Musical performance represents a secondary creation of musical works, necessitating performers to possess a high level of artistic cultivation and a deep understanding of the artistic style inherent in the music. Performers must bring unique aesthetic characteristics to their performances. The performer's personality, temperament, and experience, along with the local cultural background, influence the artistic style in musical performance. Therefore, performers must specifically analyze these influencing factors and explore methods of artistic expression in musical performance. By accurately understanding and interpreting musical works, performers can achieve a perfect rendition.

Raphael, the most important artist in the heyday of the Renaissance, influenced the artistic development of Europe during the Renaissance and more areas in the future with his unique painting style and deep pursuit of ideal beauty. The formation of Raphael's artistic style comes from the background of his Renaissance, his life experience, and the influence of artists of the same period. This paper studies the formation of Raphael's painting style: the background of the Renaissance provided a unique condition for Raphael's painting creation, which catalyzed and formed his unique personal style; The further formation of Raphael's painting style was greatly influenced by outstanding artists from all over the world at the same time. In the end, Raphael formed his own style in the later period of his creative career, which can rival or even surpass other artists: harmonious pictures, exquisite coloring techniques, and the ideal human beauty displayed in the pictures. Furthermore, while Raphael was influenced by other painters' styles, Raphael also had an important influence on painters of the same period and future generations.

The purpose of the article is to discover the mechanism of Kyiv Metropolitans influence processes in the monumental painting of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra. The research methodology is based on complex using historical and cultural analysis, art study analysis, hermeneutical and biographical methods. Scientific novelty. Based on archival materials the author determines the specific means of Kyiv Metropolitans influence the evolution and preservation of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra’s sacral painting in 1786–1917. This influence is investigated in the theoretical and practical aspects. The scheme of the Metropolitans influences the mural painting processes is revealed: the Spiritual Council (preparatory stage) – Metropolitan (decision) – the head of the painting workshop (responsible for fulfillment) − artists (fulfillment). The Metropolitans leading role in forming the painting programs of temples and preserving the Lavra’s artistic tradition has been proved. Conclusions. In theoretical works, reports to the Holy Synod the Metropolitans gave thoughts and facts that entered the art history of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra. They directly influenced the artistic process: controlled and directed the processes of evolution and preservation of mural painting, financial and personnel issues. Their influence was implemented in visas and codicils (visas were an information basis for painting dating). Their orders were performed by the head of Lavra’s painting workshop (icon-painting workshop). Metropolitans took care of preserving Lavra’s artistic traditions and artistic features of painting compositions. Heads of the painting workshop ensured the continuity in mural paintings, they followed the imitation principle. The interpretation of the artistic tradition was reflected in new mural paintings. Metropolitans determined the painting programs of Lavra’s churches.

Following World War II, French police surveillance in Algeria increasingly focused on the threat of Algerian nationalism and policing theater proved no exception. The police assiduously investigated the contents of plays and the background of performers, seeking to determine whether a performance could be considered “purely artistic.” In cracking down on theater, the police attempted to produce “pro-French” art that could influence Algerian loyalties, a cultural civilizing mission carried out by the unlikely figure of the beat cop. Ultimately, their mission failed. Live performances presented an opportunity for spontaneity and improvisation that revealed the weakness of colonial policing. In this article, I argue that in trying to separate art from politics, the police created an impossibly capacious idea of the political, giving officers justification for inserting themselves into intimate moments of daily life. The personal, the interpersonal, and the artistic became a realm of police intervention.

Abstract Worldwide trainers ask if there is a rotation scheme, which facilitate the learning of the elements with longitudinal rotations. Although there are some research on it, they did not attempt to verify a total scheme, but merely to see the relationship between two elements or four elements. In this study we analyse the appreciation of experts N = 161 coaches (age: 34.9 ± 10.9) from different levels of expertise and from different countries (ARG, BOL, BRA, CHI, ECU, ELS, GER, GUA, HON, MEX, PAN, PER, URU, VEN) with 12 ± 8.8 years of experience regardinghow gymnasts should execute 27 different elements in 5 male apparatus. We chose these elements, because we wanted to have movements with rotation in upright stance, upside down and in combination with transversal rotation. Through a questionnaire for coaches, we tried to verify if there are differences, coincidences or even immovable rules in the rotation scheme that gymnasts use (or should use). The answers were typologized with three categories of rotational preference: unilateral consistent twister, bilateral consistent twister and inconsistent twister. The study aimed to answer several questions: Do coaches agree on how the rotation scheme should be in gymnastics? How do coaches (former gymnasts) determined which way to turn? Do the handedness or the footedness influence on the direction of rotation? Does the personal rotation scheme influence on the concept of appropriate rotation scheme? Do the national practices influence the rotation scheme? Are there differences in appreciation between coaches at different levels? Are unambiguous rules among the elements?

The conclusions about the influence of sculptural material on the disclosure of an image that uses its natural properties as signs of its own content (pattern, texture, hue, etc.) are made. It is proved that the material does not play a primary role in form and image projection, but it often directs the artist's opinion in a certain direction of form layout and embodiment of artistic image. Emphasis is placed on the practice of sculpture symposia and the associated technique of direct carving in stone, which have directly influenced the process of updating the image and plastic consciousness of Ukrainian artists since the second half of the 1980s.

The subject of the research is the developments of the modern Ukrainian artist Evgeniya Gapchinskaya, who is now successfully working in various fields of art and design, ranging from jewelry and book graphics to monumental mural art. The purpose of the work is to investigate the specifics of the artistic language of the named artist in the context of the development of modern mass culture. The methodology of the work is based on a combination of chronological and the principle of scientific comprehensiveness, art history, design and culturological approaches, ontological, axiological, hermeneutic, historical-comparative, cross-cultural and art history analysis methods. The results of the work allow us to understand the secrets of E. Gapchinskaya's success in the field of contemporary art and design. The scope of application of the results – artistic and design practices of the present, history, theory and criticism of art, teaching activities for students and graduate students of creative specialties. Findings. It was found that the artistic language of Yevhenia Gapchinskaya was formed under the influence of Ukrainian and German artistic traditions. Taking into account the one-year internship in Nuremberg at the beginning of the formation of the artistic language, the author was inspired in her artistic searches by the impulses of the high art of the Northern Renaissance and mannerism. In particular, the work of I. Bosch and P. P. Bruegel the Elder (Peasant), whose phantasmagoric language still has a significant impact on the work of young European artists. Also, the formation of the artistic originality of Evgenia Gapchinskaya's handwriting was significantly influenced by the Dutch and Flemish art of the 17th – 18th centuries, headed by Frans Halls and Rembrandt van Rijn, and individual searches for Baroque-Rococo artists from other European countries – J. B. Greuze and T. Gainsborough. In general, the specific artistic and figurative manner of E. Gapchinskaya was influenced by the artist's appeal to related areas of knowledge – nail design, creative work with plastic, environmental design, advertising, image-making, art gallery business, restoration, art management, marketing, logistics and the like.Key words: artistic manner of creativity, Evgeniya Gapchinskaya, Ukraine, the beginning of the XXI century.

In this study, we examined whether exposure to art can promote an abstract mindset. Specifically, based on construal level theory, we tested the relationship between artistic cues and an abstract mindset, and how this mindset could in turn impact prosocial choice. Experiment 1 ( N = 54) revealed that artistic cues lead participants to consider more abstract features than concrete features. In Experiment 2 ( N = 83), it was shown that the effect of artistic cues on an abstract mindset is mediated by psychological distance. In addition, this abstract mindset was shown to mediate the link between artistic cues and prosocial choice. The findings of this study highlight the mechanisms that extend the effects of art beyond preference to choice and thought.

The purpose of the research is to identify the spheres of influence of H. Khotkevych’s artistic activity on the development and transformation of kobzarism and bandura in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. The research methodology is based on the principles of objectivity and historicism, which correspond to historical, cultural and axiological approaches. Specific scientific methods are applied: organological and musicological analysis, which allows to identification of trends in the evolution of the kobza tradition and bandura playing and to specify the spheres of influence of H. Hotkevych’s creative potential on genre modifications. The scientific novelty of the study is to expand the understanding of the influence of H. Khotkevych’s work on the transformation of the kobza tradition and bandura playing in the socio-cultural context of the era. Conclusions. H. Hotkevych’s creative nature is characterized by intellectual ambivalence – “coherence of the inconsistent”. The artist’s work is characterized by internal contradictions and attempts to provide innovative characteristics that are not peculiar to the tradition: the domestic sphere – the concert sphere; di-atonicity– chromatization; traditionalism – modernism; improvisation – note fixation; solo – collective; ethno-regional schools of folk professionalism – institutionalization of the academic program; individual kobza and bandura styles – academic bandura with a unified style. Thus, Hnat Khotkevych’s activities led to inconsistencies and contradictions in determining the main vector of the development of kobza and bandura art. In particular, many changes took place: the decline of traditional kobza and bandura playing; the introduction of chromaticism, which made it difficult to master bandura performance techniques; a change in emphasis from folk diatonic to chromatic academic bandura led to the decline of salon music; and the loss of listener interest in authentic repertoire. Thus, the desire to “stabilize” and “unify” the instrument displaced one of the main features of kobza music – an individual style and original tuning.

Despite facing serious financial hardships, he utilized his artistic abilities aptly and stamped an unerasable shadow of his artistic self on Urdu Literature that will remain with it till the point time this literature will exist. Majeed Amjad, who had been ignored through the efforts of belittling, receives strong impressions of what is all around him and also he gets influenced by the poets and literary artists of the West. As a result of it, he produced such works of art that were apparently seen as derived from the western art canon. Despite western influence, his work stands alone as of independent stature without any blame for plagiarism or even for flat production of copying foreign content. The present work will investigate the western influence and its imprints upon the poetry of Majeed Amjad, and we will try to understand those nooks and corners of his poetry which are not much known to a systematic critical investigation to date. This research, hence, will open up new pathways for fresh researchers who would invest their critical insight into Amjad’s such poetic interpretations that have remained under surface. Through the present research, we will try to introduce a renewed Majeed Amjad who, despite having been influenced by the western artistic tradition, remained successful in establishing his own independent artistic identity. In our present investigative attempt, we will also explore his artistic independence by looking at whether he succeeded not in establishing his own voice even after absorbing western influence. This research will primarily engage such questions for the consequent debate in the analytical chapters. Hence, after critically looking at western poetic influence on Amjad’s work, this research will introduce the reader to a new Majeed Amjad who had a unique identifying accent that had been unknown till now.

The idea of the supernatural influence in the acts of humans in the past and present is indisputable. It is not in contention that beside God, there are divinities, which he created to support humans in their odyssey on earth. The supreme God, the divinities and spirits make up the ethereal world and in their various projections exercise some influences in the life and careers of their chosen persons or devotees. Religion and creativity are two major aspects that the supernatural influence has been popularly expressed. Creativity is not limited to the league of the ‘creative artistes’ in spite of the fact that the people commonly ascribe creativity to the practice of the theatre, literature and fine arts. Architecture, fashion design, interior decoration, carpentry, culinary and a number of other professional practices fall within the domain of creative endeavors. What is unique about the creative artiste is that he or she has a more robust influence of the supernatural or muse. Therefore, the objective of this study is to examine how the artist is inspired by the supernatural in the process of his or her artistry and how he or she responds to this extra-terrestrial impartation in the creation of his or her works. In particular, Joseph Alufa Igbinovia, an African carver, has been discussed and analyzed from the perspective of esoterism. The theoretical framework that has been adopted in this study is artistic communication theory (ACT), which is a means by which artists communicate their messages to the society. Artistic communication refers to a method of communication that uses a wide range of artistic endeavors such as music, drama, dance, speech making, painting, molding, carving and poetry to communicate messages to the audience, which is the hallmark of African art.

Abstract This study uses Mace and Ward’s model of the artistic process as a theoretical framework to examine the art-making processes of students enrolled in an Advanced Placement (AP) art class in a public high school. Previous scholarship about the artistic process is grounded in the experience of professional artists and has not sufficiently attended to whether and how the artistic process of students in K–12 classroom contexts mirrors the work of artists outside school contexts. Data from classroom observations and interviews of AP art students suggests students’ processes were closely aligned to Mace and Ward’s descriptive model of the art-making process. The data also suggest that two major factors influenced students’ artistic process in school contexts: the influence of the teacher and working in a shared classroom space.

There are few studies in which the focus is on cognitive determinants of artwork bidding. Using a micro approach, we explored factors that may influence bidders' offering from a psychological perspective. The 157 participants rated 25 paintings on the price they were willing to offer for works by famous Chinese artists executed in the traditional Chinese style and variants of the same works by a modern Chinese artist working in adaptations of the style of famous Western artists. Results showed that for both the Chinese and Western-style paintings in 3 price anchoring and 3 price nonanchoring conditions, 3 factors affected the bidding for the artworks: positive attraction, artistic quality, and cognitive stimulation. Of these factors positive attraction and artistic quality were the primary influences. In each condition, positive attraction was always the positive predictor of the bidders' offering, emphasizing the importance of the artwork's aesthetic value. In contrast, artistic quality deterred participants from bidding. In addition, whether or not there was a reference-point price made a difference in the traditional Chinese group of artworks. Bidders wished to offer a higher price only if the price had been high for the previous example of this artist's work that had sold.

The process of acquiring the author’s style, its semantic distinctive features, and the creation of the author’s identity is a fundamental problem for artists. The paper is devoted to the analysis of the artist’s native culture code influence on the creative concept and artistic language. Artistic inversion is important ‒ the inverse representation of the cultural code in the artist’s work. We consider artistic, pictorial inversion as a form of the artistic conceptualization. It contributes to the successful understanding of the connotations and intentions of the artist’s work by his audience. An analysis of Namdakov’s work allowed us to conceptualize the representation problem of the cultural code in Far East peoples’ contemporary art and describe artistic strategies that represent the influence of such semantic aspects of the cultural code as the influence of the artistic worldview, the strategies elevation of original interpretation and transformation of the animal style, the influence of the academic background. We define the artistic paradigm of the style as a style-forming factor in contemporary creative industries of artists who emerged from traditional crafts communities. The phenomenon of ethnic artistic tradition has been widely studied in the art history literature (T. M. Stepanskaya, A. V. Edokova, L. I. Nekhlyadovich). We believe, however, that attention should be focused on the content of “cultural code of artistic paradigm”, because ethnic artists consciously transform national artistic images and techniques through integration of their heritage into contemporary artistic language, culture and art background. This is particularly relevant for artists who institutionalize their style into a recognizable contemporary art language strategy. The main research question addressed in this paper is the representation peculiarities of the Namdakov’s artistic strategy semantic forms. He creates innovative ways of shaping, applies illogical, provocative and asymmetrical compositional solutions, creates fresh artistic metaphors, overcomes visual and figurative traditions and transforms ethnic artistic traditions into the leading artistic world-class trends of contemporary art. It has been proved that the animalistic style acquired a new modern dimension with the development of the creative industry in the regions of South-East Asia: the north of modern China and the art workshops of D. Namdakov and Zhigzhit Bayaskhalanov in the Russian Federation. It was the original interpretation of the animalistic style that became a powerful source for the development of traditional folk craft culture and brought the Far East peoples’ modern art to a new level of development, contributed to the evolution of the artist’s creative potential and gave many artists hope for creative expression.

The end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th century in art are associated with light and color in Europe, which were characteristic of the artistic philosophy of Impressionism. Prominent representatives of this movement created artworks based on a new approach to color choices and subject matter, including the depiction of real landscapes and floral compositions. The relevance of this research is driven by the need to study the artistic representation of floral compositions by the Ukrainian artist I. Trush through the prism of Impressionist stylistic elements. The research aims to identify the features of Impressionist philosophy in the works of I. Trush through a comparison of the artist's body of work with that of Impressionist contemporaries in the field of visual arts. In this research, scientific methods such as description, systematization, analysis, comparison, cultural-historical analysis, and generalization were employed. As a result of this scientific investigation, the fundamental characteristic traits of Impressionism as an art style in visual arts were studied, as well as the particular features that distinguish this artistic movement from previous artistic philosophies. The research also analyzed the conceptual framework of the term "Impressionism" and its origins. Furthermore, it examined the characteristic traits and features of the works of the Ukrainian painter I. Trush and Impressionist artists, allowing for the integration of the distinctive traits and features of Impressionism in the artist's work through comparison. Through the comparative analysis conducted in this scientific work between Impressionists and the artistic output of I. Trush, the involvement of the Ukrainian artist in the broader Impressionist movement was highlighted. This research can be utilized by scholars and art historians for further exploration of Impressionism as an artistic movement and its influence on the development of Ukrainian art.

Based on the creativity component theory, this paper discusses the influence of school organizational innovation atmosphere on artistic creativity from the perspective of digital media art. With the method of convenient sampling, 1,000 college students majoring in art were selected from representative comprehensive universities in Jilin, Shanxi, Chongqing, Guangxi and Shaanxi provinces for a questionnaire survey. According to the received valid data, SPSS 24.0 and AMOS 24.0 were used for statistical analysis, and SEM was used for path analysis of intermediary effect. The results are as follows: The higher the degree that art majors perceive the innovative atmosphere of school organization, the stronger their artistic creativity; The higher the degree that art majors perceive the innovative atmosphere of school organization, the easier it is to stimulate creative motivation; The stronger the creative motivation of art majors, the stronger their artistic creative ability; Creative motivation plays a partial intermediary role between the innovative atmosphere of school organization and artistic creativity, that is, the innovative atmosphere of school organization perceived by art majors can have a positive impact on their artistic creativity directly or indirectly through the intermediary effect of their creative motivation. Therefore, it is suggested that colleges and universities should make full use of digital media art, optimize the innovative atmosphere of school organization, and optimize the teaching scene of art majors. Stimulate the creative motivation of art majors and improve their artistic creativity.

AbstractMehterhane represents the most important musical formation found in the royal courts of Moldova and the Wallachia, because it is the one that makes the connection – from an artistic and political point of view – between these countries and the Ottoman Empire. The context in which this musical formation comes into the possession of the Romanian rulers is related to the geopolitical context of the Romanian Countries related to the Ottoman Empire. Due to the increasing influence of the Ottomans on the Romanian Countries, they become an integral part of the empire from the Ottoman perspective. As a result, the Romanian rulers received the sultan’s reign, in exchange for a sum of money, and they invested them according to Ottoman practice, by conferring a badge, as a representation of the sultan’s political power, among which elements were the mehterhane. This formation was the one that accompanied the ruler not only in all the official public events, but also in the private ones, assuring him the necessary grandeur, being as well regarded as a bey in the political hierarchy of the Gate from this point of view. From an artistic point of view, in Moldova and the Wallachia, the mehterhane had to be heard daily at dusk (chindie) and to make the parade, called “nöbet”. The music of mehterhane was both instrumental and vocal-instrumental, while the main repertoire consisted of military marches and prayers (gülbank), sung during war, while he performed octaves, bestels and semais following the structure of “fasıl” concerts, specific to Ottoman music in general during peacetime. Due to the psychological effect exerted on the enemies on the battlefield and the moralizing effect on the Ottoman soldiers, the mehterhane was also adopted by some European armies, without reaching the expected effect, due to the mismatch with the foreign environment where it was active. The more, it starts to become well known by Western influence and its musical influences are taken over by famous composers such as Mozart.

Referring to the aesthetic and philosophical treatises of the Modern Era and its artistic heritage, the author examines the driving force and key factors that determine manifestation and consolidation of changes in the expressiveness of the language of art. The dialectics of form and content occupy one of the central places in aesthetic theory. Studying the impact that the mechanisms of “artistic form wear” have on the evolution of artistic expressiveness from specific to general allows tracing how the content is formalized and concentrated in particular structures of the artistic language, thereby subsequently influencing the content of contemporary art. The author reveals the incentives that forced the artists of the Modern Era to look for new ways of expressiveness in their work, referring to both the “aesthetics from within”, i.e. the factor of self-movement of art, and the “aesthetics from the outside”, i.e. stereotypes of the era laid down by mentality, which determine the expressive form of art, the methods and techniques of expressiveness used by artists. The focus of attention in the article is shifted to the art of classicism, since it is in the strict academic framework that the elements of transformation and change in established forms become especially evident.

The article examines the influence of modern folk art on the formation of patriotic attitudes and psychological support of the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, on the roots and origins of folk art in the struggle for the independence of Ukraine, using the example of the work of the artist Oleksandr Lyhosherst. Today's cultural and artistic arena is a very heterogeneous phenomenon – the dominant artistic processes have shifted dramatically. Martial law, military actions of the state prompted the creative community to change the system of values – to readjust to a different plot, a figurative series. Agitation art dominates – daily reality dictates the need for creative personalities to find ways to psychologically support those who defend the borders of the state from the end of February 2022. The task of the research is the possibility of positioning art to accelerate the victory of Ukraine in the war with the Russian invaders, considering art as a method of raising the patriotic mood of the population, on agitation, moral support of Ukrainian soldiers, which is analyzed on the example of the works of the Kyiv painter Oleksandr Lyhosherst. Emphasis is placed on changes in the dominant forces in the cultural and artistic field of modern Ukraine, the cause of which is military aggression. Emphasis is placed on the war as the reason for a radical change in the storyline of the work of Ukrainian artists. The leading characteristics of Oleksandr Lyhosherst's work are highlighted, a brief overview of the formation of his creative path is given. Individual examples of the artist's work are presented, the influence of those phenomena that were important for the formation of his creative language is characterized. The plots, images, and principles of creating the main compositions that are in demand among the soldiers, who are the main customers of the artist's works, are emphasized. Parallels are drawn with the work of artists that influenced the formation of the painter's stylistics. Folk painting, nayiv positioned as dominant phenomena, on which O. Lyhosherst nurtured his art.

Research work devoted to the details of the Kyiv period of life and work of Ukrainian painter Illia Shulga. This period covers the years 1928-1938, at this time there were rapid changes in the artistic life of Ukraine, which affected the fate of the artist. For most of his life the painter lived and worked at a distance from active artistic life, only in the late 1920s he manage to move to Kyiv. Despite the noticeable influence of avant-garde in artistic life, Illia Shulga consistently followed a realistic approach to art, it was the influence of his education, obtained at the St. Petersburg Academy of Arts. He successfully worked in various genres (portrait, landscape, genre paintings). During his lifetime, the artist has created about 1,000 works (the Kyiv period accounts for about 170 works), but most of them have not survived to our time. Most of Shulga's works disappeared during World War II. Today, a little more than 20 of his works are preserved in the museums of Ukraine from the huge creative heritage of the artist. The article introduces a number of documents that shed light on the details of the artist's biography. In particular, the criminal case of Illia Shulga, which recorded a number of details of the last period of the artist's life. The documents of the case shed light on the details of the arrest, the course of the investigation, and the reasons for sentencing the painter. The publication also analyzed the most complete currently known list of Shulga’s works, which includes 564 items. The problem mentioned here is going to be investigated on the basis of epos materials, and for solving this problem the epos of “The Book of Dada Gorgud” and the anglosacs “Beowulf” texts were used by us here. The artistic text is playing the rode of realization of an artistic text. At this stage communication goes through the line of author-reader, together with this, in any text dealing with the occurance or the topic shows the participants taking part there. The author is also giving the speeches of participants in the process of the formation of a text. In the end in artistic text one can meet the speeches of the narrators (ozan, skop in epos) and the personages as well. In the process of text formation there will be mutual influence between these speech forms. In most cases the narrator’s speech will serve for concretizing of continuation and succession of the occurances and within this draws up the ozan-reader dialogue of course. With the rapid development of Chinas economy, contemporary Chinese art has also achieved unprecedented breakthroughs. With the expansion of globalization and as a socialist country with the unique nature of Chinese characteristics, how do the curatorial practices of Chinese contemporary art develop in a complex social environment? This research explores the influence of dominant groups on Chinas art collectors and contemporary art curatorial practice based on the Frankfurt Schools critical theory. Furthermore, the research expands this theory to a broader context of China. The curatorial practices of Chinese contemporary art are deeply controlled by monopoly capital, which influences the aesthetic preferences of the public through the monopoly of popular culture. It borrows the hands of wealthy collectors to manipulate the art market. Political parties set boundaries for artistic creation through strict censorship. On the positive hand, censorship promotes the inheritance of traditional culture. By understanding that there is an invisible hand behind human cultural and artistic activities, to warn that the self-consciousness people believe is usually the result of being influenced by others language and behavior.

Neo-Platonism had an influence on many artists during the Renaissance. Michelangelo is one of the most perfect artists to inherit and develop his ideas. This paper will take Neo-Platonism and the influence of Neo-Platonism on Michelangelo's artistic creation as the theme, combining the ideas of Neo-Platonism and the presentation of Michelangelo's works. In exploring this connection, it is found that Michelangelo did not accept Neo-Platonism as some sort of convincing philosophical system, much less as the fashion of the age, but as a metaphysical release of his own. Therefore, Michelangelo had a more complex ideological development process than their contemporaries. Neo-Platonism laid a solid theoretical foundation for Michelangelo's artistic creation. Finally, this paper analyzes the ways in which Michelangelo's sculpture "Dying Slave" and painting "Genesis" are influenced by Neo-Platonism. Due to the strong religious connotation of Neo-Platonism, the works of Michelangelo and the contemporary masters with more simple humanistic thoughts have a stronger religious tragedy color.

The article is devoted to the actual problem of identifying ways of cultural dialogue in modern art. The relevance of the topic is explained primarily by the complexity of the perception of the works of modern artists by an unprepared viewer. The author considers how this process took place at different stages of updating the artistic language of art. Four main chronological periods are proposed for consideration; in each of them the ways of cultural dialogue with archaic and classical pictorial traditions are considered. The author emphasizes that despite the manifest refusal of avant-garde artists from all forms previous art, at the same time they are all one way or another oriented towards certain images and symbols that already existed in art. Thus, forms of cultural dialogue with the art of the past were carried out. The renewal of the artistic language of modern art was not only due to the forms of dialogue with predecessors in art. Avant-garde artists, like those who followed them, turned to discoveries in various fields of science. Science contributed to the emergence of entire trends in art, including the birth of abstract painting. This is how the abstract systems of K. Malevich and V. Kandinsky appeared. In the middle of the twentieth century, under the influence of the discoveries of physics, the so-called "nuclear painting" appeared. Some types of abstraction of this period are born under the influence of human space exploration. The artists also showed particular interest in music, which should have led to a synthesis of all forms of creativity. The methods of cultural dialogue in the latest art are also influenced by social processes, which were reflected in different ways in the creative searches of the creators of a new artistic reality. The impact of the Second World War was especially tangible. Of interest are the forms of cultural dialogue between representatives of the avant-garde and modern artists with classical art. Each appeal to the classics gives rise to new meanings. Cultural dialogue is important in introducing the viewer to the ways of creating a new artistic reality. The artist's involvement of the viewer in the process of the birth of new meanings makes it possible to realize the changes; that take place in the creative mind. Modern art provides the viewer with the opportunity to participate in the creation of a new artistic reality. However, this process requires the viewer to be ready and make an effort to perceive a new artistic language, including through cultural dialogue.
