Learning outcomes After reading this case, the students will be able to comprehend the conceptual framework of entrepreneurial learning to tap business opportunities; identify the challenges of small businesses; understand the structure of the franchise business model; and recognise the need for succession planning for business sustainability and evaluate various options for succession. Case overview/synopsis “Jute Cottage”, the two-decade-old brand, was operating through its own stores and franchise outlets. The brain behind the brand was Nasreen and her husband Bilal. Dire times led the duo, venture into this business. It was in 1992, the family had relocated from Kolkata and was trying to make a living in Bangalore. Nasreen joined as a teacher and her husband focused on his existing trading business in jute packaging material. This was when Nasreen tried selling jute bags from home that were bought from Kolkata. After a few years, when Bilal’s business had a setback, Nasreen thought of giving a push to her home business. This was how a business that was started at a small level grew slowly and steadily under Nasreen’s leadership to become a brand and reach the current level of owning four stores and 10 franchise outlets across South India. As Nasreen and Bilal were growing old and wanted to retire, they expected their only son, Ataullah, to take over the reins of their business. But to their dismay, he was not interested, as his focus was on movie-making and designing. Complexity academic level The case can be taught to MBA/PGDM students to give them experiential learning in the courses on Entrepreneurship and Strategy. It gives insight on how to tap the business opportunities, grow and sustain. The case also highlights the need for succession planning for business continuity. Supplementary materials Teaching notes are available for educators only. Subject code CSS 3: Entrepreneurship.

This paper aims to analyse the mental state of Taslima Nasreen and Alexandr Solzhenitsyn, writers that are primarily celebrated for their rich casket of fictional narratives, through poems written at a juncture in their lives when they were dealing with the pain of separation and displacement from home and country. As a consequence of defying their respective governments through their revolutionary writings, such a separation is accompanied by the loss of a stable identity. Although they do not share the socio-political context that resulted in exile, the commonly felt strains and fissures of exile have guided their perspectives through particularly intimate landscapes, so that it is possible to describe their poems’ meaning in a wholly decontextualised manner. They both are, in a way, separated from conventional contexts: exile is an alienating experience, and home, no longer homelike, is perhaps an even more estranging place.

Since its inception in 1987, Haskell has provided a focal point for research in lazy functional programming. During this time the language has continually evolved, as a result of both theoretical advances and practical experience. Haskell has proved to be a powerful tool for many kinds of programming tasks, and applications in industry are beginning to emerge. The recent definition of Haskell 98 provides a long-awaited stable version of the language, but there are many exciting possibilities for future versions of Haskell. The fourth Haskell Workshop will be held as part of the PLI 2000 colloquium on Principles, Logics, and Implementations of high-level programming languages in Montreal, 17th September 2000. Previous Haskell Workshops have been held in Paris (1999), Amsterdam (1997) and La Jolla (1995). Following on from these workshops, a special issue of the Journal of Functional Programming will be devoted to Haskell. Possible topics include, but are not limited to:* Critiques of Haskell 98;* New proposals for Haskell;* Applications or case studies;* Programming techniques;* Reasoning about programs;* Semantic issues;* Pedagogical issues;* Implementation.Contributors to any of the Haskell workshops are invited to submit full papers to the special issue on Haskell, but submission is open to everyone. Submissions should be sent to guest editor (address below), with a copy to Nasreen Ahmad (nasreen@dcs.gla.ac.uk). Submitted articles should be sent in postscript format, preferably gzipped and uuencoded. In addition, please send, as plain text, title, abstract, and contact information. The submission deadline is 1st February 2001. For other submission details, please consult an issue of the Journal of Functional Programming or see the Journal's web pages.

This paper scrutinizes the portrayal of women in South Asian fiction by female writers who have been vocal and have been advocating the rights of women in general and the rights and position of Muslim women in particular. How society treats women at different phases of life: daughterhood, womanhood and motherhood have been the point of examination in this article. The paper employs the radical feminist perspective as a theoretical tool to examining the represented position of women in novels of Monica Ali and Taslima Nasreen who belong to Bangladesh but reside beyond the national territory. Ali’s Brick Lane and Nasreen’s My Girlhood have been undertaken as the primary texts to study about the depiction of Muslim women. Women are not inferior to men in any respect. However, through socialization, they are made to feel that they are subordinates to men and their lives are incomplete without the support of men. This feeling instead of capacitating women weakens their will power and ultimately they develop a psyche that men are superior beings and therefore, they must abide by the dictates of men in both personal and professional lives. Both of the novels portray women as daughters, wives and mothers who subordinate men and stay obedient to their counterparts to the extent they are devoid of their existence. When they realize their subjugated position and know the world around, they seek for their individual identity. Despite such portrayals of women’s subjugation and marginalization in patriarchy fueled by doctrines of Islam, some feminist critics including Hosseini assert that the pathetic condition of women in Muslim societies is because of political Islam. Therefore, the generalized view of Islam is questionable.

Program generation has the prospect of being an integral part of a wide range of software development processes. Recent studies investigate different aspects of program generation systems, including their semantics, their applications, and their implementation. Existing theories and systems address both high-level (source) language and low-level (machine) language generation. A number of programming languages now support program generation and manipulation, with different goals, implementation techniques, and targeted at different applications. In this context, a PLI workshop dedicated to this theme (SAIG'00) was held in Montreal in September 2000. Following on from this workshop, a special issue of the Journal of Functional Programming will be devoted to the same theme.Full-length, archival-quality submissions are solicited on topics including both theoretical and practical models and tools for building program generation systems, Examples include:[bull ] Semantics, type systems, and implementations for multi-stage languages.[bull ] Run-time specialization systems, e.g. compilers, operating systems.[bull ] High-level program generation (applications, foundations, environments).[bull ] Symbolic computation, linking and explicit substitution, in-lining and macros.Reports on applications of these techniques to real-world problems are especially encouraged, as are submissions that relate ideas and concepts from several of these topics, or bridge the gap between theory and practice.Contributors to SAIG'00 are encouraged to submit, but submission is open to everyone. Papers will be reviewed as regular JFP submissions, and acceptance in the special issue will be based on relevance to the theme. The special issue also welcomes high-quality survey and position papers that would benefit a wide audience. Accepted papers exceeding the space restrictions will be published as regular JFP papers.Submissions should be sent to the guest editor (address below), with a copy to Nasreen Ahmad (nasreen@dcs.gla.ac.uk). Modern programming languages rely on advanced type systems that detect errors at compile-time. While the benefits of type systems have long been recognized, there are some areas where the standard systems in programming languages are not expressive enough. Language designers usually trade expressiveness for decidability of the type system. Some interesting programs will always be rejected (despite their semantical soundness) or be assigned uninformative types. There are several remedies to this situation. Dependent type systems, which allow the formation of types that explicitly depend on other types or values, are one of the most promising approaches. These systems are well-investigated from a theoretical point of view by logicians and type theorists. For example, dependent types are used in proof assistants to implement various logics and there are sophisticated proof editors for developing programs in a dependently typed language. To the present day, the impact of these developments on practical programming has been small, partially because of the level of sophistication of these systems and of their type checkers. Only recently, there have been efforts to integrate dependent systems into intermediate languages in compilers and programming languages. Additional uses have been identified in high-profile applications such as mobile code security, where terms of a dependently typed lambda calculus to encode safety proofs.A special issue of the Journal of Functional Programming will be devoted to the interplay between dependent type theory and programming practice. We welcome technical contributions in the field, as well as position papers that:[bull ] make researchers in programming languages aware of new developments and research directions on the theory side;[bull ] point out to theorists practical uses of advanced type systems and urge them to address theoretical problems arising in emerging applications.Authors who are concerned about the appropriateness of a topic are welcome to contact the guest editors. However, despite the genuine plight and legitimate demand for the right to self-determination, Kashmiris in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir continue to struggle for their lives and livelihood under Indian oppression and state-sponsored terrorism without respite. This paper, therefore, attempts to glean into the history of the conflict, which has a strong connection with the contemporary situation, while answering important questions: What circumstances compelled people to rush to Kashmir soon after the independence? How has India, over the decades, interpreted, misinterpreted, and manipulated world opinion in its favour? Why and how have the Muslim world and international community shown apathy towards the beleaguered Kashmiris? Lastly, can there be a way forward, especially after India’s illegal annexation of the UN declared disputed territory? It also highlights options available for a plausible solution to this humanitarian issue. Bibliography Entry Malik, Salma, and Nasreen Akhtar. 2021. Background: The cardinal aim of the present study was to assess the level of social support, self esteem and quality of life among people living with HIV/AIDS in Jammu and Kashmir State of India. Further, the study strived to explore the relationship between independent and dependent variables. Method: The study consists a sample of 460 AIDS patients selected through purposive sampling technique, out of them 177 (38.3%) were male, 283 (61.5%) were female patients; 295 (64.1%) were married and 165 (35.9%) were unmarried. Measures included Enriched Social Support Inventory by Mitchell et al., (2003), Rosenberg's Self-Esteem Scale (1965) and Quality of Life Scale by Sharma & Nasreen (2014). For the statistical analysis of data Mean, Standard deviation, Frequency distribution, t-test, one way analysis of variance, correlation analysis and Scheffe’s post hoc test was applied by SPSS 20.0 version. Findings: The findings illustrated that majority of patients have poor social support, lower self-esteem and poor quality of life; also it reveals that patient’s social support, and self-esteem differs by age, occupation, duration of illness, gender, and marital status. However their quality of life differs only by their age, occupation, duration of illness, and marital status. Further the result shows social support and self-esteem are positively correlated with quality of life.

We propose a stochastic model for the development of gastrointestinal nematode infection in growing lambs under the assumption that nonhomogeneous Poisson processes govern the acquisition of parasites, the parasite-induced host mortality, the natural (no parasite-induced) host mortality and the death of parasites within the host. By means of considering a number of age-dependent birth and death processes with killing, we analyse the impact of grazing strategies that are defined in terms of an intervention instant t 0 , which might imply a move of the host to safe pasture and/or anthelmintic treatment. The efficacy and cost of each grazing strategy are defined in terms of the transient probabilities of the underlying stochastic processes, which are computed by means of Strang–Marchuk splitting techniques. Our model, calibrated with empirical data from Uriarte et al and Nasreen et al., regarding the seasonal presence of nematodes on pasture in temperate zones and anthelmintic efficacy, supports the use of dose-and-move strategies in temperate zones during summer and provides stochastic criteria for selecting the exact optimum time instant t 0 when these strategies should be applied.

This study was planned to investigate the relationship between perceived multitasking ability and preferences, gender role attitudes, and marital adjustment of working individuals. It was also intended to explore the moderating effect of multitasking preference for the relationship between perceived multitasking ability and marital adjustment. Data was collected from a sample of 222 married working individuals i.e., (117 men and 105 women). Their ages ranged between 23-65 years (M = 38.75, SD = 9.20). Translated version (Kalsoom & Kamal, 2020) of Communication Specific Multitasking Measurement instrument (Kushniryk, 2008), translated (Kalsoom & Kamal, 2018) version of Multitasking Preference Inventory (Poposki & Oswald, 2010), translated (Nasreen, 2000) Version of Dyadic Adjustment Scale (Spanier, 1976), and indigenously developed (Anila & Ansari, 1992) Gender Role Attitudes Scale (Kamal & Saqib, 2004); was used to collect the data. Results showed significant positive correlation of perceived multitasking ability with marital adjustment and multitasking preferences. Gender role attitude was found positively correlated with multitasking preference and marital adjustment. The results also revealed multitasking preference as a moderator in predicting the relationship between perceived multitasking ability and marital adjustment. From these findings we may infer that higher multitasking preferences play an important role for perceived multitasking ability and marital adjustment of married working individuals.

Simone De Beauvoir, France's most famous woman intellectual, was born in paris on 9 January 1908. Exactly one hundred years later, Paris gave her a birthday party: an international conference presided over by another famous woman intellectual, Julia Kristeva. The conference, held during 9–11 January in the remains of a Franciscan convent that the city bequeathed to the University of Paris, attracted a large crowd despite the rainy weather and the drafty Gothic hall, where you had to sit in your winter coat. At the opening and closing sessions, two of Nicolas Sarkozy's female ministers made an appearance; in between, the speakers included celebrities who had known Beauvoir (most notably the maker of the film Shoah, Claude Lanzmann, who was her young lover in the 1950s and who now edits the journal she and Sartre founded, Les temps modernes), well-known writers and journalists, activists in the women's movement who had worked with Beauvoir in the last years of her life, and old friends, who shared their reminiscences, as well as translators of her works and scholars young and old from all over the world. Beauvoir's adopted daughter and literary executor, Sylvie Le Bon de Beauvoir, was in attendance throughout the proceedings; all in all, more than fifty people participated in the program. The first Simone de Beauvoir Prize for Women's Freedom was awarded to two women writers known for their courageous critiques of Islamic fundamentalism: the Somalian Ayaan Hirsi Ali and the Bangladeshi Taslina Nasreen, who could not be there in person but who sent greetings. There were film screenings in the evenings, a “cocktail” at City Hall, and a concluding banquet at La Coupole, where Beauvoir had lunched with Sartre every day for many years.

ABSTRACT Objective Can we offer conservative treatment for the menopausal women who are having simple cysts? Study design It is a prospective cross sectional study carried out in ZHSikder medical college & hospital, Medinova and Popular hospital. The study period was from january 2011 to January 2016. Materials and methods 500 menopausal women with simple cysts were enrolled after counseling and taking written consent. Inclusion criteria was cysts size should not be more than 5 cm, they should be unilocular, without having any solid component or any debris. Exclusion criteria was women with family history of cancer of ovary, breast, or colon or women with HRT therapy. Thorough history taking, clinical examination, and some investigation like CA125, TVS with Color Doppler was carried out for all the women. CT Scan.MRI, and PET Scan were reserved for selected cases. All the patients were followed up every 3 monthly for 3 to 5 years. Surgery was done if the patient developed any symptoms, or increment of sizes of cysts or there was any sonographic changes were evident. MRI1 (malignancy risk index ) was calculated for each patient. Data were analyzed by SPSS where all calculation rate of less than 0.05 was considered significant. Results Among 500 cysts, 285 (57%) cysts resolved spontaneously which is highly significant( p = < 0.05), 165 (33%) cysts needed surgery and only 50(10%) cysts remained without significant changes. Histopathology of surgical specimen revealed all were benign except 4 cysts, i.e., < 1% became malignant or malignant potential. Conclusion Menopausal women with simple cysts not more than 5cm,which are unilocular, unilateral, without having any solid component and with normal Doppler study are rarely malignant. So if MRI1 is below 200 we may avoid unnecessary surgery and assure the menopausal women for the conservative treatment with regular follow up. Pronunciation is an essential aspect of language learning, and it can be a challenging skill for many students to master. However, research has shown that using songs in language learning can be an effective way to improve pronunciation skills (Chen & Liang, 2018; Godwin-Jones, 2019; Lee, 2021; Zahra & Hadi, 2020). One reason why songs may be effective for improving pronunciation is that they provide learners with a model for correct pronunciation. When students listen to and sing along with songs, they are exposed to the correct pronunciation of words and phrases, which can help them to develop a more accurate pronunciation themselves. This research uses qualitative methods, especially interview analysis. One of the most crucial sources in qualitative research to gain an in-depth understanding of how people experience, feel, and interpret the social world is the interview (Dong, 2012). According to Oakley, a qualitative interview is a form of framework where practices and standards can be reached, pushed, and reinforced in addition to being documented (Nasreen, 2019). This research aims to determine students’ perceptions regarding the use of songs as a tool to improve English pronunciation easily. This research was guided by three main research questions: 1. What are the students' perceptions of using English songs to improve their pronunciation? 2. Can English songs help EFL students get better at pronouncing words? 3. How could using music help students pronounce words more fluently? Each song aimed to explore a specific aspect of songs for pronunciation. This study aims to gain insight into the various ways students use songs to learn language, such as saying words and hearing the rhythm and lyrics to facilitate vocabulary learning. Learning can be made more engaging and entertaining by using songs. While learning the target language, pupils feel at ease in a calm environment and pick up the language (as seen by their better pronunciation). They become more open to learning due to lowering their affective filter. Songs also aid students in better comprehending and pronouncing key phonological elements.

ABSTRACT Objective To compare the effects of the natural and the surgical menopause (SM) on climacteric condition. Materials and methods This prospective study was conducted from Jan 2008 to Jan 2013 in ZHSWMCH. Initially, 4,000 women were enrolled but finally 1,743 of natural menopause (NM) and 554 of SM were analyzed. All women were aged between 45 and 50 years, and they were of menopause for 1 to 5 years. Ethical and patient's permission was taken. Once enrolled, they were asked questions. The questions were related to menopausal symptoms (MS). Data was collected and analyzed by SPSS software. Results Hot flushes, (535 vs 290, p < 0.001), sweating (344 vs 122, p < 0.001), poor memory (99 vs 65 p < 0.001), feeling depressed (335 vs 126, p < 0.001), dry skin/mucosa (229 vs 91, p < 0.001), decreased libido (289 vs 117, p < 0.001), dry vagina (99 vs 65, p < 0.001) and urinary complains (59 vs 42, p < 0.001) were found in SM vs NM. Hypertension or cardiovascular disease was more (191 vs 92, p < 0.01), blood sugar were more (90 vs 32, p ≤ 0.001) and metabolic syndrome are also more (48 vs 26, p < 0.07) in SM than NM but this did not reach the significance. Conclusion Menopausal symptoms are common in both NM and SM. These MS were significantly higher in surgically menopause women and they were troubled more, so we need to be cautious about oophorectomy, and ovarian preservation should be the aim in all benign cases. Of course, we need to assess the risks and benefit where there is risk of ovarian cancer during the time of total abdominal hysterectomy. Both hormone replacement therapy (HRT) (following a risk/benefit analysis) and treatment of osteoporosis may be recommended after surgery to decrease the climacteric symptoms and osteoporosis in women with menopausal symptoms. Abstract Breast cancer stemness is one of the drivers of metastatic spread and presents a key target in the battle against metastatic disease, especially in triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC). Existing treatment options for TNBC are limited due to recurrence and resistance, representing a major unmet clinical need. MicroRNA-10b (miR-10b) is one of the major drivers of breast cancer cell migration and invasion. In our earlier studies, we discovered that miR-10b is also responsible for metastatic cell viability. With the goal of translation of this finding to the clinic, we developed a novel therapeutic, or “nanodrug,” that targets miR-10b, consisting of antisense anti-miR-10b oligonucleotides conjugated to magnetic nanoparticles (MN) that serve as delivery vehicles. Administration of the nanodrug in mice bearing metastatic MDA-MB-231 TNBC tumors prevents the development of metastases and stops the growth of pre-existing metastases. Additionally, combination treatment with adjuvant doxorubicin induced a stable regression of metastases in immunocompromised and immunocompetent mouse models of metastatic TNBC. A limitation of our previous studies is the lack of understanding of the molecular basis for the therapeutic effect of MN-anti-miR10b. To address this gap in knowledge, we performed RNA sequencing on MDA-MB-231 cells treated with the nanodrug or controls. Functional enrichment analysis of differentially expressed genes (DEGs) between cells treated with the nanodrug versus controls (PBS or bare MN) identified a significant overrepresentation of genes associated with cell differentiation. It has been suggested that miR-10b confers stem cell-like properties such as self-renewal and drug resistance onto cancer cells. Our RNA sequencing findings led us to hypothesize that MN-anti-miR10b functions by inhibiting these stem-like cancer cell (CSC) features that are critical to cancer survival. Here, we present preliminary data showing that miR-10b is overexpressed in MDA-MB-231 cells expressing a CSC-associated surface marker phenotype (CD44+/CD24-, compared to CD44-/CD24- cells) and that this trend is not universal among other miRNAs. Furthermore, we found that the nanodrug interferes with the ability of cells to assemble as spheroids, a property associated with CSCs. With our recent observation that the nanodrug inhibits miR-10b in metastases in vivo in as little as one dose after 72 hours, our next steps are to determine whether the cell differentiation-associated DEGs identified in RNA sequencing results can be used as biomarkers of nanodrug efficacy in vivo. Understanding the changes in gene expression induced by MN-anti-miR10b as a function of time will be critical for guiding treatment regimens in future preclinical and clinical trials. Abstract Background: Prostate cancer (PC) is the most common form of cancer in men and accounts for ~35% and 24% of all new cancer diagnoses in Black and Hispanic men, respectively. Incidence rates of PC are higher and cancer is diagnosed at a younger age in Black compared to White men. The most frequently utilized primary treatment options are radical prostatectomy (with or without adjuvant radiotherapy) or radiotherapy. Despite the success of primary treatments for localized PC, many patients (pts) will eventually develop biochemical recurrence (BCR), defined as rising prostate-specific antigen (PSA) levels. Pts with BCR are at a higher risk of developing distant metastases and ultimately dying from PC. This targeted literature review aimed to assess the real-world (RW) relationship between race/ethnicity and BCR, and further identify any differences in oncologic outcomes (risk of metastases, PC-specific mortality, and overall survival). Methods: A targeted literature search was performed using Embase, PubMed, and the past 2 years of American Society of Clinical Oncology conference proceedings. Selected studies were limited to English-language articles focusing on BCR and race or ethnicity among US populations, published between 1/2010 and 7/2023. Results: Ten studies were selected after title and abstract review. Most studies had a White pt majority (83%-92%). Six studies reported no differences in BCR or oncologic outcomes when pts were stratified by race/ethnicity. Four studies reported a higher BCR risk for Black pts with low-risk PC after radical prostatectomy, but not for pts with high-risk PC. PSA and PSA doubling time (PSADT) were found to be strong predictors of oncologic outcomes. Conclusions: The FDA draft guidance on diversity plans recommends that clinical trials enroll an adequate number of participants from underrepresented racial and ethnic populations. This requires an understanding of the diversity of the population that will eventually use the treatment and of which race/ethnicity differences in outcomes should be expected and investigated. Based on this targeted review among pts with localized PC, most RW studies had a White pt majority, and the race distribution in these studies aligned with published census and epidemiology data. In addition, findings suggest that race/ethnicity differences were not pronounced among high-risk PC pts in the US when given equal access to care or treatment, and that oncologic outcomes and BCR risk were similar across Black, White, and Hispanic pt populations. Conversely, PSA and PSADT may be stronger prognostic markers for BCR and oncologic outcomes. Future clinical trials are needed to support these RW findings and should aim to actively enroll racial/ethnic minorities to identify potential differences in efficacy and safety, and to help advance the evidence base for pt PC management. Trickster tales can be found in the folklore of various preliterate people. Nasrdin Avanti is a series of humorous trickster tales from the Uyghur people. In this series, the protagonist Nasrdin Avanti confronts a variety of problems or difficulties, but is able to overcome or solve them. This paper explores Nasrdin Avanti’s problem-solving strategies as found in the book, The Frog Rider: Folk Tales from China, which contains 29 of his stories. Moreover, this paper discusses the functions of these folktales in their cultural and social contexts. It finds that the trickster hero uses eight strategies, the most frequent of which is talking nonsense (six stories), while the others include: feigning ignorance (four stories), satirizing (four stories), using the same reasons as the antagonists (four stories), playing on words (three stories), staying one jump ahead (three stories), taking advantage of the situation (three stories), and flattering (two stories). These problem-solving strategies can cause antagonists to lose face, stop people from bothering the trickster hero or prevent them from taking advantage of him, provide other people with new perspectives, and make them happy. In addition, the folktales of Nasrdin Avanti fulfil different social and emotional functions. Paradoxically, they provide amusement and allow people to escape from the harsh realities in their everyday lives, while at the same time, helping to retain social values and inculcate moral lessons.

BackgroundLung imaging findings vary among subtypes of connective tissue disease-associated interstitial lung disease (CTD-ILD), leading to both diagnostic and therapeutic challenges.ObjectivesWe performed a comprehensive assessment of ILD morphology across CTD-ILD subtypes by examining the presence of overall imaging patterns and specific morphological features.MethodsHigh-resolution chest computed tomography (HRCT) of patients with CTD-ILD enrolled in the multicentre Canadian Registry for Pulmonary Fibrosis from their first ILD clinic visit were re-reviewed in standardized multidisciplinary discussion. All CTD diagnoses were rheumatologist-confirmed. An experienced chest radiologist blinded to clinical data quantified the percentage of lung parenchyma affected by honeycombing, reticulation, ground glass opacity (GGO), hypoattenuating lobules, consolidation, and emphysema. Gas trapping was evaluated on expiratory CT. Each case was categorized into an overall disease pattern including usual interstitial pneumonia (UIP), non-specific interstitial pneumonia (NSIP), fibrotic hypersensitivity pneumonitis (fHP), lymphocytic interstitial pneumonia (LIP), and unclassifiable.Results615 patients with CTD-ILD were assessed with 215 (33%) having systemic sclerosis (SSc), 127 (20%) rheumatoid arthritis (RA), 100 (16%) idiopathic inflammatory myopathy (IIM), 61 (9%) mixed connective tissue disease (MCTD), 40 (6%) Sjogren’s syndrome (SS), 19 (3%) lupus (SLE), and 83 (13%) undifferentiated connective tissue disease (UCTD). NISP was most predominant in SSc (76%), IIM (62%), and MCTD (66%), while UIP was most common in RA (47%) and SS (33%). A fHP pattern was most common in RA (15%), SLE (21%), and MCTD (12%) (Figure 1a). There was substantial variability in the extent of fibrotic (honeycombing, reticulations) and non-fibrotic (pure GGO, consolidation) parenchymal features within and across each CTD (Figure 1b).ConclusionThere is considerable variation in imaging features across subtypes of CTD-ILD, with NSIP generally most common, UIP most frequent in RA and SS, and fHP less frequent but most common in RA, SLE, and MCTD. This variability highlights the need for additional data on management of CTD-ILD that considers the potential for variable treatment responses across major CTD-ILD subtypes and phenotypes.REFERENCES:NIL.Acknowledgements:NIL.Disclosure of InterestsBoyang Zheng: None declared, Daniel-Costin Marinescu: None declared, cameron hague: None declared, Nestor Muller: None declared, darra murphy: None declared, Andrew Churg: None declared, Joanne Wright: None declared, Amna Al-Arnawoot: None declared, Gerald Cox: None declared, Zachary Guenther: None declared, Amanda Grant-Orser: None declared, James Huynh: None declared, Tracy Elliot: None declared, Derek Fladeland: None declared, Jen Ellis: None declared, geoff karjala: None declared, Gillian Goobie Grant/research support from: Boehringer Ingelheim.Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, Kerri Johannson Paid instructor for: Boehringer-Ingelheim, Hoffman-La Roche Ltd, Consultant of: Boehringer-Ingelheim, Hoffman-La Roche Ltd, Pliant Therapeutics, Stacey Lok Speakers bureau: Boehringer Ingelheim, Tony Sedlic: None declared, Nasreen Khalil: None declared, Veronica Marcoux Grant/research support from: Astra Zeneca, Roche, Boehringer Ingelheim, Martin Kolb Speakers bureau: Roche, Novartis, Boehringer Ingelheim, Grant/research support from: Boehringer Ingelheim, Pieris, Roche, Ciaran Scallan: None declared, Nathan Hambly Speakers bureau: Boehringer Ingelheim, Janssen, Roche, Grant/research support from: Boehringer Ingelheim, Janssen, Roche, sarah macisaac: None declared, Jonathon Leipsic Speakers bureau: GE Healthcare, Philips Healthcare, victoria tan: None declared, celine durand: None declared, Helene Manganas Grant/research support from: Boehringer Ingelheim Canada, Hoffmann La Roche, Galapagos, BMS, Ehsan Haider Speakers bureau: Boerhinger Ingelheim, Jolene Fisher Speakers bureau: Boehringer-Ingelheim, Consultant of: Boehringer-Ingelheim, AstraZeneca, micheal mcinnis: None declared, shane shapera Consultant of: AstraZeneca, Boehringer Ingelheim, Hoffman LaRoche, Ana-Maria Bilawich: None declared, John Mayo: None declared, patrick bourgouin: None declared, julie morisset Speakers bureau: Roche, Boehringer Ingelheim, Kelly Sun: None declared, Alyson Wong: None declared, Christopher Ryerson Speakers bureau: Boehringer Ingelheim, Hoffmann-La Roche, Astra Zeneca, Consultant of: Boehringer Ingelheim, Hoffmann-La Roche, Astra Zeneca.
