Abstract Technology is the science that studies processes, methods and operations run or applied onto raw materials, matters or data, in order to obtain a certain product. Information is the material signal able to launch a material reaction of a dynamic auto-tuning system for which the system is conditioned and finalized. Information Technology is the technology needed for handling (procuring, processing, storing converting and transmitting) information, in particular, with the use of computers [Longley, D. & Shain, M. (1985), p. 164]. The importance of IT in the economic growth and development is widely known, taking into account the impact that technology can have on the success and survival, or the failure of the economic activity of enterprises/organizations, IT offering various management information systems (MIS), executive and feedback segments, which all have important and beneficial implications in management and control.

We can see that the today’s management level of informations is not quite fully controlled in most businesses. Nowadays generation of information systems creates support for business processes with the aim of optimalization of these processes on the bases of experiences with similar business processes. Today’s information systems are at the level of data management or information management. Quite a few manage information processes in the area of tactical and strategic planning and almost no one manages processes in the areas of gathering, distribution and sharing of knowledge in business. We can say, that investments to the information technologies do not guarantee the successful way to the management of information and knowledge in business.

The research examines the field of Health Management Information Systems (HMIS) which are created and used in existing healthcare systems. It highlights the significance of HMIS as well as its advantages and drawbacks. Critical phases in the development of an HMIS are described in the methodology section. The existing findings support data-driven decision-making, improved patient care, cost savings, and higher data security. Among the difficulties include interoperability, data security, and workforce issues. In conclusion, HMIS is necessary for healthcare, requiring careful planning and investment to improve patient care, make the most of available resources, and ensure data security in a constantly evolving healthcare environment.

Anesthesia information management systems (AIMS) are rapidly gaining widespread acceptance. Aggressively promoted as an improvement to manual-entry recordkeeping systems in the areas of accuracy, completeness, quality improvement, billing, and vigilance, these systems record all patient vital signs and parameters, providing a legible hard copy and permanent electronic record. With well-documented financial incentives, as well as government subsidies, AIMS are becoming adopted at an unprecedented rate. With the goals of the federal government to enhance the use of the electronic medical record, there is an emerging belief that AIMS may soon be mandated, with more limited choices than currently available. As assessed by, and often in spite of the published evidence, concerns of practitioners still reflect many of the same concerns expressed in the editorial comments of the past.

The study emphasizes the importance of Management information systems (MIS) for corporate performance. Prior studies have been reviewed to substantiate theories that explain how Management information systems (MIS) affect corporate performance. Management information system (MIS) is providing information that relates to possible future events, efficiency, output rates, information on the effect of various events, that relate to the impact that the employees’ decision has on the performance of other departments. Furthermore, greater management information system capability leads to a higher degree of strategic performance. These and many other factors are suggested to be critical features of MIS that have a direct impact on financial and strategic performance of companies.
