Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Kharkiv, 2018. The work is focused on solving the actual scientific and applied problem of the heat transfer intensification in plate heat exchangers of welded design for special applications, namely the heat recovery of flowsheets in refineries and chemical plants. The work suggests the new approaches towards estimation of heat and hydraulic behavior inside channels of plate heat exchangers with welded sealing. The proposed approach is based on the heat and momentum transfer analogy, and is applicable for corrugated plates of square and round shape. The semi-empirical correlation determining the heat transfer in the channel of plate heat exchangers, which enables to take into account the influence of the Prandtl number, is developed. A physical-and-mathematical model of fouling deposition during the time in welded plate heat exchangers is proposed based on the "threshold" fouling model concept, which allow the thermal resistance caused by fouling deposition to be predicted in time for different velocities of the flow and temperatures of eat carriers. The possible application conditions for crude oil pre-heat train are considered and welded plate heat exchangers of two types with minimal heat transfer surface area were designed for each operation position. The modification of shell-and-plate heat exchangers was proposed, applying the plates with different cross-section area of cold and hot channels, which can be used for the conditions when the flow rates for the heat carriers differs significantly. The case study of the waste heat utilization from refinery is considered. The utilization of the waste low-grade heat for the district heating and hot tap water supply is proposed, with the design of twenty individual heat sub-stations for each household using the welded plate heat exchangers.

Повний текст джерелаВ работе выполнен тепловой, гидравлический и конструктивный расчеты пластинчато-ребристого аппарата компрессорной установки с треугольной, прямоугольной и трапециевидной насадками. В результате расчета определены коэффициенты теплоотдачи от горячего и холодного теплоносителей, геометрические параметры аппарата и потери давления в аппарате. Проведено исследование эффективности этих аппаратов с различными видами насадок и выбрано оптимальный вариант, который работает с наибольшими показателями эффективности по горячему и холодному теплоносителю. Также были рассмотрены вопросы охраны труда на компрессорном предприятии, где эксплуатируются такие теплообменники и выполнен расчет воздухообмена в производственном помещении.
In the work, the thermal, hydraulic and structural calculations of the lamellar-ribbed apparatus of the compressor unit with triangular, rectangular and trapezoidal nozzles were performed. As a result of the calculation, the coefficients of heat transfer from hot and cold heat carriers, the geometric parameters of the apparatus and the pressure loss in the apparatus were determined. A study of the efficiency of these devices with various types of nozzles was carried out and the optimal option was selected, which works with the highest efficiency indicators for hot and cold coolant. Also, the issues of labor protection at the compressor plant, where such heat exchangers are operated, were considered and the calculation of air exchange in the production room was performed.

The thesis is dedicated to problems of heat transfer intensification and development of optimal design methods of gasketed plate heat exchangers and their systems with taking into consideration the heat surface fouling during operation. The method of optimum design of plate heat exchanger systems and heat exchangers based on the criterion of reduced costs is developed for the first time. The mathematical model that takes into account the appearance of deposits on heat transfer surfaces in the process operation, was used to calculate the optimal design of plate heat exchangers by reduced costs criterion. The new experimental results in fouling of heat transfer surface when heated saline water were obtained. It is shown that availability of turbulence elements on the surface are greatly reduces the intensity of deposits appearance. In working sugar factory during two season’s sugar juice boiling was monitored on 4 in series gasketed plate heat exchangers. The method of reconstruction by replacing shell-and-tube heaters with plate heat exchangers is developed and scientifically grounded. Modernization involves the pinch analysis of energy efficiency of sugar evaporation station with separation branch of sugar juice preheating system, where heaters installed in series. The further developed asymptotic approach to assessing the nature of the occurrence of deposits is presented as a part of the proposed mathematical model. His physical-mathematical model, which was implemented in the design of the system heaters working sugar plant, is presented. Based on the models and methods of optimal design of gasketed plate heat exchangers mathematical software were created to select the type and calculation of heat exchangers surface by criterion of adjusted cost with the deposits counts appearance during operation.

Повний текст джерелаA mathematical model of Plate Heat Exchanger (PHE) is given for the fouling formation on the surface of the plates. The model is represented by the system of partial differential equations. The system integration allows estimate local process parameters and to calculate the development in time of deposited fouling layer thickness. The model validity is confirmed by data of PHE operation in industrial conditions.
