Resumo:
Notes on some Macrostemum Kolenati, 1859, from the Malagasy eastern coast (Trichoptera, Hydropsychidae). Macrostemum pangalanorum Gibon n. sp and M. estebani Gibon n. sp. are described from the eastern coastal regions of Madagascar. Macrostemum estebani is compared to M. madagascariense (Ulmer, 1905), a very similar species. Schematic distribution maps and ecological indications on these three species, as well as M. marabe Gibon & Andriambelo, 2001, M. obscurum (Banks, 1920) and M. tsilo Andriambelo & Gibon, 2001, are provided and briefly commented.

Résumé Le 28 février 1571, Montaigne se retire in doctarum virginum sinus , « giron des Muses ». Une inscription de sa « librairie » consacre cet événement. Le « giron » - et d’abord celui de la paysanne qui fut sa nourrice - est cet espace fantasmatique où le gentilhomme entend fuir les tracas de la vie publique pour se donner à soi après s’être prêté à autrui. Mais il est aussi le lieu où il fait l’expérience du paradoxe, et le laboratoire d’une philosophie qui rêve la science, la mélancolie, la volupté, la nature, la loi divine comme autant d’hypostases de la bonne Mère. Introjectant l’image maternelle, Montaigne parvient enfin à trouver en lui-même son « propre giron », d’où naît, sans « l’accointance » d’une femme, un livre-enfant appelé à devenir « plus riche » que son « père et mère ».

One of the best episodes in Petronius' Satyrica involves the presence of the narrator, Encolpius, his lover Giton, and the rogue-poet Eumolpus, on board a ship owned by Lichas, of which another passenger is the flighty matron, Tryphaena. In an earlier episode of the novel, Lichas seems to have been the lover of Encolpius and Tryphaena of Giton, though both affairs had ended in enmity. There ensues a comic deliberation between Encolpius and Giton about ways of escape. One of them involves the ink which Eumolpus has brought aboard as a man of literature. Encolpius suggests that he and Giton dye themselves with it from head to foot and pretend to be Eumolpus' Ethiopian (that is, African) slaves. Giton contemptuously dismisses the idea, and proposes suicide. Eumolpus intervenes with what he considers a better idea. His manservant, who is a barber, will shave the heads and eyebrows of Encolpius and Giton, and then he himself 'will mark your faces with an elaborate inscription to give the impression that you have been punished with a mark. That way the same letters will both allay the suspicions of your pursuers and hide your faces with the appearance of punishment' ('sequar ego frontes notans inscriptione sollerti, ut uideamini stigmate esse puniti. ita eaedem litterae et suspicionem declinabunt quaerentium et uultus umbra supplicii tegent'). This is agreed to, and 'Eumolpus filled the foreheads of us both with huge letters, and with generous hand covered our whole faces with the wellknown inscription of runaway slaves' ('impleuit Eumolpus frontes utriusque ingentibus litteris et notum fugitiuorum epigramma per totam faciem liberali manu duxit').

Knowledge of the ontogeny and development of vocalization in primates play a crucial role in understanding the evolution of the human language. Unlike the great apes, gibbons produce a remarkable vocal performance, which includes complex species- and sex-specific patterns. Many studies in the past focused on research of the acoustic pattern in adult individuals. Yet, it remains unclear how the males develop their sex-specific pattern of vocalization. This dissertation focuses on two specific periods in the ontogenetic development of acoustic structures in male Northern-white cheeked gibbons (Nomascus leucogenys) and Southern-yellow cheeked gibbons (Nomascus gabriellae). The results showed that the first time immature males (juvenile and adolescent) produced female acoustically structured great calls in duets with their mothers. How the great call was structured in immature males differed from the great call of their mothers; the difference being in spectro-temporal parameters from. The most significant difference between juvenile and adolescent males in the production of female vocalization was the presence of a twitter vocalization towards the end of their call. The results show that the twitter was a regular part of female vocalization in juvenile males around four years of age, while younger males produced this vocalization exceptionally. The second period in the ontogeny of vocalization in immature males (adolescent) was characterized by the fact that after five years of age, the development of the male acoustic structure begins. During this period, we did not observe the production of the female vocalization great call in any of the monitored Nomascus gibbon individuals. Results show that the ontogenetic process of the male song in Northern-white cheeked gibbons (N. leucogenys) did not develop in the same sequence as in adults which produced different notes and phrases. The immature male (adolescent male) first time developed the multi-modulation phrase (coda) and the staccato note (syllables) simultaneously at the beginning of this study, but, it was observed that they started producing the boom note four months later. Conversely, the development of the acoustic structure in male Southern-yellow cheeked gibbons (N. gabriellae) was characterized only by the development of a multi-modulation phrase. Development of the staccato syllables was not noted in this species during the study. The results support the interpretation that the development of the male acoustic structure closely corresponds to the growth of the vocal tract and physiological changes associated with reaching sexual maturity.

Introduktion Mellan den 13:e och 15:e september 2022 anordnades övning Giron 2022 i Kiruna. Ett av målen med övningen var att den skulle kunna visa på ett övningskoncept som med regionala anpassningar kan användas för att öka takten inom utvecklingen av den civila beredskapen i Sverige. För att undersöka eventuella utvecklingsbehov kopplat till övningskonceptet utvärderades konceptet med fokus på övningsplaneringen och -genomförandet. Metod Vid utvärderingen användes en konsensusorienterad metod bestående av två workshops och en enkät däremellan. Under den första workshopen ombads de 27 deltagarna anteckna utvecklingsförslag baserat på lärdomar från övningsplaneringen och -genomförandet. Utifrån deltagarnas anteckningar skapades en enkät med 55 påståenden. Denna enkät skickades till de 49 individer som var inbjudna till den andra workshopen. I enkäten ombads de 37 respondenterna besvara varje påstående på skalan ett till nio, där ett motsvarade instämmer inte alls och nio instämmer fullständigt. Enkätsvaren användes för att beräkna huruvida påståendena nådde konsensus, vilket antingen kunde vara för att behålla eller för att förkasta. De påståenden som inte nådde konsensus i enkäten omformulerades inför den andra workshopen. Under detta tillfälle diskuterade de 32 deltagarna dessa påståenden, följt av en separat omröstning för varje påstående enligt samma metodik som i enkäten. Svaren från omröstningen användes för att beräkna konsensus likt enkätsvaren. Resultat De påståenden som nådde konsensus från enkäten och den andra workshopen delades in i sex teman och presenterades i en konsensusskrift. De sex temana är: övningskonceptet generellt, planering, föreläsningar, syfte och mål, övningsupplägg och utvärdering. Påståendena visar bland annat att övningskonceptet fortsatt ska användas och utvecklas, att övningars syfte i främsta hand bör vara att höja förmågor snarare än bibehålla förmågor, att det ska läggas ett stort fokus på beslutsfattande i framtida övningar och att tekniska hjälpmedel såsom Rakel, WIS och GIS ska användas under övningar. Slutsats För att utveckla övningskonceptet bör övningsorganisatörer som planerar genomföra framtida liknande övningar utifrån övningskonceptet Giron 2022 använda konsensusskriften som riktlinje under övningsplaneringen och -genomförandet.

The paper will present the preliminary design of the so called GICON® - Tension Leg Platform (TLP) as an innovative foundation concept for floating offshore wind turbines. Preliminary results from model basin tests are also shared. This includes the currently ongoing research of comparing calculated and experimental data obtained through extensive wind and wave tank experiments with a scale model of an offshore wind turbine at the Maritime Research Institute Netherlands (MARIN) in June 2013. These tests have provided insights regarding the dynamic characteristics of the GICON®-TLP by analyzing the system’s response to different load cases. The experiments included wind and wave loads, which represent three different sea states, each with three different directions of inflow. The chosen load cases correspond to the proposed location in the German Baltic Sea where the full scale prototype will be erected.

This paper will give a short overview of the path of development of the so called GICON® - Tension Leg Platform (TLP) for offshore wind turbines. The main part of the paper will provide a summary as well as insights from three different model basin tests. Furthermore, the comparison of a truss like structure (first concept) with a shell type structure (third concept) deduced from the measured results and also by comparison of the natural frequencies will be presented. Both structures were tested in wave tanks in a scale of 1:25. The results also include a focus on the overall dynamic behavior of the structure. In addition to the two 1:25 models, a 1:37 model was also tested at MARIN, utilizing the MARIN stock wind turbine. This model is also included in the comparison. Therefore the different scales are considered but the comparison is presented exclusively for wave loads as only the 1:37 model was tested under wind and wave conditions.

En este artículo exploramos un caso de internacionalización en el mercado de alimentos funcionales y nutracéuticos. El caso se basa en una empresa de base tecnológica argentina, Gihon Laboratorios Químicos (Gihon), que especializada en el desarrollo y exportación de compuestos químicos aprovecha sus capacidades tecnológicas, financieras y de comercio exterior para diversificase hacia un mercado de alto valor y crecimiento en el sector de alimentos desarrollando productos innovadores en base a aceite de pescado concentrado de omega 3. En el artículo exploramos la estrategia de diversificación e internacionalización de Gihon, haciendo hincapié en cómo la empresa ha migrado capacidades desde el sector farmo-químico al alimenticio. El artículo está organizado de la siguiente manera. En la primera sección presentamos el caso de Gihon. En la segunda sección describimos el contexto de mercado el cual la empresa se inserta. Primeramente, analizamos los principales cambios de mercado, tecnológicos y regulatorios que han afectado al mercado del aceite de pescado y de alimentos funcionales y nutracéuticos en las últimas décadas. Luego, analizamos la evolución de la participación de la Argentina en dichos mercados con foco en el de aceite de pescado. En la tercera sección, analizamos el proceso de diversificación de Gihon desde el sector farmo-químico al alimenticio, estilizando los principales elementos de interés en ese proceso. En la cuarta sección focalizamos en la estrategia de inserción internacional de Gihon en el mercado alimenticio. En la sección cinco, hacemos foco en los bienes públicos que han sido esenciales para la estrategia de crecimiento de Gihon en general y en los mercados externos en particular. Finalmente, en la sexta y última sección, analizamos las oportunidades y desafíos de la empresa para fortalecer su crecimiento e inserción exportadora en el segmento de alimentos funcionales y nutracéuticos.
