly absorbed, but when associated with squalene nanoparticles, makes it possible to significantly increase the absorption flow.As a conclusion, all our work shows through Ussing chamber model, that when one wants to detail the physico-chemical and biological mechanisms, the nanoparticles can indeed improve the digestive passage, for those molecules which are poorly absorbed naturally

In general, inhalation of particles is at the origin of inflammatory and oxidative reactions who are responsible of the degradation of biological cellular constituents, and could have a strong cardiovascular impact. The wood combustion is a major source of semivolatile organic compounds such as the methoxyphenols (MPs) including coniferyl aldehyde (CA), syringaldehyde (SR), or acetosyringone (AS). The MPs are however few studies into literature while toxicity of other compounds also from biomass combustion, as carbon monoxide, soot and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon are intensively studies. This work has shown by GC/MS that aging in simulated atmosphere (ozone + light rays) degraded CA in secondary products less cytotoxic, studies on fribroblastes culture but keep the atmospherical level of SR and AS which have a toxicity proved.A device of MPs particle production original by atomization, with a check system (height, composition, weight) and exposition flow continuous (Ø~50 nm, N~7E4 particles/cm3, m~5 µg/m3) adapted to little animals, was developed and validated, allowed the first study in vivo with these molecules. Between 1 and 3 month of exposition to rat Wistar, show modified antioxidant defences and cardiac modification (ischaemia/reperfusion) principally with AS, then CA and less SR. The adaptatives processes (remodeling) are demonstrated after 5 month of exposition.Furthermore, it is showed in vitro on lung adenocacinum cell lines (A549), CA induced a monolayer destructuration and apoptosis (caspase 3) but no effect proinflammatory (IL8, Cox-2 and iNOS).To conclude, this work contributes to study the impact of MPs in vitro and in vivo

The uniqueness of Oldoinyo Lengai to emit natrocarbonatite lavas makes this volcano a natural laboratory to study the genesis of these magmas. New helium isotopic data permit to assert that the signature of the fumaroles has been constant since 1988 despite the radical morphological change of the summit crater after the last sub-Plinian eruption in 2007-2008. The alternation of the effusive and explosive eruptions does not cause major modifications in the hydrothermal system architecture, which is inferred to be deeply rooted. Cognate xenoliths that were emitted during the eruption in 2007-2008 represent a unique opportunity to document the igneous processes occurring within the active magma chamber. The comparison between the noble gas (helium) isotopic compositions of the active magma chamber and those of the other silicate volcanoes of the Arusha region indicates that both types of magmatism have similar sources, identified as being a typical sub-continental lithospheric mantle, which was previously metasomatized by asthenospheric fluids. Moreover, these isotopic signatures confirm that no crustal contamination has occurred during the magma ascent from the mantle to the surface. Detailed petrographic descriptions coupled to a thermo-barometric approach, and to the determination of volatile solubility models for a phonolite composition, allow us to identify the melt evolution at magma chamber conditions and the storage parameters. These results indicate that the magma injected in 2007 has a phonolitic composition and contains a high amount of volatiles (3.2 wt.% H2O and 1.4 wt.% CO2) as well as a temperature around 1060° C. This magma subsequently evolved in the crustal magma chamber located at 11.5 ± 3.5 km depth until reaching a nephelinite composition and a temperature of 880°C. During the differentiation in the magma chamber, the silicate magma is enriched in calcium, sodium, magnesium and iron, whereas the content of silicate, potassium and aluminum decreases. Our results support previous studies related to this eruption, and are similar to the historical products emitted during the whole volcano history, permitting the suggestion that no major modification in the plumbing system has occurred during the Oldoinyo Lengai evolution. The trace elements (REE, LILE and HFSE) measured in the minerals and melt inclusions reveal a concentration reaching 100 to 1000 times the primitive mantle composition. A preliminary experimental study based on the recharge melt composition (phonolite) and identified magma chamber conditions (P, T) permits to reproduce the immiscibility between silicate and carbonatite liquids, key processes at the origin of the Oldoinyo Lengai carbonatites. The continuation of this experimental study will lead to a better comprehension of the carbonatite genesis, thus improving our understanding of the processes that are responsible for the enrichment in trace elements

By any standard, victim participation is a relatively new phenomenon in international criminal law proceedings. Incredible advances have been made in the effort to end impunity for crimes against
umanity, war crimes, genocide and, more recently, aggression. As a result, great strides have been made in ensuring the direct participation of victims of grave violations of human rights
in court proceedings against their perpetrators. Prior to this, grave violations of human rights committed during conflicts or periods of mass violence were either largely ignored or even if action
was taken, victims of the crimes hardly had a &lsquo
say&rsquo
in the proceedings. With the advent of the International Criminal Court (ICC) and the Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia (ECCC)

new dawn in the proceedings of international criminal law has emerged. The statutes that govern the ICC and ECCC have given a voice to victims in court proceeding buy ensuring
victims participation.Despite these advances, scholars have criticized victim participation for being inconsistent in its application at the International Criminal Court.1 The criticism has come from
scholars who have highlighted the unintended consequences of victim participation in court proceedings, arguing that their participation has resulted in the under- or misrepresentation of the
actual experience of survivors of war, mass violence, or repression. These problems have arisen largely because the need to establish the guilt or innocence of the accused and to protect their
due process rights, to abide by the rules of evidence and procedure, and to conserve judicial resources all cut against victim-witnesses'ability to tell their stories at these tribunals thereby
resulting in a limited, and sometimes inaccurate, record of victims' experience.

This research explores the mechanisms for sharing the interpretation of music from the point of view of the performers. It is based on an experiment on the ground realised with a professional contemporary music ensemble. The work was observed and analised according to the principles of the Action Research and the Constant Comparative Method of Strauss and Corbin, with the purpose of describing and classifying the behavior of musicians and understanding and clarifying the modality of communication and interaction between them. The experiment was about two works of Anglo-Saxon composers (Ensemble by Tim Parkinson and Treatise by Cornelius Cardew) issued from ‘open works’ repertoire, because its demand to the interpreters to define the final form of music lead to a collective process on the interpretation that multiplies communication and interaction between musicians.Data analysis led us to think that the musicians share the expressive core of music–for his nature unspeakable–through a kind of embodied knowledge and intuition, that can exist only if every participant is open to the others. The quality of relationships between musicians is a prerequisite for sharing the interpretation. Its fundamentals are not conveyed by words but flows between the musicians through the identification with the others and through the musical material itself, the sound.Verbal communication is limited, in most cases, to the technical speech, that, often hiddens expressive thoughts behind the words. Our hypothesis is that the activation of the mirror neurons system allows partners to understand gestures such as emotions, but verification must await further research in the field of neurosciences

The thesis centers itself on the trendy concept of post-truth, which in 2016 was named the word of the year by Oxford Dictionaries (BBC 2016). The trend emerged due to the alleged post-factual epoch we have entered. An epoch where the relationship to truth has come to be secondary and where a communication to feelings and conviction has come to be all the more important. Nowhere is this more evident than on social media. Using critical discourse analysis as a method, the Facebook groups, inte rasist men and #sverigeärfullt were analyzed. Questions that the thesis set out to answer was what content dominates in the two groups, what recurring notions are expressed and, what are the facts in these groups and how do they produce and reproduce this? The focus of the analysis was on how the frameworks in the two Facebook groups differ in their structure, but also appear similar in their discursive practices. Here, focus was on how both groups use post-truths and bullshit to build the frameworks within the groups and to question other frameworks that arise in opposition to the prevailing one. The groups' own justification exists in the conflict to the intended counterparty, which often is described as lying and being deceitful.

The development of a deuterium-deuterium/ tritium-deuterium (D-D/ D-T) pulsed neutron generator based on the principle of the Plasma Immersion Ion Implantation (PI3) technique is presented, in terms of investigating development of a compact system to generate an ultra short burst of mono-energetic neutrons (of order 1010 per second) during a short period of time (<
20&mu
s) at repetition rates up to 1 kHz. The system will facilitate neutron detection techniques, such as neutron back-scattering, neutron radiography and time-of-flight activation analysis.
Aspects addressed in developing the system includes (a) characterizing the neutron spectra generated as a function of the target configuration/ design to ensure a sustained intense neutron flux for long periods of time, (b) the system was also characterised as a function of power supply operating conditions such as voltage, current, gas pressure and plasma density.

ACTAR TPC (ACtive TARget and Time Projection Chamber) is a next generation active target that was designed and built at GANIL (Grand Accélérateur d'Ions Lourds). Active targets are gaseous targets in which the gas is also used to track charged particles following the principles of time projection chambers (TPC). The TPC of ACTAR has a segmented anode of 16384 2 mm side square pixels. The high density of pixels is processed using the GET (General Electronics for TPCs) electronic system. This system also digitizes the signals over a time interval, enabling a full 3D event reconstruction. An eight time smaller demonstrator was first built to verify the electronics operation and the mechanical design. ACTAR TPC's final design was based on results obtained with the demonstrator which was tested using 6Li, 24Mg and 58Ni beams. The commissioning of ACTAR TPC was then carried out for the case of resonant scattering on a proton target using 18O and 20Ne beams. A track reconstruction algorithm is used to extract the angles and energies of the ions involved in the reactions. Results are compared to previous data to determine the detection system performances. Comparing the commissioning data with R matrix calculations, excitation functions resolutions in different cases are obtained. The use of ACTAR TPC is validated for future experiments. Furthermore, alpha clustering was studied in 10B through the resonant scattering 6Li + 4He, carried out with the demonstrator. Two resonances at 8.58 MeV and 9.52 MeV are observed for the first time in elastic scattering with this reaction channel

Admissibility is the heart of the judicial process. It studies the criminalization of international life. It seems to account for the judicial response to the international resentment against the great criminal acts, whatever was the territory of commission. This thesis deals with the notion of admissibility before the ICC. With the creation of the ICC, International Criminal Justice is a new dimension. The practice of the Court is still new. The study is an excuse to investigate the operation of the ICC. States have tried to limit the ability to receive from the Court. They did so based on the principle of complementarity. It compensates the action or inaction of failing states, which have a duty to prosecute international crimes. Article 17 RS sets out exceptions to declare a case admissible before the ICC. Thus, the admissibility of a case which is the subject of an investigation will be accepted only, if it is shown that States did not intend genuinely to carry out prosecutions. And that furthermore, the threshold of gravity of a case is reached. The universal nature of the jurisdiction of the ICC is undermined by the conditions of admissibility. Analyzing the admissibility of competence as a condition rightly, for it is the failure of the state to ensure effective prosecution to justify that the case will be declared by the Court itself, admissible. The requirements for the Court to act, it is clear involvement of the system of admissibility as on the organization of the Court that its relationship with the United States. These are not insignificant. In fact, the system will evolve admissibility. It is characterized by its ability to influence the law. Thus, the decision to receive should encourage States to adapt their domestic law. The viability of the Court, in the long run depends on maintaining a synergy of cooperation with national courts of States Parties and other States. The system of admissibility tends to highlight indicators emerging in the practice of the International Criminal Court. This is especially striking realignment of the roles of international actors and the new relationship established between the States and the Court. The system of admissibility of the Court tends to erode the principle of state sovereignty, without itself being swept by the opposition of sovereign states

Jet engine certification undergoes more and more stringent controls that impose a strong reduction of pollutant emissions. As a response, designs move towards lean combustion, which raises difficulties relative to combustion stability and re-ignition capabilities in high altitude. The use of liquid fuels in real chambers introduces new variables into the ignition process, which involves complex simultaneous multi-physical interactions. The present experimental investigation addresses different phases of aeronautical ignition in two different confined, swirled, spray jet chambers. A single-injector facility is used to study the initial flame kernel development and interaction with the flow leading to successful ignition or misfire, following different mechanisms. A multi-injector facility enables the investigation of flame propagation between injectors, which is also governed by the local flow. Here, inter-injector distances are varied and fuels of different volatilities are tested

Oscillation of advanced facilities at natural frequency of vibration isolation system will be induced by moving gantry on them. It will affect the operation of these facilities if oscillation damps slowly. In general solution, traditional damper is used to retard the natural frequency oscillation. But it will deteriorate the performance of vibration isolation. In this study, we use the dual-chamber pneumatic isolator combined with electro-pneumatic proportional valve to control the flow rate between the two chambers using Fuzzy logic algorithm. Hence, it can adjust the damping coefficient of isolator system to dissipate the oscillation rapidly and still retain the performance of vibration isolation. The results of experiment show that the advanced facilities can be restored quickly by using the fuzzy control to adjust the damping coefficient of isolation system.

With the progress of Hi-Tech industry, the products have already reached the level of micro/nano-meter. During the processing or measuring course of micro/nanotechnology, we must consider the environmental effect that have a fundamental influence on the temperature and vibration control. The aim of this thesis is to develop a mini-environment chamber with high precision active vibration isolation and constant temperature control. The environment chamber is designed as the separation type that can separate the operational vibration from the cooling chamber. The temperature of the chamber is controlled by the thermoelectric cooling units. The temperature control method employs the PI control. This design can not only reduce the vibration from the cooling elements but also obtain the good constant temperature control of chamber. The active vibration isolation system consists of the active vibration isolation unit, spring and platform. The main components of the active vibration isolation unit are the self-developed optical accelerometer, and VCM actuator. In this system, the commercial DVD pickup head is used as the sensor which combines the special designed seismic structure to form an optical accelerometer. The voice coil motor (VCM) is taken from the loudspeaker as the actuator that paralleled with the spring to form an anti-vibration actuator. The optical accelerometer and anti-vibration actuator are integrated into an active vibration isolation unit. Moreover, the vibration control algorithm employs the optimal independent modal space control (Optimal IMSC) to obtain optimal feedback force command. The mini environment chamber with the high precision active vibration isolation and constant temperature control is developed in this work. This innovation not only reduces the cost but also benefits further researches in the field of micr/nano-meter.

A method for a comprehensive approach to analysis of the dynamics of an actively controlled combustion chamber, with detailed analysis of the combustion models for the case of a solid rocket propellant, is presented here. The objective is to model the system as interconnected blocks describing the dynamics of the chamber, combustion and control (including sensors and actuators).
The analytical framework for the analysis of the dynamics of a combustion chamber is based on spatial averaging, as introduced by Culick. This method results in the determination of a set of coupled oscillator equations that are then integrated with the appropriate forcing terms deriving from combustion and control.
Combustion dynamics are analyzed for the case of a solid propellant. Considerable data exists suggesting that the response functions for many solid propellants tend to have higher values, in some ranges of frequencies, than predicted by the conventional quasi-steady theory. Hence, quasi-steady theory is extended to include the dynamics of the gas-phase and also of a surface layer interposed between the gaseous flame zone and the heated solid phase of the propellant. The models are constructed so that they produce a combustion response function for the solid propellant that can be immediately introduced in the our analytical framework. The principal objective of this analysis is to determine which characteristics of the solid propellant are responsible for the large sensitivity, observed experimentally, of propellant burning response to small variations in the conditions. We show that velocity coupling, and not pressure coupling, has the potential to be the mechanism responsible for that high sensitivity. Some issues related to the modeling of solid propellant are also discussed, namely the importance of particulate modeling and its effect on the global dynamics of the chamber and a revisited interpretation of the intrinsic stability limit for burning of solid propellants.
Active control is also considered in the analysis. A critical discussion about the most commonly used control strategies used in combustion allows us to define which are the most promising algorithms to use on future experiments. Particular attention is devoted to the effect of time delay (between sensing and actuation) on the control strategy; several methods to compensate for it are presented and discussed, with numerical examples based on the approximate analysis produced by our framework.
Experimental results are presented for the case of a Dump Combustor. The combustor exhibits an unstable burning mode, defined through the measurement of the pressure trace and shadowgraph imaging. The transition between stable and unstable modes of operation is characterized by the presence of hysteresis, also observed in other experimental works, and hence not a special characteristic of this combustor. Control is introduced in the form of pulsed secondary fuel. We show the capability of forcing the transition from unstable to stable burning, hence extending the stable operating regime of the combustor. The transition, characterized by the use of a shadowgraph movie sequence, is attributed to a combined fluid-mechanic and combustion mechanism.

Light emitted diode has already been an inevitable trend to replace the cold cathode light, because of characteristics such as the low voltage of urging, no mercury, and high color reproduction. In order to reach the demand for the high intensity of illumination, we should resolve the problem of density of high fever emerging in the diode which will influence the performance of LCD system. Because LCD has limited spaces and needs low noise, “synthetic jet” is an extremely potential active heat dissipation component possessing the characteristics such as simple structure and easy control. This article proposes to design a chamber which can promote exchange rate between the central chamber and ambient. Annular chamber can induce cold fluid to central chamber because of the opposite phase between two chamber. We find that the block between central chamber and annular chamber we cut off is helpful to induce cold fluid from ambient to central chamber. That will keep the jet at low temperature during ejection every time. We also find that the vortex near the orifice of annular chamber plays an important role. The vortex can stop the fluid induce by annular chamber at pumping stroke.

Interdisciplinary creative teaching in Chinese :An action research on the situated-teaching of Red Chamber Banquet Abstract This study aims to understand how to apply interdisciplinary creative teaching in teaching Red Chamber Banquet, a famous Chinese classic novel. With action research and analytical hierarchy process (AHP), the participants came from students in Food Department, and Beverage and Cooking Department in a vocational school, Kaohsiung City. The factors of predicting students’ "Attitudinal", "Subjective Norms", "Perceived Behavior Control", "Behavioral Intentions", and "Persistent Behavioral Intentions" are explored in the study. The results show that "Attitudinal", "Subjective Norms", and "Perceived Behavioral Control" significantly predict "Behavioral Intentions", and "Perceived Behavioral Control" has the greatest impact on "Behavioral Intentions". In addition, "Behavioral Intentions" significantly predicts "Persistent Behavioral Intentions ". This study provides a model of interdisciplinary creative teaching in Chinese, and Chinese teachers can also apply the mode in teaching Chinese classical novels.

In the context of a society in which there is an urgent need to create jobs, this research considers, firstly, whether the current labour regulatory environment is flexible enough to allow for an employment scenario that is conducive to job creation. The research then considers what is meant by the policy of &lsquo
regulated flexibility&rsquo
and considers how flexibility operates in practice at NBC level. It is argued that the concept of flexibility is a misnomer &ndash
since it creates more problems than it solves. The research concludes with a call for real flexibility that will allow for increased investment and a greater supply of jobs.
