The bazar is the stage of ethical contestation, and the place of laying claim to Truth; it becomes the Holy Altar of Sacrifice. It is the place of ultimate witnessing, of shahādat, or martyrdom which is essentially the witnessing of Truth in the form of submission of the self into the Self, a sublimation of the soul into the Soul, a finding of contingent being into Absolute Being, a journey from wujūd to Wujūd. But that submission, paradoxically, must also be witnessed so that it can be known, and thus found, that is, become maujūd (existent)—there must needs be a shahāda of the shahādat, a witnessing of the Witnessing, and that witnessing must take place in the bazar, the centre of the spectacle—the jalwa, the tajallī, the spectacular Divine Deployment through Self-manifestation. For without witnessing, there’s no knowing and without knowing, no realization of Divine Self-knowledge of Absolute Being. That is why all the lovers of the Beloved, the ‘āshiqīn of al-Ḥaq̣q̣ al-Jamāl, of Truth-Beauty, must dance in the bazar, the quintessential site of the manifestation of the Beloved as Truth-Beauty, and also as Love in, and through, the lovers’ ecstatic dance. The lovers must dance in the company of the Beloved, at the sight of Her Self-disclosure, Her Unveiling, that is, in the bazar, the central square before being slaughtered on the square. They must do so, so that their shahādat of Truth in love, their intense witnessing of Truth through sacrificing of their self in love, their martyrdom that is, can be witnessed and known by other lovers and by the Beloved as a spectacular manifestation of Truth, Beauty, and Being. That is what the iconic martyr of love, shahīd-e ‘ishq, Hussain b. Mansur al-Hallaj brought upon himself, and sacrificing his self into the Self out of love—self-sacrifice being an inherent quality and condition of ‘ishq love—turned the scene of his spectacular public qattāl, his intense assassination in the bazar, the central square, into a tajallī, into Divine Self-disclosure itself. That is, in this intensified witnessing through annihilation of the self into the Self, the shāhid became shahīd, the witness became the martyr, and the lover became the Beloved, raising the spectacle of this witnessing to the level of tajallī, of Divine Deployment itself. And ever since, this tajallī has become common vocabulary in the phenomenological, metaphysical, and aesthetic tradition of Islam. In the realm of Urdu alone it has become common parlance in the popular poeticizations by Faiz Ahmed Faiz, such as in his oft-sung poem āj bāzār meñ pā-ba-jaulāñ chalo. Thus, all martyrs of love, like this ultimate martyr of love, dance in the bazar—the city square, the qalb, the heart, the pivot of inqilāb, of revolution—in the Beloved’s City and beckon others to the same fate. And they dance intoxicated and without fear—in fact, without pain or suffering, which is naught but their dam-sāz, the companion of their breath, their witness, and intimate friend—they dance instead in Joy of Divine Ecstasy. And in this state they invite more lovers, others whose hearts are afflicted with Truth to pack up their heart’s load, and yet again, go and be murdered, sacrifice themselves, and be martyred for and in Truth.

Folk instruments, which play an important role in the production and transferof music, are cultural products that sometimes give voice to non-expressible feelings, save time for remembering the lyrics, increase the joy by adding to the sound, andsometimes maintain the rituals and serves as a means of communication. Thematerials they are made from, their shape and sound, they bear the traces of societyand they are also the most important indicator of character of music. As ancient ashumanity in terms of existence, they are the proof of cultural values of humanity withtheir rich variety. Besides the variety of our traditional folk instruments that take onthe primary task in continuation of musical tradition, they have representatives too.Such representatives sometimes take the name of the traditional art which theyproduce and sometimes they are called by the name of the folk instrument they play;they show themselves by various names and qualities such as minstrel, bard, tambourine (tef/def) player, tabor (deblek/delbek) player, reed (sipsili) player, uyguncak playerThe representatives, who contribute to the creation and maintenance oftraditional music in company with the traditional folk instruments, represent theirinstruments by remaining loyal to their cultural identities as well as their social roles. The places where they produce music with such traditional instruments rangesdepending on mentioned indicative elements in indoor-outdoor verbal culturalenvironments such as village wedding, henna night, farewell ceremonies for soldiers,city/town festivals, culture houses, places of worship, high pastures, nomad campingsites, etc. In this point, when we look at the adventure of our traditional folkinstruments, we see that women take over the role of representative and even thoughthey create special expression styles in terms of music and lyrics during thisadventure, they do not have a room for themselves under such roof.In this context, considering the fact that although female representatives oftraditional folk instruments have moved to big cities or their local characteristicshave somehow changed even though they continue living in their hometowns, theyare a part of this tradition with their current characteristics and productions styles; wewant to keep such musical soul alive, which has existed in all periods and willcontinue to exist, to make artistic identities of female representatives visible and toaccompany to their existence stories. Date obtained via field records have beenanalyzed within the contexts of expression styles of female representatives oftraditional folk music in the 21stcentury, their playing techniques, creation process oftheir musical products, transfer methods, the function of music in the lives of suchfemale representatives and reflection of their female identities into music

<p>A cytogenetic analysis of meristem cells of <em>Triticum aestivum</em><em> </em>L. of primary rootlets, affected by soil heavy metal (HM) contamination in the industrial zones of SC “Poltavachimmash” in Poltava city, PPC “Specialized company for thermal processing of firm household garbage” (SCTPFHG) in Khrakiv city, PrSC “Avtoradiator” in Mariupol city, CC (commercial company) “Poltava concrete product plant” (PCPP) in Poltava city, SJC “Luhansk accumulator producing company” in Luhansk city, UC “Lubny water supply station” in Lubny city and the territory near B. Khmelnytskyi Street in Kostiantynivka, was made. The frequency of aberrant cells of sprout root meristem of cultivar Al’batros odes’kyi was 1.37-2.30 % and that of cultivar Zymoiarka – 1.22-1.84 %, which exceeded the indicators of a background level by 1.9-3 and 1.6-2,5 times, correspondingly (Svatky village, Poltava region). The highest cytogenetic activity was recorded within the territory of the industrial zones of PrSC “Avtoradiator”, SC “Poltavachimmash”, SJC “Luhansk accumulator producing company”, the soils there were characterized by intensive Cd, Pb і Zn contamination. Significant differences in the levels of cytogenetic disorders depending on a wheat cultivar genotype, induced by high concentrations of soil toxic metals in the industrial zone of PPC “Specialized company for thermal processing of firm household garbage” and the territory near B. Khmel’nytskyi Street in Kostiantynivka, can be caused by physiological-genetic peculiarities of the plants and a possible effect of non-differentiated factors, specific for each territory. Complex effect of low HM concentrations, typical for soil contamination of the industrial zone of CC “Poltava concrete product plant”, showed the lowest cytogenetic activity. Soil contamination with HM in the industrial zones and the areas affected by industrial releases resulted in a wide spectrum of cytogenetic disorders: fragmentation, advance and lagging chromosomes, formation of chromosome and chromatid bridges, ring chromosomes, micronuclei. A significant increase of the cells with advance and lagging chromosomes was seen under the effect of HM soil contamination of the industrial zones of PrSC “Avtoradiator”, SC “Poltavachimmash”, UC “Lubny water supply station” and the territory near B. Khmel’nytskyi Street in Kostiantynivka, Cd, Pb і Zn predominating among them. The induction with high frequency of aneuploid cells shows active interaction of HM with the threads of spindle division which allows using the violation fact of chromosome segregation as an indicator of HM contamination of the environment. As a result of wheat seed sprouting in the soil with the highest HM content (PPC “Specialized Company for thermal processing of firm household garbage”, PrSC “Avtoradiator”, SC “Poltavachimmash”, UC “Lubny water supply station” and the territory near B. Khmelnytskyi Street in Kostiantynivka), besides mentioned-above chromosome aberrations and mitosis pathology in meristem cells, the following complicated cytogenetic disorders occurred: single/pair fragments and bridge; pair fragments and lagging chromosomes; pair fragments, bridge and ring chromosome; pair fragments, chromosome bridge and micronucleus. High cytogenetic activity of HM soil contamination, caused by industrial releases, confirms genetic threat for the organisms of above-ground ecosystems and suggests the necessity to work out a national program of large-scale genetic monitoring over techno-genic contamination of the territories in the industrial regions of Ukraine.</p>

The current study includes determination of the concentrations of lead (Pb) in 18 specimen of Kirkuk city soil (K). Inductively Coupled Plasma - Mass Spectrometry (ICP-MS) technology has been used in the analysis of soil samples in laboratories Acme company in Canada. Results of chemical analysis of samples clarified a rise in average of lead in soil samples (26.11 ppm) compared with international average of soil (10 ppm) and with uncontaminated ones (15 ppm), and rise in its average in surface depth (30.2ppm) compared with the lower depths (17.97ppm), and decreases in its average as compared with local soils in other cities in Iraq. Factor analysis of the geochemical data for the samples above has been conducted and has been shown a presence of affinity and geochemical associations among Pb and both of potassium oxide and phosphorus penta oxide and also some elements such as phosphorus, cadmium, copper and zinc, as well as organic materials. Size analysis of the samples has confirmed that the concentration of Pb increases in the clay fraction in soils, and in a larger quantities than in the silty and sandy fractions. The value of Geoaccumulation index (Igeo) for samples of soil showed that it lies within the medium pollution category to non-pollution. Oxidation - reduction potential and the acidic function have helped to identify the prevailing metallic phase in the soils at the area of study, which is a type of Cerussite.

On July 12, 1871, the Colorado Springs Company and its largest shareholder, William Jackson Palmer, adopted a plan that divided the hundreds of acres they owned into the streets, blocks, and plots of Colorado Springs. To sell the city, the boosters of Colorado Springs marketed it as a refined resort for wealthy industrialists, health seekers, and tourists. Boosterism in Colorado Springs appealed to these audiences over the next four decades by using a changing mixture of politics, business, and religious morality. This boosterism successfully distinguished the resort of Colorado Springs from the mines, steel mills, and agriculture that defined nearby towns.

The purpose of the work is to compare soil pollution with oil products on the territory of industrial and landscape-recreational zones of the city of Usolye-Sibirskoye using the fluorometry method. The content of oil products in the samples of the four upper layers of soils taken from the production area of the chemically contaminated city of Usolye-Sibirskoye and from its landscape and recreational zone was determined. Although the maximum permissible concentration of oil products in the soils of these zones has not been established, it is known that the mass fraction of oil products in uncontaminated soils should not exceed 0.1%. The obtained results of fluorimetric analysis of soils from two practically diametrically opposite areas of the city in terms of pollution made us think and conduct a deeper analysis, taking into account the wind rose of the city and adjacent territories and the sufficiency of the fluorimetry method performed using the Fluorat-0.2 luminescent photometric analyzer. Using the results of the analysis of soil samples from the territories of "Usolekhim-prom" and "Ski base" in Usolye-Sibirskoye, it was revealed that the mass fractions of oil products exceed the indicators for all four upper soil layers in the case of focusing on the principles of rationing, which today are not legally established. The results of the study showed that the highest content of oil products in both cases is in the layer of forest litter. Based on the fact that the activities of Usolekhimprom have been completely stopped since 2017, and pollution with oil products exceeding the approximate standard values was found only in the uppermost layer of the soil, it was suggested that the main cause of soil pollution with oil products in the territory of the city of Usolye - Sibirskoye is, basically, the current largest enterprise in Eastern Siberia for the production of petroleum products and petrochemistry - JSC Angarsk Petrochemical Company, and this is annually confirmed by statistics.

The relationship between Southern Italy and fascism is a little explored theme. The contribution reflects on this subject presenting unpublished conclusions: it starts from a volume by the author named after the monthly magazine 'Il Saggiatore' (Naples 1924-1925) by Gherardo Marone and expands the reflection through a more recent book by Zoppi dedicated to the magazine 'Questioni meridionali', also published in Naples, from 1934 to 1943. The three editors of 'Questioni meridionali' - Giuseppe Cenzato, an entrepreneur who was also the soul of the company, Francesco Giordani, a young chemical scientist, and Gino Olivetti, a politician and industrialist – despite being fascists, they created a periodical that showed how the 'Southern question', never mentioned by the dictatorship, remained, however, alive in its tragic backwardness. Every year, two large issues of the magazine were released, characterized by one or more original studies and always accompanied by extensive bibliographic reviews. Among the topics, analysed by a group of highly qualified scholars and often in comparison with the North of Italy, the following emerged: the railway network, tourism, the demographic and health situation, the birth rate, the difficulties of the construction industry, ports, the economic and production context. The magazine pays particular attention to the city of Naples and its housing drama and to the southern tax system, a primary source of backwardness starting with the problem of local government.

Abstract Black arrived in Birmingham in 1907 not knowing a soul. Decades later, he would say that life there “was enjoyable” and that living and working in Birmingham was “the happiest time” of his life. Black, as he liked to say to disarm people, was somewhat of a “backward country fellow” when he arrived. In a very short while, however, he became both a legal legend and a social success story. His acquaintances and friends grew dramatically in number, as did the names in his client roster. Hugo’s personal injury practice very soon became the first such lucrative law practice in Alabama. By the time Black went off to the U.S. Senate in 1927, his total worth exceeded $250,000. In his first year in Birmingham, however, Hugo paid his rent working for the Retail Credit Company of Atlanta, Georgia. He received fifty cents apiece “for reports on the life and habits of life insurance applicants.” This job, plus some minor legal work, got Black through his early days. Success did come fairly soon after Hugo arrived in the big city, for a number of not too surprising reasons, given Black’s personal characteristics. First of all, he was an active participant in one of the South’s primary social groups, Birmingham’s First Baptist Church.

The purpose of the study. To examine how the 19th century economic modernisation (Western type of industrialisation, technological transformation and the birth of the manufacturing industry) unfolded in Central Europe; and more importantly in Hungary, at Pécs, and what technological innovations were created by local entrepreneurs. Applied methods. Literature review including the history of the manufacturing industry. We involved sources from monographies, employment and census records, reminiscences and our own data from researches of archives. The research framework is the history of distinct businesses. We introduced five businesses whose economic effects influenced the operations of Pécs in the long run. We made a structural analysis examining the entrepreneur and its business together. Outcomes. The Austrian First-Danube-Steamboat-Shipping Company (DDSG) became the largest works in the city by starting intensive coal mining and creating modern technological background since 1852. It employed four thousand souls at the beginning of the 20th century and the city profited a lot from its developments (railway construction and electric power plant). The Zsolnay Porcelain Manufactory quickly became the synonym of Pécs. Vilmos Zsolnay ended up being a world famous entrepreneur because of his technological innovations (eosin, pyrogranite, etc…) and products. The term “Glove of Pécs” came alive in the ages of the dual monarchy. János Hamerli founded the first glove manufacturing plant in the country. The Angster Organs have played for hundred and fifty years. The company founded by József Angster emerged at the end of the 19th century and represented state of art technology.

In the first chapter we described several clusters of childhood cancers discovered by concerned residents of Woburn, Massachusetts, of Toms River, New Jersey, and of the Pelham Bay section of the Bronx, New York City. The residents in Pelham Bay blamed the cluster on a landfill nearby, in which hundreds of thousands of gallons of toxic chemicals, including waste oil sludges, metal plating wastes, lacquer, cyanides, ethyl benzene, toluene, and other organic solvents had been illegally dumped. This had been reported by an employee of the chemical company responsible, in testimony before a Congressional investigation of crime, and was never directly confirmed. Residents of the community had obtained a court order that stopped dumping in 1978, before the testimony about toxic wastes had been given. The story of this cancer cluster—both how it was discovered and what conclusions were reached about its causes—is typical of thousands of clusters reported each year to health authorities throughout the United States. After the alarm in Pelham Bay was sounded by the mother of a child with leukemia, ten years after dumping ceased, the New York City Department of Environmental Protection (NYCDEP) made measurements of hazardous chemicals in the air around the landfill, but found no significant amounts. The drinking water of the community came from the general New York City water supply system, so seepage from the landfill into the groundwater was not a possible route of exposure. It was concluded that by the time the measurements were made the landfill was no longer a threat to health. What the situation may have been in the past, during the time of dumping and just after, could no longer be known. After dumping had been stopped in 1978, the NYCDEP had covered the 150-foot-high mound of garbage, refuse, street sweepings, construction debris, and household and commercial waste, along with whatever may have been illegally dumped there, with a thin layer of soil. It was a hasty job, and it did not last. The soil cover cracked and eroded, washing away all the faster because of the steep slopes of the mound.

The above quote from a recent Hollywood film presentation of Colonel Percival Fawcett’s obsessive early twentieth-century search for the remains of the Lost City of Z (Gray, 2016) highlights the effort that it has taken to convince the academic world and the public alike that large urban forms can be developed in tropical forest settings. While the film, and the book by David Grann (2009) upon which it was based, grossly overplay the exploration credentials, respect for Indigenous peoples, and scientific abilities of Colonel Fawcett (Hemming, 2017), this quote encapsulates the difficult working conditions and environmental determinism in western thought that have led to perceptions of ‘impossibility’ of extensive settlements and social complexity in tropical forests. Beyond searches for debated ‘lost’ cities, even where the clear ruins of ancient urban sites have been found in tropical forests, as with the Classic Maya in North and Central America and the Khmer Empire in Southeast Asia, their collapse has been seen as almost inevitable given necessary forest clearance, soil erosion, and population pressure on these delicate environments (Webster, 2002; Diamond, 2005; Chen et al., 2014; Lentz et al., 2014). In particular, the intensive agriculture seen as necessary to fuel the ‘urban revolution’ (Childe, 1950) and the development of cities and elite structures familiar to most archaeological definitions of cities (Adams, 1981; Postgate, 1992), has been considered impossible on the fragile, low nutrient soils of tropical forest habitats (Meggers, 1954, 1971, 1977, 1987). Other, less-discussed threats include natural disasters, such as mudslides and mass-flooding, that continue to trouble tropical regions prone to high annual or seasonal rainfall (Larsen, 2017). Nevertheless, new methodologies and theoretical shifts are highlighting the clear emergence of social complexity and extensive human populations prior to the arrival of European settlers in many of the world’s tropical forest settings. Here, I review the growing dataset of past ‘urban’ forms in tropical forests. As with ‘the origins of agriculture’ in Chapter 5, tropical forests have been crucial in demonstrating that traditional ideas of ‘urbanism’ in archaeology–namely ‘compact’, bounded, and dense populations documented in early Mesopotamia and the Mediterranean, and that dominate European thought—do not capture the whole wealth of ‘urban’ diversity and settlement networks that began to develop from the Middle Holocene.

There is a large consensus that cities have a special role in the process of climate change. Cities are responsible for 75% of global energy consumption and 80% of GHG emissions, both due to "lifestyle" generated in the last 150 years and changes associated with urbanization process in the era of globalization and urban sprawl. The specialized literature has devoted many efforts to analyze the contribution of urban systems to climate change, occupying the Urban Heat Island (UHI) an important place in studies on urban climate. In this sense, the use of remote sensing technology has allowed detailed mapping of (daytime) land surface temperature (LST) for urban and metropolitan systems. These studies have demonstrated the key role played by vegetation, impervious soil and land uses to explain differences in the spatial distribution of LST. However, the information provided by satellites has important limitations: especially the low resolution of the thermal band of night images. MODIS, for example, provides valuable information on the night LST; however, the spatial resolution of the thermal band is about one km², scale clearly insufficient to identify accurately the spatial structure of the UHI. In the opposite site, Landsat offers a more accepTabla spatial resolution (30 m² / pixel for the visible bands of the electromagnetic spectrum as well as 60 to 100 m² / pixel in the thermal bands), but does not provide information about night soil temperature. In addition, it is at night when the urban heat island becomes more evident. Therefore, to determine the night LST in an appropriate scale (as offered by Landsat) remains a significant challenge in studies aimed at identifying the spatial structure of the UHI. In Metropolitan Area of Barcelona (AMB, 3,200 km² and 4.8 million inhabitants), the (day) highest temperatures are not in the CBD but in areas that are more peripheral specialized in economic activity such as industrial parks, producing a "donut" in the spatial distribution of the LST. Bare soil also shows a (day) high surface temperature. In contrast, sprawled areas have a less pronounced LST. The spatial structure of the LST, however, changed significantly during the night: compact and sprawl areas maintain high levels of heat, facing the agricultural soil, which cools more sharply as also happens in the industrial land. UHI appears therefore overnight. This paper aims to show the spatial patterns of Urban Heat Island in the Metropolitan Area of Barcelona at medium scale (30 m² / pixel). It develops a new methodology aimed at modeling the night temperature at one km² resolution (MODIS) and then extrapolating this methodology to a most accurate scale of 30 m² / pixel (Landsat). The study allows identifying differences in (night) LST according to the distribution of land use, quantity and quality of the vegetation, intensity of urban sprawl, spatial distribution of economic activity and type of urban morphology (continuous vs. scattered urbanization).

Pile foundations placed until hard soil layer and passed through a liquefied layer can be a mitigation effort against liquefaction hazards to buildings. Nevertheless, liquefaction can still impact the stability of the pile. The Anutapura Medical Center (AMC) building at the Anutapura General Hospital complex, Palu city, is a building that is planned to be built on potentially liquefied soil. The foundation of the building was planned to use bored pile foundations to mitigate the possibility of liquefaction. This study aims to analyze and compare the stability of the bored pile group foundation of the AMC building under non-liquefaction and liquefaction soil conditions. The study was conducted by manually calculating the bearing capacity of the bored pile based on soil data. Further analysis was carried out by modeling the pile foundation using Geo5 Pile Group to determine the deformation and internal forces acting on the pile group. The analysis was carried out in 2 cases, i.e., non-liquefaction and liquefaction conditions. The results show differences in the bearing capacity, deformation, and internal forces in non-liquefaction and liquefaction soil conditions. The study results are expected to be a reference and consideration in designing pile foundations in liquefaction-prone locations.

Considered an ongoing urban socio-environmental disaster, the case of subsidence of the soil in Maceió-Alagoas-Brazil, is treated as a reference example to analyze the process of urban restructuring after mining activities. Linked to neoliberal policies, the city has its dynamics changed and led by capital, where one of the main agents of restructuring is the same responsible for causing the problem: the company Braskem. Thus, bibliographical research, analysis of official documents and up-to-date news about crime are used to compare and contrast the actions of the space producing agents, highlighting the imbalance between them. After 4 years of identifying the entity responsible for the sinking of the soil and cracks in buildings, and 4 years since the beginning of the removals of about 57 thousand people from 5 neighborhoods of Maceió, the transformations occur unattended, without planning and without State protagonism in the negotiations. Keywords: urban restructuring, disaster, space-producing agents, neoliberalism.

This research studies the metropolitan urban edges that are directly linked with other cities, their relation, interactions and how they act as a single territory, considering this as the subordination of one main city to other peripherals. In some cases, there is a physical space development and it is compared with planning processes that have been generated for these áreas. Furthermore, observations can be made that unite them or the differentiate them in an organic manner. Which points to the city is unified and its own structural urban behavior as a single territory, from the different components of urban structure: roads, public buildings, uses of soil, centers, urban design and community; leaving aside relationships that limit administrative politics that regulate processes which may be unnoticed to the socio-spatial dynamics on a more global scale.

A portion of Enbridge Pipelines 30 inch crude oil/NGL pipeline runs from Bay City, Michigan to Sarnia, Ontario. A geometry tool found a topside dent indication and GPS data indicated that the dent was located in the Saginaw River which is considered Coast-guard navigable. This pipe segment is located within a defined high consequence area making Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) timing applicable. On top of the normal problems associated with digging in a river, the riverbed soil was known to contain dioxin contamination related to its industrial history. This paper provides an overview of the practical problems encountered in completing this dig. Governmental construction permitting proved to be the most difficult aspect of the work. Contaminated soils caused Enbridge to hire a specialized water handling company. Significant engineering challenges included design and installation of a 100 × 50 foot coffer dam with 70 foot long sheets. The coffer dam design required a flood plain erosion study. After many months of permitting process, all required permits were obtained and construction was started. The construction included three major elements, water handling, coffer dam installation and excavation of the suspected defect. After 2 months of work to uncover the suspected dent, it was located and analyzed. The dent did not meet Enbridge repair criteria, but mechanical reinforcement was installed as a precaution. Final steps included backfilling and coffer dam removal. From start to finish the construction portion of the dig took about 5 months to complete.

The energy-Internet is a new energy supply method based on urban compact and densely populated community in a low-carbon city. The principle is to connect small energy generation stations and combined heat and power system (CHP) based on distributed energy technology and renewable energy into a network in the urban district. In this way, the cooling, heating and electricity could all back each other up. Each building of the community could collect the energy and then put that energy into the energy-internet to supply the heating and power to buildings. The power in the energy-internet could also be used for charging electric vehicles. So the energy use in the urban community would be basically self-sufficient. The energy generation stations in the energy-internet could be solar power, wind power, biomass cogeneration (including refuse power generation), household fuel cell, low-grade heat in rivers, lakes, urban sewage and soil. In this way, large-scale renewable energy and unused energy could be fully used and applied in a compact and dense community. If the energy-internet is suitable designed, the equipment capacity, energy consumption and CO2 emission of the community could be greatly reduced, energy efficiency could be optimized and improved and the heat island effect could also be alleviated. This article explores three major problems of the construction of energy internet and their solutions: namely, the location and layout of the energy station, the environmental economic dispatch model of the energy internet with power dispatching as an example, the optimal path design of hot water pipe network combined with graph theory and genetic algorithms.
