Texto completo da fonteThe use of graphic design in music has existed throughout history with different characteristics in each musical period. However, during the 20th century, new technologies brought a new perspective about using graphic design in music. UPIC system (created by composer Iannis Xenakis in 1978) represents an important evolution on electroacoustic music works due to that it’s easy to use and it creates an important link between music and visual aspects at the same time. UPIC system was very limited about synthesis, representation of the musical structure and the graphic design of the works. Nevertheless, Mexican composer and researcher Julio Estrada founds some solutions to design the different graphical aspects of the sound through his chronographic method. In fact, the graphical music representation shows important cognitive aspects about our perception of music. Thus, the use of the graph for analysis and composition can be perceived and designed differently for each individual. At the same time, graphs can be used to highlight musical structures or elements in a musical work

Texto completo da fonteObjects of the research: The Jura river watershed (rivers: Akmena near Paakmenis, Jūra near Taurage, Šešuvis near Skirgaliai). Aim of the research: The influence of wetland drainage area on the Jura river watershed runoff. Objectives of the research: 1. To determine the influence of precipitation on the flow rate of rivulets belonging to the Jura river watershed. 2. To analyse the changes in the drained areas of the Jura subbasin. 3. To evaluate the change of dynamics in land drainage. 4. To evaluate changes in the Jura basin runoff in drained areas. Methods of the research: The following data (of 1951-2009) were used: 24 hours flow rate, annual amount of precipitation, average day and night temperature, areas of drained land. A graph of correlation between precipitation and flow rate, which shows a direct relation, was drawn. The graphs of flow rate koefficient variation were created. The findings of the research: 1. The average annual river flow rates and annual precipitation rates of the rivers: Akmena (at Paakmenys), Jura (at Taurage) and Šešuvis (at Skirgaliai) are closely related. 2. The highest rate of drainage intensity in 1995, the river Akmena 1.6. The minimum rate is the Jura drainage basin, near Taurangė - 1.2. Šešuvis basin the figure 1.27. 3. By the year 2000, 70 per cent of land were drained in the Akmena river basin, similarly, (72 per cent) in the Jura river basin. Most land (84 per cent) was drained in the Šešuvis river basin. 4. O tema abordado, SISTEMA DE UNIDADES PADRÃO ESCOLAR - UPEC, possui como objetivo a criação de unidades prediais escolares, projetadas para apoiar o ensino público primário e secundário. A principal característica onde se apoia todo o sistema, é sua flexibilidade. As unidades escolares são viabilizadas e construídas, a partir de um estudo de dimensionamento e classificação em função da demanda local, à época de sua implantação. Daí serem superadas em capacidade, em alguns casos, em curto espaço de tempo. O Sistema proposto permite o crescimento das edificações, habilitando-as para a ampliação do número de usuários existente. A transformação das edificações através da ampliação de suas instalações físicas faz-se de forma natural, sem prejuízo do aspecto formal e sem interromper as atividades escolares durante o período letivo, uma vez que não interfere de forma direta nos espaços existentes. Concebido no sistema estrutural metálico, dado à sua afinidade com os objetivos de nossa proposta, contempla principalmente os seguintes itens: • Flexibilidade • Baixo custo de implantação • Rapidez na execução da obra • Facilidade de transporte • Desmonte e locomoção com reaproveitamento • Possibilidade de industrialização. • Adaptabilidade ao terreno As unidades escolares, denominadas UPECs, classificam-se segundo o número de salas de aula, que pode variar de 4 a 16. Os crescimentos foram previstos caso a caso de acordo com a categoria de cada edificação. A viabilidade do sistema construtivo metálico foi analisada pela USIMINAS, que se posicionou de forma favorável ao projeto apresentado. ______________________________________________________________________________________________
ABSTRACT: This work aims at the designing of schools, proposed to the primary and secondary degree, sponsored by the government. The main characteristic of this system is its flexibility. The schools are designed and built according to previous researchs concerning its dimensions and classification according to its local conditions at time of implantation.In this case, they are likely to become surpassed in short time. The system allows the expansion of the building according to its new requirements, fulfilling the needs of the different categories concerning the number of classrooms, and is conceived in steel structures, so that the exchange of categories is achieved in a natural way, keeping the formal aspects and without interference in the school activities.The following itens are considered: • Flexibility • Low costs of implantation • Fast erection of building • Easy transportation • Easy dismounting and new use • Industrialization possibilities • Adaptability to the site The school units are classified according the number of classrooms with can vary from 4 (four) to 16 (sixteen). The expansions where studieds according to each categorie of building. The feasibility of the constructive system was analized and aproved by USIMINAS.

Texto completo da fonteThe PhD thesis deals with the characteristics of biogenic substance migration in the Lithuanian riverbank sediments and its impact on the river water quality. Six catchments of rivers with different dominant sediments, located in different hydro-logic areas of Lithuania, were selected as the object of the research. Such object selection allows to apply the results of the work to any catchment of a Lithuanian river. The aim of the thesis is to establish the characteristics of the migration of biogenic substances in sediments, ground and surface waters, taking into considera-tion climatic and geomorphological conditions of the river catchment, in order to evaluate the change in the concentration of biogenic substances in riverbank aeration zone of different sediments as well as its impact on the quality of the river water. Analytical, field investigations and experimental studies as well as mathematical modelling were applied in the work to evaluate the patterns of the change of concentration of biogenic substances in river catchments and riverbank areas. The thesis consists of an introduction, free chapters, general conclusions and lists of references as well as the author’s publications on the topic of the PhD thesis.
