A collection of mathematical theories and models make up queueing theory. The theory, which is derived from several models, makes an effort to recreate numerous typical queue waiting models. The purpose of this study is to do research on the M/M/1 queuing model-based queueing theory. After a brief introduction to the queuing theory, the independent indexes and the dependent variables will be shown. This paper contains some fundamental queuing theory formulas, some of which are specifically derived for the M/M/1 queuing model. This study then presents a simulation of the M/M/1 queuing model. Since some results are attained, this paper revealed some probability distributions and distribution functions of several indexes. The data characteristics displayed by these figures are very consistent with the daily life situation, which also proved the rationality and M/M/1 queuing model's applicability. By investigating this queuing theory, people shall be able to understand, analyze, and predict the phenomenon of waiting in a line.

Today’s businesses all strive to operate smoothly and efficiently in order to meet customer demandand provide the best possible service because of the intense competition. The queuing theory is crucial in this situation. Queueing models can assist businesses in understanding their performance in advance, enabling themto plan effectively for providing seamless and effective customer service as well as long-term sustainability. Businesses entice customers to sign up for the system by offering promotions and discounts. Customers wait even longer in queue to receive services as a result of incentives like discounts. An analysis is conducted on a finite Markovian single-server queuing model with encouraged arrivals, reneging, and retention of reneged customers. Iterative derivation is used to reach the model's steady state solution. Additionally, the queueing model's performance metrics are gathered. As unique example of this model, several significant queuing models are derived. In order to develop a cost model, a model's economic analysis is presented, and a discussion of numerical representation is also included.Customers are added when they are welcomed, which changes the way theybehave in a queueing system.

From what has been discussed above, the design of parallel virtual queuing, means that the passenger chooses the trains, the time, departures and terminals, seat types on TVM by blackening a ticket purchasing card. All the job off the TVM can be done by all the passengers all at once, which is equal to every passenger is being served at the counter (TVM), and thus the queuing time are greatly reduced in peak hours. Therefore, the queuing is equal to “Parallel Virtual Queuing”, and the equivalent queuing model is M/M/∞/∞/∞/FCFS.

In recent years, the use of consensus mechanism to maintain the security of blockchain system has become a considerable concern of the community. Delegated proof of stake (DPoS) and practical Byzantine fault tolerant (PBFT) consensus mechanisms are key technologies in maintaining the security of blockchain system. First, this study proposes a consensus mechanism combining DPoS and PBFT, which can rapidly deal with malicious witness nodes and shorten the time of block verification. Second, the M/PH/1 queuing model is used to analyze the performance of the proposed consensus mechanism, and the performance of the improved practical Byzantine fault tolerant consensus mechanism is evaluated from steady-state conditions and key performance measure of the system. Third, the current study uses the theoretical method of open (Jackson) queuing network, combined with the blockchain consensus process, and provides theoretical analysis with special cases. Lastly, this research utilizes numerical examples to verify the computability of the theoretical results. The analytic method is expected to open a series of potentially promising research in queueing theory of blockchain systems.

Queuing theory is the formal study of waiting in line and is an entire discipline in operations management. This article will give the reader a general background into queuing theory, its associated terminology, and it relationship to customer satisfaction. Queuing theory has been used in the past to assess such things as staff schedules, working environment, productivity, customer waiting time, and customer waiting environment. In pharmacy, queuing theory can be used to assess a multitude of factors such as prescription fill-time, patient waiting time, patient counseling-time, and staffing levels. The application of queuing theory may be of particular benefit in pharmacies with high-volume outpatient workloads and/or those that provide multiple points of service. By better understanding queuing theory, service managers can make decisions that increase the satisfaction of all relevant groups – customers, employees, and management.

This article mainly introduces M/M/1 queue and M/M/S queue applied in nucleic acid tests which are applications of Markov chains in queuing theory. Firstly, it is pointed that in the two kinds of queuing models, the arrival time and the service time have no aftereffect which means the two kinds of time both belong to the Markov chain, and it is also illustrated that the arrival time and the service time obey the Poisson distribution, which reflects the uniqueness and stability of the two types of queuing models. The distribution functions of waiting time, service time queue length and so on could be obtained by solving the models. Therefore, by comparing the advantages and disadvantages of different models, the managers could make better decisions which are helpful to allocate resources reasonably, avoid overcrowding and decrease the risk of virus transmission. Furthermore, some other queuing models which are in the more special cases and the innovations of many queuing models are also presented briefly. In the end, the applications of such queuing models in other fields are shown.

Our main concern is to improve the performance of multi-stage exible ow shop production. Besides, this work aims to help managers in improving their effeciency and effectiveness, and in selecting a joint inspection, being the most suitable policy for minimizing inspection and queueing related costs. We adopt an analytical approach based on real-life data from a Kach company that produces disposable appliances. Queuing analysis reported in this work provides a basis for estimating and analyzing production systems by measures such as utilization, the percentage of the idle workstation, number of batches in the system, number of batches in the queue, expected time spent in the queue, and expected time spent in the system. The results indicate the performance of the company in relation to inspection and expected time.

This article is devoted to the derivation of results for the average delay of requests in the queue for a queuing system formed by two flows with the laws of interval distributions in the form of second-order hyperexponential and Erlang distributions shifted to the right. In queuing theory, studies of G/G/1 systems are relevant due to the fact that there is no solution in the final form for the general case. Therefore, in the study of such systems, various particular distribution laws are used as an arbitrary distribution law for G. In this case, the use of the hyperexponential distribution law ensures the coefficient of variation of the input flow intervals is large units, and the Erlang distribution is less than one. To solve the problem posed, the method of spectral decomposition of the solution of the integral Lindley equation was used, which plays an important role in the queueing theory. This method made it possible to obtain a solution for the average delay of requests in the queue for the system under consideration in a closed form. As is known, the remaining characteristics of the queuing system are derived from the average delay of requests.

Waiting lines or queues are commonly occurred both in everyday life and in a variety of business and industrial situations. The various arrival rates, service rates and processing times of jobs/tasks usually assumed are exact. However, the real world is complex and the complexity is due to the uncertainty. The queuing theory by using vague environment is described in this paper. To illustrate, the approach analytical results for M/M/1/8 and M/M/s/8 systems are presented. It optimizes queuing models such that the arrival rate and service rate are vague numbers. This paper results a new approach for queuing models in the vague environment that it can be more effective than deterministic queuing models. A numerical example is illustrated to check the validity of the proposed method.

Customers are compelled to queue when a service system is at its busiest. This issue not only reduces customer pleasure, but it also causes the company to lose money. For consumer losses, this study proposes a queue model of customer queuing behavior. The goal is to reduce customer losses, hence researchers are looking at queue setup and optimization in random service systems. We developed three queuing models: MG1, GM1, and GG1 for estimating service quality control. We investigate queuing systems for predicting replies for service quality control based on queue models of customer behavior. The study found that the MG1 queue model yields the best service quality, however the GM1 and GG1 results are relatively close behind.

Load balancing is the process of distributing a workload among various servers. Queuing is the most common scenario for day-to-day applications. Queuing theory is used to study the problem of waiting lines. Queuing theory bridges the gap between service demands and the delay in replies given to users. The proposed QPSL Queuing Model makes use of M/M/k queue with FIFO queue discipline for load balancing in cloud computing. The model makes use of exponential distribution for calculating service rates and Poisson distribution for calculating waiting lines. The proposed QPSL queuing model is also compared with other existing queuing models for load balancing on various parameters. The experimental analysis depicts that QPSL model performed better in terms of service rate and response time.

Bank XYZ is one of the largest state-owned banks in Indonesia that provides various financial services. Currently Bank XYZ has 3 teller services only. This study aims to determine the use of customer queuing schemes currently used in XYZ bank teller services. The data processed is the arrival of customers who transact at the teller area of Bank XYZ. This study uses the Queuing Theory method with the M / M / S (Multiple Channel Single Phase) model and also uses FlexSim software. Then analyze with the addition of the number of tellers (services). Finally, a comparison is made between manual and software calculation methods. Based on the results of the data analysis, the optimal improvement in the application of the queuing system is to add 1 teller service to 4 teller services. The improvement in the performance of the queuing system is characterized by a reduction in the number of customers in line at peak hours 10.00 - 11.00 which initially amounted to 11 people reduced to 3 people and the average waiting time of customers in the queue from 10.08 minutes to 4.02 minutes. Therefore, optimal queuing system performance can be ensured by increasing the number of tellers to four.

Bed resources are the platform in which most medical and health resources in the hospital play a role and carry the core functions of the health service system. How to improve the efficiency of the use of bed resources through scientific management measures and methods and ultimately achieve the optimization of overall health resources is the focus of hospital management teams. This paper analyzes the previous research models of knowledge related to queuing theory in medical services. From the perspective of the hospital and the patient, several indicators such as the average total number of people, the utilization rate of bed resources, the patient stop rate, and the patient average waiting time are defined to measure the performance of the triage queue calling model, which makes the patient queue more reasonable. According to the actual task requirements of a hospital, a Markov queuing strategy based on Markov service is proposed. A mathematical queuing model is constructed, and the process of solving steady-state probability based on Markov theory is analyzed. Through the comparative analysis of simulation experiments, the advantages and disadvantages of the service Markov queuing model and the applicable scope are obtained. Based on the theory of the queuing method, a queuing network model of bed resource allocation is established in principle. Experimental results show that the queuing strategy of bed resource allocation based on Markov optimization effectively improves resource utilization and patient satisfaction and can well meet the individual needs of different patients. It does not only provide specific optimization measures for the object of empirical research but also provides a reference for the development of hospital bed resource allocation in theory.

In this paper, we obtained a spectral expansion of the solution to the Lindley integral equation for a queuing system with a shifted Erlang input flow of customers and a hyper-Erlang distribution of the service time. On its basis, a calculation formula is derived for the average waiting time in the queue for this system in a closed form. As you know, all other characteristics of the queuing system are derivatives of the average waiting time. The resulting calculation formula complements and expands the well-known unfinished formula for the average waiting time in queue in queuing theory for G/G/1 systems. In the theory of queuing, studies of private systems of the G/G/1 type are relevant due to the fact that they are actively used in the modern theory of teletraffic, as well as in the design and modeling of various data transmission systems.

Queuing theory is a formal mathematical model of late response arrival of customer waiting in various access services, accepting processes management as a whole field. Often multiple server sorting can be used to estimate the number of servers and service rates be high due too lacking of time, with an average delay sequence in the analysis. Using these sequence models to read more than one sequence during execution approximates system sorting performance. To resolve this problem we modulated the distributed process into Virtualized Target Queuing Balanced Model (VTQBM) using Vmax/M/G-Load (Min)/Cache-P2λM for reducing queuing time expectation of customer delay tolerance. The Virtual Resource queuing System is optimized with fork-join queue by creating single to multimodal service performance using target request load balancer in a shared distribution mode. Sorting the request buffer cache is created based on Customer Request Arrival Rate (CRAR) and resource output preferred to check with target rule waiting in the Load balancer. To improve the use of model complex virtual resource sharing shared with customer arrival to Cache Target Load Allocator (CTLA) on queuing distributed resources, This fork joiner target the service performance to reduce the customer waiting time in queuing and produce outputs can achieve a different parameter input transformation on queuing theory.

The study of preemptive scheduling is essential to computer systems [15, 12, 3, 4]. Motivated by this, decades of queueing theory research have been done on the subject [19, 18, 16, 13, 21, 8, 17, 2, 11, 20, 10, 1]. However, almost all queuing theoretic literature on preemptive scheduling concerns systems without switching overhead - pausing or resuming a job is assumed to be instant. Practically speaking, switching in computer systems incurs some overhead [14], which causes a divide between models in research and the real world.

In this paper, the use of the construction of random processes on graphs allows us to expand the models of the theory of queuing and reliability by constructing. These problems are important because the emphasis on the legal component largely determines functioning of these models. The considered models are reliability and queuing. Reliability models arranged according to the modular principle and reliability networks in the form of planar graphs. The queuing models considered here are queuing networks with multi server nodes and failures, changing the parameters of the queuing system in a random environment with absorbing states, and the process of growth of a random network. This is determined by the possibility of using, as traditional probability methods, mathematical logic theorems, geometric images of a queuing network, dual graphs to planar graphs, and a solution to the Dirichlet problem.

Queuing theory is used to develop recommendations for constructing queuing systems efficiently, organizing the associated operations and functionalities, and regulating request flows for optimal performance. This paper presents a study of the income functional for two specific cases of controlled queuing systems: the M/G*/1/N* system for a controlled service duration and number of waiting spaces, and the G*/M/n/m queuing system with a controlled arrival flow. The construction of a controlled semi-Markov process and the construction of an income functional on its trajectories were used as the basis for this study. The task is to find the optimal control strategy in the given queuing systems. An algorithm for finding optimal strategies applicable to similar queuing systems to increase their functioning efficiency when controlling the system’s main characteristics was developed for both systems.

The classical queuing theory studies time series processing under the assumption of sampling independence. However, the traffic of modern multiservice networks is usually strongly correlated and the methods of classical theory do not work. In this paper, we consider the cyclic process of queuing, conditional and unconditional mutual correlations. Conditional average values of queues are considered. The concept of processing power of the flow of applications in queuing systems (QS) is introduced. It is shown that the variable component of the indicated power is determined by the change in the load factor and corresponds to the conditional average size of the queue of applications in the QS.

Queuing theory is the mathematics of waiting lines. It is extremely useful in predicting and evaluating system performance. Queuing theory has been used for operations research, manufacturing and systems analysis The common problem arises in almost every famous dhaba is that they lose their customers due to a long wait on the line. Some dhaba provide extra chair for the customer to wait. But after waiting too long they leave. However, waiting chairs alone would not solve a problem when customers withdraw and go to the next dhaba. This causes a lot of loss to our dhaba. This shows a need of a numerical model for the restaurant management to understand the situation better. This paper aims to show that queuing theory satisfies the model when tested with a real-case scenario. Authors obtained the data from a “Gulshan Dhaba” in Hodal, Haryana. in order to derive the arrival rate, service rate, utilization rate, waiting time in queue and the probability of potential customers to balk. The collected data is analysed by using Little’s Theorem and M/M/1 queuing model. The arrival rate at “Gulshan Dhaba”, Hodal during its busiest period of the day is 2 customers per minute (cpm) while the service rate is 2.02 cpm during our study period. The average number of customers in the restaurant is 100 and the utilization period is 0.99.
