Abstract: The debate about "new" ruralities calls attention to the other functions, meanings and destinations of rural spaces now seen not only as the place for agricultural production, but carrying traditions and a natural richness that must be preserved. In that sense family farming is evoked as potentially more diversified, less dangerous to the natural balance and more prone to keep a rural atmosphere compatible with the image of the countryside seeked by urban people. In the Brazilian context we believe that such debate must be permeated by the analyses of how differentiated processes of land distribution and economic development and the resulting kind of agriculture generate specific ruralities with characteristics such as, in the case of family farming, the maintenance of social and work practices marked by the relations among relatives and neighbours present in a interrelation society. This work follows that path, analyzing family agriculture in Ouro Fino - MG through the study of one of its many rural neighbourhoods and using the agrarian systems analyses as basic methodology. To know who the family farmers are, what are their activities, what area they occupy, what projects and hopes they keep for the future and for their children can help clarify the kind of rurality a specific reality creates and what potential it has to attract other economic activities distinct and complementary to agriculture. Corroborating with authors that defend the existence of points of continuity and rupture between family agriculture and peasantry the research here presented examines the way in which the peasant heritage persists in the context of a modern family agriculture totally integrated in the market economy. It is this continuity with the peasant heritage that allows the permanence and the preservation of a diversified and attractive environment and assures the persistence of solidarity bonds found in work and social relations among local inhabitants and neighbour communities

Texto completo da fonteIn the Ouro Fino region, southwestern Minas Gerais state, a Proterozoic metavolcanosedimentary sequence was individualized along a belt of approximately EW orientation and with average width of about 6.5 km, Lithostratigraphically it is characterized by 9 units which were grouped, from base to top, into four main sequences: lower gneissic sequence (tonalitic biotite gneisses unit); schist-quartzitic sequence (platy quartzites and quartzofeldspathic biotite schists unit); intermeadiate gneissic sequence (banded gneisses unit); and gneissic-quartzitic sequence (quartz-rich biotite gneisses, hornblende-biotite augen gneisses, muscovite-quartz-biotite schists; muscovite quartzites and amphibolites with calc-silicatic gneisses units). Based on the lithostratigraphic correlation and regional field work, the equivalence and physical continuity of this metavolcanosedimentary sequence with the Andrelândia Group (from the homonymous region) can be established. A pre-tectonic orthogneissic unit, intrusive into the Andrêlandia Group, occurs as tabular, concordant bodies and generally with large lateral extension. This unit, informally named as Taguar granite-gneisses, consists of ferrohastingsite-pyroxene granites, biotite-ferrohastingsite granite-granodiorites, and ferrohastingsite-biotite granites, all of them gneissic and magnetite-bearing. The Andrelândia Group sequences and the Taguar granite-gneisses were deformed by 5 superposed folding phases. The first phase (\'D IND.1\') has a reliquiar \'S IND.1\' tectonic foliation preserved, but folding related to this phase has not been found and its orientation and tectonic vergence are unknown. The structural organization of the Andrelândia Group is controlled by folding nappes attributed to the second phase (\'D IND. 2\'), with N55E-S55W oriented linear elements indicating a tectonic transport towards about N35W. These two phases were developed under middle-amphibolite facies conditions (first isograd of sillimanite). Normal synforms and antiforms, open to tight, showed by the main foliation of the Andrelândia Group units and by their contacts, correspond to the superposed late \'D IND. 3\', \'D IND. 4\' and \'D IND.5\' phases, which are oriented NE-SW, WNW-ESE and NNE-SSW, respectively. The \'D IND. 3\' phase of the Andrelândia Group corresponds to the \'D IND. 1\' phase of the Eleutério-Pouso Alegre Formation metasediments and was developed under greenschist facies condition. Linear shear zones had a coeval development to some of these folding phases. Three main isopic zones, elongated along an ENE direction, are characterized in the Alto Rio Grande Belt, based on the regional lithostratigraphic analyses of the Andrelândia Group and correlates. These zones are named, from the external to the internal portions of the belt, as São João del Rei, Andrelândia, and Itapira groups. Each of these zones have several evolutionary stages (from rifting to platformal sedimentation to flysch-volcanic stage), some of them with paleogeographic reference to the \"São Francisco\" paleocontinent while others to internal portions of the belt. Besides individual differences between equivalent stages, a diachronism in the establishment and development of the three isopic zones is recognized. The existing geochronological data for the Andrelândia Group units, their basement and the Taguar granite-gneisses suggest that the Alto Rio Grande Belt is of Middle-Proterozoic age. The lower and upper limits for the paleogeographic establishment and development, are considered the 1,900 - 1,800 Ma and 1,500 - 1,400 Ma intervals, respectively. The first tectonic event, responsible for the \'S IND. 1\' foliation and probable paleogeographic inversions, should have occurred at about 1,400 Ma ago. For the second tectonic event, responsible for the main structural organization of the Alto Rio Grande Belt and its underthrusting beneath the terrains of the Socorro-Guaxupé Thrust Nappe, the available data is inconclusive suggesting either 1,200 - 1,000 Ma or 850 - 800 Ma age intervals. The late-tectonic events have a well defined 550 - 500 Ma interval upper limit.

The Cocal and Ouro Fino deposits are comprised of a system of structurally controlled gold bearing quartz veins situated in the footwall and hangingwall respectively of the Rio Maranhão Fault. These deposits are hosted by the metamorphosed sediments of the Paranoá e Serra da Mesa Groups. These Groups are an important part of the Brasília Belt colisional accretionary orogen of the Tocantins Province and formed progressively in the concluding stages of the Brasiliano Orogeny. Rock types identified within the area are schists, phyllites, quartzites and carbonates with the first three hosting the mineralised system. These rocks were metamorphosed to greenschist facies , chlorite and biotite zones. The gold bearing quartz veins have been worked since the 18th Century and some areas are still being worked by informal miners (‘Garimpeiros’). Several Mining Companies have conducted exploration work within the area and have reported grades of up to 45 grams/Tonne of gold. Three principal phases of deformation have been identified in the deposits studied. The first phase was a compressive event in an E-W direction developed in a principally ductile lithosphere and generating the S1 foliation with a regional and pervasive character and generating veinlets of quartz-carbonate, gold mineralisation in low angle shear zones, isoclinal folds, flattening and stretching in coaxial or non-coaxial regimes. A second phase of deformation under brittleductile lithosperic conditions generated extensional fractures which host veins of gold bearing quartz (±carbonate), and also reactivated older structures. A third phase of brittle deformation generated fractures and faults, some quite deep, and intruded by basic magnetic dykes. Three principal families of quartz (± carbonate) veins and veinlets have been identified. The first family is syn-tectonic with S1 deformation and is locally gold bearing and is designated as Syn-tectectonic Veining (VST). A system made up of two vein families with gold mineralisation is associated with the generation of extensional fractures during the second phase of deformation, and is denominated as Late Tectonic Veining VTT1 (Cocal) and VTT2 (Ouro Fino). In the Cocal Deposit gold occurs free and/or as inclusions in masses or within subhedral crystals of pyrite and with silver contents from 4.87 to 17.69%. Hydrothermal alteration has resulted in enrichment of the rocks in Si. (quartz), Ca. (carbonates), K. (micas), B. (tourmalines), S. (sulphides), Fe. (pyrite, magnetite), gold and silver. Preliminary isotope geochemistry of carbon, oxygen and sulphur from the Cocal Deposit seems to exclude the possibility that mineralising fluids originated in the lower crust (or mantle) or from organic carbon in sediments and suggest the fluids originated in the upper crust and especifially from chemical sediments (marine limestones). The regional concentration of gold mineralisation within the Paranoá and Serra da Mesa Groups along the trace of the Rio Maranhão Fault allows the definition of an Orogenic Gold Belt at least in the northern part of the Brasília Belt. The Cocal and Ouro Fino deposits show lithological and structural controls which allow them to be classed as Orogenic Gold Deposits as described by Mitchell & Garson (1981) and Groves et al. (1998).

Texto completo da fonteThis work aims to study the three landscapes in Arraial de Ouro Fino - which originated with the cycle of mining in Goiás, in the middle of the eighteenth century, and collapsed in the final half of the twentieth century - observing the Archaeological Landscape, linking it to how far we have the village: the urban landscape, and rescue the collective memory of people: the Landscape of Memory. These people had a closer and intimate relationship with the village, and kept in their unconscious vivid images of a past that continues to come to the surface and become a rich source of Cultural Heritage. This not only belongs to this group, but to all people, direct or indirectly, that are related to daily - the goiana society. We identified the strong and fixed elements that mark these landscapes and turn a local in a place, which show people the real feeling and topofilia. We also worked around the concepts of landscape, place, topofilia and memory in order to raise subsidies for a new approach on what constitutes the cultural heritage in Ouro Fino.

Texto completo da fonteThe gold decoration method originally developed by Bassett in 1958, still is of great interest for unraveling microtopographic details of crystal surfaces in the transmission electron microscope. It is of interest also for studies relating to nucleation and epitaxial growth of thin films, as well as in the study of crystal growth and evaporation itself. The present study was intended to investigate the surface morphologies and defects of some selected inorganic crystals, having technological applications. Ali the different samples prepared by this replica method, presented a clear localization of the gold clusters, along very specific sites. The clay minerais kaolinite and dickite exhibited polygonal figures with a pseudo hexagonal arrangement, parallel to the crystal\'s edges. Growth steps having two different spacings were seen to interlace at 120°. Bromine and sodium halides have monoatomic steps aligned along linear or curved paths; these gold decorated steps could be followed for ample extents in the replicas; among them, other less usual patterns of gold decorated imperfections forming loops, waves and circles were located. The only exception was represented by calcite, in which the decoration was at random. Despite this, some images of deep steps caused by cleavage of the crystals could be clearly recognized. Control images obtained by scanning electron microscopy of cleaved crystals and direct transmission electron microscopy of clay mineral particles, were helpful in the interpretation of the results.

It is for the education system contribute to the access the potential related to the digital world, that because the resources of IT may be another contributing to the formation of critical young students the basic cycle, enabling relations space between the phenomena of their living space. Considering the importance of using information technology in education, we check possibility of using the Google Maps site for construction of concepts location and orientation from the use of computers and the Internet as mediators, and engaged in the construction of the way home-school by elementary school children, the State School at Coronel Paiva Ouro Fino, Minas Gerais. For this, we use the city map available on site. We chose Google maps to be freely accessible free internet use and what works in different digital platforms. The difficulty is perceived by this program does not have been developed for educational purposes, therefore, presents problems both in relation to the availability of maps (some outdated and nonexistent) and in relation to their tools that require user skill and dexterity. Working with local maps is important because it allows the student to explore, physically, the city's landscape, familiarizing themselves with it. Building local maps will enable the students represent their own reality and make correlations between phenomena, helping the student become a mapper and player maps ...

The present research had the objective of characterizing and analyzing the quality of rural environmental sanitation in the organic producing properties in the municipality of Ouro Fino, through a survey on environmental issues in the properties with emphasis on: water, soil, solid waste management and sanitation, in order to minimize the knowledge gap on rural environmental sanitation in areas of organic production. To collect data, a qualitative approach was used through semi-structured interviews with seven farmers, which made it possible to understand farmers' perceptions regarding various health, environmental and social aspects. The interviews were composed of thematic blocks: history of the property, profile of the owner, characteristics of the area surrounding the home, environmental sanitation, associativism and environmental perception. The data were analyzed and discussed in a descriptive way based on previous studies and quotations on the subject, as well as excerpts from the producers' statements. The data infer that the fact of being organic producers did not configure as a determinant aspect so that the conditions of the sanitation in their properties were presented ideal, unlike the environmental perceptions. Note the importance of the research that portrays the perception of individuals, whose results reproduce the real needs and desires of the population in question, in the search for more efficient and structured public policies in the rural area.
