Texto completo da fonteOur study focuses on the writing of sexuality in the novels of Andréa de Nerciat and Ahmad Al Tifachi's Délices des cœurs. Both writers belong to eminently subversive traditions. Despite the generic and formal differences between their works, Ahmad Al Tifachi and Nerciat were in dialogue with the novelists, poets, theologians and politicians of their time. Moreover, they readily associate the obscene with the comic. Humor manifests itself in onomastics, neologisms, puns and anecdotes. Parody and theatricality go hand in hand with carnivalesque laughter that overturns the established order. Despitethis subversive dimension, writing about sexuality is a reflection of the commonrepresentation of different sexual practices. The representation of masculinity and femininity illustrates the complexity of relations between the sexes. Moreover, the marginality of particular sexual practices reflects the cultural differences between the two writers
