Under denna rubrik gör Eva Lundgren här en kritisk läsning av två nyutkomna böcker om Simone de Beauvoir. Claude Francis och Fernande Gontiers biografi Simone de Beauvoir bygger - förutom på författarens egna memoarer - också på intervjuer och ett unikt brevmaterial. Boken ger en snabb överblick över de Beauvoirs liv och författarskap, men i jämförelse med de Beauvoirs egna självbiografiska texter står den sig slätt och har egentligen ingenting nytt att tillägga. Mary Evans bok Simone de Beauvoir, A Feminist Mandarin har karaktären av en uppgörelse med den moderna kvinnorörelsens grand old lady, skriver Eva Lundgren. Problemet med Evans arbetssätt är att hon avläser de Beauvoirs liv och verk efter en feministisk modell, som gör henne blind för komplexiteten i denna rika värld och som gör att hon ofta intar en moraliserande hållning gentemot de Beauvoir.

U radu se uz kratki politički portret političkog djelovanja Stjepana Radića tijekom Velikog rata (1914. — 1918.) autor fokusira na jedan povijesni izvor, odlomak iz memoara člana češke Maffie Hrvata i Dubrovčanina Rudolfa Giunia koji govori o “političkom preokretu” Stjepana Radića u proljeće 1918. godine iz habsburškog legitimista u pristašu južnoslavenskog ujedinjenja. Rad razmatra kako su taj izvor hrvatska i jugoslavenska historiografija tumačile i upotrebljavale. Prema izglednim pretpostavkama hrvatski povjesničar Bogdan Krizman pronašao je taj izvor krajem 1950-ih i često ga koristio u svojim radovima, uglavnom samo prepričavajući ili sažimajući njegov sadržaj, ali nikada ga ne navodeći u cjelini ili kao povijesnu građu u bilješkama. Stoga se ovdje taj odlomak iz Giunijevih memoara, koji govori o Radićevu djelovanju u to vrijeme, zbog njegove važnosti daje na kraju ovoga rada u prijepisu. Cjeloviti memoari R. Giunia čuvaju se u rukopisu u Nacionalnoj i sveučilišnoj knjižnici u Zagrebu.

Memoar is a record of the journey of individual life story after being written to be a very memoriable creation. This research is about adverbial phrase (FKet.) in memoar teks. The objectives of the research (1) Determine the construction form of FKet. in Memoar Menjadi Pegiat Literasi text. (2) Describe the types of FKet. Memoar Menjadi Pegiat Literasi text. (3) Formulate the semantic range (homonymy system) of FKet in Memoar Menjadi Pegiat Literasi text. This type of research is a qualitative description. Data is in the form of sentences containing FKet. derived from written data sources. Data collection techniques used refer to the technical read and note. The analysis uses the split method and the referential equivalent The Results: (1) FKet construction form in the form of FKet construction of exocentric place, FKet construction form in the form of exocentric and apositive. 2) FKet type in the form of place, time, method, accompaniment, and cause. (3) semantic range (homonymy system) in Memoar Menjadi Pegiat Literasi text based on time and place. Abstrak Memoar sebagai catatan perjalanan kisah hidup seseorang, setelah ditulis menjadi ciptaan yang sangat berkesan. Penelitian ini mengenai frasa keterangan (FKet.) dalam teks Memoar. Abstract: Autobiography can be thought of as, among other things, a speech of defence. The Estonian-Finnish author Hella Wuolijoki started writing her autobiography in prison and it very much reads as a legitimization of her political life choices. The article investigates how Wuolijoki depicts her own politicization, and how she plays with different author names in order to destabilize a taken-for-granted author position. The material used is her three part autobiography/memoirs, in which she explicitly declares that she is less interested in the facts of her life, but rather wants to keep them in their original memory-form. This gives her the freedom to recount events she deems important for her self-formation, rather than events or general interest. Feminist and autobiographical theory is used as a tool to investigate how dislodging the authorial position can open new ways of emphasising a woman’s political development. Thus, the literary formation of a political and feminist persona can be studied through her works. In this article I relate Wuolijoki’s writing to a way of theorizing the position of the political woman that could be found in Alexandra Kollontai’s pamphlet on the socialist New Woman written in 1918. The article analyses how Wuolijoki legitimizes her political activities by recounting her life as always intricately connected to contemporary political events. The article shows that political autobiography is a concept that can open new perspectives on women’s life writing and that the construction of an autobiographical persona that combines the concepts of woman and political may rely, as in this case, on types or models found in literature rather than life. Swedish: Självbiografi kan ses som, bland annat, ett försvarstal. Den estnisk-finska författaren Hella Wuolijoki började skriva sin självbiografi i fängelset för att legitimera sina politiska livsval. Artikeln undersöker hur Wuolijoki skildrar sin egen politisering och hur hon leker med olika författarnamn för att destabilisera en förgivet tagen författarposition. Det analyserade materialet utgörs av hennes självbiografi/memoarer i tre band i vilka hon explicit deklarerar att hon är mindre intresserad av fakta och snarare vill behålla händelserna så som hon minns dem. Detta ger henne friheten att behandla skeenden som hon anser viktiga för sin egen formering snarare än sådant som kan vara av allmänintresse. Feministisk och självbiografisk teori används som ett verktyg för att undersöka hur förskjutningen av författarens ställning kan öppna nya sätt att betona en kvinnas politiska utveckling. I artikeln jämför jag Wuolijokis skrivande med Alexandra Kollontajs sätt att teoretisera den nya kvinnan i pamfletten den socialistiska Nya Kvinnan från 1918. Artikeln analyserar hur Wuolijoki legitimerar sina politiska aktiviteter genom att ständigt relatera till samtida politiska händelser. Artikeln visar att en läsning ur ett politiskt självbiografiskt perspektiv kan öppna för nya perspektiv för kvinnors life-writing och att konstruktionen av ett självbiografiskt persona som kombinerar begreppen kvinna och politik, åtminståne i det här fallet, är beroende av typer och modeller som finns i skönlitteraturen snarare än livet.

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh keinginan untuk mengetahui Penyimpangan paham Islam di dalam novel Tuhan Izinkan Aku Menjadi Pelacur! Memoar Luka Seorang Muslimah dengan menggunakan analisis wacana sebagai dasarnya. Jenis Penelitian yang dilakukan oleh peneliti adalah jenis penelitian Deskriptif Kualitatif dengan data wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Pada penelitian ini, disini peneliti lebih menekankan untuk melihat penyimpangan paham Islam yang disampaikan melalui teks-teks yang terdapat dalam novel Tuhan Izinkan Aku Menjadi Pelacur! Memoar Luka Seorang Muslimah. Dalam hal ini peneliti menarik paham Islam dari tiga aspek, yakni aspek aqidah (keimanan), aspek ibadah, dan aspek akhlak yang nantinya akan di kaitkan pada penyimpangan paham Islam pada novel ini. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pada penelitian ini terdapat penyimpangan paham Islam yang terdapat dalam teks-teks novel Tuhan Izinkan Aku Menjadi Pelacur! Memoar Luka Seorang Muslimah mulai dari aspek aqidah (keimanan), ibadah dan akhlak.

I uppsatsen behandlas Tove Janssons barnlitterära roman Muminpappans memoarer. Avsikten är att analysera verkets berättarteknik, form och över- samt underliggande tematik. Tidigare forskning presenteras och vissa delar ifrågasätts. Metainslaget diskuteras, liksom ekonomiseringen. Det ekonomiska i romanen ses bland annat i Janssons återanvändning av sidokaraktärer inom ett och samma verk, samt genom hennes återkommande muminkaraktärer. Vid undersökningen av intertextuella paralleller görs kopplingar till flertalet genrer. Den tidigare forskningen har redan uppmärksammat likheter med den äldre memoarlitteraturenoch dessa likheter tas upp i uppsatsen. Dessutom görs en egen jämförelse mellan muminpappans företal och Jean Jacques Rousseaus självbiografiska verk Bekännelser. Andra intertextuella relationer nämns också, till exempel kopplingar till den romantiska heroiska hjälteberättelsen.Berättartekniken i Muminpappans memoarer analyseras och Janssons växlingar mellan detmoderna, sceniska och det traditionella, summerande framställningssättet uppmärksammas. Romanens vanligt förekommande metakommentarer undersöks och tolkningsbarheten ikommentarerna diskuteras. Uppsatsens senare del fokuserar på den tidigare forskningens utsagor om verketsövergripande tematik. Här lyfts ett flertal argument fram, och den tidigare forskningens teser angående tematiken beprövas och belyses. En akademisk avhandling där muminpappans bok analyserats grundläggande står i fokus för uppsatsens motargument. Avsnittet behandlar romanens parodiska inslag i kontrast till verkets underliggande tematik.

Den egna rösten kräver att vi ska våga visa vårt äkta och sårbara jag. Att våga ta plats handlar om att våga be om att bli sedd, vilket är en sårbar position. Skammen hindrar den egna rösten, hindar en från att våga ta plats. Vad som behövs är att vi ser vår sårbarhet som något värdefullt. Som något som gör oss mänskliga och kreativa. Genom medkänsla med oss själva och tillit till omvärlden, kan vi våga visa de sidorna och därmed bli modiga. Modiga fegisar som vågar erkänn att de är rädda. Kanske kan vi då bli något så oväntat som "lyckliga konstnärer". Och fånga alla de magiska ögonblick som är värda att fånga.

The purpose of this Masters thesis is to examine the representation of student life in Uppsala in the 1860s and 1870s in memoirs. This purpose is achieved by contextualising the memoirs in two different analyses. In the first, the representation of student life in the memoirs is compared to that in another literary genre, the university novel, and it is found that the two representational forms paint completely contradictory pictures, where in the novels the higher education is depicted as rotten and in dire need of reformation, whereas in the memoirs the system, albeit somewhat flawed, works. The memoirs and the novels thus seem to be competing systems of representation, created in different discourses, wherein the purpose and nature of higher education widely differed. In the second analysis, the examination of the memoirs is based on research concerning the nation building process in Sweden during the 19th century. The representation of student life in the memoirs fits well into this process, the stories of carnivals, of the drill of the special student militia and, especially, of the abundant student male choir singing, creates a picture of students as a defined societal group with a special political agenda. This place in society is idealized, the male choir singers are, for example, depicted as an avant-garde of national consciousness, and depicted as mainly harmonious

Tove Jansson was born in 1914 and died in 2001. She was a Finnish, though Swedish-speaking, novelist and painter. She wrote many books of which the Moomin books were the most popular. She wrote in total eight Moomin books (picture books not counted) of which some were rewritten one of more times. The first Moomin book appeared in 1945 and the last as late as 1970. Two Moomin books, Moominpappa at Sea and The Memoirs of Moominpappa, deals especially with the father in the Moomin family which is the character I have been most interested in. Several other studies have been done of the Moomin books, but none of them have had the dad and the gender relations between him and the mum as its focus. No earlier study has looked at the Moominpappa with masculinity studies as a tool for analysis. The main aim of this study was to find out how masculinity, unmanliness, femininity and gender relations are staged and problematized in two books by Tove Jansson: Moominpappa at Sea and The Memoirs of Moominpappa. I have also studied the construction of gender differences between the Moominpappa and the Moominmamma. The books have been read and then analyzed with psychoanalysis and masculinity studies as the main analyzing tools. The psychoanalysis has in parts been feministic. The result is that Moominpappa at Sea tells about a masculinity that is not working and about gender relations that has to be rebuilt in order to give the Moominpappa a sense of masculinity. The Moominmamma is oppressed and mostly fits herself into that gender relation, but she also makes her own world by painting the walls of the lighthouse tower and even manages to escape into her painting. The growing Moomintroll tries to find his own ways by moving away from the family and starts coming close to the frozen Groke which makes her dance and melt. In my analysis she is an abjected version of the Moominmamma and The Lighthouse Keeper as an abjected version of the Moominpappa.

This paper focuses on the subject of Simone de Beauvoir and how she creates her view of motherhood. With help from Toril Moi’s method – which she calls personal genealogy – as a standpoint I have read Beauvoir’s autobiography Memoirs of a Dutiful Daughter with and against her essay about women, The Second Sex.

The genealogy tries to understand the term ‘making’ and the idea of production or construction and the personal genealogy sees the subject – the person – as an extraordinarily complex effect of a whole network of different discourses or determinants. In order to be able to understand Beauvoir’s view on motherhood I have read her philosophy with and against the feminist philosopher Ulla M. Holm’s and the radical feminist Adrienne Richs’ theories about mothering and the institution of motherhood.

In Beauvoir’s other works I have also found keys to the patriarchal motherhood she writes about in The Second Sex. A motherhood she in her individual life dissociates herself from, and through which she creates her own self, when she ten years after The second Sex publishes the first volume in her autobiography. With help from Julia Kristeva’s theory about the abject my study also shows that the ”motherhood as slavery” that she runs away from has made engraving marks in her own body.

This thesis deals with the problems of genre and narrative techniques in two novels by the Swedish author Hjalmar Bergman, 1883-1931. Although regarded as one of the foremost novelists in Swedish literature, with novels such as Markurells i Wadköping, 1919, and Farmor och vår Herre, 1921, Bergman's narrative techniques have not previously been systematically analyzed. Instead critics have focussed either on the biographical and philosophical aspects of his work, or on the meaning of his specific use of symbols and metaphorical language. Hjalmar Bergman wrote more than twenty novels, a large number of plays, short stories, fairy tales and screenplays. His most innovative period was in the 1910s, which is also the period focussed on here. The study begins with the reception of the seven novels written from 1912 to 1918. These novels were considerably different from what the critics at the time were wont to expect. Consequently they had trouble understanding not only the purpose of the narrative techniques in the novels, but also in determining their specific genre and subject matter. The aim of this thesis is to demonstrate that by analyzing Hjalmar Bergman's narrative techniques, we can learn more about the genre of the novel, about its status in the Swedish literary institution of the 1910s, and about Hjalmar Bergman's contribution to its development in Sweden. For this purpose the methods of the Russian theorist of the novel, Mikhail Bakhtin, have proved to be useful. In the succeeding chapters two novels, Loewenhistorier, 1913 (Loewen Stories) and En döds memoarer, 1918 (The Memoirs of a Dead Man), are analyzed for a deeper understanding of Hjalmar Bergman's specific use of novelistic subgenres such as the adventure story, the picaresque, the Bildungsroman, the confession, the memoir etc. Hjalmar Bergmanhas been considered a 'pre-modernist' in Swedish prose fiction. If this is the case, it is not primarily because hetried to invent new ways of writing novels, but rather that he made use of seemingly well-defined genres, combining them in new and often surprising ways. He thereby investigates not only a subject matter or a protagonist, but also the relevance, with regard to the stories hesets out to tell, of the genre-bound plots and perspectives. The result is novels that are simultaneously highly structured and 'law-abiding', in accordance with their genre patterns, and characterized by a certain open-ended 'brokenness'. Nothing ever turns out as the reader might expect, judging from the genres used in the novels.

Resumo:
У овом раду пажња је усмерена је на истраживање корпуса литерарног материјала еротске садржине, односно књижевно-уметничких текстова с елементима еротског,који су обухваћени периодом од почетка осамнаестог до краја деветнаестог века. Циљ рада је редефинисање релевантаног корпуса еротске грађе у оквиру прозних и поетских књижевних текстова изабраног временског периода, те њихово прикључивање јединственом еротографском литерарном систему. Задатак и важност овог подухвата лежи у неопходности утврђивања позиције еротографије у српској књижевности, чије истраживање, разуме се, још увек нијезавршено. 
U ovom radu pažnja je usmerena je na istraživanje korpusa literarnog materijala erotske sadržine, odnosno književno-umetničkih tekstova s elementima erotskog,koji su obuhvaćeni periodom od početka osamnaestog do kraja devetnaestog veka. Cilj rada je redefinisanje relevantanog korpusa erotske građe u okviru proznih i poetskih književnih tekstova izabranog vremenskog perioda, te njihovo priključivanje jedinstvenom erotografskom literarnom sistemu. Zadatak i važnost ovog poduhvata leži u neophodnosti utvrđivanja pozicije erotografije u srpskoj književnosti, čije istraživanje, razume se, još uvek nijezavršeno.

Resumo:
U radu se, na osnovu memoara Ivana Vinarova, razmatra uloga komunista internacionalaca koji su se idejno i operativno profilisali u institucijama Kominterne, civilne obaveštajne službe SSSR-a (NKVD) ili u okviru vojno-obaveštajne strukture Crvene armije, u procesu komunističkog osvajanja vlasti na Balkanu, posebno u Bugarskoj. Znanje stečeno internacionalnim iskustvom je te kadrove izdvajalo u odnosu na „nacionalne komuniste“, ali i u odnosu na pripadnike balakanskih državnih administracija, što im je omogućilo da na Balkanu, kao i u drugim zemljama Evrope, izvedu socijalističku revoluciju.
