This paper explores the tourism trends emerging in post COVID- world. This pandemic was conscientious for an abrupt transformation in the way world travelled. This impulsive impediment in the tourism and hospitality industry was not only unconstructive to the growth of the industry but the imminent influences on future tourism are also looking dim and muted. Virtual Reality has emerged as a new innovative approach to attract viewers though providing them a virtual experience of tourism a tour destination with enhanced technological version. Virtual reality is the new normal in the digital world. People are slowly gaining access to digital tourism experiences through Virtual Reality tourism concept. The increase in virtual reality tourism trend is most welcome thing globally. This trend capitalizes on the use of technology to make viewers experience a touring destination. It includes Virtual Reality tours through which a tourist or viewer can experience a tourist destination, hotel interiors, restaurant interiors, outdoor tourist attractions, shopping sites, archaeological inputs, museums, etc sitting in home. This viewer is made to experience complete visit of the destination through VR head gears and comply with his aspirations of touring. Without being physically present on the tourist site a viewer can become a tourist and see all sites as naturally as a tourister. But this usage of technology driven virtual reality tools are challenged by several factors.

Abstract - Indonesia has a variety of urban tourism village scattered in various regions. The tourism village has various themes according to the character of the are and the residents of the village. Such as Batik Village, Ceramic Village, Rainbow Village, etc. The presence of the concept of an urban tourism village doesn not only occur in Indonesia, but also occurs in various other countries such as Gamcheon Culture Village in Korea, Chefchaouen in Marocco, Marsaxlokk Village in Malta, etc. With the presence of the concept of tourism village, it provides novelty for both humans (tourist and villagers) as the users of space accompanied by their activities. Based on these problems the authors are interested in conducting this research. This research will discuss about what is meant by a tourist village, how tourism activities occur in the two study objects and how architecture as a physical element plays a role in the activities in it. The purpose of this study is to describe how far a village called a tourist village is feasible as a tourist place by introducing the tourism criteria, what are the criteria for a village to be called a tourist village. This research is a descriptive qualitative research, using Kampung Lawas Maspati and Kampung Pelangi Kenjeran as objects of study to be compared based on the tourism criteria itself, to further examine how the physical (architectural) element settings play a role in accommodating tourism activities in the village itself. So that how far the two objects of study meet the existing tourist criteria so that they are feasible as tourist attractions. With this research, it is hoped that it can provide an understanding of what is meant by a tourist village and the importance of the role of architecture in realizing the tourism village it deserves. The results of the research show that the physical elements in Kampung Lawas Maspati meet the three criteria that a tourism village needs to have and there are tourism activities organized by local village managers, while Kampung Pelangi Kenjeran has not fulfilled existing tourism criteria, the availability of physical elements in Kampung Pelangi Kenjeran is very minimal. This proves that the term "tourism" in Pelangi Kenjeran village is still not appropriate as it should be. Key Words: setting, physical elements, activity, urban tourim village

Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, tourism had permeated all spaces of experience, reaching nearly every country, region, community, and corner of the globe. In recent decades, the meanings, implications, and roles of tourism have also expanded significantly. This article focuses on unconventional tourism mobilities, including same-day visits, which are an important but often neglected part of the tourism system, constantly challenging both scholars and tourism industry stakeholders. Unconventional tourism is an umbrella term that covers most kinds of unregistered or unaccounted tourist mobilities, some of which might not appear to be ‘tourism’ but should be in certain localities and under certain conditions. Given the growth of unregistered tourist flows and unaccounted leisure (or utilitarian) mobilities, there is a need in tourism studies to apply innovative research methods and to reconceptualize the meanings of tourism in different geographical and social contexts. It is expected that people’s desire to travel in the post-pandemic era will educe new spatial and temporal travel experiences and behaviours in which unconventional tourisms will play an important role. To better understand this phenomenon and to evaluate the development of new approaches to travel and behavioural spatialities, new ways of thinking, new theoretical constructs, and new methodologies are needed. This article seeks to explore certain hidden or invisible tourism mobilities, focusing on the geographical patterns, processes, and hidden aspects of unconventional tourism.

The main aim of this paper is to analyze the Russian outbound tourism flow: problems of Russian tourist market, causes and consequences of repeated crisises. According to key findings, Russian tourist market is influenced by several factors. Developed equation of multiple variable regression model indicates that the main factors are wage of Russian’s converted in Euro and gross domestic product per capita. Regression model has great quality parameters and may be used to predict future condition of Russian outbound tourism. Russian Government makes all efforts to reorient own population to domestic tourism cutting off access to the rich world heritage. The decline in real incomes, the lack of regulation of tourist activities, the shortcomings of legislation, the lack of responsibility to customers are led to the decreasing of Russian outbound and domestic tourisms.

Kata kunci: Kampung Biru Arema (KBA), Community Based Tourism (CBT), rute wisata, peta wisata.AbstractKampung Biru Arema (KBA) is one of the tourism villages in Malang. The village does not have a good tourism village concept so that it only relies on the aesthetic aspects of the murals and blue-painted houses without developing a clear direction of tourist route. Therefore, tourist route mapping which is based on tourism potentials in KBA is needed so that tourism development can be directed and sustainable. To do this we employ the premise of Community Based Tourism (CBT) by ensuring the active involvement of local people in the process of tourism development and management. The activities resulted in a tourist route on the basis of 5 (five) tourism areas, namely Historical Tourisn Area,. “Dolanan” Tourism Area, Disaster Mitigation Tourism Area, Arema Tourism Area, and “Basa Walikan” Tourism Area. In the process of determining the route, it involves the active participation of local people in providing input and decisions related to our identification and mapping of the location. With the development of tourism, people's demand and concern for tourist transportation are increasing. Integrating expressway resources into the tourism transportation network is the current trend and direction of expressway network planning. With the rapid development of the Internet, people can easily get the information resources they want, but at the same time, the problem of information overload also arises. The depth of highway access is insufficient, there is a lack of systematic consideration of tourist resources in the area, a systematic tourism network has not been developed, and tourism resources are inaccessible. These issues have stifled regional tourism's fast growth, necessitating research into the convergence of tourist resource development and highway network optimization. The building of highway layouts and the growth of the tourist sector have reached a point where they interact and impact one another, and the degree of this contact has progressively risen. However, there is still a significant disparity in the degree of cooperation across areas. This paper considers the collaborative optimization of tourism resource development and highway network optimization, analyzes its impact on traffic volume distribution, introduces the two-level programming model of collaborative optimization, and determines that the goal of the upper model is to maximize social net income. It also considers the collaborative optimization of tourism resource development and highway network optimization on the basis of clarifying the game relationship between planning decision-makers and traffic travel and considers the collaborative optimization of tourism resource development and highway network optimization on the basis of in-depth learning. For the total investment of tourism construction projects, the time cost saved by highway network optimization, and the total tourism revenue, the lower-level model aims to minimize the travel time of a single user. This paper shows that the layout planning of the regional tourism highway network from the perspective of tourism resources can improve the accessibility of regional high-quality tourism resources and meet the requirements of the coordinated development of highway tourism and resources.

Deli Serdang Regency with its capital Lubuk Pakam consists of 22 sub-districts, 14 sub-districts and 380 villages. Law no. 6 of 2014 states that the Villages are very important because they aim to realize community welfare services through improvement, empowerment, and participation of rural communities, as well as increasing regional competitiveness by taking into account the principles of democracy, equity, justice, privilege and specificity of a village regions in the system of the Republic of Indonesia. Tourism Villages will be a way to develop villages and realize community welfare. Denai Lama Tourism Village is one of the tourism villages that has the potential to be developed into a tourist attraction in Deli Serdang Regency. Of the 6 (six) elements needed by Denai Lama Village in the strategy of developing a tourist village, they are quite capable, but there are some things that are still missing and require a mentoring process. Homestay development is still not developed. Homestay is important to be developed so that visiting tourists can stay in the village of Denai Lama so that there will be an increase in the length of stay of tourists in the tourist village of Denai Lama which is an increase in tourist spending (spending power) in the tourist village. The existence of public toilets, facilities and infrastructure, sufficient parking space, markings and directions as well as the CHSE health protocol (Cleanliness, Hygiene, Sanitation, and Environment) are important to note. Cooperatives should be formed by involving the community in order to further develop the village. Another thing that has not been optimally implemented but is no less important to develop Denai Lama Tourism Village, one of the tourist attractions is Branding, Advertising (Ads) and Selling (Sales Mission). Denai Lama Village has branded its village as a Tourism Village with Educational Tourism, but does not yet have a slogan/tagline that tourists can remember. It is necessary to make a slogan/tagline that is in accordance with the characteristics and concepts of the village that you want to form as a characteristic of the tourist village. In terms of advertising the tourist village of Denai Lama must aggressively promote both using print and online media to attract tourists to visit the tourism village. This tourism village promotion can be done using social media such as Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and if necessary promotions create a village website. And for sales , the tourist village of Denai Lama can take part in events such as tourist exhibitions, bazaars, exhibitions with attractions and tourism products in touristm villages. The last decades of the XX century, which the United Nations declared the decade of cultural tourism in the world, have contributed to encouraging people to think about the question of how tourism can contribute to the development of heritage and culture, or how tourism the same may compromise. However, the cultural offer today, is an essential and important part of a modern tourist offer, without which it can no longer be imagined, as cultural tourism is becoming an increasingly important segment of the global tourism market. It had a great share in the expansion of a tourist demand and tourist offer and their profiling, leading to a whole series of specific forms of tourism in its embrace, and today more attention is paid to the industrial heritage, cultural routes, cultural landscapes and similar, as current forms of cultural tourism in the modern tourism market. In fact, theorists of tourism are now faced with a number of new types of tourist movements which have resulted in the creation of various forms of cultural tourism that were not even discussed in the last century, and the fact is that a change in tourist demand brings new habits and new needs that can be implemented only through special forms of tourism.

Introduction. The article substantiates the relevance of domestic tourism development, examines the domestic tourist flow dynamics, and pays attention to the importance of mass tourism development for Russian economy. Theoretical analysis. Institutionalization and digitalization are fundamental elements of the mass domestic sustainable tourism development matrix. It is noted that a direct appeal to the tourist services producers by potential tourists through digital institutions becomes a condition for mass tourism restoration of in our country. Empirical analysis. An important role in domestic tourism development is played by the creation of digital products, which include a mobile application-designer of tourist trips “Be your own tour operator”. The paper gives an example of building a tourist route in Samara, proves the advantages of using the services of the proposed application. Results. The formation of mass domestic sustainable tourism requires the production of a customized tourist product, which can be achieved by applying institutional and digital mechanisms to the tourism industry. The customization of the tourist product reduces the role of tour operators in the domestic market and increases the role of tour guides and other direct producers of tourist services, which is the tourism digitalization paradox.

There is no doubt that theory of tourism lags behind increased tourism practice. In order to decrease such gap, theoretical work in tourism must be intensified and permanently reconsidered in future period. Consequently, it is necessary to pay attention to complex analysis and explicit interpretation of important notions that are integral parts of tourism practice, as well as objects of scientific investigations. The subject of this paper is analysis of complex structure of tourism resource base. Specially are focused two relevant tourism notions - tourist resources and tourist attractions (tourist motives). Analysis of their meaning, interrelationship and differences is made, relying on basic tourismological principles and critical review of contemporary experts opinions in this domain. Tourism demand is focused on estimating variables which influence tourist visit. The tourism demand that we discuss on this research is the tourism demand to Bali of the major tourism-generating country was Australia. The aim of this research is to analyze the relationship between tourist income and tourism price to tourism demand using VECM. VECM requires that the variables in the model must be stationary and fulfilled a cointegration condition. In order to make it valid, the stationarity of variables in the model have to be checked using ADF unit root test. In additon, cointegration between these variables are examined using Johansen’s cointegration test. The results of ADF unit root test show that indicated the tourist income, the tourism price and the tourism demand for Australia data are stationary in first lag or I(1). Cointegration test shows that all variables are cointegrated, i.e. have a long-run relationship. In the long-run, the tourist income and tourism price give positive effect to the tourism demand. This means, the increase of tourist income and tourism price will contribute to the increase in tourism demand. In addition, in the short-run, the tourist income and the tourism price give negative effect to the tourism demand. This means, the increase of tourist income and tourism price will contribute to the decrease in tourism demand.

Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to develop a framework for identifying the need for ecotourism certification within ecotourism and sport tourism (EST) by discussing the overlapping characteristics on the dimensions of EST. Design/methodology/approach – Qualitatively, the Social Exchange Theory was used to discover segments of tourists based on the two dimensions: EST. Findings – The findings discovered four strategic segments (namely; vacation, green, action oriented and active tourists), their related activities, and the level of need for eco certification. Practical implications – EST activities offer a unique opportunity for tourism managers to positively influence conservation in and around communities, protected areas and sport events. Applying and implementing a global eco certification is paramount to attract tourists and enhance credibility of sport tourism. Originality/value – Identification of the four tourists segments and their relative need for certification is the novelty of the study. The labels of the identified tourist segments are: vacation tourist (low on ecotourism and low on sport tourism); green tourist (high on ecotourism and low on sport tourism); action-oriented tourist (high on ecotourism and high on sport tourism); and active tourist (low on ecotourism and high on sport tourism). The certification needs for green and action-oriented tourists are HIGH, for active tourist is MEDIUM, and for vacation tourist is LOW.

Structural equation model (LISREL 8) was applied to test the causal relationships between tourist travel motivations and tourist destination.A survey containing Likert scale questions was conducted to collect data from 100 tourists who had travelled to Greece’s tourist destination. With the help of factor analysis, four dimensions were identified for scales used in the study: travel cost satisfaction, tourism product, tourism product attributes, and tourism product management. Results indicated that the travel cost satisfaction of tourists has a positive influence on tourism product, tourism product attributes and tourism product management. Moreover, our results suggested that the tourist demographics has a positive influence on tourism product and tourism product attributes and has an insignificant relationship with tourism product management. Based on our findings the tourist demographics has not influence on tourism product management. However, these findings suggest that both the private tourism and the governmental tourism sector should develop a better management of tourist destinations so as to develop a stronger attraction of tourism, better amenities, a better accessibility, an appropriate image, to make tourism competitive and to keep tourism product prices at a reasonable level. The implications of the tourism demand model can be used for the public environmental policy-making process based mainly on reasons of interest, ideology or understanding.

Indonesia is known to the world for the tourism it offers. Various approaches to tourism are now emerging over time, and one of the focuses of government development is village-based tourism or ecovillage toursim. The development of this tourist village itself cannot run well if there is no cooperation between the local government and the local community. Therefore, there is a need for communication between the two parties who have a similar vision and mission and are able to work together to develop an ecovillage. This is also what the West Java government and the people of Garut city are doing to develop tourist villages in their area. This study aims to determine the pattern of information dissemination carried out by the Garut Regency Tourism and Culture Office (DISPARBUD) in the development of an ecovillage-based tourism. Using a qualitative descriptive case study method and involving three members of DISPARBUD as the participants, the results of this study indicate that DIPSPARBUD has a simple pattern of disseminating information to local communities regarding the development of ecovillage. This pattern goes through three stages namely; (1) Information distribution (determining communicators, compiling messages, scheduling socialization), (2) Performance reporting (analyzing and responding to the effects of communication, (3) Managing stakeholders (evaluation). With this communication pattern, DISPARBUD seeks to optimize the delivery of information regarding development a tourist village that continues to move forward and is expected to produce many other tourist villages in the future

There is a worldwide trend of increasing interest in cultural tourism products, and the World Tourism Organization predicts that the cultural tourism market will be one of the five leading segments of the tourism market in the future. Local culture is an important feature of a tourist destination, and thanks to tourism, it becomes a flywheel of social and economic development. Cultural tourism is focused on cultural attractions and activities as the main reasons for traveling, and the participation of cultural tourism in all tourist movements is increasing. Thus in France, Italy, Spain, the United Kingdom, income from tourists whose primary goal is to get acquainted with cultural goods and cultural achievements exceed 1/3 of total tourism revenues. Starting from the above, this paper focuses on the analysis of the key problems of the development of cultural tourism and the possibilities of enriching tourist destinations with cultural offer through the development of a cultural product, as a way of increasing the value of a comprehensive tourist offer and attracting a large number of tourists. It concludes with a brief analysis of the key issues for this field of cultural policy in the Republic of Serbia and recommendations on how to make a tourist attraction from a cultural resource and to achieve greater satisfaction of the tourists with their stay in a destination.

With the development of global economic integration and the gradual formation of unified tourism markets, strengthening regional tourism cooperation has become an internal requirement of regional tourism development but also a new way of sustainably developing tourism. This study selected the key factors affecting the cooperation of tourist attractions, including the competitiveness of tourist attractions and the relationships among tourist attractions, and established an evaluation index system and mathematical model of tourist attractions’ cooperation. Furthermore, the level of cooperation was evaluated. According to the value of the cooperation level, the spatial characteristics of the cooperation level were analyzed using a geographic information systems analytical method, which can better reflect the competitiveness, relationships, and overall cooperation level of tourist attractions. The results showed that the tourism competitiveness of tourist attractions was generally strong and their internal relations relatively close, and the overall tourism cooperation level was high. However, a two-dimensional four-quadrant map revealed that there were still great differences in tourism competitiveness among tourist attractions and their internal relations. Twenty-three tourist attractions exhibited weak tourism competitiveness and sparse relationships with other tourist attractions. The tourism competitiveness of tourist attractions and their internal relations and tourism cooperation level showed positive spatial autocorrelation and spatial agglomeration characteristics. The spatial differentiation of an “inverted U-shape” indicated that the cooperation level, tourism competitiveness, and mutual relations of tourist attractions were not balanced and that a stable and gradual spatial transformation had not been achieved. This study can provide valuable insights for the government to formulate policies and measures for regional tourism cooperation, carry out regional joint marketing, and help tourism enterprises design tourist routes.

Abstract Tourism development in Ukraine has improved in terms of tourist flows, both as a diversification of tourism demand and tourism products in the last decades. Cultural tourism is a promising direction of tourist activity and occupies a leading position in the modern global tourist management system. The object of research is cultural tourism within the tourist destination of the Ivano-Frankivsk region. Regarding this, the authors revisit the phenomenon of cultural tourism in the country, in order to identify cultural tourism potential through cultural consumption among tourists, applying a special tourism survey. The purpose of this research is to identify the main problems of the development of cultural tourism in the Carpathian region from the point of view of demand and supply of cultural tourism programs based on the results of a comprehensive sociological study on the evaluation of tourist objects and the possibility of their inclusion in the cross-border tourist product “Carpathian Cultural Route”. The results of the survey demonstrated responses from 264 consumers of cultural tourism, which is 2,5% of the number of tourists (general population), and 140 respondents – employees of cultural institutions (objects of cultural tourism), the calculated sample of which was 28% of providers of cultural tourism services. The estimated sample was 28% of cultural tourism service providers. Among the positive aspects of the visit, tourists noted the price policy of institutions acceptable to them, the high level of authenticity and historical and cultural value of objects, the appropriate quality of service, and emotional comfort when visiting cultural and historical objects. According to consumers, the main problems of the development of cultural tourism are the low level of infrastructure support of objects and tourist destinations in general, the limited range of additional services, and limited information about the object. The authors emphasize the importance of developing culturally coherent policies to increase the competitiveness of tourist destinations. The most significant problems of the development of cultural tourism from the point of view of employees of tourist objects of cultural tourism are low level of infrastructure development of cultural tourist objects and tourist destinations in general, insufficient financing of institutions, low level of monetization of objects, low level of tourist and cultural activities in a tourist destination, insufficient advertising of the tourist object, imperfection of state tools for regulating tourist activity within cultural objects, low qualification of employees. Scientific developments on this topic will foster the application of innovative approaches towards the differentiation of cultural tourism objects, which, as a consequence, will help to target potential consumers and improve cultural tourism programs.
