Perangkat lunak (Software) merupakan program-program komputer yang berguna untuk menjalankan suatu pekerjaan sesuai dengan yang dikehendaki. Program tersebut ditulis dengan bahasa khusus yang dimengerti oleh komputer. Perangkat lunak terdiri atas perangkat lunak system (system software), perangkat lunak aplikasi (application software), aplikasi web (web applications) dan perangkat lunak tertanam (Embeded Software). Perbedaan diantara perangkat lunak tersebut adalah perangkat lunak sistem melaksanakan tugas-tugas dasar tertentu yang diperlukan semua pengguna untuk komputer. Aplikasi software adalah program yang dirancang untuk membuat pengguna lebih produktif. Web Application atau aplikasi web adalah suatu perangkat lunak yang diakses menggunakan web browser melalui suatu jaringan seperti Internet atau intranet. Software untuk mengelola data transaksi menjadi laporan keuangan sangat banyak dipakai di berbagai sektor bisnis. Software yang cepat, akurat, reliabilitas tinggi serta mudah diimplementasikan menjadi faktor pemilihan software. Oleh karena itu, dikembangkan software pengelola transaksi dengan menggunakan PWA (Progressive Web Apps). Alasan memanfaatkan PWA karena dapat memenuhi kebutuhan software yang dibutuhkan oleh pengguna. Secara garis besar, kelebihan PWA ini terletak pada bagian notifikasi, dapat diakses secara offline, memiliki performa yang bagus, sistem keamanan yang bagus (karena harus menggunakan HTTPS), dan dapat diterapkan pada web. Penerapan PWA ini juga sama seperti memakai aplikasi di smartphone. Uji coba dalam pengembangan ini dilakukan dengan dua metode, yaitu Performance Testing dan Functionality Testing. Hasil uji coba menyatakan bahwa web akuntansi dengan PWA mempunyai kecepatan yang hampir sama dengan native tetapi User Experience PWA lebih baik dibandingkan aplikasi native. Hasil dari Functionality Testing menunjukan Web App dapat berjalan dengan baik sesuai fungsi setiap fitur.

Abstract Continuous Software Process Improvement (SPI) is essential for achieving and maintaining high-quality software products. Web-based software enterprises, comprising a substantial proportion of global businesses and forming a cornerstone of the world’s industrial economy, are actively pursuing SPI initiatives. While these companies recognize the critical role of process enhancement in achieving success, they face challenges in implementing SPI due to the distinctive characteristics of Web-based software projects. This study aims to identify, validate, and prioritize the sustainability success factors that positively influence SPI implementation efforts in Web-based software projects. Data have been meticulously gathered through a systematic literature review and quantitatively through a survey questionnaire. The findings of this research empower Web-based software enterprises to refine their management strategies for evaluating and bolstering SPI practices within the Web-based software projects domain.

The article provides a comparative analysis of web frameworks based on the Python programming language. The right choice of a software development tool will allow developers to speed up the process of designing and software implementation of web resources. With the development of programming languages, solutions have begun to appear that make it easier for programmers to create web applications. In recent years, many tools of this type have been developed, including web frameworks. Some of them are used to develop small web applications, and other frameworks are used to create large-scale systems. The existing web frameworks differ from each other, but choosing them can be a difficult task for a programmer. Therefore, it is necessary to specify several parameters that are common to frameworks, according to which the desired web framework should be selected. The selected criteria make it possible to evaluate the frameworks more qualitatively and more objectively and speed up the process of design and software implementation of web resources. Due to the high demand for web applications, developers need to develop cost-effective, secure and well-coded web applications. Analyzing the Django framework, it can be argued that it is the most popular for web development, written in the Python programming language and using the MVC architecture. It is ideal for application projects with limited time and a small budget. If the application is not very voluminous and only simple URL routing and templates with a simple context are needed, then the Flask framework can be used instead of Django. The framework for building a Flask application in the resulting HTML files contains additional tags and scripts. The mechanism of work of processing forms also works differently. Flask stores more information about form fields on pages. The size of HTML files created using the Flask framework turns out to be significantly larger.

Software agents and rules are both used for creating flexibility. Exchanging rules between Semantic Web and agents can ensure consistency in rules and support easy updating and changing of rules. The Rule Interchange Format (RIF) is a new W3C recommendation Semantic Web standard for exchanging rules among disparate systems. Yet, the contribution of RIF in rules exchange between Semantic Web and software agents is unclear. The BDI architectural style is regarded as the predominant approach for the implementation of intelligent agents. This paper proposes a development for integrating RIF and BDI agents to enhance agent reasoning capabilities. This approach consists of an integration architecture and equivalence principles for rule translation. The equivalence principles are demonstrated using examples. The results show that the approach allows the integration of RIF with BDI agent programming and realize the translation between the two systems.

AbstractThe aim of this paper is to introduce the software and astronomical web-services developed in frame of the Ukraine Virtual Observatory (UkrVO) and VIrtual Roentgen and Gamma Observatory (VIRGO) to the broad astronomical community. We report briefly on such web-services as the public databases “Sky Maps” of X-ray observations by XMM-Newton, the Earth Orbital Parameters for International Earth Rotation System, and the UkrVO Joint Digitized Archive of astroplates. We refer to such software as the “Multi-Column View”, “Variable Stars Calculator”, “FrameSmooth” for variable star’s research and “Collection Light Technology” (CoLiTec) software for search and discovery of new Solar System bodies.

This article describes a analytic-hierarchy-process (AHP) application to identify and evaluate the best online advertising analytics software. This technique is multi-criteria and used in this study by comparing the top four web advertising analytics software. AHP uses pair-wise comparison of matrices. There are six criteria identified for evaluation: Ad scheduling, ad targeting, creative banner rotation, features, performance, cost and for each criterion, a matrix of pair-wise comparison with web-analytics software i.e. Google analytics, Accenture Analytics, Funnel and, Moat Analytics were evaluated. AHP is an effective method for multi-objective decision-making, and optimization. Thus, it helps web advertisers to evaluate the existing web advertising analytics software for posting their web advertisements.

The purpose of software redocumention is to recover comprehension of software and to record it for future use. This paper describes Partitioned Annotations of Software (PAS), where comprehension is recorded in hypertext and browsed by web browsers. The annotations for each code component are partitioned in order to keep different explanations separate, leverage the advantages of hypertext, and better support the processes of program comprehension. The paper describes a tool that parses code and generates PAS skeletons. The paper also describes a process of incremental redocumentation where comprehension of software is recorded incrementally during normal maintenance. The experience with PAS in an industrial project is summarized.

The Some phenomena have an impact on the health of people who use computers for lengthy periods. The physicians call these symptoms “distress symptoms related to the use of computers”. In our unconsciousness, colors and music greatly affect the mood of a person. This effect differs according to the persons and their education. Colors and music have symbolic values related to each culture and country. Therefore, there is a difficulty to identify certain colors and music that can be considered as a standard to treat the users or prevent them from the resulted negative effects of using computers and mobile devices. The research aims at suggesting features called (interface style behavior) (ISB) to participate in treating and preventing the users of computer screens and mobile devices from “distress symptoms related to the use of computer” through integrating these features derived from color therapy science and the science of music therapy with the art of User Interface Design and then apply the results to the applications and web sites.

This paper deals with representation of scientific references’ data and visual analysis of this data using web based scientific reference management software. The Reference application, is a web based reference management software, that enables easy administration and management of authors and scientific references. Similar web based reference management systems additionally support advanced tools for data visualization and exploration but the downside of this solutions is that they require installation of additional plugins due to the fact that visualization within the web browsers requires advanced graphics capabilities thus limiting the usability of these applications. The Reference application on the other hand introduces a solution for data visualization and exploration that relies on extensive usage of the latest HTML5 web standard featuring support for rich graphic intensive web applications hence forcing maximum usability and compatibility with the modern web browsers.
