The objectives of this research were: 1) to study the concepts and theories of educational administration, 2) to study the model of educational management, and 3) to analyze the theoretical tendency and the educational management model in practice. The primary data were collected from the Tipitaka in Thai version of Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University and Commentaries. The secondary data were collected from Buddhist documents, educational administration, and interviews with 10key informants. The collected data were analyzed by content analysis. The research results indicated that: 1) the concepts and theories concerning academic affairs, teaching and learning management and evaluation by information technology, personnel management are an important part to drive the organization into effectiveness by setting job channel and description, and personnel development in virtue and knowledge. The budget is a factor to make the organization achieve its goal. The institutional environment is to support the management and work performance effectively. Furthermore, the participation in educational administration is a key factor to push the operation according to policy and plan. 2) The educational management model based on the Ministry of Education consisted of 4 aspects; Academic management, Budget management, Personnel, and General administration with stability and relevant to the 20-Year National Strategy and Thailand 4.0, by development and empowerment of potential, opportunity, equality of people, and enhancing people's quality of life with eco-friendly system, and educational system and management development. 3) The analysis of theoretical trends and educational management models into practice in 4 aspects; academic affairs, budget, personnel, and general management in practice is to strengthen the stability and reconciliation relevant to modern administration system with innovation and social network by using the educational administration in the digital age integrated with Buddhist principles to become a professional administrator in the present situation.

Particular interests in English language teaching practices have been given much attention recently. This study attempts to examine whether trained English majors can help teach English to students in a primary school where there is short of English teachers. Two English instructors, twenty English majors and ninety-four students participated in the study. Theoretical and practical training sessions were organized for twenty English majors before they start teaching the students. English lesson plans were designed relative to four major content areas found in the standardized national English test include vocabulary, reading, conversation, and public signs were used as a guideline for both training and teaching sessions. Pre and post-tests were administered to primary school students before and after the teaching intervention accordingly. Data collected through participant observations were also used to support data collected from the interviews and tests. Results show that our trained English majors could help improve the students’ English language proficiency in spite the unavailability of qualified English teachers at their school. Findings offer some insights on possible alternatives to teaching English to primary school students who face similar problems.

The purposes of this study were to study the guidelines and teaching for the Olympic education that were to instil conscience of Olympic values. The 30 samples in this study were purposively sampled method. They were the experts from the National Olympic Committees of Thailand and Ministry of Education. The instruments were semi-structured interview developed by the researcher. The qualities of the instruments were verified by measuring the construct validity, calculating the index of congruence under the considerations of the experts, and determining the reliability with Cronbach’s method, respectively. The results of the research showed that the guidelines for teaching Olympic education in primary schools for cultivating Olympic values for students must create a network-based collaboration.

<p>This study investigated the experiences and challenges perceived by Indonesian EFL teachers as the NNESTs in Thailand. The study used a questionnaire and interviews to collect primary data from seventeen Indonesian EFL teachers in Thailand. The study discovered that most of the Indonesian EFL teachers are eager to teach English in Thailand to have teaching experience abroad, to improve their English skills, and to earn higher salaries. Besides, the Indonesian EFL teachers did not find difficulties in adapting to the new cultures in Thailand, even though adjusting to the teaching environment became a challenge. Moreover, third, the Indonesian EFL teachers were treated equally as the NESTs, although their salaries were lower than those of NESTs. Lastly, the study reported issues in English classes, such as students' motivations, linguistic gaps, and plagiarisms, which trigger the creativity of Indonesian EFL teachers in English classes.</p>

Monitoring the interest in Russian language learning constitutes a significant direction regarding supporting and promoting the Russian language abroad. The relevance of the study is attributed to the scarce amount of contemporary research on the status of Russian in the academic realm of the Republic of Turkey. This study aims to explore the dynamics and trends regarding teaching Russian as a foreign language in undergraduate programmes in Turkey over the last 5 years and identify the primary factors determining the choice of Russian as a major or as an additional skill. Within the scope of this study we have obtained quantitative information regarding Russian undergraduate programme quotas from governmental Internet resources (Council of Higher Education); additionally, evidence was collected via an anonymous questionnaire targeting L1 Turkish L2 Russian learners. The data were analyzed using statistical methods. The obtained results suggest steady and positive dynamics on the state level: the number of quotas for Russian undergraduate programmes in Turkey is gradually increasing; and on the individual level: a genuinely positive attitude towards Russian language and culture is observed among university students. The crucial factors determining the students choices are mainly related to instrumental motivation (job opportunities, etc.), whereas integral motivation also plays considerable importance (interest towards Russian language and culture, etc.). The results of the study may prove useful in developing educational materials and setting new directions in intercultural policies.

The article describes modern pedagogical technologies of teaching a foreign language in primary school and examines their impact on the development of various competencies of primary school students. The authors emphasize that information and communication pedagogical technologies help to implement a student-centered approach to learning, provide individualization and differentiation of learning, taking into account the abilities of younger students, their level of education. And also modern pedagogical technologies as a systemic holistic means of restructuring activities make it possible to improve the quality of the educational process, to solve the problems of personality development. Purpose – analysis of modern educational technologies used in English lessons. The current system of training primary school teachers requires a revision of its structure, organization, relationship with school practice and innovative processes in the education system. Therefore, the article proves that an important part of the educational process should be the use of new pedagogical technologies in improving the quality of training of specialists at the university, providing the possibility of self-development of the teacher's personality, increasing his creative abilities and improving the educational process. The study used a descriptive method, analysis and synthesis methods. The authors of the article call the development of the student's personality (moral and cognitive) and the complex of abilities for successful interaction with the polycultural and multilingual world around him as the goal of foreign language education in primary grades. Therefore, it is important that the future primary school teacher, in accordance with the requirements of the state educational standard, has formed the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary for the application of modern pedagogical technologies. At the present time, when a new education system was created, focused on the world educational space, changes in the educational process changed the paradigm of education, updated the content of education, formed a new approach, new relationships.

AbstractThis article illustrates the importance of teaching Roman numerals, a component of a Latin language programme, as part of a Maths curriculum in a Spanish primary school. The aim is to contextualise the topic with concrete examples, supported by ancient Roman objects such as the milestone. The author discusses the relevance of a more integrated cross-curricular lesson to teach Roman numerals so that students better understand their use and make comparisons between ancient Roman and more modern traditions and culture, and to understand Roman influences on the modern age. Lastly, the author describes a teaching experiment in a Spanish primary school using some ad hoc materials to fulfil the aim of the study. The study outlines the positive results of integrating Roman numerals within the Maths lesson and shows that the students gained a richer and more valuable learning experience as they made reference to the concrete objects.

Encouraged by previous studies which recommended incorporating insights from Conversation Analysis (CA) into English conversation teaching to improve EFL students' oral proficiency, this paper reports on the findings from Phase I of a longitudinal study designed to investigate the impact of employing a CA-informed teaching (CA-T) model to improve Thai students' oral English proficiency. The aim of Phase I of this study was to engage local teachers in co-developing and piloting the CA-T model. In this phase, 16 purposively sampled primary and secondary English teachers from Thailand’s southern provinces participated in an intensive 6-day workshop designed to (1) familiarize them with the instructional value of CA insights and key features of the CA-T model and (2) assist these teachers in creating CA-T lesson plans. Following the workshop, teachers piloted the lesson plans, provided feedback on the implementation process, reported on the perceived effects of the lessons, and offered recommendations for improving the CA-T model. This paper describes the content of the workshop, shares teachers' feedback about the CA-T lessons and implementation process, and presents preliminary findings as to the potential challenges and benefits of employing the CA-T model in Thai primary and secondary classrooms.

The objectives of this research were (1) to study the authentic situation of the Information Technology Management of Teachers in Primary Schools in Thailand (2) to study the factors supporting the Information Technology Management of Teachers in Primary Schools in Thailand .
The sample group consisted of 165 teachers, teaching in primary schools under the office of the basic education commission (OBEC) in Thailand in 2016. By using multi-stage sampling technique. Data were collected by using questionnaire include 101 questions from 6 factors in which the questionnaires were approved content validity from experts at level of 0.95 and 0.97, respectively. The statistics were used to analyse the data as follows: mean (M), standard deviation (S.D),and Stepwise Multiple Regression Analysis. The study revealed that (1) the authentic situation of the Information Technology Management was found at “very often” level for the operation of the information technology management x ̅ = 4.09 and S.D.= 0.47 and (2) the factors that support the Information Technology Management consisting of the hardware factors and the people factor. The percentage was 28.80 and 32.70 consecutively, and shown the raw score and standard score was found from this formula Ý = 1.989 + .322(X1) + .178(X6) Ź = .363(X1) + .262(X6).

Finding a unique way to help students better accept between traditional Chinese Painting and Modern and Contemporary Art is an increasing concern in primary school art teaching. The purpose of this study is to investigate fine art education field according to analyze the current situation of Chinese traditional painting and calligraphy together with Modern and Contemporary Art in the art curriculum of primary schools: shallow embedded curriculum, shortage of Class Hours and relatively simple teaching method. Based on the key competence of the disciplines, it discusses the value of integrating those two in art teaching of primary schools, proposes a Bridge to connect the Chinese painting and calligraphy& Modern and contemporary art and provides a curriculum construction model that connects the artistic language with the concept of disciplines. This study takes the work of artist A.R.Penck as the theme, starting from the big idea, looking for basic problems, designing a curriculum with the integration of two kinds of art forms, and teaching practice at The China Soong Ching Ling Science & Culture for Young People. This study not only answers the feasibility of the curriculum construction model but also gives some critical thinking about it.

Objective - This research explored the cultural and educational insights in Thailand to develop a study abroad course for Business Communication students including a pre-departure segment followed by a trip to Thailand. The context was a small mid-western teaching university in the United States of America. Methodology/Technique – The primary researcher collected textual data by means of keeping a daily journal in Thailand including visits and stays in both urban and rural areas for over a period of two months. The journaling included reflections on the primary researcher’s observations and comments about learning sites, opportunities and cultural activities. The data collection also included videotaped interviews, photos of sites, local people, and cultural artifacts to be utilized in the course. Finding & Novelty - Content analysis of the journal yielded three sets of themes which resulted in the development of the course: a) Identification of opportunities to develop and practice intercultural sensitivity, intercultural development, and intercultural competencies; b) recognition of cultural artifacts to bring awareness to the culture of the country visited; and c) identification of a set of practical issues related to international travel. The study aimed at exploring the perceptions pre-service student teachers had about their challenges and difficulties that hindered their teaching. The present study espoused a convergent mixed-methods approach, which adopted a questionnaire and semi-structured focused-groupinterviews as the research instruments. The participants of this small-scale study were B.Ed. Students at a university in Thailand. There were 78 participants in a quantitative phase, while 17 of them participated in a semi-structured-focus-group interview. The findings demonstrated around 4 dimensions of various constraints and challenges. This embodied: communication factors, instructional factors, student-related factors, and support-related factors. Based on One- Way ANOVA, most students appeared to face similar challenges. However, pre-service student teachers at early childhood and primary school levels highlighted the different challenges which they encountered during their practicum experience concerning various teaching methods used in their lessons. The findings also addressed some areas which needed improvement in the teacher education program. Recommendations were suggested to enhance practical and effective teacher education among future teachers in Thailand.

The purpose of this study is describing the use of internet based resources method in teaching English listening skills for primary school students in Ban Raisooksan School, Loei, Thailand. In this research the researcher describes the activities of teaching English listening skills by using internet based resources method. The data resources are from teacher and students in Ban Raisooksan School, Loei, Thailand. The students are from 5th grade (P5 students) and the total of the students are 8 students. The data were collected through observation and semi-structured interviews between teacher and students. The researcher go through six weekly listening activities using Internet based resources and assignments. Based on the study, this paper concludes that the use of internet based resources method would significantly improve the virtual teaching and learning. Through writing this article, the author hopes to improve the awareness of the internet based resources method by the teachers. The teachers will use the internet based resources method to carry on teaching in the classroom and help the students learn virtually.

Innovations should help students develop a dialectic way of thinking when explaining objects, phenomena and processes in nature and society, as well as enable them to notice cause and effect relationships. The application of new methods should provide maximum activity of the students in terms of their research and independent work. Computers are used in many different ways therefore they can be used very rationally in different segments of the teaching process.

Abstract. Nowdays, english as a subject learned in primary school level. Its because the important of english towards the student. This study was conducted aimed to know the influence of Picture Cards in teaching vocabulary to the third grade of Nida Suksa School, Thailand. The subjects of the research were students in the third grade. The researcher only took nine students in different abilities from a high level (3/1), middle level (3/2), and low level (3/3). The instrument used by the researcher was an interview. The result showed that the students still had difficulty in understanding the texts because of having a lack of vocabulary, long texts, and limited time to analyze the text in answering the question. The students studied vocabulary through Picture Cards, and they learned vocabulary tests from text book. Furthermore, the finding of this study was: Picture Cards is able to increase and enrich their vocabulary and their knowledge. The implication of Pictures Cards can motivate students to understand the text. Therefore, they can understand many texts in vocabulary tests.Keywords: Teaching Vocabulary, Picture Cards

The study deals with the determination of the theoretical platform of Fröbel’s theory of education and its congru-ence with the constructivist theory of learning and education. Through expert analysis, it clarifies and justifies the essence of Fröbel’s edagogical system as a basis for a modern concept of education that lean towards active and agile process of learning of the children of young school-age. It presents the potential of play and manipulation of didactic material as an eminent activating method that support the authentic cognitive process and leads to the correct interpretation of the surrounding world. This work also examines the value of Fröbel’s theory of education for contemporary primary education. It also documents the contribution and evident influence of Fröbel’s views on the development of modern pedagogical thinking, the implementation of which reflects the need to study and learn the history of pedagogy as an effective way to find effective didactic methods for current education.

When it comes to the use of mobile technology in the classroom, one of the major challenges for the teacher is finding suitable applications that appropriately match the topic of study. In most areas of education there are tools for evaluating teaching materials, but there are few tools for evaluating mobile technology in the classroom. The lack of evaluation methods means that for teachers, who are increasingly using tablets in the primary level classrooms, the results can be “hit or miss”. The aim of the study is to propose and describe a new framework that enables primary school teachers to evaluate tablet-based games effectively. The proposed framework is adapted from the four-dimensional framework (FDF). Thereby, supporting teachers in the choice of suitable tablet-based games to use in their classrooms that balance the essential aspects of student engagement (or playability) and learning achievement. A small case study is carried out based on the evaluation of 30 iPads STEM applications. The proposed framework can predict the initial pitfalls of technical and design issues in applications before class use. The successfully evaluated applications are used for the experiment at primary school in Thailand. The improvement of students’ learning skill, behavioral outcomes, and teachers’ perspectives are not considered in this study.

Expand and deepening of detailed researches into the problems of training future primary teachers in physical education is very necessary under modern conditions. Scientists pay special attention to the creation and introduction of active methods of study, the skilful use of which would contribute to increasing efficiency in the acquisition by students of professional knowledge, skills in the organization of physical education process of pupils.
Physical culture lessons in their modern format are insufficient in themselves to maintain health of children, because they are often carried out unskilled, uninteresting, which creates an additional study load, negative attitude of pupils to school physical culture is produced as a kind of secondary educational subject. There is a hopeless situation under such conditions, at first sight. Therefore, the way out of the situation that now has developed is to review fundamentally tasks, essence, functions, forms and technological foundations of physical education at school. First of all, it is necessary to go beyond the traditional perception of physical culture as means of conducting only appropriate lessons. Physical culture should be considered a key component of human culture and not only as the development of individual physical qualities of the body, as universal means and prerequisite for the formation of all qualities of the individual - ethical, emotionally and strong-willed, intellectual and creative, permissive-entertainment, spiritual in general.
The activity components of the organizer of sports and mass work at primary school, listed in the research, are interconnected, constitute the main content of the structure of his abilities, although they are constantly improved in the processes of their manifestation. Also our observations convince that each individual teacher is most often dominated by some one of the components just named. One teacher is well produced with organizational tasks, another with Gnostic, and another with communicative tasks. This is the individual style of activity and the development level of his pedagogical abilities.

<p>This study aimed to analyze the recently updated teacher education programmes in two universities in Finland and Thailand. The article reports the characteristics of the elementary and secondary school teacher education studies in the selected universities, and discusses the roles and significance of 21<sup>st</sup> century skills and their modifications in these programmes. This kind of qualitative case comparison that focuses on modern skills and intercultural programmes is a new approach.</p><p>The methods were document analysis and questionnaire-based survey. Six teacher educators who had important roles in the recent programme updates, three from each university, were the survey informants.</p><p>The findings revealed that the policies and approaches to teacher education were different. While the Thai programmes focused more on courses, the Finns had a wider educational view. Second, research, skills and teaching practice were seen to be important, but the purposes were parted. Finally, as teachers’ professional development tools, those will need further studies.</p>

Using a case study approach, this study investigated teachers’ perceptions of EMI, the challenges teachers encountered while adopting EMI, and opportunities for EMI in Thai EFL classrooms. The participants were three Thai teachers who used English as a medium of instruction in subjects such as mathematics and science in an intensive English program at a private primary school in the northeastern part of Thailand. Data were obtained from teachers’ journals and semi-structured interviews. The data were transcribed and coded into themes using content analysis. The current study reports the perceptions of Thai EFL teachers and reveals the challenges of EMI in Thai EFL classrooms. As the findings reveal, the participants perceived EMI as an educational advantage, as preparation for the international community and as an approach to enhance students’ speaking confidence. Although EMI offers potential benefits, the study reveals that when teaching, the participants are challenged by students’ language proficiency, classroom size, a lack of teaching materials, teacher’s lack of content knowledge and a lack of support from the school. Moreover, the study suggests some recommendations for pedagogical implication in adopting EMI in Thai EFL classrooms.

Inequality in education is an important problem in Thailand especially English learning between urban and rural students that concerned teacher quality, socioeconomic status of students, and English learning support system that directly affects the quality of English learning. This research aimed to develop teachers' ability in teaching English, English proficiency and attitude of primary students in Loei Primary Educational Service Area Office 2 where located in the remote area of Thailand using Mobile English Learning Center based on activity based learning approach. The study conducted 2 phases in the academic year 2019 with the 157 affiliated schools comprising of 130 teachers and 1,482 students. The quantitative and qualitative data were collected through questionnaires, English skills assessment, observation, interview, and reflection meetings. Descriptive statistics were applied for quantitative data, Z-test and one sample t-test for hypothesis testing and content analysis for qualitative data. The result of this research indicated that the treatment affected teachers' ability in teaching English, English proficiency and attitude of the students with the statistical significance, and also achieved the student attitude toward English learning. The implication and recommendation were also discussed.

Although modern health care facilities exist in rural areas, Thai people continue to seek help from traditional healers. This paper explores the perceptions and experiences of patients of traditional healers in southern Thailand. An ethnographic method was used comprising participant observation and in-depth interviews with 23 patients of traditional healers. Fieldwork data showed that patients sought help from traditional healers for both common and emergency illnesses, and for treatment of localised symptoms as well as chronic health conditions. The participants believed that there was no single healing system that could promote total well-being: they looked for the one that could best help them to return to normal health. Individuals expected that any healing form would be complementary or an alternative to another. The findings of this study have implications for the provision of health care to local people. They add weight to arguments that health policymakers could increase choice within the Thai health care system by formally incorporating and promoting the role of traditional healers, recognising them as an important resource in primary health care.

On-the-job teacher learning is vital to the success of reforms aimed at improving the quality of primary education in the developing world. In this study, we consider two policy options for improving the competence of the incumbent teacher: providing in-service training and encouraging regular classroom supervision. The results, based on a nationwide sample of small rural primary schools in Thailand, indicate that a teacher’s experience in in-service training courses predicts neither instructional quality nor student achievement. In sharp contrast, intensity of internal supervision significantly predicts both instructional quality and student achievement, after controlling for a variety of covariates measured at the school, teacher, and classroom levels. The supervision effect, similar in magnitude to the preservice education effect, is quite large. Intensive fieldwork in carefully selected rural schools suggests that, for effective principals, teacher supervision is a critical component in a larger strategy designed to create and sustain an “ethos of improvement” in academic teaching and learning

This study sought to determine the sequence of L2 morpheme presentation, as well as to determine whether or not the sequence of morpheme presentations correspond with the recognized natural order of morpheme acquisition in English Language Teaching course books utilized with young adult learners at a public sector vocational education institution in Thailand. Qualitative analysis was employed in the scrutinizing of twelve beginner and elementary level ESL and EFL learners course books that have been utilized as the primary teaching material for over a decade by the general education department of the institute. This examination revealed that the morpheme presentation sequence within the selected ELT course books was not analogous with the conclusions in the supporting literature. The findings further indicated that the widely accepted viewpoint of natural order morpheme acquisition was likewise not substantially reflected within the analyzed texts. Albeit, earlier studies have found that an unnatural sequence of morpheme presentation in EFL course books may hamper communicative competence in English, further study is required to establish if this may be a contributing factor for the overall low English proficiency of adult L2 learners in Thailand.

Based on the new technology initiative in Serbian education, we explored primary school teachers? attitudes toward Computer Assisted Learning (CAL) in biology teaching, as well as the relationships between the teachers? attitudes and four independent variables: age, teaching experience, teachers? competence to use modern teaching aids and their professional advanced training in the field of computer applied learning. Fifty-four elementary school biology teachers from Novi Sad participated in the study. The findings suggested that the teachers generally had positive attitudes toward CAL in biology teaching. Correlation analyses revealed significant relationships between age, teaching experience, teachers? competence to use modern teaching aids in the teaching process, professional advanced training in the field of computer applied learning, and the teachers? attitudes toward CAL. We offer suggestions for further research in this field.

The Classics in Communities project (http://classicsincommunities.org/) is a partnership between members of the University of Oxford, the University of Cambridge and the Iris Project. It was set up in response to the primary curriculum reforms which were implemented in England from September 2014. In the Key Stage 2 (KS2) Languages curriculum policy, for the first time, Classical Greek and Latin can be chosen for study by pupils aged 6-11 in place of a modern language. The project particularly targets schools where Classical languages have not previously featured on the curriculum. It has twin aims: to equip teachers in primary schools with the skills and knowledge necessary to teach these languages; and to conduct parallel research to determine the impact of Classical language learning on children's cognitive development.

The experimental article presents the results of a study of methods of teaching reading to primary school children in Poland. The author describes the methodology and results of an experimental study involving certified teachers with relevant professional experience working in rural and urban schools. Respondents had to 1) choose from a list of methods that they know; 2) refer teaching methods to the names of their creators and its corresponding description; 3) determine the reasons for choosing one or another method of teaching reading; 4) name the frequency of use of reading exercises and their types; 5) provide information about the sources from which the interviewed teachers receive knowledge of the methods of teaching reading.The author emphasizes that primary school teachers in vocational education study and have at their disposal many methods of teaching reading to primary school children (color and sound method, composition method, good start method, an alternative method, natural reading method, early reading method, reading instruction and writing using the phonetic letter-color method, etc.). However, most often only one of them is used - analytical-synthetic, and the others are used sporadically. It has been experimentally proven that teachers do not see a connection between the low reading competence of many younger students and the limited methodological tools they use. Research results indicate routine and stereotypical exercises to improve reading, which may also be the cause of low effectiveness of reading instruction. It is necessary to raise the issue of the determinants of the analyzed pedagogical situation and look for effective methods of teacher training.

The article is devoted to international experience in teaching financial literacy in elementary school students. The state of research is analyzed in the theory and practice of elementary education. This article reacts to the current situation in our society and the need for financial education in schools. The modern world requires financial and economic literacy. The essence of the concept and importance of financial literacy is considered. Appearances of scientists to interpret the concept of «financial literacy» are revealed. The author proposes an actual definition of financial literacy, which is understood as human skills to dispose of their own funds, possessing the basic financial knowledge, which will rationally take financial decisions. An analysis of international experience in teaching financial literacy and organization of educational process aimed at developing financial skills of elementary school students is carried out. Financial literacy and financial education are not new categories for the world experience of young education. The number of countries that implement financial literacy programs increases annually. So, in Europe there are more than 180 such programs. The study showed that it is extremely important to include financial literacy in the educational process in the elementary school an important role in learning students of the elementary school of financial literacy play relevant programs developed by ministries of finance, national banks, public organizations, charitable foundations, etc. that exist in different countries of the world (USA, Great Britain, Netherlands, Turkey and others). The author concludes that there is a need for mastering young competencies in various types of financial activity due to the peculiarities of the development of Ukrainian society. The aim of this study is to investigate technological competences and technological tools usage by primary school teachers. The inability of primary school teachers to substitute traditional teaching methods with modern technological tools and applications during COVID-19 motivated the researchers to carry out this study. The study made use of a survey research design. Technology implementation and computer use for instructional teachers sub scales were used to collect data. Related literature was reviewed based on skills and knowledge of teachers and the various technologies used for instruction. The samples were 398 teachers who are teaching using ICT and the simple random sampling method was employed to select these respondents. Data was collected from teacher-respondents using tables, percentages, charts, mean, standard deviations and one sample t-test. The results showed an average level of technological competences possess by primary school teachers and types of technological tools used for teaching and learning. These results indicate that primary school educators and instructors lack the competences to install software on their computers and faced difficulties in using more advanced technologies. The study strongly recommends effective in-service training for teachers, easy access and connection to network services as well as the provision of technical assistance to schools. This will enable teachers to effectively acquire skills and knowledge for technology integration in education. Primary schools and teachers should also be equipped with modern technologies especially during this period of COVID-19.

The article studies distance education technologies in teaching Russian as a non-native language in primary schools. Modern Russian schools are multicultural, because their students have not spoken Russian since childhood together with Russian-speaking classmates. Most of them study in primary schools (grades 1-4). The relevance of the research is determined by the current situation in the world, where distance learning has become an integral part of the educational process, and also by the lack of knowledge of the online resources potential in teaching Russian as a non-native language at school. The aim of the study is to determine the possibilities of including distance technologies in the practice of teaching Russian to foreign-speaking primary school students. The material is scientific and educational literature on the issue, as well as Internet resources for students studying Russian as a foreign and non-native language. The authors used methods of analysis, synthesis, evaluation, forecasting, and survey. The results of the research are detecting the features of distance-learning technologies in modern schools: online resources are used in fragments, the technical capabilities of schools are not used or are not used enough, materials on Russian as a non-native language are not presented on the used platforms, and schoolmasters do not have experience in using distance learning technologies in teaching Russian to foreign speakers and also determining the directions for improving online teaching of Russian as a non-native language to primary school students: interconnected teaching of speech activities, the use of distance learning technologies for students individual work on the program, presenting generalized material of lessons, language and speech exercises, as well as materials for monitoring. The conclusion contains findings about the educational potential of distance technologies: massive opportunities for generalizing and revising lesson material, language skills automation and speech skills training, interconnected training of speech activities, cognitive activity intensification and compensation for the lack of classroom time for teaching Russian as a non-native language.

The modern teaching of mathematics relies heavily on the modeling method. At the same time, visual models are the most preferred means of teaching mathematics in primary school. Numerous scientific studies suggest methods for improving the practice of teaching mathematics using visual models. However, much less attention has been paid to the problem of preparing a primary school teacher for the use of visual models in mathematics lessons. The purpose of the study is to identify and describe the features of teachers' use of visual models in mathematics lessons, to identify the problems of preparing students for the use of visual teaching models and to propose one of the approaches to its improvement. To achieve the result, various methods were used: theoretical analysis of modern sources on the use of visual models in teaching mathematics; an observation method for identifying the features of the use of visual models by teachers in mathematics lessons, a case method for determining the attitude of future primary school teachers to the use of visual models. As a result of the research, the problems of preparing students for the use of visual models in primary teaching of mathematics are highlighted. One of the main problems of this training is the discrepancy between the verbal‐logical thinking of an adult and the visual‐ figurative thinking of a child. Therefore, when developing the ability to teach using visual models, it is important to start not with mastering the technical aspects of building models, but with understanding and accepting the value of educational modeling by students.

The article presents the experience of the Department of Foreign Languages at the Pedagogical Institute of Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University in training students majoring in 012 "Preschool Education" and 013 "Primary Education" and methods of teaching them to implement digital tools in the process of forming foreign language communicative competence of 3-10 year-old children at preschool institutions and the New Ukrainian School. It should be noted that this work took place within the research on the scientific topic: "Strategy of foreign language teacher training in the context of European integration." The basis of the study is the understanding of the specifics of language as a means of communication, and therefore the emergence of new digital ways and tools of communication, their widespread penetration into various spheres of life naturally requires their use for educational purposes. In addition, the normative documents of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine recognize information and digital competence as a component of professional competence of a teacher of any subject, which also requires modernization of components of teacher training in early foreign language learning. In the process of research we relied on the levels of digital competence of teachers defined in DigCompEdu and aimed to prepare future teachers of early foreign language teaching for the practical application of digital tools and instruments taking into account Generation Theory, Alpha children, current foreign language programs in modern conditions of educational institutions in Ukraine. Teaching values in modern schools is a new phenomenon. Malaysian national curriculum at both primary and secondary school levels ensures that students develop desirable attitudes and behaviors based on human, religious, and spiritual values. The inculcation of the values is made possible through various subjects and non-academic subjects and students’ activities. However, knowledge about values education remains limited because there is no measurement device to assess the extent of values teaching in school. To fill this gap, the present study was designed to develop and examine the psychometric properties of an instrument measuring values teaching schools. Using data from 400 high school students, the study developed and validated a measure called Malaysia School Values Scale (MSVS) tailored to high school students in Malaysia. A robust analysis of Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) in Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) provides a rigorous analysis of the model power in relation to construct and content validity, confirming the dimension and analyzing the fitness of the data collected in the hypothesized model. This paper provides insight construct and content analysis using the CFA approach to consider the 15 school values constructs. To achieve the intended research objective, the 15 school values were explored. The results provide evidence that the MSVS achieved sound psychometric properties. The overall reliability value of Cronbach’s Alpha was acceptable. The CFA results showed that the goodness-of-fit indices for the hypothesized model were as follows: x2 (182) = 627.269, p = 0.00, x2/DF = 3.409, GFI = 0.852; AGFI = 0.814, CFI = 0.92; IFI = 0.921, RMSEA = 0.077. Each of the indices was above the threshold value. Results imply that MSVS is a valid measure to describe the school values among high school students. However, more studies are recommended to further validate the scale.

Teachers often consider modern active teaching methods to be better suited for students who are good at learning or even for gifted students, as they assume that students with learning disabilities have underdeveloped metacognitive and social learning skills, that they require more time to grasp the techniques of the more advanced, technology aided teaching methods and that they cannot acquire additional knowledge at the same time. Our research focuses on pupils with learning disabilities, their attitude towards learning and teaching with the help of ICT and on motivation that arises from it. The study has shown that students with learning disabilities are confident enough in their computer skills that teachers may freely use modern teaching methods with them in primary school, as even those children are motivated and have a good attitude towards such teaching methods.

Development of communicative competence has become one of the most important aspects of foreign language education in the modern days. The study portrays the development of communicative competence at the primary level of education in Slovakia. The main aim of the inquiry is to identify and examine the process of developing communicative competence at the given level of proficiency by a qualitative enquiry with the use of content analysis, observation, and interview. The results and findings depict how the components of communicative competence are referred to in real teaching environment. The findings reveal that several linguistic components of communicative competence prevail in the teaching process, whereas sociolinguistic and pragmatic language use is rather neglected.

Electronic learning tools contribute to the qualitative improvement in future dentists' training. The discipline "Propaedeutics of dental diseases" is the primary link in training a professional dental practitioner. The article presents the experience of teaching the discipline "Propaedeutics of dental diseases" with the use of electronic and information training technologies. It gives a qualitative assessment to modern teaching methods in the context of digitalization in higher education. The authors' experience in assessing second-year dental students' knowledge and skills in the lessons is described. The conclusion is made about advisability of using electronic tools in teaching, assessing students' knowledge, analyzing academic performance on the example of the "Online Test Pad". The main advantages of the test designer "Online Test Pad" in the work of a teacher are instant processing of the testing results and objective assessment of the student's knowledge.

The relevance of the study is conditioned by the increasing requirements for the quality of psychological and specialised training of modern primary school teachers, as well as the need to increase the level of their professional competences in the context of current changes in secondary education. The main purpose of this study is an objective analysis of the features of psychological and pedagogical training of future primary school teachers, carried out to determine the most effective and currently available methods of professional training of future teachers in higher educational institutions. The leading approach in this study was a combination of methods of system analysis of the training of future primary school teachers in the system of higher education and analytical research of modern methods of improving the psychological stability of future teachers and the development of their professional competences. The results of this study indicate the importance of the subject matter, the need to find new opportunities for pedagogical skills and psychological stability of future primary school teachers in the context of trends in the modern education system and in terms of prospects for its further effective development. The results and conclusions of this study are of great practical importance both for the compilers of curricula responsible for the final quality of professional training of future primary school teachers, and for teachers of higher education institutions who conduct classes on pedagogical and psychological training of these professionals and pedagogical university students that have chosen a specialty related to teaching in primary school

The article considers the problem of developing cultural competence of future primary school teachers during professional retraining (language teaching-learning). This problem is stated in the Federal State Educational Standards of Higher Professional Education. The author emphasizes that organizing work to develop cultural competence is a relevant pedagogical concern. Competency-based approach is a high-priority task. Its implementation is mandatory within the framework of new Federal State Educational Standards of Higher Professional Education that determine the training objectives in the form of competencies which are necessary for modern teachers in their professional activities. To address the problem the author suggests using historical documents and archives as additional methodological tools during the compulsory courses study (“Theoretical Bases and Technologies of Primary Language Education”, “Theoretical Bases of Primary Literary Education”) of the 44.03.01. Pedagogical Education (Primary Education) curriculum. According to the author, mastering linguistic disciplines will be successful, if there are vivid examples from regional texts illustrating how a language unit functions and evolves. As a result, it will lead to the developing cultural competence of future primary school teachers.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to determine the level of intrinsic motivation of primary-school-age children alongside the factors that influence these levels when learning English. Design/methodology/approach This goal was reached through a study that was conducted in four educational establishments of Tyumen. The study benefits from qualitative and quantitative methods. The qualitative part consists of an experiment in a group setting. Two groups of students were learning under two different programmes and the teachers were making records of student outcomes, interest in learning and motivation. The findings demonstrate that the level of motivation/interest is higher when interactive techniques (appropriate for the age of students) are in use. The quantitative part involved a survey to identify intrinsic motivations by completing which the students revealed high and medium levels of motivation/interest to learn. Findings The findings can be used when updating or re-designing education programmes and when creating new methods for teaching English in Russian educational establishments. Originality/value Giving the schoolchildren a motivation to learn is, without any exaggeration, one of the central problems in modern school. Teaching English as a foreign language to students of younger age (schoolchildren) requires a special approach due to special psychological and mental characteristics that these students have. The scholars have established that learning of foreign languages happens best at a very young age. However, without proper methods of teaching, teachers will not be able to reach the learning objectives, which they were attempting to reach. The reason for this effect is simple. The way the subject is taught is expected to spark interest but with the lack of interest in the subject, students will not feel sufficiently motivated to actually learn something. Hence, motivation is essential for learning any foreign language. In the home setting, motivation to learn, as well as a positive learning environment, is the responsibility of parents.

This study investigated the Israeli primary school teachers' attitudes towards using digital educational games in classroom. Through adopting a descriptive analytical approach, the required made sure that the goals of this research. The researcher employed the purposive sampling method for selecting a sample. The selected sample consists from 300female and male primaryIsraeli primary school teachers. Those teachers were selected from 25 primary schools. Those schools are located in the Northern District in Israel. Questionnaire forms were distributed via email to the selected teachers. 288 forms were retrieved. The response rate is 96%. Through the use of the SPSS software, the data collected from the sampled teaches were analysed. The researcher concluded that Israeli primary school teachers show positive attitudes towards using digital educational games in classroom. Such use improves students’ leadership, problem solving and critical thinking skills and raise their self-confidence and academic achievement levels. However, it doesn’t allow instructors to identify the extent of progress achieved by learner. The researcher recommends providing teachers in Israel with professional development courses about modern teaching methods and the significance of employing digital educational games.

The factors which defined what Geological elements and how are being taught in Greek Elementary Schools are not only included in the National Curriculum Programs and in the Textbooks. The very few teaching hours of the subjects in which are included, the poor school-libraries and the absence of specialized training of the Primary schools teaching staff have an important role also. An additional role has the absence of modern thought for the specific problems of the Geological subject matter and the needs of educational process. This study deals with the evaluation and presentation of the Geological subject matter of the textbooks in Primary Education, as it is referred in Geography of the last two years in school. Also, the potentials and perspectives of enriching the Geological matter through the Textbooks "Study of the Environment", which are taught during the first four years of Primary schools are presented. Indicative examples on development and implementation of geological knowledge in practice are suggested, according the principles of Environmental Education, splendidly covering as well, the teaching and learning targets of this subject.

The article is devoted to the use of the technology “Writing and Thinking” in studying disciplines of the general education cycle in non-linguistic universities. In the last decade, modern education has been undergoing transformation and rethinking both in the field of the educational process and its role in the development of modern society as a whole. Education based on the model of liberal arts and sciences meets modern requirements for university graduates who must have a full range of socio-cultural, communicative and value-semantic competencies. This teaching model also changes the role of the teacher, who was traditionally perceived as a one-sided translator of educational information. Central to this approach to education is working with text. Most often, such a text is not paragraphs from textbooks and teaching aids, but original texts (articles by authors on the topic under study, documentary primary sources, etc.).

The development of methods of foreign language teaching using song materials is one of the most pressing problems of foreign language teaching in modern practice. The purpose of this article is to describe the experience of using song materials of Russian composers and poets translated into English in the practice of foreign language teaching in primary and secondary schools. The research objectives are to identify and experimentally describe the translated song materials and test the author's methodology for its use. The aim of the study is also to find out peculiarities of psychological and emotional features of the perception of educational material by students via personal perception of song lyrics. Methods of theoretical analysis and comparison, as well as conducting an experiment to test the author's methods of foreign language teaching, which allow to solve the tasks and achieve the goals of the study, has been used. As a result of the research, new data were obtained on the use of song materials in foreign language teaching. Also, a teaching methodology, based on the principle of combining structural, pragmatic, cultural, prosodic and communicative aspects of teaching a foreign language, was formed.

Abstract Didactic paths play a very important part in modern education, on the primary school level as well as at universities. Beside other things, they let students compare book knowledge with the real world. Unfortunately, there are only a few geographical didactic paths, as opposed to those in history or science. The new offer for preparing methodological geographical paths begins with an analysis of documents as a curriculum model or a syllabus with chosen items to be taught which can be discussed during outdoor lessons and finally examines the area which fulfils a large number of requirements. It is possible that in this way of preparing methodological geographical paths the boring, monotonous area will give many possibilities to discuss teaching items.
