UDK 631.4:632.954; 633.1:632.954(497.6) The aim of the study is to present the elements which must be considered while determining the risk of the mobility of the herbicides. Herbicides used for maize production have the special eco toxical significance and special risk because some are potentially mobile, they are used on the large surfaces during the rainy period and near rivers. Behaviour of the herbicides in the environment, particularly in the soil is very complex. It does not depend only on the characteristics of the herbicide, but on the many factors of the environment which are very variable. Regardless of this fact, there are experimentally determined physical-chemical indicators for each herbicide that show the possible behaviour of herbicides in the environment. Studied physical-chemical indicators of herbicide behavior are: Distribution Coefficient (Kd); Organic Carbon Partitioning Coefficient (Koc); Time of the Semi-Decomposition (DT50); Water Solubility (S); Groundwater Ubiquity Score (GUS); Henry's Law Constant (Kh), Vapor Pressure (PV) and the Dissociation Constant (pKa). Namely, herbicides, in larger or smaller measure, have “leaching potential“, which is ability to reach the underground water. One of the basic criteria for evaluating the herbicide ability to reach the underground water is related to indicators of mobility and persistency (DT50) herbicides, but neglecting some other criteria in that evaluation such as the amount of applying, characteristics of the soil and the aim of the crop growth. According to the EPA criteria, for the herbicides used in maize production in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), the “trigger“ value will indirectly indicate if the herbicides have large leaching potential.

AbstractBackgroundGraded exercises tests are performed in adult populations; nonetheless, the use of this type of assessment is greatly understudied in overweight and obese adolescents.ObjectiveTo investigate heart rate autonomic responses to submaximal aerobic exercise in obese and overweight adolescents.MethodsWe recruited 40 adolescents divided into two groups: (1) overweight group comprising 10 boys and 10 girls between Z-score +1 and +2 and (2) obese group comprising 10 boys and 10 girls above Z-score >+2. Heart rate variability was analysed before (T1) and after exercise (T2–T4) on treadmill at a slope of 0%, with 70% of the maximal estimated heart rate (220 – age) for 20 minutes.ResultsHeart rate in the overweight group was: 93.2±10.52 bpm versus 120.8±13.49 bpm versus 94.6±11.65 bpm versus 93.0±9.23 bpm, and in the obese group was: 92.0±15.41 bpm versus 117.6±16.31 bpm versus 92.1±12.9 bpm versus 91.8±14.33 bpm. High frequency in the overweight group was: 640±633.1 ms2 versus 84±174.66 ms2 versus 603.5±655.31 ms2 versus 762.6±807.21 ms2, and in the obese group was: 628.4±779.81 ms2 versus 65.4±119.34 ms2 versus 506.2±482.70 ms2 versus 677.9±939.05 ms2; and root mean square of successive differences in the overweight group was: 37.9±18.81 ms versus 10.9±8.41 ms versus 32.8±24.07 ms versus 36.7±21.86 ms, and in the obese group was: 38.7±23.17 ms versus 11.5±8.62 ms versus 32.3±16.74 ms versus 37.3±24.21 ms. These values significantly changed during exercise compared with resting values in overweight and obese groups. Moreover, we also reported no significant difference of resting parasympathetic control of heart rate between obese and overweight adolescents.ConclusionThere was no significant difference of autonomic responses elicited by submaximal aerobic exercise between overweight and obese adolescents.

Background: Inappropriate antimicrobial use continues to threaten modern medicine. The ongoing pandemic likely exacerbated this problem because COVID-19 presents similarly to bacterial pneumonia, confusion exists regarding treatment guidelines, and testing turnaround times (TATs) are slow. Our primary object was to quantify antimicrobial use changes during the pandemic to rates before the crisis. A subanalysis within the COVID-19 cohort was completed based on SARS-CoV-2 status. Methods: The pre–COVID-19 period was January–May 2019 and the COVID-19 period was January–May 2020. Subanalyses were used to explore differences in antibiotics use between persons not under investigation (non-PUIs), SARS-CoV-2–negative PUIs, and SARS-CoV-2–positive PUIs. Non-PUI patients were those without respiratory symptoms and/or fever. The χ2 and Wilcoxon signed rank-sum tests were used for analysis. Results: During the 2019 and 2020 study periods, 7,909 and 7,283 patients received >1 antimicrobial, respectively (Figure 1). Overall, antibiotic therapy per 1,000 patient days increased from 633.1 before COVID-19 to 678.5 during COVID-19, a 7.2% increase (Table 1). Notably, broad-spectrum respiratory antibiotics demonstrated a significant increase between pre–COVID-19 and COVID-19 cohorts (p < 0.001). Of the 7,283 patients within the COVID-19 cohort, 34.7% (n = 2,532) were PUI and 13.8% (n = 1,002) of these patients tested SARS-CoV-2 positive. Again, broad-spectrum respiratory antibiotics use was significantly increased for COVID-19 patients (p < 0.001). Of note, the proportion of patients receiving respiratory antibiotics steadily decreased over time (R2 = 0.99). Conclusions: There was a significant increase in antibiotic use during the COVID-19 pandemic. Encouragingly, antimicrobial use decreased over time, likely due to (1) faster TATs, (2) real-time education to clinicians and subsequent de-escalation of unnecessary antimicrobials, and (3) development of treatment guidelines as new research emerged.Funding: NoDisclosures: None

Context. The general theory of relativity predicts the redshift of spectral lines in the solar photosphere as a consequence of the gravitational potential of the Sun. This effect can be measured from a solar disk-integrated flux spectrum of the Sun’s reflected light on Solar System bodies. Aims. The laser frequency comb (LFC) calibration system attached to the HARPS spectrograph offers the possibility of performing an accurate measurement of the solar gravitational redshift (GRS) by observing the Moon or other Solar System bodies. Here, we analyse the line shift observed in Fe absorption lines from five high-quality HARPS-LFC spectra of the Moon. Methods. We selected an initial sample of 326 photospheric Fe lines in the spectral range between 476–585 nm and measured their line positions and equivalent widths (EWs). Accurate line shifts were derived from the wavelength position of the core of the lines compared with the laboratory wavelengths of Fe lines. We also used a CO5BOLD 3D hydrodynamical model atmosphere of the Sun to compute 3D synthetic line profiles of a subsample of about 200 spectral Fe lines centred at their laboratory wavelengths. We fit the observed relatively weak spectral Fe lines (with EW< 180 mÅ) with the 3D synthetic profiles. Results. Convective motions in the solar photosphere do not affect the line cores of Fe lines stronger than about ∼150 mÅ. In our sample, only 15 Fe I lines have EWs in the range 150< EW(mÅ) < 550, providing a measurement of the solar GRS at 639 ± 14 m s−1, which is consistent with the expected theoretical value on Earth of ∼633.1 m s−1. A final sample of about 97 weak Fe lines with EW < 180 mÅ allows us to derive a mean global line shift of 638 ± 6 m s−1, which is in agreement with the theoretical solar GRS. Conclusions. These are the most accurate measurements of the solar GRS obtained thus far. Ultrastable spectrographs calibrated with the LFC over a larger spectral range, such as HARPS or ESPRESSO, together with a further improvement on the laboratory wavelengths, could provide a more robust measurement of the solar GRS and further testing of 3D hydrodynamical models.

The title compounds were prepared by melting and annealing of stoichiometric mixtures of the elemental components in a high-frequency furnace. They are isotypic with Yb2Ru3Ga10 (P4/mbm, Z = 2). Their lattice constants were determined from X-ray powder data, and their crystal structures were refined from single-crystal X-ray data. Er2Os3Ga10: a = 883.4(1), c = 636.7(1) pm, R = 0.025 for 506 Fo values, and Tm2Os3Ga10: a = 883.2(1), c = 633.6(1) pm, R = 0.023 for 568 Fo values and 25 variable parameters each. The crystal structures of these intermetallic compounds are briefly discussed.

A field study were conducted to evaluate the efficacy of the entomopathogenic fungi Beauveria bassiana as abiocontrol agent for the cotton leaf worm Spodoptera littoralis infesting potato plants. Results indicated that soil treatment of the entomopathogenic fungi significantly reduced the percentage of plant infestation to 64.3, 60.7 % after 14, 21 days. Results of the infection intensity also significantly reduced in treatment of entomopathogenic fungi in soil to 18.7, 9.9 pore/leaf after 14, 21 days of treatment.The results revealed the higher efficiency of entomopathogenic fungi on plant yield, it become 633.3 gm in entomopathogenic fungi in soil treatment.

UDK 631.41:633.15; 633.15:546.48 (497.6) Cadmium content in soil is an important factor which determines the content of this heavy metal in plants. However, many other factors including soil pH, content of organic matter, other trace minerals in soil which could reduce or enhance cadmium uptake by roots of plants as well as anthropogenic routes of cadmium contamination (mining, superphosphates and industry) can have an influence on the cadmium concentrations in plant tissue. A three years study was conducted to evaluate cadmium content in green mass of silage maize in certain areas of Central Bosnia region. A multiple linear regression (MLR) model was developed to predict maize tissues cadmium concentration as function of different factors such as soil cadmium content, pH of soil, organic matter in soil as well as phosphorus, potassium, zinc and iron content in soil. The results indicate huge variability of cadmium content in soil (maximum value was more than 3fold greater than the minimum value) and green mass of maize (maximum to minimum ratio greater than 100). Cadmium concentration in all investigated samples of maize was below maximum tolerable levels in ruminant nutrition. Using a stepwise multiple linear regression method, a significant model emerged (F2.14 = 55.193, p<0.001; R2 = 0.887). Significant variables were phosphorus (Beta = 0.813, p<0.001) and potassium (Beta = -0.401, p<0.005) content in soil. Soil pH, organic matter, cadmium, zinc and iron were not significant in this model. Insignificant correlation between soil and plant cadmium content (r=0.374, p=0.07) indicates that the presence of cadmium in the soil may not be the main determinant of its content in plants.

A simulation of the cooling of electronic devices was carried out by means of microchannels, using water as a coolant to dissipate the heat generated from a computer processor, and thus stabilize its optimum operating temperature. For the development of this study, computational fluid mechanics modeling was established in order to determine the temperature profiles, pressure profiles, and velocity behavior of the working fluid in the microchannel. In the results of the study, the operating temperatures of the computer processor were obtained, in the ranges of 303 K to 307 K, with fluid velocities in the microchannels of 5 m/s, a pressure drop of 633.7 kPa, and a factor of safety of the design of the microchannel of 15. From the results, the improvement of the heat transfer in a cooling system of electronic devices was evidenced when using a coolant as a working fluid compared to the cooling by forced air flow traditional. ABSTRAK: Simulasi penyejukan alatan elektronik telah dibina menggunakan saluran mikro, di samping air sebagai agen penyejuk bagi menghilangkan haba yang terhasil dari pemproses komputer, dan penstabil pada suhu operasi optimum. Kajian ini mengenai model komputasi mekanik bendalir bagi menentukan profil suhu, profil tekanan, dan halaju perubahan bendalir dalam saluran mikro. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan suhu operasi pemproses komputer adalah pada julat suhu 303 K sehingga 307 K, dengan halaju bendalir dalam saluran mikro adalah pada kelajuan 5 m/s, penurunan tekanan sebanyak 633.7 kPa, dan faktor keselamatan 15 bagi reka bentuk saluran mikro. Ini menunjukkan terdapat kenaikan pemindahan haba bagi sistem penyejukan alatan elektronik ini, terutama apabila cecair digunakan sebagai penyejuk haba berbanding kaedah tradisi iaitu dengan mengguna pakai aliran udara sebagai agen penyejuk.

The nanostructured tin monosulfide/carbon composites were synthesized by a simple wet chemical synthesis approach. It was revealed that the 3D flower-like tin monosulfide nanoparticles are usable as an active anode material for sodium-ion batteries, exhibiting a specific capacity of 480.4 mAh/g. The 3D flower-like tin monosulfide nanoparticles were wrapped with reduced graphene oxide sheets by a solvothermal heterogeneous synthetic method. By incorporating the reduced graphene oxide sheets as a mechanically flexible and electrically conductive additive, a specific capacity of 633.2 mAh/g was obtained from tin monosulfide/carbon nanocomposite anodes, providing an excellent rate capability even at a high current density condition of 5000 mA/g.

A mixture of C60D36 with 24.5 \pm 4.5% C60 by weight has been analysed by neutron diffraction techniques. The diffraction data was converted to a reduced density function G(r) by Fourier transformation. The C60 component of the G(r) was subtracted out. This enabled a comparison for five molecular models of C60D36, with symmetries T, Th , S 6 and two D 3 d isomers, with the experimental G(r). This specimen of C60D36 was found to be best described by a T symmetry isomer, in agreement with 13C NMR and IR data for C60H36 [Attalla et al. (1993). J. Phys. Chem. pp. 6329–6331].

Uno de los objetivos señalados por la UNESCO (2015), en la promulgación de la Agenda 2030 para el Desarrollo Sostenible, reside en promover una educación inclusiva, equitativa y de calidad para todos. Para promover este tipo de educación es preciso conocer las barreras al aprendizaje y la participación presentes en los centros educativos, con la finalidad de eliminar las mismas y, establecer procesos de cambio y mejora dirigidos a alcanzar dichos ideales. Este trabajo muestra los resultados obtenidos en un estudio dirigido a conocer las barreras hacia la inclusión presentes en los centros educativos, de un municipio de la Región de Murcia (España). El diseño de investigación adoptado es cuantitativo, no experimental y de corte descriptivo. La muestra está formada por los cinco centros de enseñanza obligatoria existentes en el municipio de Torre Pacheco, concretamente han participado 122 docentes. El instrumento de recogida de información ha sido un cuestionario ad hoc, compuesto por tres dimensiones (contexto educativo, recursos educativos y proceso educativo). Los resultados de este trabajo muestran la existencia de barreras que, limitan el acceso y las oportunidades de aprendizaje del alumnado en los contextos, los recursos y los procesos educativos de los centros estudiados, así como la presencia de diferencias significativas en la identificación de dichas barreras en función de la etapa educativa donde el profesorado ejerce su labor así como, de la titularidad del centro. Como conclusión cabe destacar la importancia de identificar dichas barreras para iniciar procesos de cambio y mejora de la realidad educativa que permitan alcanzar una educación mejor para todos, más equitativa y por ende, inclusiva.

En este trabajo se estudia la concepción escotista del universal entendido como universallógico y accidente intencional, cuya función cognitiva se entiende como modo de aprehensión oconcepción de la esencia o naturaleza. El artículo se concentra en analizar las cuestiones 4 y 5 del comentario de Duns Escoto a la Isagoge. Se subraya la relación de los análisis escotistas con lateoría aviceniana del triple estatuto de la esencia sobre el telón de fondo de la teoría boeciana de los universales. Al final del artículo se presenta brevemente el momento ontológico del universal tal comose puede ver en la teoría de la naturaleza común.
