This article examines the Nasa peoples’ resistance praxis known as “Desalambrar”. Through the analysis of Nasayuwe language, textile art, and ritual dance, the article looks at the idea of ontological continuum at the heart of this praxis, exploring how this concept provides the Nasa with a philosophical standpoint for what they have called “the liberation of Mother Earth”. The article then examines how this idea challenges the Eurocentric divide between Man and Nature/Woman and what it can possibly mean for women, gender, feminism, and the environment.

Shortly after Dreyfus and his colleagues demonstrated that procainamide was metabolized by acetylation to N-acetylprocainamide (NAPA), Drayer, Reidenberg and Sevy reported that NAPA had antiarrhythmic activity in an animal model. We confirmed these findings and found that plasma levels of NAPA were high enough to warrant consideration in managing patients requiring procainamide therapy. However, the actual impetus for developing NAPA as an antiarrhythmic drug in its own right was provided by the initial studies of NAPA pharmacokinetics in normal subjects. In these studies, we showed that NAPA has an elimination-phase half-life that is more than twice as long as procainamide and suggested that patient compliance and arrhythmia suppression might be improved if NAPA were used to circumvent the inconvenience of the frequent dosing schedule that has been recommended for procainamide. From the standpoint of managing individual patients with NAPA, the pharmacokinetics of this drug continue to provide the scientific basis for designing dose regimens that will have maximal antiarrhythmic efficacy and minimal toxicity. This review summarizes the salient features of NAPA pharmacokinetics and outlines an approach for individualizing therapy with this drug.

AbstractThe exchange between Martin Buber and Franz Rosenzweig on the status of halakha is a well known, but also frustrating fixture in scholarship. For rather than responding to Rosenzweig’s critique, Buber seems to retreat in silence, claiming to be “unable to speak” about his position on Jewish Law. Scholars have generally tried to explain Buber’s failure to respond on philosophical and biographical grounds. What I propose, by contrast, is to revisit the question of Buber’s silence and secrecy from a hermeneutical standpoint, arguing that Buber engaged in a deliberate strategy of concealment that constituted its own form of response. The hermeneutics of silence discloses a call for religious renewal that follows a state of Dialogvergessenheit, but which cannot be made audible. Neither dialogue nor its remembrance can be commanded. While Buber struggles with his Nichtredenkönnen, he also stands in a tradition of secretive hermeneutics – the Jewish hermeneutics of sod.

The recent research paper expounds the rendering of love, fate, beauty and life in the novel, Nala Damayanti. Anand Neelakantan is back with a striking new novel from the epic characters of Nala and Damayanti from Mahabharata. It is a factual that the story has persisted comparatively indefinite for the current generation, and this book is an effort to convey it to the younger generations of today. Nala Damayanti story is expressed from the outlook of Nala and how destiny arbitrated in his life. From an overemotional story of despair, it develops a stirring tale of a woman of substance. Neelakantan relates this timeless love story through Damayanti and the golden swan Hemanga's viewpoints. The eternal love is beautifully explored in this novel. Nala Damayanti is not only a love story with a joyful conclusion but it is also a stimulating leader to life. It is the tale of how humans can subjugate even gods if they have confidence and hope in themselves. A considerate tone is frequently used to express such tales in literature from the standpoint of a female and her close confidante and messenger of love, Hemanga, the golden swan. The author purely indicates that, the world can be protected even by a woman and a little swan and their sense of wit, and it can be ended without violence and wars.

This study centred on the effect of technology on conventional payment methods and their consequences for society. Considering the presence of digital currencies, also known as cryptocurrencies, used in transactions through financial technology (fintech), this study could serve as a basis for developing laws and regulations governing fintech. The purpose of this study was to offer a clear and specific understanding of the legitimacy and societal advantages of fintech in Indonesia. This study employed regulatory research methodology, incorporating socio-legal techniques, legislative analysis, and examination of legal concepts. The findings of this study have effectively achieved three fundamental criteria in the use of fintech: assurance, benefit, and fairness. The regulations on fintech are outlined in Bank Indonesia Regulation No. 19/12/PBI/2017, Financial Services Authority Regulation No. 77/POJK.01/2016, and Law No. 8 of 1999, which also address matters related to consumer protection. From a sociocultural standpoint, fintech embodies a technologically- driven revolution that fosters societal development. Fintech endeavours to offer benefits to the public through facilitating electronic financial transactions. It was emphasised that fintech plays a crucial role in reshaping society by revolutionising how people interact with finances. A key aspect of this transformation is the shift away from conventional payment methods towards digital alternatives. It is essential for both consumers and fintech companies to understand and follow legal requirements when implementing fintech solutions, as adherence to regulations is critical. Failure to uphold ethical standards within the fintech industry can hinder its widespread adoption and lead to negative consequences. Understanding the potential threats posed by fintech to the conventional financial system will allow financial institutions and regulators to develop effective risk management strategies

Abstract During its brief existence from 1976 to 1978 the French underground feminist magazine Ah!Nana represented a powerful medium to discuss various topics related to women, sexuality, and discrimination. One of its main goals was to challenge traditional (literary) female role models, including housewives, submissive mothers, and “damsels in distress.” Through the adaptation of fairy tales, a genre particularly suited through its imaginative worlds to challenge preconceptions and norms, Ah!Nana deconstructed and questioned binary gender roles and heteronormativity. This article analyzes cartoon artist Nicole Claveloux’s queer adaptation of the nineteenth-century fairy tale “Histoire de Blondine, Bonne-Biche et Beau-Minon” (Blondine, the Good Doe, and the Gallant Cat) by the Comtesse de Ségur. Claveloux addresses her queer parody to an adult audience, and conveys a new perspective on gender, sexuality, and humanness that is in line with Ah!Nana’s promotion of second-wave feminist standpoints and punk culture. She advocates the exploration of new sexual pleasures, and the disruption of bourgeoisie values, including binary gender roles.

Due to the fiscal needs of a modern state, the issue of choosing methods for assessing priority and effective directions of development of law enforcement structures is becoming increasingly relevant. The purpose of this article is to justify a methodological approach, rules, modern techniques, and methods to effectively determine the rating level of the activity of a specific law enforcement structure, unit, or the system as a whole. General scientific methods (generalization, abstraction, analogy, analysis, and synthesis) and a system of statistical methods – mass observations, absolute, relative, and average comparative values, tabular, correlation-regression, and analysis of score estimates, parametric analysis, modelling, etc., were used for the study. For a comprehensive characterization of international rating assessment, a series of constructive approaches has been proposed, which can be used separately or simultaneously, depending on the need. The identification of existing types of assessment from the standpoint of qualitative and quantitative characteristics made it possible to form a legal assessment of each of them, to justify the expediency of using a universal type of law enforcement activity assessment – international rating assessment, based on the compilation of a universal indicator. This allows evaluating both qualitative and quantitative characteristics of a particular object, law enforcement system, and determining the countryʼs ranking in the overall international rating. It has been proven that comparing the results of the activities of different structural units, types of law enforcement activities, regional and international structures involves conducting both internal and external ranking. Based on the research results, it is recommended to ensure the information focus of indicators with a view to standardizing procedures, dividing them into stimulants and depressants. As one of the simplified and accessible methods for assessing the international rating, the use of a multidimensional average is proposed, the algorithm of which is described in the article. The practical value of this work lies in the fact that the proposed methodologies can be used in decision-making and justification of management decisions

The peculiarities of the creation and circulation of virtual assets in the context of their decentralised nature and limited legal regulation are of not only scientific but also practical interest to both states and other entities that have the ability and desire to use them in their daily lives. The formation of full-fledged global and national virtual asset markets is an extremely important step in the context of taking advantage of digitalisation, but the creation of such markets must be transparent, which cannot be ensured without proper legal regulation. The research aims to study the legal regulation and reveal the content of virtual assets as a phenomenon and an instrument from the standpoint of their functional characteristics and the risks that may arise in the course of their circulation, as well as the abuse in this area and the international experience of combating it. Comparative legal, analytical, formal logical and synthetic methods of scientific cognition were used in the study to analyse the legislation of the European Union and other countries and the practice of specialised regulatory authorities of the United Kingdom and the United States of America concerning their impact on the circulation of virtual assets. The author draws parallels with the attempts to conduct rule-making processes in Ukraine and synchronises them with the rule-making work at the international level to create a new conceptual and regulatory framework and attempt to regulate the status of virtual assets. Several proposals have been made, the implementation of which will create the preconditions for the development, approval, and implementation of proper legal regulation of the circulation of virtual assets in Ukraine. Their implementation will enable the interstate exchange of information to prevent abuses in the field of activity under study, in particular, money laundering. The results of the study can be used to formulate public policy and improve legislation in the field of virtual assets circulation

Human rights are often echoed by various parties are sometimes opposed to each other. Many journalists who exercised the right to freedom of expression expressed the opinion that the right has been protected by the 1945 Constitution article 28 E (3), precisely resulting in a criminal offense of defamation for those who do not like it. Defamation articles in the Criminal Code are often regarded as a powerful weapon against a criticism as a form of antipathy against criticism. Therefore, there should be efforts to classify the forms of the use of rights and forms of criminal acts. and will be seen from the standpoint of maqâs?id sharî’ah. Through approach statue approach, and case approach, obtained that the law has protected the rights of everyone in expressing opinions. Every person shall have the right and freedom to express opinions but such rights shall not infringe the rights of others. In maqâs?id is guaranteed and protected self-esteem, the soul for every human being is contained in the principle of h?ifd?u al-nafs wa al-‘ird. Therefore, in every opinion, communicate and socialize should pay attention to the rights of others is the dignity of one's dignity to create a balanced and harmonious life.

The creation of works in the Independent Study MBKM program in this paper takes ideas or ideas about the interpretation of Aci Usaba Sumbu in Pakraman Timbrah Village in works of painting. The phenomenon of a religious ritual in Timbrah Village called Aci Usaba Sumbu which has its own uniqueness from the ceremonial facilities used in these religious activities. Banten Sumbu, which resembles a towering tower and the banten be guling which is offered by local villagers, is unique from a visual standpoint. The objects at the ceremony have their own meaning, the creator interprets them into life and social values through works of painting. The process of creating this work adopts the theory and methods of Alma M Hawkins. The creation method goes through 3 (three) stages, namely, the exploration, improvisation, forming stages. In the embodiment of the work, the ideas obtained created 6 works entitled: : 1) “Pengendalian Diri” , 2)”Keharmonisan” , 3)”Penyatuan”, 4)”Tri Kaya Parisudha”, 5)”Pohon Sumbu” 6)”Naga Sumbu”. The works created are a form of interpretation of Aci Usaba Sumbu along with the objects contained in the ceremony. With the creation of these works, it is hoped that they will be able to convey a message about the turbulence of the creator's feelings that have been observed.

Abstract Building on the regularized-Lanczos harmonic balance method, a previously developed frequency method, this paper presents a numerical bifurcation tracking strategy dedicated to high-dimensional nonlinear mechanical systems. In order to demonstrate its applicability to industrial applications, it is here used to obtain original results in the context of blade-tip/casing interactions in aircraft engines. The emphasis is put specifically on the tracking of predicted limit point bifurcations as key parameters — such as the amplitude of the aerodynamic forcing applied on the blade, the friction coefficient or the operating clearances — vary. Overall, presented results underline that the employed frequency method is well-suited to tackle the numerical challenges inherent to such computations on high-dimensional systems. For the mechanical system of interest, the industrial fan blade NASA rotor 67, it is shown that the application of the presented strategy yields an efficient way to identify isolated branches of solutions, which may be of critical importance from a design standpoint.

The ESA/NASA Mars Sample Return campaign aims to return to Earth samples of Mars materials. The samples will be collected by the NASA provided perseverance rover, assembled in the Orbiting Sample which will then be injected in the Mars orbit by the NASA provided Mars Ascent Vehicle. The ESA provided Earth Return Orbiter (ERO) vehicle will then autonomously detect and rendezvous with the Orbiting Sample (OS) container in low Mars orbit, capture it, seal it, and safely bring it back to Earth. Airbus Defence and Space, under ESA contract, is designing and developing the ERO spacecraft and, in particular, its vision-based GNC system to be used during rendezvous (RDV). The GNC system includes two types of vision sensors: a Narrow Angle Camera (NAC) and a Light Detection and Ranging device (LiDAR), integrating their own image processing to provide ERO navigation with measurements of OS relative position. From the navigation standpoint, the MSR-ERO rendezvous is a non-cooperative rendezvous scenario with a target vehicle (the OS) characterized by an uncontrolled fast tumbling motion. Choice has been made to divide rendezvous into a far range phase (from ~50km to ~500m) and a close range phase (from ~500m to capture). In the far range the vision system is required to provide only OS relative line of sight (LoS) using the Narrow Angle Camera (NAC), provided by Sodern, as main sensor. The NAC has a 4.5deg field of view (FoV) and 1Mpx detector (Faintstar2). It integrates a centre of brightness algorithm robust to proton impacts on the detector. In the close range the main sensor is a scanning LiDAR provided by Jena-Optronik with an adaptable FoV from 0.5° to 40° and a maximum scan frequency of 2Hz which integrates a 3D barycentring processing to assess the OS position from 3D point cloud directly measured by the LiDAR. This paper focuses on the vision sensors of MSR-ERO spacecraft. In a first section, it describes the MSR mission, including its requirements, and recalls the vision sensor trade-off done in the early phases of MSR-ERO project. Then, the vision sensor architecture within the ERO system and the sensors operation concept (board/ground) are presented in the second section and, in the third section, the selected sensors as well as their image processing are described in more details. An overview of their development plans is provided in the conclusions, together with the preliminary performance test results.

NASA is actively funding research into advanced, unconventional aircraft and engine architectures to achieve drastic reductions in vehicle fuel burn, noise, and emissions. One such concept is being explored by Boeing, General Electric, Virginia Tech, and Georgia Tech under the Subsonic Ultra Green Aircraft Research (SUGAR) project [1]. A major cornerstone of this research is evaluating the potential performance benefits that can be attributed to using hybrid electric propulsion. Hybrid electric propulsion in this context involves a non-Brayton power generation or storage source, such as a battery or a fuel cell, which can be used to provide additional propulsive energy to a conventional Brayton cycle powered turbofan engine. Employing additional power sources for thrust production increases the number of degrees of freedom both from a design and configuration standpoint and from an operational one. In order to assess and understand the myriad number of potential new configurations a modeling and simulation tool is needed; however, current state of the art propulsion modeling tools such as the Numerical Propulsion System Simulation (NPSS) are not natively capable of assessing novel hybrid electric configurations. This research addresses the gap between hybrid electric propulsion and conventional cycle analysis tools by developing a suite of native NPSS elements suitable for hybrid electric engine cycle design and analysis. Elements have been developed for a fuel cell, battery, motor, generator, and electrical distribution system. Both room temperature and cryogenically cooled superconducting variants are developed. The elements are designed such that they can be seamlessly integrated into existing NPSS cycle models to assess any system configuration or architecture the designer can envision.

This work investigates the installation of a 10 MW solar PV power plant in a sustainable city in Sudan. Initially, the climatic data such as relative humidity, temperature and horizontal solar radiation over 30 cities in Sudan were collected from NASA web page, then the behavior of all climatic data was analyzed. Annual daily solar radiation on a tilted surface was also calculated over the 30 locations around the country. It was found that the maximum value of tilted average solar radiation is 6.61 KWh/day at Dungola from fixed mode and 8.93 kWh/m2/day from tracking mode. Consequently, the location was selected as an optimum spot for building the solar PV power plant. Additionally, the available solar PV panels on the market were judged according to the maximum module efficiency and high ratio value of module capacity to frame area. The project lifetime is considered as 25 years. RETScreen v.4 software was used to simulate the feasibility analysis of the project based on electric power generated from fixed and tracking modes of operation, financial analysis and greenhouse gas emissions. The study showed that, technically, the proposed plant can generate up to 16.209 GWh of electric energy annually from the fixed system and 21.828 GWh from the tracking system. Environmentally, the annual net GHG reduction is 16,000 and 21,600 tons of CO2 from fixed and tracking systems respectively. From a financial standpoint, the cost-effective indicators were calculated and it was found that the IRR and payback period for the fixed system plant were 0.6% and 23.6 years, respectively. While for tracking system plant, figures were 2.66% and 19.4 years, respectively.

Abstract The reduction of noise for commercial aircraft has become an important challenge for engineers, with engine noise being one of the major contributors to the overall sound levels near airport. For modern turbofan engines, characterized by high bypass ratios, one of the main noise sources is the interaction between the turbulent rotor wake and the leading edge of the downstream outlet guide vanes. A passive noise control method that has been gaining interest in the research community is the use of serrated leading edges for the vanes. Studies done on flat plates and airfoils with serrated leading edges showed a reduction in airfoil turbulent flow interaction noise, with an increased benefit when increasing the serrations amplitude and the existence of an optimal wavelength. From an aerodynamic standpoint, some studies show that serrations delay stall, but with a cost in aerodynamic performance at design point. Very little data exists for assessing the acoustic benefits of serrations on the leading edge of outlet guide vanes, where the noise predictions require addressing both the broadband and tonal noise. Preliminary results indicate some noise reduction, but without quantifying the benefits against the serrations parameters. It is also unclear how the total pressure losses in the outlet guide vanes row are affected by the presence of serrations. In this paper, we report a parametric study based on leading edge serrations to investigate the effect of the amplitude and wavelength on noise levels, as well as on aerodynamic performance. The NASA source diagnostic test (SDT) fan with swept outlet guide vanes was used as the test case, being representative of a modern turbofan. The unsteady flow and radiated noise were computed using a hybrid Lattice-Boltzmann/very-Large-Eddy-Simulation model implemented in the PowerFlow computational fluid dynamics solver. The flow characteristics and the noise levels were validated for the datum geometry against existing experimental data. Correlations for the far-field overall sound pressure level and the total pressure loss coefficient were built in relation to the serration parameters and a discussion on the best combination of serrations amplitude and wavelength has been given. These correlations can be further used in a multidisciplinary optimisation process.
