The concepts of “repertoires” and “cycles” of collective action, as popularized in recent years in the works of Charles Tilly and Sidney Tarrow, respectively, are the focal point of this essay. I explore these concepts in the context of a set of data based on 7,664 incidents of social conflict and political protest occurring in Japan during the period 1590–1877, in order to investigate their temporally and spatially comparative robustness.

Using a bibliometric analysis, this study conducts a thorough investigation of the relationship between social justice movements, popular culture, and social media. Utilizing citation analysis, co-authorship networks, keyword co-occurrence, and temporal trends analysis, the study draws from a wide spectrum of scholarly publications, including seminal texts and modern contributions. The complex relationships found in the literature are made easier to show with the help of the visualization application VOSviewer. The analysis identifies important research areas and highlights topics including the effects of youth internet use, the contribution of popular culture to activism, and social network dynamics. The intellectual landscape is also shaped by important works by writers like Tarrow, McPherson, and Collins. Along with highlighting justice, race, and gender, the study also uncovers rising themes like diversity and group action through term occurrences. All things considered, this bibliometric analysis offers a thorough grasp of the intellectual landscape, generating a nuanced knowledge of the complex convergence of social justice, popular culture, and social media and providing ideas for future research.

The article analyzes possibilities of convergence between popular education and participatory action research, taking as a reference the thought of the Brazilian pedagogue Paulo Freire and the Colombian social scientist Orlando Fals Borda. In particular, it examines these convergences in order to identify elements for the constitution of a decolonial pedagogy in Latin America. It is a research inserted in the field of the comparative history of Latin American social thought, using as primary sources several works of Paulo Freire and Orlando Fals Borda. The article defends the argument that the convergence between popular education and participatory action research is one of the most fruitful, creative and instigating intellectual contributions ever produced in Latin America, capable of pointing to a decolonial pedagogy that confronts intellectual colonialism, Pedagogical traditionalism and the authoritarianism of modern-colonial science.

In the 1970s and 1980s, the social and professional imaginaries of education, sociopolitical conceptions of it, and educational practices in Spain, began to be influenced by certain elements specific to critical popular education, which had developed in Latin America during the long 1960s. Paulo Freire’s work was particularly prominent among such influences, either directly or indirectly inspiring social and fundamental educational movements in contexts of poverty, marginalisation and social exclusion –for example, street educators. One of the most significant examples of these Freirean practices was Enrique de Castro– a working-class priest who worked in the south of Madrid (Spain) with young people in such a position, from the early 1970s. At the same time, he laboured to bring about social transformation and development; the project managed to Garner the involvement of practically the entire community. This article analyses Paulo Freire’s influence in the educational and community principles expressed by Enrique de Castro in his works ¿Hay que colgarlos? and Dios es ateo. Particular attention is paid to the notions of awareness-raising, education, social action, community development, social and critical leadership of institutions, which de Castro championed.

In Chile and Latin America, the State has built the city. Thus, from buildings and public spaces, institutional, school, housing, hospital, industrial, and transportation architectures, to the most diverse spheres, the State’s action in the production of public architecture is undeniable. At different times, this fact has been more or less valued or recognized. For example, during the presidency of José Manuel Balmaceda (1886-1891), his administration undertook numerous public works that sought to spread modernization throughout the country through buildings and infrastructure. Likewise, during the 1940s, with the boost of the Popular Front governments, there was a sustained institutionalization action that resulted in the construction of numerous buildings, that spread the benefits of modern architecture for public architecture and working-class housing. With the application of a capitalist economic-social model, which privileges market fluctuations, from the 1970s to the present, the private sector has been favored, so that the State’s action in the production of the city has been curtailed and, on many occasions, muted or vilified.

AbstractChinese local officials frequently employ relational repression to demobilize protesters. When popular action occurs, they investigate activists' social ties, locate individuals who might be willing to help stop the protest, assemble a work team and dispatch it to conduct thought work. Work team members are then expected to use their personal influence to persuade relatives, friends and fellow townspeople to stand down. Those who fail are subject to punishment, including suspension of salary, removal from office and prosecution. Relational repression sometimes works. When local authorities have considerable say over work team members and bonds with protesters are strong, relational repression can help demobilize protesters and halt popular action. Even if relational repression does not end a protest entirely, it can limit its length and scope by reducing tension at times of high strain and providing a channel for negotiation. Often, however, as in a 2005 environmental protest in Zhejiang, insufficiently tight ties and limited concern about consequences creates a commitment deficit, partly because thought workers recognize their ineffectiveness with many protesters and partly because they anticipate little or no punishment for failing to demobilize anyone other than a close relative. The practice and effectiveness of relational, “soft” repression in China casts light on how social ties can demobilize as well as mobilize contention and ways in which state and social power can be combined to serve state ends.

A review of the changes made in the themes and subjects of the works of the Iranian story writers that most of them are from the middle class of society, indicates the growth of awareness and understanding of Iranian women about their identity and individuality and the achievement of conditions beyond what they are. Although in popular stories, most Iranian female storytellers are still interested in the reproduction of traditional gender stereotypes, but female storywriters in the field of transcendental literature have entered the changes made in their cognitive realm to the actions of characters of their stories. This reveals that they seek to understand their own self and place in the world around them. Love and loneliness resulted by the confrontation between men and women are a common theme in these works that have been narrated on the various issues arising from the family and social relationships of women.

The rise of robots and robotics has proved to be a benefaction to humankind in different aspects. Robotics evolved from a simple button, has seen massive development over the years. Consequently, it has become an integral part of human life as robots are used for a wide range of applications ranging from indoor uses to interplanetary missions. Recently, the use of social robots, in commercial indoor spaces to offer help or social interaction with people, has been quite popular. As such, taking the increasing use of social robots into consideration, many works have been carried out to develop the robots to make them capable of acting like humans. The notion behind this development is the need for robots to offer services without being asked. Social robots should think more like humans and suggest possible and suitable actions by analyzing the environment where they are. Belief–desire–intention (BDI) is one of the most popular models for developing rational agents based on how humans act based on the information derived from an environment. As such, this work defines a foundation architecture to integrate a BDI framework into a social robot to add “act like a human” feature for proactive behaviors. The work validates the proposed architecture by developing a vision-based proactive action using the PROFETA BDI framework in an indoor social robot, Waldo, operated by the robot operating system (ROS).

The practice of cyber-bullying on teenager can cause depression, murderer or suicidal thoughts and it needs a preventing action so it will not harmful to the victim. To prevent cyber-bullying a text mining modelling can be done to classify tweets on Twitter into two classes, bullying class and not bullying class. On this research we use Naïve Bayes Classifier with five stages of pre-processing : replace tokens, transform case, tokenization, filter stopwords and n-grams. The validation process on this research used 10-Fold Cross Validation. To evaluate the performance of the model a Confusion Matrix table is used. The model on 10-Fold Cross Validation phase works well with 77,88% of precision , 94,75% of recall and 82,50% of accuracy with +/-5,12% of standard deviation.

The article is devoted to the problem of public solidarity through volunteer activities during the fight against the pandemic. At the beginning of the article, the phenomenon of volunteerism is considered as a new social institution that is ready to consolidate society, contribute to solving global problems and meet the challenges of our time. Further, the concept of solidarity in the works of outstanding scientists is considered, which leads to the conclusion that solidarity is the most important component of civil society. The empirical study uses inductive content analysis using marker words from nine of the most popular Russian press publications from March to August 2020, which describes the types of volunteer activities during the pandemic, provides statistics across the country, reviews the results of work, and identifies the problems faced by both volunteers and citizens in need of support. A detailed analysis of solidarity in the framework of the activities of pandemic volunteers was conducted using the example of the all-Russian volunteer action #WeAreTogether. In conclusion, the results of the study allow us to state the fact that the fight against the pandemic has become the most important factor in uniting the citizens of Russia, where public solidarity is one of the main components of the development of civil society.

SummaryThis paper examines the working class in the United States and Britain in order to find a new perspective on the origins and break-up of the World Federation of Trade Unions. While most previous works have focused on the roles of institutions and leaders, this research uncovers the important role played by the thoughts, actions, and inactions of average workers in international affairs. American and British workers, as key constituents of two of the most important organizations making up the WFTU, were not passive observers of world events. Rather, they were critical not only of how the world union movement functioned, but also of the process which came to be termed the Cold War.

Abstract It is relatively easy to produce a decent rap piece. Rap also has a long history as political culture. Whether people want feminist development or action against brutal capitalism—rap is there. Critical theory and political philosophy have always been a part of rap. In the 1990s MC Solaar quoted Umberto Eco and Jacques Derrida. Today, Princess Nokia rhymes on bell hooks. No other genre of popular music can come up with as strong a history on philosophy and critical theory. We have not, though, yet discussed the way rap lyrics themselves could be thought of as vernacular critical theory or philosophy. Besides attempting to do this, Ryynänen asks why philosophers and critical theorists do not recognize vernacular versions of their practice, presenting some of the ways rap works for social change.

Osteoarthritis (OA) is a progressive joint disease that causes persistent pain, limited joint function, disability, and loss of social activity. One of the most popular OA treatment options is intra-articular (I/A) hyaluronic acid (HA) injections. This procedure was introduced into clinical practice in the early 1980s and is used universally. To date, there is no consensus on the therapeutic value of HA. Many investigations confirm that HA is effective as not only a symptomatic agent, but also a structure-modifying one. Some works also show that the effect of HA is equal or only slightly superior to that of placebo (I/A saline injection). The review describes the mechanism of action and comparative efficacy of various (lowand high-molecular weight) HA preparations, as well as the safety of their use in real clinical practice.

Closing rural schools is a scene that has become usual in many Brazilian states, a fact that forces rural communities to quit life in the country as the place for both living and existence reproduction. Rural schools in Northwestern Rio de Janeiro State take the same path of other Brazilian realities; in other words, they are the victims of activity canceling, which is an injustice supported by economic arguments. However, the implementation of the course named Interdisciplinary Major Degree in Rural Education, also known as LEdoC, at Fluminense Federal University (UFF), in Santo Antônio de Pádua City, RJ, opened room for a whole series of popular movements to cope with the rural exodus reality. Accordingly, the aim of the present study is to describe the path opened between 2015 and 2019 by UFF’s LEdoC and Santo Antônio de Pádua’s community for the Alternation Pedagogy in order to defend rural schools, based on the research-action methodology. The main results have highlighted the importance of the research-action methodology to reinforce the local demands and the process of reporting the alienation of rural populations from their right to education. Moreover, they have pointed towards the fact that popular social movements reinforce rural teachers’ formation by repairing public policies to question oppression situations in and outside education institutions.

The Popular unity in Chile (1970-1973) with its radical social program after the victory in the elections of 1970 faced the problem of power, its completeness, effectiveness of implementation and preservation of leadership functions. This problem was acute for the forces that were part of the ruling coalition and that supported it from the outside. Hav-ing almost no historical experience on which to base their reflections on the complex question of a single, consolidated power and state in-stitutions, Chilean left-wing intellectuals inevitably turned to the lega-cy of the classics, to the experience of the Russian revolution, which suggested as obvious parallels the problems of dual power in the revo-lution, critical balance and the actions of the parties to overcome it in their favor. 50th anniversary of the dramatic military coup that put an end to the historical experiment of the popular government of Salvador Allende and the "Chilean path to socialism" We offer an analysis of the works and ideas of the outstanding Bolivian intellectual René Zavaleta Mercado (1935-1984), who was a contemporary and witness of those events, and who left interesting works on this topic, where the main outline of his theoretical-political work was aspects related to the category of dual power, addressed to the analysis of the experience of National Unity as part of the Latin American revolutionary experience of the twentieth century.

Maja Smrekar is a visual artist addressing current phenomena in contemporary society. Her earlier works often touch upon the mundane permeated by stereotypes of popular culture, the future as understood through fiction, and the ethical aspects of human interventions in nature and natural processes. In 2014, she began performing her continuous work K-9_topology, in which she analyses the causes and consequences of human domination on the planet, and questions the self-evidence of the anthropogenic mentality. During the following four years, this artistic research and extremely interdisciplinary action led her to deeply explore the relationship between a human and a dog. Individual elements of the project were introduced through performance, installation, artist book, and photography. The following interview focuses on this segment of her work; on her reflections on the relationship between a human and an animal; and on certain important social contexts that define her work. Local water governance is challenging given the significance to public health and the difficulties to manage it in a fragmented administrative system. A collaboration network is a popular governance tool in local governance to cope with functional fragmentation problems and institutional collective action (ICA) dilemmas. Empirical works are needed to examine the outcomes of such governance networks, especially in the context of environmental governance. With fuzzy-set qualitative comparative analysis (fsQCA), this article seeks to evaluate the outcomes of collaboration networks by investigating the influence of network structures on local water governance performance in China. Based on empirical analyses on a dataset of twenty local water governance networks implementing the Water Ecological Civilization Pilot Project in China, the findings suggest that a high overall bridging and bonding of social capital and a low network density are important determinants of effective collaboration networks. This study has policy implications for the design of local collaboration networks in facilitating effective environmental governance.

The trend of using social media as a space for delivering public opinion has given rise to the phenomenon of cancel culture or call-out culture. Social media users who are increasingly massive make this phenomenon a popular culture that is currently rife on social media such as Instagram. Cancel culture can be interpreted as a community's collective effort to 'boycott' someone for their actions or words, which are considered to have violated existing social norms. The cancel culture process is often carried out via the internet or through social media, where this action is in the form of punishment for individuals in cyberspace. Cancel culture cases can happen to public figures such as celebrities, influencers, etc. Public figures affected by the cancellation will have an impact both virtual and real. Therefore, it is interesting to see the formation of this phenomenon, so that it becomes a new culture in social media and expands public participation. This study uses a qualitative method with a virtual ethnographic approach. Virtual ethnography can be used to identify behavioral patterns, patterns of life and social relations in virtual life in cyberspace or on social media. By exploring the entities (users) that use the internet, especially social media. Especially in the case of cancel culture that befell public figures on Instagram.

Although the works of three early Italian Renaissance poets, Brunetto Latini (1220-1294), Dante Alighieri (1265-1321), and Giovanni Boccaccio (1313-1375), may seem far removed from the social science ventures of the 21st century, these three Italian authors provide some exceptionally valuable materials for scholars interested in the study of human knowing and acting. As central participants in the 13th-14th century “humanist movement” (in which classical Greek and Latin scholarship were given priority in matters of intellectual development), Brunetto Latini, Dante Alighieri, and Giovanni Boccaccio helped sustain an analytic focus on human lived experience. Most of the materials addressed here are extensively fictionalized, but our interests are in the sociological insights that these authors achieve, both in their accounts of the characters and interchanges portrayed in their texts and in their modes of presentation as authors. Although lacking the more comprehensive aspects of Chicago-style symbolic interactionist (Mead 1934; Blumer 1969) theory and research, these early Renaissance texts are remarkably self-reflective in composition. Thus, these statements provide us with valuable insights into the life-worlds of (a) those of whom the authors speak, (b) those to whom the authors address their works, and (c) the authors themselves as people involved in generating aspects of popular culture through their poetic endeavors. More specifically, these writers enable us to appreciate aspects of pragmatist emphases on human knowing and acting through their attentiveness to people’s perspectives, speech, deliberation, action, and interaction. In addressing affective relationships, introducing generic standpoints, and considering morality as community matters, these materials offer contemporary scholars in the social sciences some particularly instructive transhistorical and transcultural comparative and conceptual reference points. Inspired by the remarkable contributions of the three 13th-14th century Italian poets and some 12th- 13th century French predecessors, the Epilogue direct specific attention to the ways in which authors might engage poetic productions as “producers” and “analysts” of fictionalized entertainment.

<p>Costas Gaganakis, Processions as liturgical dramas in Paris under theCatholic League, 1585-1594</p><p>In his seminal work Les Guerriers de Dieu, Denis Crouzei has questionnedthe socio-political approach to the Catholic League, proposed by otherhistorians of the French Wars of Religion, by ascribing the emergenceof the «Holy Union of Catholics» to a mental climate of acute eschatologicalagony. His own approach, presented as an «archaeology ofsoteriological adoration», focussed on the mental substratum of theLeague, by linking it directly to the climax of popular religious sentimentand eschatological panic that characterized France in the 1560s andespecially the 1570s. In Crouzet's interpretation, the League appears asthe carrier of the «crusading spirit» that had always ignited the Catholiccrowds against the spread of heresy. This article follows the spread of Catholic processions in the 1580s.These emerged as the most powerful weapon of the League, besides theprinting press, in its propaganda war against heresy and eventuallyagainst the French crown. In view of the fervent popular religiosity ofthe era, and in the light of recent works by Barbara Diefendorf andEdward Muir, among others, the author seeks to explore the variousattempts of symbolic appropriation of religious processions by the crownin the 1570s and early 1580s and by the League in the late 1580s. Catholicprocessions were ritual instances of a «presentation of the self»of ecclesiastical and lay elites aiming to impress and instruct the crowd. They also were representations of social cohesion and religious conformity,as well as a vital «defense mechanism» against Protestant iconoclasm. What equally matters is popular reaction to their orchestrationfrom above, the possibility of autonomous popular action in the contextof a profoundly religious atmosphere, as suggested by Crouzet. Thequestion of symbolic appropriation leads to the examination of the attemptedpolitical manipulation of the processions under particularlydramatic circumstances —such as the siege of Paris— whose overwhelming weight on the daily life of Parisians ultimately determined thesuccess or failure of such attempts.</p>

The interest of this research resides in the analysis of the only fiction series dealing with the functioning of the European Union: the French- Belgian-German production Parlement (Émilie Noblet and Jérémie Sein, 2020). Through a qualitative methodology, it seeks to answer a threefold re- search objective: (1) to analyze the main characters and their characteristic elements; (2) to identify the space-time relationship and the political actions addressed in fiction in order to provide realism to its development through the scenarios and arguments presented; and (3) to detect the existence of parallelisms between the European Union in the social imagery and the one presented in the series according to the theory of social representations, the reality effect and the Eurobarometer surveys. The results reveal that Parle- ment works with stereotypes and social perceptions about the European Union through satire but manages to offer pedagogical elements in all its epi- sodes. In this way, it accomplishes becoming a popular catalyst to bring Euro- pean politics closer to citizens, by projecting a more human and lighthearted image.

This article continues the research, which started in 2018, and examines the evolution of Yury Dud, one of the most popular bloggers and journalists in modern Russia, over the past two years. In 2018–2020, he released several educational documentaries (about the Stalinist repressions and Kolyma, the Beslan tragedy of 2004, the HIV epidemic in Russia, Silicon Valley startups, the disabled and the homeless, etc.). The documentaries drew a huge response, turning Yury into a public figure with significant political potential. According to sociological surveys conducted in the spring of 2020, Dud was named one of the living figures who inspire Russians the most (the audience most interested in him is young people between 18 and 24 years old). The text demonstrates the tremendous influence of the blogger’s talk show on the moods and actions of his viewers, and the way it changes their lives. As of December 2020, Yury Dud has almost 15 million subscribers on his social media accounts and more than 1.2 billion views on his YouTube channel alone. His success is based on the competent use of new media tools for promotion of a personal brand and his virtuoso ability to reach out to a variety of audiences (differing in age, education, income level, locations, interests, etc.), which normally do not overlap. Thus, his enlightenment works in several directions: not only he introduces the mass audience to new information in a fascinating way, but also helps different circles to better understand each other.

Abstract According to a monastic chronicler from Lower Saxony, in October 1147, at Nicaea in Asia Minor, tensions within the crusade host of Conrad III of Germany threatened to erupt into mutiny. The chronicler pinned the blame on rumours that Conrad proposed bailing out the poverty-stricken and amateurish infantry and despatching them by sea directly to the Holy Land. The putative recipients angrily rejected royal largesse and authority, electing their own leader, a man called Bernard, and condemning Conrad with the words: ‘Since he scorns to have common people (plebem) with him, we refuse to follow him as king’. In this story, the king backed down. Whether or not these events actually happened, the incident conforms to similar descriptions of popular challenges to crusade leadership emerging from almost all the large-scale crusade campaigns to the eastern Mediterranean from the First Crusade onwards. Shared features include collective non-noble identity; organised popular political action; active public dialogue between commanders and their followers; social tensions that expose suspicions of elite self-interest and backsliding; and an outline of a coherent set of commoner ideological principles revolving around a desire to maintain, and occasionally to assert, communal fraternity across social groups in a common cause.

Mid-gesture interfaces have become popular for specific scenarios, such as interactions with augmented reality via head-mounted displays, specific controls over smartphones, or gaming platforms. This article explores the use of a location-aware mid-air gesture-based command triplet syntax to interact with a smart space. The syntax, inspired by human language, is built as a vocative case with an imperative structure. In a sentence like “Light, please switch on!”, the object being activated is invoked via making a gesture that mimics its initial letter/acronym (vocative, coincident with the sentence’s elliptical subject). A geometrical or directional gesture then identifies the action (imperative verb) and may include an object feature or a second object with which to network (complement), which also represented by the initial or acronym letter. Technically, an interpreter relying on a trainable multidevice gesture recognition layer makes the pair/triplet syntax decoding possible. The recognition layer works on acceleration and position input signals from graspable (smartphone) and free-hand devices (smartwatch and external depth cameras), as well as a specific compiler. On a specific deployment at a Living Lab facility, the syntax has been instantiated via the use of a lexicon derived from English (with respect to the initial letters and acronyms). A within-subject analysis with twelve users has enabled the analysis of the syntax acceptance (in terms of usability, gesture agreement for actions over objects, and social acceptance) and technology preference of the gesture syntax within its three device implementations (graspable, wearable, and device-free ones). Participants express consensus regarding the simplicity of learning the syntax and its potential effectiveness in managing smart resources. Socially, participants favoured the Watch for outdoor activities and the Phone for home and work settings, underscoring the importance of social context in technology design. The Phone emerged as the preferred option for gesture recognition due to its efficiency and familiarity. The system, which can be adapted to different sensing technologies, addresses the scalability concerns (as it can be easily extended for new objects and actions) and allows for personalised interaction.

Data showed that all original Netflix series topped the list of most popular and watched for the year 2020-2021It's got homosexuality scenes. that the total time of homosexuality scenes appearance was about 312.83 minutes, for 424 scenes. This confirms that there is at least one homosexuality scene every 42 minutes, and homosexuality intercourse scene were in every 15 episodes. homosexuality verbal terms are the most frequently used by %57.54. homosexuality action was the second frequent scene by %14.15. The data also showed an increase in the size of direct homosexuality contexts by (81.94%), compared to the size of the indirect homosexuality contexts, which was %18.06.Despite this, indirect contexts were also employed in a way that works to achieve moral sympathy for the viewer towards homosexuals, by showing the suffering that homosexuals face from the society around them. The study recommends the importance of conducting more qualitative and quantitative studies to identify the impact of homosexual scenes promoted through digital video platforms on the viewer’s perception, the extent of their mental acceptance, and the need for the competent bodies to protect intellectual security to educate the lllviewer about the seriousness of what these platforms offer, activate their supervisory role and block scenes that contradict with Islamic and cultural values.

The article presents a comparative and typological study of A Song of Ice and Fire by G. Martin and Hard to Be a God by the Strugatsky brothers. These works are analyzed together with their screen versions. The purpose of the study is to reveal the typological (genre, plot, ideological, philosophical, and narrative) similarities of both works. The conducted research is relevant as the comparative and typological approaches help to understand the ideological and philosophical messages related to the role of an individual in history and the temptations for heroes endowed with supernatural power. This analysis is performed based on a combination of typological and comparative approaches: the comparative approach helps reveal deep similarities between these two works, and the typological approach helps comprehend their role in a wide cultural context. The conclusion is made that A Song of Ice and Fire and Hard to Be a God have several typologically close features. They belong to the genre of hybrid fantasy, they do not have a direct assessment of events, and there is no “all-competent” author’s point of view. Nevertheless, there is a metaphor of “an involved observer” who, nonetheless, is also limited in his possession of information. Both works represent a common psychological motivation of the heroes, which is based on a “mechanical” response to evil with more violent evil; a shift from the Christian tradition, atheistic and agnostic philosophizing are also represented in both works as well as a broken denouement and unresolved lines associated with the fate of the main characters. It should be noted that the works studied here belong to different historical and cultural epochs but they illustrate the development of typologically similar trends in literature and cinema, which are as follows: the strengthening of a pessimistic view of man and history, weakening of the spiritual and moral component, lack of assessment of the heroes’ actions, breakage (or inevitable absence) of denouement. The works of these authors are immensely popular because they satisfy the unspoken “social order,” and in some cases, they form it.

But is it true that this jargon has changed the position of the audience from being just consumers on conventional media to becoming prosumers on the YouTube platform? This research attempts to examine popular content on YouTube in 2018-2020 to obtain an overview of the growing YouTube content industry in Indonesia as well as competition between user-generated content and professional-generated content. ). Digital labor theory from Christian Fuchs is used to read digital capitalism practices that occur on the YouTube platform, while the research methodology used is digital discourse by looking at four dimensions including text, context, action and interaction as well as ideology and power. This research concludes that there has been a practice of digital capitalism on the YouTube platform which can be seen from how the audience has experienced multiple layers of exploitation as free labor on the YouTube platform. Audiences do not only work for capitalist corporations that sell personal data to advertisers, they also become the backbone of capital corporations through the video content they produce. Apart from that, the audience also works for other audiences who are content creators.

It was noted that the films popular among young people are multi-genre works which combine historical accuracy and autobiographical, melodramatic and action-film elements. The viewing motivation associated with watching films about the Great Patriotic War, analyzed in terms of the theory of usage and satisfaction, is a complex system of expectations. The authors distinguish 6 groups of normative expectations: identity and integration; establishment of pleasant environment and recognition; tension and sensation seeking; authenticity and cognitive satisfaction; escapism and imagination; surprise and spectacularity.Historical war films fulfil social functions (meeting young people's expectations of integration, establishing a pleasant environment and credibility), while being an entertaining media product appropriate to the youth mediahabitus (meeting expectations of spectacle, suspense and escapism). The authors state that historical films devoted to the events of the Great Patriotic War manage to successfully maintain a balance between format (proximity in terms of style and language to the youth audience) and content (ideological, patriotic message).

In a remarkable span of days at the turn of the year 1888, Edward Eggleston and Edward Bellamy issued critiques of Gilded Age America that employed a similar, and for the time, unusual, narrative device – the glance backward from the late twentieth century.1 Bellamy's, of course, was Looking Backward, 1887–2000, the most successful novel of the period, and one of the few works of American popular fiction to impel both social action and political reform.2 Eggleston's work, far less ambitious and visionary than Bellamy's, nonetheless warrants interest; not only does it provide a point of entry for recuperating Eggleston's considerable reputation in the nineteenth century as a regional novelist and social historian, it also allows us to recover the relation his writing bore then – and bears now – to American pluralist fantasies about race, class, and national identity.3 Entitled “A Prospective Retrospect,” Eggleston's backward glance purports to describe “The Age of Paradox,” an article from “a magazine called The Twentieth Century … dated November, 1987,” in which a future antiquarian “look[s] back but one hundred years upon American life.” To the observer from the future “the manners of the people of 1887” revealed the paradox of the age. On one hand, the “antiquary” noticed that democratic America had removed from the public arena “any mark of social distinction”; in this “paradoxical age,” he argued, fashion was no longer a reliable gauge of class: “the gentleman, and especially the statesman … held fellowship with cabby in wearing the high hat, the man of the upper walks of life was yet more intimately associated with the waiter, in the fact that the dress-coat of the gentleman was an exact copy of the working coat of the waiter.”

The article touches upon various lexical-semantic peculiarities of Andrii Kokotiukha’s detective novels, specifically the nomination of people – characters of the novel. Such research are presented mostly from the point of view of literary studies. Scientists studied peculiar features of composition, genre, and plot of detective novels. The question of language and style of detective novels would uncommonly become a subject of research as they are regarded to as so-called mass literature, that is one that is focused on literature preferences of a wide circle of readers, in other words – it is a popular, entertaining, trivial literature. Linguistic research of detective works were mostly done on the material of literary texts of English and French languages, Ukrainian detectives were not a subject of such analysis. Questions of influence of genre peculiarities on the choice of linguistic units was also left beyond attention of researchers, which predetermines the relevance of the research. The source basis of the research consists of detective novels by Andrii Kokotiukha – one of the most notable Ukrainian detective authors. That is a series of retronovels, where the action takes place at the beginning of XX century in Lviv, and three novels about the modern period as well. The aim of the work is to explore lexical units that denote a person in Andrii Kokotiukha’s detective novels in terms of their expressive functions depending on the aim and genre features. Vocabulary of denomination of people is widespread in Kokotiukha’s works. Specifics of detective novels involves agile, dynamic nature of vocabulary and their text. Semantics of people’s names is diverse: its affiliation to the biological genus of humans; gender; age; family status; profession and occupation; status from the point of view of law; class and social structure of Ukrainian society; social status; financial situation; nationality or confession; affiliation to political parties; names of dead people, external signs; temporary sign. The author frequently uses descriptive compounds, metaphors, jargon, and colloquial language. A distinctive method of nominating a person which, according to genre requirements, creates mystery and enigma of presentation, is descriptive compounds with pronouns. Quantitative ratio of lexical groups mentioned depends on the peculiarities of the plot of specific novel. Nomination of people in A. Kokotiukha’s detective novels are components of dynamic and static descriptions, help convey the cultural-historical background, create the appropriate emotional tint. That is one of the elements which ensures that the text corresponds to the canons of detective genre.

YouTube social media is one of the popular media for all people to become a platform as a means of information and expressing opinions. Opinions can be categorized as hate if they attack something targeted. Hate speech is a behavior, word or action that is prohibited, because it causes violence to any individual and group. Expressing opinions in the form of hate speech is a problem that is still very difficult for the authorities to overcome because it is very common. Therefore, in this study a system was created to detect hate speech in the youtube comment column, using the Long Short-Term Memory and Latent Dirichlet Allocation. In this study, several methods were carried out that aimed to get the best accuracy value and carried out the topic modeling process using Latent Dirichlet Allocation to produce a total of three topics containing words that often appear in youtube comments. Based on the tests that have been obtained, the best accuracy is 0.657 or 66%.

The article examines the transformation of social practices of using mobile phones by students. Two areas of manifestation of social practices were the focus of the authors' research: the daily life of students and the learning process. The article provides an overview of the works of foreign and domestic authors who have made a significant contribution to the study of the transformation of social practices of using mobile phones in everyday life. The methodological basis of the article is the theory of media as a continuation of M. McLuhan's man, which is supplemented by the constructivist theories of I. Hoffman, P. Berger, T. Lukman, which made it possible to trace the transformation of social practices of using mobile phones. Social practices are daily actions and routine actions that do not require explanation, performed in a familiar way in everyday life. The research method was the focus group (N=32), the informants were students of Volgograd State University; the time of the study: December 2021 – March 2022. The study allowed us to conclude: the first mobile phones performed the function of movement control, were used as toys, initiating individual and group gaming practices. The presence/ absence of a modern game or a phone model made it possible to use power resources, move through the steps of the social hierarchy in the school team. Currently, students use mobile phones for oral communication, but visual and written communication practices are no less popular. The usual social practice using a smartphone is listening to music, communicating on social networks and messengers, sending messages, watching videos. Modern mobile phone applications allow you to turn it into a professional earning tool, facilitate everyday life, accompany the learning process. A modern mobile phone has become a "part of a person", to forget it is to lose touch with the world. The presence of a smartphone is perceived as a necessity for everyday life, leisure, work and education. A special style of communication has developed among students, unthinkable without the use of modern telecommunication means, namely a smartphone.

In the context of the rapid development of the information environment, a person’s life path, identity, and the living space of an individual are not only presented in real life, but also in the virtual world, as well as in augmented reality. The mixing of virtual and real spaces cannot but affect the daily life of young people. This article attempts to describe and structure the elements of life models as fragments of a life scenario, broadcast through communities in social networks. The social network VKontakte has become a meaningful field for analysis as it is the most popular and frequently used online platform in the information space for the purpose of transmitting interesting and relevant information among Russian peers. The starting point of the study was the assumption that the content of social network posts describing the spheres of life can serve as a basis for building elements of life models broadcast on the Internet. The research consisted of several stages: preparatory (questioning young people about their preferred Internet content) and the main one (semantic and content analysis of the content of social networks). The sample of the preparatory stage was 110 respondents, the average age was 22 years (SD=2.8). The main sample consisted of over 200,000 posts from the top 20 social media communities (with an average of 4 million subscribers, with entertainment and non-themed content) over the past 2 years. With the help of special program codes and computer programs, the posts devoted to the most significant spheres of human activity were analyzed. It was found that the most popular marker words denoting areas of life in posts are work, relationships, and family. The data of automated semantic and content analysis showed that most often, through posts in communities, a model of an active and purposeful person is declared. This is an individual who is ready for action, flexible, mobile with respect to work and self-development, but conservative in regard to building family relationships. The results obtained confirm the assumption that the characteristics of the components of life models are presented most vividly in the posts of Internet communities, are actively broadcast and have their own characteristics. The results of the research data can contribute to the study of the main mechanisms of transmission between contemporaries of characteristics of behavior in real life, values and information through Internet content, as well as the work of practicing psychologists when referring to the profile on social networks or preferred client communities.

The removal of mural looking like President Joko Widodo's face with the words 404 Not Found triggered a wide range of reactions from the public, including some on Twitter, who saw the action as an anti-critical form of government. As a result, the hashtag #Jokowi404notfound became a popular topic and was used over 11,000 times on August 14, 2021. The purpose of this study is to look at how people use the hashtag #Jokowi404notfound on Twitter to protest the removal of murals. In August 2021, this study takes a qualitative approach, collecting data in the form of observation of media texts on Twitter's public timeline. According to the findings of this study, the hashtag #Jokowi404notfound was used to protest the government's anti-critical decision to remove murals as a form of suppression of individual freedom. When the public interest is at stake and the movement is mobilized by Twitter activists with large social media followings, the hashtag activism movement has the potential to drive and influence government policy. Messages to the government are also conveyed using various styles of language.

The article deals with the urgent problem of possibilities of using information and communication technologies during epidemics, and their role in the organization of the educational process in Ukraine under quarantine conditions. The analysis of publications on the role of information and communication technologies in epidemics has been carried out by searching on the Internet platforms that comprise abstract databases of scientific journal publications and patents. It is found out that for the most existing works are concerned with the closure of institutions during infectious disease outbreaks, the analysis of the importance of information and communication technologies in epidemics, the role of social media during pandemics, the role of mobile technologies in supporting the continuity of education during temporary closures of schools caused by different crises, experiences of the use of online or other communication technology for the temporary distance learning provision. The analysis of the publications revealed that most of the scientific papers found have been devoted to the problem of preventing the spread of the epidemic rather than organizing the educational process at the educational institution. The carried out research has comprised a quantitative and qualitative (content) analysis of Internet search results in various information resources and Internet services. The qualitative content analysis has been applied to clarify the essence of information and communication technology concepts of and to define the value of information and communication technologies for the organization of the educational process under quarantine conditions. The quantitative content analysis has been used to identify the frequency of words or phrases contained in the texts of scientific articles, web pages, social media posts outlined by the research topic. The analysis of articles in search systems for scientific publications and patents, the analysis of official information resources of different countries, the electronic search in the most popular search engines, the analysis of messages on the most popular social networks, the analysis of lists of educational topics, search in the shops of mobile applications have been carried out in the research. The descriptive analysis, classification, grouping, and graphical methods have been used to systematize, summarize, and present the results of the research. It is concluded that, at present, informing the population and educational institutions on the organization of the educational process under the conditions of pandemics and quarantine is not of sufficiently high quality and opportune. The situation with the dissemination of information and the support of educators in such an emergency as a pandemic needs further study, it is advisable to direct the actions and reactions of educators during this period in particular scientific analysis.

Background: As the Sustainable Development Goals deadline of 2030 draws near, greater attention is being given to health beyond the health sector, in other words, to the creation of healthy societies. However, action and reform in this area has not kept pace, in part due to a focus on narrower interventions and the lack of upstream action on health inequity. With an aim to guide action and political engagement for reform, we conducted a thematic analysis of concepts seeking to arrive at healthy societies. Methods: This paper drew on a qualitative thematic analysis of a purposive sample of 68 documents including political declarations, reports, peer reviewed literature and guidance published since 1974. Three independent reviewers extracted data to identify, discuss and critique public policy levers and ‘enablers’ of healthy societies, the "how." Results: The first lever concerned regulatory and fiscal measures. The second was intersectoral action. The final lever a shift in the global consensus around what signifies societal transformation and outcomes. The three enablers covered political leadership and accountability, popular mobilization and the generation and use of knowledge. Conclusion: Documents focused largely on technical rather than political solutions. Even as the importance of political leadership was recognized, analysis of power was limited. Rights-based approaches were generally neglected as was assessing what worked or did not work to pull the levers or invest in the enablers. Frameworks typically failed to acknowledge or challenge prevailing ideologies, and did not seek to identify ways to hold or governments or corporations accountable for failures. Finally, ideas and approaches seem to recur again over the decades, without adding further nuance or analysis. This suggests a need for more upstream, critical and radical approaches to achieve healthy societies.

Jack London used a variety of motives in his works: mythological motives, the motive of adventure, the motives of friendship and love, the motive of lust for profit and true humanity, and also, the motive of freedom takes honorable place in this list. Freedom is a magnificent word, and it is also main purpose for humans, even if it might not be the only one. The freedom is not philosophical speculation, but the possibilities for human action under the restraints of existential conditions in real life. Free people are not abstract concepts, but real individuals in real life, because this is precisely what concerns literature. Due to the individual’s numerous difficulties in socialized life, how to obtain freedom, that is, the possibility of choice for the individual in life, has been an important topic in literature from ancient times to the present. From this another topic is produced, so-called fate and whether it can be predicted. The philosophical question of what is freedom and how to use it in real life is very popular in literature. «Martin Eden» by Jack London offers insights on the American social class structure during the early- to mid-20th century, which is still relevant today. The protagonist is a representative of the lower-class, having worked a blue-collar job before deciding to become a writer. The motive of a person’s destiny is broad and multifaceted, it is closely related to the motives of fate and the motive of freedom. A person's destiny can be influenced by character, human values, and fate. The desire for freedom is one of the important factors that influence a person's destiny.

SummaryAt an estimated US$19 billion, the illicit wildlife trade is a serious threat to global conservation efforts. This criminal enterprise is now digital, expanding its footprint to consumers internationally by using the Internet and social media platforms. Recent studies have detected illegal wildlife selling posts on the popular social networking site Facebook in several different languages, including Chinese. In order to further explore this challenge to conservation, this study used big data approaches to identify and characterize wildlife trading activity in Chinese language on Facebook using an automated web scraper. We focused on keywords associated with elephants, rhinos and hawksbill turtles. We collected 10 303 unique Facebook posts over a 45-day period and were able to identify 639 posts from 268 unique users, which we suspect of directly marketing the sale of wildlife products. We also identified other species including Tibetan antelope, bears and African spurred tortoises. Facebook community pages appeared to have the highest percentage (48.2%) of wildlife selling posts. We also identified 14 different countries and regions with suspected wildlife-selling users, most located in Taiwan. Furthermore, we observed that the language used by some sellers changed from descriptive text to emojis and other code words. Collective action is needed from governments, law enforcement, civil society and technology companies leveraging big data approaches to better detect and interdict online Chinese-language wildlife trafficking.

Abstract: The various dimensions that characterize the emerging Constitutionalism twenty-first century - political, social, economic, environmental and cultural - turn to challenge the State's actions, involving the collective decision-making processes of contemporary society. In response to these conditions, the qualitative study on social inclusion and education in human rights as viable mechanisms of action of a democratic state is proposed. In other words, it is just before the Latin American environment that one can understand the (new) rights as stress coping mechanisms among emerging democracy and constitutionalism. Plus, you need to know how to channel the institutions to promote mechanisms for social inclusion and empowerment. Sequentially to that reasoning, are singled out, critically, some challenges of this century, for a plural and citizenship education as an example of (new) rights, among which stands out education in human rights. This critical analysis is justified by the need for the advancement of scientific knowledge in the methodological study environment as a form of state supervision on the Latin American multiculturalism.

It is known that the spiritual nature of the Kazakh people, which characterizes its spiritual culture, is passed on from generation to generation through the cumulative function of language. This article presents the moral and ethical principles of spiritual culture - the spirit of the people, achievements in the world of the mind, cumulative activities that are passed on from generation to generation. The main direction of our research is to consider the features of the representation of moral and ethical forms in spiritual culture. This message clearly examines the nature of artistic concept in spiritual culture and its relationship with rituals, which need to be studied from a conceptual point of view. As basic research material, we focus on the works of the ethnographer A. Seidimbek, as well as on the peculiarities of the representation of the concepts of “superstition” and “forbidden”, which form a cultural unity in the concepts of the Kazakh people. According to this goal, the study of the mentioned concepts in the scholar’s literary texts in the continuity of language and culture indicates their linguistic representation of the social life and spiritual culture of the nation. The fact that moral and ethical units are reflected in artistic and poetic texts as representatives of an artistic concept is formulated using methods of comparison, modeling and codification in an anthropocentric direction. The results of research work in this direction help to determine the purpose and significance of the system of traditions, rituals and customs in the culture of the people, how they are reflected in the thoughts, feelings and actions of a native speaker; the purpose and significance of traditions and lifestyles, moral and ethical norms (state) of property. It is assumed that, like general folk knowledge, superstition can beseen as a fusion of rational and irrational principles, as well as the result of a syncretic unity. Information about the nature of the connection between understanding the ethnic language and moral and ethical norms, the linguistic picture-image (picture) in rituals as a whole is divided into several layers, and also that the moral and ethical layers in these layers differ in chronological (diachronological) characteristics, which reflected in the words of rituals. Like popular knowledge, superstition is defined as the intersection of rational and irrational principles, as well as the result of syncretic unity. Mental ideas about a person in the cognitive space of ethnocultural names of the Kazakh language, Professor A. Seіdimbek determined that the works represent national and cultural characteristics. The representation of moral and ethical values as a spiritual treasure, a continuation of a person’s past life and present existence in the future is presented with evidence based on the works of A. Seіdimbek.

The need to be able to understand what other people convey is very important for humans as social beings. Humans communicate through words that have forms and meanings that contain ideas, intentions, or emotions. This research was written to find out the meaning in the form of an action of a word form, namely a dynamic verb when it is associated with the whole sentence. Dynamic verbs and their types that will be analyzed are taken from the popular series, Peaky Blinders Season 1 Episode 1 and Episode 2. The writer took thirty data to be the object of the analysis. The qualitative method is the method used in the preparation of this study based on Saeed (2016) who divides dynamic verbs into four types namely, durative-punctual and telic-atelic as the main theory. The findings were: three data were declared as durative-atelic with a percentage of 10%, ten data were declared as punctual-telic with a percentage of 33.3%, and seventeen data were declared as durative-telic with a percentage of 56.7%. There are three positions from the findings, namely durative-telic as the most type, punctual-telic in the middle position, and durative-atelic as the least.

This paper discusses the role of citizenship and political education in the contemporary society. It analyses the consequences of neoliberalism regarding its assault on the social sphere and its production of mass inequality around the world. We initiate the conversation by making education central to politics, culture as the key tool that helps us to analyze the meanings of citizenship. The privatization of citizenship narrows the debate around the role of the citizen, the public sphere and undermines democratic values. The goal of this research is to try and understand whether political education can reduce social inequality or not, and how the presence of an informed and politically engaged culture helps create the agents necessary for a substantive democracy. The chosen method enables the production of an international literature review with a systematic bibliographic search, exploring the meanings and scientific uses of the categories Political Education, Social Inequality, Citizenship and Democracy after many years under the neoliberalism hegemony around the globe. This research was conducted via the following databases: Google Scholar; Networked Digital Libraries of Theses and Dissertations (NDLTD); Education Research and Information Center (ERIC) and Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO). It includes papers written in English, Spanish and Portuguese which publishing dates range from 1999 to 2019. A total of 51 articles were selected to compose the analytic corpus (n=51). After reading all of the texts and making a content analysis, the results were presented in 3 categories: i - Citizenship education and political education: theories and practices (Conceptual approaches on citizenship and Students’ capacity for political or moral reasoning fostered by political education); ii - Politics, human rights & democratic values in education (Critical approaches of human rights or democratic values on higher education; Popular education or citizen participation on political education and Politics as a teaching or learning tool for formal education); iii - Relationships among State, citizens and civil society (Positive relationships in contemporary societies and Conflicts in adult education). Under neoliberalism, civic culture, democratic values and informed dialogue atrophied. Clearly, this is partly due to the dominant neoliberal view that social agency is dangerous and needs to be shaped by neoliberal forms of education. Under the reign of neoliberalism, there has emerged a pedagogical machinery of power engaged in producing a culture of manufactured ignorance that works to produce a form of political repression. However, as an alternative, many pieces of research are arguing that education must empower citizens to engage in their communities as a method to learn, engage in individual and collective action, and how to participate in political struggles and public affairs. Political education can be an important social movement against the inequalities. That seems to be crucial for building a direct and participative citizenship in our contemporary democracy.

The paper analyzes the generation gap in the Russian literature of the second part of 1850s. Our research is based on works published in magazines: short stories, novelettes, and novels by L. N. Tolstoy, E. P. Novikov, P. I. Melnikov-Pecherskii, S. T. Slavutinskii, S. A. Ladyzhenskii, N. M. Pavlov, etc. The generation gap in Russian literature of the second part of 1850s hasn’t yet been made an object of special research. It is traditionally touched upon in relation to the novel Fathers and Sons (1862) by I. S. Turgenev and fiction ‘generated’ by this novel. However, variants of 1850s and of 1860s differ from each other in significant ways: these variants linked by various ideas, heroes, plots and other. The paper features two variants of the generation gap formed in the Russian literature of the second part of 1850s: great-grandfather / grandfather versus children, fathers versus children. The paper contains a detailed analysis of characterology and plot functions of protagonists that collide with each other, as well as structural-semantic plot organization. First generation gap formed in the middle of 1850s. Short stories, novelettes, and novels have similar plot-composition structures: a story from the distant Russian past forms the plot core; as a rule, events take place in the 18th century (the so-called grandfather’s time); most often, the story is told by a servant of an old lord or is written down after his words; the audience of the story is meant to be from the middle of the 19th century; in some cases, he is also the narrator, a young man who compares generation values of the 18th and 19th centuries. The paper asserts that, in spite of the fact that events take place in the past, the generation are identified through the turn towards social processes of the second half of the 1850s, particularly the emancipation reform. Literature and criticism emphasize the arrival of the new educated follower of democratic reforms instead of the hot-tempered landowner of the old type. The type of the educated landowner gained prominence in 1850–1860s during the active discussion of the emancipation reform. The main narrative function of such protagonists is to prove the effectiveness of democratic theories in practice. At the core of the plot there is the conflict with the generation of fathers, the opponents of reform. We propose that the generation of children, as well as the generation of fathers, is needy: in spite of their education, the young men are shown to be petty and unable to act upon their words or understand the peasant way of life. The protagonists explain their lack of success by other reasons: the new generation was too hasty in their actions. In conclusion, we maintain that Russian literature reflects an important social process of second part of 1850s, namely the anticipation of a ‘new’ man able to act upon popular democratic theories. This type formed ex adverso: writers and critics show a kind of behavior that differs from that of great-grandfathers, grandfathers, or fathers. However, the problem of rearrangement of the social system is beyond the abilities of the ‘fifties’ protagonist’. Much as he differs from his ancestors, he remains their descendant. A demonstrative devotion to democratic theories does not negate his aristocratic privileges. As a result, the plot turns stemming from popular ideas do not work as expected in the end.

AbstractThis article analyses three examples of cigarette advertisements for the Camel brand published in the annual programs of the Ringling Bros, and Barnum & Bailey Circus: The Greatest Show on Earth® with aerialists Rose Gould in 1948, Antoinette Concello in 1950, and Norma Fox in 1951. It describes the acts of the three aerialists and considers the ways in which these particular program advertisements engage circus spectators with images of female aerialists doing extreme feats on the flying trapeze and then smoking after the act. If athletic circus performers could make smoking seem alluring, as both physically daring and socially adventurous, these advertisements reiterate how the act of smoking signals female emancipation and potentially also sexual availability (Tinkler 2006). This article explores the co‐option of images of health and glamour—the body's social surface. Simone Dennis (2006) argues that the action of smoking is a bodily experienced phenomenon, and these Camel cigarette advertisements can be said to surreptitiously align smoking with the felt bodily thrills of viewing the circus. The larger point is that responses to popular entertainment are not only about the targeted appeal of words and images but also a conjunction of these with a sensory body phenomenology. Purpose. The aim of the article is to analyse the Ukrainian labour market outlining the most popular vacancies and professions, determining the number of job applicants by region of Ukraine and the size of wages during martial law. Methodology of research. The theoretical and methodological basis of the research is the fundamental provisions of modern economic theory, the scientific works of leading scientists in the field of the labour market. The following methods were used to achieve a set of goals: description for identifying and characterizing approaches to identifying labour market problems in past periods; abstract and logical – for expressing one's own assumptions and forming conclusions; graphic for visual illustration of comparative phenomena. Findings. The negative consequences of military operations on the territory of Ukraine for people of working age are summarized, the number of potential vacancies in the past years and the period of searching for the desired position, which is an average of 6.2 months, are determined. Regions of the country with the largest number of vacancies for in-demand jobs and professions were singled out; the average salary in cities was investigated. It has been established that the largest percentage of dismissals occurs by agreement of the parties. It was determined that in order to overcome the consequences of unemployment, it is worth paying attention to the mechanism of implementing remote work, which is a new challenge of modern realities. Originality. The study of the Ukrainian labor market and negative trends in its condition as a result of military actions on the territory of the country has been further developed, which is manifested in an increase in the time it takes to find a job, mass migration of the working population, and the reluctance of young people to return to Ukraine before the end of martial law. Practical value. Implementation of the proposed practical recommendations for overcoming the negative consequences of military actions for persons of working age can be used in the development of programs for the social and economic development of territories, in strategic plans for the development of enterprises, organizations, and local self-government bodies. Key words: unemployment, vacancies, crisis, demand, workforce.
