Texto completo da fonteThis research is a qualitative study in environmental science and education sought to know how the presence of vegetation and contact with nature influence the experience of high school students in a technical institute Instituto Federal Goiano Câmpus Urutaí located in a rural area. Aims to identify which environmental features in rural area favor studies, know the physical, emotional and educational benefits are generated by the study in a countryside, in contact with nature, as well identify which educational practices and landscape elements need to be optimized to make the learning environment more enjoyable. The Grounded Theory has been used as scientific method of research that study a particular reality, seeking to develop a new scientific theory from analysis of data collected from interviews and field observations. The results of this research show that the learning environment, whenever immersed in nature, influences positively the learners mood and study capability, improves coexistence and health, and restoring emotional and cognitive capacity. It was further observed that nature contributes to the context of teaching, because it was used as teaching environment and courseware enabling the awareness of an ecological identity. And yet, was diagnosed the necessity to optimize the scenery, infrastructure and educational practices to make the learning environment more enjoyable.
Esta é uma pesquisa qualitativa em ciências ambientais e educação que trata sobre as influências que a vegetação e o contato com a natureza exercem sobre os estudos e a vivência dos alunos do ensino médio técnico de uma escola situada na zona rural Instituto Federal Goiano Câmpus Urutaí. Tem como objetivo identificar os aspectos ambientais rurais que favorecem os estudos, conhecer os benefícios físicos, emocionais e educacionais gerados pelo estudo na zona rural em contato direto com a natureza, bem como identificar quais práticas educativas e elementos da paisagem precisam ser otimizadas para tornar o ambiente de ensino mais agradável. O método científico utilizado foi a Teoria fundamentada em dados Grouded Theory , que estuda uma determinada realidade objetivando produzir novas teorias científicas a partir da análise de dados coletados em entrevistas e observações de campo. Os resultados encontrados revelam que o ambiente de ensino imerso na natureza influencia positivamente os estudos, melhora a convivência, as condições de saúde e promove a restauração emocional e cognitiva dos alunos. Observou-se ainda que a natureza contribui com o contexto do ensino ao ser utilizada como sala de aula e material didático, possibilitando o despertar de uma identidade ecológica. E ainda, foi diagnosticado que é preciso otimizar a paisagem, a infraestrutura e as práticas educativas para tornar o ambiente de ensino mais agradável.

Este trabalho narra, descreve e discute as ações socioeducativas e ambientais através de práticas culturais, promovidas pelo Instituto Arraial do Pavulagem em Belém e no interior do Pará, como: o Cordão do Peixe Boi; os arrastões da quadra junina; o Cordão da Cobra Grande, além de uma ação do Projeto Orube de Arte e Educação, projeto de extensão do Instituto no Conjunto Residencial Satélite, em uma escola estadual no Município de Ourém. O trabalho foi desenvolvido a partir do método qualitativo de pesquisa e à luz dos princípios teóricos e metodológicos da Educação Ambiental como educação política, descrevendo essas ações e discutindo seus resultados e como estes se relacionam com os princípios teóricos e metodológicos da Educação Ambiental, na expectativa de incentivar o cuidado com o meio ambiente e mudanças de postura nos sujeitos envolvidos nessas ações. Narra o processo de construção das ações Cordão do Peixe Boi em Belém; e na Ilha do Marajó, em Cachoeira do Arari, o Cordão do Gallo; e identifica os sujeitos, suas percepções, e o envolvimento destes nas atividades relacionadas à dimensão ambiental associada à cultura local, como a utilização de material reciclável em alegorias e instrumentos de percussão. Descreve os principais resultados e os impactos e mudanças de postura nos sujeitos envolvidos e na comunidade, numa tentativa de dar ampla visão sobre o trabalho do Instituto, tendo em vista a proposta de realizar na Amazônia a Educação Ambiental através de práticas culturais.
This work tells, describes and discusses the socioeducational and environmental actions of Instituto Arraial do Pavulagem in Belém and in other municipalities in the state of Pará through cultural practices such as Cordão do Peixe Boi, Arrastões da quadra Junina, Cordão da Cobra-grande and an action of the Orube Project of Art and Education, a axtension project of the Institute based in the residential area of Satélite in a municipal school in Ourém. Firstly, grounded on the qualitative research method and on theoretical methodological principles of Environmental Education as political education, this work describes the actions mentioned above as well as its results and how they relate to theoretical and methodological principles of Environmental Education in the hope that it will foster care for the environment and bring about change in the way individuals go about such actions. Secondly, this work gives an account of the development process of Cordão do Peixe Boi and Cordão do Gallo actions in Belém and Cachoeira do Arari respectively. Thirdly, it identifies its main actors, their perception and their relation to the practices and the environmental scope of their actions by relating it to the local culture, namely, the use of recyclable materials in production of floats and percussion instruments. Finally, it describes the its main results and their impact to and the thinking changes of the main actors in the community in an attempt to show in a wider picture the actions of the Institute, whose aim is to promote environmental education through cultural practices in the Amazon.

Texto completo da fonteThe environment has been the subject of several studies in almost every areas of knowledge. Thus, several studies have been published to clarify the environmental consequences of the growing impact of human actions. In the present study will address the co nsumption pattern, materials and natural resource economics, the applicability of environmental legislation and proper disposal of waste in the Biological Institute, linked to the Department of Agriculture of São Paulo State , in order to set guidelines for a public environmental management program. A diagnosis of the work already done by the institution revealed the existence of a Quality Management Program and a Waste Management Program , with specific and dependent actions o f the will of some persons. Later interviews were conducted by questionnaires assessing the environmental perception of employees. Data were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively, showing that there is some separation and disposal of waste, especially those from laboratories; there is no control of natural resource consumption and environmental actions are specific and dependent on a few people. There is a general interest on the part of employees in environmental improvements, but for this specific sec tor to develop a widely publicized program is needed. Studies of environmental perception are important in the search of tools to design programs of environmental management. The A3P proved to be the most appropriate tool for public institution to be focus ed on public administration, be free and take into account the individual interests of employees and collaborators, when compared to ISO 14001 and Sigma Program
O meio ambiente vem sendo estudo de muitas pesquisas em todas as áreas do conhecimento. D iversos trabalhos vêm sendo publicados para tentar esclarecer as consequências ambientais do impacto crescente das ações humanas. Este estudo aborda os padrões de cons umo de materiais e recursos naturais, assim como a destinação de resíduos em um órgão público, o Instituto Biológico, vinculado à Secretaria de Agricultura e Abastecimento do Estado de São Paulo , com o objetivo de definir diretrizes para um programa de ges tão pública ambiental . A partir de um diagnóstico inicial foi revelada a existência de um Programa de Gestão da Qualidade e de um Programa de Gestão de Resíduos , com ações ambientais pontuais e dependentes da vontade de algumas pessoas. Posteriormente fora m realizadas entrevistas por questionários semiestruturados avaliando a percepção ambiental dos funcionários . Os dados foram analisados qualitativa e quantitativamente, mostrando que existe separação e destinação de alguns resíduos, principalmente aqueles provenientes de laboratórios ; não existe controle de consumo de recursos naturais e as ações ambientais são pontuais e dependentes de algumas pessoas. Há um interesse geral por parte dos funcionários em melhorias ambientais, mas para isso é necessário um setor específ ico que desenvolva um programa amplamente divulgado. Estudos de percepção ambiental se mostraram importantes na busca de ferramentas para a elaboração de programas de gestão do meio ambiente. A A3P mostrou ser a ferramenta mai s adequada para órgãos públicos por ser focada na administração pública, ser gratuita e levar em consideração os interesses individuais de funcionário s e colaborador es , quando comparada à ABNT NBR ISO 14001 e Projeto Sigma

Texto completo da fonteEs esto último lo que pretendemos ilustrar, y nos centraremos en el estudio del Universo, es decir, en la Cosmología, que es considerada como una de las disciplinas más avanzadas y teóricas de la Física. Para contemplar los cambios epistemológicos que están desarrollando las Ciencias Naturales, primero ilustraremos las herramientas epistemológicas con que abordaba los fenómenos físicos la Ciencia Moderna, es decir, desde el Renacimiento hasta inicios de la Revolución Industrial. Con esto quedará asentada la diferencia que mostraremos cuando ilustremos las transformaciones en la manera de abordar los fenómenos de la Naturaleza (a través del siglo veinte y comienzos del veintiuno), y en particular, la historia del Universo, a partir de la teoría del Big-Bang (que es la teoría central acerca del posible origen del cosmos) y de dos autores centrales: Ilya Prigogine (físico, químico y filósofo belga de origen ruso, Premio Nobel de Química en 1977) y Hubert Reeves (canadiense, Doctor en astrofísica nuclear en Cornell University, Estados Unidos).

Texto completo da fonteSUMMARY This research seeks to enter into the methodological practice of teachers of natural sciences in high school in the Dominican Republic. It is the result of a personal concern while observing for years the daily work of science teachers, and in which I was involved too. It is aimed, first, to explore and describe the conception that teachers have about natural sciences teaching, using an instrument for such purposes (Porlán, Rivero, and Martín Del Pozo, 1997). In a second term, it was studied and characterized the teaching / learning model -traditional or alternative - that can be seen in the teachers’ classroom performance while teaching natural sciences in high school. The geographical area taken for this research was the province of Monseñor Nouel in the Dominican Republic. For a first quantitative phase, we contacted 61 high school science teachers who completed the questionnaire. On the other hand, for a second qualitative phase of the research, there were done 46 periods of observation in 12 educational centers, in morning and evening schedules. The data obtained were processed using descriptive statistics for the questionnaire and grounded theory for the observations. The results obtained with the Questionnaire show teachers who know the postulates for alternative education, while believing in the traditional postulates. However, observations show teachers with a strong traditional current in their teaching practice. The results, although we are aware that do not allow to establish general conclusions, we believe that they do provide a partial picture of what may be happening in the Dominican schools in the practice of Science teaching.

Texto completo da fonteThe purpose of this research was to study students Interest toward natural sciences and Perception of natural science as well as school natural science courses. It also aimed to explore gender and school grade level differences in interest toward natural sciences as well as perception of natural science. Participants were 456 students from three co-educational public schools, who study in 6th grade of elementary school level and in 10th grade of high school. These schools were selected from a list of schools that had the poorest outcomes (beginners level and prebeginners level) in the Students’ Censal Assessment in Mathematics and Reading Comprehension of 2015. Interest was understood as a long term commitment and implication with specific objects or issues, that hence will generate cognitive, emotional and instrumental bonds. Such bond will help the students to built a sense of motivation, self-efficacy and a will to receive feedback and improve their knowledge. Interest for the Natural Science Scale (based on Renninger & Hidi, 2016) and the Perception of Natural Sciences and Courses of Natural Science (based on the Bulunuz y Jarrett, 2009) were constructed for the purpose of this research. Both Spanish version were linguistically were analyzed with factor analyses and Cronbach’s Alpha Coefficient. As result of these analyses items of The Interest for Natural Science Scale were grouped in four factors: 1) Voluntary approach, current and future, toward natural science, 2) Preffered attention and liking of science related issues and activities provided by others (family, school or community), 3) Curiosity for learning and deepening knowledge about science; and 4) Enjoyment and curiosity for specific, natural, biological, mechanical and cosmic phenomenon, among others. Psychometric results showed that the Perception of Natural Science scales were unidimensional. The results indicated differences by grade level both in the interest for the sciences and for each factor of the scale of interest, the perception of the natural sciences and the courses of the subject. In this sense, they were discussed the consequences of this study for generating strategies that appeal student to feel interest about the scientific courses and reflections about the planning of the Peruvian educational curricula in related to develop of these courses.

Texto completo da fonteThe Regional Natural Park of the Pantanal is an area with approximately 1.400.000 hectares, the sum of the farm areas located in Mato Grosso do Sul, on the plain of Pantanal Mato- Grossense, comprehending the rural part of the municipalities of Aquidauana (80%), Rio Verde de Mato Grosso (50%), Corumb? (40%) and Miranda (40%). The Park, organised in private areas, incorporates an innovative experience: it was created in 2002 with a proposal of local development. Its differential: the owners? commitment is free, which leads to the existence of discontinuous areas and to practices of diversified economic activities. The Chartre?s premises (The Park?s Letter) will be established by representatives of the regional farmers, the local community, the State and the municipalities involved, the ville portes , compatible with the convention of sustainable development. The model adopted was based on the French natural parks, and this is the first experience outside France. The Park tries to foment economic activities other than the pre-existing cattle raising, but complementary to it: pousadas pantaneiras (Pantanal inns), Pantaneiro veals, park schools; biodiversity with jaguars and with cougars. All of these are connected with tourism, and are compatible with the permanence of men in their place, keeping their habits and their culture in a unique environment. During the elaboration of this thesis, the park was in a delicate situation because the Instituto Parque do Pantanal (Pantanal Park Institute) - its managing institution - was going through a crisis, with difficulties to negotiate its institutionalization process with the relevant actors, aspects which reflected on the Park consolidation. The crisis comes from contradictions and conflicts inherent to the area complexity: environment protection, valorisation of nature and landscape, on the one hand; and its economic appropriation, interests, wishes to modernize traditional culture, on the other. Despite the crisis and difficulties, we stand that the Pantanal Natural Park has enormous potential and was able to integrate, recreate and deal with local development, from the convention of sustainable development and sustainable tourism, reinventing, thus, the Pantanal.

(40%) e Miranda (40%). O Parque, organizado em ?reas privadas, incorpora uma experi?ncia inovadora: foi criado em 2002 como uma proposta de desenvolvimento local. Sua diferen?a: a ades?o dos propriet?rios ? livre, o que leva ? exist?ncia de ?reas descont?nuas e a pr?ticas de atividades econ?micas diversificadas. As premissas na Charte (Carta do Parque) ser?o estabelecidas por representantes dos fazendeiros da regi?o, da comunidade local, do Estado e das prefeituras da ?rea, as ville portes , compat?veis com a conven??o do desenvolvimento sustent?vel. O modelo adotado baseou-se nos parques naturais franceses e se trata da primeira experi?ncia fora do territ?rio franc?s. O Parque busca fomentar atividades econ?micas distintas da pecu?ria pr?-existente, mas que lhe sejam complementares: as pousadas pantaneiras, as escolas do Parque, o vitelo pantaneiro e a biodiversidade com a on?a-pintada e com a on?a-parda. Todas essas atividades est?o ligadas ao turismo e s?o compat?veis com a perman?ncia do homem no lugar, mantendo seus costumes e sua cultura em um ambiente ?nico. Na fase de elabora??o da tese, o Parque encontrava-se em momento delicado, em virtude de o Instituto do Parque do Pantanal, institui??o que o administra, estar em crise, com dificuldades de negociar, com os atores relevantes, o seu processo de institucionaliza??o, o que se refletia na prec?ria consolida??o do Parque. A crise adv?m de contradi??es e conflitos inerentes ? complexidade da ?rea: prote??o ambiental, valoriza??o da natureza e da paisagem, por um lado; e sua apropria??o econ?mica, anseios de moderniza??o da cultura tradicional e interesses, por outro. A despeito da crise e das dificuldades, sustenta-se que o Parque Natural do Pantanal tem potencial e logrou integrar, recriar e problematizar o desenvolvimento local, a partir da conven??o do desenvolvimento e do turismo sustent?vel, reinventando o Pantanal.

Texto completo da fonteSince the beginning of 19th century, as a fundamental axis for the construction of the nation, the State of Chile promoted a series of educational policies, intellectualized and executed by the ruling elite, in order to assert the State on a political level and build the ideal of a unified nation, under aspects as history and customs. The national museums were among the entities that gave physical support to this ideology. The first museum institution in Chile, The National Museum, conforms the aim of study of this research. Its main objective is to understand how this institution was projected and developed as part of a State policy, and its relation with the construction of a scientific culture and the representation of a national identity. This process is studied in a temporal period that extends between 1813 and 1929. Through its chapters the study defines the different moments of development of The National Museum, its objectives and administrative and museographic characteristics, describing continuities and changes. At the same time, its study how the relation of the National Museum with the State is outlined, to what extent the governmental apparatus intervened in the development of the institution and the objectives that were established in time. The research also recognise who intervened in the definition and execution of the museographic-educational project developed by the National Museum, both at managerial and executive level. It describes the objects included in the collections, highlighting differences and permanence over time, how they were arranged in the exhibitions, and the internal variations of the script or theme that was wanted to be stand out in relation to the representation of the nation and the construction of a collective identity. Likewise, the study recognizes the collections provenance, with an accent on the formation of support networks, distinguishing scientific figures and institutions involved both nationally and internationally. Finally, conclusions are delivered taking up all the ideas expressed in the previous chapters and it turns to revisit objectives and hypotheses, giving a general and compelling overview of the development of the National Museum in the studied period.

Texto completo da fonteThe aim of the present work is to describe the helminth communities of tow marine birds, the Magellanic penguin (Spheniscus magellanicus) as a model of stenophagic species and the Kelp gull (Larus dominicanus) as a model of euryphagic species. Taking into account the different trophic behavior of these birds it was analyzed the diversity and the parasite community structure. Twenty-seven penguins and twenty-nine gulls were collected along the Península Valdés coasts, Chubut province, Argentina. Additionally, four penguins found in Mar del Plata coast, Buenos Aires province, were prospected. Spheniscus magellanicus harbored six helminth species: 2 cestoda (Tetrabothrius lutzi and Tetrabothrius n. sp-;Tetrabothriidae-), 1 digena (Cardiocephaloides physalis-Strigeidae-), 2 nematoda (Cosmocephalus obvelatus –Acuariidae- and Contracaecum pelagicum-Anisakidae) and 1 acantocefala (Corynosoma sp.-Polymorphidae-). The helminth fauna of Larus dominicanus was constituted by 19 species: 3 cestoda (Tetrabothrius sp., -Tetrabothriidae- and 2 uncertain Dilepididae); 10 digenea (Himasthla escamosa and Stephanoprora sp.-Echinostomatidae-, Odhneria odhneri, Maritrema sp. 1 and Maritrema sp. 2, -Microphallidae-, Bartolius pierrei and 1 uncertain genus-Gymnophallidae, Parorchis acanthus -Philophtalmidae-, Brachylecithum (Brachylecithum) sp.-Dicroceoelidae- and 1 uncertain Diplostomidae); 4 nematoda (Cosmocephalus obvelatus and Paracuaria adunca-Acuariidae-, Contracaecum sp. larvae-Anisakidae- and 1 uncertain Capillaridae) and 2 acantocefala (Corynosoma sp. and Profilicollis sp.-Polymorphidae-). The infracommunity level analyzes showed that the helminth species of S. magellanicus in Península Valdés have a specific location along the digestive tract and their distribution is not affected neither by inter nor intra-specific relations. Nevertheless, Corynosoma sp. showed a little degree of intraspecific competence. The community was conformed by one core species (T. lutzi), three secondary species (C. physalis, C. pelagicum, Corynosoma sp.) and one satellite species (C. obvelatus). The similarity between the infracommunities was high duo to the existence of a group of species that frequently co-occur. In the community of Larus dominicanus were registered both inter and intraspecific relations, suggesting the competence by the same resource. The community was characterized by a high number of secondary and satellite species without association, conferring scare similarity between infracommunities. The helminth community of S. magellanicus, fit with the "trade-off" model - prevalent and abundant species are host - specific-. This model is frequently observed in fishes. In contrast, the helminth species of L. dominicanus showed intermediate features between the "trade-off" model and the "broad-resource" model. This last model is frequently observed in birds, and is characterized by prevalent and abundant species, which ones are not specific. The features observed in S. magellanicus (e. g. low richness, scare interactions) permit to define an "isolationist" community, frequently found in ectothermic hosts. Larus dominicanus has mixed characteristics, most of them define an "interactive" community (e. g. high richness, inter and intraspecific relations) common in endothermic animals. The stenophagic behavior of the Magellanic penguin reduces the incorporation of helminth species and favors the co-occurrence between them, while the euryphagic behavior of the Kelp gull is reflected in a higher richness. These results indicate that the diet is an important factor in determine the helminthes community structure and the predictability of the infracommunities is possible only when the diet of the host is stenophagic and is stable along the time. Comparing the present results with those found by previous authors, it is possible to observe that the specific richness of Larus dominicanus in Península Valdés is higher than in others localities. This suggests that the diet of the gulls in this area is more natural and diverse than those coming from others habitats (e. g. landfills, continental areas, others marine coasts). The composition of the helminth fauna of penguin from Mar del Plata suggest that these specimens come from another breeding colony that the remaining samples, where the availability of the items preys are different. The study of the helminth communities allow us to know the variations in the diet of populations of the same host species.
