Resumo:

Questo contributo prende spunto dal celebre volume di Chiara Frugoni, Historia Alexandri Magni elevati per griphos ad aerem. Origine, iconografia e fortuna di un tema (Roma, Istituto Storico per il Medioevo Italiano, 1973), e vuole presentare un approfondimento per quanto riguarda l’ambito dei volgarizzamenti italiani del Romanzo di Alessandro, che pare non aver riscosso finora grande attenzione da parte degli studiosi. In questo saggio si propone dunque uno studio delle caratteristiche della scena del volo nei volgarizzamenti italiani della seconda redazione della Historia de preliis Alexandri Magni, passando attraverso lo studio delle tradizioni illustrative dei manoscritti miniati (prevalentemente di ambito francese). Particolarmente innovativo è l’allargamento del campo di indagine alle possibili relazioni tra i manoscritti figurati e la presenza nei volgarizzamenti di dettagli assenti nella versione latina di partenza (forse per il tramite di un modello latino che già conteneva in sé una o più variabili).

Resumo:

Se describe una nueva especie de Cyathea y se propone un nuevo nombre para Cyathea parva (Maxon) R.M. Tryon, debido a problemas nomenclaturales. Además, se presenta una lista prelimi- nar de las especies colombianas de Cyathea, con anotaciones relativas a la distribución geográfica y altitudinal. El género está formado por 55 especies y 5 variedades, que se distribuyen ampliamente en todo el país, pero el mayor número de especies se registra en la región Andina, en alturas menores de 2.500 m.

Kada je 1986. godine Milan Kučan preuzeo mjesto predsjednika slovenskih komunista, želio je što manje promjena federalnog državnog uređenja i onoga što su komunisti smatrali temeljnim načelima socijalizma, a to su “društveno vlasništvo” i radničko samoupravljanje. Stoga su Kučan i većina njegovih kolega u slovenskom vodstvu i dalje bili vjerni komunističkoj sekularnoj utopiji u njezinoj jugoslavenskoj samoupravnoj inačici. Bio je vrlo kritičan i prema slovenskom nacionalizmu kad je imao otvoreno separatističke stavove, čak se slagao i s prijenosom određenih ovlasti na federaciju. Zalagao se za društvene promjene u dva smjera: 1) davanje više prostora tržišnim mehanizmima u gospodarstvu nauštrb državne regulacije i 2) politička demokratizacija koju bi kontrolirali komunisti, iako s potpuno neodređenim ishodima. Obje su orijentacije bile zajedničke jugoslavenskom komunističkom establišmentu tih godina, iako je slovenski ogranak predlagao brži tempo od većine ostalih. Jugoslavenski su komunisti u proljeće 1988. dogovorili koherentan program gospodarskih, a donekle i političkih reformi. Kučan je na takav razvoj događaja reagirao s nadom. No, ta su pitanja odmah i daleko bila nadmašena onima o naciji i državnosti. Već 1987. događaji u Sloveniji i Jugoslaviji postali su previše dinamični da bi se Kučanovi planovi mogli održati. Nacionalna mobilizacija javnog mnijenja, koja je 1980-ih započela u Sloveniji i Srbiji, potaknula je duboku transformaciju u svjetonazorima slovenskih komunista. U jesen 1987. došlo je do bujice prosvjeda protiv predloženih amandmana na savezni ustav, a zatim ponovno u lipnju i srpnju 1988. zbog suđenja Janši , kada se s foruma i novina prelila se na ulice i trgove. U oba slučaja Kučan se naposlijetku pridružio nacionalnom pokretu unatoč početnom nedostatku razumijevanja za tvrdnje njegovih protagonista. Postalo je jasno da je jugoslavenska orijentacija slovenskih komunističkih vođa već bila previše apstraktna da bi izdržala izazov koji je postavila nacionalna mobilizacija. Štoviše, komunisti se nisu pozivali na jugoslavenski demos i vidjeli su ga isključivo na razini nacija, dok se moć federacije temeljila na pregovorima i konsenzusu među nacionalnim elitama. Njihovo je jugoslavenstvo stoga moglo brzo nestati tijekom krize legitimiteta komunističke vladavine, poput one u Sloveniji nakon 1987–1988. Nadalje, nacionalni elan koji se proširio s nižih slojeva društva utjecao je i na same komuniste. Kučan se izvrsno nosio s promjenjivom situacijom. Potkraj 1988. već je djelovao kao nacionalni vođa u borbama s federalnim centrom. Također je otišao prilično daleko na mukotrpnom putu odbacivanja osobnog komunističkog identiteta, zacrtavajući put prema svojoj budućoj dužnosti nestranačkog predsjednika neovisne Slovenije.

Late in March 1604, as his biographer John Strype records, Archbishop John Whitgift's “Corps was carried to Croydon … and there honourably interred in the Parish-Church … with a decent Solemnity.” Sir George Paule concurred, noting that the “Funerall was very honourably (as befitted his place) solemnized.” The funeral's honor, decency, and solemnity were somewhat marred, however, for among those laudatory elegies and epitaphs traditionally placed upon hearses, some audacious soul had contrived to pin a far from complimentary piece of doggerel. Entitled “The Lamentation of Dickie for the Death of his Brother Jockie”—Jockie being Whitgift and Dickie his successor as archbishop, Richard Bancroft—the poem was a vicious tirade against the late archbishop and his policies. Resumo:

Le Roman d'Alexandre en prose est une adaptation de l'œuvre latine Historia de preliis Alexandri Magni I2 (Orosius-Rezension) en ancien français et a été composé par un auteur inconnu dans les trois dernières décennies du XIIIe siècle (ca.1260-1299). Ce projet propose une étude philologique-littéraire du roman et une édition critique “néolachmannienne” de son texte, pourvue d'un apparat des variantes. La tradition manuscrite (vingt témoins dont deux perdus), imprimée (onze éditions entre 1506 et 1631) et indirecte (sept cas de réemploi de l'œuvre de la deuxième moitié du XIII siècle à la fin du XVI siècle) a fait l'objet d'une description détaillée. L'analyse des variantes textuelles des dix-huit témoins a abouti à une hypothèse sur la transmission de l'œuvre, qui a été représentée dans un stemma codicum. De plus, la mise à jour du recensement des manuscrits de l'Historia de preliis I2 et leur analyse a permis d'identifier la branche de la tradition de l'œuvre latine dont le modèle de la traduction française a dérivé. Des critères d'édition univoques et contrôlables ont été ainsi établis sur la base de ces études. Le manuscrit d'où la surface graphique du texte critique a été puisée a fait l'objet d'une analyse codicologique et linguistique ponctuelle. En outre, l'édition a été complémentée d'un commentaire analytique et d'un glossaire. Sur le plan littéraire, une étude des passages où le traducteur s'est éloigné du texte-source a éclairé les modalités de compilation des sources secondaires (telles que le Roman d'Alexandre en vers, l'Histoire Ancienne jusqu'à César, le Trésor) et la spécificité de certaines de ses interventions originelles
The Roman d'Alexandre en prose is an Old French adaptation of the Latin chronicle known as Historia de preliis Alexandri Magni I2 (Orosius-Rezension). It has been redacted by an unknown author at a certain point during the last three decades of the XIIIth century (around 1260-1299). This project consists of a philological and literary study of the romance and of its “neolachmannian” critical edition. The Old French Prose Alexander's tradition, including the eighteen manuscripts, the eleven printed editions and its indirect tradition, has been described in detail. The scrutiny of its witnesses' textual variants resulted in a hypothesis on its genealogical transmission, which has been represented in a stemma codicum. Moreover, through an analysis of its Latin original's manuscript tradition, we identified the exact branch the model of the French adaptation derived from. Based on those in-depth studies, verifiable and univocal editing principles have been established. The manuscript used for the graphic surface of the critical edition has been the purpose of a specific codicological and linguistic description. Besides, the main interpretative and philological issues have been extensively discussed in a point-by-point comment. The edition has been equipped with a critical apparatus and a glossary, as well. On the literary ground, the investigation of the passages unconnected to the Latin original revealed the specific way in which the author compiled secondary sources such as the verses Roman d'Alexandre, the Histoire Ancienne jusqu'à César, the Tresor, and original contributions
