UDC 519.1 In 2002, Gary Chartrand and Ping Zhang [<em>The Steiner number of a graph,</em> Discrete Math., <strong>242</strong>, 41--54 (2002)] characterized the connected graphs G of order p ≥ 3 with Steiner number p , p - 1 , or 2. In our paper, we characterize all connected graphs G of order p ≥ 4 with Steiner number s ( G ) = p - 2 . In addition, we obtain some sharp Nordhaus–Gaddum bounds for the Steiner number of connected graphs whose complement is also connected.

ABSTRACT Objective: To evaluate short- and long-term mandibular dental arch changes in patients treated with a lip bumper during the mixed dentition followed by fixed appliances, compared with a matched control sample. Materials and Methods: Dental casts and lateral cephalograms obtained from 31 consecutively treated patients before (T0) and after (T1) lip bumper, after fixed appliances (T2), and a minimum of 3 years after fixed appliances (T3) were analyzed. The control group was matched as closely as possible. Arch width, arch perimeter, arch length, and incisor proclination were evaluated. Repeated measures ANOVA was used to analyze changes in measurements over all four time points between treatment and control groups. Results: Arch widths and crowding were always significantly different except at T2−T1. At T1−T0, only crowding decreased 3.2 mm while intercanine, interpremolar, and intermolar widths increased by 3.8, 3.3, and 3.9 mm, respectively. Changes at T3−T2 showed a significant decrease of 2.1 mm for crowding and an increase of 3.5, 2.9, 2.7, and 0.8 mm for intercanine, interpremolar, and intermolar widths and arch perimeter, respectively. Finally, at T3−T0, the reduction in crowding of 5.03 mm was significant and clinically important in the treated group. The differences between intercanine, interpremolar, and intermolar widths were also significant (2.1, 3.8, and 3.6 mm, respectively). All those differences favored the treated group. Conclusions: Mandibular dental arch dimensions were significantly changed after lip bumper treatment. At follow-up, all arch widths were slightly decreased, generating an increase of 0.4 mm in crowding, considered clinically irrelevant. Overall changes remained stable after an average 6.3-year follow-up.

The aim of this study was to evaluate the effects of a day with two separate training sessions (morning and afternoon) of rhythmic gymnastics on erythrocytes, leukocytes, muscle damage, oxidative stress, and hydration of Brazilian team [age 17.7 (±1.1) years; body height 165 (±0.5) cm; body mass 49.7 (±4.2) kg]. Heart rate and session-ratings of perceived exertion were used to monitor training intensity. Blood samples were collected immediately before (M1) and after (M2) the training day for analyzing erythrocytes, leukocytes, plasma creatine kinase activity, lactate dehydrogenase, alanine aminotransferase, aspartate aminotransferase, ferric reducing ability plasma, thyroid-stimulating hormone, and free T4. Saliva was collected for cortisol analysis. After 24 hours rest (M3), blood collection was performed to analyze creatine kinase and lactate dehydrogenase. The moderate-intensity training day induced significant elevations of total leukocytes (5,163.3 to 9,617.8), lymphocytes (1,752.7 to 2,729.7), neutrophils (2,873.9 to 6,163.6), monocytes (255.7 to 519.1), platelets (280,000.0 to 300,666.7), aspartate aminotransferase (13.1 to 25.6), lactate dehydrogenase (102.5 to 249.1), thyroid-stimulating hormone (1.0 to 3.2), and ferric reducing ability plasma (136.8 to 165.4), as well as significant reductions in red cells (4,691,111.1 to 4,497,777.8), hematocrit (42.1 to 39.3), and hemoglobin (12.9 to 12.5) at M2. There were also significant increases in creatine kinase (144.2 to 519.3) and lactate dehydrogenase (102.5 to 538.2) at M3. The average dehydration rate was 1.3%. A moderate-intensity day of training in rhythmic gymnastics of 8h21min duration caused hemolysis, leukocytosis, muscle damage, redox status perturbations, and insufficient hydration status. These findings show that athletes are exposed to physiological vulnerabilities that can possibly harm their performance and health.

Additive manufacturing by selective laser melting (SLM) was used to investigate the effect of powder feedstock on 316L stainless steel properties include microstructure, relative density, microhardness and mechanical properties. Gas atomized SS316L powders of three different particle size distribution were used in this study. Microstructural investigations were done by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Tensile tests were performed at room temperatures. Microstructure characterization revealed the presence of hierarchical structures consisting of solidified melt pools, columnar grains and multiform shaped sub-grains. The results showed that the SLM sample from the fine powder obtained the highest mechanical properties with ultimate tensile strength (UTS) of 611.9 ± 9.4 MPa and yield strength (YS) of 519.1 ± 5.9 MPa, and an attendant elongation (EL) of 14.6 ± 1.9%, and a maximum of 97.92 ± 0.13% and a high microhardness 291 ± 6 HV0.1. It has been verified that the fine powder (~16 μm) could be used in additive manufacturing with proper printing parameters.

To prepare the phase change materials for efficient low-temperature latent heat storage, microcapsules with commercial solid paraffin were synthesized by using in-situ polymerization process. Liquid paraffin was used first as core materials since it facilitates the direct observation of containment by the shell of melamine-formaldehyde resin (MF resin), and examines easily the optimal synthesizing condition. The effects of emulsion processes, pre-polymerization conditions, shell material content and reaction time on the quality of microcapsules were investigated. The experimental investigations show that the optimal process of synthesizing liquid paraffin microcapsules is adoptable to that of solid paraffin microcapsules. The as-prepared solid paraffin microcapsules show high quality. The microcapsules surface was smooth and dense, and be free of any adhesion. The measurements show that in the microcapsules solid paraffin was well encapsulated by MF resin. The microcapsule size was almost within the range of 6~33 μm and most intense distribution at 23 μm. DSC measurements gave two endothermic peaks with initial phase change temperature at 35°C and 50°C respectively, and the total enthalpy was above 134 J/g.

Positive fluid balance (FB) during the perioperative period may increase the incidence of postoperative complications, which may lead to longer hospitalization and higher hospital costs. However, a definitive association between positive FB and hospital costs has not yet been established. This retrospective observational study examined the association between perioperative FB and hospital costs of patients who underwent major surgical procedures. Medical records of patients who underwent major surgery (surgery time >2 h, estimated blood loss >500 mL) from January 2010 to December 2017 were analyzed to determine the associations between calculated FB (%, total input fluid—output fluid in liter/weight (kg) at admission) and total hospital cost ($). The analysis included medical data of 7010 patients. Multivariable linear regression analyses showed that a 1% increase in FB in postoperative day (POD) 0 (24 h), 0–1 (48 h), 0–2 (72 h), and 0–3 (96 h) significantly increased the total cost by $967.8 (95% confidence interval [CI]: 803.4–1132.1), $688.8 (95% CI: 566.3–811.2), $591 (95% CI: 485.7–696.4), and $434.2 (95% CI: 349.4–519.1), respectively (all p < 0.001). Perioperative cumulative FB was positively associated with hospital costs of patients who underwent major surgery.

The effects of a single implantation of a short-acting (< 120 days) growth promotant - 36 mg zeranol (Ralgro) - were studied with one, two and three year old steers grazing Mitchell (Astrebla spp.) grasslands from March to June 1981 (107 days) in south-west Queensland. Implantation increased (P<0.05) mean final liveweight by 9.7, 18.1 and 11.0 kg for the one, two and three year old steers, respectively (control groups 317.6 kg, 432.3 kg and 519.1 kg). Tn a second experiment, the effects of a single implantation of a long-acting (400 days) growth promotant - 45 mg oestradiol 17 beta (Compudose 400) - were studied with steers grazing Channel pastures from October 1983 to April 1985 (540 days) in far south-west Queensland. Implantation increased (P<0.01) both mean final liveweight by 30.7 kg (control group 577.1 kg) and carcass weight by 14.2 kg (control 306.4 kg). Daily liveweight gains for implanted and control steers were 0.48 kg and 0.43 kg per day respectively @<0.01). There was no significant difference between the implanted and control steers in dressing percentage (52.7 cf. 53.2%) and fat ;hicknes.s at the P8 rump sGe (20.2 cf. 18.9 mm).

Six biota species were collected from Qilianyu Island, South China Sea to determine the bioaccumulation and biomagnification of polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) and dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethane and its metabolites (DDTs). Concentrations of ΣPCBs and ΣDDTs in biota from Qilianyu Island ranged from 6.88 to 519.1 ng/g lipid weight (lw) and 7.0 to 19,413 ng/g lw, respectively. Significant differences for PCBs and DDTs concentrations were found among the six biota species from Qilianyu Island. The levels of PCBs and DDTs in intermediate egret were significantly higher than the other five biota species, which can be attributed to their different feeding and living habits. Significantly negative relationships between concentrations of PCBs and DDTs and δ13C values in the six biota species confirmed that dietary source is an important factor to determine the levels of PCBs and DDTs in biota species. ΣPCBs, ΣDDTs, PCB 28/31, PCB 52, and p,p′-DDE were biomagnified in the biota species from Qilianyu Island, and native species are suitable for studying the biomagnification of the contaminants. The toxic equivalent concentrations in birds from Qilianyu Island were significantly and positively correlated with PCBs concentrations, indicating that high concentrations of non- and mono-ortho-PCB congeners may induce adverse effects on bird species.

To examine evapotranspiration (ETc), soil evaporation (Es), and transpiration (Tr), and partitioning of ETc, a two-year field experiment was carried out in a maize field with drip irrigation under mulch in an arid region of northwestern China in 2017 and 2018. In the experiment we designed two treatments with full irrigation (T1) and growth stage-based strategic regulated deficit irrigation (T2). The applied irrigation of T2 was 40% of the T1 during both late vegetative and reproductive growth stages. Based on the measurements of soil water content (SWC) and Tr, a dual crop coefficient model (SIMDualKc) was calibrated and validated, and daily ETc, Es, and Tr were estimated. The model can simulate well the dynamic variations of SWC and Tr. The calibrated basic crop coefficient at the initial, mid-season, and end growth stages was 0.2, 1.15, and 0.75, respectively. The ETc was 507.9 and 519.1 mm for the T1 treatment, and 428.9 and 430.9 mm for the T2 treatment. The ratios of Tr to ETc were higher for the two treatments, ~90%, for two years. Collectively, both drip irrigation under mulch and strategic deficit irrigation after canopy covering of the ground can significantly reduce the ineffective proportion of ETc and Es.

Abstract Avalonian sections in the Saint John area, southern New Brunswick, have long contributed to global understanding of Cambrian chronostratigraphy. A tuffaceous bed in the Ratcliffe Brook Formation (RBF) in the Somerset Street section dated at c. 531 Ma has traditionally been considered to post-date small shelly fossils attributed to the Watsonella crosbyi Zone in the Hanford Brook section. A fine-grained tuffaceous bed approximately 8 m stratigraphically lower in the Somerset Street section yields a chemical abrasion isotope dilution–thermal ionization mass spectrometry zircon age of 532.3 ± 0.3 Ma; a tuffaceous carbonate unit in the lower RBF in Hanford Brook gives an age of 531.5 ± 0.3 Ma. Crystal and crystal-lithic tuff beds near the top of the RBF yield ages of 520.3 ± 0.3 Ma (in Hanford Brook) and 519.1 ± 0.3 Ma (in Ratcliffe Brook). The new ages confirm the correlation between the Somerset Street and Hanford Brook sections based on acritarchs and make the association of small shelly fossils in the Hanford Brook section younger than 531 Ma. This result is relevant to ongoing discussions on the age of the base of undefined Cambrian Stage 2. The radiometric ages also support a young age for the upper part of the RBF, perhaps extending into Epoch 2.

Aim: The aim of this study was to evaluate fracture toughness by indentation method of three dental ceramics processed by heat pressing. The ceramics evaluated were fluorapatite glass ceramic (ZIR), glass ceramic containing leucite (POM) and leucite-reinforced glass ceramic (EMP). Materials and methods: Ninety disks (13mm of diameter x 4mm of thickness) and nine rectangular specimens (25x4x2mm) were made to evaluate, respectively, microhardness/fracture toughness (n=30) and elastic modulus (n=3). Samples were obtained by pressing ceramic into refractory molds. After polishing, Vickers microhardness was evaluated under 4,904N load for 20s. Elastic modulus was measured by impulse excitation technique. Data from microhardness and elastic modulus were used to calculate fracture toughness, after measuring crack length under 19,6N load applied for 20s. Results were evaluated by ANOVA and Tukey´s test. Results: Microhardness (VHN) of POM (637.9±53.6) was statistically greater (p<0.05) than ZIR (593.0±14.3), followed by EMP (519.1±21.5); no significant difference (p=0.206) was noted for elastic modulus (GPa) (ZIR: 71.5±9.0; POM: 67.3±4.4; EMP: 61.7±2.3). Fracture toughness (MPa/m) of POM (0.873±0.066) was statistically lower (p<0.05) than ZIR (0.977±0.021) and EMP (0.965±0.035). Conclusion: The results suggest that fluorapatite glass ceramic (ZIR) and leucite-reinforced glass ceramic (EMP) processed by heat pressing presented greater fracture toughness, improving clinical prognosis of metal free restorations.

An experiment was conducted in the Kailali district to study the performance of wheat genotypes under different sowing from December, 2017 to April, 2018. The field experiment was conducted in Randomized Complete Block Design with a total of 18 treatments consisting of 2 dates of sowing (November 4 and November 20 ) and 9 wheat genotypes(WH1105, HD2733, HD2824, HD2967, Borlaug100, HD3086, PBW550, NL971 and PBW373). Grain yield (5.802 ton/ha),spike length(17.94 cm) and biomass yield(13.16 ton/ha) of NL 971 was highest. HD 2733 had highest number of effective tillers (519.1/ m2) while number of grains per spike(59.80) was highest in HD 2967. PBW 373 had lowest grain yield (4.551 ton/ha), Borlaug 100 was the variety with minimum number of tillers per m2 area (401.3), minimum spike length(15.14 cm) was observed in HD 2733 ,HD 3086 had lowest no. of grains per spike(42.12). Grain yield(5.328 ton/ha) , effective tillers per m2(475.5) , spike length(16.95 cm), number of grains per spike (53.12), biomass yield(11.45 ton/ha) was recorded maximum in wheat sown on 20th Nov. Grain yield (4.893 ton/ha),effective tillers(435.1), spike length(15.66 cm), grains per spike(49.59) and biomass yield(10.49 ton/ha) was recorded minimum in wheat sown on 4th Nov. Maximum test wt. (50.83 g ) was found in HD 2733 of 20th Nov. and the lowest test wt. (40.47 g) was found in PBW 550 of 20th Nov.

This study, conducted over two consecutive seasons (2018–2019), evaluates the yield and fruit physico-chemical traits of five commercial cultivars (‘Mollar’, ’Dente di Cavallo’, ’Acco’, ’Jolly red’ and ’Wonderful’) grown in the orchard at Foggia (Puglia region, southeastern Italy). The results show significant variations among the investigated cultivars for many measured parameters; seasons also significantly affected some data. As an average of the years, both ‘Dente di Cavallo’ and ’Wonderful’ significantly showed the highest numbers (16.8 and 15.2, respectively) and weights (9.3 Kg, respectively) of fruit per tree. ‘Jolly red’ had the highest percentage of edible portions (58,5%), the most intense red color in juice (a* value, 11.7), a light-red skin color (despite its name) (a*value, 31.1) and the smallest fruits (26.7% of diameter ≤80 mm). Total soluble solids of all cultivars were considerable above the minimum value (12 °Brix) required for commercial use. ‘Wonderful’ significantly presented the highest value of juice acidity (2.5 g citric acid 100 mL−1) and the lowest MI value, and therefore it was classified as sour. Both ‘Dente di Cavallo’ and ‘Wonderful’ had significantly higher phenolic contents (591.0 and 519.1 mg 100 mL−1, respectively) than the other cultivars, while ‘Dente di Cavallo’ significantly showed the highest antioxidant activity value (6.4 mmol TE 100 L−1). The Stepwise Discriminant Analysis procedure allowed a significant differentiation among the cultivars. Correlation analysis showed a considerable relation among the different fruit traits. The present data are helpful in the selection of elite desirable pomegranate cultivars to be used for commercial production.

Recent epidemiological, clinical, and experimental studies have demonstrated important links between sleep duration and architecture, circadian rhythms, and metabolism, although the genetic pathways that interconnect these processes are not well understood. Leptin is a circulating hormone and major adiposity signal involved in long-term energy homeostasis. In this study, we tested the hypothesis that leptin deficiency leads to impairments in sleep-wake regulation. Male ob/ob mice, a genetic model of leptin deficiency, had significantly disrupted sleep architecture with an elevated number of arousals from sleep [wild-type (WT) mice, 108.2 ± 7.2 vs. ob/ob mice, 148.4 ± 4.5, P < 0.001] and increased stage shifts (WT, 519.1 ± 25.2 vs. ob/ob, 748.0 ± 38.8, P < 0.001) compared with WT mice. Ob/ob mice also had more frequent, but shorter-lasting sleep bouts compared with WT mice, indicating impaired sleep consolidation. Interestingly, ob/ob mice showed changes in sleep time, with increased amounts of 24-h non-rapid eye movement (NREM) sleep (WT, 601.5 ± 10.8 vs. ob/ob, 669.2 ± 13.4 min, P < 0.001). Ob/ob mice had overall lower body temperature (WT, 35.1 ± 0.2 vs. ob/ob, 33.4 ± 0.2°C, P < 0.001) and locomotor activity counts (WT, 25125 ± 2137 vs. ob/ob, 5219 ± 1759, P < 0.001). Ob/ob mice displayed an attenuated diurnal rhythm of sleep-wake stages, NREM delta power, and locomotor activity. Following sleep deprivation, ob/ob mice had smaller amounts of NREM and REM recovery sleep, both in terms of the magnitude and the duration of the recovery response. In combination, these results indicate that leptin deficiency disrupts the regulation of sleep architecture and diurnal rhythmicity.

Aim: This study purposed to determine anti-spike IgG levels at the fourth week after the second dose in healthcare workers (HCWs) who had two doses of the CoronaVac vaccine (Sinovac Life Sciences, Beijing, China). The second purpose of the study was to evaluate several factors that may affect antibody levels. Material and Method: The study was performed at Kastamonu Training and Research Hospital. A total of 197 HCWs of both genders aged 20-63 were included in this study. Antibody levels that neutralize the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein S1 subunit were determined using the SARS-CoV-2 IgG II Quant kit from serum samples collected from the subjects between 10-16 March 2021. Also, a questionnaire containing information about demographic and clinical data was administered to all subjects. It was statistically investigated whether these data affected the anti-spike IgG levels. Results: All subjects had anti-spike IgG levels positive. The median value of the subjects' anti-spike IgG levels was calculated as 860.2 AU/mL (519.1-1674.1 AU/mL). Anti-spike IgG levels were statistically higher in non-smokers and Rh-positive subjects versus the smokers and Rh-negative subjects (p=0.001 and p=0.046, respectively). However, age groups, gender, COVID-19 history, blood type, and seasonal influenza vaccine did not significantly affect anti-spike IgG levels in the subjects (p>0.05). Conclusion: Anti-spike IgG responses were positive in all HCWs who received the CoronaVac vaccine. Besides, the results showed that smoking and Rh-factor affect the anti-spike IgG response. On the other hand, further studies need to examine more parameters with a larger number of subjects.

For much of the equipment mounted on a fighter aircraft, the vibration level during gunfire is high enough above vibration due to other situations, so that, in spite of its short duration, it dominates the vibration qualification specs. It is desirable to include a simple yet reliable gunfire vibration prediction technique in the appropriate environment standards, because the relevant measured data are seldom available in the early stages of development of a new aircraft. This article describes a study on gunfire vibration prediction performed during the buildup of the aeronautical application guide of the new French military environment standard, GAM EG 13B/Air 7306. The prediction technique of MIL-STD-810D (Method 519.3) is compared in detail with previous MIL-STD-810C (Method 519.2), and the underlying concepts are checked against various measured data. Comparisons are made with gunfire vibration measurements performed on a French fighter. The findings of this study were used to elaborate the GAM EG 13B/Air 7306 gunfire vibration prediction method presented here.

When solar panels reach end-of-life, the disposal of solar panel waste is an issue of concern because it creates environmental pollution if it is improperly disposed of. It is expected that such waste will probably be increasing as the widespread use of renewable energy is adopted by taking measures associated with carbon neutrality. Thus, accurate prediction of solar panel waste with future demands for renewable energy is urgently needed for sustainable waste management. This study examined the amounts of solar panels to be retried by 2050 under three scenarios (S1-BAU, S2, S3). The amounts of solar panels to be retired are estimated by using the PBM (population balance model) with the Weibull distribution. According to the carbon neutral scenario (S3), the total amounts of solar panels to be retired are anticipated to be around 172 kt in 2030, 932 kt in 2040, and 3146 kt in 2050. The total volume of retired solar panels was projected to be 168 kt in 2030, 820 kt in 2040, and 2331 kt in 2050 under the government-led scenario (S2). The average recovery of end-of-life solar panels produced by the three scenarios in 2050 is 1531 kt, 337 kt, 535 kt, and 22 kt for glass, aluminum, silicon, and copper, respectively. Economic benefits by resource recovery of retired solar panels in 2050 range from $25.6 million in S1 to $519.1 million in S3. Based on the sensitivity analysis with the weight of solar panel (5% and 10% reduction), the results indicated that the annual volumes of retired solar panels mostly fell within the range of 4.9% to 10.0% in 2050. To confirm the predicted volumes of retired solar panels in this study, a further study is warranted because they can be influenced by other factors (e.g., weight, technology development, early loss rate, or reuse and recycling options).

Abstract We compared historical (1909–1913) and contemporary (1997–1999) forest structure and composition on 15 permanent plots in ponderosa pine (Pinus ponderosa Dougl. ex Laws.) forests of Arizona and New Mexico. We used the same sampling methods as in the early 1900s and compared stand density, diameter distributions, species composition, and broad age classes from the two periods. Stand density (trees ≥9.14 cm dbh) significantly (P &lt; 0.001) increased on plots from an average of 77.4 trees per plot (s = 49.9) at plot establishment in 1909–1913 to 519.1 trees per plot (s = 252.3) at remeasurement in 1997–1999. Basal area significantly (P &lt; 0.001) increased from 8.0 m2 per plot (s = 3.5) to 28.5 m2 per plot (s = 10.1). Contemporary tree diameter distribution shifted toward smaller size classes as demonstrated by a significant (P = 0.001) decrease in quadratic mean diameter from 38.5 cm (s = 7.5) in 1909–1913 to 28.6 cm (s = 7.1) in 1997–1999. Broad age classes yielded an average of 61.5 (s = 49.5) residual live trees classified as “blackjack” ponderosa pine (P. ponderosa &lt;150 years) and 13.3 (s = 11.9) “yellow pine” (P. ponderosa ≥150 years) in 1909–1913. In 1997–1999, 416 live trees (s = 229.6) were “blackjack” and 57.2 (s = 28.5) trees on average were “yellow pine.” Twelve of the 15 plots were not invaded by other tree species (remained pure ponderosa pine type), while composition shifted slightly on three plots toward more shade-tolerant and fire-intolerant species. Ninety-one percent of the historically (1909–1913 or older) mapped tree structures (live trees, snags, logs, stumps, etc.) were relocated, which suggested that the forest reconstruction field techniques are reliable within 10%. Dramatic increases in tree densities may represent an increased potential for bark beetle epidemics and stand replacing wildfire over large areas in the Southwest. FOR. SCI. 50(2):162–176.

Critical thermal maxima (CTMax) and minima (CTMin) were determined for the blue crab, Portunus pelagicus acclimated at 15, 20, 25, 30, and 35° ± 1°C. The CTMax of blue crabs at those acclimation temperatures were 38.17, 39.08, 40.07, 41.26, and 42.66°C, respectively. The corresponding CTMin values were 12.28, 12.57, 14.84, 16.34, and 16.57°C, respectively. The zone of thermal tolerance assessed using the CTMax and CTMin boundaries was 519.7°C2. Acclimation response ratios ranged between 0.05 and 0.28.

UDC 519.21 We consider critical Galton–Watson processes starting from a random number of particles and determine the effect of the mean value of the initial state on the asymptotic state of the process. For processes starting from a large number of particles and satisfying the condition ( S ) , we prove the limit theorem similar to the result of W. Feller. We also prove the theorem under the condition W ( n ) > 0 for critical processes satisfying the conditions ( S ) and ( M ) .

UDC 519.21 We construct a confidence region of parameters for a sample of size N from the Cauchy distributed random variables. Although Cauchy distribution has two parameters, a location parameter μ ∈ ℝ and a scale parameter σ > 0 , we infer them simultaneously by regarding them as a single complex parameter γ : = μ + i σ . The region should be a domain in the complex plane. We give a simple and concrete formula to give the region as a disc and as a square.

УДК 517.9 + 519.6 Досліджено точну триточкову різницеву схему (ТТРС) для системи звичайних диференціальних рівнянь 2-го порядку з крайовими умовами першого роду. Знайдено послаблені умови (порівняно з відомими), за яких можливе перетворення ТТРС до однорідного дивергентного вигляду. Доведено теореми про коефіцієнтну стійкість і точність. Показано, що коефіцієнти ТТРС можна подати через розв'язки чотирьох задач Коші на проміжках довжини кроку сіт\-ки. Розв'язки цих задач можна одержати за допомогою будь-якого однокрокового методу, що приводить до усіченої різницевої схеми відповідного рангу.

UDC 519.21 Based on the topological dual space ℱ θ * ( S ' ℂ ) of the space of entire functions with θ -exponential growth of finite type, we introduce the generalized stochastic Bernoulli–Wick differential equation (or the stochastic Bernoulli equation on the algebra of generalized functions) by using the Wick product of elements in ℱ θ * ( S ' ℂ ) . This equation is an infinite-dimensional stochastic distributions analog of the classical Bernoulli differential equation. This stochastic differential equation is solved and exemplified by several examples.
