The purpose of this article is to trace the history of women's activism in Pakistan, as well as the policies of the Pakistan People's Party and Pakistan Muslim League (N) Governments (1988-1999). This period after the revival of democracy following the military government is significant in understanding women’s activism as well as the policies of two prime ministers with diametrically opposed ideological orientations. Explaining this movement's various expressions is necessary to comprehend its various phases. This study will help to identify the significance of specific historical circumstances, power structures, and national and international policy dynamics in shaping the women's rights movement in Pakistan. This study critically examines women's rights activism during the four terms of democratically elected prime ministers and how they responded to women's rights aspirations for equal status for women in society. This historical analysis is necessary to determine whether contemporary activism is a continuation of the past or distinct in terms of goals and modalities.

Both Begum Rokeya's earlier and Arundhati Roy's more recent voices have advocated for women's freedom in essentially the same ways. Although critics have examined how they raise their voices against women’s exploitation, the current situation of women’s suffering when comparing Rokeya and Arundhati’s dreams is not shown. In order to demonstrate a gap in their research, the study compared the conditions of women in Rokeya's literature with the state of current society by discussing Arundhati's works. This essay is written using Begum Rokeya's Sultana's Dream and Arundhati Roy's The God of Small Things as primary sources. My attempt in this paper is to demonstrate how Begum Rokeya's vision of women's independence is still a dream by referring to relevant scholarly articles and interpreting the works of Arundhati Roy.

Today, as non-mainstream stories appear as exhibition contents in history museums, it can be seen that there is a need for research on the subject and expression method. Therefore, with the goal of providing basic data on women's museums as a preliminary study, the probability of the original data and expression were examined, focusing on the exhibition of women's museums. Chapter 1 raises the background of the study and the need for the aforementioned preliminary investigation, and Chapter 2 examines the meaning and characteristics of the women's museum. In Chapter 3, the basic status, exhibition system, direction, and operation direction of each institution were investigated for the Bonn Women’s Museum in Germany, Gender Museum of Denmark, and Merano Women’s Museum in Italy. As a result of the study, it was found that the composition context that began with the grassroots movement affects the direction of operation. Second, as it expanded to the issue of “gender and society” rather than “women versus men” the scope of women's museum acceptance also expanded, which seems to affect the expression of exhibition contents. Third, we found the need to review women's things. Finally, all three institutions had something in common that they used the historicity of space to richly convey women's stories and create values by discovering historicity and meaning on their own.

This study aims to oversee the practice of gender injustice that affects rural women's lack of substantive political participation in Bondowoso Regency. During the Legislative General Election in 2014-2019 and 2019-2024, women's political participation was complimentary for the registration and administrative requirements rather than substantial involvement. This situation continues to happen even after the release of regulations that require the fulfillment of a quota of 30 percent of women’s representation in a political party. This study uses a qualitative approach. Furthermore, this study also uses a feminist approach. By using that feminist approach, this study aims to discover (1) how rural women in Bondowoso respond to political engagement and (2) how religious arguments are interpreted concerning the role of women in political engagement. This study found that (1) women’s involvement in politics is high in quantity rather than quality. Women’s political participation does not directly guarantee their active role in the political world. Instead of making a maximum contribution to the development of politics, women’s participation is stigmatized. (2) One circumstance that hinders women’s participation relates to the misogynistic interpretation of religious teachings in Bondowoso’s rural society. It refers to patriarchal domination in understanding the concept of leadership in Islam that eventually stigmatizes women’s involvement in politics.

Islam regards men and women as equals with equal rights. However, there are major differences between men and women. This research will look into gender concerns in Islamic education. The study's goal is to assess Islamic education from a gender perspective and learn more about how Islam is taught. This type of inquiry is known as library research. To assess all of the study's data, the researchers used descriptive analytic approaches. Before investigating gender perspectives, the researchers gathered information on Islamic education. The results of this study show that men and women have similar perspectives on the role of women in Islamic education. When a society is peaceful, the issue of gender discrimination can be handled. The study discovered no differences in men's and women's intelligence or ability for thought, and as a result, women had an equal place in Islamic education to men in terms of gender representation.

Therefore, the recitation is a religious institution deeply rooted in Islamic society, one of which is the JN Surabaya Taklim Council. This study aims to determine women's consumption practices in the JN Surabaya Taklim Council. The type of research chosen in this study is qualitative research with a form of qualitative descriptive research. In this study, the JN Surabaya recitation council members were research informants. Women’s empowerment conduces economic growth and is crucial for empowering women. Economic freedom means that people can take economic actions independently. Yet, women remain disadvantaged in developing countries like Pakistan. The current study analyses how economic freedom fosters women’s empowerment in Pakistan. We employed time series data for 1990-2021. We employed an index of women’s empowerment (WEI) and the Women's Business and Law Index (WBLI) for economic freedom. WBLI is based on 8 distinct indicators that include diverse aspects of a woman’s life. After unit root testing, we used the ARDL approach followed by the Bound test. The long and short-run empirics have confirmed the association of women’s empowerment and economic freedom in Pakistan. There is a positive and statistically significant relationship between them. A significant ECT term with a negative sign further confirms the long-run association. Women’s mobility, women’s decision to work, rules and laws for equal pay, legal barriers to marriage for women, women’s decision to work after childbirth, restrictions for registering a business on women entrepreneurs, discrimination in the division of property and regulation for women’s pension are the factors that still impede the absolute economic freedom of women in the society.

This research paper aims to shed light on the reality of women's economic empowerment in Algeria as a goal of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals for the year 2030. Algeria has realized the importance of integrating and empowering women socially, culturally and economically, so it worked to provide the legal environment supportive of the positive participation of women in economic activities. This is in addition to the international agreements that it has ratified to achieve the empowerment of women and activate their role in development. The study sought to answer the main question, which revolves around the challenges that women face in leading their own projects by analyzing the obstacles that women face and limit their economic contribution to society, as Algeria includes the largest percentage of women engineering graduates in the world, with a rate of 48.5% of the total engineering graduates. In the country, however, men still dominate the profession itself. In order to answer this problem, the deductive approach is relied on, with its appropriate description and analysis tools, to study the legal and financial system to support women’s entrepreneurship, confront the obstacles that prevent them from achieving their success, and put forward proposals that contribute to their pioneering leadership in the business world. The study reached a set of results, the most important of which is that women in Algeria face many social, administrative and economic difficulties in the field of entrepreneurship. The authorities must work to promote innovation and creativity in women's entrepreneurship projects and provide legal and financial support to develop their creativity while finding innovative ways to market and develop women's entrepreneurship projects

Women's involvement in business life and better understanding of the concept women's labor force can be attributed to the Industrial Revolution that emerged in the UK in the 18th century. With the industrial revolution, the world has started to change, whereby it is suggested that demand for labor force has emerged, and women and men play an important role in meeting those demands. An entrepreneur can be defined as the person who gathers production factors to realize the production of economic good and services to meet the needs. Realizing every entrepreneurial activity within a certain plan and schedule is an integral part of laying the foundation of a healthy enterprise. Otherwise, it is possible for many enterprises to encounter undesired situations such as bankruptcy or closure and losing all existing savings because of financial and technical problems within the business cycle. It has been suggested that the continuous low rate of women's employment cannot be associated with a single reason. However, largely, the obstacles in women's employment can be listed as follows: traditional family structure, social value judgments, gender-oriented division of labor, weakness of the demand structure for women's work, low volume of employment in the society, rural-to-urban movement of migration, disintegration in agricultural production structure, low level of women's education and especially in professional areas, fertility of women, motherhood, deinstitutionalization of housework and childcare, and lack of mechanisms that facilitate introduction of women into the labor market. In Turkey, numerous institutions and organizations support women's entrepreneurship. Apart from moral support, institutions also provide financial support for women. Some examples of these institutions are KAGİDER, TOBB, KOSGEB, Chamber of Industry, Chamber of Commerce, local administrations, and Entrepreneurship Foundation etc.

Among the printed information and entertainment media, publications for women are the most popular in the modern world. With the appearance of international glossy editions, new perspectives and approaches to the study of media broadcasting have opened up in the history of women's magazines. The intensive development of gender studies has recently caused a natural interest in the study of the image of a woman in various spheres of communication, and the media space is no exception. Gender-oriented women's magazines act not only as translators of gender culture, representing images of femininity, behavior strategies and models of relationships, but also as creators of a "new image" of a modern woman. The purpose of women's magazines is the formation of gender stereotypes specific to a certain society. The article examines the peculiarities of the formation of gender stereotypes in modern glossy publications for women, which are built on the basis of certain norms of association and social roles, and women's magazines themselves acquire the status of a special cognitive-communicative phenomenon with a feminine accent.

Kate Chopin, an American novelist and short story writer representing women’s revolt against patriarchal rule, positions women in the center of her works. She deals with women's experiences in the context of gender roles, their conflicts with society, their discovery of their own bodies and the following awakening. Henrik Ibsen is one of the most important writers of Norwegian drama. Similarly, Ibsen highlights the individual's conflict with society as a kind of alienation on the axis of individual-society antagonism. Edna Pontellier, the protagonist in Chopin's novel The Awakening (1899), and Nora Helmer in Henrik Ibsen's play A Doll's House (1879), do not fit into the gender roles imposed on them by their societies. Both characters gain self-awareness through the discovery of their uniqueness. Henrik Ibsen and Kate Chopin wrote realistically about the problems their female characters encountered in the patriarchal social structure and their conflicts with social codes. The lives and choices of Edna and Nora, who both have the duties of pleasing their spouses, meeting the needs of the house and taking care of their children within the encompassing structure of the institution of marriage, are similar to each other. In this article, the lives of Edna and Nora, who are the objects of the patriarchal structure in the triangular relationship of man - child - family, will be examined comparatively in terms of their contradictions with society, their journey to self-discovery, their alienation and choices.

The genesis of property rights can be traced to how the human species evolved into a civilized society, bringing with it a variety of cultures and ways of life that were rooted in religion. Emerging into rights to property for Hindu, Christian, Parsi, Muslim, and tribal women. The comparative thought-provokingideas about women from various religious sects is limited to the traditions and theological context in which they have lived for their overall achievement in shaping a civilized society. The key tenet is building the groundwork for their acknowledgment by granting them property right since that right center on their position and personal security, and that idea was developed through the creation of a law for property rights. The woman is the primary support for creating a family as an independent social unit. Since the beginning of time, women have played the primary role in raising a family. Of course, men have been an equally important limb and pillar, but without giving women the same legal rights to property as men, laws won't serve their intended purpose. We are legally required to treat everyone equal under our constitution, and this purpose can be served by including property rights. The preamble of the Indian Constitution is built on the dignity of every human being, including women, men, and children.

The focus of this research is a sociolinguistic examination of the impact of gender on language use. The primary goal of this research is to analyze the implications of men's and women's roles on their language usage. This research aims to highlight the variables that contribute to disparities in how gender impacts language use. This study's inquiry method is a questionnaire and audio-recoding. This study has shown differences in how men and women use language in our society and others like it. They use only some of the same forms; instead, they use different quantities or frequencies of the same form. In a society where gender plays a significant role, language is essential in contributing to that role. Gender roles, men's and women's identities, the hierarchical nature of gender relations, and men's dominance are all factors that contribute to differences in language use. Gender differentiation does not exist in a vacuum; it interacts with other types of social differentiation in a complex way. Language and gender, on the other hand, are formed through participation in everyday social activities. In conclusion, gender and language are inextricably linked.

The Hindu inheritance law allows for the possibility of inheritance for female children, though with a reduced share. Interpretations of religious norms are often disregarded in customary legal systems with the argument that Hinduism does not endorse double obligations. The customary inheritance law used by the Hindu community in Lombok, Indonesia, is based on Hindu inheritance laws interpreted according to local customs or village traditions. Different interpretations in each region regarding women's inheritance rights worsen the fulfillment of women's inheritance rights. Therefore, in line with the evolution of jurisprudence towards the fulfillment of women's inheritance rights, such as the shift from patrilineal to parental principles in Islamic inheritance, this study proposes the reexamination of the justice principle in Hindu inheritance law practiced by the Balinese indigenous people in Lombok. This reexamination should consider their unique characteristics and distinguish them from the Hindu community in Bali. As a basis for protecting women's rights in Hindu inheritance law, this becomes crucial for inclusion in a national legal framework.

Aim: The present study was conducted with the aim of explaining the delinquency of women in the workplace in the light of criminology teachings and criminal regulations. Research method: The current research method was library and descriptive-analytical. Findings: Committing crime and wrongdoing is not specific to a certain social stratum or gender. Men or women in different economic and social positions find opportunities for wrongdoing in different ways. Unbalanced increase in population and its unbalanced distribution, economic crises, increase in unemployment, mass migrations, marginalization in big cities, ethnic strife and increase in crime are among the issues that have attracted the attention of many experts on social issues. Conclusion: Women's delinquency is a very complex social phenomenon that is seen in different ways in different social environments. The definition of delinquent and delinquent behavior in any society is determined by the legal laws and social norms of that society. Although in most societies, delinquency is defined as a behavior that can be punished by the law, but the legal concept is not enough to explain it. Women's delinquency, in the sense of a variable number of acts committed against legal provisions, which can have different natures, is a common aspect of all human societies. Regardless of the nature of the dispute, these actions are almost always defined and predicted by law. One of the areas of women's delinquency is the work environment, and due to its consequences, there is a need to take measures to prevent actions that can be prevented from committing crimes in the field of women's employment by taking advantage of situational and social prevention.

Abstract Can a woman engineer by a feminist? This article argues in the affirmative using a case study of Elsie Gregory MacGill. Elsie Gregory MacGill was Canada's first woman electrical engineer, graduating in 1927 from The University of Toronto. She then became the first woman to earn a degree in aeronautical engineering from the University of Michigan in 1929. While establishing herself in a predominantly masculine profession, MacGill, also a third generation feminist, actively worked for women's equal rights and opportunities in Canadian society. A case study of her role in the Royal Commission of the Status of Women (RCSW), 1967-1970, is used to illustrate that not only can a woman engineering be a feminist, but more importantly that her dual background allowed her to effectively bridge the worlds of the engineering and feminism in engineering the RCSW.

This paper aims to clarify the various representations of women that Indian-English women authors have offered. When it comes to women in Indian culture and tradition, independence, the pursuit of character, fighting, and the spirit of resistance have all remained foreign concepts. With the introduction of women's rights, however, Indian women's essayists have innately understood the worries and presented women as someone who battles against the cover-up and abuse of a man-centered society. Their paintings show how the advanced-age Indian woman is caught between tradition and innovation as she deepens her life and identity in her own unique manner.

Purpose: The economic significance of women's entrepreneurship is globally recognized; yet, the pace of women's entrepreneurial activities is slow. The lowering share of women's participation in the entrepreneurial population has been attributed to many reasons but for health. Women entrepreneurs’ health and well-being are important, yet widely neglected notions in research and practice. Especially, in Pakistani patriarchal society women are expected to work (self-employed or organizationally employed) with disproportionate family and work responsibilities. Design/Methodology/Approach: The study provides a conceptual review of key challenges faced by women entrepreneurs. To serve this purpose, relevant literature was selected and reviewed following a four-step procedure. Findings: In fulfilling their traditional roles of house-maker and the need to support family, the mental and physical health of women entrepreneurs is compromised. Findings of this study reveal that role expectation, stress overload, work-life conflict, fear of harassment, and workaholism are among the key factors that challenge the well-being of women entrepreneurs. However, family support, societal approval of their business, and work engagement may serve as an opportunity to improve women entrepreneurs’ well-being. Implications/Originality/Value: The study sheds light on key challenges faced by women entrepreneurs in a developing country context and suggests avenues for further research.

Chinese traditional costume is one of the important carriers of Chinese culture. The process of the emergence and development of the culture of traditional Chinese costume also reflects the cultural background and evolution of ancient Chinese society. In the context of the strengthening of the Chinese economy, the inheritance and development of Chinese clothing culture is of great importance for modern society. The epochs of Wei, Jin, Southern and Northern dynasties are a period of Chinese history marked by frequent wars, ethnic integration and convergence of various ideas. Against this background, there was a weakening of the Confucian "ritual" style, followed by the spread of the teachings of Xuan Xue, Buddhism and Taoism, and a freer, down-to-earth, elegant clothing culture appeared. This article consists of the following three parts: Diversity of social background; Artistic forms of costume culture of the Wei-Jin eras; Modern trends in the development of clothing culture. Based, among other things, on such material as the scroll painting "The Fairy of the Lo River" by the artist Gu Kaizhi of the Eastern Jin Dynasty, this article analyzes the influence of the teachings of Xuan-xue, Buddhism and Taoism on the costume of the Wei and Jin dynasties, illustrates the direction of development of modern Chinese costume culture, and continued the path for the development of clothing culture with Chinese specifics.

The Panchayatiraj Institutions (PRIs) are the instrument through which women's empowerment can be ensured. The PRIs are the grassroots administrative mechanism intended for the development of rural areas and their people. The people include both men and women. But whatever the arrangement prevalent in India creates more opportunities for women counterparts living in rural areas. Since the last 75 years of independence, the legislative obligations have initiated different women-friendly processes which assured the enhancement of women's empowerment. Different women-related schemes as well as laws were framed and passed to endorse women's empowerment. Further, women's empowerment is relatively interconnected with the development of the nation. Being an agrarian country, India needs help from almost half of its population to increase agro-based products. It is assumed that if women are empowered then the GDP will increase more. In regards to participation in socio-economic and political fields, it is expected that women will more vibrantly participate in the process and a modern society will be established. Considering all the above elements in mind, the researcher endeavours to analyze the PRIs which will provide opportunities to enhance the empowerment of women. The critical observations, pros and cons, limitations of PRIs, and prospects are the primary concerns of this paper. There are different research studies, journal articles, and books that deal with this subject but nobody has analyzed from liberation of women from a poverty and suppression point of view. It will provoke the upcoming researcher to justify the arguments empirically in different states and places of India.

This study aims to understand the structure, content, and aspects of sexuality based on patriarchal ideology in Lontar Usada Rukmini Tatwa, considered as a cultural text. Thus, to pursue the aim of this study, critical discourse analysis was applied to analyze the text since this analysis technique could deconstruct, interpret, and read cultural texts. The lontar's contents then were analyzed through the following steps, namely conceptualization, conceptualization results, proof, and objectivation. The results of the analysis showed that the structure of the lontar consists of the opening, introduction, content, and the space and time of writing. The results also revealed that the lontar contains recipes for women's beauty and health, husband's courage, sperm health maintenance, and ways to have children for married couples. The contents of the lontars are legitimized religiously and magically so that people believe more in their efficacy. And, it is also found that the contents of this lontar are dominated by erotic and reproductive sexuality discourses based on patriarchal ideology associated with Hinduism. This is symbolized through the phallus as a medium to control women. In conclusion, Lontar Usada Rukmini Tatwa can not only be referred to as an erotic and reproductive sexuality cultural text, but also an ideological cultural text based on Hinduism.

The study was designed to do a comparative study of Ahmad Ali's novel Twilight in Delhi and E.M. Forster’s A Passage to India. The study is a comparative textual analysis in the light of Feminism. The focus was on finding similarities and differences between Ali and Forster. In both novels, women's exploitation is the main issue. Women are shown as voiceless and inhuman creatures. They are used as an object having no feeling or emotion. They are presented as the tool of sex for the men of society. They are portrayed as having no role in the social and political affairs of the family. The investigation has shown that both Ali and Forster have presented women as inferior to men but Ali is harsher as compared to Forster. Ali pictured only Muslim women while Forster portrayed Muslims, Hindus as well as British women. Which was the main focus of the study. The Comparative Feminist analysis was taken to give a new dimension to the study and carried out women's issues in society.

Critical Discourse Analysis is an approach to studying a text to increase the reader's awareness of the meaning behind and the real purpose of the text. Previous studies analyzed texts with a general CDA approach, while this research focuses on a specific topic, namely women and racism. Using Norman Fairclough's three-dimensional critical discourse analysis theory and Van Dijk's sociocognitive approach, this study aims to analyze the types and uses of women's issues and racism, as well as the personal and impersonal motivations behind Kamala Harris' speeches. A total of three speeches and their scripts were selected and categorized based on the indicators of women's issues and racism. This study revealed five types and use of racism issues for women of colour that Kamala Harris raised in her speeches, namely women of colour in the economy, education, civil and society, justice, and health care. Her motivation was a call to take action against women of colour's injustice.

Background. In the XX-XXI centuries politics is becoming an increasingly professional field of activity, to which more and more women are joining. Insufficient representation of the latter in state bodies gives grounds for doubts about the democracy of the state system, which determined the relevance of the study. Analysis of recent research and publications. Various aspects of the position of woman in Ukrainian politics have been studied by T. Martseniuk, Ya. Radysh, V. Smachylo, and G. Yurovska, but today we are required to carry out a comprehensive legal analysis of the formation of a gender equality society in Ukraine. The aim of the article is to study national legislation on the issue of gender equality in the political sphere, taking into account international standards; analysis of mechanisms for increasing the number of women in politics based on the generalization of the experience of developed democracies. Materials and methods, that were used - dialectical, comparative analysis, systemic, formal and legal scientific methods and principles. Results. An important aspect of the struggle of women for their political rights was that the latest constitutions of the states enshrined the principle of equality of citizens, including in the electoral process, regardless of gender, race and political views. Analysis of the political experience of social democracies has shown that the participation of women deputies in the work of parliaments and other representative institutions is extremely important and effective for society as a whole, because they focus on health care, upbringing, education, social protection of population, etc. In Ukraine, equality between woman and man has been established de jure, but gender stereotypes regarding the distribution of roles continue to dominate society and consciousness. The most successful international practices include the creation of a parliament on the basis of gender equality through the application of: positive actions for the implementation of gender quotas; creation of state institutions to monitor the observance of equal rights for women and men; implementation of gender expertise of bills. Conclusion. Our study has improved the thesis that in Ukraine there is an objective need to change the patriarchal type of political culture. In this regard, we have proposed measures that can increase the status of Ukrainian woman in politics: to further monitor national legislation; introduce national mechanisms to ensure the representation of women in government; create the necessary economic conditions for the implementation of women's political activity. Keywords: gender equality, democracy, parliamentarism, women’s political rights.

This paper is hinged on the premise that the post-colonial Kenya is replete with patriarchal tendencies, these tendencies permeate all spheres of its political and economic structures, thus leading to gender inequality. Contextualizing patriarchy within the socio-economic and political structure of the post-colonial Kenya, this paper seeks to highlight the challenges to women’s women's participation in Kenya's public sphere as depicted in Macgoye's novels. Informed by feminist theory, the paper seeks to demonstrate the various ways women seek to claim their agency as active participants in the society despite the challenges. The paper concludes that female characters in Coming to Birth and The Present Moment rise above the limitations brought about by the post-colonial patriarchal constructs

The purpose of this writing is to understand 3 things: first, the concrete form of the feminist approach. Second, the factors that influence the existence of a feminist approach in Islamic studies. Third, the implications of academic feminist approaches to the dynamics of Islamic studies. The author uses the literature method by using a feminist approach in studying Islam. The results of this study show that first, feminist etymology comes from the word femme (single woman) who fought to fight for the rights of women as a social class. In terminology a women's movement that demands full equality. Second, internal factors include low knowledge and understanding of the community about religious values related to the role and function of women, the reality of Muslim society that still experiences gender bias, as well as the essence of women's bodies.external factors include the number of religious interpreters who harm the position and role of women as well as patriarchal culture that has long dominated in society (political, economic, and biased interpretation of religious texts gender). Third, positive impact: The existence of the term career woman makes women become more independent women, women are not oppressed by the capitalist system, and are productive in doing things outside the domstic. Negative impact: Negative impact (the birth of various lesbian feminism movements or the practice of free sex between women and women), and There are several ideologies of the feminism movement that are not in accordance with Islamic corridors

One of the factors that support the progress of a nation is the participation of women in community development. Educated women are crucial aspects in improving the quality of human resources. The government together with the community, have responsibilities and play an essential role in facilitating educational activities for women. Community Learning Activity Center (PKBM), as an institution established and managed by the society to increase knowledge, skills, expertise and talents, is responsible for preparing community members to be more independent in meeting their needs, especially in the program for marginalized women empowerment. Among the programs, Women's Life Skills Education Program (PKHP) presents as an alternative solution to provide facilities for women to grow. Many researchers documented the activities in this program and published them in Community Service journals or scientific journals. Therefore, the current study would shed light on the efforts they made by implementing a literature study. By analysing using narrative synthesis studies, the findings reported on diverse activities that were created to develop women’s life skills by utilizing the local natural resource potential as well as the methods of delivery and prospected outcomes. Marriage is one of the oldest social institutions in human society. During this occasion, some marriage payments are made in the form of bride price, dower, and dowry. In the Lotha community, a marriage payment, "Hanlam" is practiced. Hanlam is different from any of the marriage payments mentioned above. Thus the study's main objective is to find out the relevance of the Hanlam practiced among the Lotha community and its impact on women's rights. The paper is descriptive, where the respondents were selected based on purposive sampling. Altogether 50 couples from Wokha town were interviewed. The study found that Hanlam still holds relevance among the Lotha couples as it indirectly benefits the newly married couple not only in terms of monetary help but through hanlam the couples are recognised and accepted by their kin, especially the groom is regarded as one of the kin members by the brides' paternal kins. Furthermore, it is the only traditional practice left in Lotha marriage ceremony. Finally, the continuation of the practice of Hanlam has not led to the curtailment of women's rights.

Finally, what can we apply from Women's Studies to close this gender gap in patenting? The abstract is the humble attempt to present the role of women and their plight with respect to the modern novels in general but in the novels of Virginia Woolf and Anita Desai in particular. As we know that Feminism is a rapidly developing ideology and a women's liberation movement that aims to liberate women from their oppression by a male-dominated society for a long time. In its true sense, feminism is a call for greater recognition of women's accomplishments and rights. Feminist literature in English, such as Pride and Prejudice, is certainly not a recent awareness of women's rights. Although it certainly has come into its own in recent times. The assessment and examination of the depiction of women characters without help from anyone else or in relationship with their male partners, and the enthusiasm for female creators. The fact that these are now widely accepted critical practice from a feminist perspective is noteworthy. Both the writers Virginia Woolf and Anita Desai have tried to portray their characters in the way that discusses about the freedom struggle's legacy of gender equality, women's constitutional rights, the emphasis on women's education, and the new awareness among women brought about by electronic media are among the indigenous contributing factors. The Indian woman caught between tradition and modernity, burdened by the past and the present to abandon her aspirations, is the core of aspirations, and feminism in Indian literature is centered on her. In literary terms, it begins a search for one's identity and the self-definition of a woman.

One of the fundamental institutions that exist in one form or another in every society on the planet is education. The present research focuses on how education supports women's political empowerment in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's newly merged districts. The study's main goal was to determine how education contributes to the political empowerment of female teachers in the targeted community. In a similar vein, the study's goal was to ascertain how teachers in the research area support women's political empowerment. The research was quantitative in nature, and 225 sample size (female teachers) were chosen from the three districts of Bajawar, Kurram, and Mohmmand using the Sekran sample size determination table. The data were collected through structured questionnaires from (Primary, Middle, and High) school teachers, which were then analyzed using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) software. The analyzed data were then presented in the form of tables and frequencies. The researched data demonstrates that in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's newly merged districts, education may promote women's political empowerment in the true sense. It is advised that training, seminars, and awareness-raising events on the value of education and how it gives women political power be required for both the general public and female teachers.

Nevertheless, the authors found the imprisonment of double burden in the lives of 3 research subjects. The purpose of this study is to show the extent to which the narrative leads them to live the values of equality through informal work. The research method used is qualitative research with interviews., then the authors recorded, transcribed, made a factual solid and then classified into themes that are close to this research. The results of the research through the experiences of women informal workers in Pasar Besar show that women are found to be empowered over assets, time and in decision-making. On the other hand, both empowerment and imprisonment of women's double burden make John Stuart Mill's philosophical lens dialogue in it when talking about marriage as friendship and not as property or slavery. Mill's intersubjective space becomes a buffer in the narrative of women's experiences of informal workers. In addition, the authors finds that gossiping as a negative stigma by society becomes erroneous when confronted with the daily life practices of women informal workers. Gossip/ngerumpi is able to make women's space a place of self-development, self-protection and self-promotion when women are hit by a flood of fatigue, boredom in terms of waiting for the arrival of buyers.

The goals of fairness, outcomes, and security cannot be attained without the active engagement of women and the adoption of women's viewpoints at all phases of decision-making." The Women's Reservations Bill is a critical piece of government legislation having the potential to alter the foundation of Indian democracy. It has always sparked intense arguments both inside and outside of Parliament. Its supporters argue that the Bill is vital for woman's active engagement with politics. Opponents believe that reserve would mainly benefit women from aristocratic groups, exacerbating the suffering of those with limited resources and underprivileged. The Women's Reservation law, also known as the Constitutional Amendments (108th Amendment) Bill, is an ongoing law in India that intends to reserve 33% of all seats in the Lok Sabha, India's Lower House of Parliament, and the state legislatures for women. This essay investigates gender inequalities in legislative decision-making in the context of the gender quotas. I utilize two empirical methodologies to randomize parliamentarians' gender and sentiments analysis to discover legislative issues in the French Assembly from 2001 to 2017. It might even go one step further and investigate the current state of support for policies on each issue, for example, by using analysing sentiment methods or embedding models to calculate the distance across a piece of text and the material of interest.

This paper explores the potential impact of paternal absence on women during their childhood by examining literature and contemporary theories. Paternal absence refers to children lacking paternal love and care due to factors such as illegitimate birth, divorce, or death. In today's society, diverse marriage concepts have led to an increase in single-parent families, resulting in a growing prevalence of paternal absence. This paper comprehensively examines the influence of paternal absence on female self-esteem using theoretical frameworks from psychoanalysis, social learning, social comparison, cognitive development, and attachment. Additionally, it highlights the significance of fathers' presence during childhood in establishing women's sense of competence through Bandura's concept of self-efficacy. The results of the study revealed that the absence of a father figure may exert detrimental effects on women's self-perception, interpersonal bonding, and development of emotional and creative competence.

The COVID-19 pandemic is thought to have changed the way people communicate in society. It has ushered in a new way of living that is fully conducted online. It urges this study to concentrate on examining online communications, particularly men's and women's online casual conversations. The qualitative approach was employed to accomplish this. Three basic processes were carried out in greater depth. The first step was to tape the dialogue, which was transcribed using the theory of Eggins & Slade (1997). To strengthen the data, an unstructured interview was conducted (Mackey & Gass, 2005). Finally, to expose the phenomenon of overlap, the data were evaluated using theories proposed by numerous experts, such as Schegloff (2000), Cogo & Dewey (2012), Yule (1996), and many more. The results were afterward developed into rich verbal descriptions. Analysis shows that men's and women's online casual conversations have different patterns of overlap. This can happen because of the influence of what they have received throughout their lives about how to be a man and a woman. The gender values they get from their environment greatly affect how they communicate and interact with others.

The article is devoted to Baroness Yu.P. Vrevskaya, who, despite her status and position in society, became a sister of mercy. Russian and European authors dedicated their best works to her. Yu.P. Vrevskaya became a symbol of sacrificial love. The origins of her feat, which are rooted in her "military" childhood and upbringing, are considered; reading the works of Russian classics, in particular, I.S. Turgenev, determined her character, and early widowhood formed a special path – the path of service to one's neighbor. Reflections on the fate of Yu.P. Vrevskaya became the subject of creative discoveries in the artistic world of I.S. Turgenev, served to develop the theme of women's service and women's feat. Special attention is paid to the literary interests of Yu.P. Vrevskaya, her reading of the works of A.S. Pushkin, F.M. Dostoevsky, J. Sand, Cervantes, V. Hugo, Dickens, etc. In the books, Yu.P. Vrevskaya is looking for the meaning of life and role models. The personality and fate of Yu.P. Vrevskaya are considered in the context of historical events – the Caucasian War, the Russian-Turkish War, as well as in the context of social movements – the history of the Red Cross.

Managing and understanding the environment and its issues is not limited to one environmental discourse but to numerous discourses. It is created through histories which result in contradictions as narratives may oppose each other. This opposition is considered an important aspect of discourse. This article explores how biodiversity and sustainable development were discursively constructed by indigenous women living in an agricultural society with distinct cultural practices closely linked to rice farming and examined the outcomes arising from their construction of biodiversity and sustainable development. Seven women farmers were interviewed and conversations were transcribed, coded and analyzed through discourse analysis using Maarten Hajer's conceptual tool. Five major discourses emerged from this study: conserving biodiversity through the notion of contrasting views on farming responsibilities, conserving biodiversity through a sense of community, sustainability of government initiatives, negotiating cultural heritage and economic benefits, and articulating sustainable development.

This thesis studies the modern enlightenment consciousness that appeared in the Chinese poem of Sofa Oh Hyo-won, a female poet who lived in Japanese colonial era. He is a female poet who was born as a woman at the end of the Joseon Dynasty and lived a strange life with a strange fate, leaving 474 poems. Most of his poems express Japanese colonial era's feminine daily life with affection, so if you look at the trajectory of life along his poems, Japanese colonial era is vividly depicted and revealed. His poems reveal an enlightenment consciousness and advanced worldview to emphasize the need for modern women's education and establish a women's school by enlightening the Confucian feudal society of the Southern Journey to Korea. In particular, he looked back at Japanese colonial era Japan and was able to see the perception of women's education and modern civilization in poems. In addition, he moved to China, looked at the process of modernization of China, and returned after recognizing the East Asian modern era during the transition period through exchanges with Chinese celebrities. His poems written at this time have a small amount of poetry, but some poems reveal the characteristics of resistance literature, which implies nationalist literary tendencies and patriotic fighting spirit during the Japanese colonial period. The consciousness of modern enlightenment that appears in his poems contains the awakening of the ego toward our people. The theme consciousness of his poems reveals anti-feudal, ethnic, and popular movement tendencies, and contains a spirit of desperate patriotic enlightenment aimed at excitement and education. It was only at this time that I could see the buds of true national literature and realism literature. Oh Hyo-won's Chinese poem is the Unique style of Joseon Women's History.

The role of schools is an important factor in shaping human civilization. The phenomenon of the high number of high school marriages in Wonosobo with all the social changes that surround it, until 2019 marriages under the age of 19 (nineteen) years there were 430 cases including marriage dispensation. The Merried By Accident (MBA) case dominates all of these cases. The focus of this research is the analysis of the role of school in child marriage and women's reproductive rights, two things that influence each other and whether women's reproductive health rights include the right to abortion and to refuse pregnancy which often occurs in society. This study uses qualitative research by conducting in-depth interviews and discussion group forums which are analyzed and described using a symbolic interactionism approach. The results of the study found that there was a shift in the meaning of marriage for high school children, the high number of cases of child marriage was dominated by changes in social behavior and adolescent relationships, so that pregnancy before marriage led to dropping out of school. Women's reproductive health rights are especially not ready to give birth, take care of children so that the life cycle after giving birth to children does not get serious attention, and it is not uncommon for domestic violence (KDRT) to be a way out to solve problems that cause divorce at a young age. The role of schools has not shown significant results because there is almost no curriculum in schools that requires provisions about marriage. The ideal school role is in the form of providing early marriage education and reproductive health, having an effective school fee subsidy, providing regular health services, and motivating students in the spirit of learning at school.

Efforts to encourage women's participation in politics and promote gender equality persist, yet practical challenges remain, especially in regions where deeply entrenched patriarchal cultures prevail. This is evident in the limited quantity and depth of women's representation in politics and leadership, particularly at the grassroots level. In Madura, a stronghold of patriarchal traditions, men dominate the institutional fabric of society, including political and leadership structures. However, recent shifts in village leadership have seen the emergence of female leaders, challenging this historical norm. The objective of this article is to examine the representation of klebun women as independent leaders, breaking free from patriarchal dynastic systems. Many female klebuns in Madura have familial connections to previous klebun leaders, and the klebun position has often been a breeding ground for political dynasties. Employing representation indicators, Max Weber's leadership model, and a qualitative approach, we will delve deeply into the issue. The study's findings will illuminate different models of women's representation in village leadership: first, the capability of Klebun women to provide effective leadership in their communities, and second, the endeavors undertaken by Klebun Perempuan to establish independent women leaders. In summary, this research sheds light on the evolving role of women in Madura's political and leadership landscape, challenging the deeply entrenched patriarchal culture and dynastic structures. Keywords : representation, leadership, klebun perempuan
