9075 Background: IL-2 is a T-cell growth factor tested in a variety of regimens for advanced melanoma (MEL) and renal cell carcinoma (RCC). High-dose IL-2 (600,000-720,000 IU/kg administered intravenously every 8 hours for up to 14 consecutive doses) was approved by FDA for advanced MEL and RCC in 1998 based upon the durability of responses observed. Early studies of HD IL-2 reported overall (OR) and complete response (CR) rates of 16% and 8% respectively. Severe toxicity limited use to specialized centers with standardized protocols, either intensive care (ICU) or oncology specialty settings. The U Pittsburgh has treated 1022 patients with IL-2 at any dosage and we here present outcomes of 550 MEL pts treated with HD IL-2 in an oncology specialty non-ICU setting. Methods: Clinical and radiological data were collected on all pts treated with IL-2 using the UPCI Cancer Registry and Medical Archival System (MARS). Pharmacy records were reviewed for dosing details. The influence of baseline characteristics on treatment outcomes was assessed using Cox proportional hazards analysis. Results: A total of 848 pts received HD IL-2, of which 298 pts had RCC while 550 had MEL. Detailed pharmacy dosing records were reviewed from 176 pts treated over the past 12 years (2000-2012) who received a total of 3738 cycles. Of 165 pts evaluable for response, OR was documented in 24 pts (14.8%) and CR in 5 pts (3.0%). Median overall survival (OS) was 10.0 mos for all patients and 21.5 mos for responders (CR+PR). Median number of doses per cycle was 7. Toxicity was consistent with prior reports. HD IL-2 required ICU transfers in 5% and 1 death was attributed to HD IL-2. Pts with higher baseline lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) had poorer OS (p < 0.05). Conclusions: In this large and uniformly treated series of recent patients treated with IL-2 OR/CR rates with HD IL-2 are 14.8% and 3.0% respectively. Higher LDH is associated with poorer outcome. Biomarkers of response are currently being evaluated in banked clinical specimens collected from patients under the SPORE in Skin Cancer (P50 CA121973).

Al2O3 grown by Atomic Layer Chemical Vapour Deposition (ALCVD) on n-type 4H-SiC with a nominal thickness of 100nm has been characterized by Grazing Incidence X-Ray Diffraction (GIXD) and Specular X-Ray Reflectivity (SXR) measurements. After post-deposition, the samples were annealed at different temperatures and durations in argon atmosphere. The GIXD results reveal crystallization at temperatures above 900°C, most likely in the form of θ-Al2O3 or γ-Al2O3. However, the formation of a new, non-stoichiometric Al2O3 phase cannot be excluded. The crystalline domain size, evaluated from the peak FWHMs after subtraction of the instrumental broadening, is found to be almost equal (18±1nm), independent of T in the range 900°C≤T≤1100°C and time in the range 1h≤t≤3h. From SXR, mass density profiles are derived. Whereas the as grown film exhibits the lowest mass density, at 800°C a low-density interface layer forms. At the same time, it appears that the initial crystallization starts at the surface. At 900°C, the density increases sharply (this process involves film crystallization) and the film thickness correspondingly reduces. Whereas the density increase and thickness reduction still continue for T>900°C (tendency to the density α-Al2O3), the density of the interfacial layer has a minimum at 900°C and gradually increases for higher temperatures. From Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) investigations it could be revealed that the starting of the crystallization at 900°C is accompanied with a substantial surface roughening. For annealing at higher temperatures, the surface roughness is in the range of the one of the as-grown sample (about 6Å).

A novel approach to fabrication of globularized fine-grained structure in γ+α2 titanium aluminide alloys has been proposed. The approach included the use of a specially designed alloy Ti-43Al-X(Nb,Mo,B) and heat treatment. It was found that the ingot structure of the alloy might be partially globularized on a scale of bulk material using only globularization anneal excluding any hot working procedure. The microstructure and tensile mechanical properties of the alloy in the cast + heat treated condition were investigated. The tensile mechanical tests were performed in air in the temperature range of T=900-1130°C at an initial strain rate of ε′=1.7×10-4 s-1. High elongation (δ=160-230%) and low flow stresses (σ=36-100 MPa) typical of superplastic behavior were measured at T=1050-1130°C. It was demonstrated that the sheet material produced by spark cutting of the cast + heat treated alloy might be successfully hot formed.

An experimental study aimed at the modeling of dolomite- and ankerite-involving decarbonation reactions, resulting in the CO2 fluid release and crystallization of Ca, Mg, Fe garnets, was carried out at a wide range of pressures and temperatures of the upper mantle. Experiments were performed using a multi-anvil high-pressure apparatus of a “split-sphere” type, in CaMg(CO3)2-Al2O3-SiO2 and Ca(Mg,Fe)(CO3)2-Al2O3-SiO2 systems (pressures of 3.0, 6.3 and 7.5 GPa, temperature range of 950–1550 °C, hematite buffered high-pressure cell). It was experimentally shown that decarbonation in the dolomite-bearing system occurred at 1100 ± 20 °C (3.0 GPa), 1320 ± 20 °C (6.3 GPa), and 1450 ± 20 °C (7.5 GPa). As demonstrated by mass spectrometry, the fluid composition was pure CO2. Composition of synthesized garnet was Prp83Grs17, with main Raman spectroscopic modes at 368–369, 559–562, and 912–920 cm−1. Decarbonation reactions in the ankerite-bearing system were realized at 1000 ± 20 °C (3.0 GPa), 1250 ± 20 °C (6.3 GPa), and 1400 ± 20 °C (7.5 GPa). As a result, the garnet of Grs25Alm40Prp35 composition with main Raman peaks at 349–350, 552, and 906–907 cm−1 was crystallized. It has been experimentally shown that, in the Earth’s mantle, dolomite and ankerite enter decarbonation reactions to form Ca, Mg, Fe garnet + CO2 assemblage at temperatures ~175–500 °C lower than CaCO3 does at constant pressures.

A collective treatment of the I=0 scalar mesons below 2 GeV [σ(550), f0(980), f0(1370), f0(1500) and f0(1710)] in a nonlinear chiral Lagrangian framework that is constrained by the mass and the partial decay widths of the I=1/2,1 scalars [κ(900), [Formula: see text], a0(980) and a0(1450)] is presented. The sub-structure of these states in terms of two and four quark components, as well as a glueball component is explored, and its correlation with the mass of f0(1370) is studied. Consistency with the available experimental data suggests that the σ(550) is dominantly a nonstrange four-quark state, whereas the sub-structure of other I=0 states are sensitive to the input mass of f0(1370). This investigation estimates the scalar glueball mass in the range 1.47–1.64 GeV.

Abstract Objective: This study examined WMS-IV Visual Reproduction Recognition (VRRec) as an embedded PVT in clinical and forensic samples. Methods: VRRec was analyzed as a PVT in a forensic sample and in a hospital-based, outpatient clinical sample. Neither sample included any major neurocognitive disorders and well-established PVTs determined valid and invalid categories. T-tests (parametric and nonparametric) and ROCs were used to assess how accurately VRRec classified valid and invalid group-membership. Results: Forensic and clinical (n=265, 84) samples differed in context (incentivized, non-incentivized), age (m=49.1, 60.6), race (Caucasian=17%, 89%), and gender (males=100%, 29%), respectively. VRRec scores were significantly different between valid and invalid groups in both the forensic sample (U=2404.0, p<.0001, d=-1.26; n=196, 69; m=5.57, 3.33; sd=1.29, 1.91) and the clinical sample (t=-2.39, p=.019, d=-.93; n=76, 8; m=4.99, 3.50; sd=1.68, 1.51). A cutoff score of < 3 yielded the following: Forensic: AUC=.822, sensitivity=.551, specificity=.944, 95%CI=.76-.88, p<.0001; and Clinical: AUC=.752, sensitivity=.500, specificity=.816, 95%CI=.61-.89, p=.019. For the clinical sample, < 2 improved specificity (.908) but decreased sensitivity (.250). When using a 15% estimated invalidity base rate in the clinical sample for < 3 and < 2 cutoffs, positive predictive power equaled .324 and .324 and negative predictive power equaled .902 and .873, respectively. Conclusion: VRRec adequately differentiated validity groups in a forensic sample but was less valuable in a clinical sample. Its use as a PVT should only be considered within a larger group of multiple PVTs. Primary limitations included differences in demographics and specific criterion-PVTs used between samples. Future studies should assess VRRec as a PVT in similar populations.

Abstract Introduction: The introduction of novel therapies has revolutionized the treatment of multiple myeloma in the last 20 years. Outcomes vary significantly by age with younger patients experiencing longer survival than older patients. The majority of cancer patients in the United States receive treatment in community oncology practices, as opposed to university hospital settings. RainTree Analytics maintains a unique database of electronic medical record (EMR) data from RainTree Oncology member community oncology practices. We sought to understand the treatment patterns and patient demographics of multiple myeloma patients in community oncology practices. Methods: A search of the RainTree Analytics database was conducted for patients with an ICD-9 code of 203.0-203.02 (multiple myeloma). 2771 patients who received treatment for multiple myeloma between January 2, 2012 and July 9, 2014 were identified. Of these 2022 had received either bortezomib or lenalidomide, or both. We compared the characteristics of patients who had received prescriptions for bortezomib but not lenalidomide (N = 551) or lenalidomide but not bortezomib (N = 699), the two most frequently prescribed multiple myeloma therapies, excluding melphalan and dexamethasone. Results: Most patients who received either bortezomib or lenalidomide, but not both, were over 60. The age distribution of these two populations is provided in Table 1. Table 1. Age Distribution of Bortezomib and Lenalidomide Patients AGE Bortezomib Patient Count (%) Lenalidomide Patient Count (%) 21-30 1 (0.18) 1 (0.14) 31-40 4 (0.73) 2 (0.29) 41-50 17 (3.09) 38 (5.44) 51-60 65 (11.80) 107 (15.31) 61-70 147 (26.68) 220 (31.47) 70+ 317 (57.53) 331 (47.35) Total 551 699 Side effects and co-occurring diagnoses listed as ICD-9 codes in the EMR were analysed. The most frequently co-occurring diagnoses reported in the EMR in bortezomib and lenalidomide patients were anemias, nausea and vomiting, and diseases of white blood cells (Figure 1). Anemias were reported at approximately the same frequency in bortezomib and lenalidomide patients, 9.07% and 8.73%, respectively. Nausea and vomiting (ICD-9 codes 787.01-787.2) were reported more frequently in bortezomib patients than in lenalidomide patients, 9.26% and 3.29%, respectively, but diseases of white blood cells (1.63% (bortezomib) and 5.29% (lenalidomide)) and sepsis or complications due to vascular devices (0.54% (bortezomib) and 4.58% (lenalidomide)) were reported more frequently in lenalidomide patients. Figure 1. Side Effects and Co-occurring Diagnoses in Patients Taking Bortezomib and Lenalidomide Figure 1. Side Effects and Co-occurring Diagnoses in Patients Taking Bortezomib and Lenalidomide Bortezomib and lenalidomide duration of therapy were analysed for patients who had received at least one refill for the therapy. The mean duration of therapy for bortezomib and lenalidomide was 203 and 250 days, respectively (Table 2). The mean number of prescriptions written for bortezomib was greater than the mean number of prescriptions written for lenalidomide, as would be expected for the methods of delivery of the two therapies. Table 2. Duration of Bortezomib or Lenalidomide Therapy Bortezomib Lenalidomide Mean Number of Prescriptions Written 20 9 Duration of Therapy Mean 203 250 Median 142 163 Minimum 33 30 Maximum 903 908 Standard Deviation 178 224 Conclusions: The age distributions and duration of therapy for bortezomib and lenalidomide were similar for the two therapies, however, there were significant differences in co-occurring diagnoses reported by ICD-9 in the EMR. Further study is warranted to investigate which of these co-occurring diagnoses are associated with pre-existing patient characteristics and which may be the results of differences in therapies. The effects of hot band annealing temperature on the texture of the 1% and 2%Si nonoriented electrical steel were investigated. Slab was hot rolled and then hot band annealed in the temperature range of 900°C~1100°C. The magnetic flux density and the core loss were improved by the hot band annealing because of the texture improvement. As the hot band annealing temperature was increased, the magnetic properties were improved. The microstructure of the hot band was composed of a recrystallized structure at the surface and a deformed structure near the middle plane. These hot bands were completely recrystallized after annealing above 1000°C. The main texture of the hot band was rotated cube and gamma-fibre. After hot band annealing, rotated cube changed to cube texture and gamma-fibre intensity gradually decreased. In the case of specimen without hot band annealing, rotated cube in the middle plane was changed to near {111}<112>texture and Goss texture in the surface to gamma fibre after final annealing. In the case of the hot band annealed at 900°C, Goss texture and cube texture were developed. After final annealing, the {111} and {112} texture was dramatically decreased as the hot band annealing temperature was increased. Although the total {100} texture intensity was not changed, Cube texture, {100}<001>, was strengthened and rotated cube texture, {100}<011>, weakened for 2% Si steel. However, 1% Si steel was opposed to 2% Si steel. The {110} texture was strengthened irrespective of hot band annealing temperature. As the hot band annealing temperature was increased, the Goss texture was strengthened, and this makes the anisotropy of the magnetic flux density bigger.

Calcium yttrium silicoborate glasses doped with different Nd3+ ion concentrations have been prepared using the melt quenching technique at 1400 °C. Physical, optical and luminescence properties of glass samples were investigated. The density and molar volume measurements were carried out at room temperature. The results show that, the density and molar volume of glass samples not deepened on the concentration of Nd2O3. Absorption spectra were investigated in the UV–VIS–NIR region from 200 to 2500 nm. It was observed that the absorption bands have 8 peaks with corresponding to 467, 521, 584, 638, 682, 747, 805 and 877 nm. The luminescence properties were investigated in the NIR region. On excitation, with 584 and 805 nm, it is found that the emission peaks are located at 896 (904), 1060 and 1332 nm that correspond to the emission transitions from 4F3/2 to 4I9/2, 4I11/2 and 4I13/2, respectively. The NIR luminescence intensity obtained with 584 nm excitation was stronger than 805 nm.

Background:Patients with rheumatic diseases (RD) are at increased risk of infections, attributed to the underlying RD, comorbidities and immunosuppressive therapy, including glucocorticoids, disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs, etc. (1). While many infectious diseases can generally be prevented by vaccines, immunization rates in this specific patient population remain suboptimal (2). Despite being recognized as one of the most successful public health measures, vaccination is perceived as unsafe and unnecessary by a growing number of individuals. Lack of confidence in vaccines is now considered a threat to the success of vaccination programs (3).Objectives:To describe the main causes of non-vaccination in patients with RD.Methods:A self-questionnaire was applied to a sample of patients with RD in the rheumatology clinic of the university hospital “Dr. Jose Eleuterio Gonzalez” in Monterrey, Mexico between September and December 2019. The questionnaire evaluated demographic characteristics (age, gender, diagnosis) and the vaccination status for Influenza (last year), pneumococcal (last 5 years), Herpes zoster (ever), Human papillomavirus (any dose) and Hepatitis B (any dose). It also includes a question asking: If you didn’t receive any of the previous vaccines, what was the reason? (multiple-choice are shown in Table 2). Results are shown in frequencies and percentages.Table 2.Vaccination barriersN=82If you didn’t receive any of the previous vaccines, what was the reason? n (%)1)Did not was recommended22 (26.8)2) Lack of availability21 (25.6)3) Vaccines don’t work13 (15.8)4) Fear of adverse events8 (9.7)5) Previous adverse event3 (3.6)6) Other reason- Own decision8 (9.7)- Disinformation7 (8.5)Results:102 patients were evaluated: Mean age was 51.27 (SD 14.68) years; 84 (82.4%) were females; 71 (69.6%) had rheumatoid arthritis, 13 (12.7%) had systemic lupus erythematosus, 6 (5.8%) had other autoimmune diseases and 12 (11.8%) had osteoarthritis. The rate of vaccination for Influenza was 49 (48%), for pneumococcal 25 (24.5%), for Herpes zoster 5 (4.9%), for Human papillomavirus 9 (8.8%), for Hepatitis B 14 (13.7%) (Table 1). 82 (80.3%) patients reported some barriers in vaccination, from these: 22 (26.8%) did not get the recommendation from the rheumatologist, 21 (25.6%) did not found available the vaccine, 13 (15.8%) believes that vaccines don’t work, 8 (9.7%) had fear of adverse events, 3 (3.6%) reported previous adverse events, and 15 (18.2%) reported other reasons, that we classified as own decision 8 (9.7%) and disinformation 7 (8.5%) (Table 2).Table 1.Demographic characteristicsN= 102Age, years, mean (SD)51.27 (14.68)Female, n (%)84 (82.4)Diagnosis, n (%)-RA71 (69.6)-SLE13 (12.7)-OA12 (11.8)-Other AID6 (5.8)Conclusion:The main barriers in vaccination of rheumatic patients reported were the lack of availability of the indicated vaccines and the medical and patient disinformation. BaGd2ZnO5:Eu3+ phosphors were synthesized at sintering temperatures of 800, 900, 1000, 1100 and 1200 °C by high-energy ball milling method. The crystallinity, surface morphology and photoluminescence properties of phosphors were investigated by using X-ray diffraction (XRD), field-emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM) and luminescence spectrophotometry, respectively. The XRD results indicate that the crystallinity of the powder was improved and the powder shows a orthorhombic structure as the sintering temperature increased. The emission spectra of BaGd2ZnO5phosphors excited at 280 nm exhibit a series of shaped peaks assigned to the5D0→7FJ(J=0, 1, 2, 3) transitions, and luminescence intensity was increased with increasing sintering temperature. The FE-SEM images indicate that the size and shape of particles are regular.

553 Background: Although FOLFIRINOX and nab-paclitaxel plus gemcitabine have improved the survival of unresectable pancreatic cancer patients, high unmet medical needs still exist for the treatment of this cancer. Nivolumab has shown efficacy for multiple cancer types in not only its monotherapy but also combinations with conventional chemotherapies. This study aimed to assess the efficacy and safety of nivolumab in combination with modified FOLFIRINOX, which is one of the first line chemotherapy for pancreatic cancer. Methods: Thirty-one treatment-naïve patients with metastatic, unresectable/recurrent pancreatic cancer patients received nivolumab (480 mg, every 4 weeks) plus modified FOLFIRINOX (oxaliplatin 85 mg/m2, levofolinate 200 mg/m2, irinotecan 150 mg/m2 and fluorouracil 2400 mg/m2, every 2 weeks). The primary endpoint was objective response rate (ORR) (central assessment). Secondary endpoints were overall survival (OS), progression-free survival (PFS) (central assessment), safety etc. Results: The median duration of follow-up was 13.40 months. ORR was 32.3% (CR: 0.0%, PR: 32.3%) and the median duration of response was 7.36 (range 3.5-20.1+) months. Median OS and PFS were 13.40 (90% CI 10.87-15.24) months and 7.39 (90% CI 3.88-7.59) months, respectively. The 1-year survival rate was 54.8 (90% CI 39.1-68.1) %. The most frequently reported grade 3-4 drug-related adverse events were neutrophil count decreased (38.7%), decreased appetite (16.1%), hypokalemia (12.9%), febrile neutropenia (9.7%), nausea (9.7%) and white blood cell count decreased (9.7%). Adrenal insufficiency (3.2%) was observed as immune mediated adverse event. Conclusions: Nivolumab in combination with modified FOLFIRINOX had a manageable safety profile in patients with metastatic pancreatic cancer. Additional work is needed to determine the population who can benefit from the combination. Clinical trial information: JapicCTI-184230.

In this study, the effect of biochar on the high temperature resistance of cementitious paste was investigated using multiple experimental methods. The weight loss, cracks, residual compressive strength, and ultrasonic pulse velocity (UPV) of biochar cementitious paste with 2% and 5% biochar exposed to 300, 550 and 900 °C were measured. The products and microstructures of biochar cementitious paste exposed to high temperatures were analyzed by X-ray diffraction, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis, and scanning electron microscopy. The results showed that the cracks of specimens exposed to high temperatures decreased with increasing biochar content. The addition of 2% and 5% biochar increased the residual compressive strength of the specimens exposed to 300 °C and the relative residual compressive strength at 550 °C. As the exposure temperature increased, the addition of biochar compensated for the decreasing ultrasonic pulse velocity. The addition of biochar contributed to the release of free water and bound water, and reduced the vapor pressure of the specimen. The addition of biochar did not change the types of functional groups and crystalline phases of the products of cementitious materials exposed to high temperatures. Biochar particles were difficult to observe at 900 °C in scanning electron microscopy images. In summary, because biochar has internal pores, it can improve the high-temperature resistance of cement paste.

AbstractAngiotensin converting enzyme (ACE), as part of renin angiotensin aldosterone system, is involved in blood pressure regulation and control several physiological functions. Insertion/Deletion (I/D) polymorphism of ACE has pronounced effects on development of metabolic diseases like diabetes, cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) and hypertension. However, association of I/D polymorphism with risk of diabetes in CVD patients is not known. The aim of present study was to check the association of ACE I/D polymorphism with risk of diabetes in subjects with CVD. For this, 531 subjects were sampled and divided into 3 groups; G1-H (healthy controls, n=117), G2-CN (cardiac patients without diabetes, n=271) and G3-CD (cardiac patients with diabetes, n=143). Genotyping of ACE I/D polymorphism was done by polymerase chain reaction. Allelic and genotypic frequencies were in Hardy Weinberg Equilibrium (χ2=0.11, p>0.05) and revealed high prevalence of I allele (55%) among all groups. However, II genotype was more common (37%) in G3-CD group. Level of glucose was also higher in subjects with II genotype than DD genotype (12.6±6.3 mmol/L vs. 9.7±5.1 mmol/L). Logistic regression analysis revealed that ACE II genotype increase the risk of diabetes in CVD patients by ~2 times [OR=1.94, CI: 1.24–3.01, p=0.03]; however, this association did not reach the significance level when adjusted for age and gender. In conclusion, ACE I/D polymorphism influence the risk of diabetes in CVD patients and ACE II increases this risk by ~2 fold.

The influence of sink development on the response of shoot growth in cotton (Gossypium hirsutum L. cv. Siokra BT1-4) was investigated by growing plants at three levels of CO2=2 concentration: 350 (ambient), 550 and 900 μL L-1 and six levels of nitrogen (N) supply ranging from deficient to excess (0-133 mg N kg-1 soil week-1). Changes in leaf N concentration were also investigated. At 59 days after sowing, there was an average 63% increase in shoot growth at 550 μL CO2 L-1 compared with ambient CO2-grown plants, with no significant growth increase at 900 μL CO2 L-1 and, this response was closely matched by sink development (flower number and stem weight). Low N supply restricted the responses of both sink development and shoot growth to high CO2. At elevated CO2, leaf N concentration was reduced by an average 27% at low to adequate N supply. The high CO2-induced reduction in leaf N concentration, however, disappeared when the N supply was increased to a high level of 133 mg N kg-1 soil week-1. These CO2 effects on leaf N concentration were smaller when N was expressed per unit leaf area, apparently due to a combination of the effects of elevated CO2 or high N supply reducing specific leaf area and, to an N uptake limitation at low to moderate levels of N supply. The critical foliar N concentrations (leaf N concentration at 90% of maximum shoot growth) were reduced from 42 to 38 and 36 mg g-1 when CO2 concentrations were increased from 350 to 550 and 900 μL L-1 respectively, indicating that changes in fertiliser management may be required under changing CO2 concentrations.

Er3+ -doped ZnO nanocrystalline powders are successfully prepared by the chemical precipitation method, using various doping concentrations of Er3+ at different annealing temperatures from 500°C to 900°C. The characteristic emission peaks of the excitation state 4S3/2 (550 nm), 2 H 11/2 (520 nm), 4 F 5/2 (455 nm) → 4 I 15/2 transition of Er3+ ions are observed in a wide visible band of the ZnO host. The relationship between the PL intensity of integration of nanocrystalline ZnO:Er3+ and the annealing temperature and doping concentration of Er3+ is given; it is found that the optimal dopant concentration and annealing temperature are 4.0 × 10-3 M and 850°C for the 4 S 3/2 → 4 I 15/2 (550 nm) and 4 F 5/2 → 4 I 15/2 (455 nm) transition of Er3+ . Based on these results, the mechanism of the emission spectra of ZnO is analyzed and its defects on the spectral properties are discussed. An energy transfer from excited states of ZnO hosts to doping Er3+ ion centers is revealed by the fact that PL intensity of the peaks of nanocrystalline ZnO:Er3+ changes with the annealing temperature and doping concentration of Er3+ , and another from the 4f–4f transition of Er3+ .

553 Background: The phase 3 BOLERO-2 study at 18 months’ median follow-up showed that everolimus (EVE) + exemestane (EXE) significantly improved progression-free survival (PFS) vs EXE alone in 724 hormone-receptor–positive (HR+) advanced breast cancer (ABC) patients with recurrence/progression during/after nonsteroidal aromatase inhibitor (NSAI) therapy. A higher rate of grade 3/4 adverse events was noted with EVE + EXE, but was not associated with deterioration in quality of life (QOL) based on the EORTC QLQ-C30 Global Health Status scale. Additional patient-reported post hoc analyses of QOL are reported herein. Methods: During BOLERO-2, QOL (EORTC QLQ-C30 and QLQ-BR23) was assessed at baseline and q 6 wk thereafter until progression or discontinuation. Physical, emotional, and social functioning subscales of QLQ-C30 were analyzed. Time to definitive deterioration (TTD) was defined based on either a 5% (protocol specified) or 10-point (more stringent) decrease from baseline for each subscale and analyzed by Kaplan-Meier methods. The difference between treatments was assessed by a log-rank test stratified by randomization factors. Results: QLQ-C30 compliance was > 80% at week 48. Among the 3 protocol-specified QLQ-C30 subscales, analyses based on a 5% decrease in QOL showed a longer TTD for both physical and emotional functioning in the EVE + EXE group vs EXE alone (log-rank P = .0120 and P = .0277, respectively). The TTD for social functioning was similar in both treatment arms (log-rank P = .3374). Analyses based on a 10-point decrease indicated a longer TTD for physical functioning in the EVE + EXE group (15.2 mo) vs EXE alone (9.7 mo; log-rank P = .0211). The TTDs for emotional and social functioning were similar between EVE + EXE and EXE alone: 13.9 vs 13.8, respectively (log-rank P = .4023), and 11.5 vs 9.5, respectively (log-rank P = .2507). Conclusions: The treatment goal for ABC is to maximize clinical benefit with minimal negative effects on QOL. These additional BOLERO-2 QOL analyses confirmed that the more than doubling of PFS with EVE + EXE was accompanied by maintained physical, emotional, and social functioning compared with EXE alone in patients with HR+ ABC progressing after NSAI. Clinical trial information: NCT00863655.

Abstract. In this study we present the first long term measurements of atmospheric nitrogen dioxide (NO2) using a LED based Long Path Differential Optical Absorption Spectroscopy (LP-DOAS) instrument. This instrument is measuring continuously in Hong Kong since December 2009, first in a setup with a 550 m absorption path and then with a 3820 m path at about 30 m to 50 m above street level. The instrument is using a high power blue light LED with peak intensity at 450 nm coupled into the telescope using a Y-fibre bundle. The LP-DOAS instrument measures NO2 levels in the Kowloon Tong and Mongkok district of Hong Kong and we compare the measurement results to mixing ratios reported by monitoring stations operated by the Hong Kong Environmental Protection Department in that area. Hourly averages of coinciding measurements are in reasonable agreement (R = 0.74). Furthermore, we used the long-term data set to validate the Ozone Monitoring Instrument (OMI) NO2 data product. Monthly averaged LP-DOAS and OMI measurements correlate well (R = 0.84) when comparing the data for the OMI overpass time. We analyzed weekly patterns in both data sets and found that the LP-DOAS detects a clear weekly cycle with a reduction on weekends during rush hour peaks, whereas OMI is not able to observe this weekly cycle due to its fix overpass time (13:30–14:30 LT – local time).

Blood samples of 900 dogs living in the area of Attiki (Greece) were examined. The dogs were over one year old, of different breeds, both sexes and didn't receive heartworm chemoprophylaxis or chemotherapy. All samples were examined by the modified Knott's method for the detection of microfilariae, while a serological examination (ELISA kit PetChek®, IDEXX) for the detection of parasitic antigen was performed to 552 of them. Six out of 900 (0.7%) of the samples were found positive for Dirofìlaria immitis: in 2 of them both microfilariae and parasitic antigen were detected, in 3 only parasitic antigen and in 1 sample only microfilariae were detected. The animals, in which microfilariae D. immitis were detected, were hunting dogs, often taken for hunting out of Attiki region. Moreover, in 4 of the 900 samples (0,4%) microfilariae Dirofìlaria repens were found. According to these results, the prevalence of D. immitis infection of the dog in Attiki is low. Preventive measures such as chemoprophylaxis against dirofilariosis must be taken in order to keep the infection at low level in Attiki.

0n 21 October 1989, a total of 902 randomly selected cyclists were questioned at the finish of the Burger-Sanlam 100km/50km race to determine the prevalence of cycling injuries in the preceding year. Of the total sample 551 cyclists (61 %) reported they had been injury-free during the 12 month period prior to the investigation. The remaining 351 cyclists had sustained a total of 681 injuries during the same period ie approximately 2 injuries per cyclist per year. The most commonly reported injuries were over-use injuries resulting in pain and discomfort in the back and neck regions (41%), with pain in the knee joint being the second most frequently reported injury (29%).This descriptive study has provided valuable base-line information on the types and frequency of injuries sustained by South African cyclists. In particular, the high number of overuse injuries associated with faulty ergonomics has generated hypotheses for further study. An intimate knowledge of the ergonomics related to the sport, as well as attention to educational programmes is also strongly indicated.

9097 Background: Targeted therapies based on oncogenic drivers demonstrate dramatic and durable response in patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). However, acquired resistance inevitably develop by diverse genomic resistance mechanisms. Genotype-matched targeted therapies to overcome treatment-resistance have not been established, except osimertinib against EGFR T790M mutation. Methods: We established a nation-wide genomic screening project in treatment-resistant NSCLC (LC-SCRUM-TRY; UMIN000041957) in September 2020 to identify the genetic resistant alterations, and to promote clinical therapeutic development. Enrolled patients have been screened for genetic alterations using a rapid next-generation sequencing (NGS) system, Oncomine Precision Assay (OPA) for tissue samples, and Guardant 360 (G360) or OPA for plasma samples. MET amplification was also evaluated by FISH for NSCLC post EGFR-TKI treatment. Results: As of January 2023, 129 institutions in Japan were participating, and 1252 patients had been enrolled. Sample types were tissue (84%), and plasma (16%), respectively. Turn-around-time (median [interquartile range]) of OPA and G360 was 5 (4-6), and 9 (8-10.5) days, respectively. Of these, a total of 711 (57%) were already identified to have oncogenic driver at enrollment ( EGFR, 556 [43%]; ALK, 70 [6%]; RET, 22 [2%]; ROS1, 21 [2%]; KRAS, 15 [1%]; ERBB2 exon 20 insertion [ex20ins], 8 [0.6%]; MET exon 14 skipping [ex14skip], 8 [0.6%]; BRAF V600E, 7 [0.6%]; NTRK3, 2 [0.2%]; others, 2 [0.2%]). Of 556 EGFR-mutated NSCLC, 537 (97%) were enrolled post EGFR-TKIs. EGFR mutation subtypes were exon 19 deletion (52%), L858R (41%), ex20ins (1%), others (6%), respectively. Of 537 EGFR-TKI resistant tumors, 326 (40%) had at least one genetic alteration related with drug resistance, including EGFR alterations (amplification [13%], C797S [4%], A750P [3%], E709X [2%], L792X [1%], L718Q [1%]), MET amp (16%), and other driver mutation/rearrangement (8%). Through this screening, 37 (7%) of patients resistant to EGFR-TKI were enrolled into clinical trials, with 16/102 (16%) patients with targetable alterations ( MET amp or EGFR C797S). In addition, of 541 NSCLC without oncogenic drivers at enrollment, 116 (21%) were identified to have actionable oncogenic drivers with FDA-approved drug (KRAS G12C, 23 [4%]; ERBB2 ex20ins, 23 [4%]; RET, 13 [2%]; MET ex14skip, 13 [2%]; EGFR except ex20ins, [4%]; EGFR ex20ins, 10[2%]; ALK, 6 [1%]; ROS1, 5 [1%]). Conclusions: LC-SCRUM-TRY contributes to the clinical development of precision medicine to overcome drug resistance, especially for EGFR-mutated NSCLC resistant to EGFR-TKI. This screening platform also help to practice precision medicine for patients initially diagnosed as driver-negative. Clinical trial information: UMIN000041957 .

The 0.95MgTiO3-0.05CaTiO3 (95MCT) powders and ceramics were prepared by a sol-gel method by using Mg(NO3)2•6H2O, Ca(NO3)2•4H2O and Ti(C4H9O)4 as the starting materials. The effects of calcination temperature on phase formation, morphology and particle size distribution of the proposed powders were examined, and the microwave dielectric properties of 95MCT ceramics made from different size particles were investigated. The dried gels were calcined at 600 °C, 700 °C, 800 °C and 900 °C, and the derived particle sizes of powders were 10-20 nm, 50-100 nm, 60-120 nm and 120-150 nm, respectively. The proper sizes, which range from 50-150 nm, lowered the sintering temperature of 95MCT ceramics effectively from 1400 °C to 1175 °C due to the high surface energy. Sintered at 1175 °C, the 95MCT ceramic prepared from 50-100 nm size particles had compact structure and exhibited good microwave dielectric properties: εr = 21.33 and Q×f = 36,315 GHz.

COMPARISON OF ETO ESTIMATION METHODS AND SENSITIVITY ANALYSIS FOR DIFFERENT BRAZILIAN CLIMATES 2 ABSTRACT Estimation of reference evapotranspiration (ETo) is of great importance for agriculture and irrigation management. The Penman-Monteith method is considered standard for estimating ETo. However, because it is complete, the standard method presents as a disadvantage the need for a range of meteorological variables. The objective of this research was to evaluate the performance of Hargreaves-Samani, Makkink, Priestley-Taylor, Turc, FAO-24 and Blaney-Criddle methods for the climatic conditions of the six Brazilian regions. The verification of the performance of these models was made by comparison to the Penman-Monteith method. To evaluate the performance of the methods, the square root of mean-square error (MSE), mean absolute error (MAE), error of estimate (EE) and coefficient of determination (R2) were used. Among the methods studied, that of Turc was the one that presented the best results for all the climates of Brazil, except for the tropical coastal climate. The Makkink method was the one that presented the best result for the coastal tropical climate. Sensitivity analysis revealed that air temperature and global radiation are the most important variables for the Penman-Monteith method, except for BL municipality, where the variable relative humidity was the most important. Keywords: irrigation, water consumption, evapotranspiration.

550 Background: We have previously demonstrated that PD-L1 mRNA expression can serve as prognostic biomarker in breast cancer (BC). In ER+/HER2- BC, RS and 70-gene signature are used to predict the risk of recurrence and benefit from chemotherapy. Methods: Discovery cohort (cohort 1) included 302 patients diagnosed with primary ER+/HER2- BC (1997-2005) in Stockholm health care region. Gene expression profiling has been performed using DNA microarrays (GSE48091) while information regarding tumor characteristics, treatment and follow-up have been obtained. TCGA’s dataset including 590 ER+/HER2- patients, was used as validation cohort (cohort 2). Kaplan–Meier estimates and Cox regression univariate/multivariable analyses were performed using breast cancer-specific survival(BCSS) and progression-free interval (PFI) as endpoints in cohorts 1 and 2, respectively. Gene signature scores were calculated using the R genefu package. Likelihood ratio (LR) tests and concordance indices (c-indices) were used to assess each score’s added prognostic value. Results: PD-L1 mRNA expression (treated as a continuous variable) was independently associated with better BCSS in cohort 1 (HR = 0.72; 95% CI = 0.58-0.90;p = 0.003) and with better PFI in cohort 2 (HR = 0.67; 95% CI = 0.50-0.90; p = 0.008) in the multivariable analysis. PD-L1 provided significant additional prognostic information beyond that of both RS alone (LR-Δχ2= 9.6; p = 0.002 and LR-Δχ2= 9.7; p = 0.002, in cohorts 1 and 2, respectively), and 70-gene signature score alone (LR-Δχ2= 10.4; p = 0.001 and LR-Δχ2= 9.2; p = 0.002 in cohort 1 and 2, respectively). C-indices for PD-L1 + RS vs RS were 0.65 vs 0.60 (cohort 1) and 0.66 vs 0.60 (cohort 2), and for PD-L1 + 70-gene vs 70-gene were 0.65 vs 0.59 (cohort 1) and 0.64 vs 0.54 (cohort 2), respectively. Conclusions: PD-L1 gene expression was correlated with better outcomes and can provide added prognostic value to RS and 70-gene signature scores in ER+/HER2- BC.

ZnSe thin films were deposited onto glass substrates by CW-CO2laser evaporation with the various evaporation times and laser power. SEM studies showed that the thicknesses of deposited films were varied from 176 nm to 1824 nm. AFM studies showed that the surface roughnesses were varied from 2.4 nm to 5.1 nm. The structure of deposited films were indicated by XRD technique which the result showed the cubic structure. The average crystallite sizes were calculated from the XRD pattern with ranged between 23.8 nm and 31.7 nm. The transmission spectates were ranged from 250 nm to 900 nm. The values of the optical bandgap energies determined from the absorption spectra were ranged between 2.61 eV and 2.88 eV. This paper presents the simple and low cost technique for ZnSe film deposition. Another advantage of this research is the high-precision control of thickness by the variation of the evaporation time and laser power.

High-quality bulk REBa2Cu3O7−x (RE = Y,Eu,Gd,Nd,La) was synthesized by a solution method. Stoichiometric amounts of yttrium, barium, and copper acetates were dissolved in glacial acetic acid. The acid was boiled away leaving a glassy acetate precursor. This precursor has shown amorphous scattering in XRD, a phenomenon consistent with atomic level mixing of reactants. The glassy precursor was subsequently heat-treated with a 5 °C/min ramp to 900 °C and a 2 h soak at 900 °C in air. The final product was obtained after heat treatment under oxygen at 550 °C with slow cooling to room temperature. Final products were analyzed by XRD, SEM, and four probe de-resistivity measurements. The mechanism of both precursor and product formation was examined through substitution studies and XRD. It was found that a combination of a rare earth acetate, barium acetate, and acetic acid was necessary for the formation of an amorphous precursor.

Tantalum oxide (Ta2O5) films at 400 nm thickness were prepared at room temperature by DC reactive magnetron sputtering. The effect of annealing temperature on film crystallinity, microstructure and optical properties were investigated. In order to indentify the crystalline structure and film morphology, X-ray diffraction (XRD) and field-emission scanning electron microscope (FE-SEM) measurements were performance. The optical properties were determined by UV-Vis spectrophotometer and spectroscopic ellipsometry (SE). The result showed that, with the annealing treatment at high temperature (700-900°C), the as-deposited films were crystallized to orthorhombic phase of tantalum pentaoxide (β-Ta2O5). In addition, the transmittance spectrum percentage indicated 87%, which corresponded to the obtained optical characteristic. The refractive index varied at 550 nm from 2.17 to 2.21 with increased of the annealing temperature.

Context. The Gaia Data Release 2 (DR2) contains more than half a million sources that are identified as variable stars. Aims. We summarise the processing and results of the identification of variable source candidates of RR Lyrae stars, Cepheids, long-period variables (LPVs), rotation modulation (BY Dra-type) stars, δ Scuti and SX Phoenicis stars, and short-timescale variables. In this release we aim to provide useful but not necessarily complete samples of candidates. Methods. The processed Gaia data consist of the G, GBP, and GRP photometry during the first 22 months of operations as well as positions and parallaxes. Various methods from classical statistics, data mining, and time-series analysis were applied and tailored to the specific properties of Gaia data, as were various visualisation tools to interpret the data. Results. The DR2 variability release contains 228 904 RR Lyrae stars, 11 438 Cepheids, 151 761 LPVs, 147 535 stars with rotation modulation, 8882 δ Scuti and SX Phoenicis stars, and 3018 short-timescale variables. These results are distributed over a classification and various Specific Object Studies tables in the Gaia archive, along with the three-band time series and associated statistics for the underlying 550 737 unique sources. We estimate that about half of them are newly identified variables. The variability type completeness varies strongly as a function of sky position as a result of the non-uniform sky coverage and intermediate calibration level of these data. The probabilistic and automated nature of this work implies certain completeness and contamination rates that are quantified so that users can anticipate their effects. Thismeans that even well-known variable sources can be missed or misidentified in the published data. Conclusions. The DR2 variability release only represents a small subset of the processed data. Future releases will include more variable sources and data products; however, DR2 shows the (already) very high quality of the data and great promise for variability studies.

A co-precipitation method for synthesizing Gd2O2S:(Yb3+,Er3+) nano-particles was developed, using the commercially available Gd2O3, Er2O3, Yb2O3, H2SO4 and NaOH as the starting materials. XRD analysis shows that the precursor can be transformed into single phase Gd2O2S nano-particles by calcining at 900 °C for 1 hour in hydrogen atmosphere. TEM observation shows that the Gd2O2S particles are quasi-spherical in shape and well dispersed, with a mean particle size of about 20-30 nm. Under 980nm infrared light excitation, the strongest emission bands of Gd2O2S:Er3+ nano-particles located at green region centered at 525 nm and 550 nm, attributing to the 2H11/2→4I15/2 and 4S3/2→4I15/2 transitions of Er3+ ions, respectively. The quenching concentration of Er3+ ions is 5 mol%. The up-conversion luminescent intensity increases obviously for Yb3+ and Er3+ co-doped Gd2O2S:(Yb3+,Er3+) nano-particles.

Purpose Ti-Si-N coating with nanocomposite structure is a promising protective coating for cutting tools which will be subject to high temperature oxidation during service. This study aims to investigate the thermal stability of Ti-Si-N coatings and lays the foundation for its application in high speed dry cutting. Design/methodology/approach Nanocomposite Ti-Si-N coating was deposited on stainless substrate and silicon wafer (100) by Ti90Si10 alloy target by using cathodic arc ion plating. The microstructure of Ti-Si-N coating had been detected by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). Findings The results suggested that the coating was TiN nanocrystals with a diameter of 6.3 nm surrounded by amorphous Si3N4. The oxidation test was conducted under 550, 650, 750, 800, 850, 900 and 950°C for 2 h. The structure evolution was observed by Scanning electron microscope (SEM), energy dispersive spectrum (EDS), XRD and XPS. The results indicated that rutile has been formed at 650°C, while Si3N4 began to oxidized at 800°C. The grain size of TiN increased from 6.3 to 13 nm as the samples oxidized from 550 to 800. Micro-crack also formed in samples oxidized over 900°C. Originality/value Ti-Si-N coating, in this study, was deposited by cathodic arc ion plating using alloy target at high-bias voltage. The oxidation temperature ranged from 500 to 950°C with TiN coating as reference.

e22513 Background: The pediatric cancer registry is an essential element of pediatric cancer control. More than 200000 pediatric cancer cases annually are expected in children and adolescents aged 0-14 globally. The current efforts are focusing to improve the survival rates for children and adolescents in LMICs since the survival has already exceeded 80% in most of the high income countries. Here we present the most updated results of the pediatric cancer registry in Turkey. Methods: Pediatric cancer registry has been established by theTurkish Pediatric Oncology Group and Turkish Pediatric Hematology Association in 2002. The childhood cancer cases registered between 2009-2019 was included in this analysis. International Childhood Cancer Classification System was used for the classification. Essential demographic findings, ICD-O-3 morphology and topography codes were recorded for each case. Results: During the 11 years from 2009 to 2019, 17770 cases were registered. For all cases, median age was 6.8 year (0-17; M/F 9973/7789, 3 hermaphrodite, 5 unknown). Age distribution was 0-4 yrs, 40.3%; 5-9 yrs, 24.0%; 10-14 yrs, 23.6%; 15-19 yrs, 12.1%) The distribution of the tumor types were [number of cases, percentage of total, median age yrs, M/F]: Leukemia (4570, 25.7%, 5.5, 2633/1937); Lymphoma & other RES tumors (3477, 19.6%, 9.9, 2324/1150, 1 hermaphrodite & 2 unknown); CNS [brain & spinal] (2493, 14.0%, 6.9, 1363/1129, 1 unkown); Symphatetic system (1426, 8.0%, 2.4, 743/683); Retinoblastoma (348, 2.0%, 1.5, 204/144); Renal (905, 5.1%, 3.2, 435/469, 1 unknown); Liver (304, 1.7%, 1.8, 172/132); Malignant bone (1209, 6.8%, 12.6, 658/551); Soft tissue sarcomas (1221, 6.9%, 7.5, 703/518); Germ cell (1165, 6.6%, 8.8, 426/736, 2 hermaphrodite, 1 unknown); Carcinoma & other malignant epithelial (533, 3.0%, 13.8, 254/279); Other/non-specific malignant (119, 0.7%, 8.5, 58/61). Five year survival rate was found as 71.9%. Conclusions: The data is the most essential part of the cancer control. This registry has been used widely among professionals since its establishment in 2002. Survival rates for children and adolescents has been improved to 70%. This is at the acceptable level for the income level of Turkey which is classified as an upper middle income country. The registry is a useful source for investigators and decision makers at national and international level.

The objective of the present work is to examine the preparation and characterization of the SiC sponge obtained by direct synthesis of high purity graphite and silicon powder in inert atmosphere at 1900 - 2000 0C for 2-3 hours. To burn out the carbon excess the samples were subsequently heated in oxygen atmosphere at 800 -900 0C resulting in a weight loss of SiC. The relative density of SiC sponge is 1.5-1.7 g/cm 3. The advantages of the proposed method are the high rate of ceramic yield and capability to create the ceramic samples of preliminary selected shape by using a graphite cell of different configurations. Raman scattering spectroscopy and electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) data have shown that SiC sponge produced by direct synthesis of graphite and silicon powder consists of 6H and 3C SiC polytypes.

1. Plasma aldosterone, 18-hydroxycorticosterone (18-OH-B), 18-hydroxydeoxycorticosterone (18-OH-DOC), corticosterone, cortisol and prolactin levels were determined during an angiotensin II infusion at increasing rates both with and without a simultaneous infusion of dopamine in seven normotensive subjects, in ten patients with essential hypertension, and in ten patients with primary aldosteronism. In a second set of experiments, maximum increases of these plasma levels were determined after metoclopramide (10 mg intravenously) in all subgroups. 2. As compared with the other groups, an exaggerated angiotensin II-induced response of plasma aldosterone and 18-OH-B levels was observed in the five patients with low-renin essential hypertension (LREH) and in five patients with idiopathic hyperaldosteronism (IHA). 3. Dopamine reduced the maximal increase of aldosterone and of 18-OH-B after angiotensin II to 259 ± 48 (sem) pg/ml and 511 ± 152 pg/ml repectively in LREH (without dopamine: 515 ± 74 and 908 ± 201 respectively; P<0.05), and to 466 ± 197 and 741 ± 212 in IHA (without dopamine: 766 ± 193 and 1264 ± 337 respectively; P<0.05). 4. The maximal increases of plasma aldosterone, 18-OH-B, and prolactin after metoclopramide (10 mg intravenously) were higher (P<0.01) in patients with LREH and in patients with primary aldosteronism. Plasma levels of 18-OH-DOC, corticosterone and cortisol were not affected by the stimuli applied. 5. The exaggerated response to metoclopramide as well as to angiotensin II and its reversion only by pharmacological doses of dopamine are consistent with an increased but ineffective dopamine inhibition of aldosterone and 18-OH-B in LREH and IHA.

Abstract Background Intravenous (IV) base solution shortages pose issues in the administration of IV antimicrobials and necessitate alternative administration strategies. Safety data supports 2-minute infusions of IV daptomycin up to the labeled dose of 6 mg/kg. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the safety of administering high-dose daptomycin (HDD) (>6 mg/kg) as a 2 minute IV infusion compared with traditional 30-minute infusion. Methods IRB-approved, retrospective cohort in a five-hospital health system admitted 9/1/17–9/1/18. Inclusion criteria: Patients receiving HDD as either a rapid 2 minute IV push (IVP) or a traditional 30-minute infusion (IVI) while inpatient. Exclusion criteria: <2 doses of HDD, pregnant, age <18, concomitant medication associated with infusion reactions (e.g., amphotericin B or monoclonal antibody). Primary outcome: proportion of patients with infusion-related reactions (IRR) after daptomycin administration. Infusion-related reactions were assessed using the Naranjo algorithm and adjudicated by 2 reviewers blinded to administration strategy. Bivariate statistical tests were used to compare patient characteristics and outcomes between groups. Data were reported using descriptive statistics and measures of central tendency. Results 300 patients included: IVP n = 200, IVI n = 100, representing a total of 1697 administrations. Median age IVP 61 (49, 71), IVI 63 (52, 74). Median BMI IVP 28 (23, 35), IVI 27 (23, 32). Median daptomycin dose IVP 700 (550, 900), IVI 700 (600, 900) with mg/kg doses of 8.2 (7.9, 10) and 8.3 (8, 10), respectively. Administration site was similar in both groups with the most common central venous catheters. Potential IRR occurred in 4% of the IVP arm and 1% of IVI arm, P = 0.28. After adjudication, IRR occurred in 1% of both treatment groups. Descriptions of IRR are in Table 1 and only 1 patient in the IVI arm required discontinuation. CPK elevations: 3% of entire cohort. Conclusion Administering HDD as an IVP was not associated with increased risk of IRR compared with IVI. This administration may be advantageous during fluid shortages and in outpatient administration. Disclosures All authors: No reported disclosures.

ENERGY DEMAND OF IN SOYBEAN SOWING WITH DIFFERENT FURROWER CONFIGURATIONS ABSTRACT: This research aimed to evaluate the energy demand required by a seeder-fertilizer for direct planting, with different configurations of furrowers in the implantation of soybean culture, in lowland areas. The experiment was conducted in two agricultural areas, typically cultivated with irrigated rice, located in the central region of the state of Rio Grande do Sul. A randomized block design was used, in a bifactorial arrangement, and four furrow configurations (shank, shank with furrow-groove system, corrugated disc and double disc) were evaluated in two areas with different characteristics (agricultural area 1 and agricultural area 2). The variables studied were drawbar pull, real travel speed, the slippage of the driving wheels of the tractor and specific fuel consumption. Based on the analysis of the results obtained in this study, it can be said that the furrow mechanisms influence the energy demand of the mechanized set, regardless of the agricultural area. Specific fuel consumption with the use of shanks instead of disks was 0.7 times lower, for both areas. Keywords: Agricultural mechanization, drawbar pull, fuel consumption, efficiency

The purpose of this research was to describe temporal variations in Rio residents’ support for the 2016 Olympic Games and in the relationship between perceptions of legacies and support for the event. Drawing on social exchange theory, perceptions (expectations and evaluations) of tangible, intangible, and environmental legacies should affect support intentions. A longitudinal trend study was designed. Four multistage stratified random samples of Rio residents were surveyed in 2012 (n = 900), 2014 (n = 900), 2016 (n = 723), and 2018 (n = 550). Results showed that perceptions of legacies and support for Rio 2016 Olympic Games decreased progressively from 2012 to 2018. In the early stages of preparation (2012 and 2014), expectations of intangible and environmental legacies were predictors of support. In the year of the event and 2 years after the event, perceptions of tangible legacies were predictors of support. Longitudinal findings show that, to gain support, organizers promise unattainable legacies, which then lead to dwindling support, as they fail to deliver them. Findings suggest that organizers’ plans and actions of sport mega-events must change.

Carbon deposits play a crucial role in the performance of catalysts, in terms of controlling both reaction selectivity and activity, this is most often manifest through catalyst deactivation. Understanding the structure and electronic properties of the carbon deposits formed on the surface of a catalyst is therefore an importance key. In this study the catalytic performance of Ni based on Y-Zeolite (CBV300) prepared by incipient wetness impregnation. The prepared catalyst was tested in a micro tubular reactor using temperature ranges of 500, 600 and 700 °C at atmospheric pressure, using a total flow rate of 36 ml/min consisting of 2 ml/min of N2, 17 ml/min of CO2and 17 ml/min of CH4. The calcination was carried out in the range of 500–900 °C. The catalyst is activated inside the reactor using hydrogen gas.The conversion of CH4observed over 5wt%Ni/ Y-Zeolite at 700 °C were 59.6%. The supported Ni catalysts were characterized by BET and TG/DTA techniques.

Biphasic calcium phosphate powders doped with zinc (Zn-doped BCP) were synthesized via sol-gel technique. Different concentrations of Zn have been successfully incorporated into biphasic calcium (BCP) phases namely: 1%, 2%, 3%, 5%, 7%, 10% and 15%. The synthesized powders were calcined at temperatures of 700-900°C. The calcined Zn-doped BCP powders were characterized using X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), differential and thermogravimetric analysis (TG/DTA) and field-emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM). X-ray diffraction analysis revealed that the phases present in Zn-doped are hydroxyapatite, β- TCP and parascholzite. Moreover, FTIR analysis of the synthesized powders depicted that the bands of HPO4 increased meanwhile O-H decreased with an increase in the calcination temperature. Field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM) results showed the agglomeration of particles into microscale aggregates with size of the agglomerates tending to increase with an increase in the dopant concentration.

Zirconium carbide (ZrC) coatings were prepared on C/C composite via molten salt reaction process at relatively low temperatures of 800-1000°C. During the reaction process, potassium fluorozirconate (K2ZrF6) played a role transporting zirconium from the molten salt to the C/C composite surface. Elevating reaction temperature increased the growth rate of coatings, simultaneously leaded to rougher coatings. The coatings growth rate increased with reaction time at first and then decreased gradually. The ZrC coatings prepared at 900°C for 5h was ~2m thickness. At the early stage, the low solubility of zirconium in the molten salt leaded to the low coatings growth rate. Secondly, the growth rate of the ZrC coatings was controlled by the chemical reaction between C/C composites and zirconium once zirconium was saturated in the molten salts. Thirdly, the control step of coatings formation turned into the diffusion of carbon through the formed ZrC coatings and which leaded to a gradual decrease of growth rate.

Abstract Introduction SARS-CoV-2 is a viral disease with potentially devastating effects. Observational studies of pregnant women infected with SARS-CoV-2 report an increased risk for FGR. This study utilizes data from a prospective SARS-CoV-2 registry in pregnancy, investigating the progression of fetuses to fetal growth restriction (FGR) at birth following maternal SARS-CoV-2 and evaluating the hypothesis of whether the percentage of SGA at birth is increased after maternal SARS-CoV-2 taking into account the time interval between infection and birth. Materials & Methods CRONOS is a prospective German registry enrolling pregnant women with confirmed SARS-CoV-2 infection during their pregnancy. SARS-CoV-2 symptoms, pregnancy- and delivery-specific information were recorded. The data evaluated in this study range from March 2020 until August 2021. Women with SARS-CoV-2 were divided into three groups according to the time of infection/symptoms to delivery: Group I<2 weeks, Group II 2–4 weeks, and Group III>4 weeks. FGR was defined as estimated and/or birth weight<10% ile, appropriate for gestational age (AGA) was within 10 and 90%ile, and large for gestational age (LGA) was defined as fetal or neonatal weight>90%ile. Results Data for a total of 2,650 SARS-CoV-2-positive pregnant women were available. The analysis was restricted to symptomatic cases that delivered after 24+0 weeks of gestation. Excluding those cases with missing values for estimated fetal weight at time of infection and/or birth weight centile, 900 datasets remained for analyses. Group I consisted of 551 women, Group II of 112 women, and Group III of 237 women. The percentage of changes from AGA to FGR did not differ between groups. However, there was a significantly higher rate of large for gestational age (LGA) newborns at the time of birth compared to the time of SARS-CoV-2 infection in Group III (p=0.0024), respectively. Conclusion FGR rates did not differ between symptomatic COVID infections occurring within 2 weeks and>4 weeks before birth. On the contrary, it presented a significant increase in LGA pregnancies in Group III. However, in this study population, an increase in the percentage of LGA may be attributed to pandemic measures and a reduction in daily activity.

Malaysian Dolomite has shown potential deoxygenation catalyst due to high capacity in removing oxygen compound and produce high quality of biofuel with desirable lighter hydrocarbon (C8-C24). The performance of this catalyst was compared with several commercial catalysts in catalytic pyrolysis of Waste Cooking Oil. Calcination at 900 °C in N2 produced catalyst with very high activity due to decomposition of CaMg(CO3)2 phase and formation of MgO-CaO phase. The liquid product showed similar chemical composition of biofuel in the range of gasoline, kerosene and diesel fuel. Furthermore, Malaysian Dolomite showed high reactivity with 76.51 % in total liquid hydrocarbon and the ability to convert the oxygenated compounds into CO2, CO, CH4, H2, hydrocarbon fuel gas, and H2O. Moreover, low acid value (33 mg KOH/g) and low aromatic hydrocarbon content were obtained in the biofuel. Thus, local calcined carbonated material has a potential to act as catalyst in converting waste cooking oil into biofuel. Copyright © 2018 BCREC Group.
