Resumo:

Thought-Sampling scales used by Hurlburt and by Klinger were combined to form a single scale to determine the interdependency of factor patterns produced by the two separate thought-sampling rating scales. The new scale was administered to a group of subjects ( n = 80) who thought-sampled while viewing the movie Annie Hall. Factor analysis revealed the Hurlburt items and the Klinger items yielded factors orthogonal to one another. The lone exception was Hurlburt's Clear Thought factor which merged with Klinger's Visual Modality and Operantness factors.

Chajka Klinger, urodzona w Będzinie, była działaczką konspiracji żydowskiej w tamtejszym getcie. Jedna z założycielek ŻOB w Będzinie, została aresztowana przez Gestapo. Zwolniona po przesłuchaniach i torturach, uciekła z obozu przejściowego i w ukryciu zaczęła pisać wspomnienia dotyczące Ha-Szomer ha-Cair i podziemia będzińskiego. Udało się jej uciec z Polski i w 1944 r. dotarła do Palestyny

Resumo:

Debatten om islam og muslimer har – som en central dimension af debatten om integration – været en af de sidste årtiers mest ophedede og polariserede politiske debatter i Danmark. Forskningen har bl.a. kigget på mediernes rolle som videreformidlere såvel som skabere af forenklede og fortegnede forestillinger om islam og muslimer, fx gennem en selektiv udvælgelse af kilder og overfokusering på bestemte typer af historier. Men debatten har også rakt langt ind i forskningsfeltet, idet bestemte politikere gentagende gange har kritiseret både navngivne islamforskere og forskningsfeltet i sin helhed for at være ukritiske, hvis ikke direkte islamapologetiske. Denne artikel undersøger gennem anvendelse af autoetnografisk metode, hvordan debattens dikotomier indlejres i det konkrete møde mellem forsker og journalist, hvor de forskellige, fagligt baserede spørgehorisonter kan opleves som en gensidig mistillid, som kan udvikle sig til en decideret modvilje. Men artiklen beskriver også, hvordan modviljen blev udfordret i forbindelse med et usædvanligt samarbejde om at formidle en historie om en konflikt i Danmarks dyreste moske, Hamad bin Khalifa Civilization Center. Der er store forskelle på, hvordan henholdsvis forskere og journalister går til en historie, og hvad der i det hele taget skal til, for at noget er en (vigtig) historie. Disse forskelle forsvinder ikke og skal ikke overvindes, men hvis de bringes konstruktivt og nysgerrigt i spil, kan de bidrage til nyhedshistorier af såvel god journalistisk som akademisk kvalitet.

Resumo:

Simulation and modelling are powerful methods in computer aided therapy, rehabilitation monitoring, identification and control. The smart modular biosignal acquisition and identification system (SMoBAICS) provides methods and techniques to acquire electromyogram (EMG)- and electroneurogram (ENG)-based data for the evaluation and identification of biosignals. In this paper the author focuses on the development, integration and verification of platform technologies which support this entire data processing. Simulation and verification approaches are integrated to evaluate causal relationships between physiological and bioinformatical processes. Based on this we are stepping up of efforts to develop substitute methods and computer-aided simulation models with the objective of reducing animal testing. This work continues the former work about system identification and biosignal acquisition and verification systems presented in (Bohlmann et al., 2010), (Klinger and Klauke, 2013), (Klinger, 2014). This paper focuses on the next generation of an embedded data acquisition and identification system and its flexible platform architecture. Different application scenarios are shown to illustrate the system in different application fields. The author presents results of the enhanced closed-loop verification approach and of the signal quality using the Cuff-electrode-based ENG-data acquisition system.

Abstract Der Aufsatz beschäftigt sich mit Thomas Klings Schreibstil und Arbeitsweise vor dem Hintergrund seiner Rezeption der Lyrik und Prosa Friederike Mayröckers. Der Vergleich ihrer Gedichte weist technische Ähnlichkeiten, aber auch thematische Unterschiede auf. Ausgehend von Thomas Klings Lesespuren in Mayröckers Bänden und einer unveröffentlichten Notiz beleuchtet der Aufsatz eine Arbeitsweise, die mit der Wiederentdeckung Jean Pauls in der deutschsprachigen Literatur des 20. und 21. Jahrhunderts verbunden ist.The article examines Thomas Kling’s poetic style and writing process through his reception of Friederike Mayröcker’s work. A comparison of their poems shows technical similarities as well as thematic differences. The article follows Thomas Kling’s marginalia in Mayröcker’s collections and analyses an unpublished note by Kling. Thereby, it elucidates a writing process which is connected with the re-discovery of Jean Paul in 20th- and 21st-century German-language literature.

Aproximando os conceitos de autoficção e de performance, a partir sobretudo das discussões de Diana Klinger, Diana Taylor e Renato Cohen, adentraremos o projeto Não Escrever, de Paloma Vidal. Estaremos interessados em observar como as duas manifestações que percorrem seu projeto, oferecidas ao público em formato de performance e de livro-cartonero (prática argentina de confeccionar livros manualmente com papelão), convivem e integram de modo equilibrado o processo criativo da escritora. Discutiremos também como o elemento performático é relevante para a escrita de Vidal, na construção de sua escrita de si e na constituição de sua persona.

Resumo:

In this research paper a new temperature prediction method is proposed to predict the temperature in liver during thermal ablation which also takes in to account the blood flow cooling. The proposed method suggest a modification of Pennes bioheat transfer equation (PBHTE) inorder to more accurately predict the treatment temperature. The temperature elevation by the proposed heat transfer model is compared with the PBHTE model and the other two heat continuum models by Wulff and Klinger. Appropriate temperature prediction is useful in treatment planning. This may reduce the recurrence level of cancer. Further the reduction in treatment time increases patient safety.

Resumo:

Viene presentato l'adattamento italiano della misura quadri-fattoriale della motivazione a bere alcoolici (DMQ-R) proposta da Cooper (1994), sulla base del modello concettuale di Cox e Klinger (1988). Usando i dati di due campioni di adolescenti (N = 282) e giovani universitari (N = 238) e la tecnica dell'analisi fattoriale confermativa, viene fornita sostanziale conferma al modello quadri-fattoriale. Successive analisi mettono in relazione le motivazioni sottostanti alla fruizione di alcoolici con specifici aspetti di tale fruizione (frequenza di uso e di abuso di alcoolici, consumo di tipo solitario o sociale), evidenziando l'utilitŕ della scala e fornendo sostegno al modello teorico sottostante.
