The purpose of this pan- Hellenic research was to study the aggressive behavior of students during sports activities and play in the school yard. Specifically, through the answers of 562 (100%) teachers (396 teachers 70% and 166 physical education 30%) the following were investigated: a) the existence and forms, the individual characteristics of children who receive or show aggression, the training of teachers and coping practices that help minimize forms of aggression, and b) differences in teachers' responses to gender, years of service, and specialization. A relevant questionnaire with a five-point scale was prepared and distributed electronically to all primary schools in Greece. Before descriptive and inductive statistics, the a-Cronbach test had showed a value of 0.898 and the control of bifurcation (Guttman) had showed a value of 0,789 which indicates that the questionnaire has good reliability. They were carried out the t-test control for independent samples, ANOVA and x2 control for the differences in the teachers’ answers regarding teachers’ gender, specialty, and years of service. The results showed that all teachers agree that there are forms of aggression during play and sports activity in the elementary school yard and these are distinguished into physical (pushing, kicking, pulling), verbal (swearing, mocking performance), emotional (social exclusion) and some are repetitive and deliberate. We have a significant difference between the teachers in terms of the methods they suggest and the actions they take to deal with the phenomenon. The teachers have done relevant training but this is not enough. They need even more to deal with the phenomenon on their part more effectively.

Local government is a fundamental part of Government and undeniable part of development in all spheres of a country. While most of the constructions in the worlds pronounce various provisions of having local government, it’s got more significance in recent time. Moreover, without overall participation of the population of a country, development of all sectors can’t be achieved. Participation of grassroots people are encouraged and ensured by local institutions. It also provides the opportunities to the population oriented of making policies and implementing decision better for them which is ultimately a step forwarding sustainable development. Since the time of independence from Pakistan in 1971, Bangladesh has local government system in the constitution of the country. Various amendments regarding local government have been brought basically when regimes changed. Thus, till to date, the constitutional provisions have been far dream from the reality. In the very root level the local government established maintaining the constitutional provisions can extend the practice of democracy. Thus, following constitutional scheme and to enhance good governance at all levels of the society, it’s ripe time for the concerned authority to be more conscious to establish local government.

Development and acquisition of science process skills (SPS) is necessary for understanding of science and offering of solutions to scientific problems. Assessing SPS acquired by students is key to monitor its development and acquisition. The study used descriptive survey to find out the nature of SPS developed and acquired by final year senior high school chemistry students. The study used parametric achievement test instrument called Students’ development of science process skills index Test. The test was conducted for 904 students drawn from 20 out of 36 Senior High Schools in the central region of Ghana, that offer elective science courses. The schools and students were sampled from 17 out of 20 districts in the central region of Ghana via multi-stage sampling technique taking into cognizance the school grades categories in Ghana comprising Grades A, B and C. The analysis of the result shows that students acquired mainly basic SPS like Observing, Communicating, and integrated SPS like Interpreting. However, SPS like Classifying, Hypothesising, Controlling Variables and Experimenting were hardly developed/acquired. The acquisition of SPS was also found to depend significantly on the type of school attended and gender. It is recommended that more opportunity be given to practice and access SPS, particularly, the integrated SPS.

This paper addresses grassroots indifference to party funding in Nigeria. It argues that all existing explanations on political apathy do not address the escalating tendency of the ordinary but educated and politically aware Nigerians to be averse to party funding. Drawing on political culture theory, the paper attributes the current trajectory of the phenomenon to a form of "inverse participant" culture by the grassroots, consequent upon their alienation that is driven by a convergence of three key variables: the cartel nature of party formation which is responsible for the disconnect in state-society relations, the appropriation and weaponisation of parties through funding, and decades of unfulfilled campaign promises. It further contends that grassroots indifference creates a funding vacuum which gives room for the monopoly of the party by the wealthy few and the moneybags. The paper concludes that, to arrest grassroots disinterest in party funding, it will require a reform of the Nigerian state to wean it of predatory and exclusionary character and arrest the prevailing cartelization of party formation and appropriation of political parties. It is also important to evolve a political culture that will create positive civic consciousness so as to shape voter-party-candidates relations in order to arrest the current negative voter attitudes that expect and demand for money from party candidates. This paper adopted the qualitative method of research , making use of extant literature on the subject matter and in addition used the interview method in seeking the opinions of a few individuals, some of them party card carrying members.

This study determined the investment pattern, preferences, and practices of Wesleyan University-Philippines employees with the used of descriptive correlational methods of research, and the data were collected using a researcher-made survey questionnaire. Respondents of the study were the 305 employees chosen purposively. The result shows that most of the respondents belonged within the age range of 19 – 28 years old, married, a college graduate with 1 – 6 years in service, permanent, had a monthly income of 10000-21000 and had other sources of income from their husband/wife income. Likewise, most of the respondents had a saving for an emergency and unforeseen circumstances, had an investment and invested 1 – 5 percent of their income. Most of them had a saving account, intended to invest the money to more than five years in which the principal amount is secured, invested in the private sector, and expected to grow steadily. Similarly, this study found out that the respondents sometimes practice the five indicators of financial management practices used in the study. Moreover, profile variables were significantly correlated with financial management practices. Age, number of years in service, employment status, monthly income, and other sources of income were significantly associated with money management practices. Similarly, a number of years in service were correlated considerably with savings management practices. Finally, age, employment status, and other sources of income were significantly associated with investment management practices. Further, there is a significant difference in the respondents' assessment in all indicator of financial management practices.

Hookah smoking is widely spreading among Lebanese adolescence. The aim of this study was to investigate the perspectives of prospective student teachers pertaining to hookah smoking to determine their readiness to educate their future students in what relates to the dangers of smoking. The sample consisted of education sophomore student teachers (N=53), at the Education Faculty of one university in Lebanon. Participants constituted of the students enrolled in two educational psychology classes taught by the researcher. The topic was not part of what is being taught to students at the university. The e-survey obtained information on participants’ demographics, hookah smoking awareness, and their educative perspectives on hookah smoking. The study used mixed methods employing an 18-item survey on hookah smoking, alongside a semi structured heterogeneous focus group interview with six student teachers; two who were identified respectively as: hookah smokers, non-smokers, semi-smokers, and all were selected randomly from the pool of participants. Findings suggest that education student teachers have dispersed and unbalanced educative perceptions on hookah smoking. The study recommends that an efficient Lebanese anti-smoking awareness program should highly emphasize targeting the college student teachers, who are at the future front line with the youthful upcoming generation, and thus can highly affect their awareness pertaining to smoking in general, and hookah smoking in specific.

Background: According to the WHO, mental health is “a state of well-being in which the individual realizes his or her own abilities, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively and fruitfully, and is able to make a contribution to his or her community”. Healthcare providers especially in primary health care play a major role in the management of individuals who are mentally challenged. This study describes the knowledge and mental health care delivery patterns in the Buea Health District.Methods: We conducted a hospital- based cross-sectional study in 15 randomly selected health care facilities in the Buea Health district. Structured questionnaires were administered to healthcare providers (doctors, nurses and counselors/psychologists) in the selected health facilities to assess their level of knowledge and type of mental health care rendered to clients in Buea community of the south west region of Cameroon.Results: Out of a total of 300 questionnaires distributed, 292 were returned giving a response rate of 99.3%. Of the 292 participants, 117 (40.1%) health care providers had low knowledge levels of mental health disorders. Similarly, 114 (39.0%) of HCP (Health Care Providers) did not practice mental health care delivery in conformity to acceptable standards. HCP who had attained the Masters level of education and who had 7-10 years of work experience were more likely to have good knowledge on mental health disorders (OR = 1.33, CI = 0.10-6.56, P-value = 0.030 and OR = 0.51, CI = 0.19-0.59, P-value = 0.001 respectively), compared to less trained professionals. Regarding practice, being a female was a most likely factor for good practice of mental health care (OR = 0.82, CI = 0.49 – 0.38, P-value = 0.024) compared to being a male.Conclusion: Knowledge levels among practitioners of mental disorders and practiced care in the Buea Health District is below acceptable standards. There is an urgent need to train HCPs in mental health and ideal practice situations for the improvement of mental health care delivery in the district and the region.

Hand in hand with Timor (De mãos dadas com Timor) is a project that explores cultural competencies, social interaction through the Arts and Communication which has promoted cognitive development and a systematic contact between participants from very diverse cultural contexts (Portuguese students in two classes of the 1st year Basic Education Teacher Training BA Degree at the Higher School of Education of Viana do Castelo Polytechnic [ESEVC-IPVC], attending the subject entitled Theories and Practices of Visual and Performing Arts, and Timor children, teachers and educators working in the Pre-School level of Education at the Portuguese School of Dili - CELP - Ruy Cinatti, Timor). This international exchange arose from contacts made between the teacher of Visual Arts at ESEVC-IPVC and Flor Gomes, former student of ESEVC-IPVC, with a BA degree in Visual and Technological Education and a Master in Art Education at ESEVC-IPVC, teacher in statutory mobility, currently working in Timor between 2020 and 2022. This article, written by two researchers from the Art Education area, addresses a Portuguese project which emphasised an action-research underpinned in an interdisciplinary approach, using comics as teaching strategy in developing cultural competencies of eighty Portuguese students (nº=80) of a Basic Education Course. The findings of such collaboration using video as the communication support for this international exchange, show the positive effects of such Project that promoted the overall cultural and artistic competencies of students involved, either in Portugal or in Timor. It is concluded that such curricular experiment had on students, on their motivation and awareness of how illustration and video can work together with popular literature, staging and illustrating it. It also highlights how imagination, creativity, dialogue and cultural competencies of children can promote a deeply collaborative work at local, regional, national and international levels, despite the fact that we are living in a period of pandemic and confinement.

Анотація:
This paper critically reflects on the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goal on education (SDG4) in the Global South amid apparent donor fatigue. It also highlights international observers’ concerns about a huge funding gap in the implementation of SDG4 in the Global South. With the COVID-19 pandemic currently ravaging the world, this funding gap will only widen. In the face of these challenges, low-income countries with a high dependency on aid remain at risk of defaulting on most SDG4 targets. While reflecting on what the decline in education aid might mean for low-income countries, the paper argues that a truly transformative approach can help these countries achieve SDG4 and its sustainability agenda despite funding challenges.

The master thesis examines the description and analysis of factors that ensure adequate reproduction of website content with a projection on the functional approach to translation. In the master thesis translation transformations that are considered on specific examples contribute to the direct pragmatic adaptation of the original message.

Магістерська дисертація складається зі вступу, трьох розділів, висновків до кожного з них, загальних висновків та списку використаної літератури, який налічує 63джерела. Загальний обсяг роботи становить 107 сторінок. Предметом вивчення багатьох напрямків лінгвістики сьогодні виступає текст як структурно-смислове ціле. Він є основним засобом комунікації. Вивчення текстової зв'язності набуло актуальності у лінгвістиці тексту наприкінці 60-х років XXст. Зв'язність тексту здійснюється за допомогою низки структурних та лексико-семантичних засобів, які є у кожному тексті у найрізноманітніших комбінаціях, серед яких головним є повтор. Актуальність теми роботи зумовлена тим, що за останні десятиліття у науці накопичено досить ємний матеріал у галузі дослідження повтору, який потребує осмислення та певного узагальнення. Необхідно зазначити, що наразі недостатньо уваги приділено дослідженню особливостей функціонування лексичних повторів у художньому дискурсі. Незважаючи на те, що було написано велику кількість праць стосовно лексичних повторів, слід відзначити, що недостатньо проаналізовано питання про функціональну специфіку та розуміння повтору як стилістичного прийому або як елементу стилю письменника в межах художньої прози. Об’єктом дослідження є лексичні повтори у сучасній німецькій мові, а предметом — структурно-семантичні особливості їх функціонування у сучасній німецькій мові на основі художнього дискурсу німецькомовних письменників. Мета роботи полягає у дослідженні структурно-семантичних особливостей дискурсивного функціонування лексичних повторів у сучасній німецькій мові. Досягнення поставленої мети передбачає вирішення таких завдань: 1) вивчити поняття „повтор“; 2) розглянути типологічні різновиди повтору в сучасній німецькій мові; 3) описати лексичний повтор та його особливості; 4) схарактеризувати художній дискурс; 5) дослідити функціонування лексичних повторів у романі Даніеля Кельманна „Die Vermessung der Welt“; 6) визначити лексичні повтори у романі Даніеля Ґлаттауера „Gutgegen Nordwind“; 7) проаналізувати структурні особливості лексичних повторів у романі Акіфа Пірінчі „Der eine ist stumm, der andere ein Blinder“; 8) вивчити семантичні особливості лексичних повторів у романі Даніеля Кельманна; 9) розглянути лексичні повтори у романі Даніеля Ґлаттауера „Gutgegen Nordwind“; 10) здійснити дослідження семантики лексичних повторів у романі Акіфа Пірінчі „Der eine ist stumm, der andere ein Blinder“. Наукова новизна даної роботи полягає в тому, що вперше було проаналізовано особливості функціонування лексичного повтору на основі порівняння романів трьох авторів, романів двох німецьких письменників Даніеля Кельманна „Die Vermessung der Welt“ та Акіфа Пірінчі „Der eine ist stumm, der andere ein Blinder“, а також роману австрійського письменника Даніеля Ґлаттауера „Gutgegen Nordwind“. Практичне значення дослідження полягає у можливості використання матеріалів дослідження студентами вищих навчальних закладів, лінгвістичних відділень під час підготовки до семінарів, конференцій. Аналіз структурно-семантичних особливостей функціонування лексичних повторів у художньому дискурсі (на матеріалі романів сучасних німецькомовних авторів) може стати корисним при подальшому дослідженні лексичних повторів у прозових текстах та інших дискурсах. Матеріалом дослідження є 156 уривків текстів, у яких показано використання лексичних повторів, остаточна кількість яких сягає 200 одиниць, дібраних шляхом суцільної вибірки з 3 романів німецькомовних авторів, зокрема Даніеля Кельманна „Die Vermessung der Welt“, Даніеля Ґлаттауера „Gutgegen Nordwind“ та Акіфа Пірінчі „Der eine ist stumm, der andere ein Blinder“. Методи дослідження. Методика дослідження зумовлена метою та завданнями праці і ґрунтується на засадах комплексного застосування загальнонаукових методів: аналізу та синтезу – для відбору релевантного теоретичного матеріалу; індуктивно-дедуктивного методу – для спостереження, опису та класифікації лексичних повторів, кількісний метод – з метою встановлення співвідношень; методу класифікації та систематикації, методу зіставного аналізу і методу узагальнення науково-літературних джерел. Апробація результатів дослідження і публікації. Результати роботи висвітлено у статті «Функції лексичних повторів у текстах сучасної німецькомовної прози», опублікованій у науковому віснику Міжнародного гуманітарного університету серії «Філологія» (Вип. 39/2019, том 2) [29], який включено до Переліку фахових видань України та до міжнародної наукометричної бази Index Copernicus International (Республіка Польща).
The master's dissertation consists of an introduction, three chapters, conclusions to each chapter, general conclusions, and a list of references, that includes 63 points. The paper amounts to 107 pages. The subject of study of many areas of linguistics today is the text as a structural and semantic whole. It is the primary means of communication. The study of text coherence became relevant in text linguistics in the late 1960s. The cohesiveness of the text is achieved through a number of structural and lexical-semantic means, which are in each text in a variety of combinations, among which the main is repetition. The topicality is due to the fact that in recent decades in the science has accumulated enough capacious material in the field of repetition research, which needs reflection and some generalization. It should be noted, however, that insufficient attention has been paid to the study of the peculiarities of the functioning of lexical repetitions in artistic discourse. Although a great deal of work has been written on lexical repetitions, it is worth noting that the question of functional specificity and understanding of repetition as a stylistic reception or as an element of a writer's style within fiction is insufficiently analyzed. The object of the study is lexical repetition in modern German. The subject is the features of the functioning of lexical repetitions in modern German based on the artistic discourse of German-speaking writers. The aim of the research is to study the structural and semantic features of the discursive functioning of lexical repetitions in modern German. Achieving this goal involves the solution of the following tasks: 1) become familiar with the concept of "repetition"; 2) to consider typological varieties of repetition in modern German; 3) describe the lexical repetition and its features; 4) characterize artistic discourse; 5) to investigate the functioning of lexical repetitions in Daniel Kellmann's novel “Die Vermessung der Welt”; 6) identify lexical repetitions in Daniel Guttauer's novel “Gut gegen Nordwind”; 7) analyze the structural features of lexical repetitions in Akif Pirinchi's novel “Der eine ist stumm, der andere ein Blinder”; 8) to work out the semantic features of lexical repetition in Daniel Kelmann's novel; 9) consider lexical repetitions in Daniel Guttauer's novel “Gut gegen Nordwind”; 10) to carry out research on the semantic aspect of the study of lexical repetitions in Akef Pirinchi's novel “Der eineist stumm, der andere ein Blinder”. The originality of the research is that it was first analyzed the features of the functioning of lexical repetition on the basis of a comparison of novels of three authors, novels by two German writers Daniel Kellmann "Die Vermessung der Welt" and Akif Pirinchi "Der eine ist stumm, der andere ein Blinder" as well as the novel by Austrian writer Daniel Guttauer “Gut gegen Nordwind”.The practical valueof the research lies in the possibility of using research materials by students of higher education institutions, linguistic departments in preparation for seminars, conferences, and the analysis of the structural-semantic features of the functioning of lexical repetitions in the artistic discourse of German-speaking authors may be a useful example in the subsequent study of lexical studies in lexical studies. and other discourses. The research material amounts to 156 passages that show the use of lexical repetitions, the final number of which reaches 200 units selected by continuous sampling from 3 German-language novels, including Daniel Kellmann's “Die Vermessung der Welt”, Daniel Guttauer's “Gut gegen Nordwind” and Aqifa Pirinchi's “Der eine ist stumm, der andere ein Blinder“.Research methods. The research methodology is predetermined by the purpose and tasks of the work and is based on the principles of complex application of common scientific methods: analysis and synthesis - for the selection of relevant theoretical material; inductive-deductive method - for observing, describing and classifying lexical repetitions, quantitative method - for establishing repetitiveness, correlation; methods of classification and systematization, method of comparative analysis and method of generalization of scientific and literary sources. Testing the results of the research and publications. The results of the dissertation research are presented in the article "Functions of lexical repetition in modern German prose" in the scientific journal of the International Humanities University (Issue 39/2019, vol. 2) [29], which is notated in such international scientific metric database as Index Copernicus International (Poland).
Объектом исследования являются лексические повторы в современном немецком языке, а предметом – структурно-семантические особенности их функционирования в современном немецком языке на основе художественного дискурса немецкоязычных писателей. Цель работы заключается в исследовании структурно-семантических особенностей дискурсивного функционирования лексических повторов в современном немецком языке. Достижение поставленной цели предполагает решение следующих задач: изучить понятие "повтор"; рассмотреть типологические разновидности повтора в современном немецком языке; описать лексический повтор и его особенности; охарактеризовать художественный дискурс; исследовать функционирование лексических повторов в романе Даниэля Кельманна "Die Vermessung der Welt"; определить лексические повторы в романе Даниэля Ґлаттауэра "Gut gegen Nordwind"; проанализировать структурные особенности лексических повторов в романе Акифа Пиринчи "Der eine ist stumm, der andere ein Blinder"; изучить семантические особенности лексических повторов в романе Даниэля Кельманна; рассмотреть лексические повторы в романе Даниэля Ґлаттауэра "Gut gegen Nordwind"; провести исследование семантики лексических повторов в романе Акифа Пиринчи "Der eine ist stumm, der andere ein Blinder".

Este trabalho pretende espelhar algum do trabalho desenvolvido ao longo do estágio realizado no ano letivo 2012/2013, no âmbito da língua alemã, mas também algum do trabalho desenvolvido ao longo da carreira enquanto docente de língua estrangeira no ensino básico e secundário, passando pela referência ao que é a profissão docente, e aborda igualmente a história e evolução do ensino e aprendizagem das línguas estrangeiras ao longo dos tempos.
The aim of this report is to show some of the work that has been developed along the semester as a German teacher trainee in the school year 2012/2013 and also some of the work that has been developed over the time as a teacher of foreign language in basic and secondary school. It also refers to what being a teacher is, and approaches the history and evolution of language teaching and learning.
