This article classifies some of the poems in the “Gulshani Dilafgor” collection. Most of the poet’s poems are in sync with the lyrical works of poets such as Furqat, Muqimi, Hamza, Khislat, Kami, imbued with the ideas of nationalism and enlightenment. The classification of lyrical poems in the collection of the poet “Gulshani Dilafgor” shows that Dilafgor could not avoid the themes that accompanied the poets in Uzbek classical poetry. He, too, relied on the progressive ideas of his time in continuing the traditions of his predecessors.

Kostas Karyotakis (1896-1928) is one of the most important Modern Greek poets. His poetry not only influenced several other poets, but it also attracted critics’ interest. Former critics dealt with Karyotakis’ poetry and spoke about the relation between life and work in his poems. Nevertheless, they did not analyse extensively certain poems, which reflect clearly the poet’s personal experience. In addition, other critics attempted to analyse and see Karyotakis’ poems as independent entities, isolated from the poet’s life. While the results of such an approach were interesting, indeed, in fact they do not show the real meaning of the poems. Although such theories are useful and productive, when reading poets who made their life an important part of their poetry, biography is a key element for the interpretation of their works; thus a New Historicism approach is preferred. My purpose in this paper is to show the close relation between life and work in Karyotakis’ poetry through a parallel focus on life and poetry. Going beyond the results of previous critique, I intend to show how Karyotakis’ poetry alludes to his personal experience.

Nazire; It is a poet’s rewriting of another poet’s poem by using elements such as measure, rhyme, and content. The artist has the opportunity to show himself better by improving himself in the production process, which he starts by imitating. For this reason, nazireism played an important role in the upbringing, self-development and mastery of poets. The first reflections of the Nazire tradition were seen in classical literature, and then nazire was also used by folk literature poets. Nazires provided intercultural interaction by being written on works written in different languages as well as on works written in the same language. In this study; it is aimed to reveal the reflections of the nazire tradition, which is one of the most important elements of the relationship between classical literature and folk literature. In this direction, some related examples of nazires in classical and folk literature have been identified. Admiration and imitation were influential on the basis of folk poets writing nazires for classical poets. The nazires written by folk poets to classical poets are an example that increases the common points of the two literatures. It is known that folk poets wrote nazires to each other, except for the nazires written by poets of classical literature. It has been seen that the poems written by the folk poets in nazire are also the works that are admired and arranged in the classical poetry tradition.

In the dynasty of the Ottoman sultans (1299–1922), there was a great interest in the personality and heritage of the poet Alisher Navai (1441-1501). This interest, which arose during the poet’s lifetime, still exists today. The article highlights the imitation and follow-up of Ottoman poets to Navai’s poems. We are talking about the influence of Uzbek classical literature and especially the heritage of the Navai on the literature of the Ottoman dynasty. Ottoman poets imitated Nawai’s Hamsa poems and, as a result, created their own versions of the Nawai poems. They wrote poetry in Ottoman and Persian. In addition, they created poems in the Old Uzbek (Turkic) language. At the same time, imitation of the creativity of the heritage of Alisher Nawai played a big role.

Inclination toward using code is one of the manifestations of modernism in the contemporary poetry to which poets, especially poets of literature of resistance are inclined, in order to decorate their words and make them ambiguous so that the reader has to probe deep into his mind in order to get the poet’s intended meaning. Fadava Toghan is one of the poets’ of literature of resistance who utilizes code in her literature. Toghan uses code and code illustrations in most of her poems, especially those about her country and issues of Palestine. Romanticism is an important branch of the literary genre, and imagination is an important feature of it. From different historical backgrounds, Both British poets and Chinese have each profound insight into the imagination in their romantic poetry creations. Samuel Taylor Coleridge, as a pioneer of English Romantic poetry, his dream fragment Kublai Khan established an unshakable position in the poet's literary circle, while Li Bai was a well-known romantic poet in the prosperous Tang Dynasty. His representative work, Mount Skyland ascended in a Dream-A Song of Farewell, shocked the entire Chinese poetry circle as soon as it came out. This essay analyzes the poets' poetic thoughts on imagination by studying the different backgrounds of the two poets, the cultural traditions they contacted, and the philosophical thoughts they infected and meanwhile compares and analyzes the image characteristics of the two poets' representative works to explore the concrete expression of the poet's imagination in the poems. It is found that there are similarities and differences spatially and emotionally in terms of imagery. Moreover, the imagination in romantic poetry not only creates a series of illusory images and casts a phantom veil on the whole poem but also insinuates the poet's poetic thought and inner emotional appeal.

The Iraqi poet Ra’ad Abdul-Qadir (1953 - 2003) One of the most important poets who paid attention to the small details in their poems, and this study reveals to us the poet’s relationship with the details of reality and contains aspects of what is expected of him and marginalized in life, and is combined with a keen cultural structure.

Ottoman poet biographies, whose main purpose is to provide information about the lives, arts and works of poets, are among the most important sources of classical Turkish literature with their examples written more than once in every century from the 16th century to the XX century. The poets, whose biographies give information about their lives, are composed of people who have undertaken different duties belonging to different layers of the Ottoman social structure. After all, the most important point that brings together the biographies of these people, who have serious differences in status, is that they are poets. For the biographies of poets belonging to different strata, the tadhkirah definitely refers to the sources. These sources can be the poet himself, a close friend, another poet’s biographies or a history book, or the author himself. Historical poems written by poets on various occasions over the centuries are also one of the written sources used by tadhkirahs. An important part of the poets in the biographies, using this systematic called abjad calculation and created by assigning numerical values to Arabic letters, they make history on the success of the sultans, the conquests of cities, an important natural event, and even the death of a book they have finished. However, besides the poets, it is seen that the authors of tadhkirahs also write down history with an approach that puts the poets in the center. These dates, which were dropped, give them the identity of a pastor, in the words of the tadhkirahs. It is not because they wrote a history book that is meant by their identity as a pastor; it is the poets’ reduction of dates on some important issues in their lives, which are based on the abjad calculation and written in verse. Within the tradition of Ottoman tadhkirah writing, many tadhkirah writers have dropped dates about the poets they mentioned in their works. In this study, information has been given from the authors of tadhkirahs, who have included history poems in their biographies, and in what ways these dates have contributed to the science of history and literature.

Du, Plessis Jeanne Catherine. "Poetry portfolio : Things I’ll never say and Mini-dissertation : The fragmented self : female identity in personal poetry, with particular reference to selected poems by Anne Sexton, Antjie Krog and Finuala Dowling". This mini-dissertation examines selected poems by three female poets who deal with what I have termed ‘the personal’ in relation to specifically female concerns in their poetry, namely Anne Sexton, Antjie Krog and Finuala Dowling. There has been a considerable rise in personal and autobiographical writing in the last few decades, and this trend shows no sign of decreasing. This kind of writing has provoked much heated debate, both regarding its content and its style(s). Many critics and poets, such as Robert Lowell or James Dickey, disapprove of the frankness with which female poets discuss subjects which are specific to women, and consider the poems to be too graphic or crude. Personal poems which are not graphic are also criticised as being boring, irrelevant or lacking in artistic craft. Those in favour of poetry of the personal, such as Collette Inez and Alicia Ostriker, believe that contemporary poets’ freedom to examine any topic they like is a positive development. Instead of considering these poems to be irrelevant to readers, they believe that personal poetry can be a means for both writers and readers to explore identity and to navigate various female roles. This mini-dissertation argues in defence of personal poetry, and addresses the common criticisms of this type of writing briefly mentioned above. It highlights women’s issues and questions of female identity throughout. The different ways in which female writers approach personal poetry are also examined, and the mini-dissertation compares the controversial aspects of Sexton’s writing with Krog’s candour and Dowling’s understated humour. Through close textual analysis, the mini-dissertation highlights both similarities and differences in the work of these poets, in support of the value of such poetry for both readers and writers. The mini-dissertation is accompanied by a portfolio of my own creative work. My poems also fit into the category of female poetry of the personal, so while I do not directly discuss my own work in the mini-dissertation, the portfolio and mini-dissertation are thematically linked.

Even though many scholars believe that often verses were copied groups according to theme, careful consideration shows that verses that have been tradionally seen as related by theme have a stronger connection. The context of the peom can reveal a great deal about the intention of the author and the situation about which the author wrote.

The paper is devoted to the problem of imitation of maps in the late Renaissance Polish poetry (between 1580 and 1630). The author first discusses the special interest in cartography that existed among the Polish elite and poets of the period. The main thesis of the paper is that poets widely used map-based techniques in constructing their poems. Imitation (imitatio) played a crucial role in this process. To illustrate this concept, the author analyses the work of five poets: S.F. Klonowic, K. Miaskowski, S. Petrycy, M.K. Sarbiewski and Sz. Szymonowic. Looking at the shared topoi used in poems and maps and investigating how the late Renaissance poets described the territory of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, allows the author to draw a similarity between controlling space in poetry and maps. This suggests the idea of ruling over space might be related to the 16th-century idea of a God-like poet.

Abstract ‘Expert Poets’ discusses the poets Homer and Hesiod. These epic poets helped shape intellectual agendas and were revered for their ideas on many topics, including astronomy and meteorology. The chapter describes the poems ascribed to Homer and Hesiod, which were the focus of commentaries by various later ancient authors. The Homeric Iliad is concerned with the Trojan War, while the Odyssey recounts the travels of Odysseus, one of the heroes of the Iliad. Even though the natural world was not the focus, the poet does provide a sense of how some phenomena, as well as health and disease, were understood. Hesiod’s Theogony describes the world and its coming-to-be. The large number of references to these poems by later ancient Greek and Roman authors—even in prose works on specialized, technical subjects—indicates that the epic poets had great intellectual impact, even on topics for which we would not normally expect poets to be experts.

This chapter evaluates two renowned poets: one, Archilochus, who lived in the early Archaic age of Greece, and the other, Pindar, who lived at its close and on into the time we call Classical. Their audiences and their modes of performance may have differed, but the two poets spoke the same essential language, and that language included nonverbal communication. Some fragments of Archilochus's poems preserve evocative words or phrases whose articulation seems to need an attendant gesture. In creating a character who expressed himself vividly, Archilochus can hardly have failed to use his head and hands to accentuate words or pictures as he recited his poems. If there is a question as to who exactly performed the odes that Pindar composed, whether it was the poet himself or a chorus-leader or selected members of a chorus, the sort of gesture that was needed to make sense of two “incomplete” conditional sentences was easy to do.

The article deals with the translations of Sergey Esenin’s works into Georgian. Georgian poets-translators have repeatedly turned to the work of the poet since the 20s of the 20th century. Esenin’s work has always been of great interest not only to Georgian poets-translators but also to Georgian readers. Translation activity began in Georgia in 1924 by Konstantin Chichinadze from the translation of the poem “Comrade.” It began to be actively continued by Mikheil Pataridze. In 1926 a collection of Esenin’s poems was published as a separate book, which combined 15 poems by the poet, in 1927 — a separate edition of the poem “Anna Snegina” (in translation by Grigola Tsetskhladze). By the end of 1956, the translation of the poem was published in two periodicals at once (“Mnatobi,” “Talga”). Both versions were made by the Georgian poet and translator Giorgi Salukvadze. Fortunately, another edition of the poem “Anna Snegina” was found in the collection of poems and poems, dated 1969 (Batumi “Sabchota Adjara”). All works are translated by Giorgi Salukvadze. In 1981 translations of Esenin’s poems were published in the literary and social magazine “Chorokhi.” In 1984 a collection of the poet’s poems was published in Batumi (Batumi “Sabchota Adjara”). The translator of both editions is Salukvadze.

This chapter considers what it meant to call someone a poet in sixteenth-century Portugal. Drawing on word historical and sociological methods, the chapter focuses on the word poeta (poet) as it appears in the poetry of the period. Many writers sought to articulate the specialness of the poeta and their art, making distinctions between poetas and mere versifiers or those who were dismissed as writing only frivolous or slanderous verse. In a bid to legitimize a particular kind of poetry as valuable, writers compared the work of poets with that of other professionals such as lawyers, doctors, and builders. These moments of self-justification are taken here as versions of what has become known in sociology as ‘professional legitimization talk’. Horace emerges as an important figure in these discussions for modelling in his Ars poetica a kind of professional ethos that enables writers to regulate who belonged among the ranks of poetas and who did not. Horatian guidelines become in the period less extracts of an instruction manual and more of an oath of professional conduct.

The article is devoted to the problem of continuity of Parnassianism in the oeuvre of poets of the first wave of emigration and it is based on material of an analysis of three poems by V. Khodasevich, G. Ivanov and Yu. Terapiano. The poetic controversy between Khodasevich and G. Ivanov in the early 1920s revolved around different views on the role of the poet in difficult historical times, as well as around the dispute about where art comes from, from above or from the soul of the poet. Ideas close to the views of G. Ivanov stemmed from the views of his teacher N. Gumilev, expressed in his article about Theophile Gautier. Already in the 1930s, the same ideas resonated in the work of Yu. Terapiano. He creates a cycle of poems “French Poets”. The Parnassian poet Leconte de Lisle in his poem subordinates the feelings and the world around him in difficult times when “there is no support”.

Within the Turkish state tradition, the majority of Turkish Khans are also poets. It is known that some of them even had a divan or had enough poems to form a divan. These khans, as well as being poets themselves, gathered artists around them during their time, protected them and rewarded them in various ways for the poems they wrote. Babur is one of the important Turkish khans who bears this title. The ruler who owns a divan is one of the poets. In his memoirs (Vekayi/Babürname), he mentioned the names of some poets around him or in the places he was in and shared his thoughts about them, their poems and their poetry. Especially Ali Şir Nevayî has an important place in his artistic life.

The Arabic poem remained on a unified approach for long periods, and its mold was set by a group of paternal poets who were classified in the first class among critics, and Imru’ al-Qais, Zuhair, and al-Nabigha al-Dhubiani came in the forefront. With these ancestors, the Arabic poem became a model to be followed by those who came after them, and they even began to adhere to the same approach as a custom that should be followed. So the poem had to start by standing on the ruins, and then move on to depicting the different factors that arouse the poet’s approval. Finally, he ends with the main theme of his poem, whatever its purpose. But the oath that sparked great controversy later and voices rose among poets to leave it and depart from it is the beginning of the poem, or what is known as "standing on the ruins." In fact, the phenomenon of the introduction to the poem arose related to the environment and the type of civilization in it, and it remained connected to it and developed with it. These introductions were not an artistic tradition devoid of feelings and ideas, but rather constituted a methodology that carried the poets' emotions, their memories, and the events that passed through them. The development in the forms of these introductions, or the invention of other new forms, is due to the development of environmental factors and social life. Which requires modifying these introductions to keep pace with the new intellectual contents in their stylistics. In the past, the poem was a description of the ruins and the animals, a description of the horse, the camel, the arduous journey, and the description of the desert with its fears. As for the poets of the following eras, they changed - even if it was a little - in the readings of their poems, and most of their poems were not standing on ruins and describing the lost. On the contrary, a description of amusement, promiscuity, leisure life, and wine appeared in the Abbasid poetry, because they lived in a new environment. The son of Baghdad could not describe the arduous journey, the desert, and the animals that he did not see, because he was the son of a new environment, and every person starts from his environment. This research aims to shed light on the modernization that took place in the beginning of the Arabic poem, especially in the Abbasid era, specifically Abu Nawas's revolution against the old style

Poetry flowed from the tongue of the Arab poets in a natural flow in the early days of his era, and it preceded its cradle in the pre-Islamic era, and accordingly the saliqa and innate nature took place. Classical Arabic in which he produced his poetry, in rules and linguistic laws, and by analogy with them, his poetry will be studied in meaning and structure, and that he will be mistaken in saying this, and the linguist will seek to find linguistic ways to penetrate the poet into the Arab rule that was made by the grammatical extrapolation. Hence the term poetic necessity, which is to find a nice linguistic way out because the poet's statement is not inconsistent with the made linguistic rule. There was a lot of disagreement between the grammarians on this subject. The problem of the research is manifested in the permissibility of using the poetic necessities of the contemporary poet who lives in our time, or the impermissibility of that, and he wonders: Is it permissible for the contemporary poet to use the poetic necessities that the ancients used? And how much is permissible to use it? Does he use it consciously and intentionally, compared to the ancients, or are they linguistic errors that he falls into without being aware of them? The research is theoretical and applied on two collections of poetry by two contemporary Arab poets who live in a nonArab spatial and linguistic environment (Turkey), namely Ayman al-Jabali and Khaled alMuhaimid. The study relied on the descriptive approach, which describes some of the poetic necessities used by the ancients, and which were mentioned by specialized sources and references. The importance of the research lies in its problem and topic, and the conclusions drawn from the research are presented at the end

Then Believing in the need of our Arab heritage for a second reading that shows its creativity and originality, we chose Jamil Buthaina, who is considered one of the most important poets of virgin Spinning in the Umayyad era, where his name was associated with the name of his beloved. The Arab in general and beautiful poetry in particular. We notice the dominance of time over Arab poetry and the poets’ gaze. The research is divided into several axes:. - Time in Arabic poetry: which we talked about about the element of time in poetry as it is one of the elements of forming the dramatic structure of the poetic text, and that time is associated with poets even in the poetry industry itself in time. - Time in the virginal spinning poetry We talked about the poets’ view of time and considering it responsible for everything that befalls the poet and for the separation of the beloved and the sadness. Time in jamil poetry Buthaina: In this axis we studied time in beautiful poetry, which he highlighted through dialogue. Beautiful poetry is based on dialogue that shows the life of poetry with its lover, its previous and current status, and its complaint about time. In conclusion, we hope that we have succeeded in presenting an adequate summary of our subject, and that it will be in the service of our Arabic literature and the service of scholars

In this paper, we examine an innovative postal export regime that involvesboth a streamlining of export procedures and provision of intermediation services to investigate how firms' react to changing trade costs and whether and how these firms learn. In so doing, we use a unique dataset that consists of the entire universe of Peru's export transactions over the period 1999-2014 including both regular shipments and postal shipments. We find that the new export mode has been associated with increased and more diversified regional exports, higher entry and exit rates, more export experimentation, and learning both within and across firms.
